As of the beginning of the current day, a total of 203 combat engagements have taken place.

The enemy carried out one missile strike, launching 73 missiles, and conducted 46 airstrikes, dropping 155 guided aerial bombs. In addition, it deployed 5,985 kamikaze drones and carried out 2,157 shelling attacks on settlements and Ukrainian military positions.

On the North Slobozhanskyi and Kursk directions, one combat engagement occurred today. The enemy carried out 58 shelling attacks on settlements and Ukrainian military positions, two of which involved multiple launch rocket systems.

On the South Slobozhanskyi direction, the enemy launched three assaults on Ukrainian positions toward the settlements of Izbytske and Vilkha.

On the Kupiansk direction, the enemy attacked Ukrainian Defense Forces positions four times today in the areas of Kupiansk, Kupiansk-Vuzlovyi, and Kurylivka.

On the Lyman direction, Ukrainian troops repelled ten attempts by the enemy to advance toward the settlements of Drobysheve, Dibrava, and Lyman, as well as in the area of Zarichne. One engagement is still ongoing.

On the Sloviansk direction, the Defense Forces successfully stopped nine enemy attempts to advance in the area of Zakitne and toward Rai-Oleksandrivka and Kryva Luka. Two engagements are still ongoing.

On the Kramatorsk direction, the enemy did not conduct offensive actions.

On the Kostiantynivka direction, the Defense Forces repelled 11 enemy assaults near Kostiantynivka, Ivanopillia, Pleshchiivka, and Stepanivka, and toward Novopavlivka.

On the Pokrovsk direction, the enemy carried out 32 attacks, attempting to advance in the areas of Rodynske, Vasylivka, Novooleksandrivka, Hryshyne, and Udachne, as well as toward Steppe, Ivanivka, Serhiivka, and Dorizhne.

According to preliminary estimates, 29 occupiers were eliminated and 17 wounded on this axis today. One artillery system, one vehicle unit, one special-purpose vehicle, and a fuel and lubricants depot were destroyed. In addition, one tank, 11 vehicles, one special vehicle, five artillery systems, 80 personnel shelters, and an enemy UAV command post were damaged. A total of 248 unmanned aerial vehicles of various types were destroyed or suppressed.

On the Oleksandrivka direction, Ukrainian defenders stopped four enemy attacks in the area of Vorone and toward Kalynivske.

On the Huliaipole direction, 30 enemy assaults were recorded in the areas of Dobropillia, Zlahoda, Zaliznychne, Olenokostiantynivka, and Pryluky, as well as toward Vozdvyzhivka, Verkhnia Tersa, Huliaipolske, Charne, Tsvitkove, and Hirske. One engagement is still ongoing.

On the Orikhiv direction, the enemy carried out three assaults on Ukrainian positions in the area of Shcherbaky.

On the Prydniprovske direction, Ukrainian defenders successfully repelled two attacks toward the Antonivka Bridge.

No significant changes in the situation were recorded on other directions.

Recent war events in the east of Ukraine

Kharkiv oblast

Over the past day, 249 combat engagements were recorded on the frontline, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported.

On the South Slobozhanskyi direction, Russian forces launched 13 attacks on positions of the Defense Forces near Veterinarne, Starytsia, Prylipka, Lyman, Synelnykove, Vovchanski Khutory, and Zybynе.

On the Kupiansk direction, Ukrainian defenders stopped five attempts by the Russian army to advance near Kurylivka, Bohuslavka, and toward Kupiansk-Vuzlovyi.

On the night of June 2, Russian forces struck Kharkiv with 15 strike UAVs and two missiles, Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov reported. Hits were recorded in the Osnovianskyi, Slobidskyi, Nemyshlianskyi, and Kyivskyi districts. In total, 15 people were injured in the city: four men, 10 women, and an 11-year-old girl.

In the Slobidskyi district of Kharkiv, a man sustained severe injuries after approaching a downed drone that had fallen in an open area. Also, eight of the 14 injured during the night of June 2 are residents of a multi-storey building in this district: people suffered acute stress reactions and cuts from glass due to the blast wave.

In Kharkiv’s Osnovianskyi district, two people were injured as a result of a Russian strike: a 50-year-old woman and a 51-year-old man sustained blast-related injuries. Medics are providing them with assistance.

Russian UAVs also attacked the Kyivskyi, Saltivskyi, and Kholodnohirskyi districts of Kharkiv. In the Saltivskyi district, the fall of an enemy drone was recorded; no medical calls were reported. The consequences of the strike on the Kholodnohirskyi district are being clarified.

In the Kharkiv region, a Russian UAV struck a locomotive. A railway worker was injured and is receiving medical assistance. Train traffic in the region continues with minimal delays, as railway staff are working together with emergency services.

In Ruski Tyshky, within the Tsyrkuny community, two people were injured in a Russian attack: a 42-year-old man and a 40-year-old woman. According to the prosecutor’s office, a Russian FPV drone hit a vehicle.

On the highway near Polkova Mykytivka in the Bohodukhiv community, a 36-year-old man was injured. Two freight trucks were also damaged.

On the evening of June 1, the Russian army attacked an enterprise in the Vasyshcheve community with drones. A fire broke out, covering an area of 800 sq. m. While firefighters were working at the scene, the Russians carried out a second UAV strike on the roof of a warehouse. No people were injured. As a result of the attack, 22 private houses and a civilian enterprise were damaged.

During the day on June 1, Russian forces launched a missile strike on Merefa. A multi-storey residential building, a production workshop, five vehicles, and a private house were damaged. A fire also broke out in a coniferous ground cover over an area of 50 sq. m.

In Bohodukhiv, a Russian strike damaged an administrative building, a farming enterprise, and a private house.

In the Izium district, power lines were damaged in Ridne, and a utility structure in Barvinkove.

In the Kupiansk district, a vehicle was damaged in Shevchenkove as a result of an attack.

In the Kharkiv district, a milk tanker was damaged in Kutuzivka; a private house and a vehicle were damaged in Mykhailivka; a vehicle in Cherkaski Tyshky; a private house in Pokotylivka; and private houses, a multi-storey building, a production workshop, and a civilian enterprise were also damaged in other settlements of the district.

A 60-year-old man sustained blast injuries after an explosion of an unknown device in Sobolivka, Kindrashivka community. He suffered injuries to the face, chest, arms, and legs and was hospitalized in the regional hospital in Kharkiv.

Over the past day, Kharkiv and 18 settlements in the region came under Russian fire, the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration reported. 18 people were injured, including a child. Russian forces attacked the Nemyshlianskyi, Osnovianskyi, Slobidskyi, and Kyivskyi districts of Kharkiv.

During the day, the Russian army used six missiles, 36 “Geran-2” UAVs, seven “Molniya” UAVs, one FPV drone, and five unidentified drones against the Kharkiv region.

In Kharkiv, two multi-storey buildings, a private house, three civilian enterprises, an administrative and an office building, a preschool institution, a gas station, and four vehicles were damaged. In the region, an administrative building, a farming enterprise, private and multi-storey buildings, power lines, utility structures, vehicles, a production workshop, a milk tanker, and a civilian enterprise were damaged.

The transit evacuation point in Lozova received 177 people over the past day. Since the center began operating, 37,313 people have been registered there.

Donetsk oblast

On the Kramatorsk direction, in the sector defended by the 56th Separate Motorized Infantry Mariupol Brigade, units of the Russian army composed of so-called volunteers are fighting against Ukrainian forces, said brigade spokesperson Olha Kosenko. According to Ukrainian intelligence, despite the objective of capturing Kramatorsk, Russian units themselves report to their command a lack of manpower to accomplish this task.

Ukrainian drones struck Russian radar stations on the Azov Sea coast, as well as locations of equipment and personnel, the Unmanned Systems Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported.

On June 1 and during the night of June 2, the Defense Forces carried out strikes on Russian warehouses and troop positions in the Donetsk region, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported. In particular, a UAV storage facility belonging to a Russian unit in Shakhtarske was hit, as well as areas of troop concentration in Shyrokyne, Berestok, and Komar.

In Kramatorsk, Russian forces are deliberately targeting municipal utilities in order to worsen the humanitarian situation in the city, the Kramatorsk City Military Administration reported.

In Druzhkivka, police paramedics rescued a seriously wounded man from under the rubble after a strike involving three FAB-250 guided bombs on the city center on June 1. Police paramedics were among the first responders: they extricated the man, provided first aid, and evacuated him to hospital despite ongoing nearby explosions.

At around 04:28 on June 2, Russian forces attacked Kramatorsk. A private house was damaged; no casualties were reported.

On June 1, Russian forces carried out 290 strikes along the frontline and in residential areas of the Donetsk region. Seven settlements were under fire: Bilozerske, Druzhkivka, Kramatorsk, Mykolaivka, Sloviansk, Oleksiievo-Druzhkivka, and Ocheretyne. A total of 23 civilian objects were damaged, including 14 residential buildings.

In Ocheretyne, Russian forces struck a civilian minibus with a “Lancet” UAV. One person was killed and three others were injured, including a girl born in 2008. A civilian car was also damaged.

In Druzhkivka, Russian troops carried out four attacks, including dropping three FAB-250 guided aerial bombs. Five civilians were injured, and six multi-storey residential buildings were damaged. In Oleksiievo-Druzhkivka, a private house was damaged.

Russian forces struck Kramatorsk with four drones of various types. Two civilians were injured. A multi-storey building, two private houses, an infrastructure facility, and three civilian vehicles were damaged.

In Sloviansk, a child — a girl born in 2012 — was injured as a result of drone attacks. A private house was destroyed and a vehicle was damaged.

In Mykolaivka, two people were injured, and two multi-storey residential buildings were damaged.

Luhansk oblast

In the Luhansk region over the past day, Russian forces carried out combat missions using 11 UAVs, according to Luhansk Regional Military Administration head Oleksii Kharchevskyi. The occupying forces also used mortars and automatic grenade launchers. On the Lyman direction, the Russian army conducted 10 assaults near seven settlements.

Russian occupation authorities reported the abduction of at least 24 Ukrainian children from the temporarily occupied Luhansk region since the beginning of the year, according to the Center for Countering Disinformation.

In occupied Luhansk, at the “Voin” military-sports center, Russian forces are training children and young people up to the age of 35 in military skills. Schoolchildren train on simulators for tactical unit operations, UAV operation, and combat drone control. These activities are part of a systematic militarization of children in temporarily occupied territories.

Russia’s Ministry of Construction has expressed concern over the low level of readiness of Lysychansk for winter. The city is preparing for its fifth winter under occupation, during which residents may again be forced to heat their homes independently. Other critical infrastructure systems in Lysychansk also remain in poor condition.

What is happening now in the north of Ukraine

Kyiv oblast

On the night of June 2, the Russian army carried out a combined massive strike against Ukraine using missiles and drones. The main attack targeted Kyiv.

As a result of the strike on the capital, 6 people were killed and 90 were injured, Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported as of 20:00. Fifty-two injured people are currently hospitalized, including two children.

Since the night, rescuers in the capital have been working in almost all districts — at 29 locations. Most fires have been extinguished, while operations continue at 6 active sites in 5 districts of Kyiv, the State Emergency Service reported around 10:00 a.m.

Dozens of residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure were damaged, including a car dealership, a municipal enterprise, an academy, utility buildings, and a gas station. A fire also broke out at the premises of the MIA Service Center 8041 as a result of the attack.

In the Darnytskyi district, a fire broke out at a gas station due to falling debris from a UAV.

In the Obolonskyi district, debris was recorded falling in open areas — both near kindergartens. A fire also broke out at an unfinished construction site.

In the Shevchenkivskyi district, debris caused a fire in a 3-storey non-residential building, as well as partial damage to the facade and roof of a 9-storey residential building. As a result of debris impact on a 24-storey residential building, a fire broke out on the 4th–5th floors. Debris also caused fires in two additional non-residential premises in the district.

In the Sviatoshynskyi district, debris impact caused a fire on the 1st floor of a 5-storey residential building, as well as a fire in a non-residential area.

In the Podilskyi district, a repeated missile strike on a 9-storey residential building caused a partial structural collapse. Debris also fell on the roof of another 9-storey residential building, causing a roof fire and broken windows. Debris from UAVs also caused a fire in a non-residential area that spread to other buildings. On the territory of a municipal enterprise, debris damaged vehicles and a storage facility.

In the Holosiivskyi district, the 2nd and 3rd floors of a clinic were destroyed. Several cars burned in open areas due to debris impact. Additional debris falls were also recorded in open areas.

In the Solomianskyi district, debris struck the upper floors of a 15-storey residential building, and a fire broke out in a 24-storey building on the 7th–8th floors. Fires were also reported in two private houses and in a non-residential building area due to debris impact.

The shelling of the capital damaged a DTEK production site and energy infrastructure facilities. Residents of the Sviatoshynskyi, Obolonskyi, and Shevchenkivskyi districts were temporarily left without electricity. As of daytime, power engineers have restored electricity supply to all 140,000 households.

As a result of the Russian night attack on June 2, 11 educational institutions in the Podilskyi, Sviatoshynskyi, and Solomianskyi districts of Kyiv were damaged, the Kyiv City State Administration reported. These include 5 kindergartens, 4 schools, 1 vocational education institution, and 1 college. In most cases, the damage involved broken windows.

In Kyiv, five medical facilities were damaged and partially destroyed due to the shelling — including two specialized medical institutions and primary healthcare centers in the Podilskyi, Sviatoshynskyi, and Holosiivskyi districts. The Holosiivskyi facility was the most severely affected, with the second and third floors destroyed.

During the day of June 2, Russian forces launched drones at the capital, Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported. Air Defense Forces were active in the city. Russian troops struck the same buildings that had already been attacked during the night.

In Kyiv region, three residents were injured as a result of the Russian night attack on June 2, according to the head of the Regional Military Administration Mykola Kalashnyk. All victims received prompt medical assistance, and one person remains hospitalized.

The consequences of the attack were recorded in four districts of the region: Buchanskyi, Vyshhorodskyi, Fastivskyi, and Obukhivskyi. In total, 88 sites were damaged across the region, including private houses, multi-storey residential buildings, warehouse and logistics facilities, and around 50 vehicles.

The Buchanskyi district suffered the most damage. There, three private houses, logistics and warehouse facilities, other non-residential buildings, and six cargo trucks were damaged.

In the Vyshhorodskyi district, two apartment buildings and one private household were damaged.

In the Fastivskyi and Obukhivskyi districts, private houses were damaged.

A feature of Russia’s massive overnight strike on Ukraine on June 2 was the use of ballistic missiles in two waves, including eight “Zircon” anti-ship missiles, according to Yurii Ihnat, head of communications for the Ukrainian Air Force.

During the night of June 2, more than 41,000 people sheltered in Kyiv metro stations during the attack, the Kyiv City State Administration reported. This is the highest number of people using the subway as a shelter during a night air raid in recent years.

Zhytomyr oblast

Zhytomyr region has become a place of refuge for more than 128,000 internally displaced persons, while currently nearly 73,000 IDPs live in the region, according to the head of the Regional Military Administration, Vitalii Bunechko.

Together with international partners, the region is providing people with permanent and quality housing. Around 400 displaced persons have already received keys to new homes in Zhytomyr, Zviahel, Ovruch, and other cities. Large-scale housing construction is ongoing for more than 500 additional evacuated residents in Zhytomyr, Brusyliv, and Andrushivka.

Nearly 500 displaced persons and people with disabilities have found new jobs in Zhytomyr region with state support since the beginning of the year.

Resilience centers are already operating in 29 communities across Zhytomyr region, helping people cope with stress and anxiety. Since the beginning of the year, more than 7,000 people have received psychological support there, including veterans and their family members.

Sumy oblast

The Regional Military Administration reported that air defence forces destroyed more than 1,200 enemy drones over the week. These included 980 attack UAVs and 17 reconnaissance UAVs. According to the Territorial Defence Zone Headquarters, 1,241 enemy drones were detected in the skies over the oblast during the week. Of these, 98% were destroyed or suppressed.

Sumy oblast Prosecutor’s Office informed that after 12pm on 2 May, a russian drone killed a 72-year-old man on the R-44 Sumy — Putyvl — Hlukhiv road. The man was travelling by car when russian forces attacked him by a UAV near Nekrasove village. He died at the scene from shrapnel wounds.

Viktor Lekhman, Krolevets Mayor, said that a russian UAV attacked a residential building in Krolevets on the morning of 2 June. The strike damaged a home and a car. There were no fatalities or injuries.

Artem Kobzar, Acting Sumy Mayor, reported that on the morning of 2 June, the enemy struck an apartment block in Zarichnyi district of Sumy. Three people — two women and a man — sustained moderate injuries in the attack. The condition of those injured is assessed as moderate. More than 20 windows were damaged. In Kovpakivskyi district, a UAV hit a private house.

According to the Main Department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Sumy oblast, one person was injured in Hlukhiv as a result of a russian strike on the evening of 1 June. russian forces hit a grocery shop. Due to the threat of a repeat strike, rescuers temporarily suspended operations. All fire outbreaks were extinguished.

Sumy branch of “Gas Networks” informed that russian forces attacked Ulianivka in Mykolaivka settlement community. A gas pipeline was damaged as a result of the hostilities. Some residents were left without gas.

according to Vorozhba City Council, russian troops in Vorozhba community began dropping mines and other explosive objects using FPV drones and attack UAVs.

The Regional Military Administration reported that as of the morning of 2 June, nine people, including one child, were injured in enemy strikes in Sumy oblast over the past day.

In Seredyna-Buda community, a 60-year-old man was injured in a UAV attack.

In Hlukhiv community, four people were injured as a result of enemy UAV strikes: a child, a five-month-old boy, women aged 28 and 39, and a 38-year-old man.

In Konotop community, a 64-year-old man was injured in a UAV attack.

In Sumy community, a 76-year-old woman was injured when an enemy UAV hit an apartment block.

In Kyrykivka community, an 85-year-old woman was injured after an enemy drone hit a residential building.

In Krasnopillia community, a 36-year-old man was wounded after an enemy drone hit.

Over the past day, from the morning of 1 June to the morning of 2 June, russian troops carried out nearly 80 attacks on 27 settlements in 20 territorial communities of the oblast. The highest number of attacks was recorded in Sumy and Shostka regions. The enemy used mortars, FPV drones, UAVs and guided aerial bombs. Over the day, the air raid alert in the oblast lasted 22 hours and 53 minutes.

Civilian infrastructure facilities were damaged and destroyed:

▪️in Seredyna-Buda community, private residential houses and a car were damaged;
▪️in Hlukhiv community, shop premises, an educational institution, private residential houses, non-residential buildings and cars were damaged;
▪️in Sumy community, private residential houses, an apartment block, a civilian infrastructure facility and a car were damaged;
▪️in Znob-Novhorodske community, a civilian infrastructure facility and a private residential house were damaged;
▪️in Krolevets community, lorries and a non-residential building were damaged;
▪️in Mykolaivka rural community, a combine harvester was damaged;
▪️in Konotop community, premises of a medical institution were damaged;
▪️in Trostianets community, private houses and a civilian infrastructure facility were damaged;
▪️in Kyrykivka community, a private residential house was damaged;
▪️in Berezivka community, a private residential house and outbuildings were destroyed, while private residential houses, a tractor and a civilian infrastructure facility were damaged;
▪️in Khutir-Mykhailivskyi community, a private residential house was damaged;
▪️in Shostka community, residential houses, shop premises and a civilian infrastructure facility were damaged;
▪️in Shalyhyne community, private residential houses were destroyed;
▪️in Esman community, private residential houses and outbuildings were destroyed.

Over the past day, local authorities, together with units of State Emergency Service, National Police and non-governmental organisations, evacuated nine people from border communities.

Chernihiv oblast

Viacheslav Chaus, Head of Chernihiv Regional Military Administration, reported that during the day on 1 June and overnight on 2 June, defenders of Chernihiv oblast shot down 160 attack drones and two cruise missiles.

Oleksandr Seliverstov, Head of Novhorod-Siverskyi Regional Military Administration, said that the enemy attacked Semenivka throughout the night of 2 June. At around 6:26am, russian forces struck a building of a care home for older people by an FPV drone. There were no injuries among residents or staff of the facility.

Chernihiv City Council informed that a private house caught fire in central Chernihiv on 2 June as a result of a russian drone attack. The fire was extinguished by rescuers. No reports of injuries were received. An explosion in the city was heard at around 1:55am at night.

According to Oleksandr Seliverstov, Head of Novhorod-Siverskyi Regional Military Administration, at around 00:35am on 2 June, russians attacked Avdiivka village in Ponornytsia community by two Herbera-type attack UAVs. The strikes caused a fire in garages belonging to the Education Department of the Settlement Council, and a vehicle belonging to the department was also damaged.

Pavlo Miroshnychenko, Head of Koriukivka Regional Military Administration, said that the body of a local resident born in 1948 was found under the rubble of Novoborovytsia Lyceum in Snovsk area, which russian forces destroyed by two Heran UAVs during the day on 1 June. According to preliminary information, the woman hid in the basement of the institution during the danger. Seventy-eight children studied remotely at the lyceum.

Chernihiv oblast Police reported that over the day on 1 June, the russian army attacked settlements in Chernihiv region by drones. In Ripky, russians struck an enterprise by UAVs, damaging a locomotive and injuring a train driver. In Horodnia, russians attacked a petrol station.

Oleksandr Seliverstov, Head of Novhorod-Siverskyi Regional Military Administration, informed that on 1 June, russian forces attacked a civilian car by an FPV drone at the exit from Semenivka. The strike occurred near the car, injuring a local resident born in 2007. The victim, a second-year student, was hospitalised with concussion and acoustic trauma. The vehicle was damaged.

According to Viacheslav Chaus, Head of Chernihiv Regional Military Administration, a 15-year-old boy from Moshchenka who was injured on 1 June remains under medical supervision. His condition has been stabilised. In the evening, an FPV drone struck a local shop in the village.

Chernihiv Border Detachment reported that over the day on 1 June, russian forces attacked three border communities in Chernihiv oblast: Novhorod-Siverskyi, Semenivka, Horodnia and Snovsk. The enemy carried out strikes using tube artillery (nine explosions) and FPV drones (eight explosions), and dropped an explosive device from a UAV (one explosion). Seven settlements came under enemy fire.

Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine

Dnipropetrovsk oblast

Dnipro. According to updated information, 6 people were killed in Dnipro as a result of the massive attack. 33 people were injured, including a 13-year-old girl. Fires broke out. 2 apartment buildings were destroyed and garages and other buildings were damaged.

Kamianske region. 3 people were injured in Kamianske. A fire broke out. 2 residential buildings and an administrative building were damaged.

Nikopol region. The occupiers attacked the regional centre, Chervonohryhorivka, Pokrovske rural and Marhanets communities by drones. 3 apartment buildings and a non-residential building were damaged.

Synelnykove region. A non-operational building caught fire in Vasylkivka community as a result of a UAV attack.

Kryvyi Rih region. A fire broke out in Apostolove community due to a UAV strike.

Dnipro. 2 children were injured in Dnipro as a result of UAV strikes. An apartment building and an enterprise were damaged. According to updated information, 16 people were killed and 42 injured as a result of the nighttime attack.

Kamianske region. A private house caught fire in Kamianske due to a UAV attack.

Nikopol region. A 63-year-old man was injured in Nikopol as a result of an FPV attack. The occupiers attacked Marhanets, Chervonohryhorivka, Pokrovske rural and Myrove communities by drones and artillery. A fire broke out. A car was destroyed and 2 private houses, an administrative building, solar panels, 3 cars, a garage, a power line and infrastructure were damaged.

Kryvyi Rih region. The enemy attacked Apostolove, Zelenodolsk and Hrushivka communities by drones. Infrastructure and a trailer were damaged.

Synelnykove region. A shop caught fire in Malomykhailivka community as a result of a guided aerial bomb strike.

Vinnytsia oblast 

Mayor Serhii Morhunov reported that the team of the Interregional Coordination Headquarters continues to systematically support the warriors. This time, 5 Security and Defence Forces units were reinforced: the 1st Heavy Mechanised Brigade, the 144th Mechanised Brigade, the 37th Marine Brigade, the 22nd Separate Mechanised Brigade and the Vinnytsia National Guard Regiment.

Kirovohrad oblast

Memorial ceremonies for servicemen Ihor Yavorskyi, Stanislav Pecheniuk, Serhii Kostenko and Serhii Popkov took place in Kropyvnytskyi.

Serhii Kostenko was killed on 25 May while carrying out a combat mission near Dobropillia city in Donetsk oblast. He was 32 years old.

Ihor Yavorskyi was killed on 17 October 2024. Since then, he had been considered missing in action. The warrior’s death has now been confirmed by DNA examination. He was 42 years old.

Stanislav Pecheniuk was killed on 11 March 2023, while carrying out a combat mission near Vodiane village in Pokrovsk region of Donetsk oblast. His death has now been confirmed by DNA examination. He was 29 years old.

Serhii Popkov went missing near Petropavlivka village in Donetsk oblast on 30 January 2025. The serviceman’s death has now been confirmed by DNA examination. He was 45 years old.

Poltava oblast

Sergeant Dmytro Khachiian was laid to rest in Poltava. The soldier was killed on 16 May 2026, in Donetsk oblast.

Junior Sergeant Tymur Miroshnychenko from Myrhorod was killed in Kharkiv oblast on 26 May while carrying out a combat mission. He served as commander of a specialised rifle unit.

In Lubny region, 2 people suffered acute stress reactions as a result of missile strikes, falling missile debris and Geran-2 UAVs. Production facilities of a private company, 3 houses and utility structures were damaged. Poltava Regional Prosecutor’s Office has launched a pre-trial investigation in 2 criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Article 438 Commission of a war crime of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

Cherkasy oblast

President of Ukraine awarded the fallen defender from Khrystynivka community, Kostiantyn Dovhan, with the Order For Courage III degree. The state award was presented to the parents of the fallen defender.

Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine

Zaporizhzhia oblast

Ivan Fedorov, Head of Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, reported that russian forces attacked Zaporizhzhia in the evening. A non-residential building was damaged.

3 people were injured as a result of russian attacks on Zaporizhzhia oblast. A 76-year-old man was injured. A russian FPV drone struck a car in Kushuhum. A 72-year-old man and a 49-year-old woman were injured.

The russian military attacked Zaporizhzhia again. An industrial and critical infrastructure facility was hit. 15 apartment buildings and 2 private houses were damaged as a result of the shelling.

3 people were injured as a result of russian attacks on Zaporizhzhia, Vilniansk and Polohy regions. On 2 June,  russian troops carried out 890 strikes on 44 settlements in Zaporizhzhia oblast. The occupiers attacked mostly by UAVs (primarily FPV drones).

Mykolaiv oblast

According to Mykolaiv RMA, on 1 June, critical infrastructure in Mykolaiv oblast was under russian attack. In Mykolaiv oblast, windows and the roof of a private house were damaged as a result of combat operations and falling debris.

Yesterday, russian troops attacked Horokhiv community by an FPV drone. As a result of the attack in Novotymofiivka village, the roof of a garage was damaged. There were no injuries reported.

On 1 June, the russian military attacked Ochakiv community 7 times by FPV drones and Kutsurub community by a Molniia  UAV.

Odesa oblast

Based on the information provided by the Air Force, today, UAVs moving from the Black Sea toward Odesa oblast were detected in the airspace.

Kherson oblast

Referring to Kherson RMA, at around 2:40pm, russians attacked Dniprovskyi district of Kherson by UAVs. As a result of the drone strike, 2 women aged 73 and 79 were injured. They sustained blast injuries, closed craniocerebral injuries, concussions and shrapnel wounds. A 51-year-old man was injured, suffering a mine-blast injury and shrapnel wounds to his arm and leg.

A man who was injured around 2:30pm as a result of a russian drone attack on Dniprovskyi district of Kherson was taken to hospital. The 65-year-old Kherson resident sustained a blast injury, as well as shrapnel wounds to his head, neck, chest and arm.

A 55-year-old man who came under russian shelling in Komyshany today sought medical assistance. He sustained a mine-blast injury, concussion and acute stress reaction.

2 men who came under russian shelling in Bilozirka at around 10am in the morning were injured. The 47-year-old victim was diagnosed with a mine-blast injury and shrapnel wounds to his torso and arms. The other victim, aged 44, sustained a mine-blast injury, open craniocerebral trauma and brain contusion.

At around 8am, russian occupiers attacked Korabelnyi district of Kherson by UAVs. A 65-year-old man was injured in the drone strike. He sustained a mine-blast injury and concussion.

At around 5am, russians shelled Korabelnyi district of Kherson by artillery. A 59-year-old man sustained a blast injury and shrapnel wounds to the head as a result of the attack.

At around 3:15am, russians attacked Dniprovskyi district of Kherson by UAVs. As a result of a drone hitting a house, a 16-year-old girl was injured. She sustained a mine-blast injury, concussion and arm injury.

Latest news for today in the western regions of Ukraine

Volyn oblast

It became known about the death of Mykola Maksymchuk, soldier from Manevytska community. Since March 2025, the compatriot served in one of the Assault Units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. On 21 June of the same year, he died while performing a combat mission.

Zakarpattia oblast

Soldier Vladislav Shytikhin, 33-year-old commander of the 3rd Airmobile Detachment of the Airmobile Battalion of the 82nd Separate Airborne Assault Brigade, returned to Uzhhorod on a shield. On 30 June 2024, while performing a combat mission near Vovchansk, Chuhuyiv region, the soldier went missing. Later, it was confirmed that the Hero was killed in that battle.

Ivano-Frankivsk oblast

With the support of the Swedish Aid Center CF about 25,000 units of products were delivered to the oblast for social institutions. These are mattresses, blankets, pillows, bed linen and other items that are used daily in social protection institutions.

Lviv oblast

The first 200 participants of the Carpathian Change national project have arrived in Lviv oblast. These are children from frontline communities in Sumy and Kharkiv oblasts. Ahead of them are 2 weeks of vacation, relaxation and new experiences in the oblast.

Rivne oblast

The RMA reported that in total, 193 internally displaced persons arrived in the oblast on evacuation trains in 2026.

Ternopil oblast

Almost 1,300 combatants have already used the free parking service in Ternopil and have used over 6,500 hours of parking in city lots. The service works through the e-Ternopil application and allows you to receive 100 preferential hours every month.

Khmelnytskyi oblast

During the night attack, the Air Defense Forces shot down/suppressed 9 drones in the oblast. As a result of the attack, premises on the territory of enterprises in Khmelnytskyi region were damaged. There were no injuries or deaths. Units of the State Emergency Service were involved in eliminating the consequences of the shelling and extinguishing the fires.

Chernivtsi oblast

Sokyrian territorial community sent a MAN truck and 2 Fiat Ducato minibuses worth over EUR 17,000to the the 82nd Separate Bukovina Airborne Assault Brigade.

International support of Ukraine in the russian-Ukrainian war (russia’s invasion of Ukraine)

Wang Yi and Yvette Cooper, Chinese and British Foreign Ministers, discussed russia’s war against Ukraine during talks in Beijing and agreed that their countries should jointly uphold justice on the basis of the UN Charter, according to a statement from the Chinese Foreign Ministry on the 11th China-UK Strategic Dialogue chaired by the 2 ministers.
