What happened in Ukraine today:
Here is operational information of the General Staff as of 4 pm:
On 10 November, there were 108 combat engagements in the frontline. Ukrainian defenders are stopping the enemy, holding the line and disrupting russians’ plans. At the same time, the occupiers continue to be active towards Kurakhove, Pokrovsk and Vremiivka.
A number of settlements in Sumy and Kharkiv oblasts, including Pavlivka, Hrabovske, Rozhkovychi, Dmytrivka, Basivka and Tymofiivka, suffered from the shelling of the terrorist army.
Towards Kharkiv, the occupiers are conducting two attacks in the vicinity of Starytsia and Vovchansk, and the invaders dropped an air bomb on the outskirts of Kharkiv.
Towards Kupiansk, the enemy tried to advance to Ukrainian positions in the vicinity of Kindrashivka and Zelenyi Hai twice.
Towards Lyman, the aggressor attacked three times in the vicinity of Terny, Torske and Serebryanka. One firefight is still ongoing.
Towards Kramatorsk, Ukrainian defenders repelled one attack near Stupochky. Another firefight is still ongoing in this area. The enemy launched four airstrikes on Sloviansk.
Towards Toretsk, the enemy, with the support of aviation, attacked Ukrainian troops’ positions eight times near Toretsk and Shcherbynivka, and also launched an airstrike near Kostiantynivka.
Fighting continues towards Pokrovsk, with 15 clashes of varying intensity. Attacks were repelled in the vicinity of Myroliubivka, Promin, Hryhorivka, Selydove and Petrivka. Currently, six battles are still ongoing in the vicinity of Promin, Krutyi Yar, Sukhyi Yar, Selydove and Hryhorivka. The enemy dropped aerial bombs on Lysivka and Kotlyne.
The enemy is still active towards Kurakhove. The enemy tried to break through Ukrainian defense 39 times. Ukrainian soldiers repelled the enemy’s attacks near Illinka, Vozdvyzhenka, Novoselydivka, Novodmitrivka, Sontsivka, Maksymilianivka, Dalne and Katerynivka. 19 attacks were repelled, and 20 attacks continue.
Towards Vremivka, the aggressor attacked 13 times in the vicinity of Trudove, Konstantinopolske, Uspenivka and Makarivka.
Towards Orikhiv, the occupiers tried to break through Ukrainian defenses in the vicinity of Mala Tokmachka, while at the same time they launched airstrikes on Temyrivka, Novodarivka and Zelenyi Pole.
The situation towards Kherson remained unchanged. The enemy conducted four unsuccessful assaults, and one battle is still ongoing. The enemy attacked Olhivka with twelve multiple rocket launchers.
There were no significant changes in the situation in the rest of the sectors.
Ukrainian troops are controlling the situation and depleting the enemy along the entire frontline and in the rear.
The Ukrainian Air Force reports that on Sunday night, russia launched 145 drones across the territory of Ukraine. Air defense destroyed 62 UAVs, another 67 were lost locally, and 10 flew into Moldova, Belarus, and russia.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy says that this week, russia used 800 guided aerial bombs on the territory of Ukraine. It also launched about 600 attack drones and almost 20 missiles of various types.
Recent war events in the east of Ukraine
Kharkiv oblast
Kharkiv Joint Task Force reports that towards Kharkiv, russia fired 26 unguided aerial missiles over the day, making a total of 354 attacks on Ukrainian positions. russia’s losses in the north of the oblast amounted to 95 people over the day.
Oleh Syniehubov, Head of the RMA, says that the russian army struck at Kyivskyi district of Kharkiv. The hit occurred in a forest belt, as reported by Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov. According to preliminary information, there were no damages or injuries.
On 9 November, at 22:17, Kharkiv was shelled. The shell hit the ground in Slobodskyi district. The windows of a shop and two multi-storey residential buildings were damaged. A woman of 64 years old was injured.
On November 10 at 02:33, Chuhuiv community was shelled. The regional Prosecutor’s Office said that as a result of the repeated hits two apartments were burning. A 4-storey residential building was partially damaged. A 36-year-old man and a 40-year-old woman were injured. A 17-year-old girl and a 10-year-old boy were also injured as a result of the strike on Chuhuiv community. Another 40-year-old woman was injured in nighttime drone strikes on Chuhuiv. She is the mother of the 17-year-old victim. The woman suffered minor injuries and an acute stress reaction, and was treated on the spot.
On November 10 at 00:37, Chuhuiv community was shelled. The shrapnel of a Shahed hit the hinged roof of the entrance of a 4-storey residential building. The windows of the residential building and 5 cars were damaged.
At 13:45, Borova village, Izium region was shelled. A car was hit. The store was partially damaged.
At 11:18, Kupiansk was shelled. The shelling damaged two multi-storey buildings and two private houses. Three men of 35, 49 and 61 years old were injured.
At 11:10, Kupiansk was damaged. Private households and apartment buildings, outbuildings were damaged, 40 garages were destroyed. A man and a woman died.
At 09:22, Prudianka village, Kharkiv region was shelled. The shelling damaged 5 private houses and a car. A 60-year-old man was wounded.
The regional prosecutor’s office reported that on November 9, in Kolisnykivka village, Kupyansk region a 63-year-old man was wounded as a result of shelling. He was hospitalized in a serious condition.
The regional Prosecutor’s Office reports that a 55-year-old woman was injured in the shelling of Kupiansk. At about 10:50 a.m., the russian army fired, preliminarily, from the Uragan MLRS. Residential buildings were damaged.
The Prosecutor’s Office added that on November 9, a 58-year-old woman was wounded in Kolisnykivka as a result of shelling.
Towards Kharkiv, the enemy conducted two offensives in the vicinity of Vovchansk.
The number of combat engagements towards Kupyansk reached nine over the last day. Ukrainian defense forces repelled the occupiers’ attacks in the vicinity of Kucherivka, Kruhliakivka and Lozove.
53 people were evacuated from Kupiansk and Borova sectors.
Donetsk oblast
the General Staff reports that the Armed Forces of Ukraine repelled most of the attacks towards Pokrovsk and Kurakhove.
Defense forces continue to hold back the russian army towards Kurakhove. In the vicinity of Illinka, Novoselydivka, Novodmytrivka, Maksymilianivka, Dalne, Katerynivka and Antonivka, the occupiers tried to break through Ukrainian defenses 40 times.
Towards Pokrovsk, the Armed Forces of Ukraine stopped 39 attacks. russian troops were most active near Promin, Lysivka and Hryhorivka.
The RMA said that the russian army shelled Pokrovsk community with drones and bombs yesterday. At about 07:20 on November 9, a man born in 1957 sustained life-threatening injuries when a shell hit the yard of a private house in Chumatske village.
At 15:00, the russian army conducted two air strikes with FAB-250 bombs with an UMPK module in the eastern part of Pokrovsk, damaging 12 private houses and a gas pipeline. The shelling resulted in two fires, one of which took over 7 hours to extinguish. Half an hour later, at 15:30, an FPV drone hit the outskirts of Pokrovsk, injuring two men born in 1995 and 1982, and damaging a Mersedes Sprinter.
The technology of making ground Slavic ceramics from red clay is recognized as an intangible cultural heritage of Donetsk oblast. Due to the full-scale invasion of russia, there is a threat of its loss. Until February 24, 2024, more than a thousand ceramists in Sloviansk community of Donetsk oblast owned it. Today, about 150 are working at the factory.
Petro Andriushchenko, Advisor to the mayor of Mariupol, says that on the night of November 10, an occupiers’ air defense base was attacked near Mariupol airport. At least four explosions were heard, and a fire broke out after the air defense system was triggered. According to preliminary information, one of the air defense units was hit.
Olena Rudenko, representative of Donetsk regional prosecutor’s office, informs that on November 10, russian troops allegedly fired an FPV drone at a car traveling towards Novotroitske village, Pokrovsk region. A 60-year-old passenger was killed. In addition, a 61-year-old man was wounded as a result of the shelling of Kurakhove.
Operational situation in the region as of the morning of 10 November:
Volnovakha district. An administrative building was damaged in Oleksiivka of Velykonovosilkivka community.
Pokrovsk district. A person was wounded in Kurakhove, numerous buildings in the town center were damaged. In Pokrovsk, 2 people were wounded, 19 private houses were damaged; a person died in Chumatske.
Kramatorsk district. A house was destroyed in Stavky of Lyman community. An enterprise and 2 infrastructure facilities were damaged in Kostiantynivka, 5 houses were damaged in Markove, and 1 more in Novomarkove.
Bakhmut district. A multi-storey building was destroyed in Siversk. In Chasiv Yar community, 11 private houses, a multi-storey building and 3 outbuildings were shelled.
In total, russians fired 13 times at the oblast settlements. 103 people were evacuated from the front line, including 21 children.
Vadym Filashkin, Head of Donetsk Military Administration, says that russians killed 1 resident of Donetsk oblast in Chumatske over the past day. Another 3 people were wounded.
Luhansk oblast
Until late at night, our defenders repelled the enemy assault near Hrekivka. The invaders are sparing no effort in their attempts to advance. In addition, during the day, several enemy attacks were stopped near Bilohorivka, Balka Zhuravka and the same Hrekivka. During the offensive, the occupiers used bombers – in particular, they struck Tverdokhlibove. The russians fired artillery at Makiivka and Balka Zhuravka. They sent 31 unmanned aerial vehicles toward these villages.
Artem Lysohor, Head of Luhansk RMA, says that in the so-called ‘lpr’, participation of students in the propaganda ‘movement of the first’ has become mandatory. Before that, joining the kremlin’s organization was supposedly voluntary, but it was imposed in various ways, creating obstacles in the educational process and preventing them from participating in public initiatives. From now on, these students are automatically enrolled in this ‘movement’.’
In Siverskodonetsk, the heating system in a number of high-rise buildings was ruptured in basements when the heating was supplied. The situation in these buildings is an emergency.
What is happening now in the north of Ukraine
Kyiv oblast
The RMA reported that the enemy continues massive UAV attacks in Kyiv oblast. At night, the alert lasted more than 10 hours. There were no hits to critical or residential infrastructure. As of 8:30am, a private house, a fence and an outbuilding were damaged in one of the districts as a result of the falling debris. In another area, the debris from the downed UAVs damaged a utility room, a fence and caused a grass floor to catch fire.
Kyiv City Military Administration reported that the Ukrainian Defence Forces used various methods to neutralise about a dozen russian drones that threatened the capital in the morning of 10 November.
The Ministry of Education and Science reported that the $1.25 million raised by UNITED24 will be used to rebuild the Krasyliv and Katiuzhanka lyceums in Kyiv oblast. The reconstruction work is expected for completion by the end of this year.
A temporary bridge over the Teteriv river near a village on the border of Vyshhorod and Bucha regions was opened in Kyiv oblast. The previous bridge, which was destroyed by a russian missile attack in March 2022, will be overhauled. However, a temporary bridge with a length of almost 56 metres was built to ensure that community members do not lose time on detours.
Kyiv regional Prosecutor’s Office reported that an indictment against the commander of the Krasnoyarsk Territorial Department of the russian Guard had been sent to court. According to the case file, on 25 February 2022, the russian military opened fire with assault rifles and shot two civilians who were travelling in a car on the road. The man and woman died on the spot from their injuries. The police of Kyiv oblast recalled that on 25 February 2022, the russian occupiers in Hostomel shot 12 cars with civilians using all types of weapons.
The State Border Guard Service reported that in Kyiv, Finnish volunteers handed over aid to medics of the 15th Mobile Border Guard Detachment ‘Steel Frontier’. Volunteers from the island of Åland, led by Monika Von Frankel, handed over an ambulance, a truck, a car, two boats, a carriage and equipment for heating staff and patients in stabilisation centres at the front line.
Kherson – People Like Strings, the cultural and artistic project of Kherson Regional Military Administration was presented at the Ukrainian House in Kyiv. The aim of the project is to show how the culture of Kherson oblast continues to live and develop despite the difficult conditions, shelling, and destruction of cultural centres and libraries.
The graffiti by Banksy from Hostomel, which was previously stolen, will be kept in Kyiv Pechersk Lavra. It is a mural depicting a woman wearing curlers and a robe with a fire extinguisher. Banksy created this drawing on a building destroyed by russian missiles after the de-occupation of Kyiv oblast in 2022.
Zhytomyr oblast
The SES of Zhytomyr oblast reported that new teams of Zhytomyr pyrotechnics and paramedics replaced the previous ones in Kherson oblast.
In Berdychiv, the monument to the Victory of the Soviet People in World War II, erected in 1965, is being dismantled on Evropeiska Street. A memorial to the defenders of Ukraine is to be erected in its place.
The staff of the Dzvinochok kindergarten in Novohuyva is preparing to participate in a charity fair in Japan. They are making motanka dolls for a Christmas display and didukhs. The proceeds from the sale will be donated to the needs of the Ukrainian military.
Sumy oblast
Daria Dariko, Head of Svesa community reported that on 10 November, the russian army shelled Svesa community in Sumy oblast. A 52-year-old man was killed as a result of the shelling, and three residents were injured.
During night and morning, russians carried out 36 shelling attacks on border areas and settlements in Sumy oblast, resulting in 69 explosions. The attacks targeted Sumy, Bezdryk, Khotin, Yunakivka, Krasnopillia, Bilopillia, Myropilia, Velyka Pysarivka, Shalyhyne, Dbuzhbivka, Svesa, and Seredyna-Buda communities.
On 8 November, russians carried out 74 shelling attacks on border areas and settlements in Sumy oblast, resulting in 131 explosions. The attacks targeted Khotin, Yunakivka, Bilopillia, Krasnopillia, Velyka Pysarivka, Nova Slobidka, Hlukhiv, Shalyhyne, Esman, Druzhbivka, and Shostka communities.
Myropilia community: airstrikes by GAB (3 explosions) was carried out. As a result of the airstrike, the premises of the educational institution were destroyed, more than 10 private houses and the cultural centre were damaged. There was also an attack by FPV-drones (8 explosions). As a result of the attack, 1 civilian was injured.
Bilopillia community: VOGs were dropped from UAVs (14 explosions), mortar shelling (13 explosions).
Velyka Pysarivka community: the enemy fired mortars (5 explosions), FPV-drone (1 explosion).
Khotin community: airstrikes by GAB (1 explosion), reset of VOG from the UAV (11 explosions). 2 civilians were injured as a result of being dropped from an enemy UAV. There was also an FPV-drone strike (1 explosion). As a result of the strike, 1 civilian was injured.
Krasnopillia community: russians hit by artillery (3 explosions), grenade launchers (15 explosions), FPV-drone (1 explosion) and dropped a VOG from an unmanned aerial vehicle (1 explosion).
Yunakivka community: airstrikes by GAB (6 explosions), artillery shelling (5 explosions) were recorded.
Esman community: there were mortar fire (14 explosions), FPV drone strikes (6 explosions), artillery fire (12 explosions).
Shalyhyne community: struck by an FPV-drone (1 explosion). There was also a drop of VOG from the UAV (3 explosions).
Nova Slobidka community: russians dropped 3 mines on the territory of the community.
Hlukhiv community: an FPV-drone strike was recorded (1 explosion).
Shostka community: a rocket attack (1 explosion) was carried out on the infrastructure of the community.
Sumy community: the enemy carried out an air strike on Sumy community using GABs. Emergency services are on site. The consequences of the russian attack are being clarified.
Chernihiv oblast
Throughout the day, the russian army attacked four border communities in Chernihiv oblast. The enemy used FPV-drones, dropped UAVs, barrel artillery, and mortars.

1 explosion (hit, probably by FPV-drone) in Krasnyi Khutir village;
1 explosion (hit, probably by FPV-drone) in Kamin village;

Semenivka community:
3 explosions (hits, probably by a 120mm mortar) in Leonivka village;
13 explosions (hits, probably by a 120mm mortar) in Hremiachka village;
2 explosions (hits, probably by FPV-drone) in Kostobobriv village;
2 explosions (hits, probably by FPV-drone) in Semenivka;
10 explosions (hits, probably by a 120mm mortar) towards Mkhy village;
6 explosions (hits, probably by a 120mm mortar) towards Liskivshchyna village;
1 explosion (hit, probably by FPV-drone) near Mykolaivka village;
4 explosions (hits, probably by a 120mm mortar) and three explosions (hits, probably the dropping of an explosive device from an unmanned aerial vehicle) near Naberezhne village;
1 explosion (hit, probably dropped from an unmanned aerial vehicle) near Karpovychi village.
Snovsk community:
1 explosion (hit, probably dropping an explosive device from an unmanned aerial vehicle) in Mistky village;
4 explosions (hits, probably by a 120mm mortar) in Yasna Poliana village;
4 explosions (hits, probably by barrel artillery) towards Huta Studenetska village;
2 explosions (hits, probably by barrel artillery) towards Khrinivka village.
Horodnia community:
2 explosions (hits, probably dropping an explosive device from an UAV) and three explosions (hits, probably by an FPV-drone) towards Senkivka village.
No casualties or injuries among the local population were reported as a result of the shelling.
The Department of Family, Youth, and Sports of Chernihiv Regional State Administration reported that an athlete from Chernihiv oblast, Alina Duzhenko, won silver at the European Sumo Cup, which took place in Norway’s capital, Oslo. The athlete took second place in the 73-kilogram weight category.
Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine
Dnipropetrovsk oblast
Mykola Lukashuk, Head of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast Council, reported that the occupiers attacked Nikopol region more than a dozen times, mostly with kamikaze drones, as well as dropping ammunition from a drone and firing from artillery. They targeted Nikopol, Marhanets, Myrove and Pokrov communities. 8 private houses, 7 outbuildings, a car, a power line and a gas pipeline were damaged.
Vinnytsia oblast
In the week from 2 to 10 November, 15 defenders from the Vinnytsia oblast were killed.
Kirovohrad oblast
Vitalii Levchenko, 27-year-old soldier from Shcherbanivka community, teaches civilians and mobilised soldiers first aid and how to fly a UAV. He has been doing this since he began recovering from a shrapnel injury.
Poltava oblast
Oleksandr Kolotievskyi, volunteer from Kremenchuk, together with his friends, developed the Eye device. With its help, the military can observe the russian military and adjust artillery fire at a distance of up to 8 kilometres. More than 10 such devices have been created.
Cherkasy oblast
According to Ihor Taburets,Head of Cherkasy Regional Military Administration, in Cherkasy oblast, eight Shaheds were destroyed within the oblast.
A rally in support of prisoners of war and missing persons “Don’t be silent – captivity kills” was held in Cherkasy. About a hundred people joined the action on Soborna Square.
Artem Cherednichenko, a 15-year-old resident of Cherkasy, uses a 3D printer to make parts for ammunition, tactical lights for helmets, and stands for copters – a total of 16 devices for the military.

Zaporizhzhia oblast
Ivan Fedorov, Head of the RMA, reported that on 9 November, a 58-year-old woman was injured due to a russian attack in Zaporizhzhia oblast.
As reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Defence Forces in Orikhiv axis repelled a russian assault near Novoandriivka.
Ivan Fedorov, Head of the RMA, said that russian forces carried out 452 strikes across Zaporizhzhia oblast, including 239 drones of various types targeting Prymorske, Lobkove, Huliaipole, Shcherbaky, Novoandriivka, Novodanylivka, Robotyne, Mala Tokmachka, Bilohiria and Olhivske.
Mykolaiv oblast
According to the RMA, on the night of 10 November, air defence forces in Mykolaiv oblast shot down a Shahed-136/131 drone.
On 9 November, at 2:48pm, russian forces shelled the waters of Ochakiv community with mortars. There were no casualties or injuries reported.
Odesa oblast
Oleh Kiper, Head of the RMA, reported that a nighttime drone strike on 10 November in Odesa damaged residential buildings, stores, garages and cars, leading to fires in some locations. 2 residents of a private house in Peresyp region were injured.
According to Odesa City Council, Women’s Consultation No.11 on Yadova Street sustained damage from the overnight attack.
Oleh Kiper, Head of the RMA, said that over the last 3 days, russian forces have launched 54 attack drones at Odesa and its surroundings, including around 18 during the latest attack. 10 people are currently hospitalised.

Kherson oblast
Oleksandr Prokudin, Head of the RMA, stated that on 9 November, 9 settlements in Kherson oblast endured shelling and airstrikes. The russian forces targeted residential areas, damaging an ambulance and an agricultural structure. There were no casualties or injuries reported.
According to the Southern Defence Forces, Ukrainian forces in the south eliminated 81 russian troops, destroyed 7 artillery guns, 2 mortars, 14 Shahed-136 drones, a Murom-M surveillance complex, and 23 armoured vehicles.

Volyn oblast
Lutsk community sent 2 DJI Mavic 3T quadcopters to the Military Unit A 2298. The 3rd Rifle Battalion of the Military Unit A2847 received a DJI Mavic 3T and aDJI Mavic 3PRO quadcopter. Also, 3 DJI Mavic 3T quadcopters were sent to the Military Unit A 0998.
Zakarpattia oblast
The 5th anniversary graduation of trainees of the Regional Center for Training the Population for National Resistance took place. This time, another 127 residents passed the basic course, 10 –mastered the special one.
Ivano-Frankivsk oblast
The RMA held a meeting with Alle Dorhout, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Ukraine. They discussed business operations under martial law, local and relocated enterprises, implementation of Care for the Hero’s Family and With One Heart, we are Ukraine! projects for families of fallen defenders and about the rehabilitation of veterans, members of their families and residents of Carpathians.
Ivano-Frankivsk community sent 25 FPV drones to the 45th Separate Rifle Battalion thanks to budget funds.
In Ivano-Frankivsk, 11 people from families of war killed, deceased and missing soldiers will receive assistance in the amount of UAH 900,000. Since the beginning of the year, such payments have been approved for 212 native defenders in the amount of almost UAH 16.1m.
Lviv oblast
Rostyslav Arendach, military serviceman from Strii region, was awarded with the Golden Cross honorary award by Oleksandr Syrskyi, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Rivne oblast
The Air Defense Forces worked in Rivne oblast at night during an air alert. There were no deaths, no injuries, and no damage to the infrastructure.
Ternopil oblast
15 soldiers of Ternopil community will receive a one-time cash payment of UAH 10,000 for equipment. Since the beginning of the year, such support has already been provided to 3,012 soldiers of the community.
Khmelnytskyi oblast
At night, during an air alert, the Air Defense Forces destroyed 5 enemy UAVs of the Shahed type. As a result of the attack, the roof and windows of the residential building were damaged by the blast wave. There were no casualties or injuries.
Chernivtsi oblast
Vyzhnytsk community received a powerful generator and 5 portable charging stations for medical facilities thanks to the USAID DOBRE Program.
International support of Ukraine in the russian-Ukrainian war (russia’s invasion of Ukraine)
Sebastian Lecornu, Minister of Defense of France, announced that Ukraine will receive from France 10 long-range SCALP missiles and Mistral missiles for air defence. In addition, noted that his country will continue training 2,000 Ukrainian soldiers.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President of Ukraine, announced that currently, over 800 Western companies are involved in the production of weapons for the Ukrainian army.
Darren Jones, British Finance Minister, emphasised London’s steadfast support for Ukraine’s territorial integrity, rejecting any scenarios involving territorial concessions by russia.
