It has been the 392nd day of the Ukrainian resistance to the russian military aggression.

What happened in Ukraine today:

Here is operational information of the General Staff as of 6 pm:

The russian federation continues its armed aggression against Ukraine, attempting to completely capture Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts within administrative borders. The russian army continues offensive operations towards Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka, Marinka, and Shakhtarsk. The fiercest battles rage in the southern and northern parts of Bakhmut. The russian military also launched the offensive actions towards Avdiivka to establish control over Avdiivka and Mariinka.

The russian army is using terror tactics against the civilian population, shelling populated areas and critical infrastructure facilities.

Russian troops launched a missile attack on Zaporizhzhia, as a result of which rockets hit a residential multi-storey building. There were casualties among civilians. Russian troops also carried out 41 air strikes. They used 21 UAVs of the Shahed-136 type from  Bryansk oblast, 16 of them were shot down. Russians hit the territory of a dormitory of the vocational college in Rzhyshchiv, Kyiv oblast. There were casualties among civilians. A critical civilian infrastructure facility in Zhytomyr oblast was damaged. In addition, russian military launched over 30 attacks from MLRS.

Ukraine is still under the threat of russian missile strikes.

Towards Volyn, Polissia, Siversk and Sloboda, the operational situation has not changed significantly. The formation of offensive groups of the russian army has not been detected. The russian leadership continues to use the infrastructure of the republic of belarus to train its troops. They maintain a military presence in the border areas. Russian troops shelled the areas of the settlements of Khrinivka, Myhalchyna Sloboda, Chernihiv oblast; Atynske, Volfine and Popivka, Sumy oblast and Basove, Strelecha, Hlyboke and Vovchansk, Kharkiv oblast.

Russian soldiers led unsuccessful offensive actions in the areas of Makiivka and Bilohorivka settlements. They shelled from artillery the districts of Dvorichna, Kupiansk and Krokhmalne settlements, Kharkiv oblast; Bilohorivka – Luhansk, as well as Kolodiazi and Verkhnokamianske, Donetsk oblast.

Towards Bakhmut, the russian army continues to conduct offensive actions, but their offensive potential is decreasing. They are trying to capture the city, losing a significant amount of manpower, weapons and military equipment. Ukrainian defenders repel numerous russian attacks in the areas of Bakhmut, Bohdanivka and Predtechine settlements. Settlements near the front line, including Vasyukivka, Mynkivka, Hryhorivka, Bakhmut, Ivanovske, Bila Hora, Druzhba, Maiorsk, Zalizne and New York of the Donetsk Oblast, were hit by russian shelling.

Towards Avdiivka, Mariinka, and Shakhtarsk, russian troops carried out offensive actions in the areas of Novokalynov, Stepove, Berdychi, Avdiivka, Lastochkine, Severna, Vodyane, Pervomaiske, Mariinka, and Pobieda settlements without any success. Avdiivka, Vodiane, Karlivka, Krasnohorivka, Marinka, Vugledar and Velyka Novosilka, Donetsk oblast were under russian fire.

In the settlement of Vesele in the temporarily occupied territory of Zaporizhzhia oblast, on the territory of the kindergarten, the russian occupying forces set up a military hospital.

Russian occupying so-called “authorities” continue to exercise measures for forced passporting of the population in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine. Thus, in the settlements of Kherson oblast, the occupying authorities have been threatening local residents since April to stop paying pensions in case of absence of a russian passport.

At the same time, in the Starobil Vocational College of Luhansk National Agrarian University, a meeting of teachers was held, who expressed dissatisfaction with the forced passporting of the teaching staff, due to the instruction of the occupying so-called “leadership” of the educational institution, that all employees of the college should receive a passport of a citizen of the russian federation by June 1. Teachers can’t resign at their own will. Russian soldiers took measures to forcibly disperse and stop the meetings.

The aviation of the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck russian anti-aircraft missile complex, as well as launched 12 strikes on the areas of buildup of personnel and military equipment of russian military.
