Towards Sivershchyna and Sloboda, the russian army maintains its military presence in the areas bordering Ukraine. The enemy conducts subversion, continues shelling of Ukrainian settlements from the territory of russia and increases the concentration of mining operations along the state border of Ukraine. More than 20 settlements, including Senkivka, Leonivka, Yanzhulivka (Chernihiv oblast), Pozhnia, Kliusy, Pokrovka, Popivka (Sumy oblast) came under enemy artillery and mortar fire.
Towards Kupiansk and Lyman, the enemy conducted no offensives. However, the enemy launched an airstrike in the vicinity of Synkivka (Kharkiv oblast). The invaders fired artillery and mortars at around 15 settlements, specifically Stepova Novoselivka, Ivanivka, Kotlyarivka (Kharkiv oblast).
Towards Lyman, the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 9 attacks in the vicinity of Terny (Donetsk oblast), where the enemy attempted to breach Ukrainian defense. The invaders launched airstrikes in the vicinities of Novosadove, Yampolivka (Donetsk oblast). The enemy fired artillery and mortars at more than 10x settlements, including Nevs’ke (Luhansk oblast), Terny, and Torske (Donetsk oblast).
Towards Bakhmut, the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 25 attacks in the vicinities of Bilohorivka (Luhansk oblast), Verkhnokamianske, Spirne, Klishchiivka, Ivanivske, Novyi (Donetsk oblast), where the enemy attempted to improve its tactical position. The invaders launched air strikes in the vicinities of Chasiv Yar and Niu-York (Donetsk oblast). More than 10 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire, including Hryhorivka, Kalynivka, and Chasiv Yar (Donetsk oblast).
Towards Avdiivka, the Ukrainian defenders repelled 18 attacks in the vicinities of Semenivka, Ocheretyne, Novokalynove, Berdychi, Umanske, Yasnobrodivka (Donetsk oblast), where the enemy, using air attacks, made attempts to dislodge Ukrainian troops from their positions. The adversary launched air strikes in the vicinities of Novobakhmutivka, Oleksandropil, Soloviove and Novooleksandrivka (Donetsk oblast). The invaders fired artillery and mortars at around 10 settlements, including Semenivka, Ocheretyne, Novobakhmutivka, and Netailove (Donetsk oblast).
Towards Novopavlivka, the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to block the enemy near Heorhiivka, Novomykhailivka, Vodiane and Urozhaine (Donetsk oblast), where the invaders, with air support, made 17 attempts to breach Ukrainian defense. The adversary launched air strikes in the vicinities of Krasnohorivka, Shakhtarske, Velyka Novosilka (Donetsk oblast). More than 10 settlements, including Paraskoviivka, Kostyantynivka, Vuhledar (Donetsk oblast) were shelled.
Towards Orikhiv, the enemy, with air support, launched 1 attack on positions of Ukrainian defenders in the vicinity of Staromaiorske (Donetsk oblast). The invaders launched airstrikes in the vicinities of Mala Tokmachka and Robotyne (Zaporizhzhia oblast). Around 20 settlements, including Stepove, Shcherbaky, Piatykhatky (Zaporizhzhia oblast), were under enemy artillery and mortar fire.
Towards Kherson, the enemy has not abandoned its intention to dislodge Ukrainian troops from their bridgeheads on the left bank of the Dnipro River. The invaders, using air attacks, executed 3 unsuccessful attacks on positions of the Ukrainian troops in the vicinity of Krynky (Kherson oblast). Around 20 settlements, including Tiahynka, Ivanivka, Novotyahynka, Ponyativka, Sadove, Ol’hivka, Mykolaivka, Veletenske (Kherson oblast) and the city of Kherson were shelled.
The Ukrainian Air Force launched air strikes on 9 buildups of enemy troops.
Ukrainian Rocket Forces hit 1 buildup of enemy troops, 1 ammunition depot, 1 air defense system, 1 buildup of weapons and military equipment of the russian invaders.
The Southern Defense Forces and Odesa Regional Military Administration report that on the night of April 20, russia attacked Zaporizhzhia’s industrial infrastructure and an infrastructure facility in Odesa. Information on the extent of the damage is being clarified.
Dmytro Lubinets, Human Rights Ombudsman, says that Ukraine sent appeals to the UN, the Council of Europe, the OSCE, the ICRC and other international organisations, and national human rights institutions to publicly condemn the shelling of Dnipro, but received no response. He called the reaction of international organisations to russia’s cynical actions “rather sluggish”.
Recent war events in the east of Ukraine
Kharkiv oblast
Director Oleksandr Minkovych reported that all three units of Kharkiv’s CHP-5 are damaged and will take years to repair. According to him, since the start of the full-scale war, russians have shelled the plant 9 times, injuring 11 of its employees, and last year’s damage amounted to almost UAH 1bn. But the biggest attack was in March this year.
Viktor Kovalenko, Head of Zolochiv Village Military Command, informed that in Mala Rohozianka, russians hit the village using a guided aerial bomb at around 6pm. A man, who was trapped under the rubble after the attack on Mala Rohozianka, was rescued. According to him, the man suffered pelvic and head injuries and was taken to hospital.
Oleh Syniehubov, Head of Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, reported that at around 8am, russian troops hit a private house in Vovchansk, killing an 83-year-old man as a result of mine injuries. A 50-year-old civilian died on the spot as a result of a hit to another private house. Another 9-storey building was also under russian attack. The third entrance of the building was destroyed. The roof of the second entrance was partially destroyed. Two people were rescued from their apartment. A 61-year-old woman was injured and hospitalised in moderate condition. A 44-year-old man was also injured. The enemy used UMPB D-30 ammunition. The press service of the regional prosecutor’s office reported one more death, an 84-year-old man. According to preliminary data, the russian federation shelled the city by aerial guided munitions and MRLs.

At 12pm, a private house and a car were damaged in Mali Prokhody village of Kharkiv region.
At 1:55pm, 2 private houses were under attack in Baranivka village of Bohodukhiv region.
At 2:20 pm, Industrialnyi district was shelled and as a result, a garage was destroyed and 14 more damaged.
The press service of the State Emergency Service in Kharkiv oblast reported that one of the russian air bombs that hit Zolochiv on 16 April did not explode. It was removed, transported outside the town and detonated.
Yesterday there were no attacks on Kharkiv.
At 12:38am, Slobozhanske village of Lyptsi community, Kharkiv region, was hit. A man was under the rubble in an outbuilding as a result of the shelling. Emergency rescue operations were performed. The man was not injured.
About 15 settlements in Kharkiv oblast suffered artillery and mortar attacks yesterday: Synkivka, Petropavlivka and others. Senkove was shelled by airstrikes.
On 19 April at 10:30am, Senkove village of Kurylivka community, Kupiansk region was shelled. The building of the former Senkove outpatient clinic of general practice and family medicine and a private house were damaged as a result of the shelling by the KAB.
The enemy did not conduct any offensive towards Kupiansk yesterday.
60 children with their families were evacuated from certain settlements of Bohodukhiv, Izium and Kharkiv regions: Borova community – 4; Derhachi community – 26; Lyptsi community – 30.
Combined teams of bomb experts cleared 52.6 hectares of territory and destroyed 297 explosive ordnance.
Donetsk oblast
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, reported that Ukrainian troops repelled 95 russian attacks on the frontlines of Donetsk, Luhansk and Zaporizhzhia oblasts on 19 April. The russian army also launched airstrikes on 18 settlements in Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts.
Serhii Boievskyi, Head of Druzhkivka CMA, reported about the shelling after 10pm on 19 April, where a man was injured. The shelling damaged about 20 private houses and a power line.
Artem Tertychenko, Chief Inspector of the Fire Safety Department of the Emergency Prevention Department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Donetsk oblast, said that since the beginning of the year, rescuers have recorded 1183 fires in Donetsk region, 185 of which were caused by explosive devices.
Oleh Kalashnikov, Spokesman of the 26th artillery brigade, informed that the russian army is attacking several settlements towards Bakhmut, including Klishchiivka, Ivanivske and Kalynivka, using heavy armoured vehicles.
Anastasiia Miedviedieva, Spokeswoman of the Regional Prosecutor’s Office, said that during the day, russian forces shelled Ocheretyne and Krasnohorivka. As a result, a man was injured and a woman sustained a fractured arm.
The State Environmental Inspectorate of Ukraine confirmed that as a result of systematic shelling of Kurakhove, 14 cases of contamination of the land of Kurakhove TPP with oil products and waste from the destruction were recorded. In this way, the invaders caused damage to Kurakhove TPP worth almost UAH 1bn.
A workshop on the oral history of the war was held in Donetsk oblast.
Donetsk Regional Museum of Local History organised the training session. The event turned out to be effective for those who are just starting to work with the history of the war.
Children from Donetsk oblast are having a holiday at the Smarahdove Misto rehabilitation centre. More than 150 school students from 16 communities in Donetsk oblast went there for study and recreation.

Towards Pokrovsk, in Marinka community, 1 person was injured in Krasnohorivka, while Antonivka, Katerynivka and Illinka shelled. A person was injured and 7 apartment buildings damaged in Ukrainsk of Selydove community. 3 administrative buildings were damaged in Myrnohrad.
Towards Kramatorsk, Yampolivka and Terny of Lyman community, Markove and Stupochky of Kostiantynivka community were shelled. 1 person was injured in Druzhkivka.
Towards Bakhmut, a person was injured and a house damaged in Niu-York. 7 private houses and 2 apartment buildings were damaged in Chasiv Yar. A house was damaged in Serebrianka of Siversk community.
In a day, russians shelled settlements in Donetsk oblast 10 times. 139 people, including 21 children, were evacuated from the frontline.
Vadym Filashkin, Head of Donetsk Regional Military Administration, reported that yesterday russians injured 4 civilians: in Krasnohorivka, Ukrainsk, Niu-York and Druzhkivka.
Luhansk oblast
The residents of Nevske and Novoliubivka were provided with medical care and pension services. For security reasons, it is not possible to organise permanent work of narrow specialists in the villages of Luhansk oblast located close to the frontline. However, whenever necessary, locals are assisted in getting to medical facilities in the cities of Donetsk oblast. For instance, yesterday residents of Novoliubivka and Nevske were taken to an ophthalmologist and a surgeon who provided the villagers with planned medical care. Another person’s pension was re-issued.
Yesterday russians stormed near Tverdokhlibove, Kreminna and Bilohorivka and our defenders stopped these attempts. Bilohorivka suffered an airstrike. The invaders opened artillery fire on Hrekivka, Makiivka and Nevske. Nevske and Makiivka suffered from mortar attacks.
According to Artem Lysohor, Head of Luhansk Regional Military Administration, another portion of russian propaganda was delivered to schools of the so-called “lpr”. From now on, teachers will have to teach children and young people the terms from the Dictionary of Basic Terms Related to the State Policy on the Protection of Traditional russian Spiritual and Moral Values, Culture and Historical Memory.
Luhansk Regional Military Administration reported that the invaders published another announcement about the nationalisation of empty apartments in two more apartment buildings in Sievierodonetsk. The owners have 30 days to apply with a russian passport and russian-type ownership documents.
What is happening now in the north of Ukraine
Kyiv oblast
Ruslan Kravchenko, Head of the RMA, announced that more than 15,800 apartment and private houses, 202 educational institutions, 115 healthcare facilities, 78 administrative buildings, and ASCs have been restored in Kyiv oblast. In total, almost 17,500 objects have been repaired, with the reconstruction of housing and social infrastructure being a priority.
The Family and Child Support Centre was set up in Fastiv community within Fastiv City Centre for Social Services. The centre will provide free social services to IDP families and families in hardship.
Mayor Anatoliy Fedoruk informed that Bucha has transferred two Matrice 30T quadcopters with additional batteries to the 5th separate assault brigade of the AFU fighting towards Bakhmut. To purchase them, the residents of Bucha raised over UAH 200,000. According to the mayor, Bucha City Council has already allocated UAH 113.7 million to support the defence forces since the beginning of the war.
Regional rescuers conducted joint training with the Red Cross Rapid Response Teams to practise cooperation during shelling and emergencies. They simulated an introductory scenario where an enemy UAV hit a warehouse, destroying structures, setting off a fire, and trapping injured and dead employees.
Mayor Oleksandr Markushyn announced that Irpin Lyceum No. 1 in Kyiv oblast was equipped with solar panels as part of the 100 Solar Schools programme. The station would save about 25-40% of electricity consumption and about UAH 45,000 annually. As noted, this solar station can accumulate electricity thus allowing schoolchildren to study uninterruptedly for more than 4 hours during blackouts.
Irpin Mayor Oleksandr Markushyn informed that the children’s book “Irpin is my home” was published in Albanian. The new translation was presented at the international forum “Women.Peace.Security” international forum under the patronage of Vjosa Osmani, President of Kosovo. On the pages of this collection, children tell about their hometown of Irpin: they recall their favourite places, share their thoughts after the russian invasion, and dream of a future without sirens and explosions.
Zhytomyr oblast
According to the RMA, Zhytomyr oblast enterprises continue to operate in extremely difficult conditions and, despite the war, export agricultural and food products to the world market. In 2023, the foreign trade turnover of the oblast enterprises amounted to almost USD 1,958m and exports reached over $ 531m.
Representatives of the Global View NGO, relocated from Kherson to Zhytomyr Oblast, have set up the Unbreakable_Me HAB in Radomyshl community to help local women adapt to life in the wartime. According to project manager Liudmyla Kuzmenko, after operating in Kherson for 10 years, they decided to relocate to a safer region.
Sumy oblast
As reported by the RMA, at night and in the morning, russians shelled the border areas and settlements of Sumy oblast eight times, with a total of 57 explosions recorded. The enemy launched 22 mortar attacks and 33 artillery attacks on the territory of Krasnopillia community and launched rocket attacks on Mykolayivka and Sumy communities.
Over the past day, the russian military attacked Sumy oblast 10 times with a total of 33 explosions recorded, including mortar shelling, UAV drops, and NOR and KAB air strikes. Yunakivka, Bilopillia, Krasnopillia, Bereza, and Seredyna-Buda communities were shelled.
According to the RMA, four civilians were wounded in the shelling of Bilopillia community on 19 April. The enemy launched 8 air strikes, and 10 artillery strikes, and dropped explosives from a UAV.
The RMA also reported that on 19 April, the russian army hit civilian infrastructure in Sumy with a rocket. The air defence forces were engaged and there were no casualties.
The Ministry of Reintegration has amended the list of territories where hostilities are taking or have taken place. Since March, Sumy has been classified as a possible area of hostilities, while Velyka Pysarivka and Seredyna-Buda communities are classified as areas of active hostilities.
The Cabinet of Ministers allocated a subvention of UAH 150m to Sumy oblast to create safe conditions in secondary education institutions. According to the regional administration, there are currently 700 educational institutions in Sumy oblast, of which 622 (88.9%) are equipped with civil defence structures, while 208 educational institutions need major repairs, reconstruction or construction of new shelters.
Chernihiv oblast
According to the State Border Guard Service, russian troops shelled Chernihiv oblast border five times, with a total of 19 mortar attacks recorded. Semenivka, Snovsk and Horodnia communities were attacked.
On 19 April, rescuers, police officers, medics, volunteers and public utilities were presented with letters of appreciation from the mayor of Chernihiv for their diligent performance of duties, high professionalism, courage and bravery during the response to the rocket attack in Chernihiv on 17 April.
Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine
Dnipropetrovsk oblast
Mykola Lukashuk, Head of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast Council, reported that in the morning, an enemy missile was shot down over the oblast. It was destroyed in Novomoskovsk region by the Air Command East. The falling debris caused a fire in an abandoned outbuilding. A private house and 2 cars were also damaged. The occupiers also shelled Nikopol region with drones and artillery, hitting the region’s center and Marhanets community. The enemy also launched a kamikaze drone at Zelenodolsk community in Kryvyi Rih region. A fire that broke out in the private sector was extinguished by emergency workers.
Another enemy UAV the Air Defense destroyed over Kryvyi Rih region at night. A reconnaissance drone was shot down. According to the updated information, the falling wreckage of a missile shot down yesterday afternoon started a fire in Novooleksandrivka community of Dnipro region. Dry grass was burning. Windows in one of the private houses and a fence were damaged.
During the day, russian troops fired a missile at Dnipro region. A 54-year-old man who was repairing his car nearby was killed. During the day, the enemy again attacked Nikopol region with kamikaze drones and artillery. Nikopol itself, Marhanets, Myrove and Pokrovsk communities were hit. A utility company, a bus stop, private houses, outbuildings and power lines were damaged.
According to the State Emergency Service emergency rescue operations have been completed after a missile attack on a high-rise building in Dnipro. Rescuers unblocked the bodies of a man and a woman from the rubble. Due to the russian attack 3 people died and 24 injured.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President of Ukraine during a working visit to Dnipro reported that Dnipropetrovsk oblast will receive over UAH 3.2 billion as part of the Made in Ukraine economic platform.
Vinnytsia oblast
Vinnytsia City Council informed that the second information and recruitment event was held in the city. Those interested could try on military equipment and get acquainted with the robotic systems used by the defense.
Kirovohrad oblast
Since the beginning of 2024, entrepreneurs in Kirovohrad oblast have applied for 36 eRobot microgrants. In this way, they can receive grant assistance from the state to start or develop a business.
In Kropyvnytskyi, members of the Polygon 56 Berdiansk public organization started the We Are Waiting campaign. The event was organized to support those who are waiting for their loved ones to return from the war.
Kropyvnytskyi rescuers received 2 dozen generators, motor pumps, pumps, batteries, LED lamps, solar panels and special clothing. The aid comes from government and private organizations in the European Union.

Zaporizhzhia oblast
According to Zaporizhzhia RMA, in the morning, russian terrorist forces launched rocket attacks on the industrial infrastructure of Zaporizhzhia, damaging a facility. According to preliminary information, there were no civilian casualties or damage to residential buildings.
On 20 April, there were explosions in Zaporizhzhia. Air defenders shot down an enemy SuperCam drone. Throughout the night, russian occupiers targeted Ukraine with 7 missiles of various types, 2 of which were intercepted.
Ivan Fedorov, Head of Zaporizhzhia RMA, reported that during the day, occupiers conducted 291 strikes on Zaporizhzhia oblast, hitting 7 settlements. They launched 5 airstrikes on Robotyne, Mala Tokmachka and Novoandriivka. Also, 32 drones of different modifications attacked Huliaipole, Levadne, Robotyne, Mala Tokmachka, Malynivka and Novoandriivka. 2 MLRS shells hit Levadne and Robotyne. 252 artillery strikes targeted the territories of Huliaipole, Mala Tokmachka, Novoandriivka, Novodanilivka, Robotyne, Levadne and Malynivka. There were 22 reports of residential buildings being damaged, but no civilian casualties were reported.
Occupiers disregard nuclear safety regulations at the occupied Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant (NPP), posing serious risks to both the station itself and the surrounding area. Military personnel roam freely throughout the site, including restricted areas. Military equipment and fortifications, including those on the roofs of reactor compartments, are present at the NPP. The territory is heavily mined, including the station’s perimeter, cooling ponds, spray basins, and shoreline, constituting blatant violations of nuclear safety rules. Additionally, experts from the IAEA, stationed at Zaporizhzhia NPP, report artillery fire originating directly from the plant’s premises.
According to Ivan Fedorov, Head of Zaporizhzhia RMA, on the temporarily occupied territory of Zaporizhzhia oblast, people abductions persist. Over a thousand people have been reported missing, with the fate of many remaining unknown. No organisation has access to the places where abducted individuals are held or full information about those who have disappeared in the TOT of Zaporizhzhia oblast. Information about the abduction of Ukrainian citizens is only received from relatives and/or close associates of the abducted individuals.
Zaporizhzhia Regional State Administration and the charitable organisations West Support in Ukraine and LITUA have signed a memorandum of cooperation in restoring and developing the region’s educational infrastructure. Thanks to the support of West Support in Ukraine and LITUA, educational institutions in Zaporizhzhia will receive modular furniture for the construction of shelters and underground schools. A unique feature of this furniture is that it can be assembled without a single nail.
Mykolaiv oblast
According to Mykolaiv RMA, on the night of 20 April, a russian reconnaissance UAV was destroyed by the air defence forces in Mykolaiv oblast. On 19 April at 1:03pm, 1:05pm, 2:17pm, and on 20 April at 6:21am, the enemy conducted artillery shelling on the territory of Kutsurub community. As a result of the attack in the village of Solonchaky, a woman was killed, and a 14-year-old boy and an elderly man injured. Also, a residential building was damaged. Furthermore, on 19 April at 1:17pm, the waters of Ochakiv community were shelled, but there were no casualties.
On 19 April, a delegation led by Robert Habeck, Vice Chancellor and Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Climate Action of Germany, visited Mykolaiv oblast. A meeting was held with Vitalii Kim, Head of Mykolaiv RMA to discuss comprehensive support for Mykolaiv from Germany. This included the restoration of infrastructure damaged by russian shelling, including energy facilities, the development of economic cooperation, and the needs of Ukrainian defenders. Robert Habeck assured that Germany would continue to support Ukraine in its struggle.
Mykolaiv oblast faces the same challenges as other frontline and relatively safer oblasts of Ukraine, related to logistical problems and mine clearance. Vitalii Kim, the Head of the Mykolaiv Regional State Administration, stated that about 18% of fields are still risky to cultivate due to the potential presence of explosive devices.
Odesa oblast
Operating from the Black Sea waters, enemy aircraft from tactical aviation launched missile strikes, likely using Kh-59 missiles, in Odesa oblast. 3 missiles were intercepted and destroyed by air defence forces. However, as a result of the falling missile debris, a fire broke out, yet was quickly extinguished. 4 residential buildings and a gas pipeline were damaged, with 1 residential building completely destroyed. 5 civilians were injured, including one child who required medical treatment. 3 individuals refused hospitalisation.

Kherson oblast
Roman Mrochko, Head of Kherson City Military Administration, said that on Friday evening, the russian military from the occupied left bank shelled the outskirts of Kherson, killing an 80-year-old woman.
Oleksandr Prokudin, Head of Kherson Regional Military Administration, reported that on 19 April, the russian military struck 14 settlements in the occupied territory of Kherson oblast. As a result, one person was killed. There were strikes in the cities of Kherson and Beryslav, as well as in the villages of Antonivka, Kizomys, Veletenske, Sadove, Naddniprianske, Mykhailivka, Inzhenerne, Zelenivka, Prydniprovske, Odradokamianka, Tyahynka and Stanislav. High-rise and private buildings, critical infrastructure objects and gas pipelines were damaged.
Occupiers in the temporarily occupied Kherson oblast have begun forcibly evacuating people. It is noted that in Chulakivka, Stara Zburivka and Nova Zburivka, occupiers conducted house-to-house searches to check for residents. Those found at home were informed of the forced evacuation to Zaliznyi Port. According to the occupation authorities, the reason for the evacuation is the lack of electricity in settlements. russian soldiers are moving into the houses from which people have left.
The occupation authorities plan to transport 3 zebras from the occupied Askania-Nova Biosphere Reserve in Kherson oblast to the Kazka zoo, Crimea. The legal director of the reserve, Viktor Shapoval, stated that zebras have a high value and are in demand as they are relatively rare in zoos. Approximately 30 zebras remain in Askania-Nova.

In Uzhgorod, the Department of Veterans’ Policy of the Department of Social Policy organised a seminar Veterans’ Rights. War veterans and wounded soldiers were consulted on pension provision, as well as the operation of local and regional support programs that they can use.
8 Centers of Administrative Services of Zakarpattia received mobile cases for on-site service thanks to the UNDP with funding from the Government of Great Britain.
Ivano-Frankivsk oblast
Ivano-Frankivsk City Council reported that the community sent a Mavic drone to the 78th Separate Airborne Assault Regiment.
In Ivano-Frankivsk, plaques were opened to fallen defenders Dmytro Lutsiv and Serhii Savchyn. Commemorative plaques were installed on the facade of Lyceum №16, where the Heroes studied.
Lviv oblast
The Belgian city of Mechelen has officially become a sister city of Lviv. Andrii Sadovyi, Lviv Mayor, and Bart Somers, Mechelen Mayor, signed a cooperation agreement.
Lviv City Council reported that the community sent 130 Mavic 3, 100 Mavic 3 T, 20 Mavic 3E and 200 10-inch FPVs worth almost UAH 35m to the military.
Krasno Village Council sent military equipment for the defenders at the front and allocated UAH 500,000 for the purchase of equipment for the 420th Rifle Battalion and the Rifle Brigade. They bought 2 Vortex Razor HD Gen III 6-36×56 F1 optical sights, a quick-release mount for optical sights, STS Arms Medium Picatinny bipods and other equipment.
In the Harrison Church of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul, a prayer was held for the defenders who were killed during the russian-Ukrainian war. For the 30th time, the Hero’s Cross was presented to relatives of fallen soldiers of the 24th Separate Mechanised Brigade named after King Danylo.
Lubomyr Babiak, serviceman from Lviv oblast was posthumously awarded with the III degree For Courage Order. The hero was killed on 13 August, 2023, near the village of Ivanivske, Donetsk oblast, while performing a combat mission.
Rivne oblast
The Blaljus I Samverkan CF from Stockholm sent humanitarian aid, namely the 6th special vehicle to Radyvyliv hospital of the oblast.
8 communities of Rivne oblast received Mobile Cases for on-site administrative services thanks to the UN Development Program in Ukraine with the support of the Government of Great Britain.
Ternopil oblast
The RMA reported that Ternopil oblast sent 8 interactive panels to the fighters of the Anti-Aircraft Machine Gun Battalion guarding the sky over the oblast. The large screen allows you to work with detailed maps, change the scale, make marks and more.
17 service centres of Ternopil oblast received mobile cases for on-site service in communities of the oblast thanks to the Strengthened Partnership for Sustainable Recovery project by the UNDP/SIDA.
Khmelnytskyi oblast
Another meeting of the executive committee was held in Khmelnytskyi to approve 50% compensation for the cost of studying at a university for 47 military personnel.
Chernivtsi oblast
In Bukovina, a permit is required to stay in the border zone. Entry, stay, residence, work and access to the 5-km border strip are carried out on the basis of the permission of the State Border Service. The term for consideration of a permit application is 10 days. Currently, there is a transition period, so citizens are not punished for not having the permit. However, from June 1, border guards will begin to monitor compliance with the regime and violators will be held administratively liable with the imposition of a fine.
International support of Ukraine in the russian-Ukrainian war (russia’s invasion of Ukraine)
Kaisa Ollongren, Minister of Defense of the Netherlands stated that the country urgently allocated over €200m for air defence and shells for Ukraine.
Jens Stoltenberg, NATO Secretary General, announced that defence ministers of NATO countries agreed to increase support for Ukraine by means of air defence.
Andrii Yermak, Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, had a phone conversation with Peter Sijarto, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade of Hungary. They discussed cooperation between countries.
Petr Fiala, Prime Minister of the Czech Republic, announced that their initiative to obtain ammunition for Ukraine can provide Kyiv with 1.5m artillery shells during the year.
TikTok began to block the first accounts of russian propaganda spreaders. 24 such channels have already been removed. In total, the Center for Combating Disinformation compiled a list of 83 accounts. It will be constantly updated, and the Center will ask TikTok to remove them. Work on channel blocking continues.
PACE recognized the russian Orthodox Church a tool of kremlin propaganda and influence, which has nothing to do with freedom of religion and expression of views. Patriarch kirill and the hierarchs of the russian Orthodox Church were recognized as complicit in russia’s crimes against Ukraine.
Mark Rutte, Prime Minister of the Netherlands, said that he will continue to persuade countries that have a large number of Patriot anti-aircraft missile systems in their arms to transfer some of them to Ukraine to repel russian attacks. But if they do not want to transfer them directly, they can be offered to buy Patriots for further transfer to Ukraine, because the state has an urgent need for them.
In New York, a rally was held against the tours of the russian mariinsky Theatre of Opera and Ballet. Ukrainian activists took to the streets of New York to once again remind that the performances of russian artists on world platforms are another attempt to distract the world from the damage and deaths they have caused to Ukraine during the last two years of the full-scale war.
