War in Ukraine today: latest news, October 10, 2023 (photo)

It has been the 594th day of the Ukrainian resistance to the russian military aggression. 

What happened in Ukraine today:

Here is operational information of the General Staff as of 6 pm:   

There were 75 combat engagements. The russian federation launched a missile strike with 1 S-300 anti-aircraft guided missile on civilian houses in the settlement of Velykyi Burluk, Kharkiv oblast. Moreover, the occupiers attacked the southern regions of Ukraine with 36 Shahed-136/131 attack UAVs. Air defense forces shot down 27 enemy Shaheds. The enemy launched a total of 2 missile and 62 air strikes, 30 MLRS attacks at the positions of Ukrainian troops and various settlements. The russian terrorist attacks have resulted in deaths and injuries among civilians. Private residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure were destroyed and damaged.

The operational situation in east and south of Ukraine remains difficult.

Towards Volyn and Polissia, there were no significant changes and no signs of forming an offensive group. Certain units of the armed forces of belarus continue their missions in the areas bordering Ukraine.

Towards Siversk and Sloboda, the enemy maintains its military presence in the areas of russia bordering Ukraine. They continue to shell Ukrainian settlements from the territory of russia and increase the density of minefields along the state border of Ukraine. They launched air strikes in the vicinity of settlements of Bleshua, Chernihiv oblast, Bachivsk, Popivka, Sumy oblast, Basove, Hatysche, Vovchanski Khutory, Kharkiv oblast. The invaders fired artillery and mortars at about 15 settlements, including Turia, Chernihiv oblast, Iskryskivschyna, Stepne, Myropilske, Pokrovka, Sumy oblast, Ternova, Ohirtseve, Stroivka, Krasne Pershe, Kharkiv oblast. 

Towards Kupiansk, the Ukrainian defenders repelled 16 enemy attacks in the vicinity of Synkivka and 5 attacks near Ivanivka, Kharkiv oblast. They launched air strikes in the vicinity of Synkivka, Kyslivka, Pischane, Kharkiv oblast. Over 15 settlements, including Lyman Pershyi, Synkivka, Kyslivka, Tabaivka, Pischane, Berestove, Kharkiv oblast came under artillery and mortar fire.

Towards Lyman, the enemy actively used air force to attack the positions of Ukrainian troops in the area of Serebrianske forestry, southwest of Kreminna, Luhansk oblast. They also launched air strikes on Novoliubivka, Luhansk oblast and Spirne, Donetsk oblast. The Ukrainian defenders repelled 5 enemy attacks near Makiivka, Luhansk oblast. The invaders fired artillery and mortars at over 10 settlements, including Makiyivka, Nevske, Bilohorivka, Luhansk oblast and Torske, Dibrova, Verkhniokamianske, Donetsk oblast.

Towards Bakhmut, the Ukrainian defenders repelled enemy attacks in the area of Chasiv Yar, Klischiivka and Andriivka, Donetsk oblast. The invaders launched air strikes there. Over 20 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire, including Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Hryhorivka, Bohdanivka, Ivanivske, Klischiivka, Andriivka, Donetsk oblast.

Towards Avdiivka, with up to three battalions, the enemy supported with tanks and armoured vehicles, intensified offensive actions in the vicinities of Avdiivka, Tonenke, Keramik and Pervomaiske, Donetsk oblast. Ukrainian defenders repelled all enemy attacks and prevented loss of lines and positions. The occupiers launched air strikes in the vicinity of Berdychi and Avdiivka, Donetsk oblast. The invaders fired artillery and mortars at around 10 settlements, including Keramik, Tonenke, Avdiyivka, Sjeverne, Opytne, Nevelske, Donetsk oblast.

Towards Mariinka, Ukrainian Defense Forces successfully repelled 9 enemy attacks in the vicinities of Mariinka, Donetsk oblast. The adversary launched an airstrike near Novomykhailivka. About 15 settlements, including Krasnohorivka, Mariinka, Pobieda, Novomykhailivka, Katerynivka, Donetsk oblast were under artillery and mortar fire of the occupiers.

Towards Shakhtarsk, the enemy launched an airstrike in the area of Staromaiorske, Donetsk oblast. Around 10 settlements, including Vodyane, Vuhledar, Blahodatne, Urozhaine, Donetsk oblast, came under artillery and mortar fire.

Towards Zaporizhzhia, the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled enemy attacks in the vicinity of Inzhenerne and Verbove, Zaporizhzhia oblast. The occupiers launched an airstrike near Novodanylivka, Zaporizhzhia oblast. Over 30 settlements, including Huliaipole, Zaliznychne, Charivne, Bilohiria, Novodanylivka, Lobkove, Zaporizhzhia oblast, came under enemy artillery and mortar fire.

Towards Kherson, the enemy fired artillery and mortars at Beryslav, Antonivka, Kherson oblast and the city of Kherson.

The Ukrainian defense forces continue their offensive operation towards Melitopol and Bakhmut, inflicting losses in manpower and equipment on the occupation forces, exhausting the enemy all along the front line.

Ukrainian Air Forces launched 11 air strikes on the concentrations of troops, weapons and military equipment, 5 strikes on anti-aircraft systems of the adversary. Ukrainian defenders also shot down 1 russian Su-25 fighter jet and 7 operational-tactical reconnaissance UAVs.

The Ukrainian missile troops hit 1 command post, 1 ammunition depot, 3 buildups of troops, weapons and military equipment, 7 artillery systems, 1 electronic warfare station of the russian invaders.


Since the beginning of the full-scale russian invasion, over 27,000 civilians have been injured in Ukraine. According to the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, 27,768 civilian victims were registered throughout Ukraine, including 560 children. The real number of victims is much higher.

The National Police of Ukraine is investigating 54 cases of sexual violence against Ukrainians by the russian military. The law enforcement officers have already identified and announced suspicions against 19 occupiers. Currently, the procedure of declaring the suspects on the international wanted list is ongoing. 

Recent war events in the east of Ukraine

Illia Yevlash, Head of the press service of the Eastern Group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, reported that the enemy attacked towards Lyman and Kupiansk with artillery, mortars and grenade launchers 608 times. Enemy used aircraft 20 times yesterday.

12 russian attacks were repelled: five towards Kupiansk and seven towards Lyman. 139 invaders were eliminated. 13 units of weapons and military equipment of the invaders were destroyed. Specifically two tanks – T-72 and T-80, two BMP-2 and an armoured personnel carrier, an Msta-B cannon, two D-20 cannons, a mortar, three vehicles and an ammunition depot were destroyed. The Zoopark radio location system for reconnaissance and fire control was damaged.

Kharkiv oblast

Oleh Syniehubov, Head of Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, reported that towards Kupiansk, our defenders are in full control of the situation. Yesterday  five enemy attacks were repelled in Synkivka and Ivanivka.

In the morning, the enemy launched a missile attack, using S-300 anti-aircraft missile complexes, on Velykyi Burluk settlement, Kupiansk region. Two women aged 45 and a 34-year-old man were injured.

Yesterday the enemy attacked settlements of Kharkiv, Chuhuiv and Kupiansk regions with artillery, mortars and aircraft.

Also russian invaders launched air strikes on Kindrashivka, Petropavlivka and Pishchane of Kupiansk region. A private building was damaged in Kindrashivka. There were no casualties.

A power line was damaged as a result of mortar shelling in Kozacha Lopan, Kharkiv region.

In addition, Vovchanski Khutory, Okhrymivka, Dvorichna, Kyslivka and other settlements were targeted.

Yesterday pyrotechnics  of the State Emergency Service examined more than 11 hectares of territory and defused 114 explosive ordnance.

Prosecutor’s Office informed that the death toll in Hroza village as a result of russian missile strike has increased to 53 people, including an 8-year-old boy. Six civilians were injured. The identification of the bodies of the killed continues. So far, 49 bodies have been identified and 5 people are still missing.

21 residents of a building on Tarasenko Street in Kharkiv were relocated after the missile hit the building. They were given free rooms in a local hotel. The blast wave damaged all the apartments in the building and destroyed the premises on the third floor. On 6 September, a 10-year-old boy and his 68-year-old grandmother were killed in the building.

Donetsk oblast

Vitalii Barabash, Head of Avdiivka City Military Administration, reported about enemy non-stop massive attacks since 6 am. Heavy fighting continues to the north of the city.

Mykola Kovalenko, Head of Ocheretyne Village Military Administration, informed that russian troops shelled Ocheretyne with Uragan MRLs in the morning. The shelling caused a fire at the railway station. There were no casualties.

According to Donetsk Regional Military Administration, 1 person was killed in Kostiantynivka and 2 injured in Yelyzavetivka in Marinka community towards Donetsk. Ocheretyne was shelled three times with Uragan MRLs, destroying a building. Avdiivka was under shelling and air strikes that injured 2 people.

Towards Volnovakha, russians shelled Vuhledar, with no casualties.

Towards Horlivka, 5 buildings were damaged in Toretsk community: 3 in Dyliivka, 1 in Toretsk and Dachne. An infrastructure facility was also damaged in Toretsk. In Chasiv Yar community, 2 buildings were damaged.

Towards Lysychansk, 2 buildings in Siversk were damaged. Torske and Zarichne of Lyman community were shelled.

Ihor Moroz, Acting Head of Donetsk Regional Military Administration, said that 315 critical infrastructure enterprises in Donetsk oblast have already been provided with backup power from generators of varying capacities, while the region needs 111 more generators.

Vadym Liakh, Head of Sloviansk City Military Administration, reported that 882 residential buildings were damaged and destroyed during the war in the community. Under the eRestoration programme, 16 families, whose houses were destroyed, received more than UAH 18 million from the state. So far, 792 houses have been examined in the community and 459 people have already received money for repairs.

Luhansk oblast

According to Luhansk Regional Military Administration, the Armed Forces of Ukraine repelled seven more enemy attacks in Makiivka. Also russians shelled Nevske with artillery, where six explosions were recorded. Bilohorivka was hit by enemy shelling and aircraft.

Yesterday a man and a woman were evacuated from Makiivka, near which hostilities are taking place. Unfortunately, people are staying in their homes until the very last moment when it has become extremely dangerous to stay there.

The so-called “LPR” claims that a new mobile operator is to start providing services there in October. The operator will start operating in Luhansk, Alchevsk, Perevalsk, Krasnodon, while wired communications are being installed in the territories occupied last year. The prohibition on mobile internet services will also remain unchanged.

The situation with the stationary Internet is not so simple as the invaders are going to allow access to Wi-Fi only after identification.

Between Novopskov and Starobilsk, the invaders stop vehicles and carefully check passengers. Men of draft age receive agenda.

What is happening now in the north of Ukraine

Kyiv oblast

According to Kyiv RMA, In Bucha, an apartment building on Kyivo-Myrotska Street, home to more than a hundred people, is being restored. The building was heavily damaged at the beginning of the russian invasion. The damaged structures are currently being dismantled, the roof and ceilings will be renovated, the interior will be repaired. The overhaul is being carried out at the expense of the Fund for the Elimination of the Consequences of Armed Aggression.

The Kyiv RMA reported that Kyiv authorities are preparing for the heating season. They are focusing their efforts on physical protection of important facilities and network redundancy. Last year, the energy infrastructure of Ukraine and Kyiv was the main target of enemy air aggression. Massive attacks with missiles and drones damaged about 63% of the city’s energy facilities.

The Kyiv subway has been replenished with six more Warsaw cars. They were handed over by Polish colleagues as part of technical assistance to the Kyiv metro. This is the seventh batch. All 60 cars are expected to be delivered by the end of this year.

The Kyiv City State Administration reported that only 9% of Kyiv residents rate their mental state as stable. While in April, 22% of respondents assessed their mental state as stable, in the latest survey, only 9% of them did.

On the occasion of the Mental Health Day, a regional event was held called the Kyiv Region Mental Health Day. Its main idea was the experience of the region from occupation to victory. Participants discussed the current challenges in the psychosocial sphere faced by service providers and recipients.

In Bucha, students of the Perlynka pre-school joined the support of Ukrainian soldiers defending Ukraine in the war zone. Together with the children and their parents, the teachers collected parcels with essential items and goodies that have already been delivered to Ukrainian defenders in Donetsk and Kharkiv oblasts.

Zhytomyr oblast

Vitalii Bunechko, the head of the Zhytomyr RMA, reported that a stabilisation fund has been set up in the Zhytomyr Oblast, which will be used to make it through the year without personal income tax on payments to the military. 

Zhytomyr Oblast has an additional 50,000 places for IDPs from the regions in case the fighting at the front intensifies. According to Vitalii Bunechko, at the peak time of evacuation, more than 100,000 IDPs were in Zhytomyr Oblast. Currently, 60,000 IDPs live in the region.

Residential buildings in Zhytomyr are 90% ready for the start of the heating season.  52 heating plants in the regional centre are ready for operation. Hospitals, kindergartens and schools will be the first to be connected to the heating system.

Sumy oblast

According to the Krasnopillia village authorities, the russian military struck Krasnopillia community in Sumy Oblast. As a result of the shelling in the village of Uhroidy, a 13-year-old child was wounded. He was rushed to a Sumy medical institution. A school building in the community was also damaged, with windows smashed and the roof damaged.

The Sumy RMA reported that russians fired three mortar attacks at the border. There were 21 explosions in total. Shalyhine (6 explosions), Krasnopillia (11) and Khotin (4) communities were shelled. 

It is reported that russians fired five times at the border. There were 17 explosions from artillery, mortars and helicopter attacks on the NAP. Bilopillia, Khotin, Krasnopillia and Velyka Pysarivka communities came under fire.

Chernihiv oblast

It is reported that russians fired 3 times at the border of Chernihiv oblast. There were 9 attacks with unguided aerial missiles towards Halahanivka and Mykolaivka (Semenivka community) and 10 attacks with multiple rocket launchers towards Senkivka (Horodnia community).

The Chernihiv Border Guard Detachment reported that on October 8, Andrii Yuzkov, a border guard and soldier, was killed while performing a combat mission on the territory of the Novhorod-Siverska community. 

The Smilіvі Charitable Foundation, with the support of the U-LEAD with Europe Programme, has restored the Lyceum in the Chernihiv Oblast. This is a unique building, built in 1927 using traditional Ukrainian technology. It was damaged by shelling in March 2022. The school was repaired as part of the Rebuilding Local Schools for Resilience initiative. More than 40 local residents and 60 volunteers completely restored the school’s exterior walls in 20 days.

Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine

Dnipropetrovsk oblast

The enemy shelled Nikopol with artillery four times and launched more than fifteen shots. A hotel complex, 6 private buildings, 5 outbuildings, 2 gas pipelines and a power line were damaged and  2 buildings destroyed.

Marhanets community was attacked with Grad MRLs. A medical facility, 4 residential buildings and 4 outbuildings were damaged.

Serhii Lysak, Head of Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, reported that russian troops attacked Nikopol in the morning.

13 pick-up trucks were delivered to the defenders, who are defending the borders of Dnipropetrovsk oblast. These are off-road vehicles. All of them have powerful engines. These vehicles are indispensable in combat missions. During the full-scale war alone volunteers have delivered 165 vehicles, dozens of drones and thermal imagers to the frontline. They also sent ATVs, ammunition, generators and first aid kits.

Vinnytsia oblast

​​Educational institutions in Vinnytsia community organised charity festivals and fairs to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Vinnytsia Lyceum No. 3 joined the charity by organising the Glory to Ukraine festival to raise funds to help Ukrainian defenders. For a symbolic donation, each participant received a lunch box containing traditional Ukrainian dishes. The students and teaching staff set themselves the goal of raising funds for the car on their own and this is not the first time this secondary school has organised charity fairs. The money raised were used to buy turnstiles, binoculars, heating pads and equipment for the soldiers. They also allocated for a drone and a thermal imager. Parents of school students wove camouflage nets during the festival. As a result, the participants of the Glory to Ukraine festival raised UAH 156K and have already started looking for the vehicle they need.

Kirovohrad oblast

IDPs, who cannot afford to pay rent, are offered rooms in a dormitory of local lyceum  in Bobrynets city. They were arranged with furniture, boilers and showers. In addition to IDPs, students from the surrounding villages can live there. Since November last year, the lyceum’s dormitory has been undergoing its first major repairs in 45 years. The furniture was purchased and delivered at the expense of ACTED and UNICEF. UAH 414K was allocated from the community budget for the repair. Bobrynka is home to IDPs from Donetsk, Mykolaiv and Kherson oblasts, specifically, 798 people, including 232 children.

Poltava oblast

Dmytro Lunin, Head of Poltava Regional Military Administration, informed that three families of the victims of an enemy missile attack on an industrial facility in Hoholeve will receive assistance from the regional budget. This month they will be paid UAH 50K each. 

Three victims, who sustained injuries of varying degrees, will receive UAH 30K each: UAH 15K, UAH 10K and UAH 5K. Financial assistance will also be provided to victims of a missile attack on Kremenchuk. 15 people, who sent applications and the necessary documents, will receive payments. Applications continue to be received by the RMA’s specialised commission.

Cherkasy oblast

Ihor Taburets, Head of Cherkasy Regional Military Administration, confirmed that a total of 12 pick-up trucks were delivered to the 118th Territorial Defence Brigade: 7 from the Strength. Unity. Freedom charity foundation; 5 from the All-Ukrainian Agrarian Council. These vehicles will serve the defenders in heavy fights areas.

Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine

Zaporizhzhia oblast

Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration reported that on October 9 russian troops fired at 21 settlements in Zaporizhzhya region. 95 artillery attacks were registered on the territory of Huliaipol, Orikhove, Zaliznychne, Robotyne, Novoandriivka, Bilohirya, Stepove, Kamianske, Lobkove and other frontline towns and villages. The enemy fired 9 MLRS attacks on Orikhiv, Novodanylivka, Preobrazhenka, Mala Tokmachka and Levadne, as well as 11 UAV attacks on Chervone, Charivne, Novodanylivka, Mala Tokmachka, Shcherbaky and Mali Shcherbaky. There were no casualties. This was reported by the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration.

On October 10, 2023, Petro Kotin, Energoatom President, and Dmytro Orlov, Head of Enerhodar Military Administration,  signed a memorandum of cooperation to restore the city and the plant after de-occupation. The memorandum is aimed at strengthening long-term cooperation and joining efforts to restore nuclear and radiation safety at ZNPP, as well as ensuring the safety of citizens after the de-occupation of the plant.

Ivan Fedorov, Mayor of Melitopol, reported that the militarization of children continues on the territory occupied by russia. In Melitopol, children, dressed in military uniforms, were forced to participate in propaganda ceremony dedicated  opening of the young army palace.  It is a military-patriotic movement that militarises and trains children. 

Mykolaiv oblast

Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, reported that on the night of October 10, in Mykolaiv oblast, air defence forces and means destroyed one Shahed-136/131 attack UAV. 

The EU and UNDP have donated three specialised vehicles to provide social services to the population of Mykolaiv region. The specialised vehicles, received within the framework of the Regional Office for International Cooperation (ROC), will strengthen the ability to respond to the social needs of residents of Bashtanka, Novobuzka and Koblivka communities in Mykolaiv oblast.

Classes on safe space, drawing, fairy tale therapy, film training, master classes, and games. Mykolaiv has become one of 13 cities in Ukraine where the Children’s Voices charity foundation has a branch. The specialists provide psychological assistance to children affected by the war. The official opening of the centre was scheduled for October 14, but the charity foundation actually began its activities in Mykolaiv in the spring of 2023.

Ruslana Omelyanchuk, coordinator of the program “How are you?”, reported that on October 10, Mykolaiv hosted an interactive event called “Journey to Mental Health” as part of the All-Ukrainian program “How Are You?” initiated by First Lady Olena Zelenska. All interested citizens were able to use the services of psychologists. The event was organised on the occasion of World Mental Health Day. 

On October 10, Frederick Gillingham, British journalist, a representative of the American non-profit news platform Mongabay, visited Mykolaiv oblast. He is filming material for a documentary about the devastating environmental impact of the war in Ukraine.

Odesa oblast

Southern Defense Forces of Ukraine reported that on the night of October 10, the russian army attacked the southern regions of Ukraine. Over Odesa oblast, 23 Shahed-131/136 attack drones were shot down. There were hits on the logistics infrastructure of the oblast. 

According to the press service of the Ukrainian Navy, as of 09:00 on October 10, there is one enemy Caliber cruise missile carrier on combat duty in the Black Sea. 

The Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service in Odesa oblast reported on October 10 that a mobile security class has arrived in Odesa. This vehicle, which is equipped with everything needed to teach children about safe behaviour during the war, looks like a van. Inside, there is a learning space with tables, chairs, and visual materials. The kit comes with an obstacle course where children can practise firefighting, tie rescue knots and just have fun. 

Kherson oblast

An 85-year-old woman was wounded in another shelling of Komyshany, Kherson region. Doctors treated her, and she is currently in moderate condition. Almost 30 houses in the village were damaged.

Natalia Humeniuk, Head of the Joint Coordination Press Center of the Southern Defense Forces, reported that at night on October 10, three russian drones were shot down over the Kherson oblast. 

At three in the morning, on October 10, the russian army shelled Novodmitrivka in Kherson region. They hit an agricultural enterprise. About dozen cows were killed.

Oleksandr Prokudin, Head of Kherson Regional Military Administration, reported that on October 9, the russian army fired 443 shells at Kherson region. They hit a library building in Kherson and a house of culture in Beryslav region. Four people were injured. 

Oleksandr Prokudin, Head of Kherson Regional Military Administration, reported that residents of Kherson and Mykolaiv oblasts who lost their crops as a result of the terrorist attack on the Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant caused by the russian occupiers are receiving financial compensation from the state. To date, UAH 7 million in compensation has already been paid. 

A telemedicine center was opened in the Tyahyn community. The center has the necessary equipment for video communication with doctors. Here you can get referrals to specialists, hospitalization, and prescriptions from the Affordable Medicines program. All services at the center are free of charge. The project was created by the NGO Keysers.

Latest news for today in the western regions of Ukraine

Volyn oblast

Yurii Pohuliajko, Head of the RMA, announced the heating season will soon begin and it is necessary to be prepared for emergency situations of various kinds. That is why training of forces and means of civil protection took place in the oblast at one of the heat supply facilities.

Zakarpattia oblast

Zakarpattia received the first 12 tablets from UNDP for implementation of projects supporting veterans today. Modern gadgets were directed to the social protection bodies of the population in communities of Uzhgorod, Mukachiv and Berehiv districts.

Ivano-Frankivsk oblast

Ruslan Marcinkiv, Mayor of Ivano-Frankivsk, reported that a commemorative plaque to military serviceman Volodymyr Klid was unveiled on the facade of Lyceum #10.

Lviv oblast

The RMA held a meeting with Stefan Kossoff, director of the development program of the Embassy of Great Britain in Ukraine. Preparations for winter, rehabilitation of the wounded, and the needs of IDPs were discussed.

As part of the Children’s Hope charity project, the UNBROKEN KIDS Children’s Rehabilitation Center of the First Medical Association of Lviv received UAH 10 mln worth of equipment for the treatment of children with thermal injuries thanks to the National Rehabilitation Center UNBROKEN, the mobile operator Kyivstar and the dobro.ua charity platform.

Zimnovodovo community received 2 fire engines, 2 motor pumps and equipment for work in emergency situations from the German city of Ravensburg.

Neurosurgeons of the Center for Neurosurgery and Neurology of the First Medical Association of Lviv completed their internship at one of the largest and most famous clinics in Japan – Fujita Health University Hospital. The internship lasted a month. As part of the training, specialists also visited the leading neurosurgical clinic of Juntendo University Hospital in Tokyo, where they had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with advanced neurosurgical equipment. And also took part in the congress of neurosurgeons, where medics from all over the world exchanged their experience of treating patients.

The RMA reported that a delegation of German businessmen is visiting Lviv oblast to meet with representatives of the business environment of the oblast and organizations that contribute to its development.

In Zhovtanetsk community, during a charity concert, residents of Novyi Stav village donated almost UAH 50K to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In addition, charity matches were held in the villages of Zhovtansi and Remeniv. The total amount of collected funds is over UAH 40K. The funds will be sent to the military.

A monument on the grave of defender of Ukraine Nazar Bryk was consecrated in Khodorov. He was killed on October 2, 2022 as a result of mortar shelling near the village of Davidiv Brid, Kherson oblast. According to the decree of the President of Ukraine, Nazar was awarded with the 3th degree For Courage Order (posthumously).

Rivne oblast

Olena Handzyuk, mental health coordinator in Rivne oblast, reported that in oblast, psychological services are already provided in 63 primary health care institutions.

Ternopil oblast

Ternopil City Council reported that medics of the municipal dental polyclinic provided assistance to over 150 defenders. This is the 14th trip of mobile dentistry to the military on the front lines.

Khmelnytskyi oblast

International support of Ukraine in the russian-Ukrainian war (russia’s invasion of Ukraine)

Finland announced the allocation of an additional EUR 92 mln to support Ukraine and countries affected by russian aggression. The allocated funds will be directed to the Crisis Fund of the International Development Association of the World Bank Group. EUR 62 mln will go to the Ukraine and Moldova Recovery Support Program: EUR 12 mln in the form of a grant, and EUR 50 mln in the form of a loan.

The Rheinmetall German concern announced another order of 150K artillery ammunition for Ukraine. The first tens of thousands of shells will be delivered already this year, the rest in 2024.

The World Bank approved the use of the Prozorro system for all projects it finances in Ukraine. The new procedure will make it possible to accept offers from participants in different currencies, to consider offers in stages, to choose a winner not only based on the price criterion, etc.

Turkey, Romania and Bulgaria plan to create a special unit for demining the Black Sea. Despite the fact that three countries are members of NATO, their efforts will be completely peaceful and do not involve the involvement of NATO ships.
