It has been the 575th day of the Ukrainian resistance to the russian military aggression. 

What happened in Ukraine today:

Here is operational information of the General Staff as of 6 pm:   

The enemy continues to violate the laws and customs of war, uses terror tactics, and attacks both military and civilian targets, which results in civilian casualties.

The operational situation in the east and south of Ukraine remains difficult.

There were over 20 combat engagements. According to updated information, the russian federation launched another massive missile attack on Ukraine’s energy, industrial and civilian infrastructure with 44 X-101/X-555/X-55 air-launched cruise missiles and 6 S-300 anti-aircraft guided missiles. As a result of combat operations, the Air Forces along with the Air Defense Forces destroyed 38 cruise missiles. In total, the russian invaders launched 52 missile, 44 air strikes and 43 MLRS strikes at the positions of Ukrainian troops and various settlements. The russian terrorist attacks have resulted in deaths and injuries among civilians. Residential buildings, civilian educational institutions, medical facilities, dormitories and other civilian infrastructure have been destroyed and damaged.

Towards Volyn and Polissia, there were no significant changes. There are no signs of offensive groups being formed. Certain units of the belarusian armed forces are performing tasks in the areas bordering Ukraine.

Towards Siversk and Sloboda, the enemy maintains its military presence in the border areas, continues shelling Ukrainian settlements from the territory of russia. The invaders launched an airstrike in the vicinity of Dihtiarne, Sumy oblast. More than 20 settlements suffered enemy artillery and mortars fire, including Chernatske, Chernihiv oblast, Stara Huta, Zarichchya, Kucherivka, Shalyhyne, Yunakivka, Sumy oblast, Hrafske, Hatyshche, Vovchansk, Vovchanski Khutory, Kharkiv oblast.

Towards Kupiansk, the enemy launched air strikes in the vicinities of Berestove, Kopanka, Shyikivka, Kharkiv oblast, More than 10 settlements, including Dvorichna, Synkivka, Ivanivka, Kyslivka, Kupyansk-Vuzlovyi, Kivsharivka, Kharkiv oblast, suffered enemy artillery and mortars shelling.

Towards Lyman, the enemy launched air strikes on the settlements of Nevske, Luhansk oblast and Dibrova, Donetsk oblast. Over 10 settlements including Nevske, Bilohorivka, Luhansk oblast and Spirne, Berestove, Rozdolivka, Donetsk oblast, were shelled from artillery and mortar.

Towards Bakhmut, the Ukrainian Forces successfully repelled enemy attacks in the area northeast of Hryhorivka, Donetsk oblast. The enemy tried to restore the lost position near Andriivka, Donetsk oblast to no success. The occupiers launched air strikes in the vicinity of Andriivka, Minkivka, Klishchiivka and Pivnichne, Donetsk oblast). Over 20 settlements came under enemy artillery and mortar, including Chasiv Yar, Klishchiivka, Stupochky, Bila Hora, Donetsk oblast.

Towards Avdiivka, the occupiers launched an air strike in the vicinity of Arkhanhelske, Donetsk oblast. The enemy fired from artillery and mortars at about 10 settlements, including Keramik, Stepove, Avdiivka, Sjeverne, Pervomaiske, Nevelske, Donetsk oblast.

Towards Mariinka, the Ukrainian defenders successfully repelled 8 enemy attacks in the vicinity of Mariinka and Krasnohorivka, Donetsk oblast. The enemy launched an airstrike near Yelyzavetivka, Donetsk oblast. The invaders fired from artillery and mortar at about 10 settlements, including Maryinka, Heorhiivka, Maksymilyanivka, Pobieda, Novomykhailivka, Donetsk oblast.

Towards Shakhtarsk, the Ukrainian Defense Forces successfully repelled an enemy attack in the vicinity of Mykilske, Donetsk oblast. The enemy launched air strikes near the settlements of Vuhledar, Urozhaine, Staromaiorske, Donetsk oblast. About 10 settlements, including Vodiane, Vuhledar, Novoukrainka, Prechystivka, Zolota Nyva, Velyka Novosilka, Donetsk oblast, came under enemy artillery and mortar.

Towards Zaporizhzhia, the Ukrainian defenders successfully repelled an enemy attack in the vicinity of Robotyne, Zaporizhzhia oblast. The occupiers launched air strikes near Bilohiria, Mala Tokmachka, Robotyne, Zaporizhzhia oblast. The enemy fired from artillery and mortar at over 20 settlements, including Malynivka, Huliaipole, Charivne, Stepove, Piatykhatky, Zaporizhzhia oblast.

Towards Kherson, the invaders launched air strikes near the settlements of Lvove, and Tiahynka, Kherson oblast. The russian occupiers fired from artillery and mortar at about 10 settlements, including Beryslav, Mykolaivka, Kherson, Kherson oblast, Solonchaky, Ochakiv, Mykolaiv oblast.

At the same time, the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to conduct the offensive operation towards Melitopol and offensive towards Bakhmut, inflicting losses in manpower and equipment on the occupation forces, and exhausting the enemy along the entire front line.

The Ukrainian Air Force launched 10 air strikes on the buildup of troops, weapons, and military equipment of the enemy.

Rocket troops hit 1 command point, 1 buildup of troops, weapons and military equipment, 9 artillery systems and 2 electronic warfare stations of the russian invaders.


According to Ukrenergo, as a result of russia’s hostile attack on critical energy facilities of Ukraine, 398 settlements were cut off. Partial blackouts occurred in Rivne, Zhytomyr, Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, and Kharkiv regions.

When the full-scale invasion began, the number of people with disabilities increased by 300K in Ukraine. 

Russia destroyed 250 cultural heritage objects in Ukraine. Currently, Ukraine is preparing a lawsuit against the russian federation before international courts.

Recent war events in the east of Ukraine

Illia Yevlash, Head of the Press Service of the Eastern Group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, reported that russians conducted 190 attacks and engaged aviation 10 times towards Kreminna. The enemy continues shelling Ukrainian positions towards Lyman and Kupiansk. They launched 552 artillery strikes yesterday. Also russians used aviation 17 times. The invaders concentrated their firepower towards Kreminna, shelling the area 190 times and engaging enemy aircraft 10 times. There were more than 150 attacks from heavy artillery systems towards Bilohorivka.

Kharkiv oblast

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, russia launched air strikes near Shyikivka, Kopanky and Berestove. At least 10 settlements in the region were also shelled with mortar and artillery.

The East Air Command reported that in the morning three cruise missiles were shot down: two X-101/555 and one Iskander-K.

Viktor Kovalenko, Head of Zolochiv Village Military Administration, reported that russian troops shelled Odnorobivka, a border town of Zolochiv community, at least twice. The first attack was at 5:30 am and the second one at 10 am. A private building and power lines were damaged. There were no casualties.

Oleh Syniehubov, Head of Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, said that russians launched six missiles, preliminary S-300, at Kharkiv at around 6 am. The production building of a civilian enterprise in Sloboda district was damaged, windows in the emergency medical unit broken and the road hit. The inspection of the sites is ongoing. A 58-year-old man was injured and hospitalised. A 65-year-old man sustained minor injuries and did not need hospitalisation. A 24-year-old man was also injured. As a result of one of the strikes, a crater measuring 7 by 7 metres and 3 metres deep was created. As a result of russian attack, a water supply system in Sloboda district was damaged, leaving one of the hospitals and several private buildings without water supply.

Referring to the press service of Kharkiv Regional State Emergency Service, 45 rescuers extinguished a fire on an area of 200 square metres caused by russian missile strikes on Sloboda district. Structural elements and insulation of the industrial and warehouse building were on fire in three places.

The enemy shelled Kupiansk-Vuzlovyi settlement and Kivsharivka village of Kupiansk region at around 1 am. A garage and an out of service building were damaged and fires broke out.

Yesterday the enemy massively attacked settlements and civilians in Kupiansk, Bohodukhiv, Chuhuiv, Kharkiv and Izium regions.

In Odnorobivka village, Bohodukhiv region, 3 apartment buildings, 1 private building, 5 outbuildings, 4 cars and 2 garages were damaged. In Perovske village, Bohodukhiv region, a 65-year-old man sustained shrapnel wounds as a result of mortar shelling.

Forest fires broke out in Symynivka and Verkhnia Pysarivka villages, Chuhuiv region, as a result of shelling.

In Vysokyi settlement, Kharkiv region, a 46-year-old man was injured while checking an explosive device at home.

Near Kreidianka village, Izium region, a KRAZ truck tripped over an explosive device ( preliminary, an anti-tank mine), the driver was not injured.  

Yesterday pyrotechnics of the State Emergency Service examined more than 4.7 hectares of territory and defused 82 explosive ordnance.

The Piatykhatky BAM organisation reported that the volunteers, who were killed in the strike on Kupiansk on 19 September, were Serhii Shalyhin and Vadym Zabara. One of the vehicles used by the volunteers to evacuate locals was at the site of the hit.

Serhii Mahdysiuk, Counsillor of the Head of the Regional Military Administration, said that 11,970 residential buildings, 87% of medical institutions and 90% of educational institutions are ready for the heating season. 76 villages and towns remain without electricity supply but the system is expected to be almost fully restored by the beginning of the heating season. The problem for the utility companies is the presence of mines in part of the region. Work is ongoing to secure internal power generation in the region.

A memorial plaque to 30-year-old Oleksandr Podolskyi was installed on the building of the 5th Fire and Rescue Unit in Kharkiv. He was the first rescuer in Kharkiv oblast to be killed while on duty since the start of the full-scale russian invasion. His mother Svitlana said that he served in this unit for eight years. During the shelling of Barabashovo market in 2022, the man sustained shrapnel wounds incompatible with life.

Maryna Shevchenko, Spokeswoman of the Regional Power Company, reported that a memorial plaque to 47-year-old Andrii Vlasenkov was installed on the anniversary of the power engineer’s death from a russian anti-tank mine explosion near Hrakove. The plaque was installed on the facade of the building of Kharkiv High Voltage District Power Grid Department, which Vlasenkov led. The man worked at the company for 25 years.

The film’s team reported on Facebook that the Photophobia film co-produced by Slovakia, the Czech Republic and Ukraine has been nominated for an Oscar from Slovakia. The Photophobia film tells the story of 12-year-old Niki, who lives with his family at a Kharkiv metro station, hiding from the war. For Niki’s family, daylight is synonymous with deadly danger and the boy is not allowed to go outside.

Donetsk oblast

Illia Yevlash, Chief of the Press Service of the Eastern Group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, said that the Bakhmut – Horlivka road is already under Ukrainian Defence Forces fire control.

Ihor Moroz, Acting head of Donetsk Regional Military Administration, informed that russian soldiers shelled Avdiivka, the outskirts of Ocheretyne community and Vilne Pole of Komar community in the morning. An airstrike was launched on Urozhaine of Velyka Novosilka community. There were no casualties.

Pokrovsk City Military Administration stated that russian troops shelled Rodynske presumably with multiple rocket launchers at 9:30 am. There were no casualties but private buildings, a water supply system and communal facilities were damaged.

Anastasiia Miedviedieva, Spokeswoman of Donetsk Regional Prosecutor’s Office, announced that russian forces shelled Toretsk, Molodenke and Petropavlivka. Three men and two women were injured.

The press service of Donetsk police reported that the invaders shelled civilians 16 times. The enemy used aircraft, S-300 anti-aircraft missile system, Smerch MRLs, artillery and mortars. Also russian troops attacked 13 settlements: Avdiivka, Zalizne, Siversk, Toretsk cities, Velyka Novosilka, Nelipivka, Pivnichne settlements, Verkhnokamianske, Klishchiivka, Malynivka, Novoselivka Persha, Pleshchiivka, Rusyn Yar villages. 20 civilian objects were damaged: 26 private buildings, a car, power lines and a gas pipeline.

Donetsk Regional Military Administration informed that yesterday russians killed 5 civilians: 2 in Toretsk, 2 in Pivnichne and 1 in Vuhledar.

Towards Volnovakha, 1 person was killed in Vuhledar as the town suffered 4 air strikes and 28 shelling. Also russians shelled Novoukrainka twice with artillery. In the morning, Vilne Pole of Komar community was hit. Urozhaine of Velyka Novosilka community suffered an airstrike. There were no casualties.

Towards Donetsk, Kurakhove community was attacked twice in the evening and once in the morning. Also in the morning, there was a massive shelling of Avdiivka and shelling of the outskirts of the Ocheretyne community, with no casualties.

Towards Horlivka, 4 people were killed in Toretsk community: 2 in Toretsk and 2 in Pivnichne. 3 buildings were damaged in Nelipivka and 2 in Zalizne. In Soledar community, Rozdolivka and Vasiukivka were targeted. In Illinivsk community, Pleshchiivka and Rusyn Yar were shelled. In Chasiv Yar community, 2 buildings and an infrastructure facility were damaged.

Towards Lysychansk, Torske, Zarichne, Yampil of Lyman community and Siversk were shelled, with no casualties or destructions.

Halyna Pryshchepa, Spokeswoman of the SBU Main Directorate in Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts, said that the invaders accused priests of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine, who were detained in Donetsk on 17 September, of collaboration with Ukrainian special services and inciting religious hatred.

In the Holy Mountains Park, where unique chalk pines grew, which were destroyed by russian troops during the battles for Sviatohirsk, still cannot be examined.  Before the start of the full-scale invasion, this type of relict tree survived in only two places in Ukraine, in Donetsk oblast: the Holy Mountains Park and the Chalk Flora Reserve.

Luhansk oblast

According to Luhansk Regional Military Administration, Nadiia, Nevske and Bilohorivka were under enemy air strikes yesterday.

In Nevske, two FAB-500 aerial bombs exploded on the territory of households and two more on the outskirts. Also russians used artillery. 25 shells exploded. One of the buildings was damaged. Yesterday two elderly women from Makiivka agreed to evacuate. They will live with relatives in safer communities across the country. One of them appealed to Krasnorichenske Military Administration for help.

Luhansk police delivered another 500 loaves of bread to the residents of the de-occupied settlements of the community. Residents of Hrekivka, Makiivka and Novoliubivka were also provided with stoves and first aid kits.

Police officers in the occupied territory have been given direct instructions to identify men who are still on military records. They will focus on citizens who have recently received a russian passport as the occupation authorities have personal data on these men.

Even before the so-called “first elections”, Kremlin repeatedly promised to build high-speed motorways in the so-called “LPR” and “DPR” in the near future to connect the two occupied regions with modern roads. In reality, russian infrastructure development strategy until 2030 does not include the construction of such highways in the occupied territories.

More than a million copies of russian books will be brought to the libraries of “LPR”, one for each resident regardless of age. Before the invaders could distribute history textbooks rewritten for children from the “new regions”, the first batch of books arrived in the “republic” on putin’s instructions, supposedly on the orders of libraries. 

Oleksandr Striuk, Head of Sievierodonetsk City Military Administration, said that the city is facing unsanitary conditions. The limited number of mostly survived buildings are being prepared for winter. All other apartment blocks continue to collapse with damaged roofs and broken windows. Known collaborators are among the newly elected occupation authorities of the city. Almost all those who tried to return to Sievierodonetsk could not survive more than a few days there.

What is happening now in the north of Ukraine

Kyiv oblast

Head of the KRMA, Serhii Popko announced that air defense forces destroyed 20 enemy targets in the sky over Kyiv and its surroundings at night. Previously, the enemy launched cruise missiles of the X-101/555/55 type.

Fragments of rockets fell in several districts of the capital: in the Darnytskyi district – on a non-residential building and a service station, which caused a fire and ignited parked cars; in Shevchenkivskyi – a gas pipe was damaged, the blast wave knocked out a door and damaged windows in a residential building.

Kyiv Mayor Vitalii Klitschko said that seven people were injured, three of them were hospitalized  due to the russian missile attack on the city. In the Darnytskyi district, doctors hospitalized an 18-year-old girl and a 9-year-old child. As a result of the shelling, the vocational school was damaged, but its students were in shelter and were not injured.

The Kyiv regional military administration reported that there is information about three victims in the oblast due to a nighttime rocket attack. Due to falling debris, fires broke out on the territory of several enterprises of the oblast, and the building of a vocational and technical educational institution was damaged. In several communities, private houses and cars were damaged.

Serhiy Popko, head of the KRMA said that since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, 870 alarms have been sounded in Kyiv. He noted that during this time the capital has already crossed the mark of 1,000 hours of alarm, which is one and a half months of continuous alarm.

The State Emergency Service of Kyiv oblast reported that a man died due to a passenger car hitting a mine. It happened on September 20 between the villages of Oliva and Osovets of the Ivankiv Territorial Community.

Head of Kyiv RMA Ruslan Kravchenko announced that UNDP conducts independent supervision within UNITED24 of the use of funds and the quality of work at all stages of the reconstruction of apartment buildings in the Kyiv oblast. UNDP also joined the work of the Monitoring Council on Reconstruction at the Regional Military Administration to make the reconstruction process from planning to project completion open and efficient.

The director of The German government company Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, Daniel Bushe, during a visit to Bucha announced that GIZ Ukraine will help find innovative solutions for the restoration of the community. During the meeting, the mayor presented details of the Bucha Techno Garden project to the head of GIZ in Ukraine.

Kyiv RMA reported that a lyceum is being restored in the village of Ploske in the Brovary region with the funds of the Fund for the Elimination of the Consequences of Armed Aggression. By the beginning of the school year, part of the work on the restoration of the institution has already been carried out and the shelter has been prepared.

Zhytomyr oblast

Ukrenergo reported that electricity consumers in Zhytomyr oblast were partially cut off due to a massive russian missile attack, which damaged facilities in the western and central regions. Emergency restoration work began immediately after the alarm was turned off, and the connection of household consumers to oblenergo networks continues.

The First Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Economy of Ukraine Yulia Svyridenko presented a pilot project on demining during a working trip to Zhytomyr oblast. For the first time, a private operator was involved in an open auction to clear a forest area in the Narodychi community. According to her, this example should open a new market for services and help speed up the demining of thousands of square kilometres of land.

Head of Zhytomyr RMA Vitaliy Bunechko said that the oblast was visited by the well-known philanthropist from the USA, Howard Buffett, whose foundation takes care of the problem of humanitarian demining. During the meeting, it was discussed the use of innovative technologies in demining territories, in particular, modern equipment and artificial intelligence for reconnaissance and detection of explosive objects.

In Zhytomyr oblast, the potential danger is almost 30,000 hectares. Most types of explosive pollution have been recorded on its territory are mine traps in the-occupied territories, remnants of enemy shells and rockets that did not detonate, the consequences of shelling of critical infrastructure facilities.

Sumy oblast

 Sumy Regional Military Administration reported that the russians carried out an artillery bombardment of the Seredina-Buda community at night, 2 explosions were recorded.

During the past day, the russians carried out 15 shelling of the border. A total of 69 hits from mortars, artillery, AGS, as well as dropping VOG munishions from UAVs were recorded. The communities of Krasnopillia, Yunakivka, Khotyn, Velyka Pysarivka, Bilopillia, Myropillia, Nova Sloboda and Znob-Novhorodske came under shelling.

The Sumy Regional Military Administration reported that over the past day, Ukrainian air defense forces shot down 4 enemy UAVs over Sumy oblast.

The Ministry of Reintegration reported that evacuees from the border of Sumy oblast received targeted financial assistance from the French humanitarian non-governmental organisation Acted. The program was initiated for people who evacuated from the border settlements of the Sumy oblast since the announcement of voluntary evacuation on July 11, 2023, and who remained living in the oblast. The total amount of assistance amounted to over UAH 1.8 million.

Sumy RMA reported that of the 88.5 thousand displaced persons registered in the oblast, 74% are displaced within Sumy oblast, 10% have moved from Kharkiv oblast, there are also representatives from Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporizhzhia, Kherson and other regions. 

Chernihiv oblast

The russians shelled the border of Chernihiv oblast 8 times from their territory – a total of 44 strikes were recorded. The following areas came under shelling: Novhorod-Siverskyi hromada – 5 hits from MLRS in the direction of the village of Hrem’yach; Snovsk hromada – 8 shots from the AGS in the direction of the settlement of Klyusy; Horodnya community – 14 mortar and AGS strikes in the direction of Berylivka and Senkivka settlements; Semenivka hromada – 17 hits from mortars and unguided rockets in the direction of Karpovichy, Leonivka and Hremyachka settlements.

109 residents of Chernihiv oblast received funds under the “Own business” program, and three more – “Grant for veterans.” As reported in Chernihiv RMA, as a result of such support of entrepreneurial activity in the oblast, 240 new jobs appeared. This helped to open or expand production facilities, service stations, beauty salons, sewing shops, coffee shops, trade and catering establishments, specialized educational, medical, physical culture and recreation studios, and farms.

As part of the Repair Together project, which involves volunteers for the restoration of destroyed villages, they are creating a documentary series about the reconstruction of Chernihiv oblast. The series is about the everyday life of volunteers and the life of the village – the first 20-minute episode has already been released, where, in particular, it is about the story of the foreman Owen, who came to rebuild the Chernihiv oblast from Ireland.

Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine

Dnipropetrovsk oblast

Mykola Lukashuk, Head of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast Council, said that the enemy terrorise civilians in Nikopol region. As a result of artillery shelling, a family of three adults and a 3-month-old child suffered. The little boy was not injured but his parents were injured and the whole family is now in hospital. The child’s 75-year-old grandfather and 34-year-old mother are in satisfactory condition. The 29-year-old father was critically injured and was taken to a hospital in Dnipro. An outbuilding was destroyed, 11 residential buildings, 5 outbuildings, 2 minibuses, a car, 3 gas pipelines and the same number of power lines damaged. The enemy attacked the community twice with Grad MRLs and artillery.

Also in the morning, the invaders attacked Marhanets of Nikopol region with a drone. In the afternoon, they attacked Hrushivska community of Kryvyi Rih region with artillery. 5 residential buildings, 1 outbuilding, a car, a gas pipeline, a power line and a solar power plant panel were damaged.

Vinnytsia oblast

Vinnytsia City Council informed that 19 veteran assistants have successfully completed their training. 16 of them are from Vinnytsia oblast. The specialists have received the relevant certificates and will start counselling defenders and their families next month.

Kirovohrad oblast

Andrii Raikovych, Head of Kirovohrad Regional Military Administration, reported that repair crews from Kirovohrad oblast completed 48 houses in Mala Oleksandrivka, Kherson oblast. Another 8 are in process.  The next steps include preparing for the repair of the Mala Oleksandrivka House of Culture, landscaping and arranging a public transport stop.

Poltava oblast

Dmytro Lunin, Head of Poltava Regional Military Administration, said that Poltava oblast is among the five regions that are actively engaging medical specialists to help Kherson oblast. During this time, the medics provided assistance to 90 people. They treated locals with “civilian” diseases and victims of shelling. In addition to medical practice, they held trainings for colleagues and civilians.

Cherkasy oblast

Ihor Taburets, Head of Cherkasy Regional Military Administration, stated that the enemy attacked Cherkasy oblast in the morning. Air defence forces shot down four russian missiles over the region. Missile debris, including a warhead, fell in downtown, damaging a hotel building. As of this moment, there are 10 victims, 6 of whom are hospitalised. Operational groups and all specialised services continue to operate.

Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine

Zaporizhzhia oblast

Zaporizhzhya Military District Administration reported that over the past day, the russian  military attacked 20 localities in Zaporizhzhya oblast. 68 artillery attacks took place in Gulyaypole, Novoandriivka, Olhivske, Levadne, Bilohirya, Poltavka, Maly Shcherbaky, Stepove and other frontline towns and villages.

As a result of the air strike on the civilian community, 3 residents of Preobrazhenka were injured and were promptly taken to a hospital.

Ivan Fedorov, Mayor of Melitopol, saud that in the temporarily occupied Melitopol near the Motor Plant, the Defence Forces liquidated the headquarters of the russian military. The commander of the 58th army was wounded, and several dozen russian officers were killed. 

Five fires occurred in the Polohiv and Vasyliv districts as a result of Russian shelling: residential buildings burned in Orikhiv and Gulyaypol. This was reported by the State Emergency Service of Zaporizhzhia region.

Petro Kotin, President of the state enterprise “NNEGC “Energoatom”, said that the russian military is threatening Ukrainian employees of the Zaporizhzhya Nuclear Power Plant with physical torture, including the removal of a kidney, if they do not agree to cooperate with rosatom. 

The Preobrazhensk and Stepnohirsk communities received fire trucks. The assistance was made possible thanks to the Cities 4 Cities | United 4 Ukraine partnership initiative, which aims to support the territories of Ukraine. The special vehicles will I’llhelp Ukrainian rescuers in performing extremely difficult tasks and eliminating the consequences of enemy shelling.

Mykolaiv oblast

Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration reported that on  September 20, the russian army struck the waters of the Ochakiv community and the city of Ochakiv. Residential buildings and cars were damaged. A fire broke out in an open area and was quickly extinguished. There were no casualties. On the afternoon of September 21, russian occupation forces fired on the Kutsurub community. There were no casualties. 

Serhiy Shayhet, Head of the Main Department of the National Police in Mykolaiv oblast, said that on 20 September, a car carrying two men exploded on an anti-tank mine in Snihurivka, Mykolaiv oblast. One of them died on the spot, the other man was hospitalised. 

Mykolaiv oblast received two water treatment plants from Spain. The mobile equipment is capable of treating up to three thousand litres per hour, is approved by the International Committee of the Red Cross and is used in accidents in many countries around the world. According to the Humanitarian Centre of Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, the equipment will soon be used by utility companies in Mykolaiv oblast.

Nadiia Rudenko, Head of the Superheroes School, said that  Mykolaiv Regional Children’s Clinical Hospital has a “Superheroes School” for patients undergoing inpatient treatment. In September 2023, more than 60 children aged three to seventeen attended the educational centre. There are specialised teachers for children of all ages. 

Odesa oblast

Oleh Kiper, Head of the Odesa RMA, reported that in the evening, on September 21, the russian army attacked Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi region of Odesa oblast with rockets. There were hits to recreational infrastructure. A fire broke out at the site and was quickly extinguished. There were no casualties.

Almost 500 individual prostheses have already been manufactured in Odesa under the city’s targeted programme. According to the mayor’s office, the issue of prosthetics and rehabilitation is extremely relevant, as there are many military personnel who have lost their limbs. Since the beginning of 2023, the centre has already produced 483 individual prostheses, 117 of which were made for the military.Gennadiy Trukhanov, Odesa Mayor,  visited the Tellus Prosthetic and Orthopaedic Care Centre, which manufactures and repairs technical equipment, as well as provides rehabilitation and training in the use of prosthetic and orthopaedic products.

From 18 to 23 September, rescuers from Odesa oblast are currently undergoing training in Poland. The SES specialists joined a series of trainings organised by the Voivodeship Commandant’s Office of the State Fire Service in Krakow as part of the project “Improving the Efficiency of Ukrainian Rescue Services’ Response to Crisis Situations – Phase V”. The training is divided into several stages and covers activities in the field of radiation and chemical safety, elimination of chemical and radiological contamination, with a special emphasis on events related to phosphorus and decontamination actions after the explosion of the so-called “dirty bomb”. The main goal of the training is to improve the firefighters’ knowledge and skills, as well as to increase their effectiveness in rescue operations and the interaction of their units with colleagues from abroad.

An exhibition of works by local artists and photographers is on display in the Artsyz Art Gallery in Bolhrad region. Some of the works were donated by the artists for charity sale as part of the Artsyz City Council’s project “Together to Victory!” The funds raised will be included in the general collection of the Artsyz community to help the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Moreover, the money will be used to help the soldiers from the Artsyz community to purchase drones and thermal imagers.

Kherson oblast

Kherson Regional Military Administration said that since the beginning of the day, on September 21, six people have been killed and nine injured in russian attacks. 

The russian army attacked Bilozerka in the Kherson oblast. One person was killed and two injured.

In the afternoon, on September 21, the russian military shelled Kherson again. Residential buildings in Dniprovskiy district and in the suburbs were hit. 

Around 14:00, on September 21, the russian military shelled the Darya community of Kherson region. A private house was hit, the 58-year-old owner was killed. 

Around 12:00, on September 21, the russian army fired on the village of Lvove in Kherson oblast. A woman was killed. 

Oleksandr Prokudin, Head of Kherson Regional Military Administration, reported that the Russian army also launched four guided aerial bombs on Lvove of the Tyahynka community in Kherson oblast.  Two of them were launched at Tyahynka. They also shelled Odradokamyanka and Mykolaivka. 

In the Kherson oblast, the russian military shelled Kozatske. A 76-year-old man who was in his own apartment at the time of the attack was injured. 

146 volunteer medics from Volyn, Ternopil, Poltava, Zakarpattia regions and Kyiv came to Kherson oblast to help more patients.

Ivano-Frankivsk oblast

Lviv oblast

As a result of the night enemy attack, a fire broke out in the warehouses. The fire spread to 3 areas with an area of ​​over 10K m². The fire is called one of the largest in the city, given the destruction and destruction of material values. In total, the property of 59 companies was damaged. 320 people lost their jobs. Preliminary losses are estimated at UAH 450 mln.

Dobromyl hospital received medical equipment for resuscitation and diagnostics, in particular, a mobile X-ray machine, an anesthesia machine with a monitor, and an ultrasound machine, from benefactors from the German city of Ransbach-Baumbach.

Dobrotvir community received a new self-propelled CASE backhoe loader with a front loader and a bucket thanks to the USAID Hoverla project.

The RMA reported that residents of Velikomostov community sent over 100 kg of humanitarian aid to their compatriots who are currently in Donetsk oblast as part of the National Guard of Ukraine.

Construction crews from Lviv oblast have been working in three settlements of Kherson oblast since mid-July as part of the Side by Side program. During this time in the villages of Nova Zoria, Tavriyske and Bila Krynytsia, half a hundred private residential buildings were repaired, and the work is still ongoing.

2 children removed from their families in Dnipropetrovsk oblast due to hostilities were evacuated to Lviv oblast. Today, there are 271 evacuee children in 17 institutions of Lviv oblast – internally displaced persons in organized groups of institutions.

Rivne oblast

Ternopil oblast

Ternopil City Council reported that 4 AUTEL ECO MAX 4T quadcopters, 4 DJI mavic 3T quadcopters, 25 portable radio stations, 20 tablets, satellite communication equipment, 3 scanners, routers, 30 tables and 60 chairs were sent to the frontline.

Khmelnytskyi oblast

In the morning, during the air alert, air defense forces worked in the oblast. As a result of the enemy attack, there were no hits on objects in the region. At the same time, due to the fall of a fragment of a rocket in one of the villages of the oblast, the summer kitchen of the house was damaged. In addition, the car glass is damaged. There are no victims.

Chernivtsi oblast

The RMA reported that in Bukovina, 48 war veterans and their family members received professional adaptation services for a total amount of UAH 536,1K.

International support of Ukraine in the russian-Ukrainian war (russia’s invasion of Ukraine)

Ukraine received a $1.25 billion grant from the US for pensions, payments to employees of the State Emergency Service, salaries for medical workers, civil servants and teachers. The grant is the 5th part of additional financing, which is carried out within the framework of the World Bank project Supporting Public Expenditures to Ensure Sustainable Public Administration in Ukraine (PEACE in Ukraine).

Yonny Lindfors, Commander of the Swedish army, announced that the country sent to Ukraine 10 Stridsvagn 122 tanks, which are analogues of Leopard 2. Tanks are manned by Ukrainian crews trained in Sweden.
