It has been the 231th day of the Ukrainian resistance to the russian military aggression.

What happened in Ukraine today:

Here is operational information of the General Staff as of 18.00:

The enemy is trying to hold the ground in the temporarily occupied territories, focus its efforts on thwarting the active actions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in some directions. Moreover, they are attempting to launch an offensive towards Bakhmut and Avdiivka.

The enemy fires at our defender’s position along the entire contact line, erects the defensive constructions in some directions and conducts the aerial reconnaissance.

The russians are constantly violating the norms of the International humanitarian law, strikes at the critical infrastructure and residential areas.

The enemy launched 3 missiles and 4 rockets, fired from multi rocket launchers 10 times.

The facilities and civilians in over 10 settlements, Mali Scherbaky, Ochakiv, Nikopol and Myrne, were affected. The infrastructure facilities in Zaporizhzhia and Mykolaiv oblasts were damaged. The russians used cruise missiles, space-to-air guided weapons. Furthermore, occupiers are using Iranian “Shahed-136” UAVs. The air defense forces of Ukraine destroyed 10 of them.

Towards Volyn and Polissia, the situation did not significantly change. The republic of belarus continues to comprehensively inspect and examine their armed forces and conducts military drills. The territory of Ukraine is still exposed to the threat of missile and air strikes, as well as “Shahed-136” UAVs from belarus.

The enemy fired towards;

Siversk from mortars and barreled artillery in the areas of Hai, Chernihiv oblast, Myropillia, Stukalivka, Seredyna Buda, Rozhkovychi and Pavlivka, Sumy oblast. The enemy used the attack drones;

The Armed Forces of Ukraine repelled the attacks in the areas of Novosadove, Bakhmutske, Ivanhrad, Bakhmut, Soledar, Spirne, Maoirsk and Krasnohorivka.

About 500 mobilized soldiers from the 205th motorized rifle brigade of the 49th general army were sent to the areas of hostilities in the temporarily occupied territories. Newly drafted into military service are poorly equipped with the soviet era helmets and AK-12 rifles which have negative user experience.

NB! The AK-12 rifle was developed by Kalashnikov concern and entered the market in January 2012.

It is a new upgraded rifle developed using the design and technology solutions of the past. The user experience in the battles in Ukraine was so negative that within the weeks of its battlefield use it was offered to literally de-upgrade this sample.

200 mobilized soldiers of the 3rd brigade of special guards are being trained. After being involved in the hostilities in Ukraine, every second soldier resigned or prematurely terminated the contract.
