It has been the 494th day of the Ukrainian resistance to the russian military aggression. 

What happened in Ukraine today:

Here is operational information of the General Staff as of 6 pm:   

The russian occupiers launched 11 missile attacks and used 8 Iranian attack UAVs of the Shahed type.

In addition, the enemy conducted 40 airstrikes and fired about 30 times from multiple rocket launcher systems at the positions of Ukrainian troops and settlements. Unfortunately, in addition to the destroyed civilian infrastructure, civilians were also affected.

There is still a threat of launching missile and air strikes across Ukraine.

The enemy is focusing its main efforts on Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Marinka, and heavy fighting continues with 28 combat engagements over the day.

The situation towards Volyn and Polissia remained unchanged.

The enemy maintains a military presence towards Siversk and Sloboda. Over 30 settlements were shelled with mortars and artillery, namely Khrinivka and Kamianska Sloboda in Chernihiv oblast; Sopych, Bilopillia and Ponomarenky in Sumy oblast and Kozacha Lopan and Volchansk in Kharkiv oblast.

Towards Kupiansk, Masiutivka, Kyslivka and Berestove in Kharkiv oblast came under enemy artillery and mortar fire.

Towards Lyman, the russian army conducted airstrikes near Bilohorivka and Novoliubivka in Luhansk oblast and Siversk in Donetsk oblast. Nevske and Bilohorivka in Luhansk oblast  and Verkhnekamianske and Torske in Donetsk region came under artillery fire.

Towards Bakhmut, the russian forces conducted unsuccessful offensives in the areas of Minkivka and Bohdanivka in Donetsk oblast. More than 10 settlements suffered from enemy artillery shelling, including Chasiv Yar and Ivanivske in Donetsk oblast.

 Towards Avdiivka, the russian army conducted unsuccessful offensive actions near Avdiivka. There was an airstrike there. More than 10 settlements were shelled with artillery, namely Avdiivka and Pervomaiske in Donetsk oblast.

Towards Marinka, Ukrainian defenders repelled all enemy attacks in the vicinity of Marinka. At the same time, the enemy conducted airstrikes in the areas of Kotlyarivka, Marinka and Kurakhove and shelled more than 10 settlements with artillery. Among them are Marinka and Novomykhailivka in Donetsk oblast.

Towards Shakhtarsk, the russian army conducted an airstrike near Bohoiavlenka. More than 10 settlements, including Zolota Nyva, Velyka Novosilka, Vodiane and Vuhledar in Donetsk oblast came under fire.

Towards Zaporizhzhia and Kherson, the enemy is focusing its main efforts on preventing the advance of our troops. There were air strikes near Zmiivka and Antonivka. Approximately 40 settlements, including Novodarivka, Olhivske, Huliaipole, and Bilohiria in Zaporizhzhia oblast; Kozatske, Antonivka, Dniprovske in Kherson oblast and the city of Kherson were shelled.


Aviation of the defense forces carried out 9 strikes on some buildups of enemy personnel, and rocket and artillery units hit 22 artillery pieces at firing positions and 2 enemy air defense systems over the day.

Vice Admiral Oleksiy Neizhpapa, Commander of the Ukrainian Navy, says that  russia does not sail closer than 100 nautical miles (185 km) to Odesa. It is known that at the beginning of the full-scale invasion, when comparing the potential between the Russian and Ukrainian navies, it was in favor of russia. However, Ukraine did not stand still and implemented missile programs that were approved by the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and created the Ukrainian Neptune missile system.

Serhii Cherevatyi, Spokesman of the Eastern Group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, informs that there are advances on the southern and northern flanks around Bakhmut. It is known that Ukrainian sniper groups and some other units are operating in the city itself. He also noted that all the achievements of domestic and international military science, unmanned aerial vehicles, intelligence, and high-precision systems are being used to destroy the enemy without taking emergency actions that could lead to heavy losses.

Recent war events in the east of Ukraine

Kharkiv oblast

The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported that Kozacha Lopan, Vovchansk, Masiutivka, Kyslivka and Berestove in Kharkiv oblast came under mortar and artillery fire from the russian federation.

On 1 July, a charity race was held in Kharkiv to raise money for the 92nd Brigade. Vadym Kovalenko, co-organiser of the event, says that UAH 53 K will be used to buy drones and thermal imagers for the military. Fundraising is ongoing.

Oleh Syniehubov, Head of the RMA, says that the russian army shelled Bohodukhiv, Kharkiv, Kupiansk, Chuhuiv and Izium regions with artillery and mortars and used aircraft. Udy, Pylyna, Vovchansk, Budarky, Balakliia and other settlements were under attack by the russian occupiers.

 Oleh Syniehubov, Head of the RMA, says that the number of wounded as a result of the shelling of Balakliia in Izium region yesterday increased to two people. According to the updated data, a 65-year-old woman was wounded and hospitalized as a result of cluster munitions shelling. Doctors assessed her condition as moderate. Later, a 73-year-old woman with a shrapnel wound was treated as an outpatient. In the town, 4 residential buildings, 1 outbuilding, a power line and a railway track were damaged.

In the village of Bohodarove, Izium region, a tractor hit a mine while conducting field work. There were no casualties.

Mine clearance is ongoing. SES bomb squads inspected more than 9 hectares of territory and defused 66 ordnance.

Donetsk oblast

The fiercest fighting between the Ukrainian Defence Forces and the russian army is taking place towards Avdiivka. According to Valerii Shershen, Spokesman for the joint press centre of the Tavriia Defence Forces, russian troops are trying to break through the Ukrainian defenses and continue to attack Marinka and Avdiivka.

russian troops tried to advance near Rivnopil towards Marinka, but suffered losses and retreated. Ukrainian troops liberated the village in Donetsk region on 26 June.

Serhii Cherevaty, Spokesman for the Eastern Group, reports that towards Bakhmut, the Ukrainian Armed Forces continue to liberate territory and advance on the flanks of the city.  He added that towards Lyman and Kupiansk, occupiers stormed Ukrainian positions 10 times over the last day, firing 603 times from various artillery and 9 air raids. Ukrainian troops eliminated 77 occupiers, wounding 195 and capturing one. Also, six T-72 tanks, three armoured personnel carriers, six BTR-80 armoured personnel carriers, an Acacia self-propelled artillery system, two cannons, six light tractors, a mortar, two field ammunition depots and three vehicles were destroyed.

Ukrainian forces are making progress in the Bakhmut sector. Combat work is underway on the flanks. A total of 23 firefights took place near Bakhmut, the enemy is putting up fierce resistance. According to Colonel Cherevatyi, the russian army fired over 440 times at Ukrainian positions in this sector, and conducted 5 air raids. Ukrainian troops killed 116 occupiers, wounded 199, and destroyed 4 Grand MLRS, 2 Acacia, 1 Carnation, an infantry fighting vehicle, 11 cannons, a mortar, 5 UAVs and 10 ammunition depots.

Over the past day, the occupiers dropped two more aerial bombs on Toretsk and shelled Vuhledar 32 times. In total, russia shelled 6 towns and villages in Donetsk oblast, damaging 19 civilian targets.

Towards Volnovakha, the russians shelled Vuhledar 32 times and hit Epifany with Grad multiple rocket launchers. The enemy also attacked Blahodatne of the Velykonovosilkove community with rockets from two helicopters.

Towards Donetsk, there were sporadic attacks on Krasnohorivka and Kostiantynivka of Marinka community, as well as Avdiivka and Ocheretyne.

Towards Horlivka, russians dropped two FAB-250 bombs on Toretsk, damaging 5 high-rise buildings, a school and a rehabilitation centre. A multi-storey building and an industrial building were damaged in Chasiv Yar community.

Towards Lysychansk, 1 person was injured and 7 houses damaged in Yampol of Lyman community. Also, 1 house was damaged in Torske.

According to Pavlo Kyrylenko, Head of Donetsk Military Administration, russians killed one resident in Avdiivka. Three more people were wounded.

Luhansk oblast

The russian military has intensified its activities towards Svatove in Luhansk oblast. According to Hanna Malyar, Deputy Minister of Defence of Ukraine, the russian army is attacking the defense forces near Bilohorivka and Serebrianka, and fierce fighting is taking place there.

The occupiers continue to terrorize civilians, opening fire from artillery on our villages. Yesterday, they shelled Nevske and the area around it, as well as Dibrova and Bilohorivka again. The latter was subjected to an airstrike. The enemy tried to advance south of Dibrova, but failed. russians’ attempts to hit Nevske also failed. The attacks were repelled, but it is still dangerous to stay in the settlement.

Luhansk RMA reported that the occupation administrations of Kadiivka and Alchevsk are being checked by FSB officers. They are interrogating about the presence of relatives on the territory controlled by the Government of Ukraine, asking for this information about colleagues. Similar measures will be carried out by the russians in every settlement, as the so-called ‘lpr’ is actively looking for spies.

It became known what happened to the residents of Sievierodonetsk who were caught trying to make a call from the roofs of high-rise buildings. Previously, they were fined and then detained. However, this was not enough for the occupiers.They were taken outside the city and forced to make fortifications for the russian military. They spent two weeks digging trenches.

What is happening now in the north of Ukraine

Kyiv oblast

Serhii Popko, Head of Kyiv RMA, reports that at night, the enemy attacked Kyiv oblast with a UAV. All enemy targets in the airspace around Kyiv were detected and destroyed by air defense forces.

According to Ruslan Kravchenko, Head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration, as a result of falling debris in two regions of the oblast, three private houses were damaged, and a resident of one of the houses injured. The alarm lasted almost an hour. No hits have been recorded.

UNHCR will help create and furnish housing for IDPs in Kyiv oblast. Kyiv Regional Military Administration reported that necessary construction materials will be provided to restore the place of compact residence and a facility for apartments for IDPs. With the assistance of UNHCR, a number of programs are already being implemented in Boryspil and Ivankiv regions.

About 900 out of more than 3 K damaged facilities have been restored in Bucha community. Anatolii Fedoruk, Mayor of Bucha, reported at the Conference on Democratic Governance that this year, the community will invest UAH 287 million in the restoration of buildings and infrastructure destroyed by the enemy. He also unveiled upcoming projects: a multidisciplinary hospital for 600 patients, Ukraine’s first factory kitchen, the Bucha Techno Garden innovation park, and the Green Bucha decarbonization project.

In Makariv community, 22 families whose homes were destroyed by russian shelling received new temporary housing. Vadym Tokar, Head of the community, informed that they will be accommodated in modular houses built due to benefactors. The houses are equipped with everything necessary for life, so people can move in immediately and start rebuilding their homes.

According to Kyiv RMA, automated shelter opening systems are to be gradually introduced throughout Kyiv. The pilot system is now being implemented in Darnytskyi district.

A mural dedicated to rescuers was created in Kyiv. The opening ceremony took place at the 24th State Fire and Rescue Unit. The project was implemented by volunteer artists from artistic and educational institutions for children.

BBC reported that remains of eight British Hurricane fighters from the Second World War buried in the forest near Kyiv. The found aircraft were sent to the Soviet Union by the United Kingdom after the outbreak of war in 1941 and were part of an allied military support package for the USSR. These aircraft were deliberately damaged and buried after the war so that the Soviet Union would not have to pay money to the United States under the terms of the lend-lease.

Zhytomyr oblast

According to the State Emergency Service, there are 2,982 protective structures in the oblast, 87% of which are suitable for sheltering residents and have round-the-clock access. Vitalii Bunechko, Head of the URA, reported that by the end of 2023, more than half a billion hryvnias will be spent on arranging shelters in Zhytomyr oblast. Funds will be allocated from the regional budget, community budgets and a subvention from the state budget for the construction of shelters in educational institutions.

According to the RMA, Zhytomyr oblast will receive 5,800 doses of pertussis, diphtheria and tetanus vaccine out of 120,000 doses delivered by UNICEF to Ukraine. These are infections that may have serious health implications for children, especially in times of war when access to medical care may be limited.

Sumy oblast

Over the past day, the russian forces conducted 25 attacks. There were 140 explosions recorded. As reported by Sumy RMA, Krasnopillia, Myropillia, Bilopillia, Velyka Pysarivka, Yunakivka, Khotin, Esman, Hlukhiv, and Shalyhine communities were shelled. The regional National Police reported that as a result of the shelling, three private houses, an outbuilding, a tractor, a gas pipeline, and power lines were damaged.

During the celebrations on the occasion of the 5th anniversary of the 155th territorial battalion, the staff of Sumy school No. 12 received a letter of gratitude from the commander of the military formation for their significant assistance to the defenders of Ukraine. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, there has been an active  volunteer movement in the school: they weave camouflage nets, make trench candles, collect aid for Ukrainian defenders, and visit wounded soldiers.

A charity karate competition was held in Sumy, in which athletes from the Progress club – children aged six to twelve – participated. Funds were raised for a car for the Ukrainian military. 

Chernihiv oblast

Yesterday, Karpovychi, Kamianska Sloboda, Mykolaivka, and Buchky came under enemy fire. According to the State Border Guard Service, as of 9:00 a.m. on June 2, there were five attacks from various types of weapons: 1 explosion from a 120-mm mortar bomb, and 45 explosions from enemy artillery systems.

At night and in the morning, the enemy continued shelling Novhorod-Siversk and Semenivka communities. The Chernihiv border guard detachment reported that there were five shells fired from barrel artillery in the area of Karpovychi village and one mortar bomb fired in the area of Buchky village.

The city council reported that a preliminary design of the memorial complex in Yalivshchyna was presented at a meeting of the architectural and urban planning council in Chernihiv. The meeting was attended by relatives and friends of the servicemen buried there. All works will be financed from the budget of the city territorial community.

In Chernihiv, rescuers joined the opening of a creative program for teenagers Together Camp by UNICEF and the NGO Cultural Platform of Transcarpathia. SES experts discussed with the children what explosives look like, where they can be found, and what to do if explosives are found.

Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine

Dnipropetrovsk oblast

According to Mykola Lukashuk, Head of the Regional Council, in the afternoon, the russian army attacked Nikopol region. They shelled Nikopol and Marhanets community with cannon artillery. 

After almost four weeks without water supply due to the explosion of the Kakhovka HPP, centralized water supply is restored in Pokrova, Dnipropetrovsk oblast. 

Dnipropetrovsk oblast has sheltered more than 380,000 internally displaced people from the temporarily occupied territories and the war zone. Most of them – over 150 K – are staying in Dnipro.

Vinnytsia oblast

​​ A field kitchen festival in memory of Taras Sych was held in Vinnytsia oblast. The charity event raised over UAH 100 K to support the military in Vinnytsia.

The Wings of Victory charity beach volleyball tournament was held at the volleyball courts of Khimik Beach in Vinnytsia. The tournament raised UAH 50,720. These funds will be used to manufacture an army of drones for the KRYLA (“WINGS”) special forces unit with the support of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine.

Kirovohrad oblast

A free teenage psychological club for internally displaced persons and residents of Kropyvnytskyi has started its operations. The teenage club is being implemented as part of the Phoenix project, which is launched by an international charity fund in Eastern Europe and financed by the European Union.

Poltava oblast

According to Dmytro Lunin, Head of the Poltava Regional State Administration, doctors from Poltava oblast are working in Kherson oblast. The first rotation of 15 doctors, 10 nurses and paramedics, including two emergency medical teams, has arrived and is providing assistance. Surgeons, oncologists, general practitioners and pediatricians will be working at various medical facilities for a month. 

 In Poltava, the veterans’ competition, The Strong of Ukraine, was organized for soldiers undergoing rehabilitation. More than 100 athletes with various injuries took part.

Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine

Zaporizhzhia oblast

On July 2, at night, russian troops fired S-300 missiles at the village of Komyshuvakha in Zaporizhzhia region. The Dzherelo gymnasium, and the green zone near the school were hit. The building is likely beyond repair

Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration reported that the russian forces fired 58 times at 18 civilian settlements: they attacked the outskirts of the regional center, fired 4 rocket attacks at Komyshuvakha, twice at Levadne, and fired 52 artillery strikes at Orikhove, Huliaipol, Zaliznychne, Stepnohirsk and surrounding frontline villages. 3 people were wounded.

Ivan Fedorov, Mayor of Melitopol, said that the bodies of russian soldiers are being burned in the temporarily occupied Melitopol. The occupiers set up a mobile crematorium at a former sanatorium for children.

Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration reported that as of July 2, the water level in the lower reaches of the Dnipro HPP in Zaporizhzhia oblast is 12.26 meters, which is 2.24 meters below the norm.

American Institute for the Study of War (ISW) wrote that russian occupiers are unlikely to cause a radiation incident at the seized Zaporizhzhia NPP. Analysts believe that in this case, russia will not be able to control the consequences of this incident, which will reduce russia’s ability to act and govern in the occupied south of Ukraine. Experts argue that russia is likely to use this threat to deter Ukrainian counter offensives and weaken support for Western military assistance to Ukraine.

Mykolaiv oblast

The RMA reported that russian invaders attacked Odesa and Mykolaiv oblasts at night. According to the South Command, the air defense forces destroyed three Kalibrs over the sea.  The activities of both tactical and strategic enemy aircraft were recorded at dawn. Around midnight, two Shahed-136 attack drones were fired over Mykolaiv oblast. No strikes were registered.

According to the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Mykolaiv oblast, more than 15 hectares of water areas have been cleared of explosive ordnance. Modern specialized equipment was used to conduct these works: CHARPIE underwater robot, FIFISH V6 EXPERT M100 underwater drone, SONOBOT 5 hydrographic vehicle.

Turkey has so far failed to evacuate six of its vessels that are blocked in the ports of Mykolaiv oblast. Mykolaiv oblast differs from Odesa oblast in that the Kinburn Spit is still under occupation. During the negotiations on the evacuation of the six Turkish vessels, Ukraine asked Turkey to be the first step in getting the other blocked vessels out of Mykolaiv oblast. Turkey agreed to help.

Odesa oblast

Odesa RMA reported that hostile air attacks were carried out at night and in the morning. Shaheds were launched from the southeast, and Kalibr missiles from the Black Sea. The air defense forces and means of the South Air Command and units of the Defence Forces in Odesa oblast destroyed three Kalibr sea-launched cruise missiles.

The ‘South’ Operational Command reported that the number of missile launchers in the Black Sea had been increased to 3, with 1 additional surface-based missile launcher on combat duty in addition to 2 submarines. The total number of Kalibr salvos has increased to 16.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi congratulated the servicemen of the Ukrainian Navy on their professional holiday during a working visit to Odesa oblast. He also met with Navy Commander Oleksii Neizhpapa. The parties discussed the operational situation in the Black Sea and the development of the naval drone and missile programmes.

One of the country’s largest agricultural enterprises, Nibulon, will receive €27 million from the Danish Export Investment Fund EIFO to increase the capacity of its Bessarabian branch in Izmail. This was reported by the company’s press service. The Danish fund is investing in the construction of a full-fledged elevator designed for the simultaneous storage of 118.5 thousand tonnes of grain and a high-tech modern mill with a capacity of 750 tonnes per day. 

Kherson oblast

On July 2, in the morning, the russian army shelled a residential area of Kherson. A pharmacy and a catering facility came under fire.  4 people were wounded. A multi-storey building was hit, and shell fragments damaged civilian infrastructure. A criminal investigation was opened into the violation of the laws and customs of war.

The State Emergency Service reported that as a result of the shelling of the multi-storey building a fire broke out on the balcony of one of the destroyed apartments. Rescuers who arrived at the scene extinguished it.

In Posad Pokrovsky, a tractor driver was blown up on russian explosives during field work. The 48-year-old man sustained concussion, injuries to his face, chest and arms as a result of the detonation of the explosive device.

Natalia Humenyuk, Head of the Joint Coordination Press Center of the Defense and Security Forces of the South, said that in Kherson oblast, Ukrainian Defense Forces eliminated 49 occupiers and destroyed 15 units of russian military equipment. In particular, eight armored vehicles, four boats and unmanned aerial vehicles.

On July 1, the russian army fired 86 times at Kherson oblast. They fired 27 shells at Kherson, hitting residential areas. Five residents, including three children, were injured.

Volodymyr Litvinov, Head of Beryslav RMA, reported that during the day, russian troops shelled four communities in Beryslav region. Zmiivka, Chervonyi Maiak, Mylove, Olhivka and Tiahyntsi came under fire. Houses and outbuildings, municipal and agricultural machinery were damaged. A child was injured. 

Oleksandr Prokudin, Head of Kherson Regional Military Administration, reported that as a result of russian troops blowing up the Kakhovka HPP, 102 cultural monuments were flooded on the left bank of Kherson oblast, and 16 more on the right bank. 

More than 60 houses in Darivka community were destroyed due to the flooding as a result of the russian army’s explosion of the Kakhovka HPP. The wells are being pumped and the water supply system is being disinfected.  Modular houses are being set up for people whose homes were destroyed.

The National Resistance Center reported that there are 12 cemeteries, one cattle cemetery and a biothermal pit (a facility for destroying animal corpses) in the temporarily occupied territories that were flooded as a result of the destruction of the Kakhovka HPP. Flooding of such facilities can lead to epidemics in the temporarily occupied territories. The situation on the left bank is difficult, the occupiers not only hide information about the consequences of their own terrorist attack, but also assure that there is no danger to the population.

Police officers from Kherson oblast have completed a basic course for combat medics. The training lasted four days. How to act under fire and provide prompt and high-quality assistance to the wounded – these important skills were taught to police officers by instructors from the Tactical Medicine North NGO and SMART MEDICAL AID during the training organized with the assistance of the European Union Advisory Mission EUAM Ukraine. The knowledge gained will help law enforcement officers save more lives.

Kherson oblast received 430 generators from the United Nations Development Program. The equipment was purchased at the expense of the Government of Japan. The generators will be delivered to communities to restore services to people affected by the flooding.

Volyn oblast

Lutsk City Council sent a DJI MAVIC 3 Fly more combo quadcopter for the needs of the military of the 6th Volyn border detachment, who perform combat missions to protect the independence and territorial integrity of Ukraine from russian invasion. Lutsk City Council recently sent 80 Mavic 3 drones to the A1840 military unit for further distribution by the General Staff among the relevant military units, 5 drones to Volyn special forces and 3 drones to the A7086 military unit (second rifle battalion).

Zakarpattia oblast

Zakarpattia entrepreneurs received over UAH 18 million in compensation for the purchase of alternative energy sources in the conditions of the energy crisis. Business will be able to use these funds for further business activities and its development.

Ivano-Frankivsk oblast

Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President of Ukraine, awarded the fighters of the 10th separate mountain assault brigade. The Commander-in-Chief personally presented awards in the combat zone.

In Ivano-Frankivsk, Oleksandra Husakov, surgeon from Zaporizhzhia, restores hearing to soldiers and civilians, lost as a result of explosions. She said that such surgical interventions are extremely difficult, and there are few surgeons who perform them in Ukraine. Now the doctor works for two cities (Ivano-Frankivsk and Zaporizhzhia) and performs such operations on military personnel almost daily.

Lviv oblast

20 children, aged 3 to 8, who are students of one of the institutions of Zaporizhzhia oblast, and their attendants were evacuated to Lviv oblast. The Children’s Service of Lviv oblast settled them in appropriate institutions for children.

Mykhailo Fedorov, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, announced that in Lviv, the first school in Europe is being built using 3D printing.

Last week, the oblast got rid of 6 more objects of the soviet past. As of the end of June, 94 objects have already been dismantled.

Rivne oblast

Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President of Ukraine, visited the Rivne NPP, where he held a meeting of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief Staff.

Rivne oblast power engineers have delivered the second shipment of materials for drainage and construction and restoration works to Kherson oblast, responding to the specific needs of flooded communities. In addition to the diesel heat guns, OSB plates, slate, and inventory that were sent last time, almost a thousand sheets of slate were shipped for the arrangement of roofs in water-damaged buildings.

In 61 separate battalions of the 104th brigades of the Territorial Defense Forces, 5-days training for sergeants was held. The training was conducted to provide a unified methodology for managing the unit during combat.

Ternopil oblast

A number of villages and towns are planned to be renamed in Ternopil oblast. There are 15 settlements in the oblast, names of which do not meet the standards of the state language and contain ideological elements related to the russian imperial policy.

Khmelnytskyi oblast

In the village of Volitsa, Krasyliv community, parishioners of the St. John the Theological Church decided to leave the moscow patriarchate and join the Orthodox Church of Ukraine. Over two and a half hundred residents of the village voted for this decision.

On the initiative of UNICEF, a new rehabilitation facility Children’s Point was opened in Khmelnytskyi. On the covered safety platform, children will learn fire and mine safety and the rules of behavior on the water.

Chernivtsi oblast

Repair work was carried out with the funds of philanthropists in the Chortoriisk psychoneurological boarding house to improve living conditions for IDPs and persons with disabilities. 116 wards live in the boarding house on full state support, including IDPs from boarding houses located on the territory of Ukraine, where hostilities are ongoing.

International support of Ukraine in the russian-Ukrainian war (russia’s invasion of Ukraine)

Pedro Sanchez, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Spain, announced that the country will soon send 4 more Leopard 2 tanks to Ukraine.

Yevgeniia Kravchuk, Deputy Head of the Sluha Narodu (People’s Servant) parliamentary faction reported that PA of the OSCE supported the creation of a special tribunal to bring russians to justice for war crimes. Also, for the first time in history, an international document mentions rashyzm as the state ideology of the aggressor country.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President of Ukraine, and Pedro Sanchez, Prime Minister of Spain, signed a joint statement supporting Ukraine’s European and Euro-Atlantic perspective. This is already the 21st such statement, that is, the majority supported the Ukrainian perspective, in particular its membership in the Alliance. Ukraine was supported by Belgium, Denmark, Estonia, Italy, Iceland, Spain, Canada, Latvia, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Germany, Norway, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Finland, France, the Czech Republic, Montenegro and Sweden.

Poland will strengthen the border with belarus with half a thousand policemen. It is noted that law enforcement officers will fight mass riots and counter-terrorists. They will join the 2K soldiers and 5K border guards already guarding the border.

At the border with Poland, border guards met participants of the Raise the Flag of Ukraine for Ukraine in NATO race, who handed over the Ukrainian flag to their friends from Lithuania. Marathon runners carry the national flag handed over by the military from Bakhmut. Lithuanian athletes will deliver the flag to Vilnius, where they plan to raise it before the summit of NATO countries, which will take place on July 11.

In Spain, Olha and Mykhailo Korobkov, artists from Kyiv,  created a mural dedicated to Ukraine. The mural depicts a mother with her baby, symbolizing love, hope and faith in a bright future for Ukrainians.
