It has been the 622 th day of the Ukrainian resistance to the russian military aggression. 

Breaking news

According to the Ministry of Environment, more than 700,000 tons of waste were generated on the territory of our country only as a result of the destruction of military equipment, and more than 71,000 tons of emissions were released into the atmosphere. As a result of hostilities, almost 600,000 square meters of land were polluted, and more than 1,600 tons of pollutants got into water bodies.

Two wetlands of international importance have been virtually destroyed: the Great and Small Kuchugury Archipelago and the Seven Beacons Floodplain.

The entire protected area (1,588 hectares), the most valuable steppe area of the Dzharylgat National Nature Park, was destroyed.

Habitats of species of flora and fauna listed in the Red Book of Ukraine, the European Red List of endangered species of animals and plants on a global scale were damaged.

In addition, the Ministry of Environment reports that as a result of the russian armed aggression today:

812 objects of the nature reserve fund with a total area of 0.9 million hectares were affected.

2.9 million hectares of the Emerald Network territories – 160 territories that are part of the nature protection network of Europe and are protected within the limits of EU and Council of Europe legislation – are under the  threat of destruction.

There are 17 wetlands of international importance (protected by the Ramsar Convention) in the risk zone, which have status due to their unique biodiversity.

514 objects of the nature reserve fund with an area of 0.80 million hectares remain occupied.

What happened in Ukraine today:

Here is operational information of the General Staff as of 6 pm:   

The russian federation continues to wage a war of aggression. Despite significant losses, it does not abandon its plans for complete occupation of Ukraine.

The enemy continues to ignore the laws and customs of war, uses terror tactics, strikes and shells both military and civilian targets, which unfortunately results in civilian casualties.

The operational situation in east and south of Ukraine remains difficult.

During the day of November 7, there were 36 combat engagements.

The enemy launched a total of 3 missile and 35 air strikes, 30x MLRS attacks at the positions of Ukrainian troops and various settlements. The attacks have wounded civilians. Private residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure were destroyed or damaged.

Towards Volyn and Polissia, there were no significant changes and no signs of formation of an offensive group. Certain units of the armed forces of belarus continue their missions in the areas bordering Ukraine.

Towards Siversk and Sloboda, the enemy maintains its military presence in the areas of russia bordering Ukraine. The enemy continues its sabotage and reconnaissance activities, shelling Ukrainian settlements from the territory of russia and increases the density of minefields along the state border of Ukraine. Around 20 settlements came under enemy artillery and mortar fire, including Senkivka, Bleshnya, Karpovychi, Hremiacch, Chernihiv oblast) Simeikyne, Iskryskivshchyna, Basivka, Hrabovske, Popivka, Velyka Pysarivka, Sumy oblast.

Towards Kupiansk, the enemy conducted unsuccessful assault operations in the vicinities of Syn’kivka, Ivanivka, Berestove, Kharkiv oblast. The Ukrainian defenders repelled 5x attacks in the area. Also, the adversary launched air strikes near the settlements of Petropavlivka, Pishchane, Proletarske, Kharkiv oblast. The invaders fired from  artillery and mortars at more than 10 settlements, including Dvorichna, Synkivka, Petropavlivka, Ivanivka, Berestove, Kharkiv oblast. 

Using Lyman, the invaders launched air strikes in the vicinity of Serebrianske forestry, Riznykivka, Spirne, Rozdolivka, Donetsk oblast. The occupiers fired artillery and mortars at around 10 settlements, including Nevske, Bilohorivka, Luhansk oblast,  Torske, Serebrianka, Verkhniokamianske, Spirne, Rozdolivka, Donetsk oblast. 

Towards Bakhmut, the invaders conducted assaults near Bohdanivka, Klischiivka and Andriivka, Donetsk oblast, to no success. The occupiers launched an air strike in the vicinity of Klischiivka. Over 15 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire, including Markove, Bakhmut, Chasiv Yar, Klishchiivka, Kurdyiumivka, New York, Donetsk oblast. 

Towards Avdiivka, the enemy conducted unsuccessful assault operations in the vicinity of Stepove, Avdiivka, Tonenke, Pervomaiske, Donetsk oblast, where the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 13 attacks. They launched more than 10 air strikes in the vicinity of Avdiivka, Donetsk oblast. The enemy fired artillery and mortars at more than 10x settlements, including Ocheretyne, Berdychi, Lastochkyne, Tonenke, Pervomaiske, Netailove, Donetsk oblast.

Towards Mariinka, the enemy conducted unsuccessful assault operations in the vicinity of Mariinka, Donetsk oblast. The Ukrainian defenders repelled 13x attacks in that area. Around 10 settlements of Donetsk oblast, including Nevelske, Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, Mariinka, Pobieda, were under the occupiers’ artillery and mortar fire.

TowardsShakhtarsk, the invaders conducted failed assaults in the vicinity of Staromaiorsk, Donetsk oblast.  They launched an air strike in the vicinity of Rivnopil, Donetsk oblast. Around 10 settlements, including Vodiane, Vuhledar, Bohoyavlenka, Prechystivka, Zolota Nyva, Urozhaine, Donetsk oblast, came under artillery and mortar fire.

Towards Zaporizhzhia, the invaders did not conduct any offensive (assault) actions. Over 15 settlements, including Poltavka, Huliaipole, Charivne, Orikhiv, Mali Shcherbaky, Kamianske, Zaporizhzhia oblast came under artillery and mortar fire.

Towards Kherson, the occupiers launched an air strike in the vicinity of Tiahynka, Kherson oblast). The settlements of Beryslav, Tyahynka, Ivanivka, hKherson oblast and the city of Kherson suffered from the enemy artillery shelling.

At the same time, the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue their offensive operation towards Melitopol and offensive (assault) operations towards Bakhmut, inflicting losses in manpower and equipment on the occupation forces, exhausting the enemy all along the front line.

During the day of November 7, Ukrainian Air Force launched 17 air strikes on the buildup of troops, weapons and military equipment, 4 stations on air defense systems of the occupiers.

The Ukrainian rocket troops and artillery hit 6 artillery systems, 2 command posts, 1 fuel-oil depot, 1x concentration of troops, weapons and military equipment, 1 air defense system, 2 radar stations and 1 electronic warfare station of the russian invaders.

As of the beginning of November 2023, Ukraine has completely restored 421 facilities of medical institutions damaged or destroyed as a result of russian strikes. Another 413 objects were partially restored. During 20 months of the full-scale war, russia damaged 1,468 medical facilities, and 193 were completely destroyed. These are hospitals, dispensaries, polyclinics, maternity homes and other medical facilities. This way, the russian army prevents medics from working and creates an additional burden on the Ukrainian medical system. During the full-scale war, the medical institutions of Kharkiv, Donetsk, Mykolaiv, Kyiv, Chernihiv and Kherson oblasts  suffered the greatest losses. Since the beginning of the war, the russian federation has shelled 103 emergency medical vehicles, destroyed 253 and captured 125.

Ukraine is the first country in the world to investigate war crimes against the environment and ecocide. Currently, 265 proceedings regarding war crimes against the environment are being investigated,14 – according to the facts of ecocide. As a result of the war, over 10 million tons of combustion products entered the atmosphere, 20% of agricultural land was unfit for use, 92 attacks on water infrastructure facilities were documented, among them, the biggest man-made disaster in Europe since Chernobyl,  blowing up of the Kakhovka HPP dam.

Recent war events in the east of Ukraine

Kharkiv oblast

Volodymyr Tymoshko, Kharkiv Police Chief, reported that russian shelling destroyed agricultural machinery and destroyed buildings in Kupiansk region. During the day, law enforcers opened 11 criminal proceedings related to russian war crimes.

According to Kharkiv Regional Military Administration,  42-year-old resident of Rubizhne exploded on a mini Butterfly mine. The man stepped on an explosive object in his yard and was hospitalised with injuries to his arm and leg.

The invaders continue to shell civilian infrastructure of the border settlements of Izium, Chuhuiv, Kharkiv, Bohodukhiv and Kupiansk regions. More than 17 settlements were under enemy artillery and mortar attacks, specifically, Okip of Bohodukhiv region, Hatyshche, Budarky, Okhrymivka of Chuhuiv region, Kamianka, Dvorichna, Synkivka, Petropavlivka, Berestove of Kupiansk region.

The invaders shelled Kupiansk-Vuzlovyi, Kupiansk region, at about 4 pm. A building was destroyed and there was no fire.

Vovchansk city, Chuhuiv region, was shelled at 7:25 pm.

There were no casualties over the day.

Towards Kupiansk, the enemy conducted unsuccessful assault operations near Synkivka and Ivanivka, where Ukrainian defenders repelled about 12 enemy attacks.

Yesterday pyrotechnics of the State Emergency Service examined more than 9.5 hectares of territory and defused 77 explosive ordnance.

Oleh Syniehubov, Head of Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, informed that as of 7 November, 190 children have been evacuated from the dangerous communities of Kupiansk region and the work is ongoing.

Donetsk oblast

Based on the information provided by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, russian troops attempted to storm Marinka and Krasnohorivka more than 25 times on 6 November but were unsuccessful.

Larysa Huseva, Deputy Director of Housing and Communal Department of Donetsk Regional Military Administration, reported that in Donetsk oblast, 187 boiler houses out of 289 are already operating. They are already heating 58 healthcare facilities, 53 educational institutions, 61 kindergartens and 2,285 residential buildings.

Vitalii Barabash, Head of Avdiivka City Military Administration, informed that two doctors and four nurses remain in Avdiivka. They are unable to go on the calls but continue to provide on-site assistance and say that they will stay until the last resident leaves.

Towards Volnovakha, a building was damaged in Novoukrainka of Vuhledar community.

Towards Donetsk, 1 person was killed in Krasnohorivka and the outskirts of Zhelanne Druhe shelled. Avdiivka suffered isolated attacks overnight. Ocheretyne was under artillery attack.

Towards Horlivka, 2 buildings were damaged in Toretsk. Two apartment buildings and 4 private buildings were damaged in Chasiv Yar community.

Towards Lysychansk, a building was damaged in Serebrianka of Siversk community. Torske and Zarichne of Lyman community were targeted.

Ihor Moroz, Acting Head of Donetsk Regional Military Administration, informed that yesterday russians killed 1 civilian in Krasnohorivka. 

Luhansk oblast

The enemy hit Nevske with artillery, causing new destruction. Also russians often hit the houses they had previously destroyed, where everyone had already left. In recent days, the invaders have been storming towards Kupiansk. Specifically, yesterday they tried to attack Stelmakhivka but their attempts were repelled.

Makiivka, Nevske and Bilohorivka were hit by russian artillery and mortars.

According to Luhansk Regional Military Administration, more and more often, elderly people in the occupation complain about russians refusing to recalculate their pensions. Even if it was possible to collect documents that a person worked at an enterprise with hazardous working conditions, they can simply be ignored. Institutions, including archives, and organisations in the so-called ‘LPR’ are also advised not to provide relevant data to people in order to calculate payments based on their overall experience.

Following Sievierodonetsk, Rubizhne and Kreminna are also reducing the amount of humanitarian aid they provide. Starting in November, it will be provided only according to separate lists.

Artem Lysohor, Head of Luhansk Regional Military Administration, reported that Sievierodonetsk and Popasna have the largest number of houses destroyed by russians. More than half of the reports processed by the communities of Luhansk oblast come from these settlements. In total, residents of the region filed 41,802 information reports about damaged/destroyed real estate.

The military administrations of the communities processed 39,269 of these reports. Specifically, Sievierodonetsk  processed 13,911 reports, Popasna – 7,362, Rubizhne – 6,217, Lysychansk – 4,943. Of these, 29,702 were related to the objects in the State Register of Property Damaged and Destroyed as a Result of Hostilities, Terrorist Acts and Sabotage Caused by the Military Aggression of russian federation.

About 10K reports cannot be processed (due to duplication, incorrect data, including addresses, property owners, etc.) A total of 33,731 real estate objects have been entered into the Register.

What is happening now in the north of Ukraine

Kyiv oblast

The Ministry of Culture reported that 10 landmarks of the Revolution of Dignity have been restored in Kyiv. To mark the 10th anniversary of the beginning of the Revolution of Dignity, experts have created three-dimensional models of ten places that are significant for the Revolution. To do this, they digitised 15,000 photographs that captured the events of the Revolution of Dignity in 2013-2014. 

More than 10,000 hectares of agricultural land in the Kyiv oblast need to be demined as a matter of priority. The reconstruction of facilities destroyed as a result of russian aggression and demining were the main topics during a meeting between Ruslan Kravchenko, the head of the Kyiv RMA, and Anica Djamic, the Ambassador of the Republic of Croatia to Ukraine. More than 28,000 objects have been destroyed as a result of russian aggression in the oblast. 13,000 of them have already been fully or partially rebuilt.

According to the Kyiv Patrol Police, residents of the capital continue to find dangerous items on the streets. In Holosiivskyi district, a man reported seeing an object that looked like a grenade. In Sviatoshynskyi district, a citizen found an object similar to a shell while walking. In both cases, the inspectors secured the scene and called explosive experts.

A dual-purpose school shelter with bathrooms and a medical room is being built in Ivankiv, Boryspil district. The protective structure with a total area of 1030 m² will be able to accommodate 305 people. The site has already completed excavation work, reinforced and poured the foundation slab with concrete, and installed a reinforcing steel wall frame. The outer walls are currently being erected.

The reconstruction of destroyed housing in Irpin, near Kyiv, is underway. The overhaul has been funded by the Fund for the Elimination of the Consequences of Armed Aggression since September this year. The reconstruction is scheduled to be completed in the second half of 2024.

Vadym Tokar, head of the Makariv community, reported that they are restoring a destroyed residential building in Makariv for 213 residents. Currently, the builders are carrying out facade works and insulation of the outer walls and the attic.

Anatolii Fedoruk, Mayor of Bucha, reported that Taiwan is helping to renovate the premises of the children’s martial arts school in Bucha. An agreement on such cooperation was signed with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Taiwan to Poland, Sharon S.N. Wu.

American volunteer artists BANDIT, John Ashbaugh and Tristan George have created new murals on damaged buildings in Bucha near Kyiv. One depicts a portrait of a girl who embodies the strength of Ukrainian women during the war, and the other, titled A Matter of Time, shows a Ukrainian soldier on the clockwise hand with his beloved on the minute hand. It was important for the American artists to create memorials in Bucha to support the people of Ukraine and show the world their fight against the aggressor.

Kyrylo Stetsenko, a virtuoso violinist and public figure, People’s Artist of Ukraine, performed a charity concert in Pereyaslav, Kyiv Oblast. The artist said that part of the money raised at the concert would be transferred to his son at the front. The other part will be transferred to Mark Melnyk’s publishing house to print a book, the first copies of which have already been sent to the units of the Ukrainian Defence Forces.

Zhytomyr oblast

In the Zhytomyr Oblast, Territorial Defence soldiers were trained in first aid for the wounded. For five days, instructors taught the military how to rescue a wounded comrade under enemy fire, stop bleeding and take the wounded off the battlefield. The training is conducted in conditions that reflect combat situations as closely as possible, using artificial blood and organising explosions.

Yesterday, an offsite meeting of the Temporary Special Commission of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on the legal status, social support, and medical care of war veterans, servicemen, defenders and their families took place in Zhytomyr. As part of the event, the delegates visited the Zhytomyr Regional Clinical Hospital, where they had the opportunity to personally assess the conditions of treatment of the military.

In Zhytomyr, a farewell ceremony was held for two soldiers who died in the battle for Ukraine – Yevhen Hudukhin and Volodymyr Kytasiuk.

Serhii Sivachenko, a poet and journalist from Khoroshev, Zhytomyr Oblast, presented his new collection of poems on military topics, The Fightback. The presentation of the collection took place in Zhytomyr at the regional library for children and youth, to which the author donated his book.

Sumy oblast

According to the Sumy RMA, in the morning, russians fired a grenade launcher at the Velyka Pysarivka community. There were two explosions.

It is reported that russians fired 16 times at the border areas and settlements of Sumy oblast. There were 140 explosions. The enemy fired mortars in Seredyna-Buda (22 explosions), Esman (2 explosions), Znob-Novhorodske (7 explosions), Putyvl (3 explosions) communities. A civilian was killed as a result of one of the morning shelling. There was also an attack from an automatic grenade launcher (98 explosions). In Bilopillia community, there was a shelling with mounted grenade launcher (6 explosions). The Krasnopillia community was attacked using an FVP drone (1 explosion).

A free course for war-affected people is being launched in Sumy to provide participants with not only theoretical knowledge but also practical skills needed to start and run a sole proprietorship, participate in funding programmes, write and submit grant applications, taxation and keep records of hired employees. Upon completion of the course, participants will receive individual support for submitting a grant application.

The Sumy RMA reported that the regional air defence received another mobile combat unit. Volodymyr Artiukh, Head of the RMA, visited the positions of the defenders.  He reminded that another territorial defence regiment is currently being formed. The personnel of the new formation are residents of Sumy region, called up for mobilisation.

Chernihiv oblast

Serhii Naiev, commander of the Joint Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, reported that russian sabotage and reconnaissance groups are trying to enter the territory of the border districts of Chernihiv and Sumy oblasts nine to ten times a month. 

The State Border Guard Service reported that russians shelled the border of Chernihiv oblast. The Horodnia, Semenivka and Novhorod-Siverskyi communities were shelled.  In Horodnia community, there were 3 explosions towards Senkivka. In Senkivka community, there were 12 explosions towards Karpovychi. 8 explosions towards Bleshnya and 3 explosions towards Leonivka. Novhorod-Siverskyi community had 8 explosions towards Mykhalchyna Sloboda and 6 explosions towards Hremiach.

The Chernihiv Regional Blood Centre reported that Chernihiv residents are urged to come to the blood centre. Currently, there is a need for type I (-) and type II (-) blood.

According to State Emergency Service of Ukraine, the sappers continue to clear the territories of mines, and yesterday they worked on 5 areas in Chernihiv district. Two explosive devices were removed during the work. 

Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine

Dnipropetrovsk oblast

In the evening russians hit civilians in Nikopol with artillery. A 56-year-old man was injured. He was provided with all the necessary help. The injuries are not serious and he will be treated at home. Generally more than half a dozen shells were fired at the city. A religious institution, 7 private houses, 1 farm building, fences, 2 cars, 1 power line and 2 gas pipelines were damaged. Also in the evening the occupiers hit Marganets community of Nikopol district with artillery. At night they attacked Chervonohryhoriv community. 

A dozen shells were fired at neighboring villages. In the afternoon the occupiers struck an infrastructure facility near Kryvyi Rih. People were not injured.

During the day a 31-year-old resident of Nikopol was injured by enemy shelling. Fortunately, the injuries are not serious and she will be treated at home. During the day the occupiers attacked Nikopol district 6 times. Shelled 3 times with artillery, used 3 kamikaze drones. They bombarded Nikopol and Marganets community.

As a result of the shelling an infrastructure object, 27 private houses, 14 farm buildings, 1 truck, 1 passenger car, 2 gas pipelines, a power transmission line and half a dozen solar panels were damaged.

In one of Dnipro city hospitals defenders who received combat injuries are undergoing rehabilitation. They are being helped to restore the function of their legs and arms and are taught to walk on prostheses. In such centers throughout Ukraine trainings on the rehabilitation of war injuries are held for doctors so thus they master modern methods. Modern evidence-based rehabilitation in Ukraine is only developing. Currently soldiers can undergo inpatient rehabilitation in more than 200 hospitals in Ukraine.

Vinnytsia oblast

In Vinnytsia schools the city council repaired and equipped all existing basement and semi-basement rooms. The Department of Capital Construction carried out a major overhaul of 24 storage facilities in the educational institutions of community. Ongoing repair of basements and their adaptation to the simplest shelters was carried out in six schools. All works were carried out at city budget expense. In three institutions of general secondary education the simplest shelter were arranged by their own efforts and in Physics and Mathematics Lyceum No. 17 a charitable organization helped. Also in educational institutions where it is not possible to arrange a shelter a memorandum on the use of rooms where there is a shelter were concluded with legal entities of various ownership forms. This way chose 10 of schools that concluded 25 memorandums. 

The city council reported that Vinnytsia Lyceum No. 1 named after M. Pyrohov sent a SUV to strengthen the combat capability of Intelligence of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The funds were collected owing to the Educational family: We help – We win charitable project. Due to the holding of festivals and fairs a total of 176,000 UAH were collected.

Kirovohrad oblast

Implementation of the scale Side by Side project for the restoration of de-occupied settlements of Kherson oblast is ongoing. In Mala Oleksandrivka construction crews from 4 districts of Kirovohrad region have completed the restoration of houses and its residents have returned home. Another home is in progress. Repairs there will be completed in the coming days. The initial stage of project’s second phase has been completed. Specialists examined about 250 houses in 11 villages of Beryslav district. They have determined the level of damage to each building and are preparing an electronic database of objects to be restored.

Poltava oblast

Defender Andrii Kykot from Dykan community of Poltava oblast was killed on November 4, while performing a combat mission near Novokalynove village of Donetsk oblast. 

Oleksandr Vasetskyi from Khorol community was killed during a combat mission near Pavlivka village of Donetsk oblast on November 1.

 Oleh Pavlenko from Globyn community was killed on October 31, while performing a combat mission in Avdiivka, Donetsk oblast.

Cherkasy oblast

Senior soldier Dmytro Nabatov was buried in Korsun-Shevchenkivskyi, Cherkasy oblast. Dmytro moved his family on the third day of the full-scale invasion from Bucha to Korsun-Shevchenkivskyi and joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine as a volunteered. Defender was killed on October 11, 2023 while performing a combat mission in Zaporizhzhia direction.

Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine

Zaporizhzhia oblast

The press service of the Berdiansk border guard detachment reported that border guards shot down four russian FPV drones in the Zaporizhzhia oblast. 

Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration reported that the russian army struck 124 towns and villages in Zaporizhzhia oblast on  November 6. 102 artillery attacks took place in Orikhiv, Gulyaypole, Robotyne, Novoandriivka, Poltavka, Bilohirya, Verkhnya Tersa, Zatyshshya, Pyatikhatky, Lobkove, Plavni, Kamianske and other frontline towns and villages. There were no casualties. 

Dmytro Orlov, Mayor of Enerhodar, reported that the russian military has increased pressure on Ukrainian employees of Zaporizhzhya NPP who have not signed contracts with rosatom. They are threatened that from  January 1, 2024, they will not be allowed to enter the plant without russian documents and signed contracts. 

Mykolaiv oblast

A ceremony to commemorate the pilots of the 299th Tactical Aviation Brigade named after Lieutenant General Vasyl Nikiforov who died in the russian-Ukrainian war was held in Mykolaiv. According to American tradition, a piano was burned on the runway to commemorate the moment. The names and call signs of the fallen pilots were written on the piano, and it was set on fire at dusk. During this ceremony, music was played by Vladimir Alekseev, Maestro of the Performance BIG BAND, and it continued to sound even after the piano was engulfed in flames. This unique ritual was held in memory of the heroes whose names will forever remain in the sky.

The State Ecological Inspectorate of the South-Western District continues to calculate the environmental damage caused to the Mykolaiv and Odesa oblasts. As of November 7, this amount is UAH 120.8 billion. Mined areas, toxic residues from rockets and shells, flooding from damming, destroyed nature reserves and natural environments – today we are witnessing a humanitarian catastrophe unfolding as a result of the war. The damage to the environment will affect ecosystems and natural resources for a long time to come, and it goes beyond the borders of national territories and the lifespan of a single generation.

Odesa oblast

According to Ukrainian Navy, as of  November 7, there are four russian ships on combat duty in the Black Sea and one enemy ship in the Sea of Azov. 

In Odesa, developers Konstantin and Maxim Boryak modified special protective “invisibility cloaks” for the military. They block heat radiation, make soldiers invisible, and protect them from fire, rain and sleet. The material for the cloak is ordered abroad, and one such cloak weighs up to two and a half kilograms. Currently, Maksym and Kostyantyn are waiting for feedback from the soldiers who are already using the cloaks at the front line.

Kherson oblast

Kherson Regional Military Administration reported that at night and in the morning of November 7, the russian army shelled residential areas of the Kherson city community several times. 

Southern Defence Forces said that  on November 7, the Ukrainian military destroyed an Osa anti-aircraft missile system, an artillery unit, a Grad multiple rocket launcher, six guns, an electronic warfare station, five cars and a drone.

Oleksandr Prokudin, Head of Kherson Regional Military Administration, reported that on November 6, the russian troops fired 84 times at Kherson oblast. They hit a medical facility in Kherson, a food industry enterprise in Kherson region and residential areas in the oblast. Six people were injured. 

According to Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, in the temporarily occupied territories of Kherson region, the russian military is mining stationary gas regulating stations, power substations and critical infrastructure facilities. Such actions of the occupiers indicate their probable intention to destroy critical infrastructure when they have to retreat. 

Kherson hospital received medical equipment from philanthropists: a medical device – an ophthalmic surgical microscope and the necessary humanitarian aid for patients. The assistance was made possible by Keski-Suomen Silmäkirurgia OY, Olavi Pärssinen and Timo Kalima (Finland).

Volyn oblast

Zakarpattia oblast

Thousands of local residents in various cities of Zakarpattia oblast lit memorial candles to honor the fallen heroes of the 128th Separate Mountain Assault Brigade. In the central square of Uzhhorod, representatives of the authorities, together with the community, clergy, families of defenders and students, prayed for the fallen Heroes and for those soldiers who are now at the front.

Ivano-Frankivsk oblast

The oblast sent 30 Motorola radio stations with a total cost of UAH 1,65 mln to the National Guard thanks to regional military support programs. In total, UAH 110 mln was allocated for the implementation of these programs this year.

Lviv oblast

Andrii Sadovyi, Lviv Mayor, during his visit to Seoul, signed a memorandum with the Korean Land and Housing Corporation. The memorandum should strengthen cooperation between Lviv community and the Republic of Korea in reconstruction and development of the city.

The RMA reported that Andrii Holyk, soldier from the village of Yampil, was awarded with the Golden Cross badge of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Novoyavorivsk hospital named after Yurii Lypa received 15 orthopedic mattresses for multifunctional beds, hygiene products, medicines, etc from the Huddersfield Humanitarian Aid for Ukraine British public organization and Tim Marsden.

Lviv oblast sent 146 drones to soldiers of the 24th separate mechanized brigades named after King Danylo, the 87th separate air mobile battalions, the 80th separate airborne assault brigades, the 77th separate air mobile, the 3th assault brigades and the Main Intelligence Directorate thanks to the Birds of Victory charity project. Over 1,6K drones have already been sent thanks to this charity initiative.

The 103th separate territorial defense brigade received a mobile bath and laundry complex worth about UAH 1,5 mln thanks to the Lviv RMM, the command of the Territorial Defense Forces and the Together for Ukraine CF.

Rivne oblast

In Rivne oblast, Centers for the Provision of Administrative Services will create a One Window for war veterans. The relevant Memorandum was signed by representatives of the Ministry of Veterans Affairs, RMAs and community leaders. It is assumed that the one-stop service will create conditions for providing high-quality administrative services to war veterans, their family members, and family members of fallen (deceased) Defenders of Ukraine.

Ternopil oblast

Ternopil oblast is 100% ready for the autumn-winter period of 2023/24. In 51 communities, a decision was made to start the heating period, 1 010 (86,1%) boiler houses are in operation. In Ternopil, municipal workers, police, rescuers, representatives of condominiums and managers conduct training on preparing the population and relevant services for possible emergency situations.

Khmelnytskyi oblast

In Khmelnytskyi, the training of high school students and students of vocational and technical education continues in the multimedia shooting range of the educational and training center. By May, all high school students of the community will complete the course. Currently, instructors are practicing with them shooting a machine gun and a pistol, as well as practicing providing tactical first aid.

Chernivtsi oblast

Chernivtsi military medics and soldiers who defend Ukraine in the Orihiv, Mariinskyi, Bakhmut and Lymano-Kupian directions were visited by volunteers and representatives of the Department of Health of Chernivtsi oblast. Medicines, medical products, dishes, homemade goodies, clothes and underwear for the soldiers being treated in the hospital were brought to the stabilization medical center and the front-line hospital.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President of Ukraine, announced that additional NASAMS systems from partners were put on combat duty. “Timely reinforcement of our air defense before winter,” he added.

Herman Halushchenko, Minister of Energy of Ukraine, reported that the total volume of donors’ obligations for contributions to the Energy Support Fund of Ukraine reached over €322 mln. Of these, €192 mln was actually transferred to the Fund’s account.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President of Ukraine, had a phone conversation with Julius Maada Bio, President of Sierra Leone. They discussed the Ukrainian Peace Formula, the successful meeting of advisers in Malta, and the consolidation of support for the Ukrainian vision of peace among African countries, including on regional platforms.

Denys Shmyhal, Prime Minister of Ukraine, met with Oleksandr Soros, Head of the Open Society Foundations CF, and his team. They discussed reconstruction and recovery of Ukraine’s economy.

The European Commission believes that Ukraine has fulfilled 4 out of 7 criteria of a candidate for joining the EU.

Annalena Burbock, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Germany, stated that the G7 countries will discuss further support for Ukraine at a meeting in Tokyo. “Ukraine is and remains at the top of the G7 agenda. There is an incredible amount at stake for us in Europe, as well as for the G7 in general: if we breathe our last breath in support of Ukraine now, putin will ruthlessly take advantage of this – with dire consequences for the people of Ukraine and Europe “, Burbok said.

“Ukraine’s allies must firmly support Kyiv, otherwise they risk encouraging populist forces in Europe with the victory of vladimir putin,” said Marcel Colacu, Romanian Prime Minister. According to him, Romania will continue to provide support to Ukraine despite the conflict in the Middle East, because, according to Colak, it will be resolved faster than the war in Ukraine.

American surgeons operate on 50 children in Lviv. Patients came from all over Ukraine. Some of the children were injured as a result of military operations. The smallest patient is only 8 months old.
