It has been the 490 th day of the Ukrainian resistance to the russian military aggression. 

What happened in Ukraine today:

Here is operational information of the General Staff as of 6 pm:   

The russian federation continues to kill civilians in Ukraine, ignoring the laws and customs of war and using terror tactics.

Last night, the russian occupiers struck again with Iranian Shahed UAVs. The air defense of the Ukrainian Defense Forces destroyed six kamikaze drones.

In addition, during the day, the enemy launched 2 missile and 44 air strikes, and fired about 20 times from multiple launch rocket systems at the positions of Ukrainian troops and settlements. Unfortunately, in addition to the destroyed infrastructure, civilians suffered.

There is still a high threat of missile and air strikes throughout Ukraine.

The enemy continues to focus its main efforts on Lyman, Bakhmut and Marinka, and heavy fighting continues. About 20 combat engagements took place during the day.

Towards Volyn and Polissya, the situation remained unchanged. There were no signs of offensive groups forming.

Towards Siversk and Sloboda, the enemy launched an airstrike near Ruska Lozova, Kharkiv oblast. More than 25 settlements were shelled, including Leonivka in Chernihiv oblast; Novovasylivka, Znob-Novhorodske, Nova Huta, Vovkivka in Sumy oblast, as well as Veterynarne, Kozacha Lopan, Mali Prokhody, Hatyshche, Pletenivka, Bochkove, Nesterne, Kruhle and Budarky in Kharkiv oblast.

Towards Kupiansk, more than 20 settlements were subjected to enemy artillery and mortar attacks, including Kolodiazne, Fiholivka, Novomlynsk, Dvorichna, Zakhidne, Kindrashivka, Kupiansk, Masiutivka, Kyslivka, Berestove in Kharkiv oblast.

Towards Lyman, the enemy carried out unsuccessful offensive actions near Rozdolivka. There were airstrikes near Bilohorivka in Luhansk oblast and Zvanivka and Vyimka in Donetsk oblast. More than 10 settlements came under artillery fire, including Nevske and Bilohorivka in Luhansk oblast and Torske, Verkhnekamianske, and Rozdolivka in Donetsk oblast.

Towards Bakhmut, the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensives in the areas of Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Bohdanivka, Bila Hora and launched an airstrike near Niu York in Donetsk oblast. About 15 settlements suffered from enemy artillery shelling, including Vasiukivka, Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Markove, Khromove, Chasiv Yar, Ivanivske, Ozarianivka, Pivdenne in Donetsk oblast. 

Towards Avdiivka, the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensive actions near Avdiivka and launched an airstrike there. They shelled the areas of more than 10 settlements with artillery, namely Berdychi, Avdiivka, Vodiane, Karlivka and Pervomaiske in Donetsk oblast.

Towards Marinka, Ukraine’s defenders repelled all enemy attacks in the vicinity of Mariinka, while the enemy launched an airstrike within the town. At the same time, it fired artillery near 10 settlements, including Marinka and Pobieda in Donetsk oblast.

Towards Shakhtarsk, the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensive actions against Novomykhailivka. There were some air strikes in the areas of Prechystivka and Makarivka, Donetsk oblast. They shelled more than 15 settlements, including Kostiantynivka, Paraskoviivka, Novomykhailivka, Prechystivka, Zolota Nyva, Vilne Pole, Storozheve, Blahodatne, Makarivka, and Rivne in Donetsk oblast.

Towards Zaporizhzhia and Kherson, the enemy is focusing its main efforts on preventing the advance of our troops. The enemy conducted air strikes in the areas of Levadne and Mala Tokmachka in Zaporizhzhia oblast.  About 30 settlements were shelled with artillery, namely Levadne, Olhivske, Huliaipole, Zaliznychne, Charivne in Zaporizhzhia oblast; Mykhailivka, Havrylivka, Odradokamianka, Mykolaivka, Olhivka, Burhunka, Lviv, Ivanivka, Naddniprianske, Antonivka, Kherson, Komyshany, Dniprovske, Yantarne, Berehove, Tomyna Balka, Sofiivka in Kherson oblast and Ochakiv in Mykolaiv oblast.

Due to the outbreak of viral diseases, the occupiers were forced to take measures to stabilize the sanitary and epidemiological situation in a number of settlements in the temporarily occupied territory of Kherson oblast, which were affected by the explosion of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant. The invaders used public utility workers to clear the rubble and collect the flood victims. As a result of search and recovery operations, more than 60 bodies were found on June 24-25 this year alone. In order to conceal the real number of victims, the command of the russian occupation forces decided to bury the dead in mass graves without taking DNA samples or marking the grave site.

Aviation of the defense forces conducted 11 strikes on buildups of enemy personnel, 5 on anti-aircraft missile systems and 1 on the enemy control center. 

Rocket and artillery units destroyed an ammunition depot, 11 artillery units at firing positions, 3 air defense facilities and an enemy electronic warfare station.

According to the Ministry of Reintegration, as of June 28, 126 women are in russian captivity, including 46 military and 80 civilians. 

The Center for National Resistance informs that russia detains children with a pro-Ukrainian position. It is known that the parents of the detained students are threatened with deprivation of parental rights and deportation of their children to russia.


Recent war events in the east of Ukraine

Kharkiv oblast

Oleh Syniehubov, head of the Kharkiv Military District said that yesterday, russian occupants shelled frontline and border settlements in Bohodukhiv, Kharkiv and Kupiansk districts of the region. In particular, Udy, Kozacha Lopan, Masiutivka, Kyslivka, Kotlyarivka, Krasne Pershe, Berestove and other settlements were under attack from enemy mortars and artillery.

 The day before, the russian army shelled the border village of Tymofiivka in Bohodukhiv district with mortars, damaging a private house by about 10 mines, said Viktor Kovalenko, head of the Zolochivska civil-military administration. According to him, electricity is being restored in the village.

In the morning, russian occupants shelled Kurylivka village in Kupyansk district with Uragan multiple rocket launchers. A 70-year-old woman who was in her own yard during the shelling was seriously wounded. Doctors are now fighting for her life.

Vyacheslav Zadorenko, head of the community said that in Dergachi, the shelling damaged almost 700 houses, 18 of which have already been restored.

The press service of the Kharkiv Oblast State Emergency Service reported that mine clearance continues in the region. Over the past day, SES pyrotechnics inspected more than 6 hectares of territory and defused 71 explosive items. “Yesterday, during the demining of the area in Vovchansk, sappers discovered a FAB-500 aircraft bomb.

Oleh Syniehubov, head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, said that almost 4,500 shelters have been checked in the Kharkiv region. According to him, on average, 80% of the shelters were found to be suitable for use. 

Kharkiv-based artist Polina Kuznetsova staged a performance to draw attention to the explosion of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station. The girl spent an hour and a half in an aquarium in the middle of the lake.

Donetsk oblast

On June 27, at 19:32, the russian army fired on the centre of Kramatorsk, Donetsk oblast. The occupiers fired two Iskander missiles at a catering facility with many people. One missile hit the private sector, the other – the pizzeria. The strike destroyed the pizzeria building, damaged 18 multi-storey buildings, 65 private houses, 5 schools, 2 kindergartens, a shopping centre, a hotel, an administrative building and a recreational facility.

According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, 56 people were injured (including a child born in 2022). Three people were rescued. Oleksandr Honcharenko, Head of the RMA, reported 11 deaths. Among the dead are three children, and one child was injured. Rescuers were able to saw and lift pieces of the monolithic concrete slab. The final figures for casualties and damage will change.

Catalina Gomez, Colombian journalist, was injured in the missile attack on Kramatorsk by the russian occupiers the day before. She, along with Colombian writer Hector Abad and Colombian MP Sergio Jaramillo, were in a pizzeria at the time of the crime when one of the Iskander missiles hit it. All three were slightly injured in the attack. 

BBC Ukraine reports that the Colombian colleagues were accompanied by one of the Ukrainian writers, who is now in serious condition after being injured. There are reports that British freelance photographer Anastasia Taylor-Lind also sustained light injuries. Brussels-based journalist Arnaud de Decker was also in the pizzeria at the time of the missile attack.

Pavlo Kyrylenko, Head of the RMA, says that russians killed 9 residents of Donetsk oblast: 8 in Kramatorsk and 1 in Minkivka. Three children were among those killed in Kramatorsk. Another 46 people were wounded in the oblast

Towards Volnovakha, russians shelled Vuhledar 13 times.

Towards Donetsk sector, Krasnohorivka and Kostiantynivka of Maryinka community came under fire. There were sporadic attacks in Avdiivka.

Towards Horlivka, 1 person was killed in Minkivka, Soledar community. In Chasiv Yar community, 5 private houses, 1 multi-storey building and a warehouse were damaged. 

Towards Lysychansk, Lyman community is suffering: in Terny, 5 houses were destroyed and 5 damaged. In Yampolivka, 1 house was destroyed and 2 damaged. In Ivanivka, 2 houses were destroyed and 3 damaged. In Kolodyazhi, 1 house was destroyed and 4 damaged. 

Towards Donetsk, the aerial reconnaissance and artillery destroyed a Vasilok automatic mortar crew of the russian army. The Ukrainian artillery used an 82-mm mortar to do so.

Over the course of the day, Ukrainian troops advanced towards Bakhmut in the vicinity of Razdolivka, north of Soledar, south of Paraskoviivka, in the areas of Zaliznyanske, Berkhivka, Klishchiyivka and Kurdiumivka. The Ukrainian Armed Forces are also consolidating their positions.

During the breakthrough of russian positions near Krasnohorivka, Ukrainian soldiers from the assault group of the 28th Brigade seized positions near the dam near the village of Kurdiumivka and planted the flag of Ukraine there.

The zoo in Pokrovsk region is home to more than three hundred animals: predators, birds and domesticated animals. The head of the board of the NGO Zoosvit said that. since the beginning of russia’s invasion of Ukraine, animals have been brought here from the areas where the fighting is taking place. Currently, the zoo management is building enclosures, planning to expand and is not thinking about evacuating.  The zoo staff took 14 lions, and they have already been taken to Africa. There are also tigers, llamas, deer, wolfdogs, raccoons, ostriches, monkeys, goats, wolves and others.

Luhansk oblast

Serhii Cherevatyi, Spokesman for the Eastern Group of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, informs that there were 8 combat engagements towards Lyman and Kupiansk over the last day. 31 occupiers were killed and 62 wounded. russians fired 372 times at the positions of our military in these areas. An enemy armoured personnel carrier, an unmanned aerial vehicle and a field depot with ammunition were destroyed.

Enemy shelling of Ukrainian settlements with rocket and cannon artillery does not stop. Destruction is regularly recorded in villages where people still live. The other day, the russians shelled Nevske, destroying a house and outbuildings. Fortunately, the owner was unharmed. There are almost no surviving houses in the village. Almost every one of them sustained damage of varying degrees. Bilohorivka, Dibrova and Nevske came under fire yesterday as well. The enemy attempted to launch an offensive near Bilohorivka, but once again failed.

The so-called law enforcement agencies of the ‘luhansk people’s republic’ have received a new order to identify 15 spies and supporters of Ukraine every month. In order to implement this plan, searches and detentions of local residents have once again been intensified.

According to open sources, there have been 8 cases of detention of Ukrainian citizens in the temporarily occupied territories of Luhansk oblast over the past two weeks. When russians need to fulfill their master’s plan, they will find any reason for detention.

In Sievierodonetsk, the occupiers opened two thrift stores. They buy almost anything, even tools and cosmetics. Looting in the occupied city has officially turned into a business project. Due to the lack of work and, consequently, money, people are selling everything they can for cheap – their own and their neighbours’ things.

Equipping the Ukrainian military with unmanned aerial vehicles continues. Three more quadcopters have been delivered from Luhansk Regional Military Administration, Sievierodonetsk and other communities in the region.  The drones are on their way to the frontline, where they will be useful in the fight.

At a regular meeting of the Regional Office for International Cooperation, the USAID Democratic Governance in Eastern Ukraine Project’s activities for 2023 were discussed.

More than 400 more food packages from Vostok SOS were delivered to IDP families in Kreminna, and Rivne. This assistance was provided by Diakonie Kathastrophenhilfe.

What is happening now in the north of Ukraine

Kyiv oblast

Ruslan Kravchenko, Head of the RMA, reported that more than 12 K facilities have been restored in Kyiv oblast. In total, 27,226 facilities have been destroyed or damaged since the beginning of the russian full-scale invasion in the oblast. The main damage was done to 24.3 K residential buildings.

According to Kyiv Regional Military Administration, 3.5 K unemployed persons joined the Recovery Army project in the oblast. These are Ukrainians who have lost their jobs but are willing to work for the country’s economy. 71 employers in Kyiv oblast offer socially useful jobs to citizens. It is noted that a total of UAH 14 million was allocated for the salaries of project participants.

Kyiv City State Administration reported that Kyiv and Bakhmut have signed a memorandum of cooperation. More than 7 K IDPs from Bakhmut live in the capital, and they will be able to implement joint projects and initiatives on the basis of Vcentrі HUB public spaces of the capital. However, the cooperation has been underway since March of this year: psychological lectures, training sessions, master classes, events of Bakhmut art schools are held on a regular basis for IDPs from the east, and students are given space for self-education.

According to Vadym Tokar, Head of Makarivka community, an old gymnasium shelter in Andriivka village turned into a digital educational center. Students can stay in this modern shelter during air raid alerts, studying, doing homework, and spending their leisure time. Laptops, a screen, a projector, and other necessary equipment were purchased for the shelter to provide quality education. Also, there is a mini-library and a set of board games.

The XI International Book Arsenal Festival was attended by 28 K Kyiv residents and guests of the capital. Visitors took part in almost a hundred different events presented in this festival – discussions, lectures, presentations, poetry readings, autograph sessions, concerts, performances, film screenings, and exhibition projects. On the first day of the festival,  President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy and First Lady Olena Zelenska attended the festival.

A mural depicting Roberta Mecola, President of the European Parliament, has been created on the wall of the city library in the center of Irpin. And four poetic lines with which Roberta Metsola congratulated Ukrainians on Constitution Day were written next to it. These are lines from the book Battle for Irpin by Petro Shcherbyna.

Zhytomyr oblast

In Korosten, the military-historical complex Skelia (Rock), damaged by the russian army on March 6, 2022, was restored. According to Mayor Volodymyr Moskalenko, the complex also served as a shelter in case of an air raid alert. On the day of the russian air strike, more than one and a half hundred people were in the shelter.

The city council reported that five more shelters have been opened in Zhytomyr. A technical survey will take place to determine if they can be used, and routine repairs will be carried out.

On June 27, the premiere of the play Bread Truce by Serhii Zhadan took place at the Zhytomyr Academic Music and Drama Theater named after Ivan Kocherha. This is the first adaptation of the dramatic work created by poet, prose writer, and musician Serhii Zhadan on the theater stage. The play focuses on the theme of war and the people who find themselves in its midst. All events take place in a house destroyed by russian shelling.

Sumy oblast

Sumy Regional Military Administration reported that on June 27, the russians opened fire 10 times at the border areas. There were 49 explosions recorded. Krasnopillia, Khotin, Miropillia, Seredyno-Buda, Esman, and Velyka Pysarivka communities were shelled. As a result of the shelling, four private houses, an outbuilding, a summer kitchen, a garage, and three cars were damaged in Velyka Pysarivka community.

At night and in the morning of June 28, the russians opened fire 14 times at the border areas. There were 57 explosions recorded. Myropillia, Velyka Pysarivka, Esman, Seredyno-Buda, Znob-Novhorodske, Bilopillia, Khotin, and Shalyhine communities were shelled.

The SES reported that during the week, an EOD squad discovered and disposed of 16 explosive devices in Sumy oblast. Among the items discovered and destroyed over the past week, there were 8 artillery shells, 5 mortar bombs, 3 grenade launcher rounds. These dangerous findings were discovered in Okhtyrka and Sumy regions.

Bilopillia, Velyka Pysarivka, and Hlukhiv communities will develop municipal energy plans with the support of U-LEAD experts. According to Sumy RMA, the communities won the bid to participate in a network for developing municipal energy plans and exchanging experience in this area. 

Chernihiv oblast

The Chernihiv border guard detachment reported that on the night of June 28, Semenivka community came under enemy fire. There were three attacks near Leonivka village.

34 medals For the Defense of Chernihiv were presented at the City Council on the occasion of the Constitution Day of Ukraine. They were awarded to soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the National Guard, and fighters of territorial defense forces who defended Chernihiv from russian troops during the full-scale invasion in February-March 2022. 14 of the soldiers were injured while defending Chernihiv.

According to the information provided by the Media Initiative for Human Rights, during the occupation of Chernihiv oblast, the russian military abducted three people: Serhii Kolupayko, Oleksandr Koltsen, and Yevhen Petrits.

Viacheslav Chaus, Head of Chernihiv RMA, reported that the new schedule for entertainment and catering establishments in Chernihiv oblast was approved by the Regional Defense Council on June 27. In order to enforce the curfew, local governments may, at their discretion, allow such establishments to be open no later than 11 p.m.

Artem Koptyla, ninth-grader from Bakhmach, found an anti-tank mine when he was out with his friends. He arranged a lookout near the mine and informed his teacher, who contacted the military unit’s operational headquarters for help. EOD experts disposed of the mine. Artem received a commendation and a memorable gift from the brigade commander for observing safety rules during the discovery of the munition.

Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine

Dnipropetrovsk oblast

According to Mykola Lukashuk, Head of the regional council, the Defense Air Force destroyed two enemy drones over the oblast at night. They were preliminarily Iranian Shaheed-136 drones. The enemy also carried out 3 attacks on Nikopol region.

In Nikopol, a fire broke out in a private residential building. 9 private residential buildings and 8 outbuildings were damaged. Myrove community was shelled with heavy artillery. In Synelnykove region, the enemy attacked Novopavlivka community. A private enterprise was damaged. During the day, russians fired twice at Nikopol region. They fired from heavy artillery at Nikopol and the community of Myrove.

Vinnytsia oblast

​​ A lavender garden has bloomed in the village of Tyvriv, Vinnytsia oblast. Larysa Shyian planted 30 hectares of land near her house with the medical variety of flowers two years ago. Today, she uses the money from visitors to buy everything she needs for the company where her son serves.

Kirovohrad oblast

According to Andrii Raikovych, Head of the Kirovohrad Regional State Administration, soldiers of the 176th Holovanivskyi and the 174th Kropyvnytskyi battalions of the Territorial Defence Forces destroyed a Shahed drone on the frontline in automatic bursts.

According to Andrii Raikovych, Head of Kirovohrad Regional State Administration, since the beginning of the russian invasion of Ukraine, Kirovohrad oblast has suffered 50 missile and drone attacks, and more than 150 civilian objects and the region’s energy infrastructure have been damaged.

Poltava oblast

Oleksandr Kanibolotskyi,  resident of Opishna, again set off on a charity solo-bike ride. This time, his home region of Poltava is on the route; his previous destination was Bucha. The purpose of the bike ride is to raise funds for a car for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Cherkasy oblast

According to Ihor Taburets, Head of Cherkasy State Administration, the oblast came under an enemy air attack at night. Ukrainian defenders successfully destroyed two enemy attack drones. Two others hit an empty warehouse.

Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine

Zaporizhzhia oblast

Zaporizhzhya Regional Military Administration reports that russian occupiers shelled 16 settlements in Zaporizhzhia oblast yesterday. There were 77 attacks launched with multiple launch rocket systems and artillery. Another 40 reports were added about the destruction of civilian infrastructure: apartments, houses, garages and other property. One civilian was killed and nine more wounded. In Piatikhatky, a 75-year-old man was injured, as well as men aged 42 and 49 were injured in Preobrazhenka.

The Ukrainian military continues to advance towards Melitopol and Berdiansk. Rocket and artillery units completed 1,222 firing missions over the past day. Enemy death toll amounted to almost three companies.

The russian occupation authorities increased the number of inspections in Enerhodar to check the local population, looking for locals who do not have a russian passport. Numerous cases of deprivation of liberty of citizens of the city and surrounding settlements, followed by torture and psychological pressure, as well as alienation of personal property, have been recorded in the city. Citizens are accused of ‘anti-russian activities’ and spreading pro-Ukrainian views.

A mobile mine safety classroom is operating in Zaporizhzhia oblast. Emergency workers, together with the staff of the Training and Methodological Center for Civil Protection and Life Safety, are conducting outreach to civilians, adults and children.

Mykolaiv oblast

Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration reports that on June 27, at 11:42 and 12:28, the enemy fired on the town of Ochakiv. This resulted in a dry grass fire in open areas. The fires were promptly extinguished. There were no casualties. Also, at 12:35, a settlement of Kutsurub community was shelled, resulting in damaged and no casualties.

Anka Feldhusen, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Germany to Ukraine  visited Mykolaiv. The meeting discussed the provision of drinking water to the townspeople; replacement of filters, purchase of consumables, electricity, etc., as well as the need for new passenger transport.

The press service of the State Environmental Inspectorate reports that rare birds and plants in the Ivano-Kepini Nature Reserve in Mykolaiv oblast are dying due to flooding caused by the explosion of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant.

Odesa oblast

The Southern Regional Department of the State Tax Service of Ukraine informs that border guards received 2 DJI Mavic 3T quadcopters from the Tairova village council of Odesa oblast. They are considered to be the best in their class due to a number of advantages, like flying a considerable distance, and staying in the air for almost 45 minutes. This allows for reconnaissance of enemy positions from a safe distance. The drones are equipped with a thermal imager, so they can operate effectively both during the day and at night.

A bike ride was organized in Odesa to mark the Constitution Day of Ukraine. The event was attended by over 30 cyclists and representatives of Odesa’s sports community, including children. The ride was also joined by 20 bicycle patrol officers of the Patrol Police Department in Odesa oblast.

Kherson oblast

According to Kherson Regional State Administration, russian occupiers fired 6 shells at Kherson. The shells hit residential areas of the settlements, wondering three people.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports that towards Kherson, the enemy’s main actions are focused on deterring Ukrainian troops to prevent their advance. Mykhailivka, Havrylivka, Odradokamianka, Mykolaivka, Olhivka, Burhunka, Lvove, Ivanivka, Naddniprianske, Antonivka, Kherson, Komyshany, Dniprovske, Yantarne, Berehove, Tomyna Balka and Sofiivka came under artillery fire.

The liquidation of the aftermath of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant dam explosion continues for 23 days. About 704 hectares have been cleared of mines, most of which are in the Ostrov neighborhood. 87 water-borne explosives have been found and defused there. According to the Kherson Regional State Administration, 72 K tons of water have been pumped out of 56 flooded basements over the past day and electricity restored to 5 more settlements.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine informs that in Kherson oblast, the occupiers buried the residents who died from the flooding in mass graves. The burials took place without taking DNA samples and without markings to identify individuals. Also, according to the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, doctors in the occupied territories diagnose death due to heart failure, as required by the occupation authorities.

Police reports that in the occupied village of Nova Zburivka in Kherson oblast, the occupiers ran over an 83-year-old woman with an armored personnel carrier. The victim died on the spot. At the time of the crime, the pensioner was standing near the fence of the house. The russian military also abducted a 39-year-old man in the town of Kakhovka – his fate is currently unknown.

The Kherson Regional State Administration informs that In Kherson oblast, a combine harvester hit an enemy mine in a field. The incident occurred during fieldwork near the village of Chkalove in Velyka Oleksandrivka community. Two men aged 41 and 36 were wounded.

47 young residents of Kherson went on vacation to Romania. The children will spend a month in the Romanian city of Suceava. The trip was organized by volunteer organizations ADRA UKRAINE and Help People.

Latest news for today in the western regions of Ukraine

Volyn oblast

From June 29 to July 1, 2023, a marathon will be held in Volyn in support of Ukraine’s accession to NATO initiated by the Blue Yellow and Strong Together, public organizations from Lithuania. The runners will carry the Ukrainian flag, handed over from Bakhmut, across the country to the Polish border, where it will be picked up by Lithuanian participants.

Zakarpattia oblast

The RMA signed an agreement on cooperation with the regional headquarters of the National Police. It provides for the joint use of the information and analytical system Situation Center Security Zakarpattia during martial law.

Ivano-Frankivsk oblast

The regional mobile brigade visited Rohatyn community to inspect three shelters where IDPs live. They got acquainted with the living conditions and listened to the needs of IDPs. They also visited a new facility, where renovation work was recently completed. Now over fifty people can live there.

Lviv oblast

Lviv’s Regional Center for Emergency Medical Aid and Disaster Medicine received three Mercedes-Benz Vario armored ambulances thanks to the LUkraine asbl association of Ukrainians in Luxembourg, the Ukraine is Calling international campaign and the European Investment Bank.

The RMA reported that a Dacia Logan car, equipped with camouflage nets and dry borscht and soup sets,  was sent from Mostysk to the frontline.

Trostianets community sent a Toyota Land Cruiser Ambulance medical vehicle worth EUR 50K to the front thanks to the Trostyanets-Hofstetten international cooperation agreement.

As part of the Lviv Urban Forum, Mariupol Reborn Strategic and Architectural Modeling Platform and the first office of the project were opened in Lviv. World-class architects, urban planners and experts are already developing a  reconstruction plan for Mariupol.

The 100 Moments of Ukraine charitable exhibition opened in Lviv. Over a hundred pictures of Ukrainian photographers from all over the country were presented there. Artists depicted everyday life of Ukrainians, architectural monuments, etc. The photos can be purchased by anyone for a symbolic donation. The collected funds will be donated to help the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Rivne oblast

21 volunteers from Vysotsk, Rokytnivsk and Starosilsk communities (Sarnen region) went to Kherson oblast to help restore housing and critical infrastructure. Volunteers work in two weeks shifts.

In the village of Volodymyrets, a creative art object dedicated to Oleksandr Matsievskyi, who was shot by the russians after saying Glory to Ukraine!, appeared on the wall of the local history museum. The author of the mural is Kateryna Parapanova, a teacher at Volodymyretsk Lyceum # 1.

Ternopil oblast

Teams of volunteers, including six specialists of communal services, from Chortkiv community went to Kherson oblast, which was in an environmental disaster zone due to the explosion of the Kakhovka HPP.

Khmelnytskyi oblast

One of the military units was given a bath and laundry complex created on the basis of an IVECO car thanks to Khmelnytskyi Regional Territorial Center for Staffing and Social Support, the Charitable Fund for Assistance to Voluntary Formations, the Territorial Defense, the Avangard public association and other caring benefactors.

The city council of Khmelnytskyi reported that a minibus was sent to one of the special forces units that performs combat missions on the front line.

Chernivtsi oblast

The RMA held a meeting with representatives of the World Vision International charitable Christian organization. The implementation of current projects in Chernivtsi oblast and the needs of communities were discussed.

The RMA reported that 10 children from Bukovyna, who actively help the military, received an award from Valerii Zaluzhnyi, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

International support of Ukraine in the russian-Ukrainian war (russia’s invasion of Ukraine)

The US announced a new package of military aid for Ukraine in the amount of up to $500 million, includes: 30 Bradley fighting vehicles; 25 Stryker armored personnel carriers (photo); artillery shells and spare parts; additional ammunition for the Patriot and for HIMARS, as well as Stinger anti-aircraft systems, Javelin and AT-4 anti-tank systems, and anti-tank missiles.

Petr Fiala, Prime Minister of the Czech Republic, announced that from January to May 2023, the country sent 24 tanks, 76 infantry fighting vehicles and 645 anti-tank guided missiles to Ukraine. In the first five months, Fiala emphasized, the Czech Republic also provided Ukraine with 16 air defense systems, 57K ammunition for guns and howitzers, and 144 units of air defense equipment. The supply also included other military equipment, spare parts, fuel and means of radiation, chemical and biological protection.

Gitanas Nauseda, President of Lithuania, announced that the country purchased two NASAMS systems for Ukraine, also sent 10 M113 armored personnel carriers and ammunition.

The Ministry of Defense of the Netherlands reported that the country will buy machine guns for the Ukrainian army for EUR 111 million, including 7.62-mm FN MAG machine guns of the Belgian company FN Herstal. The exact quantity and terms of delivery are not mentioned.

The Croatian Parliament adopted a declaration recognizing the Holodomor of 1932-1933 as genocide of the Ukrainian people.

The US introduced sanctions against companies associated with the wagner PVC.

Switzerland joined the 11th package of EU sanctions against the russian federation. The government is reportedly imposing restrictions on new individuals, which the European Union chose on June 23 in its 11th package of sanctions. These are financial and travel restrictions on 71 individuals and 33 legal entities.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President of Ukraine, had a phone conversation with Jonas Har Stere, Prime Minister of Norway. The interlocutors coordinated their positions on the eve of the Vilnius NATO summit.

Andrzej Duda, President of Poland, arrived on an unannounced visit to Kyiv. Gitanas Nauseda, Lithuanian President, is also currently in the capital of Ukraine. Leaders came to discuss support for Ukraine at the NATO summit to be held on July 11-12 in Vilnius.
