It has been the 636th day of the Ukrainian resistance to the russian military aggression.

What happened in Ukraine today:

Here is operational information of the General Staff as of 6 pm:

The russian federation continues to ignore the laws and customs of war, uses terror tactics, launches strikes, and shells both military and civilian targets.

On November 21, there were 33 combat clashes. The enemy launched a total of 4 missile strikes, 37 air strikes, 19 MLRS attacks at the positions of Ukrainian troops and various settlements. Moreover, on the night of November 21, the occupiers launched another strike on Ukraine, using 4 S-300 anti-aircraft guided missiles, 1 Iskander-K cruise missile and 10 Shahed-136/131 attack UAVs. On top of that, the enemy attacked the port infrastructure in the city of Odesa and in Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi region of Odesa oblast with Kh-31P missiles. Russian terrorist attacks have unfortunately resulted in deaths and injuries among civilians. Private residential buildings, the Central city hospital in the city of Selydove (Donetsk oblast), and Kotliarevska mine, as well as other civilian infrastructure, were destroyed and damaged.

The operational situation in eastern and southern Ukraine remains difficult.

Towards Volyn and Polissia, there are no significant changes. No signs of formation of an offensive group are observed. Certain units of the armed forces of belarus continue their missions in the areas bordering Ukraine.

Towards Siversk and Sloboda, the enemy maintains its military presence in the areas of russia bordering Ukraine. The enemy continues its sabotage and reconnaissance activities, shelling Ukrainian settlements from the territory of russia and increases the density of minefields along the state border of Ukraine. The invaders launched an airstrike in the vicinities of Leonivka and Popivka (Chernihiv oblast). Around 30 settlements came under enemy artillery and mortar fire, including Kliusy, Bleshnia, Leonivka, Buchky, Hremiach (Chernihiv oblast), Volfyne, Bilovody, Basivka, Mohrytsia (Sumy oblast), Veterynarne, and Budarky (Kharkiv oblast).

The invaders fired artillery and mortars at more than 10 settlements, including Synkivka, Petropavlivka, Ivanivka, Kyslivka, Kotliarivka, and Tabaivka (Kharkiv oblast).

Towards Lyman, the enemy conducted assault operations near Siversk (Donetsk oblast), to no success. The invaders launched an airstrike in the area of Serebrianka forestry (Luhansk oblast). The occupiers fired artillery and mortars at around 15 settlements, including Makiivka, Nevske (Luhansk oblast), Yampolivka, Torske, Dibrova, and Spirne (Donetsk oblast).

Towards Bakhmut, Ukrainian defenders repelled 5 enemy attacks in the vicinity of Klishchiivka and east of Pivdenne (Donetsk oblast). More than 20 settlements, including Bohdanivka, Ivanivske, Klishchiivka, Andriivka, Druzhba, and Pivdenne (Donetsk oblast), came under artillery and mortar fire.

Towards Avdiivka, the enemy conducted unsuccessful assault operations east of Novobakhmutivka, Sieverne, Pervomaiske and Avdiivka (Donetsk oblast), where the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 8 attacks. The enemy fired artillery and mortars at more than 15 settlements, including Keramik, Berdychi, Orlivka, Avdiivka, Sieverne, and Pervomaiske (Donetsk oblast).

Towards Marinka, the russian army made failed assaults in the vicinities of Marinka and Novomykhailivka (Donetsk oblast), where Ukrainian defenders repelled 15 attacks. The settlements of Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, Marinka, Novomykhailivka, and Katerynivka (Donetsk oblast) were under artillery and mortar fire.

Towards Shakhtarske, the invaders conducted assault operations west of Staromaiorske (Donetsk oblast), to no success. Around 10 settlements, including Vuhledar, Novoukrainka, Prechystivka, Zolota Nyva, and Urozhaine (Donetsk oblast), came under artillery and mortar fire.

The enemy launched an airstrike near Urozhaine (Zaporizhzhia oblast). More than 25 settlements, including Luhivske, Orikhiv, Novodanylivka, Robotyne, Kamianske, and Prymorske (Zaporizhzhia oblast), came under artillery and mortar fire.

Towards Kherson, the invaders launched airstrikes in the vicinities of Zmiivka, Novoberyslav, Kozatske. The settlements of Beryslav, Ivanivka, Ponyativka, and Antonivka (Kherson oblast), the city of Kherson and the city of Ochakiv (Mykolaiv oblast) suffered from enemy artillery shelling.

At the same time, the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue their offensive operation towards Melitopol and offensive (assault) operations towards Bakhmut, inflicting losses in manpower and equipment on the occupation forces, exhausting the enemy all along the front line.

Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to hold their ground on the left bank of the Dnipro River (Kherson oblast) and continue to inflict fire on the enemy.

The russian occupiers continue the forced passportization on the temporarily occupied territories of Luhansk oblast. Thus, in order to increase moral pressure on Ukrainian residents of Luhansk oblast and force them to obtain russian citizenship, the so-called russian occupation government adopted decision that only those Ukrainian citizens who agreed to obtain a russian passport will be able to receive compensation for the purchase of coal and firewood for the heating season.

The  Ukrainian Air Force launched 1 strike on a command post, 6 strikes on buildups of troops, weapons and military equipment, and 2 strikes on air defense systems of the occupiers.

The Ukrainian rocket troops hit 3 buildups of troops, weapons and military equipment, and 1 ammunition depot of the russian invaders.

Ukraine has returned the bodies of 94 defense personnel who were killed in the line of duty. The transfer of the bodies was carried out in cooperation with the Integrated Center of the Security Service of Ukraine, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Emergency Situations Department of Sumy oblast, the National Border Guard, and representatives of other security and defense departments of Ukraine. Representatives of the International Committee of the Red Cross also facilitated and directly participated in the transfer of the bodies.

The Ministry of Defense has established a special organization for the integration of the F-16 fighter aircraft. The main areas of work are support and maintenance of airfield infrastructure (airbases), comprehensive protection of airfield infrastructure including air defense systems, selection and training of aircrew and other aviation personnel, aircraft life cycle support and logistical support, international communications, and other legal, financial, security, and administrative functions. Currently, Ukraine continues to evaluate airfields for multirole fighter aircraft with the assistance of foreign experts, and Ukraine’s first pilots and engineers continue training for the F-16, which began in August of this year.

The ministries concerned are looking for a solution to the prolonged air alert caused by enemy MiG-31 flights. These flights will put national life and the economy on lockdown for several hours. This has also disrupted the educational process, forcing schools to remain in shelters during this time. Yurii Ikhnat, Spokesman for the Ukrainian Armed Forces Air Force Command, says that a solution is needed that will satisfy all.

The roofs of such apartment buildings are being closed, isolating the residents even more.

In the communities of Luhansk oblast close to the border with russia, specifically Mylove, units of the russian Guard and police from moscow region arrived.
