It has been the 623th day of the Ukrainian resistance to the russian military aggression.

What happened in Ukraine today:

Here is operational information of the General Staff as of 6 pm:   

On November 8, there were 57 combat clashes. The enemy launched a total of 2 missile and 30 air strikes, 59 MLRS attacks at the positions of Ukrainian troops and peaceful settlements. Unfortunately, the attacks caused casualties among civilians. Private residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure were destroyed or damaged. The russian federation carried out yet another attack on Ukraine with a Kh-31 guided missile, targeting a civilian vessel.

The operational situation in east and south of Ukraine remains difficult.

Towards Volyn and Polissia, there were no significant changes. No signs of formation of an offensive group are noticed. Certain units of the armed forces of belarus continue their missions in the areas bordering Ukraine.

Towards Siversk and Sloboda, the russian army maintains its military presence in the areas of russia bordering Ukraine. The enemy continues its sabotage and reconnaissance activities, shelling Ukrainian settlements from the territory of russia and increases the density of minefields along the state border of Ukraine. Around 20 settlements came under enemy artillery and mortar fire, including Medvedivka, Sen’kivka (Chernihiv oblast), Turiia, Pavlivka, Iskryskivshchyna (Sumy oblast), Kozacha Lopan, Vovchansk, and Veterynarne (Kharkiv oblast).

Towards Kupiansk, the enemy conducted unsuccessful assault operations near Synkivka (Kharkiv oblast). The Ukrainian defenders repelled 6 attacks in the area. The invaders fired artillery and mortars at around 10 settlements, including Dvorichna, Synkivka, Petropavlivka, Ivanivka, and Berestove (Kharkiv oblast).

Towards Lyman, the enemy conducted failed assaults near Novoiehorivka (Luhansk oblast). The invaders launched an airstrike in the vicinity of Spirne (Donetsk oblast). The occupiers fired artillery and mortars at around 10 settlements, including Nevske, Bilohorivka (Luhansk oblast), and Torske, Verkhnekamianske, Spirne, and Rozdolivka (Donetsk oblast).

Towards Bakhmut, Ukrainian defenders repelled 22 enemy attacks in the vicinities of Khromove, Ivanivske, Klishchiivka and Andriivka (Donetsk oblast). The occupiers launched an airstrike in the vicinity of Andriivka. More than 10 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire, including Markove, Mykolaiivka, Klishchiivka, Kurdiumivka, Niu York (Donetsk oblast).

Towards Avdiivka, the enemy conducted unsuccessful assault operations with air support in the vicinities of Keramik, Stepove, Avdiivka, and Pervomaiske (Donetsk oblast), where Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 11 attacks. The russian army launched airstrikes in the vicinities of Novokalynove, Novobakhmutivka, and Avdiivka (Donetsk oblast). The enemy fired artillery and mortars at around 10 settlements, including Berdychi, Stepove, Pervomaiske, and Netailove (Donetsk oblast).

Towards Marinka, the russian army conducted unsuccessful assault operations with air support in the vicinities of Marinka and Novomykhailivka (Donetsk oblast). The occupiers launched airstrikes near Oleksandropil and Novomykhailivka (Donetsk oblast). Around 10 settlements of Donetsk oblast, including Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, Marinka, Pobieda, were under artillery and mortar fire.

Towards Shakhtarske, the invaders conducted assaults with air support in the vicinity of Staromaiorske and south of Prechystivka (Donetsk oblast), yet to no success. Around 10 settlements, including Vodiane, Vuhledar, Novoukrainka, and Urozhaine (Donetsk oblast), came under artillery and mortar fire.

Towards Zaporizhzhia, the invaders did not conduct any offensive (assault) actions. The occupiers launched airstrikes near Vesele and Mala Tokmachka (Zaporizhzhia oblast). More than 20 settlements, including Malynivka, Huliaipole, Bilohiria, Robotyne, Mali Shcherbaky, and Piatykhatky (Zaporizhzhia oblast), came under artillery and mortar fire.

Towards Kherson, the settlement of Novoberyslav (Kherson oblast), the city of Kherson and the settlement of Solonchaky (Mykolaiv oblast) suffered from enemy artillery shelling.

At the same time, Ukrainian Defense Forces continue their offensive operation towards Melitopol and offensive (assault) operations towards Bakhmut, inflicting losses in manpower and equipment on occupation forces and exhausting the enemy all along the front line.

The Ukrainian Air Force launched 6 airstrikes on buildups of enemy troops, weapons and military equipment, and 3 strikes on air defense systems of the occupiers.

The Ukrainian rocket troops hit 8 artillery systems, 2 ammunition depots, 4 buildups of enemy troops, weapons and military equipment, 3 air defense systems, a radar station, 3 electronic warfare stations and another vital target of russian invaders.


The Parliament approves a draft law on military personal income tax. This year and next year, the draft law 10037 will provide UAH 214.7 billion for military expenditures in the general budget. From October 1 to December 31, 2023, the “military personal income tax” is allocated to the state budget in a 50%-50% ratio, to the SSSI for drones (UAH 13 billion) and to the Ministry of Defense for the purchase of artillery systems (UAH 13 billion). 

Vitalii Barabash, Head of Avdiivka CMA, reports that the last 16 employees of the Avdiivka Coke Plant, who were responsible for its preservation, were evacuated. Another 17 residents remain in the only surviving shelter of the enterprise and refuse to evacuate. 

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy says that the first group of 43 Ukrainian citizens was evacuated from Gaza. Now all the rescued Ukrainians are in Egypt. Ukraine also helped evacuate 36 Moldovan citizens. The evacuation continues. 

Recent war events in the east of Ukraine

Упродовж доби на Лимано-Куп’янському напрямку ліквідовані 112 російських військових та знищені 48 одиниць техніки рф у дев’яти боях, –  повідомив начальник служби зв’язків з громадськістю командування сухопутних військ Володимир Фітьо. Російські війська 7 листопада 703 рази обстріляли Лимано-Куп’янський напрямок й завдали 13 авіаційних ударів, а також дев’ять разів використовували дрони-камікадзе.

Kharkiv oblast

Towards Kupiansk, the enemy conducted unsuccessful assaults near Synkivka, Ivanivka and Berestove, where Ukrainian defenders repelled 6 enemy attacks.

Towards Slobozhanske, more than 20 settlements were under enemy artillery and mortar attacks, specifically: Dvorichna, Synkivka, Petropavlivka, Ivanivka, Berestove of Kupiansk region, Vovchansk of Chuhuiv region.

The enemy actively launched air strikes on Petropavlivka, Ivanivka, Pishchane of Kupiansk region and Stepove of Izium region.

The enemy intensively shelled Kupiansk-Vuzlovyi throughout the day. At about

11:30 am there was an enemy shellingwith Uragan MRLs, as a result of which a civilian man born in 1966 was killed.

In Rubizhne village of Chuhuiv region, a 42-year-old owner of a household sustained shrapnel wounds to his right limb as a result of the explosion of a dangerous object. He was hospitalised.

Yesterday pyrotechnics of the State Emergency Service examined more than 11.87 hectares of territory and defused 1193 explosive ordnance.

In Kharkiv oblast, farmers have harvested grain and legumes on 77% of the area and produced over 1 million 756 tonnes of grain. According to RMA, about 159K hectares of agricultural land in Kharkiv oblast need to be inspected and, if necessary, demined.

Konstiantyn Tarasov, Deputy Head of Kupiansk Police Department, reported that the police officers, whose car was hit by a russian drone near Dvorichna, were able to complete the task for which they went to the village. Also russian drone hit the car with three law enforcers inside, they were injured. And russian troops are monitoring the movement in the area, trying to hit any living targets. The most dangerous area for police and other workers is Kupiansk region due to the intensity of russian shelling.

On 31 October, the bodies of 153 people, who were buried in mass graves without coffins at the beginning of the invasion of Ukraine, were reburied at Kharkiv cemetery No. 18. Ihor Liakhov, Director of the Ritual municipal enterprise, said that another 1,182 remains are to be reburied.

Donetsk oblast

According to Donetsk Regional Prosecutor’s Office, russian troops shelled Rai Oleksandrivka, Chasiv Yar and Pivnichne. Two women were killed and a man injured.

Donetsk Regional Military Administration reported that towards Volnovakha, 3 people were killed and 10 buildings damaged in Bahytyr of Velyka Novosilka community.

Towards Donetsk, Krasnohorivka and Novomykhailivka of Marinka community, Berdychi, Stepove and Novokalynove of Ocheretyne community were shelled. Avdiivka suffered 4 air strikes the day before and in the morning was shelled with artillery, hitting two streets. A building in Halytsynivka and 6 buildings in Lysivka of Novohrodivka community were damaged. In Kurakhove community, Kurakhove, Trudove, Hanivka and Veselyi Hai were attacked.

Towards Horlivka, 4 private buildings, an apartment building and an outbuilding were damaged in Chasiv Yar community. 3 buildings were damaged in Toretsk community: 2 in Toretsk and 1 in Zalizne. 10 buildings were damaged in Nykyforivka of Soledar community.

Towards Lysychansk, 3 streets of Siversk were shelled and Lyman community attacked 4 times.

The press service of Donetsk police confimed that the White Angels crew of Donetsk police evacuated all 15 children who remained in Ocheretyne and two villages of Marinka community: Yelyzavetivka and Katerynivka. Every day, police officers deliver humanitarian aid to families who remain in the frontline villages and encourage them to leave. In this way, White Angels saved 126 children in Donetsk oblast.

The last to agree to evacuate was a family with two school students. The parents said they were used to living in a war zone. Before the evacuation, the children had a tour of their school, which had been damaged by the enemy. The family took their pets, a couple of parrots, with them.  Now they will live in safety in Vinnytsia oblast.

The Regional Prosecutor’s Office informed that since the start of the full-scale invasion, law enforcers have investigated more than 11K criminal crimes committed in the temporarily occupied territory of Donetsk oblast.

The Ministry of Reintegration said that a minor, Bohdan Yermokhin, who was taken by russian troops from Mariupol to russia, was issued a summons in Moscow region. On 29 November, the boy will turn 18 and is likely to be sent to fight against Ukraine.

Luhansk oblast

According to Luhansk Regional Military Administration, the average number of hostile attacks per day is not decreasing. Yesterday russians tried to advance in Serebrianka forestry, where they were once again stopped by our defenders. The enemy attacked Nadiia and Serebrianka forestry from the air. Bilohorivka and Nevske were targeted again.

280 loaves of bread were delivered to the residents of Nevske and the villages around it.

From now on russians practise unannounced checks of children’s phones in Alchevsk. The so-called representatives of law enforcement agencies of the ‘lpr’ come to a chosen educational institution without warning and collect devices from teachers and students. They check for content banned in the occupation and suspicious dialogues on social media. The raids take place in the absence of parents or legal guardians.

Prices for food and basic necessities, which are formed spontaneously in the so-called “lpr”, vary from city to city and are much higher than in russia.

Drivers offer any price for taxis between the cities occupied last year, especially where there is no regular transport. In Luhansk, calling a car costs twice as much as in the regional centres of russia.

What is happening now in the north of Ukraine

Kyiv oblast

Pete Buttidge, Minister of Transport of the United States of America, arrived in Kyiv with an unannounced visit. He discussed restoration of Ukraine’s infrastructure and development of transport opportunities for the export of Ukrainian goods with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy . They also talked about the prospects of establishing joint production in the field of the defense-industrial complex.

Kyiv RMA reports that the restoration process of 4 apartment buildings in the villages of Dmytrivka and Buzova in Bucha region is being inspected. All objects are being rebuilt at the expense of the Fund for Eliminating Armed Aggression Consequences. The commission includes law enforcement officers, technical supervision, representatives of specialized departments of the regional military administration, State Labor, the Supervisory Council on Reconstruction at KOVA, DTEK, etc. The public, residents, and media representatives are also invited to participate in the inspections.

An anti-radiation shelter is being built on the territory of the Ivankiv Lyceum in Boryspil region to provide shift training in an intramural format. About 400 students study at the lyceum, there are clubs and sports sections that are attended not only by lyceum students, but by all the children of the community. Now there is no shelter in the institution, and students use a shelter nearby.

At the training ground in Obukhiv region, rescuers were trained to conduct search and rescue operations in city conditions. During the training, they got acquainted with main stages and methods of emergency rescue operations in accordance with INSARAG standards, namely technical search during search and rescue operations in urban conditions, support and fortification, penetration and dismantling, rescue from a trench, work in limited and closed space, lifting and moving loads, practical use of a plasma cutter.

Ruslan Kravchenko, Head of Kyiv RMA, took part in the presentation of the Kateryna Osadcha Foundation, which focuses on helping children who have been left without parents and searching for missing civilians. According to him, 12 family-type houses and 13 foster families have moved to the oblast since the beginning of the war. Today, there are 59 family-type children’s houses in Kyiv oblast. The involvement of philanthropists in the construction of housing for foster families continues, and one such house is already being built in Myronivka.

Kyiv RMA reported that since the beginning of the year, 3 K internally displaced people have used the services of Kyiv Regional Employment Service. Almost 800 unemployed IDPs have been employed during this year. 128 IDPs received a voucher to acquire a new profession or improve their qualifications. 53 forced migrants received micro-grants for starting or relocating their own business.

The presentation of the book “Fragments of Ukrainian Invincibility” by Pavlo Smovzh, Ukrainian journalist and editor-in-chief of the Ivankiv newspaper, was held in Kyiv. The event took place in Kyiv press club of the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine.

Zhytomyr oblast

In the village of Kirdany, the lyceum damaged by a russian airstrike in March 2022 will be overhauled. The explosion destroyed windows, doors and interior decoration. The restoration lyceum is monitored by the working group from Transparency and Accountability, which ensures a transparent process of using funds and a high level of trust on the part of the community. The Department of Regional Development of Zhytomyr oblast purchased the necessary materials to replace all damaged windows.

Zhytomyr RMA reports that strengthening of the anti-aircraft defense of the oblast continues. With the support of Belgium and Britain, two pickup trucks were handed over to one of the air defense units to perform the tasks of detecting and destroying russian kamikaze drones. The vehicles were delivered to Zhytomyr by guys from the Unity of Ukraine foundation.

In the village of Khoroshiv, a charity fair was held in support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and more than UAH 47 K was collected. At the fair, organized by the editorial team of the Prapor newspaper, residents could eat delicious food, have fun with animators, take a photo or selfie in the thematic photo zone, collect a food parcel for the soldiers, write a letter, and paint a wooden toy or a shopper.

Sumy oblast

 Sumy RMA reported that at night, the russians shelled Yunakivka community with MLRS, there were 11 explosions.

The commander of the United Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Serhiy Naiev announced that a mobile fire group near Sumy, using a portable Stinger air defense system destroyed a guided air missile launched by russians from a Su-34 fighter jet at night. According to him, the missile was launched from a distance of 70 kilometers from the state border of Ukraine.

There were 26 shelling attacks on the border territories of Sumy oblast. As reported by Sumy RMA, there were 108 hits from mortars, barrel artillery, tanks and VOGs dropped from UAVs. Bilopillia, Krasnopillia, Yunakivka, Velyka Pysarivka, and Seredina-Buda communities came under shelling.

During the liquidation of a fire caused by an enemy attack on November 7, firefighters came under repeated enemy shelling in one of the settlements of Shostka region. Employees of the State Emergency Service were forced to evacuate urgently. After the attack was over, they returned and finally put out the fire in the residential sector.

Curfew hours have been changed in Sumy oblast. The relevant order was signed by the head of the regional military administration, Volodymyr Artyukh. The curfew will last from 23:00 to 05:00. Citizens are prohibited from being on the streets and other public places without specially issued passes during the set period of the day. vehicle movement is also prohibited.

Sumy RMA reports that 60 large-scale projects are being implemented in the oblast  due to the Fund of restoration and liquidation of aggression consequences. Budgetary funds were additionally allocated for the capital repair of Romny Secondary School No. 5 and the central regional hospital.

Chernihiv oblast

SBGS reported that russians shelled the border of Chernihiv oblast eight times from their territory, there were 84 explosions. In Novhorod-Siverskyi community, the enemy made 4 hits from a tank, Semenivka community was under mortar fire – 44 hits, the Horodnyanka community suffered 26 hits from AGS and mortars.

The Commander of the Armed Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Serhii Naiev reports that from nine to ten times a month, russian sabotage and intelligence groups try to enter the territory of Sumy and Chernihiv oblasts bordering the russian federation. Their goal is to conduct reconnaissance of our positions, damage military and civilian objects. According to him, these are professionally trained servicemen of special operations forces and the main intelligence department of the russian General Staff.

Chernihiv RMA reports that the other day, with the support of the United24 global initiative and Metinvest, a socially responsible business, Chernihiv Mine Action Center was significantly strengthened. Currently, more than 41,000 hectares have been demined in the oblast, and more than 63,000 explosive objects have been defused. 

Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine

Dnipropetrovsk oblast

During the night, the enemy hit Nikopol region twice. They shelled Marhanets and Chervonohryhorivka communities with artillery, where almost a dozen shells were fired. There were no casualties or damage.

During the day a truck driver from Zaporizhzhia oblast got under the enemy fire  when the occupiers fired artillery at Myrove community of Nikopol district. The 39-year-old man was not seriously injured and will be treated at home. 

During the day the enemy used 4 kamikaze drones and shelled Nikopol from artillery 4 times. About three and a half dozen shells were fired. In Nikopol, a state institution, a private company, 12 private houses, 10 farm buildings, 3 power lines and 2 cars were damaged. As a result of the shelling, 2 residential buildings, 3 farm buildings, a truck and a power line were damaged in Myrove and Chervonohryhorivka communities.

Vinnytsia oblast

In general secondary education institutions of Vinnytsia community, 34 shelters have been repaired and equipped and six more anti-radiation shelters are being repaired. Major repairs include concreting of the floor, relocation of engineering networks, furnishing of walls and ceilings, arrangement of bathrooms, installation of a lighting system with emergency power, installation of a ventilation system and a power grid for connecting generators. In Vinnytsia schools all existing basement and semi-basement rooms were renovated and adapted. Current works include all repair works that do not change the structure of the building. They plan to start the works in the basement in Mali Krushlyntsi village, which will be used by lyceum students. In addition the construction of anti-radiation shelters continues in the community.

Kirovohrad oblast

5 out of 7  Verkhovna Rada deputies representing Kirovohrad oblast voted for the bill, according to which the personal income tax will be allocated from the local budgets for the needs of the army.

Poltava oblast

Myrhorod City Council reports that residents of Myrhorod community whose houses were damaged after russian shelling will receive financial assistance. 1.7 million UAH was allocated from the community budget. As a result of shelling one of the buildings was completely destroyed, and two more damaged. People will also receive material assistance in the amount of over 1 million UAH from Poltava oblast budget.  Of these, 589,000 will be paid to a woman whose house was completely destroyed.

Cherkasy oblast

Cherkasy residents whose homes were damaged by russian missile on September 21 were compensated. This is more than a million UAH for 73 people. In total, the city council received 140 applications, and documents for financial assistance will be accepted until December 1, 2023.

Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine

Zaporizhzhia oblast

On November 7, the enemy launched 157 strikes on 25 settlements in Zaporizhzhia oblast. Novoandriivka, Malynivka, Bilohiria, Poltavka, Levadne, Verkhnia Tersa, Stepove, Plavni, Stepnohirsk, Kamianske, Piatyhatky, and other front-line cities and villages endured 127 artillery shelling attacks. The enemy carried out 4 MLRS strikes on Robotyne and Mala Tokmachka, 2 missile strikes on Vilnoandriivka, 22 UAV attacks on Huliaipole, Zaliznychne, Novodanylivka, Novodarivka, Charivne, Levadne, Temyrivka, Novoivanivka, and Mali Shcherbaky, as well as two airstrikes with aviation bombs on Orikhiv. As a result of the artillery strike on Verkhnia Tersa, local residents, two men aged 27 and 54, were wounded and taken to a medical facility. There have been 22 reports of residential building and infrastructure damage.

Soldiers from the 14th Assault Brigade Chervona Kalyna destroyed a position towards Zaporizhzhia, where russian troops were entrenched. 

It is reported that russian occupiers are collecting information about deceased Ukrainian citizens who own real estate in the temporarily occupied town of Tokmak to make fictitious re-registration of property rights and later steal and resell it. Additionally, russian terrorists are using stolen homes as their hideouts.

The General Staff reports that russians are attempting to issue passports to all residents of temporarily occupied territories by the start of the new year. People who refuse to receive the documents from the russian federation are restricted from medical services and have their property confiscated.

National Police in Zaporizhzhia oblast reports that llaw enforcement officers evacuated a woman in need of medical assistance from the village of Shyroke in Zaporizhzhia oblast. 

14 communities of Zaporizhzhia oblast received laptops, printers, scanners, projectors, and multifunction devices from the USAID project “Democratic Governance in Eastern Ukraine.” This equipment will enhance technical capabilities of government bodies to provide quality services to the population.

Mykolaiv oblast

Mykolaiv RMA informs that on November 7, at 07:05 and 20:31, the enemy shelled was the waters of Ochakiv community. There were no casualties. At 21:29 the same day and on November 8 at 06:06, the coastline of Kutsurub community was subjected to artillery fire, with no reported casualties.

Police of Mykolaiv oblast reports since the start of the full-scale invasion, explosive ordnance disposal teams have conducted nearly 2K missions and cleared over a thousand hectares of the occupied territory. They have also eliminated over 8K unexploded ordnance, mines, rockets, hand grenades, artillery ammunition, grenade launcher rounds, anti-personnel and anti-tank mines, aerial bombs, and approximately 2.5 tons of explosive materials. Most of the neutralized items are extremely hazardous.

Odesa oblast

It is reported that the russian army launched an attack with an anti-radiation missile X-31P against a civilian ship flying the flag of Liberia, which had entered one of the ports in Odesa oblast. Three crew members, who are citizens of the Philippines, were wounded, and one of them hospitalized. The pilot was killed, and another port worker was injured as confirmed by the South Operational Command.

Experts have assessed the damage caused by the russian shelling to the port infrastructure in Odesa oblast during the night of October 7. At that time, the russians targeted Odesa oblast with supersonic anti-ship missiles of the Onix type. The debris and the explosive wave resulted in a fire in a garage cooperative, and several multi-story buildings were damaged. Experts surveyed the attack site to document and calculate the environmental damage. They found that land plots were contaminated with construction debris and metal structures covering an area of over 4K square meters. The total damage was estimated at over UAH 143.7 million.

Kherson oblast

The russian army shelled Dniprovskyi district in Kherson from the temporarily occupied left bank. As a result of the shelling, a 56-year-old man in Kherson was injured.

Additionally, the russians launched several drone attacks on Novoberyslav. The explosion damaged the Invincibility Centre and a postal vehicle.

On November 8, the enemy conducted 108 shelling attacks, firing 538 projectiles from mortars, artillery, Grad MLRSs, tanks, UAVs, and aircraft. 16 shells were fired on the city of Kherson. One person was killed, and another one injured.

The police opened 14 criminal cases related to war crimes committed by the russian army in Kherson oblast. Occupiers launched strikes on Tiahynka from aircraft. The russian military dropped ordnance from a drone onto a residential neighbourhood in Beryslav, resulting in a 45-year-old man being injured. On the night of November 7, a 49-year-old resident of Urozhaine passed away in the hospital. She had sustained serious injuries on November 3 during the russian shelling.

A 41-year-old tractor driver was blown up on an enemy explosive device in a field near Kamianka. He succumbed to his injuries, and the tractor was completely destroyed, causing a crater at the explosion site.

A person was injured in Shyrokа Bаlka due to a mine left by russians. A 41-year-old man encountered the explosive device while grazing cattle. He suffered injuries from the detonation and leg fractures.

The southern defense forces continue to carry out their fire tasks. Yesterday, Ukrainian defenders eliminated 29 occupiers, 1 tank, 1 Multiple Launch Rocket System, 5 howitzers, 1 self-propelled artillery unit Akatsiya, 2 radio-electronic warfare stations – “Pole-21” and “Leer-2,” 10 armoured vehicles, 2 reconnaissance UAVs of the Orlan-10 and “Orlan-30” types, 1 UAV launching system ZALA, 2 FPV drones, and 1 video surveillance system Murom-M. A field supply point and an observation post were destroyed.

According to the Institute for the Study of War (ISW), Ukrainian forces have moved additional personnel and material resources to positions on the left bank. ISW experts believe that it is likely that on October 17 and 18, Ukrainian forces launched an initial assault across the Dnipro River to the left bank of Kherson oblast. It is likely that the Armed Forces of Ukraine are holding positions in the center of Krynky and adjacent areas.

In the temporarily occupied part of Kherson oblast the russian federal security service kidnapped Khali Kurtamet, a resident of Novooleksiivka, accusing him of alleged involvement in the “Noman Çelebicihan Crimean Tatar Battalion,” which the russians consider an “extremist organization.” A criminal case has been initiated against Kurtamet for his supposed “participation in an illegal armed formation.” Kurtamet is in custody and faces up to 15 years in prison.

Recently, residents of the Novooleksandrivka community received aid as part of the “Decentralization Brings Better Results and Efficiency” (DOBRE) initiative. Twenty water containers and electrical tools were provided for the people’s needs, and over 2 kilometers of plastic pipes were sent to restore water supply in the villages.

Volyn oblast

Ihor Polishchuk, Lutsk Mayor, met with family members of military personnel who gave their lives defending Ukraine from russian invaders. Together with representatives of the Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support, he presented state awards to them.

Zakarpattia oblast

For over 2 months, the Council on IDPs issues has been functioning at Zakarpattia RMA. Now its primary task is to assess the needs of IDPs living in the oblast.

Ivano-Frankivsk oblast

Ruslan Martsinkiv, Mayor of Ivano-Frankivsk, reported that the community handed over two quadcopters for the 93rd separate mechanized brigade Kholodnyi Yar.

Hygiene kits were donated to educational institutions in each community, hub schools and institutions with a large number of children, as well as to communities with limited financial resources. The assistance also includes various equipment (heaters, dehumidifiers, etc.), water coolers and various containers, furniture, first aid kits and fire extinguishers provided by UNICEF and Save the Children.

Lviv oblast

The ambulatory of family medicine in Semenivsk, Starostyn region received an ambulance from the International Association for Support of Ukraine to implementthe 24/7 Family Medicine project. The first mobile team of primary family medicine will be based here.

The car and spare tires were sent to soldiers towards Zaporizhzhia from Drohobych RMA and the Anticorruption Security Union.

The RMA reported that during charity concerts in Brody community, the Boian municipal choir in Brody collected over UAH 22K for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Since the beginning of the war, more than 500K IDPs have received medical care in the Lviv region. The delivery of babies was delivered to 2,429 IDPs.

Within the state program, free endoprosthesis is available for local residents and IDPs who have found refuge in Lviv oblast. It is performed on the basis of one of the regional hospitals.

In Lviv oblast, a plan of measures to implement the regional mental health program in communities is being worked out. At the beginning of December, meetings will be held with heads of all communities of the oblast to discuss the first steps in the implementation of the program.

The Executive Committee of Lviv City Council approved the installation of 8 memorial tables to Ukrainian defenders on the facades of educational institutions in Lviv. They will be dedicated to Yurii Mizunskyi, Yurii Popov, Andrii Banakh, Yurii Kostyk, Volodymyr Romanchuk, Yurii Rudom, Yurii Luny and Andrii Petrov.

Young residents of Lviv oblast underwent practical training in shooting at moving targets. The training took place in three stages during October-November. 75 boys and girls took part in the training.

Rivne oblast

The Rivne basketball club, together with charitable funds and partner companies, sent medical and hygiene equipment to the regional combat trauma center of Zdolbuniv city hospital. The Department of Neurosurgery and Traumatology of Rivne Central City Hospital received the same help. The funds will be used to treat wounded soldiers.

The RMA reported that cultural workers of Rivne oblast purchased a drone for scouts.

Ternopil oblast

Ternopil City Council reports that the community sent thermal imaging devices, uniforms, camouflage nets and other necessary items to the soldiers at the front.

Khmelnytskyi oblast

Khmelnytskyi City Council reports that they signed the tripartite Agreement on Solidarity Partnership with Stuttgart and Dresden.

Chernivtsi oblast

The RMA presented the honorary award For the Glory of Bukovyna to the family of the fallen defender, police officer Taras Kovryk. The hero is survived by his 8-year-old son Vasyl, who dreams of becoming a police officer. Taras Kovryk, 35, a senior soldier, was killed during a combat mission in eastern Ukraine. Taras was in the status of missing for almost 2 months.

International support of Ukraine in the russian-Ukrainian war (russia’s invasion of Ukraine)

Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission, states that the European Commission recommends starting negotiations on Ukraine’s accession to the EU. According to the published EC report, Ukraine has completed 90% of the reforms required by the commission. So, now Ukraine can proceed to negotiations on joining the European Union.

The Ministry of Defense of the Netherlands reports that the country sent the first five F-16s to Romania for pilot training from Ukraine.

France will send EUR 200 mln to the Ukraine Support Fund. The funds will be used to purchase French military equipment.

Denmark allocates EUR 40,2 mln to Ukraine for reconstruction needs, including heating in Mykolaiv. It is reported at the meeting of the Government of the country that the funds will go, among other things, for 20 mobile heating boilers for Mykolaiv, as well as for the repair of the centralized heating system in the city. In addition, part of the funds is allocated for supporting critical social infrastructure in Ukraine, developing cooperation between Ukrainian and Danish cities, as well as ensuring operation of non-governmental organizations from Denmark that implement projects in Ukraine.

Germany allocated EUR 700K to Ukraine to restore the Internet in liberated oblasts. 70 telecom companies operating in Kyiv (excluding Kyiv), Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Donetsk, Kherson, Zaporizhia, Mykolaiv and Luhansk oblasts will receive assistance of up to EUR 10K.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President of Ukraine, had a conversation with Fumio Kishida, Prime Minister of Japan. They discussed cooperation, in particular, developing security guarantees and a conference on Ukraine’s restoration, which will be held in Japan in February next year.

Andrii Yermak, Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, met with Oleksandr Soros, American businessman and philanthropist, Head of the Open Society Foundation. They discussed opportunities for the development of the Ukrainian economy.

Bujar Osmani, Head of the Foreign Ministry of North Macedonia, stated that serhii lavrov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of russia, asked for permission to participate in the meeting of OSCE in Skopje. However, the country could not receive the russian plane. North Macedonia’s airspace is closed to russian aircraft as the country joined EU sanctions against moscow.

UN Women in Ukraine conducted a training session on topical issues of EU integration. Representatives of state institutions, non-governmental organizations and development partners gathered together to develop recommendations for considering gender equality and inclusiveness principles in the recovery process of Ukraine and in the view of its accession to the EU. This training was financed by the Norwegian government.

In Germany, the screening of a documentary film about the Antares canine unit, Searchers of Lost Souls, has started. The international premiere took place in Leipzig. Next, the film about the search for the missing in Ukraine, courageous searchers and their legendary four-legged assistants will be shown in Dresden, Chemnitz, Erfurt, Weimar, Hanover, Lubeck and Berlin.
