It has been the 607th day of the Ukrainian resistance to the russian military aggression. 

What happened in Ukraine today:

Here is operational information of the General Staff as of 6 pm:   

On October 23, there were 38 combat clashes. The russian army launched one missile and 52 air strikes, 15 MLRS attacks at the positions of Ukrainian troops and various settlements. Unfortunately, the russian terrorist attacks have killed and wounded UKrainian civilians. Residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure were destroyed or damaged.

The operational situation in east and south of Ukraine remains challenging.

Towards Volyn and Polissia, no significant changes. There were no signs of formation of an offensive group. Certain units of the armed forces of belarus continue their missions in the areas bordering Ukraine.

Towards Siversk and Sloboda, the russian military maintains its military presence in the areas of russia bordering Ukraine. The enemy continues its sabotage and reconnaissance activities, shelling Ukrainian settlements from the territory of russia and increases the density of minefields along the state border of Ukraine. About 10 settlements came under enemy artillery and mortar fire, including Karpovychi, Leonivka (Chernihiv oblast), Obody, Znob-Novhorodske, Stara Huta (Sumy oblast), Pletenivka, and Budarky (Kharkiv oblast).

Towards Kupiansk, Ukrainian soldiers repelled 3 enemy attacks in the vicinities of Ivanivka (Kharkiv oblast). The enemy launched airstrikes near Synkivka and Petropavlivka (Kharkiv oblast). The invaders fired artillery and mortars at around 10 settlements, including Dvorichna, Petropavlivka, Synkivka, Ivanivka, and Kyslivka (Kharkiv oblast).

Towards Lyman, the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled all of the enemy attacks near Nadiia (Luhansk oblast). The enemy launched an airstrike in the vicinity of Serebryanka forestry. At the same time, the invaders fired artillery and mortars at around 10 settlements, including Nevske, Bilohorivka (Luhansk oblast), Spirne, and Rozdolivka (Donetsk oblast).

Towards Bakhmut, the Ukrainian defenders repelled around 10 enemy attacks in the vicinities of Bohdanivka, Khromove, Klishchiivka, and Andriivka (Donetsk oblast). The enemy launched airstrikes near Klishchiivka and Niu York. Around 15 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire, including Ivanivske, Klishchiivka, Andriivka, Kurdiumivka, and Chasiv Yar (Donetsk oblast).

Towards Avdiivka, the enemy conducted unsuccessful assault operations with air support in the vicinities of Keramik, Stepove, Avdiivka, and Tonenke (Donetsk oblast). The Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled around 10 enemy attacks in that area. Also, there was an airstrike near Orlivka. The invaders fired artillery and mortars at around 20 settlements, including Keramik, Stepove, Avdiivka, Opytne, Sjeverne, and Pervomaiske (Donetsk oblast).

Towards Marinka, the enemy conducted unsuccessful assault operations with air support in the vicinities of Marinka and Pobieda (Donetsk oblast). The Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled more than 10 enemy attacks in that area. Around 10 settlements, including Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, Marinka, and Pobieda (Donetsk oblast), were under artillery and mortar fire.

Towards Shakhtarske, the invaders launched an airstrike in the vicinity of Staromaiorske (Donetsk oblast). Ukrainian troops repelled all enemy attacks near Novomykhailivka (Donetsk oblast). Around 10 settlements, including Vodiane, Vuhledar, Prechystivka, Zolota Nyva, and Urozhaine (Donetsk oblast), came under artillery and mortar fire.

Towards Zaporizhzhia, the Ukrainian defenders repelled an enemy attack southeast of Mala Tokmachka (Zaporizhzhia oblast). The enemy launched airstrikes in the vicinities of Novodarivka, Orikhove, Mala Tokmachka, and P’yatykhatky (Zaporizhzhia oblast). More than 25 settlements, including Poltavka, Huliaipilske, Robotyne, Mala Tokmachka, and Novodanylivka (Zaporizhzhia oblast), came under enemy artillery and mortar fire.

Towards Kherson, the occupiers launched airstrikes in the vicinities of Ol’hivka, Lvove, Tiahynka, Mykilske, and Prydniprovske (Kherson oblast). The enemy fired artillery and mortars at Darivka, Zelenivka, Antonivka, Kizomys (Kherson oblast), and Solonchaky (Mykolaiv oblast).

At the same time, the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue their offensive operation towards Melitopol and offensive (assault) operations towards Bakhmut, inflicting losses in manpower and equipment on the occupation forces, exhausting the enemy all along the front line.

On October 23, Ukrainian Air Force launched 7 airstrikes on buildups of enemy troops, weapons and military equipment, and 3 airstrikes on anti-aircraft missile systems.

Ukrainian rocket troops destroyed 8 enemy artillery systems, 1 electronic warfare station, 1 pontoon bridge crossing, and hit 4 buildups of personnel, weapons, and military equipment.


In Ukraine, 840 companies have moved to safer regions because of the war. Most businesses choose Zakarpattia and Lviv oblasts as their new workplace – 120 and 199 companies respectively. Chernivtsi oblast (78 relocations) and Ivano-Frankivsk oblast (70) are also among the top safe regions in demand among entrepreneurs. The least popular were Odesa oblast – only 3 businesses, Zhytomyr oblast – 6 companies, and Kirovohrad oblast – 17.

Lieutenant General Serhiy Naiev, Commander of the Joint Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, says that in northern Ukraine, new mobile air defense firing groups are being trained. Day and night, 24/7, the crews are deployed to destroy enemy air targets. Anti-aircraft machine guns are an adequate response to the enemy’s strategy. 

The press service of the Ministry of Defense informs that  women’s underwear has been officially supplied to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The sets were tested in two stages during 2023 and checked for their functionality, reliability, quality, comfort, and compliance with their own wishes. The underwear comes in three different colours – coyote, and olive green, and black. 

Recent war events in the east of Ukraine

Kharkiv oblast

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, russian troops attacked from the air near Synkivka and Petropavlivka. Ukrainian defenders repelled three attacks near Ivanivka of Kupiansk region.

Oleh Syniehubov, Head of Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, reported that yesterday settlements of Chuhuiv and Kupiansk regions were under enemy attack.

The enemy attacked Kurylivka and Kivsharivka of Kupiansk region with guided bombs. In Kurylivka, a private building, 2 apartment buildings, a civilian enterprise building and an infrastructure facility were damaged. A 39-year-old woman was injured and hospitalised in moderate condition.

In Kivsharivka, the buildings of a vocational school and a kindergarten were damaged, there were no casualties.

As a result of shelling in Dvorichna village of Kupiansk region, a 81-year-old man was injured. He was hospitalised in a moderate condition.

The enemy also targeted Pletenivka and Zybine of Chuhuiv region, Petropavlivka, Kyslivka, Dvorichna of Kupiansk region and other settlements.

Power lines were damaged as a result of russian guided missile strikes on Kurylivka village of Kupiansk region. 140 households with 230 residents were left without electricity. Work is currently ongoing to restore power supply.

Medical facilities in the region continue to provide assistance to the victims of the russian missile attack on the Nova Poshta terminal. A total of 16 people are in hospitals. 7 of the injured are in critical condition, 5 of them are in resuscitation. The condition of 2 injured remains extremely critical. 9 people have mild to moderate injuries.

Heat is being supplied to Kharkiv oblast residents. Currently, 74 boiler houses have been launched in the region’s communities. First of all, heat is supplied to socially important facilities. As of today, 83 social facilities, including 28 hospitals, and 469 apartment buildings are already heated.

8 communities are joining the Veteran’s Assistant pilot project, which involves the establishment of Veterans’ Service Offices in communities. Veterans’ assistants will work there to help demobilised soldiers and their families adapt to civilian life in coordination with all state and non-governmental institutions.

Each family of the killed Nova Poshta employees near Kharkiv will receive UAH 60K compensation from the company. The terminal manager, Maksym Kolesnyk, said that the child left behind by one of the victims will receive UAH 10K a month until he comes of age and a grant of $12,500 to study at any university in the world. Kolesnyk added that the company is also paying for the treatment of the injured workers.

The parcels from the Nova Poshta terminal, which was hit by a russian missile, will be repacked and delivered to their owners. The cost of the destroyed packages will be compensated. According to Maksym Kolesnyk, 2,700 parcels survived. More than half of them were damaged.

Donetsk oblast

Vitalii Barabash, Head of Avdiivka City Military Administration, reported that russian troops launched a massive attack on the old part of Avdiivka in the morning. Also russians keep trying to encircle the city and are constantly storming Ukrainian positions.

The Prosecutor’s Office informed that the enemy attacked, probably with artillery, at Minkivka towards Bakhmut. Two people were injured.

According to Donetsk Regional Military Administration, towards Volnovakha, Vuhledar suffered 7 artillery, 2 mortar, 1 Grad MRLs attacks and an air strike. In Bohoiavlennka, outbuildings were damaged.

Towards Donetsk, Avdiivka was under massive artillery fire, 1 person was killed. Veselyi Hai, Hanivka and Trudove of Kurakhove community were shelled and an infrastructure facility damaged.

Towards Horlivka, 2 buildings were damaged in Toretsk. In Chasiv Yar community, 5 private buildings, an apartment building and an industrial building were damaged.

Towards Lysychansk, a building was damaged in Serebrianka of Siversk community. Pereizne of Zvanivka community and Torske and Zarichne of Lyman community were targeted.

The Ministry of Reintegration reported that evacuation of children was announced in eight other settlements in Donetsk oblast and they will be accompanied by their parents or representatives. According to the RMA, 249 children remain in these eight settlements, 235 in Bakhmut region and 14 in Pokrovsk region.

In Mariupol, russian invaders are demolishing the building of the first Marinka Women’s Gymnasium, which hosted Collegiate School No. 1, built in 1894. The City Council stated that after the II World War, the school was opened and destroyed by russian army in 2022.

A russian bulk carrier entered the port of occupied Mariupol for the first time. Yesterday it docked at the pier of the Shipyard.

Donetsk police informed that 17 residents of Avdiivka were evacuated by the White Angels crew during the week of the russian assault. The police are also providing the residents of Zolota Nyva of Volnovakha region with the most necessary supplies. Together with the Woman Power Charity Foundation, they delivered another batch of aid: medicines, vitamins, food packages and personal hygiene products. There are still 14 people living without electricity and water in Zolota Nyva under shelling.

Luhansk oblast

According to Luhansk Regional Military Administration, Nadiia and Nevske were hit from the sky. Specifically, two russian KAB-500 bombs exploded in Nevske last night. Near Nadiia and Serebrianka forestry, russians attacked about ten times in a day and all their attempts were repelled.  The enemy shelled Nevske and Bilohorivka with mortars and artillery.

Full-time university students are being mobilised in the so-called “luhansk people’s republic”, specifically those who were returned from the front to study on the eve of the “first elections” on the instructions of the kremlin. In Donbas State Technical University in Alchevsk, students are being forced to take academic leave.

Starting in November, food will be distributed in Sievierodonetsk only on the basis of russian-issued documents. If you don’t have one, you will not get any humanitarian aid.

Another 81 people remain in the liberated settlements of Luhansk oblast, all of whom are provided with stoves and portable charging stations. Over the past two weeks, russians have been heavily shelling these villages.

What is happening now in the north of Ukraine

Kyiv oblast

Last night, an UAV was spotted in the airspace of Kyiv oblast. The air alert period lasted more than two hours. There were no hits to objects of critical or residential infrastructure in the oblast. No casualties are reported. 

The Department of Residents’ Social Protection in Kyiv oblast held a  competition of socially-oriented programs, projects and events developed by public organizations of veterans and the disabled. Organizations will receive financial support from the regional budget for the implementation of winning projects in 2023. The event was held for the first time in wartime conditions on the online platform VzaiemoDiia.

The Department of Education and Science of Kyiv oblast reported that a protective structure – an anti-radiation shelter – is being built in Fursiv Lyceum in Bila Tserkva region. The works are being carried out at the expense of the Fund for the Liquidation of Armed Aggression Consequences. The construction of the shelter will provide appropriate conditions for a safe educational process for all lyceum students.

Kyiv RMA reported that explosive ordnance disposal was carried out in Bucha region.

The Department of Youth and Sports of the Kyiv Regional State Administration says that the training of specialists at the Dzhura VI School of Educators has been completed in Kyiv Oblast. This year, 90 tutors took a training course and received certificates. In total, there are more than 250 such specialists in the region. It should be noted that Sokil (Dzhura) is an all-Ukrainian military-patriotic game for children and youth. Its goal is to provide military, sports and national-patriotic education for Ukrainian youth based on the traditions of the Ukrainian Cossacks, as well as to promote a healthy lifestyle.

Zhytomyr oblast

An extraordinary meeting of the executive committee of the Zhytomyr City Council took place. Among other things, it was about ensuring the implementation of general mobilization events on the territory of the community under the conditions of the legal regime of martial law. In addition, they approved the list of military personnel, representatives of law enforcement agencies and other formations of the Zhytomyr urban territorial community for the payment of monetary compensation for the appropriate living quarters and their sizes.

Bas-reliefs of the Icon of Memory were handed over to the families of the Heroes of Luhyny community and Zhytomyr who were killed in the area of anti-terrorist operation. The presentation took place as part of the All-Ukrainian project “Icon of Memory of those who Died for the Independence of Ukraine”, with the assistance of the Veteran’s House on the basis of the Zhytomyr Regional Medical Center of Vertebrology and Rehabilitation.

The All-Ukrainian training on national-patriotic education was held in Zhytomyr. It is aimed at enhancing the competences of specialists who work in the field of national-patriotic education or are involved in the implementation of state policy in the specified field.

Sumy oblast

 Sumy RMA reported that at night and in the morning, the russian army struck three communities of the oblast, resulting in 23 explosions. Krasnopillia, Znob-Novhorodske and Seredino-Buda communities came under shelling.

It is created by the International Organization for Migration in Ukraine together with the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine and the All-Ukrainian Coalition of Public Organizations to Combat Human Trafficking. What do these seemingly attractive offers of jobs and housing entail, and what lies behind the illusion of a better life created by fraudsters? These are the issues raised by the exhibition.

Chernihiv oblast

The ‘North’ Operational Command reported that the russian military shelled the border territories of Chernihiv oblast. Settlements of Semenivka community came under shelling. 

On October 22, a meeting of representatives of the European Parliament (on issues of international legal cooperation in the field of war crimes investigations) with witnesses and victims of russian crimes in Chernihiv oblast was held in Chernihiv. The main purpose of the delegation’s visit was to witness the consequences of a full-scale war on the territory of Chernihiv and the oblast and hear descriptions of atrocities committed by the russian military during the hostilities. Representatives of the European Parliament also inspected the sites of war crimes. In particular, the house on Chornovola Street, the Drama Theater and the school basement in the village of Yahidne.

Viacheslav Chaus, Head of Chernihiv RMA reports that representatives of the Danish company ROCKWOOL handed over 79 solid fuel boilers for Ivanivka community, as well as 21 solid fuel and 3 gas boilers for Kiinka community. This equipment is for local residents whose houses were damaged by last year hostilities. 

Six warning systems were installed in Mena community, namely in Mena, Kyselivka, Makoshyne, Birkivka, Dyagova and Synyavka. The system is integrated with an air alarm application. It is designed so that both a siren signal and a voice message can sound. Alarm systems were purchased with funds from the local budget.

Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine

Dnipropetrovsk oblast

According to Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, the Air Force shot down a missile in the morning. Soldiers from the East PMC destroyed the missile over Synelnykove region.

The invaders attacked Synelnykove region with a missile in the afternoon. A residential building and power lines were damaged. About 150 houses were left without electricity. The enemy attacked Nikopol region three times. They shelled Nikopol and Marhanets community with artillery. They launched about fifteen shells. A cafe caught fire and was extinguished. 10 buildings, an outbuilding, a car and a power line were damaged. There were no casualties.

Vinnytsia oblast

The South Operational Command reported that at night, air defence forces destroyed an enemy drone over Vinnytsia oblast.

Mayor Serhii Morhunov informed that children, whose parents were killed or went missing during the russian-Ukrainian war, returned to Vinnytsia from Karlsruhe (Germany) and Berenthal (France). The trip lasted ten days.

Vinnytsia Lyceum No. 22 sent a car to the frontline, purchased with funds from autumn fairs. The lyceum held two Our Strength is in Unity charity fairs, which raised more than UAH 200K. The car was sent to the Red Viburnum unit.

Kirovohrad oblast

As part of the Side by Side initiative, volunteer construction workers from Kirovohrad oblast supported the residents of Mala Oleksandrivka of Kherson oblast which was under russian occupation for seven months. Residents of Kirovohrad are rebuilding their homes, the cultural centre and other infrastructure facilities. The roofs repaired, new windows and doors installed. The village, now home to just over a thousand residents, is gradually being restored and settled.

In Dmytrivka village, Kropyvnytskyi region, an Alley of Remembrance was established to honour the community members who were killed in the russian-Ukrainian war. The Alley features stands with photographs of 18 fellow countrymen, who were killed in the war since 2014, and information about them. Banners and frames for the stands were purchased with budget funds and philanthropists helped with the landscaping. Bushes and flowers were planted near the stands. The main costs were covered by local benefactor farmers and the arrangement was completed by employees of utility companies. Teachers are planning to hold history lessons near the Alley of Memory.

Poltava oblast

In Myrhorod, after russian shelling on 16 October, about 160 applications for assistance were received. The money to pay financial assistance has already been ordered from the Treasury and by the end of this week, the first 28 people will be paid compensation from the city budget. Each person will receive a different amount of compensation depending on the type of damage. As of now, the maximum compensation from the city budget is UAH 40K. People will also receive financial assistance from the regional budget of Poltava oblast. After the report is completed, money will be paid for materials (specifically the cost of materials). The inspection reports have all been accepted. The commission will determine for each one what money to allocate depending on the damage.

Cherkasy oblast

Thirty educational institutions in Cherkasy will be insulated for the winter. These are schools, kindergartens and libraries. Since the beginning of the full-scale war, educational institutions have been performing not only an educational function but also as Invincibility Centres, as they have hosted IDPs and are possible reception points for IDPs in case of mandatory evacuation. Therefore, they are being renovated to prepare for possible blackouts. New windows and doors were installed. A total of UAH 120 million was allocated from the city budget this year for the thermal modernisation of educational institutions.

Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine

Zaporizhzhia oblast

On October 22, the enemy carried out 177 strikes on 24 settlements in Zaporizhzhia oblast. Out of these, 153 artillery strikes targeted areas in Huliaipole, Novoandriivka, Chervone, Charivne, Preobrazhenka, Huliaipilske, Shcherbaky, Novodarivka, Stepove, Lobkove, Stepnohirske, and other front-line cities and villages. The russian military conducted 14 drone attacks on Huliaipole, Novodarivka, Robotyne, Bilohiria, Piatykhatky, Mali Shcherby, and Kamianske. There was an aviation strike on Orikhiv, and rocket artillery shelling on Orikhiv, Mala Tokmachka, Novodanylivka, Robotyne, Poltavka, Novodarivka, Kamianske, and Piatykhatky. The attacks caused damage to a building, but no civilians were harmed.

Zaporizhzhia oblast continues to host internally displaced persons (IDPs). Currently, the region has registered 230K IDPs. The evacuation of citizens from front-line areas is ongoing, and there are currently around a thousand available places to accommodate IDPs.

Mykolaiv oblast

Vitalii Kim, Head of Mykolaiv RMA, reports that on October 22, russian forces conducted attacks at Kutsurub community in Mykolaiv oblast. There were no casualties or fatalities reported. 

The press service of Mykolaiv City Council reports that another group of children went to a recreational camp Western Ukraine. Fifty children will have the opportunity to relax and spend time in the picturesque corners of Zakarpattia oblast. The children’s recreation is funded from the city budget. According to the law, priority is given to privileged categories, including orphans, children of military personnel, and veterans. 

Odesa oblast

The South Operational Command reports that on the night of October 23, anti-aircraft defense forces in Odesa oblast successfully shot down 9 kamikaze drones that the russian army had launched against port infrastructure. The fragments of the downed drone damaged the roof of a storage building in Odesa oblast. The resulting fire was extinguished, and there were no reported injuries. 

The South Operational Command reports that on October 23, the russian army deployed two missile-carrying frigates in the Black Sea. In total, there are six russian ships on duty in the Black Sea and one in the Azov Sea. These missile-carrying frigates can be equipped with 16 Kalibr missiles, so the level of missile threat is extremely high. Additionally, there has been activity observed in the Black Sea involving tactical aviation dropping unidentified objects towards humanitarian navigation corridors for civilian shipping. 

Kherson oblast

At approximately 10:35, the russian army shelled the settlement of the Dariivka community in Kherson oblast with artillery fire. One of the shells hit a private house, and injured a 49-year-old man, who was hospitalized.

The occupiers shelled Beryslav region. They fired 4 air bombs at one of the villages in the community, causing a 55-year-old man to be injured with a mine-explosion injury. The enemy dropped an explosive device from a drone in Beryslav, injuring two people and damaging a vehicle.

On October 22, the enemy conducted 73 bombardments, firing a total of 469 shells from mortars, artillery, Grad MLRS, RPGs, tanks, aircraft, and drones. The enemy fired 46 shells at the city of Kherson. russian military forces targeted residential areas of towns in the region, critical infrastructure, engineering structures, municipal enterprises, educational institutions, and a church in Kherson oblast. They also targeted the territory of a transport enterprise and a plant in Kherson.

On October 23, rescuers recovered the bodies of a man and a woman from a building in Ivanivka, Daryivka community, that had been shelled by the russian army. On October 22, around 21:50, russian military aircraft shelled the village, destroying a private house where the deceased man and woman were located. Search and rescue operations were complicated by repeated enemy attacks on the settlement.

Natalia Humeniuk, Head of the Unified Coordination Press Center for the Defense and Security of the South, says that on October 22, the Defense Forces destroyed a field supply point and a control point for russian army drones in Kherson oblast. Additionally, the Defense Forces destroyed seven cannons, seven armoured vehicles, and three FPV-type drones on the left bank of the region. They also eliminated 15 russian military personnel.

A water tower was installed in Vysokopillia, Beryslav region, with the support of the international organization Water Mission. Thanks to this hydraulic structure, centralized water supply restoration will continue in the town, and there will be a significant water reserve.

Residents of communities that continue to stay near the active combat zone received humanitarian aid. Infants, the disabled, and pensioners received over 230 hygiene kits, including soap, toothpaste, laundry detergent, shampoo, diapers, and more. Additionally, 32 children from Kherson oblast received modern tablets to support their educational processes.

Juvenile prevention workers organized tourist and sports games for local children in one of the liberated villages in Bilozirka community. The improved security situation allowed for activities for children who had experienced nearly 8 months of occupation. The organizers engaged boys and girls in various sports activities at multiple locations, including overcoming obstacle courses, relay races, and setting up tents. They also learned about group, personal, and special equipment needed for hiking and expeditions.

Latest news for today in the western regions of Ukraine

Volyn oblast

From October 16 to 22, 75 IDPs arrived in the oblast in search of shelter. In total, Volyn has received 78 738 refugees since the beginning of the full-scale russian invasion of Ukraine.

The RMA reported that on October 23, the heating season started in the oblast.

A recovery and rehabilitation center will be built in Volin. Project and estimate documents will be prepared shortly, after which construction work will begin. The area of ​​the center will be 2K square meters.

Zakarpattia oblast

Since the beginning of martial law, 206K tonnes of humanitarian cargo have already been delivered to Ukraine through checkpoints in the zone of activity of Zakarpattia Customs, including 9,2K vehicles. Most humanitarian aid was provided by partners from Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Italy and Germany.

Ivano-Frankivsk oblast

A memorial complex to the soldiers killed fighting for Ukraine was opened in Dubovets community. In the village of Tustan, a memorial cross and memorial plaques were dedicated to four fallen defenders: Volodymyr Babiy, senior gunner of the grenade launcher unit of the military unit A4667, Andrii Kudla, soldier of the 10th separate mountain assault brigade Edelveis, Yurii Levandivskyi, sergeant of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and Andrii Dobrovolskyi, commander of the 10th separate mountain assault brigade Edelveis. Awards were also presented to the families of fallen Heroes from Dubovetska, Bolshivtsivska, Burshtynska, Rohatynska and Bukachivska communities.

Lviv oblast

This year, Lviv RMA purchased drones and anti-drone equipment for eight military units from Lviv oblast for UAH 40 mln. For them, the military purchased/contracted 184 drones of the Mavic 3 type in its various modifications – Matrice 30T, anti-drone system of the PIRANHA-3HAD, PIRANHA-5HAD-R type, DH-1 DOMAHA unmanned aerial systems, SHARK unmanned aerial vehicle. Over 300 drones were sent to the Armed Forces thanks to volunteers, businesses, artists, athletes and simply caring people during this year.

students of 20 preschools in Drohobych community bought medicines for the Armed Forces of Ukraine for about UAH 50K collected at the Workshop of Good Deeds charity fair. Another almost UAH 60K was collected at the charity fair in Zhydachiv school #1 named after the Hero of Ukraine Taras Matviiev. Funds were donated to volunteers for defenders.

Rivne oblast

The RMA held a meeting with Serhii Nemerzhytskyi, Head of Rivneoblenerho. Alternative connection scenarios were discussed as well as the number of repair crews and the list of special equipment that may have to be used in emergency situations.

The RMA held a meeting with heads of regional administrations and representatives of relevant departments. They discussed creating a single hub for veterans and IDPs.

Communities of Duben region continue to initiate charity events in support of the Armed Forces. Charitable events were held at Smordvii Lyceum of Bokyim community, Radyvyliv Lyceum #2 named after Stryzhak and Druzhbiv Lyceum. And at Smizky Lyceum of Smizky community started the Socks for Victory 2.0 charity marathon.

Ternopil oblast

Ternopil continues to prepare temporary housing of people in the event of a long-term absence of light, water and heat. They will be located in different neighbourhoods of the city on the basis of educational institutions.

Khmelnytskyi oblast

There was another enemy attack on Khmelnytskyi. Air defense forces were on alert. As of this time, there are no reports of casualties or damage to property.

Chernivtsi oblast

10 Bukovyna educational institutions and the social sphere received 40 tablets thanks to the Strengthened Partnership for Sustainable Recovery project with the support of the Swedish government, which is implemented by the United Nations Development Program. Tablets will be used to teach children with special educational needs and disabilities.

Chernivtsi City Children’s Clinical Hospital decided to send an ambulance to the military defending the Ukrainian border. 

International support of Ukraine in the russian-Ukrainian war (russia’s invasion of Ukraine)

Denys Shmyhal, Prime Minister, announced that Ukraine received the 9th tranche of macro-financial aid in the amount of EUR1,5 billion from the European Union.

Ukrainian anti-mine ships took part in the Joint Warrior exercises in Britain. They are trained under the supervision of mentors from the Royal Navy of Great Britain.

Ukrainian engineers were trained in Great Britain to protect energy facilities from russian attacks. The two-week training program was developed and conducted at the request of Ukraine to further improve the protection of its energy sector.

Sappers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine master a variety of skills and methods, including working with unmanned aerial vehicles,.during engineering training in Poland.  Since the start of the UNIFIER, the CAF Operation has trained over 38K Ukrainian servicemen and law enforcement officers in combat tactics and advanced military skills.

Yurii Ihnat, Spokesman of the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, reported that Ukrainian pilots will soon be trained on real F-16 fighters. He also said that flights will be accompanied by instructors, and result in independent piloting.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President of Ukraine, had a phone conversation with Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of Qatar. They discussed humanitarian aid to Ukraine and the mediating role of Qatar in the return of illegally deported and forcibly displaced Ukrainian children to the homeland .

Ruslan Stefanchuk, Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, announced that representatives of about 70 countries will take part in the Crimean Platform summit.

The 10th Forum of the Baltic-Adriatic Transport Corridor was held in Hungary. They discussed expansion of transport corridors, transportation of Ukrainian grain and new opportunities for oblasts of Ukraine.
