It has been the 627th day of the Ukrainian resistance to the russian military aggression. 

What happened in Ukraine today:

Here is operational information of the General Staff as of 6 pm:   

There were 61 combat engagements. The enemy launched 3 missiles and 27 air strikes, 43 MLRS attacks at the positions of Ukrainian troops and various settlements. Russian terrorist attacks have resulted in civilian casualties and injuries. Private residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure were destroyed and damaged.

The operational situation in east and south of Ukraine remains difficult.

Towards Volyn and Polissia, there were no significant changes and no signs of formation of an offensive group. Certain units of the armed forces of belarus continue their missions in the areas bordering Ukraine.

Towards Siversk and Sloboda, the enemy maintains its military presence in the areas of russia bordering Ukraine. The enemy continues its sabotage and reconnaissance activities, shelling Ukrainian settlements from the territory of russia. They increase the density of minefields along the state border of Ukraine. Around 15 settlements came under enemy artillery and mortar fire, including Kliusy, Chernihiv oblast, Starykove, Basivka, Zapsillya, Myropillia, Sumy oblast, Nesterne, Dvorichanske, Vovchansk, Kharkiv oblast.

Towards Kupiansk, the enemy conducted assault operations with air support in the vicinity of Synkivka, Petropavlivka, Ivanivka, Kyslivka, Kharkiv oblast. The Ukrainian defenders repelled 8x attacks in the area. The invaders fired from artillery and mortars at around 10 settlements, including Novomlynsk, Synkivka, Kyslivka, Krokhmalne, Tabaivka, Kharkiv oblast.

Towards Lyman, the enemy launched assaults with air support in the area of Novoiehorivka, Luhansk oblast, where Ukrainian defenders repelled 4 attacks. The invaders launched air strikes in the area of Serebrianske forestry, Luhansk oblast, and Siversk, Donetsk oblast. The occupiers fired artillery and mortars at around 10 settlements, including Makiivka, Nevske, Bilohorivka, Luhansk oblast, Verkhniokamianske, Vyimka, Fedorivka, Rai-Oleksandrivka, Donetsk oblast.

Towards Bakhmut, the invaders conducted assault operations with air support in the vicinities of Dubovo-Vasylivka, Andriivka and east of Klischiivka Donetsk oblast, where Ukrainian defenders repelled 6 attacks. Over 15 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire, including Bohdanivka, Ivanivske, Klishchiivka, Kurdyumivka, Andriivka, New York, Donetsk oblast.

Towards Avdiivka, the enemy conducted failed assault operations with air support near Avdiivka, Sieverne, Donetsk oblast, where the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 10 attacks. The enemy fired artillery and mortars at around 15 settlements, including Novokalynove, Orlivka, Lastochkyne, Sjeverne, Avdiivka, Opytne, Donetsk oblast.

Towards Mariinka, the enemy made unsuccessful assaults with air support in the vicinities of Mariinka and Novomykhailivka, Donetsk oblast, where Ukrainian defenders repelled 20 attacks. Around 10 settlements of Donetsk oblast, including Heorhiivka, Mariinka, Pobjeda, Novomykhailivka, Antonivka, Yelyzavetivka were under the occupiers’ artillery and mortar fire.

Towards Shakhtarsk, the invaders conducted assaults in the vicinity of Staromestske, Donetsk oblast, to no success. Ukrainian defenders repelled 2 attacks in the area. They  launched air strikes near Urozhaine and Staromaiorsk, Donetsk oblast. Around 10 settlements, including Vuhledar, Novoukrainka, Prechystivka, Zolota Nyva, Blahodatne, Urozhaine, Donetsk oblast, came under artillery and mortar fire.

Towards Zaporizhzhia, the invaders launched air strikes near Novodanylivka and Mala Tokmachka, Zaporizhzhia oblast. More than 20 settlements, including Levadne, Huliaipole, Novodanylivka, Novopavlivka, Novoandriivka, Kamianske, Zaporizhzhia oblast, came under artillery and mortar fire.

Towards Kherson, the invaders launched air strikes near the settlements of Tiahynka, Beryslav, Ivanivka, Kherson oblast, and the city of Kherson. The settlement of Antonivka, Kherson oblast, the city of Kherson and the city of Ochakiv, Mykolaiv oblast, suffered from enemy artillery shelling.

At the same time, the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue their offensive operation towards Melitopol and offensive (assault) operations towards Bakhmut, inflicting losses in manpower and equipment on the occupation forces, exhausting the enemy all along the front line.

In the city of Starobilsk, Luhansk oblast, the occupiers are mobilizing local residents to the armed forces of the russian federation. The men of the city are trying to avoid military service by any means possible. They quit their jobs, hide, and move to other settlements. Mobilized citizens who could not evade military service are sent for military training to Krasnodar Krai of the russian federation.

The Ukrainian Air Forces launched 4 air strikes on the buildup of troops, weapons and military equipment of the occupiers. The Ukrainian air defense destroyed 1 Kh-59 air-launched cruise missile.

The Ukrainian missile troops hit 3 ammunition depots and 2 ammunition buildups of troops, weapons and military equipment of the russian invaders.


Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the National Police has opened 99,799 criminal proceedings for crimes committed by russians in Ukraine. Most criminal proceedings are opened for violations of laws and customs of war, for encroachment on territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine, collaborative activities and treason.

During the year of liberation of the right bank of Kherson oblast, 405 people died as a result of russian attacks. Among them are 10 children, another 1,705 people received  injuries of various degrees of severity.

Recent war events in the east of Ukraine

Kharkiv oblast

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, towards Kupiansk, russian invaders, supported by aviation, conducted assault operations near Synkivka, Petropavlivka, Ivanivka and Kyslivka. The Defence Forces repelled 8 attacks.

Oleh Syniehubov, Head of Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, said that the invaders attacked Shevchenkivskyi district in the evening. There were three explosions. There is damage to civilian infrastructure. Preliminary, there were no casualties. Specialised services are working at the scene.

Volodymyr Fito, Head of the Public Relations Service of the Ground Forces Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, reported that yesterday russia shelled towards Lyman-Kupiansk 486 times. Also russian troops are advancing towards Lyman-Kupiansk. There were 7 combat engagements over the day, namely near Synkivka, Ivanivka, Nadiia and Serebrianka forestry and russia used aircraft nine times. Fito added that 111 russian soldiers were eliminated and 14 pieces of military equipment, including a tank.

During the day, russian invaders attacked settlements of Kharkiv, Chuhuiv and Kupiansk regions. Specifically, Mali Prokhody of Kharkiv region, Starytsia and Vovchanski Khutory of Chuhuiv region, Dvorichna, Synkivka, Petropavlivka, Ivanivka, Berestove of Kupiansk region and other settlements were under attack.

There were no casualties from the shelling over the day.

On the road between Hrakove village and Mospakove village around 5 pm. Hrakove and Mospanove village of Chuhuiv region, a truck tripped over an explosive object. The 47-year-old driver was injured and hospitalised in a moderate condition.

Mine clearance is ongoing. Yesterday bomb pyrotechincs of the State Emergency Service examined more than 9 hectares of territory and defused 54 explosive ordnance.

Towards Kupiansk, our defenders repelled 7 enemy attacks near Synkivka and Ivanivka yesterday.

As of 11 November 2023, 249 children have been evacuated from dangerous communities of Kupiansk region. Another 43 are to be evacuated. The evacuation is ongoing.

Donetsk oblast

According to the General Staff, the Defence Forces repelled 10 russian attacks towards Bakhmut, 18 towards Avdiivka, 11 towards Shakhtarsk and 22 towards Marinka yesterday.

Volodymyr Fito, Head of Public Relations of the Ground Forces Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, informed that russian troops shelled towards Bakhmut 565 times yesterday.

Petro Andriushchenko, Mariupol Mayor’s Councillor, said that in Boikivske, which has been occupied since 2014, the headquarters of russian invaders was hit. More than 10 russian soldiers were eliminated.

Oleksandr Stupun, Spokesman of the Joint Press Centre of Tavriisk Defence Forces, stated that  towards Avdiivka, russian forces reduced the number of ground attacks. Russian troops are regrouping and using aviation.

The Regional Police reported that yesterday russian troops shelled Minkivka and Pivnichne with artillery, destroying buildings and damaging private and apartment buildings and cars in Toretsk.

Towards Donetsk, two buildings were damaged in Krasnohorivka of Mariinka community and Novomykhailivka was shelled. In the morning, russians attacked downtown Avdiivka with Grad MRLs. In Ocheretyne community, Ocheretyne, Stepove, Berdychi, Novokalynove, Tonenke and Orlivka were under hostile attack.

Towards Horlivka, 2 people were killed, 30 houses, an infrastructure facility and an administrative building were damaged in Toretsk. In Soledar community, 1 person was killed in Minkivka, Nykyforivka and Rozdolivka were hit. In Chasiv Yar community, 3 buildings and an industrial building were damaged.

Towards Lysychansk, a building was damaged and Lyman community were attacked 8 times.

Ihor Moroz, Acting Head of Donetsk Regional Military Administration, reported that yesterday russians killed 3 civilians: 2 in Toretsk and 1 in Minkivka.

Luhansk oblast

Artem Lysohor, Head of Luhansk Regional Military Administration, said that Nevske suffers from shelling but there is constant support for those who stayed behind. Locals received items that will be useful in the winter from the International Organisation for Migration. During the day, russians stormed near Stelmakhivka, Nadiia and Serebrianka forestry. They tried to attack from three directions. Serebrianka Forestry was attacked with aircraft. Bilohorivka was attacked from the sky and artillery.

Residents of Nevske received a shipment of aid from IOM: mattresses, blankets, pillows, bedding, dishes, chairs, matches, candles, lighters, solar-powered lanterns, etc.

According to Luhansk Regional Military Administration, the invaders installed landline phones in some places in Kreminna and Sievierodonetsk. Where the equipment is still there. Mobile communications in these cities have been switched off by russians.

What is happening now in the north of Ukraine

Kyiv oblast

The Center for Advancement in Restoration and Modernization Capacity of Ukraine (CARMC) was opened in Kyiv. CARMC aims to build recovery capacity. It will explore nationwide recovery processes: laws and regulations, stakeholder roles, digital platforms. Based on this analysis, the Center plans to create a knowledge base at all stages of the process.

The deputy head of the KCSA Hanna Starostenko announced that more than 60 monuments related to the history and culture of russia and the Soviet Union have been removed from the public space of the capital. She noted that the vast majority of objects that were determined by the decision of the Kyiv City Council “On approval of the list of objects to be removed from the public space of the city of Kyiv” adopted in this July were dismantled in the capital. But there are still objects that still have the status of monuments of national significance.

Military expert Oleksiy Hetman said that russian occupiers can convert S-400 anti-aircraft missiles into ballistic missiles, increasing their range. According to him, the russian military could use such a modified missile during the attack on Kyiv on November 11.

Bucha City Council reported that a modern rehabilitation department will be opened in the city. The work of the department will be aimed at treating patients of various age groups with the consequences of strokes, injuries, orthopedic, neurological diseases, surgical interventions that require a complex of rehabilitation measures, especially war veterans.

Brovar city council reported that Soviet symbols are being dismantled in the city as part of Law No. 7253 “On Condemnation and Prohibition of Propaganda of russian Imperial Policy in Ukraine and Decolonization of Toponymy.” The other day on the main building of “Ukrposhta” they dismantled the panel “to russian cities”, which was located there for several decades in a row since Soviet times.

The regional center for the rescue of wild animals reported that in the suburbs of Kyiv in the village of In Chubinske, a tigress was injured by a russian missile attack in the morning. The tigress received anti-inflammatory and analgesic therapy, but apparently injured her hind limbs or spine. Doctors are currently examining the animal. The rest of the animals, as noted in the Center, were not injured, but experienced severe stress.

Zhytomyr oblast

2 experienced defenders from Zhytomyr oblast died in combat. Yuriy Durytskyi from Chernyakhiv was killed during a combat mission near Stepove in Avdiivka area, Yuriy Sydorenko died in the area of Staromayorske settlement of Donetsk oblast.

Olevsk City Council reported that 9 defenders of Ukraine were awarded in the city, six – posthumously.

A charity concert in support of the soldiers of the 30th Brigade was held in Zviahel. Artists collected funds for drones for defenders-compatriots.

Sumy oblast

Sumy RMA reported that the border of the Sumy oblast was subjected to mortar shelling by the army of the russian federation once again. Four explosions were recorded in Myropillia community, and three more in Velyka Pysarivka.

The State Border Service of Ukraine reported that another enemy FPV drone was destroyed in Sumy oblast. Border guards detected an aerial target and used an anti-drone gun on it, causing the drone to malfunction and explode.

Sappers of the 70th battalion held mine safety classes for schoolchildren in Hlukhiv region. The servicemen discussed the most common explosive devices and explained which items the enemy can most often detonate. The event was held in the center of military-patriotic education of the Hlukhiv National Military Academy.

Chernihiv oblast

SBGS reported that over the past day, seven settlements in the Chernihiv oblast came under shelling. The enemy fired at the villages of Novhorod-Siverskyi, Semenivka and Snovsk communities, probably from 120 mm mortars and AGS. In total, more than 80 explosions were recorded.

Chernihiv RMA announced that as a result of the full-scale war with the russian federation, 500 economic entities were destroyed or damaged in oblast, production decreased by a quarter, and exports fell by 40%. However, the economy of the region is being gradually restored thanks to the efforts of the government and the support of foreign partners.

Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine

Dnipropetrovsk oblast

Mykola Lukashuk, Head of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast Council reported that during the night the enemy hit Marganets community of Nikopol district twice with artillery. More than half a dozen shells were fired.

Human rights activist and journalist from Dnipro Olha Volynska presented her book How war changes us at the International Book Forum in Vienna. One of the publication copies was presented at the forum to the Austrian President Alexander van der Bellen.

Vinnytsia oblast

In Vinnytsia, almost 400,000 UAH were collected for defenders at a charity auction during the XVI Unbreakable VINNYTsiYanskyi Film Festival. The money is planned to be used for the purchase of a combat reconnaissance-surveillance vehicle for the 120th separate territorial defense brigade.

The first volume of the Book of Memory of those who died for Ukraine was presented at the media center of Vinnytsia RMA. It contains data on 273 Vinnytsia residents who were killed in action between 2014 and February 24, 2022 defending the independence of Ukraine. 

Kirovohrad oblast

In Kropyvnytskyi, the administration and parents of children studying in preschool No. 72 raised funds for equipment and tires for the Armed Forces of Ukraine unit’s car. 

Poltava oblast

In Poltava oblast, the construction of nine anti-radiation shelters in schools is being completed in eight communities using the state budget funds for co-financing by local communities.

Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine

Zaporizhzhia oblast

Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration reported that on November 11, the russian army made 87 attacks on 18 localities in Zaporizhzhia oblast. The enemy fired 76 artillery shells at Huliaipole, Novoandriivka, Malynivka, Poltavka, Levadne, Robotyne, Mali Shcherbaky, Kamianske, Lobkove and other frontline towns and villages. 

A modular combined shelter is being installed in the centre of Zaporizhzhia. 300 structures are planned to be set up in crowded areas. The modular shelters are to consist of two parts: a protective room equipped with benches that city residents can use as a shelter and a 12 sq m commercial space for selling consumer goods. According to the plan, such shelters can accommodate up to 25 people during an air raid. These shelters will be financed by private enterprises.

Mykolaiv oblast

On the night of November 12 russian forces launched an air strike at Mykolaiv oblast, using guided missiles of the X-59 type, simultaneously employing ballistic missiles, likely the “Iskander-M.” The air defense forces managed to destroy one of the guided missiles. The second guided missile and the ballistic one hit an open area in the region. Due to the debris from the missile, several residential buildings were damaged. Preliminary reports indicate no casualties. 

Meetings with military personnel and their families, psychological support and art therapy sessions are being held over the weekend in the Mykolaiv City Center for War Veterans Support. The goal is to offer support, identify any psychological issues, and then provide consultations with psychologists who will work with them. 

Odesa oblast

The “South” Operational Command reported that the  russian aircraft launched four guided bombs at the Black Sea, continuing to terrorise civilian navigation. Due to a severe storm, only one enemy ship is on combat duty in the Black Sea, with missile carriers placed in their bases. The level of mine danger is extremely high. 

Nine Safety Classes were opened in Odesa within a week. Using 3D stands, coloring books, and other materials developed by the State Emergency Service of Ukraine and the UNICEF Ukraine Children’s Fund, children acquire knowledge about safety. Rescuers and police officers are regularly invited to conduct lessons, teaching children how to live safely through interactive activities. 

DTEK “Odesa Electric Networks” completed the reconstruction of 11 high-voltage and distribution network facilities in Odesa oblast and built 25 kilometers of overhead and cable lines in case of possible blackouts as part off preparation for the heating season. This will help ensure reliable electricity supply to 37 critical infrastructure facilities, including 13 hospitals, 16 boiler houses, and 8 water supply and drainage facilities, as well as the homes of 64 thousand customers throughout the region before the challenging winter predicted by experts. Kherson oblast

In the morning russian troops attacked the Dniprovsky region of Kherson. A man was killed, a woman was hospitalised in moderate condition, and doctors are providing her with medical care. 

At dawn, the russian army launched a missile attack on Kherson. Information about the victims and the damage is being clarified

Oleksandr Prokudin, Head of Kherson Regional Military Administration, reported that as a result of another hit by russian shells, a fire broke out in the building of the Oles Honchar’s library. Rescuers extinguished the fire for over an hour and a half.

State Emergency Service of Ukraine/Telegram

A meeting with participants of the All-Ukrainian Forum of Military Writers took place in Kherson in honor of the Liberation Day. Local authors read their works dedicated to the occupation and liberation of the region. Employees of the regional library presented a photo exhibition titled “Unconquered Kherson,” featuring images from the early days of the occupation and the resistance by the locals.

Kherson Regional Military Administration reported that on November 11, russian troops attacked Kherson oblast 62 times, firing 343 shells at the region, 22 at Kherson. Four people were injured. 

Yesterday, energy workers conducted emergency restoration work on power lines supplying Vysokopillia, Velyka Oleksandrivka, Novovorontsovka, Kherson, and Chornobaivka, in preparation for the heating season.

In total, sappers examined 132,132.9 hectares of land, including 110,700.6 hectares of agricultural land on the de-occupied territory of Kherson oblast. Over 122K explosive objects were detected and neutralized.

24 residents, including 3 children, were evacuated from the liberated territories of Kherson oblast. 22 people left by car, and 2 – by train.

Humanitarian aid distribution continues in Kherson oblast. Yesterday, residents of the liberated territories received 370 food kits, 1661 loaves of bread, and 8000 liters of drinking water from international NGOs, philanthropists, and volunteers. Additionally, people received 468 bags of animal feed.

The regional rescue service has responded 5973 times to emergency situations since the beginning of the de-occupation of Kherson oblast, with over 1660 incidents resulting from russian shelling. This was reported by the head of the State Emergency Service in Kherson region, Andrii Masharo.

An exhibition titled “Kherson Chapel” was opened in commemoration of the Liberation Day of Kherson in the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Ethnographic Museum. It features video interviews and photographs from the liberated city, curated into a comprehensive composition by Ivano-Frankivsk designer and artist Iarema Stetsyk.

The Center for National Resistance reported that russians have set up a camp for former fighters of the Wagner Private Military Company near the temporarily occupied Skadovsk in Kherson oblast.

Latest news for today in the western regions of Ukraine

Volyn oblast

Since the beginning of 2023, 66 study vouchers for IDPs have been issued in Volyn. Among them are residents of Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporizhzhia, Kherson, Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Sumy, Mykolaiv, Kyiv and Cherkasy oblasts.

Zakarpattia oblast

Seminars on development of veteran policy were held in the oblast. The day before, a survey was conducted among veterans, their family members, family members of fallen defenders, and representatives of veteran public organizations as part of the implementation of the Path of Sustainability project. Within the framework of the seminar, participants also held a practical brainstorming session to discuss results of the survey and developed specific recommendations on possible ways to solve problematic issues.

Ivano-Frankivsk oblast

In Ivano-Frankivsk community, from the beginning of 2023, payments were allocated from the budget for 836 defenders, who received payments until the anniversary of the full-scale invasion in the total amount of UAH 16,72 mln. 224 persons from the families of the killed and missing received payments in the amount of UAH 17 133 334. 344 people from the families of the killed and missing will receive monthly payments in the amount of the subsistence minimum. 965 servicemen without UBD status received assistance in the total amount of UAH 2,895 mln as compensation for utility bills. Also, 402 wounded fighters received UAH 4,02 mln for treatment.

Lviv oblast

The Medical Lviv Oblast – Zahysnytsiam network will be operational in the oblast. It will be represented by institutions in the field of health care of various forms of ownership, which offer free or discounted services for Defenders and members of Defenders’ families.

RMA reported that in Lviv, from November 20 to 25, Rokas Tamoshauskas, a pain medicine consultant from the Cambridge University Clinic, will treat patients free of charge.

Lviv Philharmonic Orchestra will perform 10 concerts in Germany as part of a tour thanks to support from Lviv RMA, Lviv Regional Council and OPEN MUSIC PROJECT.

Rivne oblast

Another security class was opened in Rivne oblast. He was arranged in the shelter of Mohylianiv Lyceum in Ostrozhchyna. Children will acquire knowledge of mine and fire safety, as well as first aid skills. Special training mannequins, equipment and special tools were placed in the security environment in zones.

Ternopil oblast

The Reconstruction Army project operates in Ternopil oblast. During this year, UAH 2,522 mln were paid to participants.

Khmelnytskyi oblast

In Khmelnytskyi oblast, the order of notification of air alarms has been changed. From today, sirens will only announce the start and end of the air alert. There will be no signal every half hour if the alarm continues for a long time. When the air alarm starts, sirens work intermittently for three minutes. At the end of the air alarm, sirens sound a long continuous signal for one minute.

Chernivtsi oblast

Policemen from Bukovyna delivered humanitarian aid, including equipment, food and tourniquets to the fighters in Donetsk oblast. 

International support of Ukraine in the russian-Ukrainian war (russia’s invasion of Ukraine)

The German government will double military aid for Ukraine. Soon, the country’s parliament will have to approve an additional EUR 4 billion.

Wille Tavio, Minister of Foreign Trade and Development of Finland, announced that since the full-scale invasion of russian troops into Ukraine, the country has provided aid to Kyiv in the total amount of EUR 2,1 billion.

The US introduced sanctions against companies and individuals participating in a global scheme for purchasing electronics for russian military purposes. Restrictions are imposed on 7 individuals and 3 companies.

Britain introduced sanctions against russia’s oil and gold mining sectors. 29 individuals and legal entities are included in the new lists. These are russian businessmen and moneylenders from third countries who form russia’s military income.

The Ministry of Finance of the USA stated that White House urges Congress to support Biden’s request for $11,8 billion for Ukraine’s needs.

Sabrina Singh, Deputy Spokesperson of the US Department of Defense, reported that the next Rammstein will take place in mid-November.

Peter Buttidge, US Secretary of Transportation, announced that the US appointed an adviser on infrastructure issues in Ukraine within the framework of reconstruction. His position will be taken by Robert Mariner. According to him, the adviser will be in Kyiv to provide technical assistance in the implementation of projects aimed at restoring the country.

The Committee on Foreign Affairs of the House of Representatives of the US Congress supported the draft law, which provides for the transfer of part of the frozen russian assets to Ukraine. Next, the bill must pass a vote in the US Congress.

Denmark decided to extend residence permits for Ukrainians until March 17, 2025. First, Ukrainians will be checked for compliance with conditions of temporary protection, after which documents will be extended automatically.

In Estonia, during the Tallinn International Film Festival, the premiere screening of the Kysnev Station Ukrainian poetic drama by director Ivan Tymchenko took place. The tape tells about the life of the soviet dissident Mustafa Dzhemilev.
