It has been the 644th day of the Ukrainian resistance to the russian military aggression. 

What happened in Ukraine today:

Here is operational information of the General Staff as of 6 pm:   

There were 73 combat engagements. The enemy launched a total of 3 missile strikes, 13 air strikes, 8 MLRS attacks at the positions of Ukrainian troops and various settlements. The russian terrorist attacks have resulted in civilian casualties and injuries. Private residential buildings as well as other civilian infrastructure were destroyed and damaged.

Moreover, the russian federation launched another attack on Ukraine with 1 Kh-31 guided missile and 2 S-300 antiaircraft missiles. The strikes targeted civilian infrastructure.

The operational situation in eastern and southern Ukraine remains difficult.

Towards Volyn and Polissia, there were no significant changes and no signs of formation of an offensive group. Certain units of the armed forces of belarus continue their missions in the areas bordering Ukraine.

Towards Siversk and Sloboda, they maintain military presence in the areas of russia bordering Ukraine. The enemy continues its sabotage and reconnaissance activities, shelling Ukrainian settlements from the territory of russia and increases the density of minefields along the state border of Ukraine. Around 10 settlements came under enemy artillery and mortar fire, including Znob-Trubchevska, Kliusy (Sumy oblast), Veterynarne, Vovchansk, Hatyshche, Mala Vovcha (Kharkiv oblast).

Towards Kupiansk, the enemy conducted unsuccessful assault operations in the vicinity of Synkivka, northeast of Petropavlivka (Kharkiv oblast), and Stelmakhivka (Luhansk oblast). Ukrainian defenders repelled 6 attacks. They launched air strikes near Synkivka, Petropavlivka, Kupiansk, Kurylivka (Kharkiv oblast). The invaders fired from artillery and mortar at around 10x settlements, including Dvorichna, Synkivka, Petropavlivka, Ivanivka, Berestove (Kharkiv oblast).

Towards Lyman, Ukrainian defenders repelled 15 enemy attacks in the vicinity of Serebrianske forestry (Luhansk oblast), Torske, east of Terny, Yampolivka (Donetsk oblast). The occupiers fired front artillery and mortars at around 10 settlements, including Nevske, Bilohorivka (Luhansk oblast), Serebrianka, Verkhniokamianske, Spirne, Rozdolivka (Donetsk oblast).

Towards Bakhmut, the occupiers made unsuccessful assaults near Ivanivske and Andriivka (Donetsk oblast). More than 10 settlements, including Chasiv Yar, Markove, Bohdanivka, Ivanivske, Klischiivka, New York (Donetsk oblast), came under artillery and mortar fire.

Towards Avdiivka, the invaders made assaults with air support near Stepove, Novokalynove, east of Novobakhmutivka, Avdiivka, south of Tonenke, Sjeverne, Pervomaiske (Donetsk oblast), to no success. Ukrainian defenders repelled 20 attacks in the area. The enemy fired artillery and mortars at around 15 settlements, including Oleksandropil, Berdychi, Stepove, Avdiivka, Pervomaiske (Donetsk oblast).

Towards Mariinka, the invaders made assaults with air support in the vicinity of Novomykhailivka (Donetsk oblast), where Ukrainian defenders repelled 6x attacks. Around 10 settlements, including Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, Mariinka, Novomykhailivka, Pobjeda (Donetsk oblast) were under the occupiers’ artillery and mortar fire.

Towards Shakhtarsk, the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensives south of Prechystivka (Donetsk oblast), where Ukrainian defenders repelled 2 attacks. The invaders launched an air strike near Novoukrainka (Donetsk oblast). Around 10 settlements, including Vuhledar, Vodyane, Prechystivka, Zolota Nyva, Urozhaine (Donetsk oblast), were shelled from artillery and mortar.

Towards Zaporizhzhia, the enemy made 5 attempts to regain lost ground in the vicinity of Robotyne (Zaporizhzhia oblast), to no success. Also, Ukrainian defenders repelled 5 attacks west of Verbove (Zaporizhzhia oblast). More than 20 settlements, including Levadne, Charivne, Mala Tokmachka, Robotyne, Mali Scherbaky, Kamianske (Zaporizhzhia oblast), came under artillery and mortar fire.

Towards Kherson, the enemy fired artillery at the city of Kherson and the settlement of Tiahynka (Kherson oblast).

Ukrainian Armed Forces continue to hold their ground on the left bank of the Dnipro River (Kherson oblast) and inflict fire on the enemy.

Ukrainian Air Forces launched 2 strikes on the buildup of troops, weapons and military equipment, and 2 strikes on air defense systems of the occupiers.

Ukrainian missile troops hit 3 command posts, 2 ammunition depots, 1 buildup of troops, weapons and military equipment of the russian invaders.


Zelensky signed the law on the 2024 state budget.  Revenues in the state budget for 2024 are set at the level of 1.768 trillion UAH, budget expenditures – 3.35 trillion UAH, the deficit of the state budget will amount to 1.57 trillion UAH, external borrowings will reach 41 billion dollars. The real GDP is expected to be 4.6%, the inflation rate – at 9.7%, the average hryvnia exchange rate for the year- at 40.7 UAH per dollar.  The budget includes indexation of pensions and an increase in the minimum wage. The government has pledged UAH 40 billion for economic recovery support programs and assistance programs for Ukrainian businesses.

The Ministry of Defense and the Armed Forces have introduced a number of NATO standards.  The Ministry of Defense emphasized that 280 NATO standards had been implemented: 174 are within the scope of the Ukraine-NATO partnership goals (priority NATO standards) and 106 are so-called “initiative” ones implemented by Ukraine outside of this program.  NATO has 1135 standards.  That is, almost a quarter of the total number (24.6%) has already been implemented in the Ministry of Defense and the Armed Forces.

Russians plan to take 10,000 children from TOT to Moscow for VDNG in winter.  Everyone needs to get to Rostov at their own expense. There is a train waiting for children from four occupied regions. First comers   can wait for a day.  Only dry rations are provided.  In addition, the government of the russian federation is going to make leaders collaborators in charge of the deficit in the budgets of the territories of Luhansk oblast occupied last year.

Recent war events in the east of Ukraine

Volodymyr Fito, Head of the public relations service of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, reported about melting snow that covers trenches in water and in the evening it all freezes.

Nevertheless, the Armed Forces of Ukraine repelled five attacks towards Kupiansk and four towards Lyman. The enemy launched eight air strikes and 18 kamikaze drones towards Ukrainian positions. The invaders made 620 attacks in a day.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine eliminated 212 russian servicemen and destroyed 43 pieces of enemy military equipment. Among them are one tank, two armoured personnel carriers, three BMP-2s, one BMP-3 and five MT-LBs.

Kharkiv oblast

Oleh Syniehubov, Head of Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, reported that the enemy used aircraft to shell settlements of Kharkiv, Chuhuiv and Kupiansk regions.

As a result of the UAV attack on Podoly, Kupiansk region, two private households and an educational institution were damaged.

As a result of a UAV strike on Kurylivka village, Kupiansk region, a private building was destroyed and 2 others damaged.

In Vovchansk, Chuhuiv region, massive artillery shelling damaged an administrative building, 2 supermarkets, 10 private garages, a residential building and other structures.

In addition, Kupiansk, Hraniv, Starytsia, Dvorichna and other settlements were under enemy attack.

Towards Kupiansk, the Armed Forces of Ukraine repelled five enemy attacks near Synkivka and Petropavlivka.

Pyrotechnics of the State Emergency Service examined more than 4.4 hectares of territory and defused 101 explosive ordnance.

Donetsk oblast

The press service of Donetsk police informed that 11 settlements were under enemy attack, specifically, Avdiivka, Kostiantynivka, Pokrovsk, Toretsk cities, Niu-York, Pivnichne, Shcherbynivka settlements, Berdychi, Izhevka, Novoukrainka, and Petrivka villages. 45 civilian objects were damaged, including 15 residential buildings, a pharmacy, businesses, garages and 23 cars.

According to Donetsk Regional Military Administration, towards Donetsk, Kurakhivka and the outskirts of Petrivka of Selydove community were attacked. In Avdiivka, an apartment building, a garage and a car were damaged.

Towards Horlivka, Toretsk, Pivnichne, Niu-York, Druzhba and Shcherbynivka of Toretsk community were targeted. The invaders shelled Toretsk with artillery and dropped two FAB-500 bombs. 7 people were injured in the community: 5 in Toretsk and 2 in Pivnichne. 12 buildings and 5 infrastructure facilities were damaged. Alao dussian troops shelled Kostiantynivka with Smerch multiple rocket launchers, damaging 3 private buildings, a garage and 15 cars. In Izhevka, 2 buildings were damaged. In Chasiv Yar community, 2 buildings and an industrial building were damaged. In Soledar community, Rozdolivka, Vasiukivka and Minkivka were shelled.

Luhansk oblast

According to Luhansk Regional Military Administration, due to the bad weather, russians cannot actively use bombers and helicopters. Focusing on artillery, they began to hit villages more precisely. For instance, 35 explosions were heard in Nevske yesterday after enemy shelling. There are still people in this village that have not yet agreed to evacuate. According to preliminary information, no one was injured. The enemy also opened fire on the territory of Serebrianka forest.

The invaders tried to advance towards both, Lyman and Kupiansk, but had no success. Yesterday, they attacked mainly Donetsk and Kharkiv oblasts.

Also russian government is going to make the collaborators responsible for the budget deficit in the territories occupied last year. They will be faced with a choice: to refuse grands from the new year or to take a personal commitment to reduce the gap between regional revenues and expenses.

If they do not fulfil these agreements, they will also be left without russian money, but later. The level of subsidisation reaches 95%.

The occupied regions have been tasked with sending 10,000 children to moscow to attend an exhibition of national economic achievements during the autumn and winter period. And after the first business trips, there are even fewer people who want to go. Everyone has to travel to rostov at their own expense. There is a train waiting there, one for children from the four occupied regions and it stays there until everyone has arrived. Those who arrived first can wait up to a day. The only food they have is rations. The same awaits on the opposite direction.

What is happening now in the north of Ukraine

Kyiv oblast

According to Kyiv RMA, On the evening of November 28, the enemy once again attacked Kyiv Oblast with attack drones. The air defence forces in the oblast performed well. There were no hits to critical infrastructure, no damage caused by falling debris, and no casualties.

Josep Borrell, EU High Representative, during a joint press conference with Dmytro Kuleba, Ukrainian Minister of Foreign Affairs, reported that a representative of the European External Action Service will visit Kyiv next week to present the EU’s efforts to provide Ukraine with long-term security commitments. 

Kyiv RMA reported that in Vasylkiv, a residential building that was heavily damaged during the full-scale invasion is being restored at the expense of the Fund for Elimination of the Consequences of Armed Aggression. This is a 60-apartment residential building that was home to 210 people before the war. Major repairs to the damaged structures are currently underway.

The award of the Blessed Martyr Omelian Kovch was presented in Kyiv. The ceremony took place at the National Museum of the Holodomor Genocide. This year’s laureates are Kateryna Polishchuk (“Ptashka”), a servicewoman of the National Guard of Ukraine, a paramedic and a defender of Mariupol; the Polish people represented by the President of the Republic of Poland, Andrzej Duda (the award will be presented separately); chaplain Serhii Dmytriiev (“Padre”); Said Ismahilov, Ukrainian Armed Forces serviceman, former imam; Yurii Lohaza, chaplain, priest of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church; Hennadii Mokhnenko, pastor, bishop of the Protestant Church of Ukraine.

A funeral ceremony was held in Kyiv for Serhii Pavlichenko, a political prisoner of the Yanukovych era. He was a member of the 78th Air Assault Forces regiment and died at the battlefield on November 18 near Verbove, Zaporizhzhia Oblast. The funeral service was held at St Michael’s Golden-Domed Cathedral. The hero will be buried at the Lukianivka military cemetery.

ArtHall D12 in the capital hosted the official opening of the We Have to Live charity music and poetry festival, which will run until December 7. During the first day of the festival, an exhibition of paintings A Thousand Love Stories. Paintings by Wives of Real Heroes was presented, in which women depicted personal stories related to their fallen loved ones. The works were created with the assistance of artist Oleh Yurov.

Zhytomyr oblast

According to Zhytomyr RMA, six projects are being implemented in the Zhytomyr Oblast with the money from the redistribution of subventions from the state budget. The allocated funds will be used to rebuild two hospitals and two schools damaged by the russians, equip a public safety centre, and develop project documentation for the construction of a dormitory for IDPs. 

The Zhytomyr City Council reported that for the sixth time, the Heroes Among Us volleyball competition among students was held in Zhytomyr in memory of Zhytomyr paratrooper Dmytro Ilnytskyi. The event was held at the sports complex of Polissia National University, where Dmytro studied.

Sumy oblast

According to the Sumy RMA, russian troops fired 3 times at the border areas and settlements of Sumy Oblast. Three communities in the oblast came under fire: Krasnopillia – 5 mortar attacks, Druzhbivka – 2 artillery strikes, 3 mines were dropped on the territory of Znob-Novhorodske community.

Yesterday, the russians fired 22 times at the border areas – 106 attacks were made from various types of weapons. The Krasnopillia, Yunakivka, Bilopillia, Khotin, Velyka Pysarivka, Esman, Seredyna-Buda, and Svesa communities were attacked.

On November 28, russian terrorists shelled residential buildings in the town of Seredyna-Buda, Shostka district, with multiple rocket launchers. As a result of the shelling, 3 people were injured and 3 were killed, including a 7-year-old girl who died in hospital from her injuries. The residential area suffered significant destruction. On November 29, a one-day mourning period was declared in Shostka district for the victims of Seredyna-Buda.

In Sumy Oblast, almost 5,000 people are without electricity due to russian shelling. These are 55 settlements in the Hlukhiv, Seredyna-Buda, Putivl, Sumy, Krasnopillia, Bilopillia, Lebedyn, and Velyka Pysarivka communities. Power engineers are working to restore electricity to the communities.

According to the Sumy Regional Prosecutor’s Office, during the occupation of Sumy Oblast in 2022, the russian invaders illegally detained 140 people. More than 30 local residents were subjected to torture, abuse and ill-treatment. 18 criminal proceedings have been initiated over the torture of civilians by russian military personnel in Sumy Oblast.

Chernihiv oblast

According to the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, russians shelled the border of Chernihiv Oblast 3 times. There were 64 mortar attacks. Novhorod-Siverskyi community (18 attacks towards Hremiach) and Snovsk community (46 attacks towards Kliusy and Yeline).

Oleksandr Lomako, acting mayor of Chernihiv, reported that in a modular town built in Chernihiv for people who lost their homes due to the hostilities, 32 out of 112 apartments remain vacant. The modular town on Drozd Street was built with co-financing from the city budget and the Red Cross. There are also 12 vacant apartments in modular houses donated by Latvians.

According to Oleksandr Lomako, acting mayor of Chernihiv, the city will receive 10 buses from Latvia. The vehicles were filled with humanitarian aid by residents and business owners of Riga. Equipment for a maternity hospital worth 15,000 euros has already been delivered from Latvia. And recently, the city received a garbage truck from Aachen (Germany).

Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine

Dnipropetrovsk oblast

8 enemy Shaheds were shot down over the oblast in Pavlohrad, Novomoskovsk, Kryvyi Rih and Dnipro districts. At night the enemy fired artillery at Nikopol. There were no casualties.

During the day the enemy attacked Nikopol district 4 times. Fired a dozen artillery shells on Marhanets community and used 3 kamikaze drones on Nikopol. A private house was damaged in the city. Fortunately no one was injured.

Vinnytsia oblast

Since the beginning of the year more than 1,600 people have received psychological support from the psychologists of the city center of social services. Specialists provide assistance and improve the mental state of Vinnytsia residents, IDPs, as well as defenders. Since the beginning of 2023 together with psychologists-volunteers they have provided consultations to 1,607 people.

Reintegration of war veterans and their families through the creation of educational opportunities project is being implemented in Vinnytsia. It provides free training courses, career support and the opportunity to receive grant support for starting their own business. It is implemented by the Podillia-Society Center public organization together with the Veteran Space Vinnytsia Analytical and Educational Center in partnership with DVV International in Ukraine and with the financial support of the Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Germany.

Kirovohrad oblast

One million UAH is collected in Kropyvnytskyi to warm the defenders on the front line. The money will be used to sew sleeping bags that will be sent to the military in the zone of active hostilities. The Warm Ukrainian Front charity campaign was started last year and it was resumed after the cold weather. In total, they plan to produce half a thousand sleeping bags. Last year 230 were sent to the contact line. 

Poltava oblast

Volunteers from Poltava are collecting winter outerwear, sneakers and boots for the military who are in the hospital. Men’s winter jackets, boots and sneakers can be brought to two locations in Poltava region. The vast majority of boys have clothes that their parents, relatives or friends sent to them. But there are soldiers who are in a serious condition and can not speak, have a memory loss and no relatives.

Cherkasy oblast

Cherkasy volunteer Anna Sakun together with her husband organized the collection of medicines for defenders. Anna is constantly in touch with doctors from Kherson oblast, so she knows the defenders needs. The priority now is not only anti-cold drugs, but also anti-contusion drugs. Cherkasy enterprises help with lots of donations. Required medicine  is purchased with these donations.

Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine

Zaporizhzhia oblast

On November 28, the russian forces executed 153 strikes across 26 populated areas in the Zaporizhzhia oblast. Among these, 111 artillery bombardments targeted specific zones within towns like Orihove, Bilohirya, Zatyshshya, Novoselivka, Charyvne, Novoandriyivka, Stepnohirsk, Kamianske, Pyatyhatky, Lobkove, Plavni, and other towns on the front line. The aggressors carried out 2 missile strikes on Zaporizhzhia, 30 UAV attacks on Hulyaipole, Novodanylivka, Novodarivka, Malynivka, Mala Tokmachka, Levadne, Poltavka, Stepnohirsk, and Mali Shcherbaky, as well as 8 MLRS shelling incidents targeting Zaliznychne, Mala Tokmachka, Verkhnia Tersa, and Robotyne. Moreover, they engaged in precise aviation bombing on Robotyne and Novodarivka. Reports have confirmed 10 incidents involving the destruction of residential buildings and infrastructure objects.

Following the missile strike on Zaporizhzhia, a 25-year-old woman and a 39-year-old man sustained injuries. Additionally, in Stepnohirsk, two men aged 38 and 58 suffered injuries. Tragically, the attack by an enemy kamikaze-drone resulted in the loss of life of a 67-year-old resident of Stepnohirsk.

Mykolaiv oblast

Vitaliy Kim, the Head of the Mykolaiv RMA reported that on November 28, saw hostile shelling affecting the Kutsurub community at 10:22, 12:03, 12:12, and 12:31. This resulted in damage to transmission supports and high-voltage cables between the villages of Dniprovsk and Solonchaky. No casualties were reported. In addition, the water area of Ochakiv community experienced artillery fire at 12:03 and 12:55 without any casualties recorded. Meanwhile, on November 29 within the Mykolaiv oblast, the Air Defense Forces successfully destroyed two controlled aviation missiles X-59, two Shahed-136/131 strike UAVs, and one reconnaissance UAV Merlin-VR.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky undertook visits to the Mykolaiv and Kherson oblasts on November 29, following his trip to Odesa. During his visit, he discussed the reconstruction of Mykolaiv with Denmark’s support and the establishment of shelters in Kherson. The presidential press service provided this information, highlighting Zelensky’s participation in the Embassy of Denmark’s office presentation in Mykolaiv and the representation of the Danish company Bright Bird. Bright Bird specialises in risk management and facilitating connections for Danish companies in Ukraine. Additionally, the President acquainted himself with the operations of the Regional Office of International Cooperation under the Mykolaiv RMA during his visit to the Mykolaiv oblast.

Odesa oblast

On November 29, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky visited the Odesa oblast, where he received briefings from military personnel and engaged in discussions regarding the region’s defense. The meeting encompassed discussions on the Black Sea situation, anti-mine strategies, and safeguarding the “grain corridor.” Furthermore, the President toured the Regional Center for Internally Displaced Persons’ Aid in Odesa, holding meetings with residents, predominantly from Kherson, and emphasizing the importance of prioritizing the restoration of normalcy in their lives.

Kherson oblast

On November 29, around 4:00 p.m., the russian forces shelled the outskirts of Kherson from the temporarily occupied left bank, resulting in the death of a 68-year-old man.

On November 28y, the enemy carried out 128 bombardments, firing 778 shells from mortars, artillery, “Grads,” tanks, UAVs, and aircraft. In the city of Kherson, the adversary launched 21 shells, causing injuries to four individuals due to russian aggression.

Continuing to use FPV drones, the enemy attacked right-bank populated areas 4 times, dropping 21 fragmentation shells from various types of UAVs. These incidents were recorded in Mykhaylivka, Beryslav, Respublikantsi, Kachkarivtsi, Krupytsi, Antonivtsi, Novoberislavi, and Shlyakhove.

Occupiers executed an aviation strike on Beryslav, dropping guided bombs on the premises of one of the enterprises, damaging several buildings. Additionally, the russian forces attacked Zmiyivka and Kozatske with CABs. In Zmiyivka, the rural council building was destroyed by the aerial strike, but there were no civilian casualties. Dudchany, Tomarine, Zolota Balka, and Lvove were under artillery shelling. In Dudchany, a woman was injured when a projectile hit her house. The police have opened 15 criminal cases related to military crimes committed by russian forces in Kherson oblast.

Southern Defense Forces continue to fulfill their fire tasks. On November 28, the enemy lost 35 occupiers, one Buk-M3 anti-aircraft missile system, one Polye-21 radio-electronic warfare station, one set of antenna systems for radio-electronic warfare stations, seven cannons, one mortar, eight units of armored vehicles, two reconnaissance UAVs (“Merlin”, “Orlan-10”), one strike UAV of the “Lancet” type, and one boat. Additionally, three observation posts and one UAV control point were destroyed.

On November 28 following information provided by the underground and concerned local residents, a strike was carried out on the building where occupiers were holding a meeting in the temporarily occupied village of Yuvileine in the Kherson oblast. As a result, five high-ranking officials are known to have been killed due to these successful actions.

In the temporarily occupied region of Krinok, located in the Kherson oblast, a unit from the 810th separate marine brigade of the russian occupation forces refused to follow orders to assault the positions held by the Ukrainian Defense Forces. The russian militants justified their refusal by citing the absence of artillery coordination, adverse weather conditions, and a lack of reconnaissance data. Additionally, the mining obstacles set up by the russian invaders further complicated their offensive. Approximately 50 members of the russian 810th marine brigade have been lost in the past month due to mine explosions.

In the temporarily occupied area of Pischanyvka in the Kherson oblast, over the last week, the 28th motorized rifle regiment of the 70th motorized rifle division, part of the 18th army in the Southern military district of the russian occupation forces, incurred a loss of 30 occupiers due to artillery strikes and drone attacks. This russian occupation unit has been constantly shifting its location around the populated area.

However, until January 2024, the russian occupants’ command has prohibited rotations, vacations, and relocation from their positions, excluding support units. It is noteworthy that the primary supply bases are situated in the temporarily occupied area of Perevalne in Crimea. Provisions are distributed for only a few days, and creating reserves at these locations is not feasible due to the high probability of being targeted by the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

The village of Lvove in the Beryslav district has received stoves from charitable donors. Due to intense shelling, the residents are compelled to live without electricity and heating. The Ukrainian Red Cross provided the village with a humanitarian consignment of 60 stoves, which will assist families in need within the community, ensuring they remain warm during the winter.

The Dariivka community has received a new fire truck, fully equipped for firefighting and emergency situations.

“Doctors Without Borders” has revisited the Kherson oblast. Over a period of five days, medical personnel delivered approximately 100 outpatient consultations and crucial psychological assistance to residents of Krasnoliubetske, Taras Shevchenko, Inhulka, Skhidne, Chaikyne, Novopoltavka, and Blahodativka. Local residents had access to consultations with therapists, psychologists, health promoters, and gynecologists.

Volyn oblast

Lutsk City Council has earmarked at least UAH 500 mln for the year 2024 to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine. These funds from the community budget will be used to purchase drones, thermal imagers, starlinks, charging stations, optical sights, etc.

Zakarpattia oblast

Under the coordination of the RMA, the Dorcas Ukraine CF plans to implement the MHpss psychosocial assistance project in Zakarpattia. This kind of support is planned to cover over 2K IDPs and local residents in different parts of the region next year. The communities of Berehiv, Mukachiv and Uzhhorod districts will become pilots.

Ivano-Frankivsk oblast

Ivano-Frankivsk City Council reported that in Vovchynka, 163 trees were planted in memory of fallen Heroes. 

Lviv oblast

Drohobychvodokanal received a sewage machine from the water supply company of Kraków, Poland.

The RMA reported that the Osteuropahilfe Starnberg, Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen und München e.V. German organization and the Help without Borders. Brody CF sent 5 kW generators to educational institutions of Pidkamin community.

Boryslav community implements the The Path of Resilience: Increasing the Resilience of Ukrainians by Strengthening the Opportunities for Psychosocial Support of Veterans project.It provides for the creation of a veteran space on the basis of the Kameniar public space and the holding of social cohesion events. For this, a universal Ecoflow charging station with four solar panels and a cooler for heating and cooling water have already been purchased with grant funds. Later, computer equipment and a lift for wheelchairs will be purchased.

In Mykolaiv, the Center for the provision of administrative services became operational. The building was overhauled, furniture and computer equipment were purchased, and informational materials were installed. Professional machinery and equipment were brought in thanks to the cooperation of Lviv RMA and UNDP in Lviv oblast.

At the Western Ukrainian Children’s Specialized Medical Center, Hakan Ahir, world-famous surgeon from Turkey, performs operations and consults. The specialist will stay here for 5 days. During this time, together with medics of the hospital, they plan to perform 25 reconstructive operations.

Rivne oblast

20% of residents of Rivne oblast experienced traumatic experiences related to the war. Most people are still not ready to talk to professionals about the deterioration of their mental health, but they already recognize changes in their thoughts and behavior. Such results of the All-Ukrainian survey among providers and recipients of mental health services were made public during an extended meeting of the Interdepartmental Coordination Council on Mental Health Protection and the Provision of Psychological Assistance to Persons Victims of Russia’s Armed Aggression Against Ukraine.

Ternopil oblast

Ternopil RMA held a meeting with Vitalii Zapuhliak, Honorary Consul of the Republic of Croatia in western Ukraine, and the delegation of the Republic of Croatia. They discussed topical issues of post-war reconstruction of Ukraine, integration into the EU and closer cooperation with European countries.

At the request of one of the military units, Ternopil City Council sent 5 Spaceray 4000 anti-aircraft searchlights, oil, antifreeze, muffler and oil filters to the defenders.

Khmelnytskyi oblast

At night, during another enemy attack, air defense forces worked in the oblast. There was no information about the victims or the injured. At the same time, information was received that as a result of the attack in Shepetiv region, the roof, windows and doors of the premises of the agricultural enterprise were damaged. All relevant services are working.

Khmelnytskyi City Council reported that one of the divisions of the Main Directorate of Intelligence received 40 FPV drones manufactured by one of Khmelnytskyi’s utility companies with the help of active volunteers. All of them have been tested by fighters and are ready for work.

Chernivtsi oblast

Chernivtsi City Council held a meeting with Anica Dzamich, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Croatia to Ukraine. The history of Croatia is very similar to that of Ukraine. That is why they discussed possibilities of applying the military and post-war experience of the Republic of Croatia, as well as further economic and cultural cooperation.

The EU will allocate additional funds for the training of the Ukrainian military. Funding will increase by EUR 194 mln to a total of EUR 255 mln. Funds are allocated through the European Peace Fund.

Dmytro Kuleba, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, stated that the European Union sent Ukraine about 300K of the promised million shells.

Czech deputies approved the continuation of Ukrainian military training in 2024. According to Yana Chernokhova, Defense Minister, about 3,5 Ukrainian soldiers have been trained in the Czech Republic, and about 500 more have been trained by Czech instructors in Poland,.

The European Commission agreed to sanctions on the supply of diamonds from moscow. The ban will be imposed on trade in diamonds originating in russia (effective January 1, 2024), transported in transit or exported from russia, as well as on diamonds processed in 3rd countries and diamond jewellery (effective March until September 2024).

Roberta Metsola, President of the European Parliament, stated that the leadership of the European Parliament supported the negotiations on Ukraine’s accession to the EU.

Jens Stoltenberg, Secretary General of the Alliance, announced that Ukraine has agreed with its allies on a program to meet NATO‘s requirements for further membership in the Alliance. It includes energy security, innovation and military interoperability. These are the reforms required by the Alliance, which bring Ukraine closer to membership.

A meeting with military attachés within the framework of the IT coalition took place in Kyiv. Representatives of over 30 member countries of the Contact Group on Defense of Ukraine took part in the event.

Kurt Volker, former US ambassador to NATO, former US representative to Ukraine, during a conference in the European Parliament stated that Ukraine’s rapid membership in NATO will make it pointless for putin to continue the war.

Steven Lecce, Minister of Education, announced that the Government of the Province of Ontario has decided to include the study of the Holodomor of 1932-1933 in the Canadian history curriculum for the 10th grade from September 2025. Canada was the 1st country in the world to recognize the Holodomor as a genocide of Ukrainians in 2008.
