It has been the 184th day of Ukraine’s resistance to the russian military invasion. 

Ukraine briefly:

Here is operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 6pm:

The enemy continues to focus on establishing full control over the territory of Donetsk oblast, maintaining the seized areas of Kherson, parts of Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia and Mykolaiv oblasts, restoring combat capability of the units that suffered losses.

Towards Volyn, Polissia and Siversk, the situation has not changed significantly. The enemy applied barrel artillery to shell civilian and military infrastructure in the areas of settlements of Katerynivka, Seredyna Buda, Shevchenkove, and Vilne, Sumy oblast.

Towards Kharkiv, the invaders continue hostilities to keep the occupied frontiers. There was shelling from tanks, barrel and rocket artillery near Andriivka, Borshchova, Husarivka, Petrivka, Pishchane, Ruski Tyshky, Shestakove, Slobozhanske, Slatyne, Varvarivka, Udy and Velyki Prokhody. The enemy also launched airstrikes near Bairak, Mospanove,  and Pervomaiske. There was aerial reconnaissance in the areas of Cherkaska Lozova, Pytomnyk, and Shestakove.

Towards Slovainsk, there were attempts to resume the offensive towards the settlement of Barvinkove. There was shelling near Brazhkivka, Bohorodychne, Chepil, and Kostiantynivka. The invaders launched airstrikes near Brazhkivka and Zalyman. They fought an offensive battle near Karnaukhivka, failed and withdrew. Aerial reconnaissance was conducted in the area of Nova Dmytrivka.

Towards Kramatorsk, the enemy fired barrel and rocket artillery in the areas of the settlements of Tetianivka, Ivano-Darivka, Zvanivka and Hryhorivka. The invaders launched airstrikes near Spirne and Siversk.

The enemy conducted aerial reconnaissance near Tatianivka.

Towards Bakhmut, the enemy inflicted fire damage from tanks, barreled artillery and MLRS in the areas of Bakhmut, Soledar, Shumy, Tikhonivka, and Vasiukivka. He used aircraft for strikes near Yakovlevka and Kodema.

The occupiers tried to conduct assault operations towards Bakhmut, Bakhmutske, Kodema and Soledar, yet failed.

Towards Avdiivka, the enemy shelled Halitsynivka, Marinka, Nevelske, New York, Novobakhmutivka, Netailove, Opytne, and Oleksandropol. There were airstrikes near Krasnohorivka, Pervomaisk, and Marinka.

The invaders tried to gain a foothold near Nevelske. They were repelled and withdrew.

Towards Novopavlivka, there was artillery shelling near Prechystivka, Pavlivka, Volodymyrivka and Zolota Nyva. The enemy aircraft hit Novomykhailovka and Volodymyrivka.

Towards Zaporizhzhia, the enemy shelled Dorozhnianka, Mala Tokmachka, Novoselka, Malynivka, Orikhiv, Poltavka, Vremivka, and Velykomykhailivka. There were  airstrikes launched near Olhivske and Huliaipole.

Towards the South Buh, the enemy continued shelling the settlements of Blahodatne, Chervona Dolyna, Ivanivka, Kvitneve, Kryvyi Rih, Luparevo, Mykolaiv, Novohryhorivka, Pervomaiske, Prybuzhske, Poliana, Potiomkine, Posad-Pokrovske, Partyzanske, Shyroke, Tavriiske, Trudoliubivka and Velyke Artakove. By launching airstrikes, the enemy tried to destroy important infrastructure facilities in the areas of Oleksandrivka, Lozove and Olhyne.

Our units continue to successfully carry out missile and artillery fire missions in certain areas and inflict losses on the occupiers in close battles.

The SSU detained the acting head of the Institute for Training of Legal Personnel of the Security Service of Yaroslav Mudryi Law University for treason. Currently, a pre-trial investigation is underway to establish all circumstances of the offense and bring to justice other parties involved in the crimes. At this time, a preventive measure in the form of detention has been chosen.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine appealed to UNESCO to intervene in the situation in the temporarily occupied territories. Russia blackmails parents to send their children to captured russified schools. “Amid resistance (of the local population), russia threatens parents in Kherson and Zaporizhia oblasts to send their children to boarding schools if they do not enroll them in schools seized by russians. Moscow uses education as a means of oppression. We call on UNESCO to urgently respond to this crime,” Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesman Oleh Nikolenko said on Twitter.

The Register of damaged and destroyed property was presented. This will include information about housing, transport, social and other infrastructure, which was destroyed during the russian invasion. This is a necessary step to form a policy of compensation for losses and reconstruction. Ukrainians are asked to submit applications through “Diia” so that the information appears in the register and can be considered when compensation is provided.

Eastern regions

Kharkiv oblast

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the enemy is shelling our positions and nearby settlements with tanks, barrel and rocket artillery. At least 13 settlements were attacked. The invaders continue engaging drones for aerial reconnaissance and fire adjustment. They unsuccessfully advanced towards Karnaukhivka and are trying to resume the offensive towards Barvinkove.

Head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleh Syniehubov, reported that there was no shelling of Kharkiv last night. The enemy struck Bohodukhiv, Chuhuiv and Kharkiv districts.

The enemy launched a missile strike on Chuhuiv, damaging an infrastructure facility. Preliminary, there were no casualties.

The enemy hit Derhachi city, an educational facility was destroyed. A woman was killed and a man injured. According to the prosecutor’s office, russians hit the city with an S-300 missile.

According to the Emergency Medical Service Centre, one person was killed and two injured in Chuhuiv district.

Kharkiv Mayor, Ihor Terekhov, said that the second shelter stop will be installed by Kharkiv City Council on Saltivka. According to him, Kharkiv has chosen 25 locations where such shelters will be installed.

Donetsk oblast

Head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, Pavlo Kyrylenko, informed that the enemy was most active in the communities of Bakhmut and Kramatorsk districts.

Four houses were damaged in Siversk as a result of the shelling. Information on casualties is being verified.

In Soledar community, Bakhmutske, Minkivka, Soledar, Vasiukivka and Yakovlivka were under fire. There were no casualties.

In Svitlodarsk community, Bakhmutka, Kodema, Maiorsk, Mykolaivka, Odradivka, Pisky and Zhovanka. Preliminary, there were no casualties.

In Kramatorsk district, russians hit two educational institutions the Chemical and Mechanical College in Sloviansk and a school in Mykolaivka. In addition, shelling damaged five residential buildings in Mykolaivka.

Starting from September 1, movement restrictions and a special light-masking regime will be in force in Donetsk oblast from 9 pm to 5 am.

Luhansk oblast

Head of the Luhansk Regional Military Administration, Serhii Haidai, reported that there will be no pseudo-referendum in the occupied territories any time soon. The occupation authorities are forced to postpone the “referendum” indefinitely due to the unstable security situation.

According to the head of the Luhansk Regional Military Administration, Serhii Haidai, the Donbas hotel in Kadiivka, where russian invaders were based since 2014, was shelled. Two hundred russian airborne troops died.

Based on the information provided by Luhansk Regional Prosecutor’s Office, the State Bureau of Investigation has opened more than 200 proceedings against law enforcers who betrayed their oath and went to the russian side.

 

Northern regions

Kyiv oblast

Bucha and the Israeli city of Rishon LeZion signed a cooperation agreement. During the meeting at the Bucha Town Council, the partners discussed the Safe City program, construction of a town police station and a memorial complex.

Another russian military officer, involved in killing civilians during the occupation of Kyiv oblast, has been identified. It has been revealed during investigation that one of the soldiers who shot two unarmed civilians in the back near the village of Mriya was a resident of the Republic of Buryatia, a platoon commander of the 5th Independent Tank Brigade, 36th Combined Arms Army, Eastern Military District of the Armed forces of the russian federation. The war crime was recorded by CCTV cameras.

Another cache with weapons and ammunition left by the russian army was found in Kyiv oblast. During an inspection of the de-occupied territories, the Ukrainian military and police found F-1 and RGD-5 grenades, a grenade launcher, and Piorun MANPAD in a house in Makariv region, as well as three self-propelled artillery shells and five Grad MLRS shells in a wooded area nearby.

The infrastructure restoration and construction of accommodation for those who lost their homes due to the russian aggression continues in cities and villages of Kyiv oblast. Lithuania will help build schools and mobile settlements in Borodianka and repair a kindergarten and a bridge in Irpin. Houses are being built as part of the “Yevrokurin” project in Moschun village. It is planned to erect free temporary accommodation and space for working and studying remotely for 15 families in Vorzel within 100 days.

Law enforcers have neutralised an organized criminal group that collaborated with the russian military during the temporary occupation of Bucha region. According to the SSU, members of the crime group helped the enemy navigate our territory, select locations for firing positions and checkpoints, and provided addresses of Ukrainian patriots.

95% of schools in Kyiv oblast will adopt mixed-education form in the new school year. In-person classes will only be conducted in establishments which have shelters or located close to them. As of today, 132K students are planning to study offline.

Zhytomyr oblast

A JFO veteran Yaroslava Mazur from Berdychiv has won a bronze medal at the Warrior Games in the United States. This is a competition held among war veterans disabled or injured in action. According to the Regional Department of National-Patriotic Education, Youth and Sports, Yaroslava Mazur won the bronze medal in powerlifting competitions in the weight category up to 55 kilograms.

According to the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, 16 medical institutions will form a hospital cluster in Zhytomyr oblast. 2 hospitals have been identified as supercluster hospitals, 5 – as cluster hospitals, and 9 – as general hospitals out of 16 medical institutions. After forming hospital clusters, the patient will be admitted exactly to the hospital corresponding to their condition and will have the necessary equipment for diagnosis and treatment.

Before the new school year, Zhytomyr volunteers donated the first 160 backpacks to children of internally displaced persons who found themselves in a difficult situation and children of defenders of Ukraine killed in the russian-Ukrainian war. The School Backpack Project is implemented by the Volunteer Headquarters of Zhytomyr together with “Save Ukraine” Charitable Foundation.

In the Malyn community of Korosten district, locals found an element of Uragan MLRS munition in the forest near the village of Bilyi Bereh while gathering mushrooms. This was reported by the State Emergency Service of Zhytomyr oblast. EOD technicians arrived at the scene to neutralize the dangerous finding.

The Zhytomyr City Employment Center offers supportive training for the unemployed. An applied psychologist Hryhoriy Khmelnytskyi conducted  “Developing emotional maturity and resilience in war conditions”.

Sumy oblast

The enemy bombarded the border areas with phosphorous ammunition from MLRS, fired from barrel artillery and mortars. The State Border Service of Ukraine reported that the communities of Velyka Pysarivka, Khotyn, Bilopillia, Shalygine, and Seredina-Buda of the Sumy oblast came under enemy fire.

A forest massif was fired due to enemy shelling on the territory of the Velyka Pysarivka community. 18 personnel and 3 units of special equipment of the State Emergency Service were involved in extinguishing the fire.

The Sumy RMA reported that russians fired from grenade launchers on the territory of the Bilopillia community. There were 5 hits. The russians opened fire on the territory of the Velyka Pysarivka community from mortars (6 hits) and Grad MLRS (40 hits).

Since the beginning of the war, 1 667 private residential buildings and 113 educational institutions have been damaged by actions of russian war criminals in the oblast. 643 objects have been restored, including 32 educational institutions, 16 healthcare institutions, 108 multi-apartment residential buildings and 381 residential buildings.

Sumy RMA reported that work has begun on restoration of the thermal power plant in Okhtyrka, destroyed by rashists.

Dmytro Zhyvytskyi, head of Sumy RMA, reported that the oblast is preparing the conditions for service in winter by military personnel who defend Sumy oblast.

He also announced that work is being carried out on implementation of the “Social Bread” project, so that the socially vulnerable population can purchase the product at cost price in Sumy oblast.

At the session of the Lipova Dolyna settlement council, deputies voted for distance learning in all educational institutions of the Lipova Dolyna settlement council in the 2022-2023 academic year.

Representatives of the International Committee of the Red Cross visited KP “Miskvodokanal”. They provided humanitarian aid to the enterprise – two mobile multifunctional welding units, a device for thermistor welding of polyethylene pipes and a generator. The utility company also received plastic tanks of various volumes for supplying technical water to city residents in case of emergency.

The Okhtyrka City Council continues to cooperate with international organizations, foundations and donors from around the world to help rebuild the community’s infrastructure. As reported by the city council, from August 26 to 30, representatives of the Red Cross Society of Ukraine will carry out work on registering damaged windows in the territory of the city of Okhtyrka.

On August 29 and 30, the Sumy City Center of Social Services will issue baby formula.

Chernihiv oblast

The SBGS reported that the russians bombarded the border areas with phosphorous ammunition from MLRS, fired from barrel artillery and mortars yesterday. Novgorod-Siverskyi, Horodianka communities of Chernihiv oblast came under enemy fire.

A meeting with General Director of “ROCKWOOL Ukraine” Serhiy Kurdyukov took place at RMA. “ROCKWOOL Ukraine” is a powerful manufacturer in the field of construction, which is ready to help Chernihiv oblast. Over 90% of destroyed or war-damaged buildings in the oblast are civilian infrastructure and housing.

The head of the RMA Vyacheslav Chaus met with the member of the French Parliament Frédéric Petit, who visited Chernihiv oblast. Further cooperation in the restoration of the oblast was discussed.

The SBGS reported that Volyn pyrotechnicians continue demining Chernihiv oblast. During the month, they surveyed 72.8 hectares of the area, removed and destroyed almost a hundred explosive items.

Construction of a dual purpose protective structure in one of the lyceums of the Chernihiv district is underway. Currently, the premises is about 70% ready. The facility was inspected by Zhanna Sherstyuk, deputy head of RMA.

The city council reported that apartment buildings damaged during active hostilities are being restored In Chernihiv. 120 high-rise buildings will be restored using the funds of the city budget. These are the structures damaged by direct hits and, according to experts, require major repairs. 103 million hryvnias were allocated from the local treasury.

The Mayor of Chernihiv, Vladyslav Atroschenko, advised that schools in Chernihiv, which do not have shelters and will not be able to receive students, plan to house those who have lost their homes. 

On the Independence Day of Ukraine, the German city of Halle held a thanksgiving event. Ukrainians, notably many residents of Chernihiv, took to the streets to thank the people of Germany for their sensitivity and hospitality.

 

Central regions

Dnipropetrovsk oblast

According to the head of the Dnipropetrovsk regional council, Mykola Lukashuk, the enemy attacked Synelnykivskyi, Nikopolskyi and Kryvorizkyi districts at night again.

The occupiers struck Synelnykovskyi distrikt with rockets. In the Mezhyvsk community, a company building was hit, and a fire broke out. Equipment was also damaged.

Warehouses of the agricultural association were destroyed in the Velykomykhailiv community. The buildings were empty. No one was hurt.

The enemy shelled three communities of the Nikopol district from Grad MLRS and barrel artillery. In Marganets, an administration building was damaged. In Nikopol, more than two dozen private houses and commercial buildings, a school, a sanatorium were affected, and the power line was damaged. There was no destruction in Chervonohryhorivska TC. People were not injured.

The occupiers hit the Zelenodol community in Kryvyi Rih district and Velyka Kostromka with Grad and Hurricane 4 times in a day, damaging industrial buildings. A 63-year-old woman was injured.

In Chaplyne, Dnipropetrovsk region, they bade farewell to two dead children, a six-year-old Matvii and an eleven-year-old Vladyslav. At the moment of death, both were at home with their parents. On August 24, russian terrorist forces attacked the railway, killing 25 people and wounding 42.

According to the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration Valentyn Reznichenko, farmers in Dnipropetrovsk oblast have finished harvesting early crops, almost 2.3 million tons of wheat, barley, peas, rye and oats. In total, they plan to collect more than 3 million tons of grain. 

Vinnytsia oblast

A photo exhibition “Ukrainian Mariupol” launched at the “I am Mariupol” aid center in Vinnytsia where 15 works of photographers from Mariupol were presented. The photo shows streets, central squares, fountains and happy people during celebration of the Independence Day of Ukraine in Mariupol before the russian full-scale invasion.

Kirovohrad oblast

In Kropyvnytskyi, preparations are being made for a possible outbreak of monkeypox. To this end, the medical team of the laboratory center and wards in two hospitals have been prepared. As of August 25, there have been no cases of this disease.

Poltava oblast

Dmytro Lunin, head of Poltava RMA, reported that the emergency medical workers of two largest cities of Poltava region received overalls from Canada and Germany. Doctors of Kremenchuk and ambulance brigades in Poltava received 40 kits for work during emergency situations. Hamburg donated an ultrasound machine to one of the regional medical facilities.  

Cherkasy oblast

Artem Lukashuk from Cherkasy won three medals as part of the Ukrainian team at the 2022 Warrior Games in the US. He announced this on his Facebook page. The Warrior Games are currently underway in Orlando. The athlete added gold in the 100- and 200-meter races and silver in the 4×100-meter relay to our victories list. He dedicated all his victories to Ukraine and its soldiers.

Southern regions

Zaporizhzhia oblast

The situation in the Zaporizhzhia direction has not changed significantly.  The enemy concentrates its main efforts on holding the occupied positions. 

The enemy shelled Velykomykhailivka, Huliaipilske, Malynivka, Bilohiria, Dorozhnianka, Charivne, Orikhiv, Mala Tokmachka, Shevchenko, Vremivka, Shcherbaky, Novosilka, Poltavka, and Novopil.

Yesterday the police received 32 reports of enemy armed attacks on populated areas of the region.

The police recorded damage to residential buildings in the city of Orikhiv, the villages of Preobrazhenka and Novodariivka. As a result of the enemy shelling of Stepnohirsk, the houses, utility and garage premises were destroyed. A minor was fatally injured. Other citizens with shrapnel wounds were hospitalized.

According to Enerhoatom, the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant is connected to the power grid and produces electricity for Ukraine’s needs.

Ivan Fedorov, mayor of Melitopol, announced that the occupiers brought about 10 chemical laboratories to Melitopol in case of a radiation hazard at the Zaporizhzhya NPP. They want to save their leadership. 

Dmytro Orlov, Enerhodar mayor, announced that the power supply has been restored in the temporarily occupied Enerhodar. 

The State Bureau of Investigation reported the suspicion of treason to nine law enforcement officers who voluntarily agreed to serve in the so-called “people’s militia” in the temporarily occupied cities of Tokmak and Melitopol, Zaporizhzhia oblast.

1 622 people, including 470 children, were evacuated from the temporarily occupied territory.

Zaporizhzhia oblast is going to experience the most difficult heating season. 269 settlements in the region (about 570K people) have been left without gas supply as a result of damage to main gas pipelines caused by the enemy. 72 settlements remain without power more than 50K people are without electricity.

Mykolaiv oblast

The enemy shelled Mykolaiv district with S-300 missiles again. The building of the Nadbuzke Professional Agrarian Lyceum was destroyed. The fire was extinguished, 2 civilians were injured.

The Shyroke community was shelled from tanks. There is damage to private and administrative buildings, and power lines. There are no casualties.

Mykolaiv, Bereznehuvate, Zeleny Hai, and Lupareve were under enemy attacks. A multi-apartment residential building, utility facility, agricultural machinery, farm territory were damaged.

Suspicion of a propagandist who supported the war and publicly denied the armed russian aggression against Ukraine was reported in Mykolaiv oblast. This is announced by the Office of the Security Service of Ukraine in Mykolaiv oblast. Currently, the suspect has been informed of suspicion.

Mykolaiv Regional Employment Center reported that the number of unemployed continues to grow in Mykolaiv oblast. As of August 26, 15.5K unemployed people were registered in Mykolaiv oblast. This is 29% more than during the same period of 2021. 

Odesa oblast

The ship-boat group of the enemy fleet continues to hide behind the Crimean coast in the stormy Black Sea. It keeps 2 surface and 1 underwater missile carriers equipped with 20 Calibers on standby.

Autumn sowing has started in Odesa oblast. Winter wheat, winter barley, rye and winter rape remain main crops in the region. Currently, almost 20K hectares of fields have been sown in the region.

The first mobile shelter is planned to be installed in Odesa at the end of September. The project was developed by SafePalace4UA activists. Mobile shelters are made of reinforced concrete with armored doors. They can accommodate 18 people. After installation, the structure will be handed over to rescuers.

Kherson oblast

The “South” Operational Command reports that the enemy remains in occupied defensive positions in conditions of personnel demoralization and logistical support complications. 

During the night, the enemy attacked our positions along the contact line with a pair of Ka-52 attack helicopters without our losses.

In the morning, a pair of Ukrainian Mi-8s struck the buildup of the enemy’s manpower, weapons and equipment near Visokopillia.

Ukrainian aviation struck the areas of concentration of units and ammunition depots in Arkhangelsk and Burhanivka, as well as enemy air defense facilities in Kherson and Novovoskresensk.

Rocket and artillery units hit the Dariiv bridge. Its operation is currently stopped.

Confirmed enemy losses during the night are 27 occupiers and a 120-mm mobile mortar. The rest of the losses are being clarified.

In the course of firing missions, rocket-artillery units struck enemy buildups in Snihurivka, Novovoskresenske, and Chkalov.

The Prosecutor General’s Office reported suspicion of espionage to an employee of the russian FSB. He engaged in espionage the serviceman and the deputy head of the Security Service of Ukraine department in Kherson oblast.

The prosecutor’s office reported in notice of the suspicion of collaborative activity to a resident of Kherson oblast, who voluntarily cooperates with representatives of the military occupation administration. The investigators established that after the occupation of Henichesk district, the man voluntarily switched to the russian side and agreed to assume the position of the so-called “head of the road and postal service department.”

The russian military continues to kidnap people for their pro-Ukrainian position in the temporarily occupied Kherson and the villages of the region. Abductees are subject to physical violence and torture. The russian military kidnapped three men and a woman in the regional center.

Kherson RMA reported that the russian military records the passport data of local residents living near their military facilities. In case of damage to these objects, people are threatened with “punishment” for allegedly adjusting the fire. 

The training format will depend on the security situation in the Kherson oblast. Children will be able to study in different formats family, remote, full-time in two shifts with independent mastery of some disciplines and in the format of an externship. Children who are in temporarily occupied territories, in a war zone or abroad can choose an individual form of education.

 

Western regions

Volyn oblast

During 5 months of operation of the Frontline pickup initiative in Volyn, 112 cars were sent to Ukrainian defenders.

An artist from Lutsk, Andriy Prysiazhnyuk, joined the Ukrzaliznytsia project Train to Victory and painted one of the carriages. Ukrainian artists painted 7 carriages, each of them is dedicated to temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine and feats of people resisting russian troops.

The exhibition Road to the Independence was opened in the Volyn Museum of Local Lore. Among exhibits is the rocket wreckage hitting the Lutsk airfield.

In Lutsk, children have set up an improvised roadblock and are collecting funds for the Armed Forces to speed up victory. The guys have been staying at the checkpoint all day. About UAH 3K are collected every day. The funds are donated to the needs of the Armed Forces.

Zakarpattia oblast

The RMA reported that as a result of new waves of evacuation of Ukrainians from dangerous regions in Zakarpattia, the number of IDPs is increasing. This number is over 410K people, over 233K of them have already received financial assistance from foreign organizations.

In Zakarpattia, a working meeting was held with the chairman of the board of JSC Ukrzaliznytsia Oleksandr Kamyshin. Opening of the railway connection Uzhhorod – Sighet Marmatsi (Romania) was on the agenda.

The RMA reported that a meeting with Hungarian partners on establishment of cooperation in the field of environment, waste management and riverbed cleaning from garbage was held in the RMA.

A meeting was held in the city council with representatives of the city council of Pokrovsk located in Donetsk oblast. They discussed accommodation of Pokrovsk residents in Uzhhorod.

The RMA Viktor Mykyta announced that Kazakhstan will contribute to the development of sheep breeding in Zakarpattia.

The RMA reported that educational institutions of Zakarpattia and Austria will cooperate in the field of winemaking and viticulture development.

In the RMA, a meeting was held with boxers who recently became European champions, their coaches and representatives of the Zakarpattia Oblast Boxing Federation. Head of the RMA Viktor Mykyta emphasized that despite the state of war, the oblast will look for opportunities to help sports of all levels – from amateur to sports of the highest achievements.

The Zakarpattia RMA reported that the RMA, together with the ADRA charitable foundation, continues to organize recreation for children of military personnel and forced displaced people. Thanks to cooperation, over 350 children are having fun this summer in the camps of Volovechchyna and Rakhivshchyna.

Head of the RMA Victor Mykyta visited the Kyiv company Zibrano, relocated to Irshav region due to the war. The company is engaged in production of energy-efficient houses and can manufacture such housing for IDPs.

Ivano-Frankivsk oblast

The RMA held a meeting on changes in the field of land relations under martial law.

A meeting with Government Commissioner for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Tetyana Barantsova took place in the RMA. Ivano-Frankivsk oblast has received over 500 people from socially vulnerable population groups since the full-scale invasion began. This is the highest indicator in the entire country.

The RMA reported that funds for the burial of military personnel and people with disabilities who suffered as a result of the war will be allocated from the regional budget.

Lviv oblast

The Lviv City Council reported that in Lviv, part of a building collapsed at night. Before it happened, the residents called the police, who managed to evacuate the residents in time. There were no injuries. There are 14 apartments in the building, 3 of them have been destroyed. 2 non-residential premises nearby were also destroyed. The causes of the collapse are being investigated.

A meeting with the Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Serhiy Shkarlet was held at the RMA. The beginning of the school year in safe conditions was discussed.

In Lviv oblast, curfew passes were canceled for members of volunteer territorial defense involved in special tasks. A certificate of a volunteer of territorial defense will suffice.

Lviv Oblast was the best to prepare educational institutions in Ukraine for the beginning of the school year. 87% of them have shelters and can accept children for full-time education.

The Lviv RMA received two drones from volunteers of the Loyal and Courageous charity foundation, including a DJI MAVIC 3 with a night vision camera. The equipment will be sent to the brigades in which Lviv defenders are fighting.

A two-day training for teams of volunteers of Spivdiya hubs began. The participants were volunteers from 22 cities of Ukraine – Donetsk, Odesa, Kyiv, Zaporizhzhia, Kharkiv, Lviv and others.

An exhibition of photographs of authentic Ukrainian costumes and interiors was presented near the Lviv Academy of Arts. The project was implemented thanks to the Texas public organization Ukrainian San Antonio (USA) and the public organization Center for Social and Cultural Development Promotion Initiatives in Ukraine.

In Lviv, a ceramic artist from Luxembourg Pascal Vostelandt held a pottery masterclass for young Lviv residents.

In the Mykolayiv community in the Stryi region, a charity run was held in the city to support the prisoners of war defenders of Azovstal. The campaign Running for the Azov Regiment was held on the occasion of the Independence Day of Ukraine. UAH 5K raised from the race were used to support the fighters of the Azov regiment.

In August, 635 children visited the Artek-Prykarpattia Children’s Health Camp in Truskavets. The vouchers were purchased by the department of social protection of the population of Lviv oblast using the funds from the regional budget.

Rivne oblast

A meeting with representatives of the foreign delegation for coordination of the UN Office, representatives of charitable foundations and public organizations of the oblast took place in the RMA. The aid to displaced persons and vulnerable categories of Rivne oblast residents was discussed.

Mayor of Rivne Oleksandr Tretyak held a zoom meeting with president of the city of Zabrze (Republic of Poland) Malgozhata Manka-Shulik. They considered potential future cooperation between firefighters and rescuers of both cities.

The Regional Coordinator of the Commissioner for Persons Disappeared Under Special Circumstances of the Ministry for Reintegration of Temporarily Occupied Territories will work in Rivne oblast.

On August 26 and 29, at the volunteer headquarters in Rivne, food packages from the international humanitarian organization World Central Kitchen will be distributed to the displaced.

Residents of the Boremel community bought the fourth car for the Armed Forces.

Ternopil oblast

At the session of the Ternopil Regional Council, the deputies voted unanimously to recognize the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the moscow patriarchate a church hostile to Ukraine.

A convoy of 5K believers of the UOC of the moscow patriarchate is moving from Khmelnytskyi oblast through Ternopil. The authorities of the Ternopil oblast have adopted restrictions on holding of such events in the oblast, but participants of the procession ignore bans. They are moving toward Pochaev. The Pochaiv Assumption Lavra is located there, which is leased by the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of Ukraine.

A rally against the activities of the moscow patriarchate on the territory of Ukraine was held near the Ternopil RMA. An additional wave of indignation was caused by the procession of believers of the moscow church to Pochayev, despite the ban of the Regional Defense Council to organize mass events.

41 residents of Ternopil were awarded the title of Honorary Citizen of the City of Ternopil, 39 of them posthumously at the session of the Ternopil Regional Council. This title is awarded for a significant contribution to the protection of sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.

The RMA reported that almost 2K parents of schoolchildren of internally displaced persons have already submitted applications to study in schools of Ternopil oblast offline.

On the eve of the National Flag Day of Ukraine, Galina Matsykur from Ternopil climbed to the top of Mount Ararat, on the border of Armenia and Turkey and at an altitude of 5 135 meters and flew the Ukrainian flag.

Khmelnytskyi oblast

Humanitarian aid, beds, mattresses, wheelchairs, chairs and medical equipment, was delivered to the humanitarian hub at the Khmelnytskyi RMA with the assistance of the Avangard volunteer formation. In the near future, the cargo will be distributed to the places where displaced persons stay.

Head of Khmelnytskyi RMA Serhiy Gamalii presented state awards to the families of the fallen Heroes.

In the Shepetiv region, Terentiev couple, who moved from Berdyansk, sent golden coins to volunteers on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of Ukraine’s Independence, to be sold at an auction for the needs of the Armed Forces.­­­­­­­­­­­­

Chernivtsi oblast

The Department of Education and Science of the Chernivtsi Oblast has published survey results of parents about the beginning of the new school year. 48% of Bukovyna parents are ready to send their children to school.

According to the Wi-Fi in shelters initiative of the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, 62 schools in Bukovyna already have Wi-Fi in shelters and about 200 have applied for connection. This will allow students to continue their studies during air raids from shelters.

The RMA reported that Orphans of Bukovyna received help from the Hope Foundation. Benefactors donated food, hygiene products, stationery, etc. to communal institutions where orphans live. 

 

International support

Taiwan transferred 800 short-range Revolver 860 bomber drones to Ukraine.

Lithuania will purchase 37 Polish Warmate kamikaze drones for Ukrainian fighters. To this end, Lithuanians collected over 1 million euros.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belgium reported that Belgium allocated €8 million for non-military support of the Armed Forces.

As part of the aid project from the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) and the Government of Japan, the State Service of Ukraine for Emergency Situations and the Humanitarian Hub Zhytomyr received over 100 tons of humanitarian cargo special equipment for rescuers, medicines and communication equipment.

The Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal announced that Ukraine will receive visa-free customs from the EU already on October 1.

The adviser to the Minister of Energy of Ukraine Lana Zerkal stated that the visit of the IAEA mission to the Zaporizhzhia NPP is scheduled for next week.

The US Embassy in belarus announced that the US intends to bring lukashenko regime to justice for supporting the russian invasion of Ukraine.

The general director of the Turkish company Baykar Haluk Bayraktar stated that his company has no intention to sell Bayraktar TB2 drones to russia. He noted that his company is “fully on the side of Ukraine.”

Deputy Head of the Office of the President Andrii Sybiga received from the Ambassador of Japan to Ukraine Kuninori Matsuda a congratulatory letter from His Majesty the Emperor of Japan Naruhito, addressed to the President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on the occasion of the 31st anniversary of restoration of Ukraine’s Independence.

Head of the largest faction of the European Parliament of the European People’s Party, Manfred Weber, supported the ban on issuing tourist visas for citizens of the russian federation. At the same time, Weber noted that the borders of the EU will be open for those who want to escape from russia.

The Prime Minister of Finland called for tougher sanctions against the russian federation. Sanna Marin also admitted that the West should have acted tougher from the start than it did.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported that as part of the Ukraine Street campaign, about 20 streets and squares in 14 countries of the world were renamed or named after Ukraine as a sign of solidarity with Ukraine. This was done by the Czech Republic, Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, Albania, Slovakia, Norway, Canada, Hungary, Estonia, Sweden, France, Iceland, Luxembourg, and the USA. At the same time, in six countries (Czech Republic, Lithuania, Latvia, Albania, Norway, Canada), the streets and squares where russian diplomatic institutions are located received Ukrainian names.
