It has been the 586th day of the Ukrainian resistance to the russian military aggression. 

What happened in Ukraine today:

Here is operational information of the General Staff as of 6 pm:   

There were 22 combat engagements. Moreover, the russian federation launched yet another attack on Ukraine using 7 Shahed-136/131 strike UAVs from the southeast. The Ukrainian air defense forces intercepted 4 enemy Shaheds. The enemy launched a total of 5 missiles and 39 air strikes, 20 MLRS attacks at the positions of Ukrainian troops and various settlements. The russian terrorist attacks have killed and wounded civilians. Private residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure were destroyed or damaged.

The operational situation in the east and south of Ukraine remains difficult.

Towards Volyn and Polissia, there were no significant changes and no signs of formation of an offensive group. Certain units of the armed forces of belarus continue their missions in the areas bordering Ukraine.

Towards Siversk and Sloboda, the enemy  maintains its military presence in the areas of russia bordering Ukraine. The enemy continues to shell Ukrainian settlements from the territory of russia and increases the density of minefields along the state border of Ukraine. The invaders launched an air strike in the vicinity of the settlement of Stepok (Sumy oblast). The enemy fired artillery and mortars at more than 25 settlements, including Karpovychi, Hremyachka (Chernihiv oblast), Holyshivske, Turya, Mykhailivske, Pokrovka, Popivka, and Ponomarenky (Sumy oblast), and Krasne Pershe (Kharkiv oblast). 

Towards Kupiansk, the enemy launched air strikes near Ivanivka and Cherneshchyna (Kharkiv oblast). The invaders fired from artillery and mortars at more than 10 settlements, including Dvorichna, Synkivka, Kupiansk, Ivanivka, Kyslivka, and Berestove (Kharkiv oblast).

Towards Lyman, the Ukrainian defense forces repelled enemy attacks in the vicinity of Makiivka (Luhansk oblast). The enemy  launched air strikes in the vicinity of settlements of Zarichne, Spirne, and Lyman (Donetsk oblast). Makiivka, Nevske, Bilohorivka (Luhansk oblast), Novosadove, Torske, Verkhniokamyanske, Spirne, and Rozdolivka (Donetsk oblast) were shelled with artillery and mortar. 

Towards Bakhmut, the enemy made unsuccessful attempts to regain the lost ground in the vicinity of Andriivka (Donetsk oblast). The invaders launched air strikes near Klischiivka and Oleksandro-Shultyne (Donetsk oblast). More than 20 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire, including Minkivka, Hryhorivka, Kostyantynivka, Bila Hora, Dyliyivka, and Toretsk (Donetsk oblast). 

Towards Avdiivka, the enemy made unsuccessful attempts to regain the lost position in the area east of Stepove (Donetsk oblast). The invaders fired from artillery and mortars at more than 10 settlements, including Stepove, Tonenke, Avdiyivka, Sjeverne, Pervomaiske, and Nevelske (Donetsk oblast).

Towards Mariinka, during the day of October 1, Ukrainian defense forces successfully repelled 6 attacks in the vicinity of Mariinka (Donetsk oblast). Also, the Ukrainian defenders repelled enemy attacks in the vicinity of Novomykhailivka (Donetsk oblast). They launched air strikes near the settlements Maryinka, Novomykhailivka, and Paraskoviyivka (Donetsk oblast). About 10 settlements, including Oleksandropil, Krasnohorivka, Maryinka, Pobieda, Novomykhailivka, and Bohoyavlenka (Donetsk oblast), were under the occupiers’  fire. 

Towards Shakhtarsk, the Ukrainian defenders repelled enemy attacks near Staromaiorske and Rivnopil (Donetsk oblast). The occupiers launched air strikes in the vicinity of settlements of Urozhaine, Staromaiorske, and Novodarivka (Donetsk oblast). More than 10 settlements including Vuhledar, Prechystivka, Urozhaine, Staromaiorske, Rivnopil, and Novopil (Donetsk oblast), came under artillery and mortar fire.

Towards Zaporizhzhia, the Ukrainian defenders successfully repelled enemy attacks in the area west of Verbove (Zaporizhzhia oblast). The occupiers launched an air strike near Mala Tokmachka (Zaporizhzhia oblast). More than 25 settlements, including Levadne, Malynivka, Hulyaipole, Mala Tokmachka, Orikhiv, and Pyatykhatky (Zaporizhzhia oblast), came under enemy artillery and mortar fire.

Towards Kherson, the enemy launched an air strike in the vicinity of Mykolaivka (Kherson oblast$. The enemy fired artillery and mortars at more than 15 settlements, including Respublikanets, Vesele, Tyahynka, Antonivka, Veletenske (Kherson oblast), and the city of Kherson.

At the same time, the Ukrainian defense forces continue their offensive operation towards Melitopol and offensive (assault) operations towards Bakhmut, inflicting losses in manpower and equipment on the occupation forces, exhausting the enemy all along the front line.

The Ukrainian Air Forces launched 11 air strikes on the buildup of troops, weapons, and military equipment and 1 air strike on the anti-aircraft missile system.

During the day of October 1, the Ukrainian missile troops hit 2 buildups of troops, weapons, and military equipment, 1 command post, and 2 artillery systems.


The President of Ukraine awarded the title of Hero of Ukraine to another 35 defenders. The title “Hero of Ukraine” was awarded to 35 servicemen, including 31 posthumously, and 141 servicemen were awarded state awards, including 63 posthumously.

September became a record for the launch of “shaheds”. Russia plans to increase their production. According to the estimates of the Defense Express military portal, the enemy used a total of 503 kamikaze drones, and the air defense forces shot down 396 units.

Recent war events in the east of Ukraine

Kharkiv oblast

Oleh Syniehubov, Head of Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, said that the invaders launched at least 5 strikes, preliminary with S-300 missiles, outside Kharkiv in the morning. Specialised services are working at the sites of the hits.

The press service of Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office reported that also russian troops attacked Kupiansk twice, preliminary with guided bombs. The first strike damaged at least 7 residential buildings and destroyed civilian cars. The State Emergency Service units are eliminating the aftermath of the hits. Apartment buildings were damaged.  The second strike injured a 76-year-old man and a 57-year-old woman.

Viktor Kovalenko, Head of Zolochiv community, said that russian troops launched 18 artillery strikes on Huriv Kozachok on 2 October at 11 am. A private building was destroyed, three households and outbuildings were damaged. There were no casualties.

The enemy shelled Pidlyman village, Izium region, with multiple rocket launchers ar around 12:16 am last night. A 2-storey building, a summer kitchen, outbuildings were damaged and a fire started. There were no casualties. 

During the day, the enemy shelled settlements of Kharkiv, Chuhuiv, Kupiansk and Izium regions.

As a result of an attack on Borova village, Izium region, with a guided bomb and MRLs, the buildings of an agricultural enterprise and 4 private households were damaged, a large-scale fire broke out.

A civilian man was killed in Vovchansk, Chuhuiv region, as a result of hostile massive shelling. Private buildings and a civilian enterprise were damaged and fires broke out.

As a result of a high-explosive aerial bomb strike on Kupiansk-Vuzlovyi, Kupiansk region, a building and an outbuilding were damaged and fires occurred.

A Claas combine harvester tripped over a mine in a field near Donets and Blahodatne of Chuhuiv region while working in the field at around 3 pm. The driver of the combine received minor injuries and did not need hospitalisation.

Donetsk oblast

After the liberation of Andriivka and Klishchiivka near Bakhmut, heavy battles continue for the railway, along which russian troops have set up a defence line that is difficult to storm.

Ilia Yevlash, Head of the press service of the Eastern group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, said that a record number of russian air raids were recorded towards Lyman-Kupiansk.

Serhii Yehorov, Chief of the Intensive Care Department of a medical facility in Dnipro, reported that a 13-year-old boy from Kostiantynivka, who underwent surgery in Dnipro, has regained consciousness and is breathing on his own. The child was injured on 30 September when russians dropped a half-tonne KAB-500 bomb on the city.

Mariupol City Council informed that around the temporarily occupied Mariupol, russian forces have built concrete-reinforced firing points and kilometres of “underground” passages between them.

Donetsk Regional Military Administration stated that 187 out of 207 Invincibility Centres are operating in Donetsk oblast, most of them have Internet access, 73 are equipped with Starlink satellite systems.

Towards Donetsk, Avdiivka was shelled by tanks, Grad rocket launchers and air strikes, killing one person and damaging numerous buildings. Krasnohorivka of Marinka community was hit.

Towards Horlivka, russians dropped a guided bomb on Kostiantynivka, damaging two apartment blocks and two infrastructure facilities. In Illinivsk community, Oleksandro-Kalynove was hit by a missile attack, damaging an apartment building, 4 private buildings and 4 administrative buildings. 5 apartment blocks, 2 private buildings and an industrial building were damaged in Chasiv Yar community,. 3 buildings in Nykyforivka of Soledar community were damaged. A building, a non-residential building and 3 infrastructure facilities were damaged in Toretsk.

Towards Lysychansk, Lyman community was shelled 26 times: in Torske, 1 person was killed and 4 buildings damaged; in Nove, 1 person injured and 2 buildings damaged; in Lyman, 1 building destroyed and 2 damaged.

Ihor Moroz, Acting Head of Donetsk Regional Military Administration, said that yesterday russians killed 3 civilians in Neskuchne, Avdiivka and Torske. Another 5 people were injured in the region.

Luhansk oblast

The invaders shelled Novoliubivka and Nevske yesterday morning. A civilian was injured, who received first aid from the Ukrainian servicemen, after which the citizen was taken to a hospital by an emergency medical team. He was hospitalised with mine-blast trauma, shrapnel wounds to the chin and chest.

During the day, the invaders tried to make an offensive near Makiivka but were stopped by our Defence Forces.

Air strikes were launched on Bilohorivka. The enemy also shelled this settlement with artillery and mortars.

According to Luhansk Regional Military Administration, in most settlements of the so-called ‘Luhansk People’s Republic’, medical care for civilians is extremely limited as hospitals are occupied by injured russia servicemen and staff of polyclinics are engaged in work in hospitals. Therefore, the practice of providing relevant services in private medical centres is spreading. People have to go somewhere. However, medical care there is not cheap.

Artem Lysohor, Head of Luhansk Regional Military Administration, said that men from the occupied territories of Luhansk oblast are forcibly taken to war by russians, they are thrown into battle first. Even 17-year-olds are registered for military service. According to him, patrols go to shops, markets and streets, catching potential “soldiers” of russian federation.

What is happening now in the north of Ukraine

Kyiv oblast

A meeting of the Council of the European Union on Foreign Affairs will be held in Kyiv on October 2. Before the start of the meeting, the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign and Security Policy, Josep Borrell, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Dmytro Kuleba, gave a short briefing for the media. Josep Borrell said that the meeting is informal, as it is not being held in the EU. He described it as a “high-level political debate”, the purpose of which is to find ways to help Ukraine and counter russian aggression.

Kyiv RMA reported that 97 objects will be restored in the oblast at the expense of the Fund for the Liquidation of the Consequences of Armed Aggression. Work has already begun on a third of them.

The repair of the shelter was completed at the “Okhmadit” children’s hospital in Kyiv. The former warehouse in the basement was turned into a comfortable shelter for children. The repair was carried out by the military of the State Special Transport Service of the Ministry of Defense.

The construction of civil defense structures with the protective properties of anti-radiation shelter has begun in two lyceums of the city of Uzyn, Bila Tserkva region. Each shelter is designed for 500 people. In addition, more than 1,000 children of the community will have access to extracurricular education, as the work of groups, sections and clubs is organized on the basis of lyceums.

The Ministry of Health reported that the Kyiv City Blood Center needs all groups of blood. Blood needs are dynamic and change daily depending on circumstances. Those wishing to donate can register on the DonorUA platform and schedule donations.

Hostomel settlement military administration reported that 1,088 applications were received from residents of the community under the “eRestoration” program. A third of them have already received compensation for damaged property.

The “Teachers are important!” photo exhibition opened at the “Golden Gate” Kyiv metro station. As reported by the KCSA, the posters depict photos of teachers from different parts of Ukraine and their stories of wartime, collected as part of the Global Teacher Prize Ukraine of this and previous years.

The head of Brovary Ihor Sapozhko said that Germany handed over a bus for the Brovary community in Kyiv oblast. After processing all the documents and registration the transport will take the children to the Knyazhytsky Lyceum.

Zhytomyr oblast

The National Police of Zhytomyr oblast reported that the briefing on the competitive selection for the unified assault brigade of the National Police of Ukraine “Lyut” took place on the site of the official media center of Zhytomyr RMA. In particular, it was about the general requirements for candidates for the combined assault brigade “Lyut” and where to apply for admission.

Zhytomyr city council reported that 345 thousand hryvnias were collected at a charity auction in the city, which took place on September 29 in the regional museum of local history for the Day of Defenders of Ukraine. The money will be transferred to the Armed Forces for the purchase of kamikaze FPV drones.

Zhytomyr RMA reported that local entrepreneurs can join the contest for a grant of up to 20,000 euros, which provides funds for scaling up their own business. Preference during selection will be given to vulnerable categories of the population, namely: persons with disabilities, internally displaced persons, families of military personnel.

On October 1, the premiere of the literary performance “VIDSICH The way to victory.” The action was created from the works of the participants of the literary marathon of Ukraine/Zhytomyr oblast “russia’s war against Ukraine. VIDSICH-2023”.

Sumy oblast

Sumy RMA reported that the russians carried out 17 shelling of the border, a total of 86 explosions were recorded. The communities of Krasnopillia, Khotyn, Bilopillia, Velyka Pysarivka, Druzhbivka, Svesa, Seredina-Buda came under shelling. The enemy struck using mortars, MLRS, artillery, howitzers, and launched ATGM and unguided missiles.

The National Police of Sumy oblast reported that one civilian was injured due to russian shelling of the region on October 1. Also, 6 private houses, an administrative building, a two-story apartment building, a shop, a tractor and a motorcycle were damaged due to enemy strikes.

The State Emergency Service of Sumy oblast reported that over the past week, pyrotechnicians have discovered and destroyed 14 explosive objects in the territories of Sumy and Okhtyrka regions. The discovered arsenal includes shells, mortar mines, rocket-propelled artillery shells and hand grenades. A total of 590 cases of detection of explosive objects have been recorded in the oblast since the beginning of the year.

The exhibition “Art of small steps” from the collection of the private gallery “KUSUM” opened in Sumy oblast for the Day of Defenders of Ukraine. The exposition included art objects performed by leading Ukrainian artists which used safe fragments of ammunition from the russian-Ukrainian war.

Chernihiv oblast

During the past day, the russians shelled the border of Chernihiv oblast 4 times from their territory. As reported in the SBGS, 53 strikes from AGS and self-propelled guns were recorded in the direction of  the village Senkivka of the Horodnya community and 1 shot from barrel artillery in the direction of the village Karpovichi of the Semenivka community.

Head of Chernihiv RMA Vyacheslav Chaus announced that over the past week, the enemy shelled 17 border settlements of the oblast for 39 times. During this period, 468 explosions were recorded. The enemy launched two airstrikes using a helicopter. Civilian infrastructure was destroyed and damaged as a result of the russian strikes. A 16-year-old boy was wounded during the shelling of the Semenivka community, who is being treated at a regional health care facility.

Chernihiv RMA reported that during the past week, 16 people, including one child, left the border. All regions, together with communities, are working on creating temporary accommodation for evacuees.

Educational institutions in a number of communities of the oblast received 18 generators, which will ensure the continuity of the educational process in case of power outages. The assistance was provided as part of the joint project of the charity organization “Swedish Help Center”, the Swedish fund “Ukrainahjälpen Filippus”, Sweden Help East, Power Up Ukraine.

Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine

Dnipropetrovsk oblast

At night, the enemy attacked Dnipropetrovsk oblast with attack drones. Units of the East PMC shot down three enemy drones over the region.

According to the Regional Military Administration, in the evening, the Air Force shot down an enemy drone near Tsarychanky.

Serhii Lysak, Head of the region, met with people who joined the pilot project of the Ministry of Veterans. The RMA added that those who volunteered to become assistants to defenders are 21 pioneers. These people have passed all the selection stages and they have already begun to acquire the necessary knowledge at a special educational centre. They will learn the nuances of working with the Heroes who have returned from the very hell of war for three weeks. After the training, they will start performing tasks, each in their own community. They will help demobilised soldiers with employment and education. They will provide legal advice, help with healthcare, benefits and accommodation. The list of their tasks is very wide.

Vinnytsia oblast

​​ Vinnytsia received another humanitarian aid from its sister city Karlsruhe. It includes furniture for hospitals and schools, many other essentials for children and adults: clothes, toys, hygiene products and much more. In order to collect the two trucks of aid, themed fairs were organised in the German city, involving not only the indigenous population, but also Ukrainians, the local Jewish community and business representatives under the leadership of the German municipality.

Ten vehicles were repaired in a few months and sent to the frontline by residents of Yaryshivka village, Luka-Meleshkivska community. Mykhailo Buzin organised the locals around this cause. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, aid has been delivered to the defenders but they needed any cars they could get. That’s why old cars are repaired and sent to the brigades where Vinnytsia soldiers serve. Money for them is raised among relatives, friends and locals.

Kirovohrad oblast

Andrii Raikovych, Head of the Regional Military Administration, said that 15 shelters in educational institutions of 13 communities are being repaired at the expense of a state budget subvention. This is more than UAH 31 million which needs to be spent on the facilities by the end of this year. Both the Office of the President and the Ministry of Education control the progress of preparation and construction work. That is why the heads of regional military administrations, mayors, community heads and representatives of relevant departments were invited to the meeting. Each position was analysed in detail. The departments of capital construction and education and heads of territories will report on the current repairs weekly.

Poltava oblast

Dmytro Lunin, Head of the RMA, informed that in Kremenchuk, the inspection of facilities and structures that were destroyed or damaged after the shelling by russian forces on 22 September is almost complete. Approximately 95% have been examined so far. Residents will be assisted in replacing broken windows in their apartments and repairing damaged roofs. For this purpose, Kremenchuk City Council allocated UAH 1.5 million for the programme at its session on 29 September. Of this amount, UAH 1 million 135 thousand has already been allocated because people applied two, three, four days after the hit. Mostly, it was an post-concussion syndrome (concussion) that appeared on the second or third day. The number of casualties has increased. Payments are different: UAH 25 K was provided for those who were treated in hospital, UAH 10K for those who were treated as outpatients. Payments to the injured should also be provided from the regional budget. In addition, a charitable organisation is ready to help with the repair of damaged premises and the restoration of broken windows is ready to be financed.

Cherkasy oblast

Cherkasy oblast continues to support the 118th Territorial Brigade. Another request was closed at the expense of the regional budget: 10 Mavic thermal drones, 15 thermovision monoculars and 21 thermovision scopes. Everything will be sent to the frontline.

Ihor Taburets, Head of the Regional Military Administration, reported that a new tranche of logistical support for the soldiers is also being prepared.

Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine

Zaporizhzhia oblast

According to Zaporizhzhya Regional Military Administration, on  October 1, the russian military attacked 23 localities in Zaporizhzhia oblast 144 times: four air strikes on Orikhiv and Robotyno; three MLRS attacks on Mala Tokmachka and Novodarivka; thirteen times they used UAVs on Mala Tokmachka, Malynivka, Novodanilivka, Olhivske, Orikhiv and Mali Shcherbaki. Artillery attacked the territory of Gulyaypole, Zaliznychne, Charivne, Preobrazhenka, Bilohirya, Poltavka, Stepove, Pyatikhatky, Levadne, Kamianske and other towns and villages on the frontline 124 times. As a result of the shelling of Orikhiv, men aged 64 and 55 were injured. There have been 19 reports of the destruction of residential buildings and infrastructure. 

Zaporizhzhya Regional Military Administration reported that towards Tavriya, the occupiers carried out 2,000 fire missions over the past day. The russians lost 306 troops, and 7 more surrendered. The Ukrainian Armed Forces destroyed 18 pieces of equipment, including tanks, artillery systems, mortars, and vehicles. 

Ivan Fedorov, Mayor of Melitopol, reported that the russian military has set up dozens of mobile phone towers in the temporarily occupied Melitopol. This is being done for several reasons. First, the russians have failed to reconfigure the towers of some Ukrainian mobile operators. Secondly, the enemy is trying to listen to and monitor all conversations and all Internet traffic that takes place in the temporary occupation, thus trying to increase the information vacuum and more effectively detect resistance. 

On October 1, Heroes’ Alley was opened on Shevchenko Boulevard in Zaporizhzhia. It was dedicated to the citizens of Zaporizhzhia who died at the front. So far, nine prisms with images and information about the defenders have been installed. This work will continue in the future.

A project to collect russian-language books to be sent for recycling has been completed in Zaporizhzhia libraries. The initiative lasted for a year. 13 libraries in the city collected more than 4,000 kilograms of books. The funds will be used to purchase more than 150 new books. 

At one of the events, the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, Ihor Klymenko, met with Maxim Brovchenko, a 12-year-old artist from the temporarily occupied Berdiansk.  (Cosmo-Max). During the meeting, the boy presented him with his paintings. It is known that Igor Klymenko also brought a gift for the Berdiansk resident: chevrons of the Offensive Guard and handed over a gift fromOlena Zelenska, First Lady of Ukraine. The artist’s paintings were presented at the Zhovten cinema. The paintings are for sale. All proceeds will be used to help the Ukrainian military.

Mykolaiv oblast

Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration reported that on  October 1, the air defence forces of the  Air Command ‘South’ destroyed two russian Merlin-BP reconnaissance drones in Mykolaiv region. In addition, on  October 1, at 12:10 a.m., artillery shelling was recorded in the village of Kutsurub community. The shelling caused a fire. There were no casualties. 

Lars Løkke Rasmussen, Danish Foreign Minister on  October 2 at an informal meeting of EU foreign ministers. Announced that Denmark will open an embassy office in Mykolaiv, which will maintain a close dialogue with regional and local authorities on the reconstruction of the city and the region. A location for the office has already been found. A Danish diplomat has also been selected to head it. In the near future, Rasmussen will post vacancies for recruitment and officially open the office. 

Odesa oblast

Air Command ‘South’ said that on the night of 1 October, over Odesa oblast, the air defence forces of the Southern Air Command destroyed 10 Shahed-136/131 attack UAVs, while another 5 were shot down by other units of the Southern Defence Forces of Ukraine. 

On Sunday, October 1, a memorial to the fallen soldiers of the Ukrainian Navy was unveiled in Odesa’s Peremohy arboretum. On the same day, the Alley of Memory of the fallen soldiers who died on the frontlines of the russian-Ukrainian war was opened in Yuzhnyi. In total, 31 names of fallen heroes are engraved on the alley.

Antonio Tajani, Italian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation on  October 2 before the start of the EU Foreign Affairs Council’s offsite meeting in Kyiv, announced that Italy and Ukraine signed an agreement to reconstruct the Transfiguration Cathedral in Odesa, which was hit by a russian missile on July 23 2023. According to him, the best Italian architects will work on the restoration of the cathedral.

Kherson oblast

russian troops shelled Kherson during the night of 1 to 2 October and in the morning of 2 October. As a result of artillery shelling on 1 October at around 23:40, a private house caught fire. A 13-year-old girl was wounded, her mother received shrapnel wounds. Private and multi-apartment buildings, two educational institutions, a civilian infrastructure facility, and the premises of a company were damaged. 

Kherson Regional Military Administration reported that around 05:00 on  October 2, the russian army shelled the centre of Kherson. Houses, outbuildings, historical buildings and the Svyatodukhiv Cathedral were damaged. At 10:00, the occupier shelled Kherson again. They hit near a transport infrastructure facility. Four people were wounded, two of them were patrol policemen, one of them died in hospital.

According to Oleksandr Prokudin, Head of  Kherson Regional Military Administration, on  October 1, russian troops fired 71 times on the territory of the Kherson oblast.  They fired 392 shells from mortars, artillery, tanks, multiple launch rocket systems, anti-tank missile systems, aircraft and drones, including 20 in Kherson. The shells hit a factory and a tractor brigade in Kherson district, a shop, buildings of educational and medical institutions, and a critical infrastructure facility in Beryslav region. As a result of russian armed aggression, one person was killed and six, including two children, were injured. 

Kherson Regional Prosecutor’s Office reported that on  October 2, at around 15:00, near the village of Chkalove in the Velyka Oleksandrivka community of Kherson oblast, a tractor driver hit a russian mine while tilling the land. The explosive device detonated. The man died from his injuries. 

The press service of the Southern Ukrainian Defence Forces reported tgat towards Kherson Ukrainian Armed Forces eliminated fifteen russian occupants (two units) and two of their motor boats in the Dnipro River mouth yesterday. The Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed a Grad multiple rocket launcher system, five cannons, three vehicles, a Murom-M video surveillance system and four Orlan-10 and Merlin tactical reconnaissance aircraft. 

The National Resistance Centre said that the occupation authorities have delivered 2,000 textbooks for grades 1-4 and 10-11 to the occupied part of Kherson oblast. The vast majority of the literature relates to the history of russia. The textbooks include Ukrainian language textbooks, which present the Ukrainian language as a dialect of russian and emphasise the “brotherhood of nations”.

Volyn oblast

Representatives of Lutsk City Council visited the military in Zaporozhzhia oblast. They gave the soldiers cars purchased with the funds of city council employees and machinery and equipment purchased with the budget.

Zakarpattia oblast

In Uzhhorod, the Owl’s Nest humanitarian aid center this week issued aid to IDPs, namely 50 packages with necessary items for children under 2 years of age; 100 grocery sets; 50 hygiene kits; clothes, bed linen and dishes (a total of 1,8K units were issued) thanks to PDUM Partnerschaft Deutschland-Ukraine/Moldova e. V., Luftfahrt ohne Grenzen / Wings of Help eV.

Ivano-Frankivsk oblast

Every week, fighters from Ivano-Frankivsk community receive funds from the budget for equipment. This week, 140 combatants will receive UAH 20K each for a total of UAH 2,8 mln. And in general, since the beginning of the program, this assistance has been allocated to 2 383 fighters for a total amount of UAH 47,66 mln.

Ruslan Martsinkiv, mayor of Ivano-Frankivsk, announced that the city sent 2 quadcopters to a separate infantry battalion.

Lviv oblast

The RMA reported that sergeant Yevgenii Chechyn, paramedic and instructor of the medical center of military unit A7401, was awarded with the For Saved Life medal by decree of the President of Ukraine.

Another 13 children from Zaporizhzhia oblast were evacuated to Lviv due to hostilities in Ukraine. As of today, there are 286 children in 17 institutions of Lviv oblast (IDPs as part of organized groups of institutions).

Rivne oblast

The RMA reported that mobile brigades of the National Guard were given cars equipped with machine guns, searchlights, laser pointers, drones, tablets, equipment for tracking shaheed flights, generators and more.

The Rehabilitation Center opened in Rivne Regional Clinical Hospital. Soldiers and civilians will be treated here after injuries and wounds.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President of Ukraine, posthumously conferred the title of Hero of Ukraine with the Order of the Golden Star to Nazar Nebozhynskyi from Rivne.

Ternopil oblast

In Ternopil community, 11 more participants in the hostilities will receive monetary compensation for land plots in the amount of UAH 93 884 each. In total, 260 combatants received compensation for land from the budget of the city of Ternopil.

Khmelnytskyi oblast

Charity events in support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were held on the territory of the Khao NPP sports complex for the Day of Defenders of Ukraine. During the event, over UAH 45K were collected, which will be donated to the needs of the military.

Chernivtsi oblast

In Bukovina, a department for veterans’ policy has been established. This will make it possible to implement an effective system of transition from military service to civilian life.

Representatives of Chernivtsi City Council visited the military in Zaporozhzhia oblast. They gave the soldiers a truck, jeeps, drones with thermal imaging cameras, kamikaze drones, motorcycles with sidecars, as well as water bottles and water.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President of Ukraine, awarded the title of Hero of Ukraine and the Gold Star order to Bohdan Magalyas, medic of the 128th Mountain Assault Brigade.

An informal meeting of the ministers of the European Union on foreign affairs, which is the first in history outside the EU, has begun in Kyiv. Among topics on the agenda are the integration of Ukraine into the EU, the demonstration of support in the war against russia and further strengthening of sanctions against the russian federation.

“We are going to a historic meeting of EU foreign ministers here, in Ukraine, a candidate country and a future member of the EU,” said Josep Borrell, EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy.

Anton Zlatanov, Director of the Border Police of Bulgaria, announced that by the end of the day, Bulgaria will completely ban the entry of cars with russian license plates.

Andrii Yermak, Head of the President’s Office, reported that since September 30, Microsoft Corporation has stopped extending licenses to russian companies. This means that russian clients of the corporation will not be able to renew existing subscriptions to corporate services such as Microsoft 365.
