It has been the 781st day of the Ukrainian resistance to the russian military aggression. 

What happened in Ukraine today:

Here is operational information of the General Staff as of 6 pm:   

On 14 April , there were 42 tactical engagements. 

The enemy launched a total of 8 missile and 65 air strikes, 57 MLRS attacks on the positions of Ukrainian troops and various settlements. 

Towards Volyn and Polissia, there were no significant changes. No signs of formation of an offensive group were found. 

Towards Siversk and Sloboda, the russian army maintains its military presence in the russian areas bordering Ukraine. The enemy conducts subversion, continues shelling of Ukrainian settlements from the territory of russia and increases the concentration of mining operations along the state border of Ukraine. They launched airstrikes in the vicinity of Khliborob (Sumy oblast), Lyptsi, Vovchansk (Kharkiv oblast). More than 20 settlements, including Hremiach (Chernihiv oblast), Nova Huta, Volfyne, Loknia, Myropillia, and Stepok (Sumy oblast) came under enemy artillery and mortar fire.

Towards Kupiansk and Lyman, the russian army conducted no offensives. However, the enemy launched airstrikes in the vicinities of Kupiansk Petropavlivka, Podoly (Kharkiv oblast), Serebrianka forestry (Luhansk oblast), and Novosadove (Donetsk oblast). The invaders fired artillery and mortars at more than 10 settlements, including Nevske (Luhansk oblast), Terny, Yampolivka, and Torske (Donetsk oblast).

Towards Bakhmut, the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 6 attacks in the vicinities of Bilohorivka (Luhansk oblast), Verkhnokamianske, Novyi, Chasiv Yar, Niu-York, and Klishchiivka (Donetsk oblast), where the russian army, using air strikes, attempted to improve its tactical position. More than 10 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire, including Hryhorivka, Kalynivka, and Novyi (Donetsk oblast).

Towards Avdiivka, the Ukrainian defenders repelled 6 attacks in the vicinities of Novobakhmutivka, Novokalynove, Pervomaiske, and Netailove (Donetsk oblast), where the enemy, using air attacks, made attempts to dislodge Ukrainian troops from their positions. They launched airstrikes in the vicinities of Berdychi, Umanske, Semenivka, and Yasnobrodivka (Donetsk oblast). The invaders fired artillery and mortars at around 10 settlements, including Novokalynove, Novobakhmutivka, Netailove, and Nevelske (Donetsk oblast).

Towards Novopavlivka, the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to block the enemy near Krasnohorivka and Novomykhailivka (Donetsk oblast), where the invaders made 11x attempts to breach Ukrainian defense. They launched airstrikes in the vicinities of Vodiane and Oleksandropil (Donetsk oblast). The enemy fired artillery and mortars at more than 10 settlements, including Heorhiivka, Kostiantynivka, and Vuhledar (Donetsk oblast).

Towards Orikhiv, with air support, the enemy launched 4 attacks on positions of Ukrainian defenders in the vicinity of Staromaiorske (Donetsk oblast). The invaders launched airstrikes in the vicinity of Robotyne (Zaporizhzhia oblast). Around 20 settlements, specifically Chervone, Huliaipilske, Novodanylivka, and Mali Shcherbaky (Zaporizhzhia oblast), were under artillery and mortar fire.

Towards Kherson, the invaders launched 1 unsuccessful attack on positions of the Ukrainian troops in the vicinity of Krynky (Kherson oblast). The occupiers fired artillery and mortars at more than 15 settlements, including Tyahynka, Ivanivka, Mykilske, Bilozerka, Veletenske, Mykhailivka, Kizomys, Beryslav (Kherson oblast) and the city of Kherson.

The Ukrainian Air Force launched airstrikes on 22 buildups of enemy troops, weapons and military equipment.


Andrii Lebedenko, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, informs that Ukraine will launch an “Iron Range” to help support Ukrainian producers and reduce the time for manufacturing new weapons for the Armed Forces. He also adds that the current system provides for more complicated procedures for private producers to gain access to testing at landfills, so the government wants to simplify it. 

As reported by the Ministry of Defense, Ukraine presented the E620, a domestic jet-powered attack UAV, the Kazhan. This drone can repeatedly drop ammunition or mines on targets and is capable of carrying various munitions at an altitude of up to 1000 meters at a speed of up to 72 km/h and a distance of up to 12 kilometers.

 

Recent war events in the east of Ukraine

Kharkiv oblast

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that Kupiansk, Petropavlivka and Podillia were hit by airstrikes. Also russia did not conduct offensive actions towards Kupiansk.

Viacheslav Zadorenko informed that russians attacked Slatyne of Derhachi community by two anti-aircraft gunships. A 51-year-old woman sustained a shrapnel wound to her back as a result of the attack on Slatyne and was hospitalised. As a result of the attack, 8 houses, both private and apartment buildings, were damaged. Three cars of residents were also damaged.

Viktor Kovalenko, Head of the local Village Military Administration, said that Ivashky village of Zolochiv community was under mortar attack at around 2:30pm. Two private houses, outbuildings and power grids were damaged as a result of the strikes. There were no casualties.

Oleh Syniehubov, Head of Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, said that at 12:06am, Kharkiv was shelled. The enemy used drones, targeting critical infrastructure.

The press service of Kharkiv regional State Emergency Service reported a 64-year-old man tripped over an anti-personnel mine while fishing near Martove, Chuhuiv region. The man was hospitalised in critical condition with multiple shrapnel wounds to his right leg.

Yesterday about 17 settlements in Kharkiv oblast suffered enemy artillery and mortar attacks: Lyptsi, Podoly, Vesele and others. Zahryzove, Borova, Slobozhanske, Vesele, Pershotravneve, Kopanky, Kolodiazi suffered airstrikes.

At 9:23pm, 2 private houses were damaged as a result of the shelling of Vesele village of Lyptsi community, Kharkiv region, by KAB bombs. A 61-year-old woman and a 68-year-old man were killed.

At 9:21pm, an outbuilding was burning as a result of the shelling in Podoly village of Kurylivka community, Kupiansk region. During the shelling of Podoly village around 8pm, a 40-year-old woman was injured.

At 3:30pm, nearby private houses were damaged as a result of shelling by two MRLs in Slobozhanske village of Lyptsi community, Kharkiv region.

At 3:20, a house and a car were damaged as a result of hostile aerial shelling by an unidentified aerial vehicle in Cherkaski Tyshky village, Kharkiv region.

At 1:25pm, a 57-year-old driver of an emergency medical team was injured as a result of a munition drop from an FPV drone in Petropavlivka village of Kupiansk region.

On 13 April at 10:20am, Zahryzove village of Borova community, Izium region,  were affected. A house and outbuildings were damaged.

The enemy did not conduct any offensive actions towards Kupiansk yesterday.

Combined teams of explosive experts cleared 37.19 hectares of mines and destroyed 413 explosive ordnance.

Donetsk oblast

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that the russian army increased the number of attacks towards Bakhmut and decreased towards Avdiivka. In total, the Defence Forces repelled about 70 attacks in Luhansk, Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia oblasts over the day.

Commander-in-Chief Syrskyi informed that the russian military leadership has set the task to take Chasiv Yar by 9 May, and russia is concentrating its efforts to break through the defences west of Bakhmut to reach the Siverskyi Donets-Donbas canal and capture Chasiv Yar. According to him, the enemy infantry managed to reach Novyi neighbourhood, but were destroyed by Ukrainian drone and artillery strikes. Syrskyi added that the brigades in this area had been reinforced with additional ammunition, drones and electronic warfare equipment.

Selydove City Military Administration reported about night shelling by S-300 missiles and in the morning the enemy dropped a 30cm diameter modified UMPB bomb on the town. There were no casualties, an educational institution, apartment buildings, private houses and an agricultural enterprise were damaged.

The operational situation in the oblast as of the morning of 14 April is as follows:

Towards Volnovakha, a person was injured in Bohoiavlenka of Vuhledar community.

Towards Pokrovsk, in Marinka community, a person was injured in Krasnohorivka, while Antonivka, Katerynivka and Maksymilianivka shelled. 2 people were injured and one killed in Ocheretyne and 2 people killed in Netailove. In Selydove, 5 five-storey buildings, 2 private houses, 3 administrative buildings and 6 outbuildings were damaged. In Novoselydivka of Kurakhove community, 1 person was killed and 1 injured, 15 private houses damaged.

Towards Kramatorsk, an infrastructure facility was damaged in Lyman, while Yampolivka, Terny, Ivanivka and Zarichne shelled. One facility was damaged in Zoria of Illinivsk community. The outskirts of Kostiantynivka community were under attack.

Towards Bakhmut, 11 private houses and an apartment building were damaged in Chasiv Yar community. A house was damaged in Siversk.

In total, russians attacked settlements in Donetsk oblast 15 times. 87 people, 7 children, were evacuated from the front line.

Vadym Filashkin, Head of Donetsk Regional Military Administration, reported that yesterday russians killed 3 civilians: 2 in Netailove and 1 in Novoselydivka. Another 5 people were injured in the oblast over the day.

12-year-old Yana Stepanenko, who lost both legs in a russian missile attack on the railway station in Kramatorsk in 2022, ran 5km at Boston Marathon using prosthesis. The purpose of her race was to raise money for a sports prosthesis for soldier Oleksandr Riasnyi, who lost his leg while defending Zaporizhzhia.

Luhansk oblast

The enemy took an operational pause towards both Lyman and Kupiansk. All of the enemy attacks were concentrated on Bilohorivka, where our defenders were bravely holding the line and preventing the invaders from advancing. However, russians continue to hit villages where civilians still live. Makiivka and Nevske were under artillery and mortar attack. Enemy UAVs also targeted the area towards Nevske.

According to Luhansk Regional Military Administration, forests around Sievierodonetsk are on fire again, for the second time in a month. The situation is dangerous near Borovenky, Oleksandrivka and Purdivka. Representatives of the occupation authorities are not ready for such developments, so they prefer to remain inactive.

Artem Lysohor, Head of Luhansk Regional Military Administration, reported that after the presidential elections in Luhansk oblast, the invaders faced a small number of russian passports among the population. Because of this, they are now trying to force people to change their passports as much as possible, threatening deportation from the beginning of summer to all those who have not received a passport and cancelling payments to World War II veterans.

What is happening now in the north of Ukraine

Kyiv oblast

The RMA reported that 17,425 facilities have been fully or partially restored in Kyiv oblast. Most of them are residential buildings – more than 15,800 multi-story and private houses.  Positive decisions have been made under the government’s Restoration Program worth more than UAH 6.7b.

The State Emergency Service’s Mobile Rescue Center reported that pyrotechnics neutralised a warhead of a russian X-101 missile discovered in Bucha region. The missile was found by a Kryukivshchyna village resident who was walking his dog and reported the incident to the authorities.

Ruslan Kravchenko, Head of the RMA, announced that Kyiv oblast started sending generators to help Kharkiv oblast, affected by massive enemy shelling. The first 13 powerful generators are already on the way, with the next batch to be sent on Monday. In addition, there are aid centres in every community where power banks and charging stations are being collected.

Combatant Dmytro Shadlun has become the new coordinator of the Active Parks – Locations of Healthy Ukraine program in Kyiv oblast. He is organising sports events and various activities in Bila Tserkva community. The veteran is going to involve his fellow russian-Ukrainian war participants in sports activities.

Kyiv City Council members decided to rename Oleksandrivska Clinical Hospital to St. Michael’s Hospital. The renaming initiative was supported by historians, the hospital staff, and Kyiv residents who joined the public discussion. In 1874, the city clinical hospital was named Oleksandrivska in honour of the future russian Emperor Alexander III. The new name was proposed in honour of St. Michael the Archangel, who has been considered the patron saint and protector of Kyiv for the past millennium.

This week, a mobile safety classroom from the State Emergency Service and UNICEF held an interactive lesson for children in one of the educational institutions of Bilohorodka community. The children studied landmine and fire safety, and emergency algorithms, learned to provide first aid, and completed an obstacle course in the form of rescuers.

On the Day of the Gunsmith, the National Military History Museum of Ukraine opened the exhibition “Nation of Gunsmiths”. The exhibition features various samples of weapons produced in Ukraine: from Scythian swords and armour to examples of modern weapons that are currently used on the battlefield. The exhibition will be on display in Kyiv for a month.  

Zhytomyr oblast

The Department of Social Protection of Zhytomyr RMA reported that almost 59,000 IDPs live in the Zhytomyr oblast with over 16,000 being children, including more than 5,000 preschool aged. Zhytomyr oblast has also sheltered 2,898 IDPs with disabilities.

Recently, Andrushivka Lyceum No. 1 hosted a charity fair called Children for AFU. Students, parents, and teachers presented homemade Ukrainian delicacies they had prepared themselves. All proceeds will be used to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Sumy oblast

The Prosecutor’s Office of Sumy oblast reported that the russian military attacked a civilian truck in Krasnopillia community by a drone. The truck driver was killed.

Sumy Military Administration reports that at night and in the morning of 14 April, russians fired 6 times at Sumy border areas, totaling 33 attacks with mortars, artillery and MLRSs. Mykolaivka, Myropillia, Krasnopillia, and Svesa communities were attacked.

Overall, the enemy fired 21 times at Sumy oblast, resulting in 118 attacks from various types of weapons, including 16 attacks with NAR missiles and 2 air strikes with KAB. 10 communities were shelled: Myropillia, Khotyn, Bilopillia, Krasnopillia, Velyka Pysarivka, Putyvl, Shalyhine, Esman, Seredyna-Buda, and Svesa. 

Chernihiv oblast

The State Border Guard Service reported that russian troops attacked Chernihiv oblast borders 8 times with a total of 81 explosions. The enemy launched 5 mortar attacks on Semenivka community and fired 21 mortar and cannon artillery strikes at Snovsk community. Novhorod-Siverskyi community received 55 attacks, including 2 attacks by FPV drones, 47 attacks by cannon artillery, and 6 attacks by unguided aircraft missiles.

On 13 April, at about 10am, the russian military attacked a civilian car by FPV drones on the road between the villages of Novhorod-Siverskyi community. The State Border Guard Service reported that the man was fatally injured.

Viacheslav Chaus, Head of Chernihiv RMA announced that about 3,500 residents have moved to temporary housing from the border areas of Chernihiv oblast, which remain under enemy fire. As of today, the enemy has intensified Chernihiv oblast border shelling with FPV drones and guided missiles.

Viacheslav Chaus also informed that residents in Chernihiv oblast had already received more than UAH 530m for repairs and compensation with certificates for destroyed and damaged property under the eRestoration program. There are 13.500 destroyed and damaged objects in the region with more than 11.000 being residential.

Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine

Dnipropetrovsk oblast

Mykola Lukashuk, Head of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast Council, reported that due to the falling wreckage of a downed missile, a fire broke out in Dnipro and damaged private houses. The occupiers continue to terrorize civilians of Nikopol region, shelling the houses with artillery and targeting civilian cars with kamikaze drones. 4 people were injured by enemy strikes. The victims are men aged 55 to 64, 3 of them were hospitalized. The shelling affected the region’s center, Myrove and Pokrovsk communities. There were 2 fires, 4 private houses, 2 garages, 3 cars and a power line were damaged. 

Serhii Lysak, Head of the RMA, announced that there are 5 wounded as a result of a downed missile debris fall in Dnipro. They are 3 men, a woman and a 15-year-old boy. He sustained shrapnel wounds and concussion. According to preliminary data, 9 private houses and cars were damaged.

A memorial alley of fallen Ukrainian soldiers was opened in Lazar Hloba Park in Dnipro. The fallen defenders’ families planted 31 maple trees there. 

Vinnytsia oblast

In Vinnytsia oblast, the State Emergency Service received new special vehicles from international partners. Modern cars will help emergency responders transport large explosive items and reach the height of a 14-story building.

Poltava oblast

A rally in support of war prisoners was held in Poltava oblast. Families and friends of captured defenders, as well as all concerned residents of Poltava oblast reminded that many soldiers have been held in russian captivity for years. 

Cherkasy oblast

Red Cross volunteers held a training for civilians in Cherkasy. In particular, people were trained to provide first aid and psychological support.

Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine

Zaporizhzhia oblast

On 12 April,  in Zaporizhzhia oblast 7 settlements were shelled 319 times. Enemy aviation conducted 5 strikes on Mala Tokmachka, Levadne, and Robotyne. 38 UAVs targeted Huliaipole, Levadne, Robotyne, Mala Tokmachka, Malynivka, Novoandriivka, and Chervonodniprovka. There were 10 MLRS attacks on Huliaipole, Mala Tokmachka, Robotyne and 266 artillery attacks at Huliaipole, Mala Tokmachka, Novoandriivka, Robotyne, Levadne, and Malynivka. 6 reports about destruction of residential buildings and infrastructure objects were received. Two people were injured as a result of enemy attacks.

The South Operational Command reports that the russians carried out 6 assaults towards Orikhiv, 1 near Robotyne and 5 near Staromaiorske. They were unsuccessful.

According to intelligence data, russian terrorists are preparing for another provocation at Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant under a false flag. The General Staff noted that recently russia has tried several times to shift responsibility for the use of drones to attack Zaporizhzhia NPP onto Ukraine. Only the return of Zaporizhzhia NPP under Ukrainian control can restore real security to the plant.

Mykolaiv oblast

In the morning briefing on 14 April, Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration reports that yesterday, Air Defense forces destroyed a guided aviation missile X-59 in Mykolaiv oblast. 

On 13 April at 17:49, 18:12, and on 14 April at 01:48, 01:56, the enemy conducted artillery shelling on the territory of Kutsurub community. As a result, three private houses were damaged by the shock wave and debris in the village of Dmytrivka. There were no casualties reported.

Odesa oblast

The South Operational Command says that on 13 April, russians launched two X-59 guided aviation missiles towards Odesa. Both missiles were destroyed over the sea.

The State Border Guard Service informs that 22-year-old Anatolii Iozhytsia from Kherson oblast was posthumously awarded the Order of Courage for his selfless actions in defense of the state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine. The unit where Anatolii served in Kherson oblast engaged in combat first at 4:50am on 24 February, 2022, directly at the administrative border with the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea. The hero was killed on that day during heavy russian shelling. The award was presented to Anatolii Iozhytsia’s mother by representatives of the Southern Regional Directorate of the State Border Guard Service.

Kherson oblast

Around 9am, occupiers attacked Kozatske. A resident was injured as a result of the russian shelling and was taken to a medical facility in critical condition. Currently, the victim is undergoing surgery.

At night, russian forces once again attacked residential neighbourhoods in Kherson. Three private houses in Korabelnyi district caught fire, with several others damaged by the explosive blast wave. Additionally, the occupiers damaged a multi-story building. As of now, there is information about one injured person.

Yesterday,  Beryslav, Poniativka, Dniprovske, Yantarne, Berehove, Kozatske, Lvove, Kizomys, Bilozerka, Komyshany, Veletenske, Stanislav, Inzherne, Zymivnyk, Osokorivka, Havrylivka, Novovorontsovka, and the city of Kherson were shelled. A kindergarten, 17 private houses, two multi-story buildings, as well as buildings and the port area were damaged. Five people were injured.

The enemy conducted three assaults on Ukrainian positions on the left bank of the Dnipro River in Kherson oblast. After suffering losses, they retreated. Our soldiers continue to carry out comprehensive measures to maintain and strengthen positions. The South Operational Command reported that confirmed enemy losses towards Orikhiv and Kherson amounted to 126 occupiers and 51 pieces of equipment. Four ammunition storage sites and one observation post were hit.

On 13 April, 20 workers and 7 units of equipment were involved in restoring electricity in Kherson oblast. Power engineers performed emergency restoration work on the lines supplying Vysokopillia, Velyka Oleksandrivka, Novovorontsovka, and Kherson.

Latest news for today in the western regions of Ukraine

Volyn oblast

Lutsk City Council reported that 2 DJI MAVIC 3 PRO and a DJI MAVIC 3 Thermal quadcopters were sent to the Air Force A 4714, which performs combat missions to protect the independence and territorial integrity of Ukraine from the russian invasion.

Zakarpattia oblast

Zakarpatttia medics spent 6 days in the Czech Republic. They visited the medical and rescue services of Czech regions, got acquainted with the work of dispatchers of training centres, visited an emergency hospital, and took part in training on a simulator of providing medical aid in the air in a helicopter. Zakarpattia medics also conducted joint training with their Czech colleagues on the provision of medical assistance involving specialists from various fields (firefighters, rescuers, policemen, etc.).

New housing for 27 IDPs was created in the village of Izky, Khust region thanks to the RMA, the community, and Czech and Slovak partners.

Ivano-Frankivsk oblast

On the facade of Lyceum №10, annotation boards for Heroes Andrii Chepil and Oleh Parkulab were opened. Both defenders are buried in the Alley of Heroes of the village cemetery. Chukalyvka RMA presented the award For Honour and Valour  to Oleh Parkulab’s family earlier (posthumously), and now this award was given to Andrii Chepil’s brother.

Lviv oblast

A seminar based on the results of the Partnership for Sustainable Development of Ukraine program was held in Lviv. Representatives of the Nadace Partnerstvi Fund (Czech Republic) and representatives of various cities of Ukraine took part in the seminar.

A memorial plaque was installed on the facade of the lyceum in the Old Village, Davydivska community, in memory of Taras Kolodiy, killed employee of this educational institution, military serviceman. Taras was a grenade launcher soldier of the anti-tank platoon of the fire support company of the 24th Separate Mechanised Brigade named after King Danylo. He was killed on 15 November 2023 near the settlement of Shumy, Donetsk oblast.

In Sambir region, three more Safety Classrooms were opened for students. There are information racks and separate corners with educational models. In addition, equipment for providing first aid was purchased. From now on, students of local institutions will be taught the rules of fire, mine safety, civil defence and also the algorithm of actions in case of emergency situations.

Rivne oblast

In Rivne oblast, Give Light to Kharkiv, a campaign to collect aid for Kharkiv was launched. Aalternative sources of light, namely, generators, eco-flow, charged power banks, etc. are collected. Communities of Rivne oblast have actively joined the process, and are already ready to send over 200 generators of various capacities.

In Rivne, on the walls of the Rivneektroavtotrans enterprise, a memorial plaque dedicated to the memory of Anatolii Soltys was installed. The 53-year-old senior sergeant was killed on 14 October 2023 as a result of enemy fire while performing a combat mission in Kharkiv oblast.

Ternopil oblast

Ternopil oblast sent 3 pickup trucks and a means of radio-electronic warfare, created by local developers, to the 105th Separate Territorial Defense Brigade thanks to the Civic Council. Cars are equipped with an additional set of tire fitting equipment. 

Khmelnytskyi oblast

Preparations for the construction of power units Khaes-5 and Khaes-6 using the Westinghouse AR1000 technology began at Khmelnytskyi NPP. Thus, on the construction site of the station, preparatory work has begun for the construction of cooling towers of future power units, which will be built within the framework of Ukrainian-American cooperation, which is strategically important for strengthening Ukraine’s energy independence.

Chernivtsi oblast

Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President of Ukraine, announced that the Made in Ukraine economic platform was presented in Chernivtsi. This project was created to develop the potential of Ukrainian manufacturers. Now the priority is the defence-industrial complex and business that provides jobs.

During his visit to Chernivtsi, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President of Ukraine, visited military personnel undergoing rehabilitation. The head of state thanked the defenders for their dedicated service to the Ukrainian people and awarded them with honorary awards.Medics who work daily to restore the health of soldiers were also awarded.

International support of Ukraine in the russian-Ukrainian war (russia’s invasion of Ukraine)

Germany will send another Patriot system to Ukraine. The Ministry of Defense of the country stated that the air defence system will be sent “immediately”.

Valdis Dombrovskis, European Commissioner and Vice President of the European Commission, announced that in May, Ukraine may receive another €2bn from the EU. These are two tranches of financial assistance from the EU within the framework of the Ukraine Facility program. It is about the previously announced €1.5bn tranche in April and another one in May.

Finland from 15 April will suspend the work of sea checkpoints on the border with the russian federation. It is noted that the movement of the Saimen Canal through Nuyimaa will be stopped for pleasure vessels. The Haapasaari and Santio sea crossing points are also closed indefinitely. In early April, Finland continued to close its land border with russia indefinitely until further orders. The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Finland explained the decision by the fact that russia continues to send illegal migrants to the border.

Tobias Billstrom, Head of the Swedish Foreign Ministry, stated that 8 countries of Northern Europe and the Baltic States will assemble a group of experts to help Ukraine at the negotiation stage of the EU accession process.

Gabrielus Landsbergis, Lithuanian Foreign Minister, joined the debate on whether Ukraine should attack russian oil refineries. He said that during World War II, the Allies bombed nazi Germany’s oil storage facilities as a primary military target, implying that he supports attacks on russian refineries.
