Since the start of the day, the aggressor has attacked the Defence Forces’ positions 63 times.
Artillery shelling of border areas continues. Today, in Sumy oblast, the settlements of Neskuchne, Yastrubshchyna, Korenok, Potapivka, Bachivsk, Hirky, Sukhodil, Tovstodubove and Zhuravka were affected; in Chernihiv oblast – Buchky and Senkivka. The areas around the settlements of Topolia and Volfyne were hit by enemy air strikes.
Towards Northern Sloboda and Kursk, two engagements with the enemy are ongoing; the enemy carried out two air strikes using two guided bombs and fired on settlements and our troops’ positions on 23 occasions.
Towards Southern Sloboda, the invaders made one attempt to break through the defences in the direction of Hoptivka.
Towards Kupiansk, no enemy offensive actions were recorded.
Towards Lyman, Ukrainian troops repelled seven attempts by the invaders to advance in the area of Novoselivka and towards Shyikivka, Lyman, Stavky and Ozerne. Four of these attacks are still ongoing.
Towards Sloviansk, the Defence Forces repelled 16 enemy attacks in the areas around the settlements of Zakitne, Kryva Luka and Riznykivka, and towards Mykolaivka and Rai-Oleksandrivka. One engagement is still ongoing.
Towards Kramatorsk, russian invaders carried out two attacks in the areas around the settlements of Minkivka and Markove.
Towards Kostiantynivka, our defenders repelled 16 attacks in the areas around the settlements of Kostiantynivka, Illinivka, Rusyn Yar and Sofiivka, and towards the settlements of Dovha Balka, Novopavlivka and Kucheri Yar. One engagement is still ongoing.
Towards Pokrovsk, the occupiers have attempted 15 times to dislodge our troops from their positions in the Udachne area and towards the settlements of Bilytske, Novyi Donbas, Shevchenko, Myrne and Serhiivka. One engagement is still ongoing.
Towards Oleksandrivka, no enemy offensive actions have been recorded.
Towards Huliaipole, the Defence Forces repelled four enemy attacks towards Vozdvizhivka, Kosivtseve and Verkhnia Tersa.
Towards Orikhiv and Kherson, no enemy offensive operations have been recorded.
In other sectors, there are currently no significant changes in the situation. No attempts by the enemy to advance have been recorded.
Ukrainian troops are wearing down the enemy along the entire line of contact and in the rear.
Dmytro Zhluktenko (call sign “Liber”), an analyst specialising in combat experience at the 413th RAID Unmanned Systems Regiment, reported that Ukrainian medium-range strike drones have ushered in a new phase in the war. They are exposing russian supply routes that the occupiers had long considered secure. Thanks to new technologies, operators can strike military targets hundreds of kilometres from the front line. This significantly complicates the logistics of the occupying forces. Ukrainian operators can fit a Starlink terminal to a drone. This provides the drone with internet access and allows it to be deployed “on critical motorways”, where the “free hunt” begins. Operators are sowing “chaos” up to 100 km deep behind enemy lines.
The Firefly munition has passed testing and is ready for mass production. Firefly is designed to destroy enemy fortifications, dugouts and protected positions from a safe distance. It operates from an altitude of up to 800 m: after being dropped, it independently calculates its flight path and adjusts it, maintaining accuracy even under the influence of enemy electronic warfare. The Firefly has been tested on Ukraine’s main bomber drones, and the Ministry of Defence is ready to transfer the technology to private manufacturers.

Kharkiv oblast
Frontline
Yesterday 217 combat engagements were recorded.
Towards Southern Sloboda, Ukrainian units repelled seven enemy attacks. The invaders attempted to advance in Starytsia, as well as towards Tsehelne, Vovchanski Khutory, Izbytske and Kolodiazne.
Towards Kupiansk, the enemy launched three attacks in the directions of Petropavlivka, Kolisnykivka and Kurylivka.
As of 4pm, russian troops had made one attempt to breach Ukrainian defences in the direction of Hoptivka. No offensive actions by the occupiers were recorded towards Kupiansk.
Attacks
During the night of 21 July, russian forces carried out around ten strikes using Molniya drones on Baranivka in Zolochiv community. Two houses were destroyed and four buildings belonging to an agricultural enterprise were damaged. No one was injured.
On 20 July at around 8:10pm, a russian FPV drone struck a private house in Bezruky. A 38-year-old man was injured.
At around 6:50pm, an FPV drone attacked a car in Ruska Lozova. Two women, aged 39 and 51, were killed; the 55-year-old driver suffered blast trauma, concussion, a brain contusion and a shrapnel wound to the thigh.
In the evening, russian forces carried out a strike using guided aerial bombs on Izium. Apartment blocks, private homes, a public utility building and garages were damaged. Around 100 window and door frames were shattered.
In Savyntsi, jet-powered drones struck a civilian enterprise. A warehouse building sustained significant damage and a fire broke out. There were no casualties.
During the day, russian troops attacked Zolochiv four times. Two strikes by Molniya drones damaged a community centre, a block of flats, garages and outbuildings. During two strikes by FPV drones, a 12-year-old girl, a 45-year-old woman and a 60-year-old employee of a municipal enterprise suffered acute stress reactions. The municipal enterprise’s premises and a tractor were also damaged.
In Rai-Olenivka, in Pisochyn community, a 66-year-old woman was killed and another 37-year-old woman injured as a result of a drone strike.
According to Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, russian troops attacked Kharkiv and 18 settlements in the region over the past 24 hours. Two people were killed and a further 15 were injured, including a child.
In Shevchenkove, a 68-year-old man was killed, a 20-year-old woman was injured, and seven other people suffered acute stress reactions. In Kharkiv, a 64-year-old woman was injured, whilst four other people, including a 13-year-old girl, suffered acute stress reactions. A 24-year-old man in Izium and a 63-year-old man in Kamiana Yaruha were also injured. One person was killed in Kostiantynivka, in Zolochiv community.
The enemy attacked Shevchenkivskyi, Kyivskyi and Nemyshlianskyi districts of Kharkiv.
Over the past 24 hours, russian forces deployed one missile, three multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS), 12 guided aerial bombs, six Molniya UAVs, three FPV drones and 60 other types of unmanned aerial vehicles.
Residential buildings, a nursery school, railway infrastructure, petrol stations, businesses, cars, garages, power grids and other civilian infrastructure were damaged in Kharkiv, as well as in Bohodukhiv, Kupiansk, Izium, Kharkiv, Lozova and Chuhuiv regions.
Other
On 20 July, National Police bomb disposal experts Maksym Movchan and Anatolii Radkovskyi were killed whilst clearing mines in the de-occupied territory of Kharkiv oblast. Both had served in the internal affairs agencies for over 20 years and had taken part in mine clearance operations in the de-occupied territories of the Kyiv, Kharkiv, Kherson and other oblasts.
Over a three-day period, russia attacked Naftogaz’s gas production facilities in Kharkiv oblast. Due to fires and damage, some of the equipment had to be shut down, resulting in a reduction in gas production volumes.
A girl whose mother was killed in an air strike on Slatyne on 19 July may be taken into the care of her grandmother. 42 families remain in the community, where the forced evacuation of families with children is ongoing.
In Lozova, the dismantling of emergency floor slabs in a nine-storey block damaged by a russian strike in May has been completed. UAH 600,000 have been allocated from the municipal budget for the inspection and repair of the building.
Over the past 24 hours, the transit evacuation centre in Lozova has received 165 people. Since it began operating, over 46,700 evacuees have passed through it.
Up to 50 residents remain in Kozacha Lopana. The Ukrainian military continues to hold this sector.
In Kharkiv, there are plans to install anti-drone nets over the most dangerous sections of the Kharkiv Highway. Funding for the project is currently under consideration.
Over the past week, more than 700 people, including 150 children, have been evacuated from high-risk areas in the oblast. In the last 24 hours, the transit centre in Kharkiv received 226 evacuees, whilst the centre in Lozova received a further 150.
There are now 30 underground schools operating in Kharkiv oblast, as well as Ukraine’s first underground nursery in Pisochyn. Plans are in place to open further such facilities in the near future.
Lithuania has donated 21 tonnes of equipment to Kharkiv oblast to support the energy infrastructure, including electric motors, pumps, transformers, valves and other machinery.

Yesterday, 20th July
Towards Sloviansk, russian troops launched 30 attacks on the positions of the Defence Forces in the areas of Kryva Luka, Zakitne and Riznykivka, as well as in the directions of Kalenyky and Rai-Oleksandrivka. Towards Pokrovsk, 29 clashes took place, whilst towards Lyman, Ukrainian forces repelled 15 assaults.

According to Viktor Trehubov, Spokesman of the Joint Forces Operation.he russian army has stepped up pressure in the north of Donetsk oblast and in Kharkiv oblast, particularly towards Lyman.
Explosions were heard in the morning in the temporarily occupied city of Mariupol, and black smoke was seen rising above the city. According to preliminary data from the city council, a petrol tanker and a petrol station were hit.
The Ukrainian military reported that four russian military targets in the temporarily occupied territories of Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts were struck during the night of 20–21 July. The targets included ammunition depots and UAV control centres.

At around 11am, russian troops dropped two FAB-500 aerial bombs on the industrial zone of Sloviansk. Industrial and administrative buildings, a private house and seven vehicles were damaged.
In Znamianka, russian troops attacked a civilian vehicle. Two elderly people were killed and three others injured.
Three people were injured in Druzhkivka as a result of russian shelling. The Red Cross office was damaged.
In the early hours of the morning, a shop was damaged by shelling in Kramatorsk, and a private house was damaged in Sloviansk.
Yesterday, 20th July
According to police reports, russian forces carried out 1,378 strikes along the front line and in residential areas. 11 settlements were under attack. Four people were killed and a further 13 injured. 46 civilian targets were damaged, including 29 residential buildings.
Russian forces dropped ten KAB-250 aerial bombs on Kramatorsk and also attacked the city with drones. Two people were killed and a further ten injured. Twelve blocks of flats, four medical facilities, a boiler house and two cars were damaged.
In Druzhkivka, two civilians were killed as a result of strikes by KAB bombs and FPV drones. Two blocks of flats were damaged.
Russian forces struck Bilenke with two KAB-250 aerial bombs and a drone. One person was injured and ten private houses damaged.
In Novoselivka, two people were injured and a car was damaged as a result of a strike on a road. In Mykolaivka, a piece of infrastructure was damaged; in Oleksandrivka, an apartment block; in Raihorodok, four private homes; in Malotaranivka, a public bus; in Yasnohirka, a civilian car; and in Zaporo-Marivka, a church and a car.
Other
Dmytro Lubinets, Human Rights Commissioner of the Verkhovna Rada, reported that in four towns in the temporarily occupied Donetsk oblast, the russian occupying authorities plan to open ‘Cossack classes’ from the start of the new academic year.
Rescue workers evacuated an injured woman and a civilian man from Sviatohirsk. The operation took place over the past 24 hours.
Luhansk oblast
Combat operations
Russian forces carried out ten attacks on Ukrainian positions in Luhansk oblast. On four occasions, the enemy deployed unmanned aerial vehicles and FPV drones; on three occasions, they fired mortars; on two occasions, they used tube artillery; and they also deployed a mounted grenade launcher. In the Lyman sector, the Defence Forces repelled 15 enemy attempts to breach Ukrainian defences.
Occupation
The occupying authorities have announced the construction of a bypass road around the temporarily occupied Starobilsk, costing between rub 35 and 60bn. The 24-kilometre-long project is supposedly intended to relieve the city of transit traffic, primarily military vehicles, and is scheduled for completion by 2031. At the same time, the scale of the funding raises the risk of large-scale embezzlement, and the project itself may remain merely on paper.
The so-called “lpr Ministry of Construction” has announced its intention to replace over 320 km of utility networks by 2026. Previously, the occupying authority had cited other figures — ranging from plans to upgrade 900 km of water mains by 2030 to claims that 800 km of networks had allegedly already been laid since 2022. Despite regular reports and changing statistics, large-scale modernisation of the utility networks has not actually begun, and residents of the occupied Luhansk oblast continue to suffer from breakdowns and disruptions to water and heating supplies.
What is happening now in the north of Ukraine
Kyiv oblast
According to Oleksandr Pashchynskyi, First Deputy Mayor of Irpin, The Irpin community has joined the roll-out of the pilot project “A Brother’s Shoulder” in Kyiv oblast. The city plans to set up mobile teams to carry out minor repairs in homes, fix faults, repair and replace plumbing fixtures, adjust windows and doors, carry out simple electrical work and help with other domestic issues.
Zhytomyr oblast
A drone operator training school has opened in Zhytomyr oblast. It was established on the initiative of the patriotic youth organisation “Centuria” and with the support of the 125th Heavy Mechanised Brigade. During the lessons, trainees gain theoretical knowledge about the unmanned aerial vehicles used by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, practise drone control skills on simulators and operate drones in open terrain.

Sumy oblast
Sumy Regional Military Administration reported that the enemy has significantly intensified its attacks on Sumy, using guided aerial bombs, strike UAVs and FPV drones, including fibre-optic-controlled drones. Since the beginning of June, 70 guided aerial bomb strikes have been recorded on Sumy, compared with just four during the previous five months of the year. Since May, the enemy has also carried out more than 50 attacks using fibre-optic-controlled FPV drones.
The Regional Military Administration informed that seven people, including four children, were injured when a russian jet-powered UAV struck near an apartment building in Sumy on the evening of 20 July. An eight-year-old boy and a 16-year-old girl are receiving medical treatment in hospital. The enemy carried out three strikes on residential areas of the city. One of the attacks caused a large fire on the grounds of a shopping centre. Emergency response efforts have been complicated by repeated russian strikes.
Oleh Hryhorov, Head of the Regional Military Administration, said that russian attacks on Sumy on the evening of 20 July damaged apartment buildings, non-residential buildings and petrol stations, while a shopping centre was destroyed. During the emergency response, the enemy launched a repeat strike targeting State Emergency Service personnel, destroying a State Emergency Service vehicle.
According to the Regional Military Administration, from the morning of 20 July to the morning of 21 July 2026, russian forces carried out nearly 60 attacks on 31 settlements across 13 territorial communities in the oblast. The highest number of attacks was recorded in Sumy and Shostka regions. The enemy used mortars, artillery, multiple launch rocket systems, FPV drones, UAVs and guided aerial bombs. Air raid alerts were in effect in the oblast for 22 hours and 55 minutes over the 24-hour period.
The Regional Military Administration reported that, as of the morning of 21 July, 10 civilians had been injured in enemy attacks across Sumy oblast over the previous day. Destruction and damage were also recorded:
▪️ In Sumy community, six people, including four children, were injured in a UAV strike. Civilian infrastructure facilities, shopping centre premises, apartment buildings, a non-residential building and vehicles were damaged.
▪️ In Seredyna-Buda community, three people were injured in a russian drone strike. A private residential house was destroyed.
▪️ In Bilopillia community, an 88-year-old man was injured in a russian UAV strike. Private residential houses were damaged.
▪️ In Berezivka community, a private residential house, an outbuilding, a civilian infrastructure facility and a passenger car were damaged.
▪️ In Velyka Pysarivka community, a shop was damaged.
▪️ In Romny community, a civilian infrastructure facility was damaged.
▪️ In Nedryhailiv community, non-residential premises and a civilian infrastructure facility were damaged.
A 48-year-old woman sought medical treatment for injuries sustained in a mortar attack on Seredyna-Buda community on 19 July, while a 70-year-old man sought medical assistance after being injured in a russian drone strike on Nova Slobidka community on the same day.
Residential houses, outbuildings and property previously damaged in earlier attacks were also recorded in Seredyna-Buda, Hlukhiv, Esman, Shalyhyne and Znob-Novhorodske communities. Civilian infrastructure facilities previously damaged in earlier attacks were also recorded in Znob-Novhorodske and Esman communities.
Over the past 24 hours, local authorities, together with units of the State Emergency Service, the National Police and non-governmental organisations, evacuated 17 people from border communities.
The National Police announced that a 70-year-old resident of Mykolaivska community in the border area of Sumy oblast, who was suspected of having suffered a stroke, was evacuated. Due to constant russian shelling, an emergency medical team was unable to reach him, so he was transported from the dangerous area to a location where medics were waiting. The same day, five more residents were evacuated from Buryn community: women aged 66, 65, 62 and 46, as well as a 70-year-old man.
Chernihiv oblast
Viacheslav Chaus, Head of the Regional Military Administration, reported that on 20 July, russian forces attacked Chernihiv oblast by 17 drones. Twelve of them were shot down and neutralised by air defence forces.
On the morning of 21 July, the enemy struck an administrative building in central Chernihiv by a UAV. A nearby higher education institution was also damaged. A 76-year-old woman was injured in the attack.
Chernihiv oblast Police informed that at around 4am on 21 July, the enemy attacked Novhorod-Siverskyi. A residential house caught fire after being hit. According to Mayor Liudmyla Tkachenko, russians attacked the town by jet-powered Shahed UAVs. The house was destroyed.
According to Chernihiv Border Guard Detachment, on 20 July, russian forces attacked three border communities in Chernihiv oblast: Semenivka, Snovsk and Horodnia. The enemy carried out mortar attacks (1 explosion), tube artillery strikes (14 explosions), FPV drone attacks (7 explosions), and dropped an explosive device from a UAV (1 explosion). A total of seven settlements came under enemy fire.
The State Environmental Inspectorate of Chernihiv oblast reported that land contamination caused by a russian UAV attack on Chernihiv in late June 2026 resulted in environmental damage estimated at more than UAH 2m. The drone strike destroyed private buildings and structures, while the land was contaminated with concrete, brick, timber, glass, plastic, metal and other construction debris. Specialists classified the waste as non-hazardous.
Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine
Vinnytsia oblast
Mayor Serhii Morhunov reported that Vinnytsia oblast delivered 400 FPV drones and 6 Matrice 4E drones to 2 military units: the 131st Separate Reconnaissance Battalion named after Colonel Yevhen Konovalets and the 18th Sloviansk Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine. UAVs remain one of the key tools on the frontline. They help save the lives of Ukrainian defenders, increase the precision of combat missions and strengthen the defence capabilities of military units. Therefore, the procurement and transfer of drones is carried out on a systematic basis.
Dnipropetrovsk oblast
Synelnykove region. 2 people were killed in Mykolaivka community. The occupiers struck a vehicle by an FPV drone.
Nikopol region. The enemy attacked the regional centre, Chervonohryhorivka, Pokrovske rural, Marhanets and Myrove communities by drones. A wheat field caught fire. A truck, infrastructure and a greenhouse were damaged.
One more house was found to have been damaged as a result of yesterday’s attacks.
Nikopol region. 5 men were injured. They received the necessary medical assistance. The occupiers shelled the regional centre, Marhanets, Chervonohryhorivka, Pokrovske rural and Pokrovske urban communities by artillery and drones. Fires broke out. An apartment building, a private house, a cafe, 3 vehicles and infrastructure were damaged.
Synelnykove region. Pokrovske community was attacked by FPV drones. Fires broke out. A private house was damaged.
Kirovohrad oblast
Residents of Kropyvnytskyi paid tribute to fallen defenders.
Oleksandr Parkhomenko was killed on 2 July 2026, near Danylivka village in Synelnykove region, Dnipropetrovsk oblast.
Viktor Huraliuk was killed on 3 May 2025, while carrying out a combat mission near Oleksandropil village in Kramatorsk region, Donetsk oblast. He had been considered missing in action for more than a year. His death was confirmed by DNA analysis.
Also, residents of Kirovohrad oblast paid tribute to 2 defenders. Ihor Zelenhur in Pryiutivka community and Oleksandr Anhelutsa in Dmytrivka and Znamianka communities.
Ihor Zelenhur was killed on 14 July 2026, in Synelnykove region, Dnipropetrovsk oblast.
Oleksandr Anhelutsa was killed on 14 July 2026, in Synelnykove region, Dnipropetrovsk oblast.
Poltava oblast
Residents of Poltava oblast paid tribute to fallen servicemen Serhii Kopychko, Viktor Medvedkin and Anatolii Drozd.
Serhii Kopychko was killed on 2 July 2026, in battle against the russian occupiers near Yasenove settlement, Donetsk oblast.
Viktor Medvedkin was killed on 23 July 2024, while carrying out a combat mission near Toretsk settlement, Donetsk oblast.
Anatolii Drozd was killed on 8 February 2025, while carrying out a combat mission near Zelenivka settlement, Donetsk oblast.
A memorial ceremony was held in Poltava for 2 servicemen, Anton Tsypukov and Yevhen Kriuchkov.
Anton Tsypukov was killed on 13 July 2026, in Sumy oblast.
Yevhen Kriuchkov was killed on 10 July 2026, in Chernihiv oblast.
In Kremenchuk, residents welcomed serviceman Eduard Olovianov, who had been released from russian captivity. After spending more than 2 and a half years in captivity, Eduard returned to Ukraine. He served in the infantry and was released during a prisoner exchange on 5 June.
Kateryna Yamshchykova, Secretary of the Poltava City Council reported that a russian UAV fell in an open area within one of the starosta districts. Also, drone debris damaged the roof of a private house in Poltava.
Cherkasy oblast
Residents of Cherkasy paid tribute to tank platoon commander Artem Salyvonchyk. The defender was wounded in Zaporizhzhia oblast as a result of a russian drone strike. He died in hospital on 10 July.
A memorial ceremony was held in Cherkasy oblast for 3 defenders: Artem Maidaniuk, Ihor Kryvenko and Vitalii Pivtoratskyi.
Artem Maidaniuk was killed on 9 July. Contact with him was lost while he was carrying out a combat mission.
In October 2023, Senior Soldier Ihor Kryvenko, whose call sign was Nimets (“German”), sustained severe injuries near Topoli settlement. He underwent treatment and rehabilitation and was awaiting 2 more operations. However, on 18 July, a fire broke out in the house where Ihor was living and he died as a result.
Vitalii Pivtoratskyi was killed on 5 February 2025, while carrying out a combat mission near Pohrebky settlement in kursk oblast. His family received official confirmation of his death only on 15 July 2026.
Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine
Zaporizhzhia oblast
Ivan Fedorov, Head of Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, reported that today, russian forces struck Zaporizhzhia. As a result of the shelling, warehouse facilities caught fire. A man was injured in the attack.
Today, the russian forces attacked Zaporizhzhia. Non-residential buildings and vehicles were damaged. A 67-year-old woman and 2 men aged 62 and 49 were killed, while 13 people were injured. 3 KABs struck residential neighbourhoods. 30 vehicles were destroyed or damaged.
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, on 20 July, the Ukrainian Defence Forces repelled 16 russian attacks in Huliaipole and Orikhiv regions. The enemy attacked in the directions of Verkhnia Tersa, Vozdvyzhivka, Tsvitkove, Kosivtseve, Hirke, Mali Shcherbaky and Bilohiria.
Ivan Fedorov, Head of the RMA, stated that on 20 July, 1 person was killed and 16 injured as a result of russian strikes on Zaporizhzhia and Zaporizhzhia oblast. In total, over the past day, russian forces launched 1,028 strikes on 54 settlements across the oblast. They used UAVs of various types most extensively, primarily FPV drones, carrying out more than 700 attacks.
Mykolaiv oblast
Based on the information provided by Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, on 20 July, 2 women were injured as a result of russian attacks. The russian military attacked the oblast by Shahed and FPV drones. Administrative buildings, a house, a bank, power lines and other infrastructure were damaged.
Odesa oblast
Oleh Kiper, Head of Odesa RMA, informed that a russian attack caused damage to the water supply network in Chornomorsk. As a result, water supply in the city has been temporarily suspended.
The russian military launched a combined missile and drone strike on Odesa oblast. Civilian infrastructure was damaged in the central part of Odesa, including residential buildings and public institutions. A 17-year-old boy and a 23-year-old woman were injured. A 38-year-old man and a 19-year-old woman received medical assistance at the scene.
Referring to Odesa CMA, last night, the russian military attacked infrastructure in Odesa. There were no injuries or casualties reported.
Kherson oblast
Relying on the information provided by Kherson RMA, at approximately 5:40pm, a man was injured in Dniprovskyi district of Kherson after an explosive device detonated. The 39-year-old resident was hospitalised with blast injuries, a concussion and shrapnel wounds to his torso and limbs.
At approximately 12:20pm, russian forces once again attempted to attack a vehicle by a drone in Korabelnyi district of Kherson. A 43-year-old man was injured when the drone struck near the vehicle. He sustained blast injuries and a shrapnel wound to his shoulder.
At approximately 8:15am, russian forces attacked a man by a drone in Dniprovskyi district of Kherson. The 55-year-old resident sustained shrapnel wounds to his arms and legs, a concussion, blast injuries and a closed traumatic brain injury.
At around 7:45am, russian forces attacked a vehicle by an FPV drone in Tsentralnyi district of Kherson. A woman sustained injuries incompatible with life as a result of the strike. The identity of the deceased is currently being established.
Today at around 6:30am, a woman was injured in a russian drone attack in Korabelnyi district of Kherson. The 58-year-old resident, who was travelling in a vehicle at the time of the strike, was diagnosed with blast injuries and a concussion.
A resident of Molodizhne was attacked by a russian UAV overnight. The 72-year-old woman was diagnosed with blast injuries and a concussion.
Yesterday, a doctor was injured as a result of russian shelling of a healthcare facility in Kherson. The 41-year-old man was diagnosed with a concussion, blast injuries and a closed traumatic brain injury.
Yesterday afternoon, russian forces attacked a vehicle by a drone in Korabelnyi district of Kherson. A 62-year-old woman and a 71-year-old man sustained blast injuries and concussions.
Latest news for today in the western regions of Ukraine
Volyn oblast
A large-scale charity fair in support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was held in the village of Ratne. Thanks to the activity of local residents, volunteers, and businesses, almost UAH 250,000 was raised during the event.
Zakarpattia oblast
Uzhhorod allocated another UAH 5.5m to support the defenders. UAH 2.5m was allocated additionally and another UAH 3m was allocated through the redistribution of budget funds.
Ivano-Frankivsk oblast
The 6th job fair was held in Ivano-Frankivsk, where 68 employers presented almost 180 current vacancies. 12 public and partner organizations also presented their opportunities.
Lviv oblast
On 28 July the opening of the photo exhibition Not Born for War will take place in Lviv, dedicated to the servicemen of the 82nd Separate Bukovina Airborne Assault Brigade who were killed, are in captivity or are missing in action. The exhibition features photographs and personal stories of Defenders and their families.
Rivne oblast
In Rivne oblast, 99 veterans who have completely or partially lost their sight as a result of war will receive a one-time cash grant to purchase special adaptive devices. As part of a joint project of the Ministry of Veterans Affairs and the Ukrainian Red Cross, they will receive up to UAH 95,000 each for the purchase of special adaptive devices.
Ternopil oblast
In Ternopil, veterans and servicemen can receive free dental treatment, prosthetics and implants at the city dental clinic. In the 1st half of the year alone, 36 defenders took advantage of the opportunity for free implants.
Khmelnytskyi oblast
For the 5th year in a row, the military-patriotic camp Podilska Sich has been operating in Khmelnytskyi community. Here, boys and girls aged 9 to 17 attend school, study technology, play sports and learn the history of Ukraine. This year, the camp has 2 shifts and over 200 children.
Chernivtsi oblast
10 Bukovina entrepreneurs will receive UAH 2.5m under the Own Business program. The grants will create 11 new jobs in areas ranging from agrotechnology to public catering.
