It has been the 585th day of the Ukrainian resistance to the russian military aggression. 

What happened in Ukraine today:

Here is operational information of the General Staff as of 6 pm:   

There were 30 combat clashes during the day. The russian federation launched another attack on Ukraine, using about 30 Shahed-136/131 attack UAVs from the southern, southeastern and northern directions. Air defense forces and means destroyed 16 enemy drones. 

In total, the russian army launched 8 missile and 72 air strikes, fired 20 times from multiple launch rocket systems at the positions of Ukrainian troops and settlements. Unfortunately, russian terrorist attacks have resulted in civilian casualties and injuries. Private residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure were destroyed and damaged.

Towards Volyn and Polissia, the situation remained unchanged. There were no signs of offensive groups forming. Certain units of the belarusian Armed Forces are performing tasks in the areas bordering Ukraine.

Towards Siversk and Sloboda, the enemy maintains a military presence in the border areas, continues shelling settlements from the territory of the russian federation, and increases the density of minefields along the state border of Ukraine. The enemy carried out air strikes near the settlements of Hatyshche and Zemlianky in Kharkiv oblast. More than 35 settlements came under enemy artillery and mortar fire, including Senkivka in Chernihiv oblast; Stepne, Volodymyrivka, Khotyn, Stepok, Pokrovka, Ryasne in Sumy oblast, and Odradne, Dvorichanske, Krasne Pershe in Kharkiv oblast. 

Towards Kupiansk, the enemy conducted an air strike near Ivanivka, Kharkiv oblast. Artillery and mortar attacks by the enemy hit more than 10 settlements, including Novomlynsk, Lyman Pershyi, Synkivka, Petropavlivka, Tabaivka, Berestove in Kharkiv oblast.

Towards Lyman, Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled an enemy attack near Makiivka, Luhansk oblast. The enemy conducted air strikes in the vicinity of Bilohorivka, Luhansk oblast; Nove, Terny, Spirne, Vyymka, Vesele in Donetsk oblast. Artillery and mortar shelling affected more than 10 localities, including Nevske and Bilohorivka in Luhansk oblast and Hryhorivka, Verkhnekamianske, Vyymka, and Fedorivka in Donetsk oblast.

Towards Bakhmut, the enemy tried unsuccessfully to regain the lost ground near Andriivka, Donetsk region. He carried out air strikes near the settlements of Klishchiyivka, Andriivka and Kostyantynivka in Donetsk oblast. More than 20 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire, including Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Bohdanivka, Ivanivske, Kurdyumivka, Pivnichne and Nyzhyk in Donetsk oblast.

Towards Avdiivka, Ukrainian defenders successfully repelled enemy attacks in the areas of Stepove, Avdiivka and Vesele in Donetsk oblast. The enemy conducted an air strike near Avdiivka, Donetsk oblast. More than 10 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire, including Novoselivka, Stepove, Orlivka, Sievierne, Pervomaiske, Nevelske in Donetsk oblast.

Towards Marinka, Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled eight attacks in the vicinity of Marinka and Novomykhailivka in Donetsk oblast. The enemy conducted an air strike near Novomykhailivka, Donetsk oblast. About 10 settlements were under the fire of the occupiers, including Krasnohryvka, Marinka, Pobeda, Paraskoviivka, Antonivka, Katerynivka in Donetsk oblast.

Towards Shakhtarsk, the enemy did not conduct any offensive (assault) actions. The occupants conducted air strikes near the settlements of Zolota Nyva and Staromaiorske in Donetsk oblast. More than 10 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire, including Vuhledar, Prechystivka, Novoukrainka, Novodonetske, Blahodatne, and Urozhayne in Donetsk oblast.

Towards Zaporizhzhia, the Ukrainian Defense Forces successfully repelled enemy attacks near Novodarivka, Zaporizhzhia oblast. The occupiers conducted an air strike near the village of Mala Tokmachka, Zaporizhzhia oblast. More than 30 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire, including Mala Tokmachka, Orikhiv, Novoandriivka, and Novopavlivka in Zaporizhzhia oblast.

Towards Kherson, the enemy conducted airstrikes near the towns of Beryslav, Kozotske, Olhivka and Vysoke in Kherson oblast. More than 15 settlements came under enemy artillery and mortar fire, including Stanislav in Kherson oblast, the city of Kherson and Solonchaky in Mykolaiv oblast.

Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to conduct offensive operations towards Melitopol and offensive (assault) operations towards Bakhmut, inflicting losses in manpower and equipment on the occupation forces, and exhausting the enemy along the entire front line. 

Ukrainian aviation of the Defense Forces carried out 13 strikes on buildups of enemy personnel, weapons and military equipment.

Rocket troops destroyed an anti-aircraft missile system, a command center, an ammunition depot and 16 enemy artillery units.


The Southern Defense Forces inform that 300 Shahed attack drones were shot down in September in southern Ukraine. Air defense manages to shoot down 70-80% of targets, forcing Russia to adjust its tactics. 

Dmytro Lubinets, Commissioner for Human Rights in the Verkhovna Rada, says that since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, russia has destroyed more than 220 Ukrainian libraries. About 400 libraries were damaged and nearly 200 million copies of the book stock destroyed.

Recent war events in the east of Ukraine

Kharkiv oblast

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, russian troops launched strikes near Hatyshche, Zemlianky and Ivanivka. More than ten settlements were under mortar and artillery attacks.

Illia Yevlash, Head to the press service of the Eastern Group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the number of the 25th Army of the russian federation has increased towards Lyman-Kupiansk and is now fully staffed. According to him, there used to be 12K soldiers but now there are more than 17K. Also russian troops launched 13 airstrikes yesterday but there were no assault operations in this area.

In September, it became known that 45 Ukrainian defenders from Kharkiv oblast were killed. The deaths were officially reported by communities and universities.

The press service of the Prosecutor’s Office reported that the russian army shelled Borova, Izium region, in the morning of 1 October. The territory of an agricultural enterprise, residential buildings and outbuildings were damaged. Kharkiv police informed that private buildings were also damaged as a result of the shelling of Pidlyman.

Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office added that a 63-year-old resident of Vovchansk was killed as a result of artillery shelling of the city’s central square at around 11 am.

Oleh Syniehubov, Head of Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, reported that the enemy launched a missile attack on Kharkiv last night around 1 am. Three missiles, preliminarily S-300, hit a civilian enterprise and a fire broke out.

During the day, the enemy attacked settlements of Kharkiv, Bohodukhiv, Chuhuiv, Kupiansk and Izium regions with artillery, mortars and other weapons.

As a result of artillery shelling of Kozacha Lopan village, Kharkiv region, 2 outbuildings, a fence and a barn were damaged and a fire started.

In Basove village, Bohodukhiv region, a private building and outbuildings were damaged by shelling.

In Kindrashivka and Hlushkivka, Kupiansk region, dry grass in a field was burning due to shelling.

A 52 year old resident stepped on a Butterfly anti-personnel mine in the forest near Oskil village, Izium region, at around 11:15 am. He was hospitalised with a moderate injury.

Mine clearance is ongoing. Yesterday pyrotechnics of the State Emergency Service examined more than 2.7 hectares of territory and defused 61 explosive ordnance.

Donetsk oblast

Illia Yevlash, Head of the press service of the Eastern Group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, reported that russian invaders deployed the 25th Army in the east to replace the defeated groups. They are also trying to use aviation to compensate significant losses in artillery they suffered towards Lyman-Kupkansk.

Mariupol City Council stated that russian troops destroyed Towards Happiness, the last Ukrainian mural, remaining in Mariupol.

Kostiantynivka was shelled at around 1:45 pm, with no reports of casualties. According to Oleksii Roslov, Head of Kostiantynivka City Military Administration, Metalurh district was hit.

Anastasiia Miedviedieva, Spokeswoman of Donetsk Regional Prosecutor’s Office, said that in the morning russian troops shelled Nove village of Lyman community, injuring a 49-year-old man and hospitalising him.

Oleksandr Zhuravlov, Head of Lyman City Military Administration, stated that in the liberated city a year ago, the inspection of houses destroyed by shelling continues. More than 85% of the buildings are damaged and 17 out of 286 apartment buildings beyond repair.

Donetsk police confirmed that on 30 September, the russian army shelled 19 towns and villages in Donetsk oblast, damaging more than 70 civilian objects. Two children, aged 13 and 17, were among the injured.

Towards Volnovakha, one person was injured in Novoukrainka of Vuhledar community. Prechystivka, Bohoiavlenka and Vuhledar were under attack.

Towards Donetsk, 1 person was injured in Lastochkyne and a school damaged in Novoselivka Persha of Ocheretyne community. In the morning there was a massive shelling of Avdiivka. Veselyi Hai, Hanivka, Kostiantynopilske, Dachne and Dalne of Kurakhove community were targeted, with no casualties.

Towards Horlivka, Druzhkivka community was shelled three times, damaging 15 private buildings in Kindrativka and 2 apartment buildings in Oleksiievo-Druzhkivka. In Toretsk, 3 apartment buildings and 1 private building in Petrivka were damaged. In Kostiantynivka, an aerial bomb damaged 18 buildings, an enterprise and a power line.

Towards Lysychansk, 2 infrastructure facilities in Siversk and 2 buildings in Zvanivka were damaged. In the morning, two shells hit a building in Lyman, there is information about the dead and injured, the exact details are being established.

Ihor Moroz, Acting Head of Donetsk Regional Military Administration, reported that yesterday russians injured three civilians: in Kostiantynivka, Lastochkyne and Novoukrainka

Luhansk oblast

According to Artem Lysohor, Head of Luhansk Regional Military Administration, russian planes and helicopters shelled Novoselivske, Nevske, Novoliubivka, Bilohorivka, almost along the entire frontline. They have a sufficient number of aircraft but the same cannot be said about the quality of personnel training. They are now prematurely adding reserves that they planned to deploy in Luhansk oblast in winter. However, our defenders have made adjustments to the enemy’s plans.

Based on the information provided by Luhansk RMA, in addition, the autumn conscription has started in russia and the temporarily occupied territories. The invaders carefully collected data on school leavers in the spring of this year and last year. Information about those, who had reached the age of majority, was updated during the so-called “first elections” in September. However, the russian Ministry of Defence says that there is nothing to fear: after the service, “conscripts are promised to return home”.

Starting in 2024, the invaders plan to treat residents, who do not have health insurance, as foreign citizens in the hospitals of the so-called lpr. This means that they will be unable to receive any medical services, except for emergency care. This policy can be obtained only if you have a russian passport.

What is happening now in the north of Ukraine

Kyiv oblast

Denys Shmyhal, Prime Minister of Ukraine, reported that Josep Borrell, Head of European diplomacy, arrived in Kyiv. He met with President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba, took part in the commemoration of the fallen defenders and expressed support for those who are now defending Ukraine from russian aggression and fighting for common European values.

According to Kyiv Regional Military Administration, Kyiv oblast has joined a nationwide minute of silence in memory of the fallen. The event was held at the Memorial to the Defenders in Bucha Community. Also, a minute of silence was observed in memory of the fallen soldiers on Independence Square.

According to the Joint Forces Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, on the occasion of the Day of Defenders of Ukraine, the Day of the Ukrainian Cossacks and the Feast of the Intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Garrison Church of St Nicholas was opened in Kyiv, where the Divine Liturgy was held for the first time.

The Centre for Military History Research of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, with the support of the Ukrainian Institute of National Remembrance, announces the exhibition project “Under the Protection of the Theotokos”, dedicated to the Day of Defenders of Ukraine.

The Ministry of Culture and Information Policy reported that an exhibition featuring personal stories of the defenders of Bakhmut in Donetsk oblast has opened at the National Museum of the History of Ukraine about the Second World War.

The exhibition of photographs “In Steel Thunderstorms” is being held at the Kyiv Museum. It was introduced by servicemen of the 3rd separate assault brigade. 

An exhibition of unique military equipment was held at the Exhibition Centre. It was arranged by the NGO Sprava Hromadas, providing military vehicles, including armoured vehicles, to soldiers on the frontline.

Zhytomyr oblast

On the National Day of Defenders of Ukraine, traffic in Zhytomyr was stopped for a minute at 9 a.m. in memory of the fallen defenders of Ukraine.

Zhytomyr City Council reported that on September 30, a memorial event dedicated to the 85th anniversary of the ‘Polish’ operation by NKVD in 1937-1938 took place in Zhytomyr. Residents of the city paid tribute to the victims, among whom were Ukrainians, Poles, Germans, Jews, Russians, Czechs, Belarusians, Latvians, Roma, and Lithuanians.

Sumy oblast

According to the ‘North’ Operational Command, the russian army attacked Druzhba town in Shostka region, Sumy oblast. As a result of the attack a female local resident was wounded and several buildings caught fire.

According to the Regional Military Administration, at night and in the morning, the russians fired 3 times at settlements and border areas of Sumy oblast. There were 10 explosions recorded. Seredyno-Buda community was under attack resulting 5 explosions. The enemy applied barrel artillery fire artillery. The russians shelled Krasnopillia community with mortars. There were 5 explosions.

Over the last 24 hours, the russians opened fire 15 times on the border areas and settlements of Sumy oblast. There were 75 explosions recorded. Velyka Pysarivka, Bilopillia, Krasnopillia, Seredyno-Buda, Esman, Druzhba, Shalyhine communities were shelled. The enemy opened fire with mortars, tanks, self-propelled artillery, and also fired 4 mortar bombs.

A religious service was held in Sumy for the fallen Ukrainian defenders and for the health of the soldiers who are now defending the borders of Ukraine. Memorial services were held on this day at the burial places of the Heroes who died in the fight against russian aggression and at the Church of St Andrew the First-Called.

Chernihiv oblast

According to the RMA, the russians launched 6 attacks on Chernihiv oblast, resulting in 51 explosions. The enemy opened fire from mortars and artillery at Novhorod-Siversk and Koryukivka regions. Also, unguided aircraft missiles were launched. A 16-year-old local resident was wounded as a result of artillery shelling in Semenivka community. The casualty was taken to the regional hospital.

The Alley of Heroes was opened in Sosnytsia to celebrate the National Day of Defenders of Ukraine. Andrii Portnyi, head of the village, said that the banners with images and information about 39 soldiers who have died since 2014 were installed there. 

Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine

Dnipropetrovsk oblast

Mykola Lukashuk, Head of the Regional Council, informed that at night, the enemy attacked Dnipropetrovsk oblast with attack UAVs. In the morning the military shot down an enemy drone over Kryvyi Rih. The attack resulted in a fire and destruction. The invaders also attacked Velykomykhailivka community, Synelnykove region. A power line and a gas pipeline were damaged. Nikopol was also shelled with artillery. A country house was destroyed. Another country house, 2 residential buildings, an outbuilding and a power line were damaged. Marhanets community was shelled with artillery and attacked with a kamikaze drone.

Mykola Lukashuk added that on the occasion of the Day of Defenders and Intercession of the Theotokos, 30 ambulances were given from Dnipropetrovsk oblast to our military. Military units of the Armed Forces, the National Guard and border guards received the keys to the vehicles.

Vinnytsia oblast

​​ Serhii Morhunov, Vinnytsia Mayor, reported that a batch of Shchedryk reconnaissance drones was delivered to the defenders of Ukraine from Vinnytsia oblast on the Day of Defenders of Ukraine. The Interregional Humanitarian Coordination Centre provided the assistance. The drone will be used for aerial reconnaissance and will transmit data on enemy and equipment movements in real time.

Kirovohrad oblast

An alley in memory of the soldiers, killed defending Ukraine, was created in downtown Novhorodka settlement. It features 58 portraits of the defenders.

Poltava oblast

Olena Romas, Director of the city’s Department of Culture, said that viburnum bushes were planted in the Peremoha city park on October 1. The event was organised to celebrate the Day of Defenders of Ukraine. The viburnum alley was laid and the first 20 bushes planted as a symbol of memory of the fallen soldiers. Several dozen citizens joined the event.

Cherkasy oblast

Ihor Taburets, Head of Cherkasy Regional Military Administration, reported that the enemy massively attacked Cherkasy oblast with drones at night. There were hits to industrial infrastructure in Uman. As a result, fires broke out in warehouses, specifically, where grain was stored. Preliminary, one person was injured. He was taken to hospital. The aftermath is currently being eliminated. All relevant services are working at the scene.

Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine

Zaporizhzhia oblast

There were 157 shelling attacks in 27 settlements, namely in Zaliznychne, Bilohoria, Levadne, Poltavka, Olhivske, Temyrivka, Preobrazhenka, Piatikhatki, Plavni and other towns and villages along the frontline.

Zaporizhzhya military administration reports that a fire broke out at an infrastructure facility in Zaporizhzhia as a result of a nighttime missile strike, with one casualty reported. Six residents of Matviivka territorial community were injured. A local resident was killed and a woman injured during the shelling of Mala Tokmachka.

The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces informs that towards Zaporizhzhia, russians unsuccessfully tried to regain their lost position near Novodarivka and improve the tactical situation in the area west of Verbove.

According to the State Emergency Service, 9 fires occurred in Zaporizhzhia yesterday as a result of the russian shelling. 

Mykolaiv oblast

Mykolaiv Regional Military AdministrationIn Mykolaiv oblast, on the night of 30 September, the russian military launched artillery strikes on the waters of Ochakiv community. In addition, in the village of Snihurivka community, a hit damaged warehouse buildings of a private enterprise and caused a fire, which was promptly extinguished. No injuries. 

On the occasion of the Day of Defenders of Ukraine and the Holy Intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, a prayer service was held at Mykolaiv Cathedral of the Kasperovskaya Icon of the Mother of God for the defenders of Ukraine who are in russian captivity. 

Odesa oblast

The South Air Command reports that on the night of 1 October, over Odesa region 10 Shahed-136/131 attack UAVs were destroyed, while another 5 shot down by other units of the Southern Ukrainian Defence Forces.

A memorial to the Ukrainian Navy soldiers who gave their lives defending Ukraine was unveiled in Odesa’s Victory Park. The opening ceremony was attended by the commander of the Ukrainian Navy, Vice Admiral Oleksii Neizhpapa, other military commanders from southern Ukraine, the head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration Oleh Kiper, Odesa Mayor Gennadiy Trukhanov and other local authorities. The memorial sign was blessed by military chaplain Vasyl Virozub, who spent several months in Russian captivity at the beginning of the Great War. Officials laid flowers, accompanied by the Ukrainian Navy band. A similar ceremony took place in a park near the Odesa Regional State Administration. The Gardens of Memory memorial complex dedicated to fallen Ukrainian soldiers was opened there.

Oleksandr Kubrakov, Minister of Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Development, says that bulk carriers AZARA, YING HAO 01, ENEIDA flying the flags of Liberia and Palau left the ports of Greater Odesa. They are exporting more than 127,000 tonnes of Ukrainian agricultural products and iron ore. Five more vessels are heading to Odesa ports for loading. These are the bulk carriers OLGA, IDA, DANNY BOY, FORZA DORIA, and NEW LEGACY. They export almost 120 tonnes of grain to Africa and Europe. 

Kherson oblast

At about 16:50, the occupiers dropped two guided aerial bombs on a residential area of Beryslav. The strike destroyed garages, shattered windows in medical and residential buildings, and damaged critical infrastructure.

Tiahynka also came under enemy fire. A man born in 1980 sustained fatal injuries in the yard of his house.

The occupiers attacked Vesele. A 63-year-old woman was taken to hospital with injuries to her limbs and concussion.

At around 13:30, the russian military dropped explosives from a UAV on residential buildings in Kherson. The attack caused a fire in Dniprovskyi district. Information about the victims is being clarified.

At around 04:00, the russian army struck Stanislav in Kherson oblast.  Eight hits resulted in 3 private houses damaged and fires, which were extinguished by rescuers. The shells also tore down power lines. Two men were wounded. 

Over the course of the day, the Defence Forces eliminated 26 russian soldiers on the left bank of Kherson oblast. They destroyed four tanks, a Grad multiple rocket launcher system, four cannons, a Merlin reconnaissance drone, a Murom-M video surveillance system, six armoured vehicles and three russian army boats.

Russian troops shelled Kherson oblast 102 times on 30 September, hitting residential areas, a building of an educational institution, a stadium, the territory of a factory and a garage cooperative, a shop, a critical infrastructure facility in Kherson region, and five social facilities in Beryslav region.  One person was injured.

Kherson regional military administration does not yet see the feasibility of rebuilding some completely destroyed villages in the region. The few remaining residents are offered to relocate.

In Kherson, near the restored memorial in honour of the Kherson battalion, residents paid tribute to the fallen defenders of Ukraine. They joined the nationwide minute of silence and laid flowers.

Latest news for today in the western regions of Ukraine

Volyn oblast

2 life safety classrooms were opened in Kovel region. Currently 57 classes are operating in Volyn oblast with 92 planned to be opened in future.

Humanitarian aid was delivered to the military from Lutsk. The 68th brigade received 4 pieces of Mavic 3T, 3E; Matrix 30T; the 43th brigade – 8kW diesel generator and Lenovo laptop; 100th brigade – 9 Mavic 3, 3E, 3 Starlink, 3 8kW generators, 2 Ecoflow, antenna amplifiers and extension cables, 15 FPV drones, 5 tablet PCs;the 67th brigade – Mercedes ML SUV; the 4th brigade of operational assignment – Nissan X-Trail car; the 42th brigade – 3 Mavic 3T, E; Starlink.

Zakarpattia oblast

Mariana Marusynets, Head of the Department of Education and Science, Youth and Sports of Zakarpattia Regional Government, announced that local educational institutions are equipped with shelters for 97%. She also noted that UAH 17,5 mln was allocated for these needs in 13 territorial communities of the oblast.

Ivano-Frankivsk oblast

As part of the Ivano-Frankivsk – City of Heroes program, an annotation board was installed in the community to Pavlo Pidluzhny, fallen Frankivsk citizen. The 47-year-old fighter of the 102nd Territorial Defense Battalion was killed on May 7, 2023 in Donetsk oblast.

Lviv oblast

A meeting with Patrick Burt, former mayor of Palo Alto from Silicon Valley (US), was held in Lviv within the project, From Lviv to Palo Alto: How to Develop a Technological Oasis in the City panel, which took place at the IT Arena.

The All-Ukrainian Veterans’ Forum Circle of Military Brothers began in Lviv oblast. Over 100 participants from 7 oblasts of Ukraine take part in the event.

Defenders, who are being treated at the Unbroken National Rehabilitation Center, joined the Day of Health for Victory campaign, which took place in Lviv. A Terrencourt training course was available and the benefits of Nordic walking were presented.

Rivne oblast

A delegation from the Voivodeship Specialized Hospital (Biała Podlaska, Poland) came to Rivne to sign a partnership agreement aimed at improving access to specialized medicine in the field of cardiovascular diseases for residents of Lublin Voivodeship and Rivne oblast grant project. Its estimated cost is about EUR 2,7 mln.

The Rehabilitation Center was opened at Rivne Regional Clinical Hospital named after Yurii Semeniuk. It targets military personnel after injuries and wounds as well as civilians.

Ternopil oblast

A memorial plaque to Vitalii Stadnyk was unveiled on the facade of the regional prosecutor’s office in Ternopil where the defender of Ukraine worked for over 17 years. In the first days of the full-scale invasion, he volunteered to go to the front. October 1 marks exactly one year since the defender died defending Ukraine.

Khmelnytskyi oblast

Oleksandr Simchyshyn, Mayor of Khmelnytskyi, announced that 128 family members of local residents who died in the line of duty were awarded the Khmelnytskyi City Honorary Citizen Award.

Chernivtsi oblast

International support of Ukraine in the russian-Ukrainian war (russia’s invasion of Ukraine)

The UN will allocate $123 mln for winter aid to war-affected  Ukrainians. It is planned that 450K people will receive financial assistance for their winter energy needs. An additional 15 750 people will be provided with housing and means of heating. This includes rent payments for 1 350 IDP families currently living in hostels. The assistance will also include simple insulation kits for 3K families and 938 solid fuel heaters for rural houses.

Ihor Klymenko, Minister of Internal Affairs, announced that by the end of 2023, Ukraine will receive 30 mechanized demining machines from international partners. The foundation of Howard Buffett, American businessman and philanthropist, has so far provided Ukraine with 8 mechanized demining machines, and several more are expected soon. In addition, Switzerland and Japan actively help Ukraine in the field of demining.

The Czech Republic will provide Ukraine with a licence for the production of CZ BREN 2 assault rifles. The Czechs will also help the Ukrainians to establish the production of ammunition. This project will be implemented by Sellier & Bellot.

The International Monetary Fund team has arrived in Kyiv to meet with representatives of Ukrainian authorities and other key partners.

Daniel Blazhkovec, Minister of Defense of the Czech Republic, took part in the Ukrainian Forum of Defense Industries. He emphasized that the Czech Republic’s support for Ukraine will continue until the final victory of Ukraine.

The Romanian Football Federation has announced its refusal to play against russian youth  teams in international competitions. Earlier, football federations of England, Ukraine, Poland, Latvia, Lithuania, Sweden, Denmark and Norway announced their refusal to play against the russians as well. On September 28, the Union of European Football Associations announced that youth teams from russia under the age of 18 will be admitted to European competitions.
