It has been the 614th day of the Ukrainian resistance to the russian military aggression. 

What happened in Ukraine today:

Here is operational information of the General Staff as of 6 pm:   

There were 30 combat engagements. The enemy launched 7 missiles and 47 air strikes, 43 MLRS attacks at the positions of Ukrainian troops and various settlements. The attacks have wounded civilians. Private residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure were destroyed or damaged. 

Russian occupiers launched yet another strike on Ukraine, using 12 Shahed-136/131 attack UAVs, 2 Kh-59 air-launched guided missiles, and 4 Iskander-M ballistic missiles. Ukrainian air defense forces and means destroyed all UAV attacks and 2 air-launched guided missiles.

The operational situation in east and south of Ukraine remains difficult.

Towards Volyn and Polissia, there were no significant changes and no signs of formation of an offensive group. Certain units of the armed forces of belarus continue their missions in the areas bordering Ukraine.

Towards Siversk and Sloboda, they maintain their military presence in the areas of russia bordering Ukraine. The enemy continues its sabotage and reconnaissance activities, shelling Ukrainian settlements from the territory of russia. They increase the density of minefields along the state border of Ukraine. Over 10 settlements came under enemy artillery and mortar fire, including Dibrova, Chernihiv oblast, Atynske, Stepok, Hrabovske, Sumy oblast, Strilecha, and Stroivka, Kharkiv oblast.

Towards Kupiansk, the enemy conducted unsuccessful assault operations in the vicinity of Synkivka, Kharkiv oblast. The invaders fired artillery and mortars at around 10 settlements, including Kamianka, Dvorichna, Synkivka, Petropavlivka and Ivanivka, Kharkiv oblast.

Towards Lyman, the enemy did not conduct any offensive (assault) operations. The invaders launched air strikes in the vicinity of Serebrianske forestry, Spirne, and Vyimka, Donetsk oblast.  The invaders fired artillery and mortars at Nevske, Bilohorivka, Luhansk oblast, Spirne, and Rozdolivka, Donetsk oblast.

Towards Bakhmut, the enemy made unsuccessful attempts to regain the lost ground near Klischiivka, and launched air strikes in the vicinity of Andriivka and Kurdiumivka, Donetsk oblast. Over 10 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire, including Chasiv Yar, Ivanivske, Klischiivka, Bila Hora, New York, Donetsk oblast.

Towards Avdiivka, the enemy conducted unsuccessful assault operations in the vicinity of Avdiivka, Tonenke, and Pervomaiske, Donetsk oblast, where the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 5 attacks. They launched air strikes in the vicinities of Arkhanhelske, Novokalynove, Novobakhmutivka, Semenivka, Stepove, Berdychi, Avdiivka, Sieverne, and Orlivka, Donetsk oblast. The enemy fired artillery and mortars at 15 settlements, including Oleksandropil, Keramik, Stepove, Avdiivka, and Sieverne, Donetsk oblast.

Towards Mariinka, with the air support, the enemy  conducted unsuccessful assault operations in the vicinities of Mariinka and Novomykhailivka, Donetsk oblast. The Ukrainian defenders repelled over 10 attacks in that area. They launched air strikes in the vicinity of Oleksandropil, Katerynivka, and Novomykhailivka, Donetsk oblast. Around 10 settlements of Donetsk oblast, including Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, Mariinka, Pobieda, and Novomykhailivka, were under the occupiers’ artillery and mortar fire.

Towards Shakhtarsk, the enemy conducted unsuccessful assault operations in the vicinity of Staromaiorsk, Donetsk oblast. The occupiers launched an airstrike in the vicinity of Vuhledar, Donetsk oblast. Around 10 settlements, including Vodyane, Vuhledar, Prechystivka, Zolota Nyva, and Blahodatne, Donetsk oblast, came under artillery and mortar fire.

Towards Zaporizhzhia, the enemy did not conduct any offensive (assault) operations. The enemy launched an airstrike in the vicinity of the settlement of Novodarivka, Zaporizhzhia oblast. Over 20 settlements, including Malynivka, Poltavka, Huliaipilske, Orikhiv, Mali Shcherbaky, and Kamianske, Zaporizhzhia oblast, came under artillery and mortar fire.

Towards Kherson, the occupiers launched air strikes in the vicinities of Novoberyslav, Zmiivka, Kozatske, Beryslav, Mykolaivka, and Tyahynka, Kherson oblast. Kherson, Kizomys, Bilozerka, Kherson oblast, Solonchaky, and Ochakiv, Mykolaiv oblast suffered from enemy artillery shelling.

The Ukrainian Defense Forces continue their offensive operation towards Melitopol and offensive (assault) operations towards Bakhmut, inflicting losses in manpower and equipment on the occupation forces, exhausting the enemy all along the front line.

The Ukrainian Air Forces launched 19 air strikes on the buildup of troops, weapons, and military equipment, and 1 air strike on the anti-aircraft missile system of the adversary.

The Ukrainian missile troops hit 1 air defense system, 5 buildup of troops, weapons and military equipment, 9 artillery systems, and 6 other important targets of the russian invaders.


In the temporarily occupied town of Volnovakha, Donetsk region, the russian occupier shot dead a family of nine members, including two children. The family was shot because they refused to give their house to Kadyrivtsi. 

The Ukrainian military is testing the new ST1 demining drone, an autonomous drone for searching for mines, equipped with an induction coil and sensors that allow it to fly around obstacles at low altitude. There is a powerful microcomputer on board that processes data and transmits it to sappers in real time. In addition, ST1 works 4 times faster than a human, this will speed up the process of demining Ukrainian territories and make it safe.

Ukraine is preparing for the launch of “smart mobilisation”. People can choose specialisation for which they wish to mobilise. First, there will be a pilot project for drone operators: it will be possible to become a drone operator, join a company of strike drones, sapper, and driver. All positions will be available. The information on the military unit, duties, risks, training will be also available. There is no need to go to the military commissariat. The online test should be taken, if the characteristics match, the candidate will be trained by the experts from the battlefield.

Recent war events in the east of Ukraine

Ivan Shevtsov, Spokesman of the Stalevyi Kordon (Steel Border) Assault Border Guard Brigade, reported that on 29 October, the Armed Forces of Ukraine repelled 15 russian attacks towards Lyman-Kupiansk. During the day, russians lost about 170 soldiers and 19 pieces of equipment.

According to him, the most active areas are towards Ivanivka and Synkivka of Kharkiv oblast and Novoiehorivka of Luhansk oblast. The enemy goal is to reach the line on the left bank of the Oskil River, occupy Kupiansk and Kupiansk-Vuzlovyi, take fire control of roads, routes for the delivery of Ukrainian military equipment and personnel. Towards Lyman, the goal is to cross the administrative border of Luhansk oblast.

Kharkiv oblast

Viktor Kovalenko, Head of Zolochiv City Military Administration, informed that Ivashky and Perovske were under russian artillery attack for an hour in the morning. According to him, there were 18 attacks, six private buildings, two cars and gas networks were damaged.

Oleh Syniehubov, Head of Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, said that last night, around midnight, the enemy shelled Novoosynove village, Kupiansk region, with artillery. A private building and a garage were damaged. There were no casualties.

Around 2 am, Kupiansk-Vuzlovyi village, Kupiansk region, was shelled and a private building damaged. There were no casualties.

Yesterday the enemy shelled the border and frontline settlements of the region. In Kupiansk, a private residential building burned down as a result of hostile shelling.

Dvorichna, Synkivka, Petropavlivka, Ivanivka, Kyslivka, Berestove of Kupiansk region and other settlements were also under attack: Private buildings and outbuildings were damaged.

A 25-year-old man, who was hospitalised as a result of the enemy attack on the terminal of Nova Poshta, died in hospital this morning. Russian troops have already killed 7 people in the attack on Nova Poshta. Another 12 are being treated, 2 of them in intensive care.

Towards Kupiansk, Ukrainian troops repelled 7 enemy attacks near Synkivka and Ivanivka yesterday. The enemy is suffering losses and is not advancing.

Oleksandr Syrskyi, Commander of the Ground Forces of Ukraine, said that russian troops are trying to advance in several directions near Kupiansk. According to him, the invaders have also reinforced their grouping near Bakhmut and moved from defence to active actions.

Mayor Ihor Terekhov said that after the autumn holidays, 200 more students started studying at the Kharkiv underground school and the total number of school students studying in the classrooms equipped in the underground reached 1,388. According to him, the number of classes formed at the beginning of the second quarter has increased to 75, compared to 65 before the holidays.

Izium City Council is searching for relatives or acquaintances of more than 40 people who were exhumed from a mass grave in the forest last year after the de-occupation. According to Deputy Mayor Volodymyr Matsokin, only preliminary personal data of the dead could be established in a year.

Yurii Savchenko, Head of the North-Eastern Interregional Forestry and Hunting Department, stated that the Zhovtnevyi forestry in Yakovlivka village near Kharkiv has started planting young oaks and pines. The fighting covered 40% of the forests in Kharkiv oblast and part of the territory was mined by russian troops. The damage caused by russian shelling is at least UAH 100 billion.

Donetsk oblast

Volodymyr Fito, Head of the Public Relations Service of the Ground Forces Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, reported that russian troops intensified their activities near Bakhmut. There were 9 battles towards Bakhmut. Also russians launched 5 air strikes on Ukrainian positions, used 21 drones and made 547 attacks. The losses of russian troops in this sector are 132 servicemen.

According to Donetsk Regional Military Administration towards Volnovakha, two buildings in Novoukrainka were damaged. Maksymivka and Vuhledar were under attack. 3 buildings, 3 cars and a power line were damaged in Komar.

Towards Donetsk, 1 person was killed and 5 buildings damaged in Ostrivske of Kurakhove community. A power line was damaged in Voskhod of Ocheretyne community and the outskirts of Marinka community were shelled.

Towards Horlivka, a shop in Zalizne of Toretsk community was damaged. In Chasiv Yar community, 3 apartment buildings, an industrial building and a garage cooperative were damaged.

Towards Lysychansk, a building was damaged in Serebrianka of Siversk community. Lyman community was shelled 6 times.

During the week, 82 children were taken from the settlements of Pokrovsk and Bakhmut regions, where forced evacuation was announced. 213 more minors are to be evacuated.

The press service of Donetsk police said that Raisa Kostrychko and her cat Masha were evacuated from Avdiivka. The woman’s home was destroyed by russian invaders.

In Sviatohirsk, residents of private buildings are collecting firewood and buying heaters for their apartments. This will be the second winter without centralised heating. Funds will be allocated from the budget for fuel for large families and people with 1st group disabilities. Residents of apartment buildings will be offered to move to a temporary shelter for the winter.

Russian invaders are recruiting prisoners from the temporarily occupied territories of Donbas who were convicted before the war started in 2014. According to the ‎National Resistance Center, if they refuse, they are threatened with worse treatment in prisons.

Donetsk Regional Prosecutor’s Office said infomred that a criminal case was started regarding the murder of nine people in occupied Volnovakha, it is being investigated under the article “violation of the laws and customs of war”.  The armed men demanded that the family vacate the house to accommodate russian army unit. After refusal, on 27 October, representatives of russian armed forces shot the family in their home while they were sleeping. Among the killed were three women and two young children born in 2014 and 2018.

Luhansk oblast

According to Luhansk Regional Military Administration, russian troops reduced the use of drones due to the autumn weather but this did not affect the activity of russian aviation. Yesterday alone, Bilohorivka and the territory of Serebrianka forestry were hit from the sky. Artillery and mortars were used to shell Nevske and Bilohorivka.

The main russian forces were deployed towards Kupiansk but yesterday they also tried to attack southeast of Terny of Donetsk oblast, towards Lyman, near the administrative border with Luhansk oblast.

While russians are trying to launch the first and so far only modular boiler house in downtown Lysychansk, residents of a remote area of the city (near the former furniture factory) are still living without electricity. They are not promised any electricity as only concrete structures remain in the residential areas of the transformers that survived russian shelling. All metal has gradually disappeared over the year and a half of occupation. Each substation has to be rebuilt from scratch.

The total liquidation of the region’s coal industry continues. Mines in the occupied Luhansk oblast are being cut off from electricity for non-payment and their employees are facing another wave of forced mobilisation. The mines are being sealed up for an indefinite period of time, while at the same time being cut up for scrap. This process has already begun at the Chervonyi Partyzan, Tsentrosoiuz and Kharkivska mines. Previously, russians had declared them unprofitable.

Today, almost 2K people in the region are listed as missing. These are both military and civilians. Some of them are probably killed. It is known for certain that 87 civilians from Luhansk oblast are in captivity. Four have already been released. And russians do not want to negotiate the return of civilians, this process is very difficult. ALso russian special services are constantly preventing attempts of our Ukrainian citizens to escape from the occupation.

A woman with five children from a family-type orphanage evacuated from the occupied Luhansk oblast, russians forbade them to study in a Ukrainian school. The Podhaiko family-type orphanage was occupied in the first days of the full-scale invasion and there was no possibility to safely evacuate from Bilokurakyne.

What is happening now in the north of Ukraine

Kyiv oblast

The Cybersecurity: Challenges and Countermeasures event  was held in Bucha. The purpose of the event was to draw attention to the urgent problems of cybersecurity and protection against cyber threats for executive authorities and local governments. Representatives of the State Centre for Cyber Defence of the State Special Communications Service and the Cyber Police spoke about the available services, and IT specialists discussed cyber hygiene for public authorities. 

According to Kyiv RMA, 2 residential buildings in Dmytrivka are being restored at the expense of the Armed Aggression Relief Fund. They were significantly damaged during active hostilities and the occupation of the region. 

Kyiv RMA reported that the commission inspection of the reconstruction offacilities in the Kyiv oblast is ongoing. 11 facilities have already been inspected. The first stage is the inspection of 56 facilities that are being restored at the expense of the Fund for the Elimination of the Consequences of Armed Aggression.

According to Kyiv RMA, the oblast handed over 45 off-road vehicles and the necessary equipment to increase the number of mobile air defence firing groups. They are already being used in combat missions. Half of these vehicles were donated by AWT Bavaria, the official importer of the BMW Group in Ukraine. In the near future, it plans to deliver another 20 vehicles.

The World’s Longest Marathon charity race took place at Expocenter of Ukraine (VDNG) in Kyiv, with 12,000 people taking part around the world, including 1,600 in Kyiv. The organisers of the event aimed to raise funds for Ukrainian air defence and to remind the world community about the war in Ukraine.

Zhytomyr oblast

According to Zhytomyr RMA, the Polish-Ukrainian business forum was held in Zhytomyr last week. It was attended by Polish Ambassador to Ukraine Bartosz Cichocki and Consul General of the Republic of Poland Damian Czarcynski, as well as representatives of Ukrainian and Polish businesses. They discussed the prospects for implementing joint projects in various areas: infrastructure and economic recovery, logistics, industry, development of convenient services for Ukrainian citizens, and projects in Ukraine.

A regular military and patriotic training for young boys and girls was held in the Povstansky Khutir historical space. During the event, the participants gained practical skills in individual tactical training, tactical medicine, the use of unmanned aerial vehicles, and practicing elements of combat using paintball equipment.

5 students from Zhytomyr Oblast won prizes in the  I Have the Right to Life essay and drawing competition. The award ceremony took place at the Mykhailo Drahomanov Ukrainian State University.

Sumy oblast

At night and in the morning, russians fired 8 times at the border areas and settlements of Sumy oblast. There were 47 attacks with artillery and mortars. The Khotin, Bilopillia, Esman, Seredyna-Buda communities were shelled.

The enemy fired 23 times at 8 border communities of the region. Bilopillia, Krasnopillia, Myropil, Khotin, Putyvl, Seredyna-Buda, Shalyhine, Esman communities were under hostile fire. There were 82 mortar attacks, 8 artillery attacks, 100 attacks from AGS, an enemy FPV kamikaze drone attacked the territory of the Khotin community, an enemy drone dropped an explosive in the Esman community.

Over the past week, bomb squads discovered and destroyed 26 explosive items in Sumy oblast. The dangerous finds were discovered in Sumy, Okhtyrka, Konotop and Shostka districts. The destroyed arsenal includes artillery and rocket shells, mortar shells, grenade launchers, hand grenades and an aircraft bomb.

Chernihiv oblast

According to the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine,  russians shelled the border of Chernihiv oblast twice. There were 35 explosions. Two communities came under fire: Semenivka – 6 attacks from AGS towards Medvedivka; Horodnia – 29 attacks towards Senkivka.

Viacheslav Chaus, head of the RMA, reported that over the past 7 days, the enemy fired 30 times at 10 border settlements. The enemy fired more than 350 shells, including using aircraft.

The Ministry of Culture and Information Policy reported that this week, a UNESCO mission will assess the damage to cultural heritage sites in Chernihiv as a result of russian missile attacks. The mission plans to collect data on the damaged sites, including the Piatnytska Church, the Antonii Caves, the Chernihiv Regional Academic Music and Drama Theatre, and others. After collecting the relevant documentation and information, a rehabilitation plan will be prepared for these sites.

According to the Chernihiv RMA, in Chernihiv Oblast, the state has paid compensation for repairs to damaged homes in the amount of over UAH 100 million under 968 applications. More than two thousand more applications are being processed.

We received 462 rolls of insulation from our Danish partners. The same amount was delivered by Rockwool representatives at the end of last week. The material will be used to temporarily close the windows of damaged buildings, including those at the border, and for insulation in shelters.

Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine

Dnipropetrovsk oblast

Two enemy missiles were shot down over Dnipro region of the oblast. As a result of the attack an apartment building, a private house, a car, gates and fences were damaged. Also, the enemy hit Nikopol twice with artillery. About half a dozen shells were fired. The occupiers attacked Nikopol region 6 times during the day. 7 kamikaze drones were directed on the center district and fired with artillery. Myrove and Marhanets communities also were gotten under the fire. As a result of the attacks on Nikopol 18 private residential buildings, a skyscraper, 12 farm buildings, a shop, a religious institution, 2 cars, 3 gas pipelines, solar panels, 3 power lines and fences were damaged.

For over a year and a half, the russian army has been shelling Velykomykhailivsk forestry in Dnipropetrovsk region. The territory borders Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia oblasts. The last strike of russian occupiers was launched on August 23. They fired 4 rockets on the forestry territory. One of them hit residential buildings where forestry workers live.

Vinnytsia oblast

Roman Kashpur, veteran of the russia-Ukraine war from Khmilnyk took part in the US Marine Corps Marathon. The race took place on October 29 in Washington. He ran 42 km (26 miles) on the prosthesis. There were three distances: 10, 42 and 50 kilometers (6, 26 and 31 miles).The veteran chose 42-kilometer distance and ran with his wife. He plans to complete all six world marathons and reach 50 km. During the races, veteran raises funds for prosthetics and rehabilitation for soldiers with complex amputations. The money goes to the Citizen Charity foundation. This time, Roman plans to financially help the military on pseudo “Malyi”.

Department of mental support was created in Vinnytsia Center of teenage clubs by the place of residence. From November 1, three practical psychologists will work and three more are currently undergoing training. The department houses five practical psychologists and the head of psychological support department. One practical psychologist will work at two Centers of teenage clubs at the place of residence”. The center will work with adults, families, displaced people and defenders. 

Kirovohrad oblast

Andrii Raikovych, Head of RMA reported that at night one cruise missile was shot down over Kirovohrad region. 

There’s no one injured and no damaged civil infrastructure. 

Poltava oblast

People will pay tribute to fallen soldier Maksym Melnyk, born in 1989, in Lubenskyi district of Poltava oblast. The man was killed in action in October in Klishchiivka village of Donetsk oblast.

Cherkasy oblast

Ihor Taburets, Head of RMA reported that Air Defense Forces shot down a drone in Cherkasy region. Debris fell into the river. No one was injured.

Ihor Taburets, Head of RMA reports that 18 quick-build modular shelters have already been installed in places determined by the city government. The structures are installed and later on they’re going to be arranged so that they can be comfortable and still protective. Starting from communications, ending with seats. Depending on readiness, the Department of Civil Protection as a customer accepts these objects from contractor. Currently, there are already 5 of them. The process is ongoing. After completion of all mandatory procedures, the modular shelters will be sent to Cherkasy City Territorial Community. Once they are connected to the power supply they will become available for the citizens during air raids.

Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine

Zaporizhzhia oblast

Today, around 11:28, the enemy carried out a missile strike on Zaporizhia oblast. According to preliminary information russian military personnel used ballistic missiles. As a result of the attack, a social infrastructure facility was destroyed. No information has been received regarding casualties.

Yesterday, the occupiers launched 178 strikes on 23 populated areas in Zaporizhia oblast. The invaders intensified their attacks on the civilian population: a 16-year-old boy was injured in Novoiakovlivka due to artillery shelling, and a 59-year-old woman from Orikhiv was also wounded in artillery shelling. There were 35 UAV attacks on Huliaipole, Novodarivka, Charivne, Malynivka, Robotyne, Mala Tokmachka, Poltavka, Kamianske, Mali Shcherbaky, and Piatyhatky, along with 8 artillery strikes on Novoiakolivka, Mala Tokmachka, Malynivka, and Piatyhatky, and 3 airstrikes on Orikhiv and Robotyne. 132 artillery strikes hit the territory of Bilenke, Zaliznychne, Novoandriivka, Levadne, Iehorivka, Bilohiria, Temyrivka, Stepove, Kamianske, Piatyhatky, Mali Shcherbaky, and other frontline towns and villages. Six reports have been received regarding the destruction of residential buildings and infrastructure.

According to the General Staff’s report, the enemy attempted five times to regain lost positions in the area of Robotyne on the Zaporizhia front, but was unsuccessful. At the same time, UkrainianArmed Forces continue their offensive operations towards Melitopol, inflicting losses on occupying forces in personnel and equipment, and wearing down the enemy along the entire frontline.

It is reported that russian military personnel were unloading a vessel with military cargo in the temporarily occupied port of Berdiansk today. This was reported by Victoria Halitsyna, the head of Berdiansk City Military Administration.

Mykolaiv oblast

On the night of October 29, five russian drones of the “Shahed-136/131” type were shot down in Mykolaiv oblast. russian military forces also launched strikes in the waters of the Ochakiv area and outside the populated area of Kutsurub community. A fire broke out in a warehouse of a farm in the Bashtanka regionaAs a result of the debris from one of the downed drones. The fire has been extinguished, and there were no reported casualties. This information was provided by the head of the Mykolaiv RMA, Vitalii Kim.

Odesa oblast

On the morning of October 30, the russian army launched a missile attack, likely using the “Iskander-M” type ballistic missiles, on Odesa oblast. Their target was a ship repair yard. Four people were injured as a result of the attack. The attack also caused a fire, which was promptly extinguished by firefighters. The administrative building and equipment of the facility were damaged in the attack. This information was reported by the head of Odesa RMA, Oleh Kiper.

Kherson oblast

Today, after 15:00, russian occupying forces from the temporarily occupied left bank of the river shelled a cemetery in the suburbs of Kherson. One woman was killed, and another person was injured.

At noon, the russian army shelled Bilozerka with artillery, damaging private houses, a veterinary clinic, and vehicles. A 57-year-old man was wounded in his own yard and taken to the hospital.

The enemy launched two guided aerial bombs on a village in Beryslav region. The attack resulted in damage to houses and the destruction of the Chapel of the Holy Mother of God. Beryslav was shelled, and a 44-year-old woman and a 46-year-old man were injured at the city’s exit.

A residential house was shelled in Tomyna Balka, resulting in damage to windows, the facade, roof, and a fence. A 70-year-old man sustained minor shrapnel injuries. Another russian shelling hit the Kozatske settlement, injuring a 48-year-old local resident. He was taken to the hospital with a leg injury.

At around 10:30 in the morning, the russian army from the temporarily occupied left bank attacked Komyshany neighborhood. A 60-year-old man was wounded. At the time of the enemy attack, he was in an open area. Currently, the victim is in the hospital with abdominal and chest injuries, as well as multiple shrapnel wounds to his chest, abdomen, arms, and legs. His condition is assessed as moderately severe.

Yesterday, the enemy carried out 95 shelling attacks, launching 514 rounds from mortars, artillery, Grad MLRS, tanks, UAVs, and aircraft. Several times, the occupiers conducted aerial strikes on Odradokamianka, Beryslav, Zmiiivka, Novoberyslav, and Vesele. Due to bomb attacks, 15 private houses were destroyed, the plant area and another 15 private houses were damaged in Odradokamianka. Six private houses were damaged in Beryslav, 11 houses were destroyed and seven were damaged in Vesele. A 46-year-old man sustained severe injuries due to enemy artillery shelling at Novoberyslav, and passed away in the hospital. Due to enemy shelling at Zolota Balka, a warehouse caught fire, a store, local residents’ houses, and outbuildings were damaged. An automobile, a tractor, and the power grid were damaged during artillery shelling in Khreshchenivka. The enemy fired 46 shells at the city of Kherson. Residential areas in the Central, Dniprovsky, and Korabelny districts in  In Kherson city were shelled. A 43-year-old woman was injured during enemy artillery shelling in Tavriyskyi district, with damage to a multi-story building and two cars. At night, the occupiers launched multiple rocket artillery strikes on the Pivnichnyi district, causing damage to a school, three private houses, and a multi-story building. Due to russian aggression, two people were killed, and four others were injured yesterday. The police opened nine criminal cases related to war crimes committed by russian military personnel in Kherson oblast.

Police evacuated six adults and four children from Beryslav. The operation to rescue people took place under heavy russian military shelling, where the enemy dropped ammunition on residential areas with drones, then shelled the city with mortars, and fired from tanks. By morning, the police evacuated four families with six children, as well as an elderly woman and a man who couldn’t leave on their own. According to the people, the decision to leave their homes was made under duress after increased rrussian aerial attacks on the city. The police handed over the families to volunteers who will take them to safer regions.

Builders from Poltava have already repaired 72 houses in Chkalove and Pravdyne. Around150 residents with children live there. Teams of specialists are replacing windows, doors, repairing roofs, and insulating walls. Some houses are practically being reconstructed.

Today, 59 more children from Kherson oblast were evacuated to the Carpathians. These are children living in Komyshany, Antonivka, Pryozerne, Zymivnyk, and Kherson, which are shelled daily. The evacuated children have not left their homes since the full-scale war began. They traveled to Odesa by an evacuation bus with the escort of 22 adults from the regional center. From there, they will go to the “Prykarpatskyi” sanatorium in Iaremche. These children will stay in the health resort with the consent of their parents for a month, and the vacation may be extended if necessary.

Kherson received another ambulance vehicle from philanthropists. The ambulance is equipped with all the necessary equipment for providing emergency medical care to seriously ill patients and resuscitation at the pre-hospital stage. Philanthropists also sent 200 sports uniforms for stabilization points.

Zakarpattia oblast

The Owl’s Nest humanitarian aid center provided aid to IDPs registered in Uzhhorod, namely: 50 packages with necessary things for children under 1 year old; 50 grocery sets, clothes, bed linen and dishes (1,3K units) thanks to the PDUM Partnerschaft Deutschland-Ukraine/Moldova e. V., Luftfahrt ohne Grenzen / Wings of Help eV and other benefactors.

Ivano-Frankivsk oblast

In Ivano-Frankivsk community, 32 defenders who are currently defending Ukraine or were disabled or injured before the anniversary of the full-scale invasion will receive UAH 20K each. The total amount of payments is UAH 640K. 5 people from families of the killed and missing will receive payments in the amount of UAH 400K. 8 people from families of the killed and missing receive monthly payments in the amount of the subsistence minimum. 57 defenders who are currently taking a direct part in hostilities, but do not have the status of a participant in hostilities and do not use benefits for housing and communal services, will receive assistance in the amount of UAH 3K. 25 wounded soldiers will receive UAH 10K each for treatment.

In Ivano-Frankivsk community, relatives of the fallen Heroes will receive UAH 60K each, as assistance for erecting a monument. This week, 6 more families will receive such assistance. And in general, since the beginning of the program – 43 families for the amount of UAH 2,58 mln. They also approved aid for 72 participants of the Anti-terrorist Operation / Operation of the United Forces or family members of the fallen defenders for treatment in the amount of UAH 1,826 mln (according to the decision of the coordination committee).

Lviv oblast

Rescuers of Lviv oblast received 4 cars, including 2 passenger cars, a fire truck and a truck ladder from the Republic of Austria.

28 children of fallen soldiers and defenders of Ukraine returned from an educational and touristic trip to Croatia. It was organized thanks to the Embassy of Ukraine in the Republic of Croatia, the Honorary Consul of Ukraine in the city of Split and Lviv RMA.

Andrii Politil, a defender from Dobrotvir community, was posthumously awarded the 3th degree For Courage Order. The 23-year-old serviceman was killed in November 2022.

The Defender of the Fatherland medal was posthumously awarded to Taras Prudyvus, a soldier from Strii region. The 24-year-old grenade launcher of a paratrooper platoon was killed in August 2022 in a battle with occupiers in Donetsk oblast

Rivne oblast

In Rivne oblast, 4 more enterprises were recognized as critically important for the oblast. In total, reservations have already been received by almost 80 enterprises of Rivne oblast in various fields. In accordance with the procedure, companies submit documents to the RMA, where after their approval they are sent to the General Staff and the Ministry of Economy. If the importance of the enterprise is confirmed at the central level, then they will be able to book up to half of conscripts. Over 50% of workers can book only enterprises of the fuel and energy complex.

Rivne Vocational and Technical Education Center of the State Employment Service launched courses for operators of unmanned aerial vehicles as early as autumn 2022. To date, over 100 drone operators have been trained.

The Mental Health Center has started work in Rivne. The opening of the Center took place within the framework of the all-Ukrainian mental health program How are You?, which is being implemented at the initiative of First Lady Olena Zelenska.

Ternopil oblast

In Ternopil oblast, military and civil people can get free rehabilitation assistance in a hospital in 8 medical institutions. By the end of 2023, non-specialized inpatient rehabilitation departments should work in most cluster and super-cluster hospitals of Ternopil oblast. At least 4 more branches will be opened in the oblast.

Khmelnytskyi oblast

Enemy attack UAVs attacked Khmelnytskyi. Air defense forces were working. There were no casualties or damage to infrastructure facilities.

A commemorative plaque was opened in Khmelnytskyi in honor of Hero Oleksii Sorvilov. The memorial sign was placed on the territory of Khmelnytskyi city ritual service, where the man worked as a driver and security guard. The defender was killed on October 25, 2022 in the battles for Kherson oblast.

Chernivtsi oblast

The RMA held a meeting with Iryna-Loredana Stanculescu, Consul General of Romania in Chernivtsi. They discussed the issue of cooperation in the field of culture.

International support of Ukraine in the russian-Ukrainian war (russia’s invasion of Ukraine)

The German Air Force reported that the country began training a group of Ukrainian fighters to operate the Patriot anti-aircraft missile complex.

The European Commission reported that the European Defense Agency signed nine framework contracts with the European defense industry for the purchase of 155-caliber ammunition for Ukraine.

Stefan de Keersmaeker, spokesperson of the European Commission, stated that after the meeting in Malta, the European Commission confirmed its support for the Ukrainian Peace Formula.

Oleksandra Ustinova, Head of the Verkhovna Rada’s commission for control of arms supplies from the West, announced that Ukraine, together with the US, is creating the FrankenSAM air defense system to counter future missile strikes.  

The Office of the President of Ukraine reported that Canada offered to create an international coalition that would facilitate the return of Ukrainian children deported by russia. This initiative will be a continuation of the Bring Kids Back UA plan of the President of Ukraine. It is an element of the plan for implementation of the Peace Formula in terms of the return of deported children, the release of civilian hostages and prisoners of war.

Andrii Yermak, Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, met with James O’Brien, US Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs. They discussed military and financial support for Ukraine.
