It has been the 605th day of the Ukrainian resistance to the russian military aggression. 

What happened in Ukraine today:

Here is operational information of the General Staff as of 6 pm:   

The enemy continues to violate the laws and customs of war, uses terror tactics, and attacks both military and civilian targets.

There were 68 combat engagements. The enemy launched a total of 4 missiles and 33 air strikes, more than 24 MLRS attacks at the positions of Ukrainian troops and various settlements. The russian terrorist attacks have killed and wounded civilians. Private houses, apartment buildings and other civilian infrastructure were destroyed or damaged.

Towards Volyn and Polissia, there were no significant changes and signs of forming offensive groups. Certain units of the armed forces of belarus continue their missions in the areas bordering Ukraine.

Towards Siversk and Sloboda, the enemy maintains its military presence in the areas of russia bordering Ukraine. They continue to shell Ukrainian settlements from the territory of russia and increase the density of minefields along the state border of Ukraine. About 10 settlements came under enemy artillery and mortar fire, including Starykove, Bilopillya, Sumy oblast, Hatysche, Budarky, Kharkiv oblast.

Towards Kupiansk, Ukrainian defenders repelled over 10 enemy attacks in the vicinities of Synkivka Ivanivka, Kharkiv oblast, and Nadiya, Luhansk oblast. The invaders fired artillery and mortars at around 10 settlements, including Dvorichna, Synkivka, Ivanivka, Kyslivka, Pischane, Kharkiv oblast.

Towards Lyman, the Ukrainian defense forces repelled around 10 enemy attacks in the vicinity of Bilohorivka, Luhansk oblast, Serebrianske forestry and Spirne, Donetsk oblast. The invaders fired artillery and mortars at around 15 settlements, including Nevske, Makiivka, Bilohorivka, Luhansk oblast, Torske, Verkhniokamianske, Spirne, Rozdolivka, Donetsk oblast.

Towards Bakhmut, the Ukrainian defenders repelled all adversary attacks in the vicinity of Vasyukivka and Andriivka, Donetsk oblast. They launched air strike in the vicinity of Klischiivka and New York, Donetsk oblast. Over 10 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire, including Ivanivske, Klishchiivka, Andriivka, Chasiv Yar, Donetsk oblast.

Towards Avdiivka, the enemy conducted unsuccessful assault operations with air support in the vicinities of Avdiivka, Keramik, Stepove, Tonenke, Pervomaiske, Donetsk oblast. The Ukrainian defenders repelled around 15 enemy attacks in the area. They launched air strikes near Novobakhmutivka and Novokalynove, Donetsk oblast. The invaders fired artillery and mortars at more than 15 settlements, including Novokalynove, Stepove, Avdiivka, Sieverne, Pervomaiske, Donetsk oblast.

Towards Mariinka, the enemy conducted unsuccessful assault operations in the vicinity of Mariinka, Krasnohorivka and Pobieda, Donetsk oblast. The Ukrainian armed forces repelled over 20 enemy attacks in the area. The occupiers launched an airstrike near Novomykhailivka, Donetsk oblast. Around 10 settlements, including Krasnohorivka, Mariinka, Pobieda, Novomykhailivka, Donetsk oblast, were under the occupiers’ artillery and mortar fire.

Towards Shakhtarsk, the Ukrainian defenders repelled all enemy attacks near Prechystivka, Zolota Nyva, Staromaiorsk, Donetsk oblast. The invaders launched an airstrike near Staromaiorsk, Donetsk oblast. Around 10 settlements, including Vuhledar, Prechystivka, Zolota Nyva, Urozhaine, Donetsk oblast, came under artillery and mortar fire.

Towards Zaporizhzhia, the Ukrainian defenders repelled an enemy attack north of Pryiutne, Zaporizhzhia oblast. The occupiers launched air strikes near Mala Tokmachka and Novodanylivka, Zaporizhzhia oblast. Around 20 settlements, including Poltavka, Malynivka, Chervone, Mala Tokmachka, Novodanylivka, Zaporizhzhia oblast, came under enemy artillery and mortar fire.

Towards Kherson, the occupiers launched air strikes in the vicinities of Burhunka, Mykolaivka, Tiahynka, Ivanivka, Kherson oblast. The settlements of Sadove, Stanislav, Kherson oblast and the city of Kherson came under enemy artillery and mortar fire.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces continue offensive operations towards Melitopol, offensive (assault) operations towards Bakhmut, inflicting losses in manpower and equipment on the occupation forces, and exhausting the enemy along the entire front line.

The Ukrainian Air Forces launched 12 air strikes on the buildup of troops, weapons and military equipment of the russian invaders.

The missile troops hit 1 radar station, 1 ammunition depot, 1 anti-air missile system, 2 buildups of troops, weapons and military equipment and 5 artillery systems of the occupiers.


The admission of drones and jammers to operation has been simplified. “From now on, the General Staff will approve the technical requirements for UAVs, indicating the tactical and technical characteristics that such products must meet, for admission to operation. In addition, the General Staff is tasked with approving the technical requirements of jammers and their current need for each jammer type,” they noted.

Over 5.6 billion hryvnias were allocated for payments to IDPs in October. This is a monthly state housing allowance of 3,000 hryvnias for persons with disabilities and children, as well as 2,000 hryvnias for all other internally displaced persons.

Recent war events in the east of Ukraine

Kharkiv oblast

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Ukrainian defenders repelled more than ten russian attacks towards Kupiansk, specifically near Synkivka and Ivanivka. More than 10 settlements in Kharkiv oblast were attacked.

An ambulance, which was shelled by russian military on 12 March 2022 in Derhachi, resulting in critical injuries to the driver, was displayed in a square in downtown Leipzig, Germany. Leipzig doctor Martin Zimann, who organised humanitarian and military aid for Ukrainians after 24 February 2022, reported that the Soviet-era ambulance was no longer in use and was stored in the garage of the hospital in Derhachi. The vehicle has already visited more than 30 German cities. Ziemann said that the car is shown to people in Germany and Europe so that they can see what it means for Ukrainians to live in these terrible circumstances for more than 600 days.

A russian BTR-82 destroyed by Ukrainian artillery was delivered to the military museum in Lutsk. The vehicle was hit last year in Kharkiv oblast. Vasyl Karpiuk, a museum employee, said that a permanent place is currently being arranged for the new exhibit. This is the first such example of a damaged vehicle in Volyn.

Heavy fighting is ongoing along the contact line. Yesterday our troops repelled 20 enemy attacks near Synkivka and Ivanivka towards Kupiansk. The enemy is not advancing and suffers constant losses.

Oleh Syniehubov, Head of Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, informed that at present, 38 boiler houses are working, 24 healthcare facilities and 120 apartment buildings in Kharkiv oblast are heated. There are 916 Invincibility Centres deployed in the region and more than 10 mobile such centres are on standby.

Late in the evening, at about 11:15 pm, russians attacked Lyptsi village, Kharkiv region, with multiple rocket launchers. Preliminary, there were no casualties.

Yesterday the enemy shelled settlements of Kharkiv, Chuhuiv and Kupiansk regions.

The shelling of Kucherivka village, Kupiansk region, damaged 2 buildings and outbuildings. A 39-year-old civilian man was injured and hospitalised.

In addition, Vovchansk, Ohirtseve and Hatyshche of Chuhuiv region, Dvorichna, Synkivka, Ivanivka, Kyslivka of Kupiansk region and other settlements were under enemy attacks.

The Regional Rescue Department confirmed that russia shelled Kupiansk-Vuzlovyi with artillery at night,there were no casualties. Four private buildings and five trade kiosks were damaged.

Mine clearance is ongoing. Yesterday pyrotechnics of the State Emergency Service examined more than 12 hectares of territory and defused 90 explosive ordnance.

Donetsk oblast

Anton Kotsukon, Spokesman of the 110th Brigade, reported that russians are digging tunnels towards Avdiivka for disguise and unexpected attacks from almost underground. Also, during active combat, the reconnaissance men spotted russians using small radio vehicles to bring in ammunition.

In the morning russian troops shelled Avdiivka with artillery, injuring a man and a woman. According to Anastasiia Miedviedieva, Spokeswoman of Donetsk Regional Prosecutor’s Office, they were taken to hospital.

Donetsk Regional Prosecutor’s Office stated that russians shelled Voskhod village of Ocheretyne community, injuring a 47-year-old man at around 4 pm.

Serhii Hoshko, Head of Soledar City Military Administration of Bakhmut region, informed that there are still 165 residents in Soledar community. Only three people have been evacuated since September.

Reffering to the National Resistance Centre, in the temporarily occupied territories, russian forces move into empty apartments and if the owner of the apartment appears over time, he is evicted from his home.

According to Donetsk Regional Military Administration, russian invaders shelled civilians 15 times in just a day.

Towards Volnovakha, russians shelled Vuhledar with artillery, mortars, Grad MRLs and Kamikaze drones, without any casualties.

Towards Donetsk, the enemy launched a missile attack on Novomykhailivka of Marinka community and shelled Ocheretyne. In the morning, Avdiivka suffered a massive artillery attack that injured 1 person.

Towards Horlivka, a building and an outbuilding were damaged in Toretsk. An apartment building, 3 private buildings and 2 non-residential buildings were damaged in Chasiv Yar community. In Soledar community, Rozdolivka and Minkivka were under attack. In the middle of the night, russians hit Kostiantynivka with missiles, damaging a school and a canteen.

Towards Lysychansk, two streets in Siversk and two streets in Serebrianka were shelled. Lyman community was attacked 6 times.

Ihor Moroz, Acting Head of Donetsk Regional Military Administration, said that russians injured 1 civilian in Avdiivka.

Kira the Labrador, who is helping police demine Donetsk oblast, has received the Four-legged Defender award in the security and defence sector and was recognised as the best in the explosive detection category. According to Donetsk police, the dog award ceremony was held in Kyiv and is organised annually by the Cynological Society of Ukraine.

Luhansk oblast

Yesterday Ukrainian troops repelled five more russian attacks near Nadiia and an enemy offensive east of Nevske. The enemy shelled Nevske, Makiivka and Bilohorivka with artillery and mortars. An air strike was also launched on Bilohorivka.

The situation on the frontline has become extremely tense for several weeks now. People are gradually agreeing to leave but many are staying, risking their lives. Yesterday four residents of Novoliubivka, 49-year-old, 35-year-old, 45-year-old men and a 29-year-old woman, were evacuated. All of them are now in a safer region of the country. Once again the delivery of pensions to residents of the de-occupied settlements in the region was organised.

According to Luhansk Regional Military Administration, the Ukrposhta department made the payments to four elderly people from Nevske and three more from Novoliubivka.

Artem Lysohor, Head of Luhansk Regional Military Administration, said that a postage stamp was issued to mark the anniversary of Luhansk Border Guard Detachment. Ukrposhta has also issued postcards and personalised envelopes with the symbols of Luhansk border guards. The image for the stamp was created by Ukrainian artist Beata Kurkul, who is known for her numerous drawings of our border guards and the military of the Defence Forces.

What is happening now in the north of Ukraine

Kyiv oblast

The embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany reported that the Federal Minister of Environment and Nuclear Safety of Germany, Steffi Lemke, visited Kyiv on October 20 to hold negotiations on the restoration of the ecological sphere of Ukraine after the russian aggression.

An international forum on mental health was held in Kyiv, in which representatives of state bodies, non-governmental institutions and international organizations participated. The Forum discussed ways to develop mental health care, particularly in the context of a humanitarian crisis, raising people’s awareness of mental health, as well as responding to the needs of the population during emergencies.

The Olena Zelenska Foundation is starting a project to rebuild a children’s creative and sports hub in Borodianka, Kyiv oblast. The building was destroyed by russian troops during the occupation of the settlement in the spring of 2022. A new creative and sports hub will be built on the site of the destroyed facility. It is planned to allocate 1 million US dollars for the restoration of the facility – this is the contribution of the Canadian foundation of the Temertey family.

Kyiv RMA reported that “Hansen’s Town” was opened in Tarasivka, where people who lost their homes as a result of russian aggression get housing. The construction is financed by To Ukraine With Love CO. The main investor of the project is Dell Loy Hansen. 80 families (more than 300 internally displaced persons, 104 of which are children) will receive the keys to the first-tier settlements.

In the village of Kolonshchyna of the Makariv community, the Miracle Town has begun to function. This project is implemented for elderly people who lost their homes due to russian military aggression. Accommodation in the town is absolutely free and unlimited in time. The apartments are modernly renovated, fully furnished and equipped with everything necessary for a comfortable stay.

The second ceremony of awarding service dogs – “Four-legged defenders” was held in the capital, organized by the NGO “Kinological Union of Ukraine”. During the ceremony, 23 service dogs serving in the bodies of the security and defense sector of Ukraine received honorary awards. Awards were presented in four categories: “Search for explosive substances”, “Special purpose dog”, “Search for narcotics”, “For a saved life”.

KCSA reported that on Friday, 12 Kyiv metro stations held trainings on first aid,. Experienced specialists and instructors of the Center for Emergency Medical Aid and Disaster Medicine conducted free training for all interested parties. The implementation of this project began in September of last year – in 12 months, about 13,000 Kyiv residents and guests of the capital joined the exercises.

In Kyiv, on October 20, the National Museum of the History of Ukraine in the Second World War hosted the presentation of the exhibition “Threat from the Sky”. This project is a warning about the danger posed to Ukrainians by enemy drones targeting the defense forces and civilian objects, including critical, economic, socio-cultural infrastructure.

Zhytomyr oblast

Zhytomyr RMA reported that they plan to build a mobile rehabilitation module in Ovruch – a space for physical and psychological rehabilitation of people who suffered as a result of the full-scale russian invasion. Regarding the implementation of this project, a memorandum of cooperation was signed with Taras Yermakov, the president of the “MAINDI” charitable foundation.

Zhytomyr RMA reported that military units at the front received six ambulances. They were purchased in Italy with the funds of patrons of Zvyagel and Zhytomyr regions, other regions of Ukraine and foreign benefactors. Reanimobiles are equipped with the necessary medical drugs provided by the Malva of Ukraine Italian charity organization.

Sumy oblast

Humanitarian aid for wounded soldiers and orphans was brought to Sumy by two volunteers from Scotland. Medical equipment, medicines, toys, clothes were purchased with money collected by residents of the seaside Scottish town of Burghead.  Volunteers bought a vehicle especially for the delivery of aid to Sumy oblast and personally drove it  for 5 days to bring it.

Sumy Military Administration reported that during the previous day, October 20, the russian military carried out a mortar shelling of Shalyhine community – 8 explosions were recorded. At night, the enemy made 2 mortar strikes on the territory of the Seredina-Buda community.

In Sumy oblast, families of fallen defenders of Ukraine received high state awards. Posthumous awards were presented by the head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration, Volodymyr Artyukh.

The SSU of Sumy oblast reported that SSU reported the suspicion to russian political scientist Serhiy Mikheev, who during one of his speeches in June 2023 called for turning the oblast into a “dead zone.” Serhiy Mikheev also suggested continuing regular airstrikes on populated areas along the Ukrainian border until their complete destruction, justified and supported the seizure of Ukrainian territories.

Chernihiv oblast

The police of the Chernihiv oblast reported that the russian military struck the house of residents of the Novhorod-Siverskyi community five times at once. Enemy fire damaged the roof of the house and the garage, the windows in the barn were broken. It is noted that the police always arrive at the sites of hits due to russian attacks to help the affected people and document the consequences of the shelling.

The restoration agency will rebuild residential buildings on Druzhba and Lisova Streets in Yagidny. These streets suffered the most when the village was under russian occupation. Vyacheslav Chaus, head of Chernihiv RMA, said that three more tenders for 4 houses each were announced as part of the complex reconstruction of the village.

Chernihiv RMA reported that the project of 13 houses for internally displaced persons in the village of Stary Bykiv by District #1 and architect Oleksandr Petrenko has been nominated for the European Union Prize for Contemporary Architecture – Mies van der Rohe Awards. The goal of implementing the project in Chernihiv oblast is to breathe life into the village after the russian invasion. 

Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine

Dnipropetrovsk oblast

Mykola Lukashuk, Head of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast Council, reported that the enemy attacked Kryvyi Rih with missiles and drones in the evening and at night. The first strike killed one person and injured another. Three country houses were damaged. The night attack damaged an infrastructure facility.

Another life was taken by the invaders. A 71-year-old man, a resident of Nikopol, was killed by enemy shelling. The pensioner, a civilian, simply decided to go fishing on his day off. During the day, the invaders attacked Nikopol several times. They shelled Marhanets community and Nikopol with artillery and drones. They launched about two dozen shells. An infrastructure facility, private buildings, an outbuilding and a solar panel were damaged.

A rally in support of Azovstal’s defenders, who have been held in russian captivity for more than 17 months, was held in downtown Dnipro. The relatives of the prisoners came out to remind them of their fate. They say the last exchange of soldiers from Mariupol garrison was in May.

Vinnytsia oblast

​​On the birthday of the Hero of the Heavenly Hundred, Maksym Shymko, a traditional knight tournament was organised in Vinnytsia for the sixth time. The tournament brought together 27 participants from different cities of Ukraine. In addition, a charity fair was held on Tarasa Shevchenka Square and the funds raised will go to purchase charging stations for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Volunteer Volodymyr Nahornyi from Vinnytsia oblast makes knives from burnt russian equipment for Ukrainian defenders. It takes him several days to make one knife. Thanks to the successful work of our defenders at the front, there is enough material.

Kirovohrad oblast

Kirovograd oblast received aid for medical institutions from Lower Silesian Voivodeship of the Republic of Poland. Medical equipment, 45 kW and 30 kW generators were delivered.

Poltava oblast

Filip Pronin, Head of Poltava Regional Military Administration, reported that the inspection of residential buildings and apartments, which were damaged as a result of an enemy attack, is being completed in Myrhorod. These are 137 objects: 91 apartments and 46 buildings. Applications are still coming in. Next week, the commissions will finish completing all the acts and expert opinions required to pay out financial aid. About 70% have already been processed. 153 people applied for compensation for damaged property. Next week, the first 28 people will receive funds from Myrhorod community in total amount of UAH 542,7K.

Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine

Zaporizhzhia oblast

Zaporizhzhya Military District Administration said that the russian army launched 106 attacks on the towns and villages of Zaporizhzhya oblast over the past day,  October 20. The artillery attacked Gulyaypole, Orikhiv, Zaliznychne, Mala Tokmachka, Charivne, Novodanilivka, Malynivka, Bilohirya, Levadne, Poltavka, Shcherbaki, Pyatikhatki. 

The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported that towards Zaporizhzhia, russian troops conducted unsuccessful assault operations in the Poltavka area and tried to regain their lost position in the Robotyno area of Zaporizhzhia oblast. 

A new mural “Unbreakable” dedicated to Ukraine was unveiled in Vilnius. It depicts Tetiana Drobotia, a volunteer from Zaporizhzhia,  against the backdrop of the rocks of Khortytsia Island a week after the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station was blown up. Lithuania, Estonia and Ukraine joined in the creation of the mural. The visuals were created by a team from Zaporizhzhia: photographer Olena Tita, designer Yurii Lviv and florist Natalia Boiko, artistic embroidery artist Yuliia Artyomieva, tailor Olena Pacheva, jewellery maker Liudmyla Kokar, and hairstylist Inna Stremedlovska.

Mykolaiv oblast

Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, reported that on October 20, the russian army shelled the coastline of Ochakiv with artillery. And on the night of  October 21, the occupiers launched a missile attack outside the settlement of Voznesensk district. There were no casualties.

Oleksandr Senkevych, Mayor of Mykolaiv, announced that by the end of this year or in January 2024, a website is to be launched in Mykolaiv, which will show what humanitarian aid the city has received during the war and from whom, and to whom it has been redistributed. The European Anti-Corruption Initiative is working on this, and they are developing a public website that will contain all the aid we have received and the places where it has been sent. All this is being done at the expense of Denmark. 

C-Job Mykolaiv has developed a houseboat project, a floating house. The houseboat is a two-level steel structure on a floating platform. The project includes mooring, towing and rescue equipment, systems for connecting to shore infrastructure, heating and water supply. Power supply is provided by solar panels, a wind generator and a diesel generator. Unfortunately, we did not find the cost of such houses on the product developer’s website. Such houses on the water could become a temporary shelter for those who have been left homeless by the war. And after the war, they could be used for tourism development in the region and beyond.

Odesa oblast

Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service in Odesa oblast said that in Odesa oblast, 279 safety classes have already been opened. In particular, this week new safety spaces appeared in Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi, Podilskyi, and Odesa districts. 

The paintings of the captain of the fourth rifle battalion of the 28th separate mechanized brigade named after the Knights of the Winter Campaign, Borys Eisenberg, which he painted at the front, were shown to Odesa residents at an exhibition at the Odesa Art Museum. Borys was killed on July 13 while performing a combat mission near the village of Bila Hora in Donetsk oblast. The exhibition is called “Flowers behind the dumps” because the paintings depict flowers. Some of them are placed on pieces of ammunition box lids.  The exhibition, which was planned during Borys Eisenberg’s lifetime, was visited by his comrades-in-arms and his father.

Kherson oblast

Southern Defense Forces  reported that during the day, the russian army conducted 10 air strikes in Kherson oblast. It dropped 30 guided bombs on Beryslav, Olgivka, Mykilske, Tyahyntsi, and Mykolaivka. 

On the night of October 21, russian troops shelled Naddnipryanske with multiple launch rocket systems and artillery.

At about 11:35, russian troops fired on the Stanislav community in the Kherson oblast. A local resident was injured.

In Beryslav, the body of a woman was found while dismantling the rubble of a house destroyed by a russian bomb. The 56-year-old local resident was taking care of him. At the time of the air strike, she came to feed the dogs.

Southern Defense Forces reported that Ukrainian troops  towards Kherson eliminated 28 russian servicemen and destroyed two infantry fighting vehicles, a cannon, a Pole-21 electronic warfare station and six armoured vehicles.

Oleksandr Prokudin, Head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, reported that on October 20, the russian army fired 57 times at the territory of Kherson oblast. They hit residential areas. One person was killed and another injured.  

The activists of the Yellow Ribbon reported that in the temporarily occupied Nova Kakhovka, Oleshky, Hola Prystan, Hornostayivka and Ivanivka in Kherson region, russian military are robbing local residents. Under the guise of “inspections,” they confiscate money, vehicles, valuables, and food. They also check for russian passports. 

Kherson Regional Military Administration said that in Davydovyi Brod in Kherson oblast, builders from Ivano-Frankivsk oblast have completely restored nine residential buildings destroyed by russian shelling, and are replacing the roof, windows and doors in two of them, as well as repairing the facade. 

Latest news for today in the western regions of Ukraine

Volyn oblast

Since the beginning of the full-scale russian invasion of Ukraine, the oblast has taken in 78 658 IDPs. 49 515 people have the status of IDPs. This amounts to 35 609 families, in which 14 114 are children. Among the IDPs: 2 183 people with disabilities, 7 078 pensioners, 92 families with many children, 12 families with single parents. In addition, 174 people who moved from Kherson oblast due to the explosion of Kakhovska HPP arrived in Volyn.

Zakarpattia oblast

The RMA held a meeting with representatives of the Leipziger Energie GmbH & Co. KG company. They discussed prospects of cooperation in the direction of green hydrogen production.

The RMA held a meeting with Oksana Zholnovych, Minister of Social Policy of Ukraine. Key issues regarding the development of social services in the oblast were discussed.

The RMA reported that 4 volunteers from Zakarpattia were awarded certificates of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Ivano-Frankivsk oblast

A network of rehabilitation facilities is developing in Prykarpattia. Starting in 2024, two more rehabilitation departments should be operational in the Burshtyn and Verkhovyna hospitals. 20 multidisciplinary teams provide rehabilitation assistance in Prykarpattia. All rehabilitation services are covered by the National Health Service. In order to complete the outpatient course, an electronic referral from the family medic is required; for a hospital – a referral from a specialist doctor.

The RMA reported that the 3th degree For Courage orders (posthumously) were awarded to relatives of fallen Heroes from Nadvirnian regiom.

Lviv oblast

Lviv City Council reported that the city sent a Mitsubishi L200 pickup truck to the unit A2166 (the 76th separate regiment of communication and radio technical support named after Vyacheslav Chornovol); 6 Autel Evo Max 4T drones to the unit A4714; a Valkyrie UAV, a Mara UAV and 4 Autel Evo Max 4T drones to the Academies of the Ground Forces; 10 Autel Evo Max 4T drones to the 24th Separate Mechanized Brigade.

In total, this year Lviv community has already purchased various equipment worth UAH 520 mln for the military. Still at the stage of coordination, there are requests for purchases for over UAH 100 mln. And in general, this year the amount of support for military formations and support for military personnel and their families will amount to UAH 2,1 billion from the city budget of Lviv (including UAH 1 billion for the purchase of equipment and equipment at the request of defenders).

Students of Sambir Pedagogical College named after Ivan Filipchak weave nets for several hours every day after school in the premises of the Prosvita building. A volunteer from Odesa organizes the process. Now they are weaving khaki nets, white ones will start soon.

Boris Stepaniuk, soldier from the village of Svitaziv of Sokal community, was posthumously awarded with the 3rd degree For Courage Order. The Hero was killed on November 8, 2022 in a battle near the village of Belohorivka, Luhansk oblast.

An exhibition of photographs of those defenders of Ukraine who are considered missing or in captivity was opened in Lviv. A prayer for the victory of Ukraine and its Heroes was also held at the exhibition site. The exhibition We Believe, We Wait was organized on the initiative of wives of soldiers of the 24th separate mechanized brigade named after King Danylo.

Rivne oblast

In Rivne, a charity event was held for the children of fallen defenders of the community. The key purpose of such a meeting is to establish a dialogue, to establish direct contact with the families of fallen Heroes, so that in case of the slightest need, they can apply for any help and promptly receive it.

Residents of Rivne oblast received over UAH 605K for the repair of damaged housing. In particular, 2 residents of Zoriansk community received UAH 200K each. And also two people from Sarnen region UAH 200K and UAH 5,7K.

Ternopil oblast

Ternopil city council held a meeting with Dovydas Kaminskas, Mayor of the Taurage District Municipality, Romualdas Vaitkus, People’s Deputy of the Parliament of the Republic of Lithuania, Sigitas Michulis, Deputy of the Taurage District Municipal Council, and Marius Jucikas, Head of the Association of Entrepreneurs of Taurage. They discussed all difficulties of last winter, help to the community and future cooperation.

Chortkov held the 5th annual march of patriots under the slogan We are the Youth of Ternopil, We are the Children of the Cossack Family, We are the Future defenders of Ukraine. The event was organized with the aim of educating patriotic citizens, future defenders of the state independence and territorial integrity of Ukraine, who nurture Ukrainian traditions, spiritual values, and possess relevant knowledge, abilities and skills.

Khmelnytskyi oblast

The RMA reported that the oblast sent 16 SUVs to the Ukrainian military.

Chernivtsi oblast

Healthcare institutions of the oblast received 8 ventilators with consumables for them and 14 patient monitors from the Public Health Center of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.

International support of Ukraine in the russian-Ukrainian war (russia’s invasion of Ukraine)

Jochen Flaisbart, State Secretary of the Federal Ministry of Economy of Germany, reported that the country will allocate another EUR 200 mln to Ukraine for education, health care and drinking water supply, as well as to the reconstruction of cities.

The administration of the US president has sent a request to Congress for additional funding for security needs in the total amount of $105,85 billion. The funds are planned to be used for aid to Israel, humanitarian needs in Ukraine, the Gaza Strip and other regions, aid to refugees and strengthening of US border protection. And $61,4 billion is planned for military aid to Ukraine.

The second EU-US summit took place in Washington. The final statement, published on the website of the European Council, said, among other things, that russia should stop its aggression and face legal consequences for its international crimes, including compensation that was inflicted on Ukraine.

Steffi Lemke, German Minister of Environment and Nuclear Safety, visited Kyiv for talks on environmental recovery, in which the federal ministry offers support.

Ihor Zhovkva, Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, met with Virginius Sinkevichus, European Commissioner for Environmental Protection, Oceans and Fisheries. They discussed the scale of damage caused to the environment of Ukraine as a result of military actions in Ukraine.

Representatives of the Office of the President met with Mary Robinson, Head of the The Elders group of world leaders, President of Ireland in 1990-1997.
