It has been the 792nd day of the Ukrainian resistance to the russian military aggression. 

What happened in Ukraine today:

Here is operational information of the General Staff as of 6 pm:   

During the day of 25 April, there were 93x tactical engagements.

The enemy launched a total of 4x missile and 50x air strikes, 45x MLRS attacks on the positions of Ukrainian troops and various settlements. Unfortunately, the russian terrorist attacks have wounded civilians. Residential apartment blocks and private houses, as well as other infrastructure got destroyed and damaged.

Volyn and Polissia axes: no significant changes. No signs of formation of an offensive group.

Sivershchyna and Slobozhanshchyna axes: the adversary maintains its military presence in the russian areas bordering Ukraine. The enemy conducts subversion, continues shelling of Ukrainian settlements from the territory of russia and increases the concentration of mining operations along the state border of Ukraine. The enemy launched an airstrike in the vicinity of Sumy city. More than 20x settlements, including Karpovychi (Chernihiv oblast), Uralove, Manukhivka, Basivka, Ponomarenky (Sumy oblast), came under enemy artillery and mortar fire.

Kupiansk and Lyman axes: the Ukrainian defenders repelled 9x attacks on in the vicinities of Berestove (Kharkiv oblast) and Stelmakhivka (Luhansk oblast). The invaders fired artillery and mortars at more than 10x settlements, including Synkivka, Stepova Novoselivka, Pishchane (Kharkiv oblast).

Lyman axis: the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 16x attacks in the vicinities of Druzheliubivka (Kharkiv oblast), Makiivka, Serebrianka forestry (Luhansk oblast), Terny, Zarichne (Donetsk oblast). The occupiers launched an air strike in the vicinity of Borova (Kharkiv oblast). The enemy fired artillery and mortars at more than 10x settlements, including Makiivka (Luhansk oblast), Terny, Yampolivka, Torske (Donetsk oblast).

Bakhmut axis: the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 16x attacks in the vicinities of Bilohorivka (Luhansk oblast), Verkhnokamianske, Novyi, Spirne, Ivanivske, Klishchiivka (Donetsk oblast), where the enemy attempted to improve its tactical position. The enemy launched air strikes in the vicinities of Mykolaivka, Chasiv Yar, Spirne, Dyliivka (Donetsk oblast). More than 10x settlements came under artillery and mortar fire, including Kalynivka, Chasiv Yar, Klishchiivka (Donetsk oblast).

Avdiivka axis: the Ukrainian defenders repelled 23x attacks in the vicinities of Ocheretyne, Umanske, Nevelske, Keramik, Berdychi, Netailove (Donetsk oblast), where the enemy made attempts to dislodge Ukrainian troops from their positions. The adversary launched air strikes in the vicinities of Kalynove, Semenivka, Karlivka, Novohrodivka, Yevhenivka, Oleksandropil, Arkhanhelske, Novokalynove (Donetsk oblast). The invaders fired artillery and mortars at more than 10x settlements, including Keramik, Arkhanhelske, Soloviove, Umanske (Donetsk oblast).

Novopavlivka axis: the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to block the enemy near Krasnohorivka, Pobjeda, Novomykhailivka, Vodyane (Donetsk oblast), where the invaders made 14x attempts to breach Ukrainian defence. The adversary launched an airstrike in the vicinity of Urozhaine (Donetsk oblast). The enemy fired artillery and mortars at more than 10x settlements, including Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, Paraskoviivka (Donetsk oblast).

Orikhiv axis: the enemy, with air support, launched 1x attack on positions of Ukrainian defenders in the vicinity of Robotyne (Zaporizhzhia oblast). Around 20x settlements, including Chervone, Bilohiria, Robotyne, Kamianske (Zaporizhzhia oblast), were under artillery and mortar fire of the occupiers.

Kherson axis: the enemy does not abandon its intention to dislodge Ukrainian troops from their bridgeheads on the left bank of the Dnipro River. In particular during the day of 25 April, the invaders executed 3x unsuccessful assaults on positions of Ukrainian troops in the vicinity of Krynky (Kherson oblast). The adversary launched air strikes in the vicinities of Kachkarivka and Ivanivka (Kherson oblast). The occupiers fired artillery and mortars at around 20 settlements, including Tyahynka, Ivanivka, Novotyahynka, Tokarivka (Kherson oblast).

During the day of 25 April, the Ukrainian Air Force launched air strikes on 2x command posts, 8x concentrations of enemy troops, 3x anti-aircraft missile systems of russian invaders.

The Ukrainian Missile Forces hit 1x concentration of enemy troops.

The Ministry of Defence reported that Ukraine has established an Office to manage military assistance provided by partner countries. There are currently 8 coalitions, including aviation capabilities and air and missile defence.

The Ministry of Reconstruction of Ukraine informed that payments under the yeVidnovlennia programme have been approved for more than 65,000 Ukrainians. Most applications for compensation for both damaged and destroyed housing came from Kharkiv, Kyiv, Donetsk and Mykolaiv oblasts.

Recent war events in the east of Ukraine

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that the Ukrainian military repelled 93 russian attacks on the frontlines of Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts yesterday. The russian army attacked most of all towards Bakhmut and Avdiivka.

Kharkiv oblast

Oleh Syniehubov, Head of Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, informed that russians shelled Novoosynove of Kurylivka community. As a result of the shelling, 70- and 73-year-old women were injured.

At 1:41am, russians shelled Hlushkivka village, Kupiansk region. 8 private households and a car trailer were damaged.

At 1:40am, a private house was burning as a result of shelling in Kruhlivka village, Kupiansk region.

Yesterday about 15 settlements in Kharkiv oblast suffered artillery and mortar attacks: Veterynarne, Kudiivka, Hatyshche and others. Vesele, Bilyi Kolodiaz, Vovchansk and Kyrylivka were hit by airstrikes.

At 9:40pm, russians shelled Slobozhanske village, Kharkiv region. Two private houses were damaged as a result of the shelling from multiple rocket launchers.  A private house was on fire as result of the repeated shelling at 10:37pm.

At 3pm, russians shelled Vovchansk. The shelling destroyed a shop, damaged a pharmacy building, 3 private houses, a garage, 3 outbuildings and a cafe.

At 2:26pm, russians opened fire on Kyrylivka village of Staryi Saltiv community, Chuhuiv region. The shelling damaged the building of the lyceum, the village council, 6 private houses, 3 outbuildings and 1 two-storey apartment building.

At 2:25pm, russians shelled Bilyi Kolodiaz village of Vovchansk community, Chuhuiv region. A private house, two outbuildings and a two-storey apartment building were damaged as a result of the shelling by the UAV.

Yesterday the enemy attacked our positions once near Berestove village towards Kupiansk.

Combined teams of bomb experts cleared 31.75 hectares of mines and destroyed 481 explosive ordnance.

The liquidation of the aftermath of the shelling of residential buildings in Kharkiv by the enemy the day before continues. The RMA is helping locals, who suffered from the shelling, to prepare documents for applying for compensation under the yeVidnovlennia programme.

Evacuations from previously defined settlements in three regions of the oblast continue and 70 families with children have already left for safer places.

There is still a shortage of electricity in Kharkiv, with scheduled blackouts in force. The only places in the oblast without electricity are the settlements bordering russia.

The press service of the regional power company said that power engineers have returned electricity to Brazhkivka village of Oskil community, where there has been no electricity supply since February 2022. To restore electricity to the village, the power company restored the substation, installed 10 high-voltage and 30 low-voltage poles and replaced damaged wires.

The regional council said that a restored outpatient clinic was opened in Izium as the hostilities damaged the roof, ceiling, walls, internal communications, heating, water supply and sewage systems in the medical facility. According to the council, the cost of the work was almost UAH 8m, provided by philanthropists. The renovated outpatient clinic has two family doctors, a surgery room, a treatment room and a laboratory.

Donetsk oblast

Filashkin, Head of Donetsk Regional Military Administration, said that russian troops shelled Udachne. As a result, 2 people were killed and one injured. Preliminary, the village was hit by a rocket. One person was also killed in Kurakhivka as a result of a cannon artillery attack.

Vadym Filashkin added that at least one person was killed in Ocheretyne and five others injured in Krasnohorivka and Hirnyk as a result of russian shelling. Also russian troops also shelled Novooleksandrivka and Vozdvyzhenka of Hrodivka community today and the aftermath of the shelling is being established.

The press service of Donetsk police reported that the day before, russian troops launched 1,889 attacks. The attacks hit 11 settlements: Hirnyk, Dobropillia, Krasnohorivka, Kurakhove, Pokrovsk, Toretsk, Chasiv Yar cities, Halytsynivka, Lysivka, Ostrivske and Soloviove villages.

17 civilian objects were damaged, including 8 residential buildings, utility companies, an administrative building, a shop, a social infrastructure facility and cars.

The enemy launched three S-300 missiles at Pokrovsk, damaging a social facility and causing no casualties.

The invaders shelled Dobropillia three times, injuring two civilians and damaging utility companies, an administrative building and a car.

Two more people were injured in Krasnohorivka and Soloviove as a result of artillery shelling.

The enemy attacked Halytsynivka by a UAV, dropping an RPG-7 warhead. 6 private houses and a shop were destroyed.

The invaders attacked Lysivka by Uragan MRLs, damaging a private house. Another house was damaged in Toretsk.

Oleh Kalashnikov, Spokesman of the 26th Artillery Brigade, said that russian troops cannot capture Chasiv Yar from the flanks. They are using equipment and guided aerial bombs.

An internally displaced woman from Donetsk oblast, who gave birth to a son on the way to evacuation, has reached Rivne oblast. A week ago, the young woman went into labour on the evacuation train. She gave birth to a boy in a hospital in Kirovohrad oblast.  

Luhansk oblast

According to Luhansk Regional Military Administration, the invaders tried to advance towards Nevske. Their ground activity was also observed in Serebrianka forest and Bilohorivka. Enemy aircraft also attacked these areas. Stelmakhivka and Makiivka were under artillery attack. More than 20 russian drones were spotted near Nevske and Kuzemivka.

Krasnorichensk Military Administration delivered a weekly supply of bread to Novoliubivka and Nevske.

It’s been a year since the humanitarian hubs have reformatted their work from food distribution points and are now providing dozens of additional services. It is now important to maintain the personnel potential of medical, educational and other institutions until de-occupation. Also russia has made it as difficult as possible for people, who want to evacuate to the territory controlled by Ukraine, to leave the occupied regions.

A few days ago, an elderly woman disappeared in the de-occupied Hrekivka, the only person who remained in the village at the time. Inspections of the surrounding area will be performed when the security situation allows.

The invaders continue to prepare children and teenagers from the occupied territories for war. A special training programme for the upcoming holidays has been developed by their “ministry of education”.

What is happening now in the north of Ukraine

Kyiv oblast

The My Kyivshchyna information portal with reference to the press service of Bucha City Council reported that Oleksii Buzu, Minister of Social Policy of Moldova, visited Bucha to see with his own eyes the consequences of the russian occupation and assess the scale of recovery. Together with Taras Shapravskyi, Secretary of Bucha City Council, the minister of Moldova visited Vokzalna Street, where fierce battles took place during the occupation and mass crimes by russian troops against the civilian population took place. The high-ranking official was deeply shocked by the details of the occupation and the brutality of the occupiers. However, he was most impressed by the courage and resilience of Bucha residents, who managed to restore their homes and return to a full-fledged life. 

The book Living the War: Children during the russian war against Ukraine was presented at the Book Country 2024 festival, which takes place at National Complex “Expocenter of Ukraine” in the capital. The book was published as part of the Bring Kids Back UA President’s initiative and is dedicated to the stories of eight Ukrainian children who passed through the russian occupation. Through stories, personal stories, photos and drawings of children, the publication tells about their tragedies such as losses, deportations and life under occupation.

Petro Panteleiev, Deputy Chairman of Kyiv city administration, stated during a press briefing on the preparation of the city for the next heating season that more than 1,000 pieces of equipment have already been restored in the capital – this is 70% of what was hit by enemy missiles and Shaheds. 

In the capital, a Spanish volunteer and journalist presented a book about Ukraine. Juan Francisco Martin Fresneda from Leon could not stay away from the war in Ukraine and in the spring of 2022, he came to Kyiv with humanitarian aid, also covering what was happening as a journalist. He wrote a book about what he saw, the purpose of which is to draw attention to the situation in Ukraine and attract even more help and support among Spanish.

Zhytomyr oblast

On 25 April, the Rose of Memory action was held in Berdychiv, Zhytomyr oblast. Relatives of servicemen killed in the russian-Ukrainian war planted 160 roses in memory of them on the alley near the Glory to the Heroes-Defenders of Ukraine memorial. 212 families of the fallen defenders who live in Berdychiv community were invited to the event.

University rector Oleh Skydan said that on 24 April, the proposal to change the name of Zhytomyr Botanical Garden of the Polish National University to the Botanical Garden of the Polish National University named after Paratrooper Heroes was supported by the proposal of the 95th Polissia Separate Airborne Assault Brigade.

Sumy oblast

At night and in the morning, the Russians carried out 3 shellings of the border territories and settlements of the Sumy region. 14 explosions were recorded. The communities of Yunakiv and Bilopol came under fire. Bilopolsk community: fired with LNG (6 explosions). Yunakiv community: the enemy fired mortars (5 explosions) and dropped 3 VOG-type ammunition from a UAV (3 explosions).

In Seredyna-Buda, Russian troops damaged a civil infrastructure object and a house. This happened as a result of hitting 4 FPV drones.

An enemy ambush with more than a dozen saboteurs was discovered by border guards in one of the directions. A shooting battle ensued. For reinforcement, the reserves of units of the State Border Service and the Defense Forces were put forward, and artillery and mortar calculations were used. As a result of the collision, the enemy retreated.

It was reported that the bus station was mined. Everyone was evacuated. Specialists worked on the spot.

During the day, reconnaissance drones flew over the region. This was reported in OVA.

During the day, the enemy used anti-aircraft fire, hitting the infrastructure of Sumy. All necessary services are available on site. The consequences of the attack are being clarified. This was reported in Regional Military Administration.

 

Chernihiv oblast

During the day of April 24, the Russian army shelled the territory of Chernihiv region 4 times. A total of 24 explosions were recorded. The enemy attacked the Novgorod-Siverskyi and Koryukivskyi districts with mortars and artillery.

Terrorists struck in the direction of the villages of Khotiivka and Leonivka of the Semenivska hromad, and the villages of Klyusy and Hrinivka of the Snovska hromad. No information was received about losses among the local population or damage to civil infrastructure. This was reported by the State Border Service “Northern Border”.

After another rocket attack by the enemy in Chernihiv, they decided to increase the number of mobile shelters on the streets of the city. They are able to protect people from debris. Currently, there are 6 mobile shelters on the streets in Chernihiv. They were provided to the city by benefactors. Each can accommodate about 10 people. The other day, both the military administration and the city council agreed on the purchase of 10 more mobile shelters. This was reported by Dmytro Bryzhynskyi, head of the Chernihiv City Military Administration.

Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine

Dnipropetrovsk oblast

As was reported by Mykola Lukashuk, Head of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast Council, the enemy attacked Nikopol region, firing from artillery 3 times during the night. The russians launched about a dozen shells, hitting the region centre, Chervonohryhorivka and Marhanets communities. The shelling caused a fire, damaging private houses, an outbuilding, a greenhouse, a shop, a monument, street lighting, two power lines and a gas pipeline. According to updated information, 4 people were injured and a private house damaged by the fall of the debris of a downed rocket in Synelnykove region. 

A 74-year-old woman was wounded as a result of an attack by russian occupiers. She was in a critical condition in hospital, and two other men aged 46 and 65 were hospitalised in moderate condition. A 23-year-old man was also injured. In total, the enemy attacked Nikopol region 17 times during the day. They hit Nikopol, Myrove and Marhanets communities. A cafe, a market, infrastructure facilities, 4 private houses, an outbuilding, 2 cars, a bus, a garage and a greenhouse were damaged.

Vinnytsia oblast

​​12 new pickups were received by fighters of mobile fire groups that hunt enemy air targets. Vinnytsia City Council reports this.

The Vinnytsia Regional Military Administration handed over 14 operational brigades named after the National Guard. Ivan Bohuna NSU “Chervona Kalyna” 20 FPV drones. Serhiy Borzov, the head of Vinnytsia OVA, announced this.

In the Vinnytsia region, volunteers and entrepreneurs are making electronic warfareBurevy trench warfare systems to help the Ukrainian military fight against Russian drones. These devices block the frequencies on which drones operate, disorient them in space and neutralize them.

​​ Kirovohrad oblast

Information about the soldiers, who were killed in the war, will be broadcast on an information screen in downtown Kropyvnytskyi. The screen will be installed on Arkhitektora Pauchenka Street near the Administrative Services Centre.

Poltava oblast

According to Poltava RMA, residents of Poltava oblast are active participants in the Army of Restoration project. Since the beginning of the year, they have received almost 3,200 referrals from the regional employment service to perform community work. In 51 communities of the oblast, the unemployed were involved in the construction of fortifications, arrangement of shelters and weaving of camouflage nets. 

NGO “Ukrainian Women’s Guard” in cooperation with Poltava State Medical University held a one-day training for women on providing pre-medical care.

Cherkasy oblast

Ihor Taburets, Head of Cherkasy RMA, reported that the enemy attacked Cherkasy oblast in the morning, with effective air defence used against a high-speed enemy air target.

According to preliminary information, a critical infrastructure facility was damaged in Cherkasy oblast. Six people sought medical assistance. Reportedly, a blast wave and debris damaged 74 private houses on several streets. Windows in the neighbouring multi-storey building were also blown out.

Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine

Zaporizhzhia oblast

On Orihiv axis, enemy forces attacked Ukrainian positions once in the past day in the area of Staromykhailivka in Donetsk oblast. Airstrikes attacked Robotyne in Zaporizhzhia oblast.

Bilenke community attacked by russian FPV drones. A medical facility and critical infrastructure objects were damaged.

Yesterday, near the Huliaipole frontline, the enemy conducted attacks by guided aviation bombs, artillery and drones. One of the aviation bombs hit a school. Also, 17 private houses in the city were damaged by enemy strikes.

During the past day, a total of 104 tactical engagements occurred along the entire Ukrainian frontline. Overall, the enemy launched 13 missile strikes, 56 airstrikes and 105 MLRS shells on Ukrainian positions and settlements.

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Ukrainian Air Force conducted strikes on 11 areas where enemy personnel were concentrated. Also, air defence systems destroyed a guided aviation missile X-59 and 3 enemy reconnaissance UAVs. Missile forces units targeted the area of enemy personnel concentration.

According to Zaporizhzhia RMA, on 24 April, occupiers struck Zaporizhzhia oblast 256 times. There were no civilian casualties. 8 settlements were under enemy attack and 13 reports of housing destruction received.

In Zaporizhzhia Regional History Museum, an exhibition of paintings on nets, executed in a unique technique developed by artist Kateryna Vinichenko, has opened.

Mykolaiv oblast

According to Mykolaiv RMA, at 1:58am and 2:15am during the night, as a result of enemy artillery shelling in Dmytrivka of Kutsurub community, private houses and an electric power line support were damaged. There were no civilian casualties reported.

Based on the information provided by the press service of Mykolaivoblenerho, under the coordination of the Ministry of Energy, Mykolaivoblenerho received 6 new aerial platforms worth over €770,000. The specialised equipment was purchased with funds from the Energy Support Fund of Ukraine, initiated by Minister of Energy Herman Halushchenko and European Commissioner for Energy Kadri Simson.

Mykolaiv City Council announced that starting from 25 April, Mykolaiv has been holding a competition to design a memorial place for laying flowers and landscaping in memory of those who died in the war. Artists, including representatives from architecture, urban planning, urbanism, design, sculpture, fine arts and related creative professions, as well as students in these fields, are invited to participate in the competition. The competition will run until 25 May 2024.

Odesa oblast

Based on the information provided by the press service of the Operational Command South, the occupying forces are intensifying drone reconnaissance by launching UAVs into the southern regions of Ukraine. On the morning of 25 April, the air defence of southern Ukraine destroyed a reconnaissance ZALA UAV in Odesa.

According to the Marine Traffic website, the volume of container traffic to the ports of Odesa is gradually increasing. The container ship Pros Hope has docked at one of the Chornomorsk port terminals, arriving from China. 

Kherson oblast

Oleksandr Prokudin, Head of Kherson RMA, reported that on 24 April, russian forces shelled Kherson, Antonivka, Kizomys, Romashkove, Inzhenerne, Sadove, Beryslav, Kachkarivka, Olhivka and Osokorivka in Kherson oblast. 3 people were wounded.

During the night of 25 April, the russian military attacked Tsentralnyi and Dniprovskyi districts of the city. As a result, roofs and facades of private houses were damaged, windows shattered, and property destroyed. There is currently no information about casualties.

According to Kherson RMA, on 25 April, the aggressor country, russia, attacked Antonivka in Kherson oblast, injuring a 71-year-old woman. She was in the courtyard at the time of the shelling. She was hospitalised with concussion, explosive, and cranial injuries. Also, today russian forces shelled Bilozirka in Kherson oblast, injuring a 74-year-old resident. His house was damaged.

On 25 April, russian occupation forces opened fire multiple times in Kherson oblast. Rescuers from the State Emergency Service of Ukraine came under repeated shelling in the suburbs of the regional centre, injuring one of them and a civilian woman.

Based on the information provided by the press service of Kherson RMA, russian forces attacked a civilian vehicle by a drone in Kherson oblast. According to preliminary data, near Osokorivka village, russians dropped an explosive device from a drone onto a truck. The driver of the vehicle was hospitalised with multiple injuries.

According to the Operational Command South, 2 combat Lancet UAVs were destroyed in Kherson oblast during the past day.

Latest news for today in the western regions of Ukraine

Volyn oblast

Lutsk City Council reported that the community sent 2 DJI Mavic 3 Thermal copters along with 12 pairs of mine-resistant shoes to the A0284 unit.

A delegation of the United Nations Children’s Fund UNICEF visited Lutsk. Lutsk community is one of the 10 communities in Volyn, in which, thanks to UNICEF and the Center for Social Services Dzherelo, a pilot project is being implemented to introduce integrated social services for vulnerable children.

Zakarpattia oblast

At the regular meeting of the executive committee of Uzhhorod City Council, a number of issues related to children were considered. 37 children were given the status of a child who suffered as a result of hostilities and armed conflicts. They also voted for changes in the composition of the Coordinating Council on IDPs in Uzhhorod.

Ivano-Frankivsk oblast

Military Chaplain Oleksii Pisarchuk, employee of the Department of Culture, Nationalities and Religions of Ivano-Frankivsk oblast, who today spiritually supports the defenders, received a car thanks to Ivano-Frankivsk-Halytskyi Diocese of the OCU, employees of the Department of Culture, Nationalities and Religions of Ivano-Frankivsk oblast, heads of subordinate institutions and the Nicolas CF.

Representatives of Ivano-Frankivsk City Council visited the military in Donetsk oblast. The 109th Battalion of the 10th Mountain Assault Brigade received 50 FPV drones, the 10th Tank Battalion of the 10th Brigade received walkie-talkies, generators, starlinks, ecoflows, tools and action cameras, the 7th Rifle Battalion received 50 drones, the 24th Brigade of the Peregrine Tactical Group received 35 drones, the battalion named Force of Freedom of the National Guard of Ukraine – 50 drones, the 95th brigade – 30 drones, the 77th brigade – 30 drones, the 80th brigade – 2 Maviks, the 45th Artillery Brigade brought a pickup truck, the 79th brigade handed over spare parts. They also brought 1,000 sheets of slate to Pokrovsk Military Administration, with which the city cooperates.

Lviv oblast

Students of Velyke Kolodno school, their parents raised UAH 21,000 for the Armed Forces at the charity Easter fair. All funds were donated to the purchase of necessary equipment for defenders from Zhovtanets community.

In accordance with the Decree of the President of Ukraine, the III degree For Courage honorary award was awarded to Oleh Bervetskyi. The order was presented to the family of the fallen serviceman. Oleh Bervetskyi fought as part of the 103rd Separate Territorial Defence Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He was killed on 21 November 2022.

In Lviv centre for providing services to combatants, a master class on pysanka was held. Children of military personnel created their own unique Easter eggs to present to wounded defenders undergoing treatment and rehabilitation in Lviv.

Rivne oblast

The 5th evacuation train with 33 people from Donetsk oblast has arrived in Rivne oblast. Among the IDPs are 6 children, 1 pregnant woman and 4 persons with disabilities. The train passengers were registered, received their first payments, medical assistance and psychological consultations.

8 employees of Rivneoblenerho work in Kherson oblast. High-voltage workers restore power supply lines in Bilozersk community. As a result of the regular watch, 8km of power grids should be repaired. Almost half of the planned work has already been completed. Such assistance continues since October 2022 after the de-occupation of part of Kherson oblast. Since then, Rivne specialists have repaired almost 160km of damaged lines.

Ternopil oblast

The RMA held a meeting of the Council on IDPs. The key task of the meeting was the coordination of all IDP councils in communities of the oblast. There are currently 30 of them. At the meeting, an information and coordination platform for IDPs in Ternopil and the oblast was presented.

Khmelnytskyi oblast

As of mid-April 2024, residents of Khmelnytskyi oblast submitted 1,425 applications for compensation for damaged housing through the Diia application to the register of damaged and destroyed property under the yeVidnovlennia program. Compensation was calculated for 1,137 applications, in the amount of almost UAH 78.5m.

Chernivtsi oblast

The 27th meeting of the Mixed Ukrainian-Romanian Border Commission took place in Chernivtsi. The last meeting of the commission was held in 2019. Its key task is to study and regulate all issues related to the border regime and ensure compliance with the terms of the Treaty between Ukraine and Romania on the regime of the Ukrainian-Romanian state border.

International support of Ukraine in the russian-Ukrainian war (russia’s invasion of Ukraine)

The US announced a new package of military aid to Ukraine worth $1bn. The funds are allocated under the PDA program – direct supplies from the reserves of the US Army. This package is aimed at meeting the critical needs of Ukraine, and its components will be delivered to Ukraine as soon as possible. The package includes:

  • RIM-7 and AIM-9M missiles for air defence;
  • missiles for MANPADS Stinger;
  • small arms and additional ammunition for small arms, including 50 calibre cartridges (12.7×99 mm) for combating unmanned aerial vehicles;
  • additional ammunition for HIMARS;
  • artillery shells of 155 mm calibre including DPICM;
  • 105 mm calibre artillery shells;
  • 60 mm calibre mines;
  • BMP M2 Bradley;
  • MRAPs;
  • HMMWV-e;
  • vehicles for logistics needs;
  • tactical trucks for towing and transporting equipment;
  • missiles for ATGM TOW;
  • Javelin and AT-4 anti-tank weapons;
  • high-precision aviation ammunition;
  • airfield technical equipment;
  • anti-tank mines;
  • anti-personnel mines;
  • explosive munitions for clearing obstacles;
  • night vision devices;
  • spare parts, maintenance equipment and other support equipment.

The US secretly transferred long-range ATACMS missiles to Ukraine. They were allegedly included in the March package of aid to Ukraine from the US for $300m. This information was confirmed in the Pentagon. According to Garron Garn, Pentagon spokesman, Joe Biden, US President, secretly approved their transfer in February for use on the territory of Ukraine.

The drone coalition has already raised about €500m for the joint purchase of drones for Ukraine. Denmark and the Netherlands provided €400m, Canada – €70m, Latvia – €10m, Lithuania – €3m. Andris Spruds, Latvian Defense Minister, said that this is only the beginning, as active negotiations with other countries are ongoing.

Ukraine began negotiations with Portugal on a security agreement.

Robert Habek, Minister of Economy of the Federal Republic of Germany, stated that his country proposes to introduce an embargo on the import of LNG from the russian federation to the European Union. Germany was even able to get rid of its infrastructural dependence on russian pipeline gas. The minister advised other countries to follow suit.

Italy will sign an agreement with Ukraine and UNESCO on the reconstruction of Odesa. In February, Italy and UNESCO already signed an agreement in Kyiv on the allocation of €500m for the restoration of the roof of the Transfiguration Cathedral in Odessa.

Andrii Yermak, Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, had a phone conversation with Jake Sullivan, National Security Adviser to the President of the US. They discussed the current situation at the front.

Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysh, Minister of Defense and Deputy Prime Minister of Poland, stated that Poland is ready to help Ukraine return men of conscription age.
