It has been the 511th day of the Ukrainian resistance to the russian military aggression. 

What happened in Ukraine today:

Here is operational information of the General Staff as of 6 pm:   

The russian federation continues to kill the civilian population of Ukraine and violate the laws and customs of war, using tactics of terror, launching attacks, and carrying out shelling on both military and civilian targets.

Russian troops launched another barrage of missile and air strike on the territory of Ukraine, using 16 Kalibr sea-based cruise missiles, 8 Kh-22 cruise missiles, 6 Oniks cruise missiles, 1 guided aviation missile Kh-59, and 32 strike UAVs of the Shahed type.

As a result of combat operations, the air defense of the Air Forces of Ukraine, along with other units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, destroyed 13 Kalibr cruise missiles, 1 guided aviation missile Kh-59, and 23 strike UAVs of the Shahed type.

The russian army conducted 66 aviation strikes and carried out approximately 30 MLRS attacks.

Ukraine is still under the threat of missile and air strikes.

The eussian army continues to concentrate its main efforts towards Kupiansk, Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka, and Mariinka, where heavy fighting is ongoing. There were 19 combat clashes.

Towards Volyn and Polissia, the operational situation did not change. There were no significant changes in formation of offensive groups. The units of the belarusian armed forces are performing tasks in the border areas with Ukraine.

Towards Siversk and Sloboda, the russian army maintains a military presence. They conducted mortar and artillery shelling on more than 20 settlements, including Horsk, Yeline, Leonivka,Chernihiv oblast; Seredyna-Buda, Bachivsk, Sumy oblast; and Udy, Kozacha Lopan, Strilecha, Vovchansk, Mala Vovcha, Budarky,Kharkiv oblast.

Towards Kupiansk, Ukrainian soldiers are holding the defense steadfastly. The russian army carried out an air strike in the area of Kyslivka. Russian artillery and mortar shelling affected Dvorichna, Zakhidne, Synkivka, Kyslivka, Berestove, Kharkiv oblast.

Towards Lyman, russian troops conducted air strikes in the vicinity of Bilohorivka, Luhansk oblast and Serebrianka, Donetsk oblast. Artillery shelling affected the settlements of Nevske, Bilohorivka, Luhansk oblast, and Torske, Verkhniokamianske, Berestove, Rozdolivka, Donetsk oblast.

Towards Bakhmut, under intense russian artillery fire, Ukrainian troops successfully repelled attacks in the area of Bohdanivka, Donetsk oblast. Over 10 settlements, including Vasiukivka, Markove, Bohdanivka, Chasiv Yar, Ivanivske, Stupochky, Oleksandro-Shultyne, Donetsk oblast, suffered from russian artillery shelling.

Towards Avdiivka, under intense fire from russian aviation and artillery, the Ukrainian military successfully repelled attacks by russian troops in the area of Nevelske. The russian army conducted missile and air strikes in the area of Avdiivka. At the same time, they carried out artillery shelling on more than 10 settlements, including Lastochkyne, Avdiivka, Karlivka, and Nevelske, Donetsk oblast.

Towards Mariinka, the Armed Forces of Ukraine continue to hold back the advance of russian troops in the areas of Mariinka and Krasnohorivka. The russian army conducted shelling on more than 10 settlements, including Krasnohorivka, Mariinka, Hеorhiivka, and Pobeda, Donetsk oblast.

Towards Shakhtarsk, russian soldiers shelled over 10 settlements, including Paraskoviivka, Novomykhailivka, Vuhledar, and Blahodatne, Donetsk oblast.

Towards Zaporizhzhia and Kherson, the russian army concentrates its main efforts on preventing further advancement of Ukrainian troops. They made unsuccessful attempts to regain lost positions in the area north of Pryiutne, Zaporizhzhia oblast. Over 20 settlements, including Novodarivka, Olhivske, Malynivka, Huliaypole, Zaliznychne, Bilohirya, Lobkove, Zaporizhzhia oblast; Dudchany, Kozatske, Lvove, Ivanivka, Antonivka, Berehove, Kizomys, Kherson oblast, and the city of Kherson, suffered from artillery shelling.

Meanwhile, the Armed Forces of Ukraine continue their offensive operation towards Melitopol and Berdiansk, consolidate their positions at achieved frontlines, fire from artillery at identified russian targets, and carry out counter-battery measures.

The russian army continues to convert civilian infrastructure facilities in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine for its own needs. For example, in the cultural center of Kalanchak village council, Kherson oblast, russian troops have set up a military hospital, where currently over 50 russian soldiers are undergoing treatment and rehabilitation for various degrees of injuries.

The aviation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine conducted 5 strikes on manpower buildup areas. Additionally, Ukrainian troops have destroyed 2 tactical-level reconnaissance UAVs.

The units of rocket forces and artillery struck 3 russian personnel, weapons, and military equipment concentration areas, destroying 9 artillery systems in firing positions, 2 air defense systems, and russian EW station.


According to the Minister of Agrarian Policy, Mykola Solskyi, 60,000 tons of grain in the port of Chornomorsk were destroyed as a result of night russian shelling of the infrastructure in Odesa. This grain had to be shipped through the grain corridor 60 days ago. Solsky also noted that if Ukraine cannot export food, the population of the poorest countries will be on the verge of survival. In addition, the world economy will suffer.

A member of the Energy Committee of Nahorniak stressed that the situation in the energy system of Ukraine is extremely difficult. Over 26 substations were partially destroyed. He also noted that the substation restoration is not going at the desired pace, because the delivery of equipment, not available in Ukraine, is being delayed.

Recent war events in the east of Ukraine

Kharkiv oblast

Oleksandr Hanushchyn, Major of the 103rd Territorial Defense brigade reported that russian troops have been intensifying their activities towards Kupiansk since around mid-January 2023. As of yesterday evening, the frequency of artillery shelling has increased and there are russian attempts to advance.

A module primary healthcare outpatient clinic has been set up in Izium to replace the medical facility destroyed during the bombing of the city in spring 2022. According to the Ministry of Health, up to 12 healthcare workers will be able to work there at the same time.

Oleh Syniehubov, Head of Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, informed that yesterday 18 settlements in the north and north-east of Kharkiv oblast were under enemy attack.

Last night and late in the evening, the enemy shelled Kupiansk at least three times. At least 5 private buildings were damaged and 1 building completely destroyed. Preliminary, there were no casualties. Yesterday the enemy shelled settlements of Kupiansk, Chuhuiv, Bohodukhiv, Kharkiv and Izium regions with mortars, cannon, rocket artillery and combat aircraft.

A 72-year-old man was killed in Dvorichna village, Kupiansk region. A 65-year-old woman was injured and hospitalised. Later, a 60-year-old woman came down with light injury, she did not need hospitalization.

The shelling of Huriv Kozachok village, Bohodukhiv region, damaged the premises of an agricultural enterprise.

In Odnorobivka village, Bohodukhiv region, which was shelled from a helicopter, 2 private buildings were destroyed and 2 more partially damaged.  

In Stepove village, Izium region, the power grid was damaged.

Mine clearance is ongoing. Yesterday pyrotechnics of the State Emergency Service examined about 8.5 hectares of territory and defused 121 explosive ordnance.

Our defenders are holding their positions on the contact line towards Kupiansk. The enemy made no advances.

Donetsk oblast

Andrii Kovalov, Spokesman of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, said that Ukrainian troops have partially succeeded in fighting back russian troops near Orikhovo-Vasylivka towards Bakhmut and are advancing north and south of Bakhmut.

Valerii Shershen, Spokesman of the Joint Press Office of the Armed Forces of Ukraine towards Tavriisk, stated that Ukrainian troops have partially succeeded in the Velyka Novosilka-Staromaiorske axis. They are gaining a foothold on the achieved lines.

List 31 investigation of Radio Liberty states that in May 2022, 31 children from the occupied Mariupol, Shakhtarsk, Volnovakha and Khartsyzk were illegally deported to russia with the personal approval of Denys Pushylin, leader of the Donetsk People’s Republic group. According to the investigators, Pushylin personally approved the list of children. It was established that these were 16 boys and 15 girls who were sent to at least 10 institutions in the non-government controlled area of Donetsk oblast, then the children were taken to Rostov-on-Don and after, on one of the planes of russian Presidential Administration to moscow.

Towards Volnovakha, there were 32 attacks on Vuhledar. Bohoiavlenka, Prechystivka and Maksymivka were shelled with Grad MRLs.

Towards Donetsk, russians launched a missile attack on Avdiivka in the morning, injuring 1 person. Two people were injured in Krasnohorivka and Zhelanne Pershe, Marinka community. A field of wheat was destroyed in Zhelanne Pershe. In Kurakhivka, a person was injured and 4 buildings damaged.

Towards Horlivka, 4 buildings were damaged in Markove and 2 in Mykolaivka of Kostiantynivka community. A person was injured and 3 buildings damaged in Chasiv Yar community. In Soledar community, Minkivka, Vasiukivka and Rozdolivka were shelled.

Towards Lysychansk, a building was destroyed and 5 more were damaged in Pereizne of Zvanivka community. In Lyman community, buildings on 5 streets in Yampil were damaged.

Pavlo Kyrylenko, Head of Donetsk Regional Military Adminitration, reported that yesterday russians injured 10 civilians: 5 in Zhelanne Pershe, 2 in Lyman, 1 in Avdiivka, Kurakhivka and Krasnohorivka

Luhansk oblast

Luhansk Regional Military Administration said that the occupation authorities of Lysychansk promise to provide electricity and water after the elections are properly held, Ahmat fighters are stationed in the city’s clinic and the Armed Forces of Ukraine have seized the initiative in some areas, specifically, towards Kupiansk, where fierce fighting is underway but the initiative is already on the side of the defenders. However, the invaders continue to destroy our settlements. Bilohorivka withstood another air strike. Bilohorivka and Nevske were shelled with cannon and rocket artillery.

The occupation administration is preparing for the so-called first elections in Lysychansk and the settlements that are part of the community. Almost nothing has been restored there in a year and communications have been maintained only occasionally.

Luhansk RMA reported that the de-occupied territories are constantly under russian rocket and artillery attacks. A significant number of enemy personnel and equipment have been gathered along the frontline. From Kreminna to Svatove, the enemy is constantly attacking, but our soldiers repel these attacks and inflict damage to russians. In the occupied territories, the invaders regularly report on fake recovery – locals do not see any improvement in their lives. In Sievierodonetsk, there are only two pharmacies in the entire city. There are almost no medicines – everything must be ordered at high prices from Luhansk.

The collaborators threaten to deport people if they do not have a russian passport not from 1 July 2024, as previously planned, but from 1 December this year.

In 18 hubs in many regions of the country, administrators of Centres for Administrative Services are receiving reports of destroyed housing from Luhansk residents.

Artem Lysohor, Head of Luhansk RMA, said at a briefing that 37K applications have been submitted regarding destroyed housing, of which 21K have already been registered. The government and the RMA are developing a mechanism that will allow recording damaged and destroyed property in the occupied territories.

What is happening now in the north of Ukraine

Kyiv oblast

Kyiv City Military Administration reported that the air alert was announced several times and lasted almost all night. After the attack of the russian drones, no hits were recorded. Air defense forces discovered and destroyed all the enemy kamikaze drones with which the russian aggressors tried to attack the capital even on the approaches to Kyiv.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy informed that Leo Varadkar, Irish Prime Minister, arrived in Kyiv for a meeting with him. They discussed security, political and economic cooperation, and justice for Ukraine. Leo Varadkar, Irish Prime Minister, said that his country will allocate another EUR 5 mln for humanitarian aid to Ukraine and will train Ukrainian sappers and military medics.

Mykhailo Fedorov, Deputy Prime Minister for Innovations, Development of Education, Science and Technologies, reported that Samantha Power, USAID Administrator, visited Bucha. There was the presentation of achievements of the reconstruction and the first results of yeVidnovlennia. According to him, currently 27 461 applications for compensation of destroyed property have been received through Diia – 1 403 Ukrainian families have already received payments in the amount of over UAH 115 mln. A few days ago, the beta test of the second stage of yeVidnovlennia – compensation for destroyed property started.

Oleksandr Markushyn, mayor of Irpin, reported that the city implements a pilot project of ecological processing of construction waste in cooperation with the Japanese international cooperation agency JICA. According to him, Tanaka Akihiko, President of the agency, visited Irpin to find out about the needs of the city and the oblast, he saw with his own eyes the dismantling of a private house and inspected the operation of the equipment. The city received 13 units of construction equipment that will help dismantle and remove remains of buildings destroyed by the war, and by the end of the year they plan to send another 39 special vehicles.

The city council of Bucha reported that in the city, in preparation for the heating season, a new boiler house was built, which will supply heat to houses on Tarasivska Street. The local government plans to build two more boiler houses in Zdvizhiv community.

Ruslan Kravchenko, Head of Kyiv RMA, reported that schools of Kyiv oblast will receive 1K tablets for children’s education, which will be distributed among 90 educational institutions of the oblast from the Region of Ile-de-France. Educational tablets will be given to internally displaced children and orphans deprived of parental care.

Vitalii Klichko, Mayor of Kyiv, after a meeting with Matusz Vallo, Mayor of Bratislava, announced that in the near future, Bratislava will sent 25 city buses as aid to Kyiv. The mayors also discussed assistance in preparing for the operation of the rehabilitation center for military personnel, which Kyiv is creating.

Zhytomyr oblast

Vitalii Bunechko, Head of the Regional Military Administration, reported about russian attack with Shahed drones. As a result, an infrastructure facility and private households were damaged. Priority repairs are being performed in the areas affected by the enemy drone attack.

Zhytomyr City Council informed that at about 5 am, there were explosions on the territory of Chudniv community. The enemy shelling caused medium and light destruction. Regional Police said that as of 3 pm, there were about 50 reports of destruction of private households. Relevant services are working to eliminate the aftermath.

Viktor Liashko, Minister of Health confirmed that a complex rehabilitation department has been opened in Zviahel multi-field hospital. The department will be able to treat 640 patients in a year, including servicemen after bullet wounds, mine-blast injuries, joint replacement and other serious injuries. According to him, the government has also provided UAH 100 million for the completion of the surgical complex of Zviahel multi-field hospital.

Sumy oblast

Sumy Regional Military Administration reported that on 18 July, russians attacked the border area 9 times. Seredyno-Budska, Bilopilska, Krasnopilska, Esmanska and Khotinska communities were attacked. There were 53 mortar and artillery attacks in total. The shelling damaged three private buildings in Bilopilska community.

At night and in the morning of 19 July, the enemy shelled the border 8 times with 48 attacks in total. Bilopilska, Seredyno-Budska, Krasnopilska and Khotin communities were targeted.

Sumy RMA reported that last night, the Air Defence Forces destroyed 4 Shahed UAVs in the region.

Volodymyr Artiukh, Head of the Regional Military Administration, said the preparation phase of population evacuation from the border area of Sumy oblast is ongoing. The planned evacuation is being carried out within 4 districts but residents of the entire 5-km zone can go to other oblasts for free if they wish.

Sumy RMA added that Velyka Pysarivska and Nova Sloboda communities will receive assistance in developing a Complex Territorial Recovery Programme and a Community Recovery and Development Plan, launched by the U-LEAD with Europe Programme in Ukraine for 24 selected communities. 

Residents can get a free consultation with a psychotherapist or psychologist thanks to the pilot project “Station: Me”. This is a collaboration between the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), the government and civil organisations. Residents can receive consultations online, while offline help is currently available in Sumy, Lebedyni, Trostianets and Okhtyrka.

Chernihiv oblast

State Border Guard Service reported that russians fired twice at the border of Chernihiv Oblast on July 18. As of the morning of 19 July, 4 mortar and 3 artillery strikes were recorded on the territory of Snovsk community.

The “North” operational command reported that the village of Leonivka in the Semenivka community was shelled by the occupiers in the morning with a mortar. 2 explosions rang out.

Chernihiv RMA reported that 4 new communication towers are being erected in Chernihiv Oblast, three of them on the border to increase the reach of Ukrainian television. This was reported by the Chernihiv Regional State Administration. The construction of the towers and their connection to the network should be completed by autumn 2023.

Chernihiv RMA reported that there are already 26 digital educational centres created with the support of foreign partners in the oblast. Recently, such educational space has been opened in Ichnia. The primary objective of such centres is to provide safe access to distance education for children who cannot receive it in person.

The city council of Nizhyn announced that the creation of a Memorial and Alley of Glory to the Fallen Defenders has begun. A monument in the form of a Cossack cross, with a bronze sculpture of Oleksandr Matsievskyi as the central figure, is to be built near the All Saints’ Cathedral. The work is expected to have been completed by Independence Day.

A thousand “victory varenyky” were made for Ukrainian defenders by residents of Mena community. The culinary initiative was implemented with the help of the Mena Department of Culture, which was assisted by cultural workers from nine villages of the community. Together, they made a thousand dumplings with various fillings – potatoes, cabbage, cheese, currants and cherries.

Dnipropetrovsk oblast

According to head of the regional council Mykola Lukashuk, the Air Force shot down a russian drone over the region at night.

Vinnytsia oblast

​​ A support centre for veterans and their families was opened in Vinnytsia. This is the second such facility in Ukraine. At the centre, veterans will be able to learn the skills of a drone operator, master manufacturing professions, or become a veteran’s assistant.

Kirovohrad oblast

According to Head of the Kirovohrad Regional State Administration Andrii Raikovych, the russian military attacked Kirovohrad region with missiles in the morning. 

In the village of Novoarkhanhelsk, Kirovohrad oblast, people paid tribute to Iryna Shevchenko, who passed away due to injuries caused by the missile strike in Uman. Iryna had been under medical observation for 80 days and had undergone 5 surgeries.

Poltava oblast

According to Dmytro Lunin, Head of the Poltava Regional State Administration, russians attacked Poltava oblast with a UAV at night. 

According to Dmytro Lunin, Head of the Poltava Regional State Administration, 15 generators were sent from Poltava oblast to meet the needs of Ukrainian marines.

Cherkasy oblast

According to Head of the Cherkasy State Administration Ihor Taburets, units of Cherkasy de-miners have gone to Kharkiv and Kherson oblasts to eliminate russian explosive devices.

Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine

Zaporizhzhia oblast

Yesterday, russian forces attacked 23 frontline settlements 92 times. 78 artillery strikes hit the territory of Huliaipole, Orikhiv, Zaliznychne, Huliaipilske, Kamianske, Stepove, Plavni, and other villages along the demarcation line. The enemy attacked Olhivske twice using UAVs, thrice launched rockets on open territory near the regional center, and shelled Novoiivanivka, Olhivske, Temyrivka, Novodarivka using MLRS, attacked Orikhiv, Novoandrivka, Novodarivka, Preobrazhenka, and Piatyhatky with aerial bombs. There have been 34 reports of residential areas and other civilian objects being destroyed, including utility structures, garages, and an educational institution building.

It is likely that the occupiers plan to organize another armed provocation on the territory of the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant in the near future. The “Department of Military Counterintelligence” of the FSB is disseminating information among the personnel contingent about alleged preparations by the Ukrainian Security and Defense Forces to storm the Zaporizhzhia NPP. The occupier’s intelligence claims that at the end of July, there will be an “assault” on the nuclear plant, supposedly involving “assault groups” and unnamed “voluntary armed units of Ukraine.” The dissemination of such information may indicate the occupiers’ preparation for an operation carried out under a false flag, which could lead to a massive accident at the Zaporizhzhia NPP. According to available information, further simulated attacks on the plant are being planned with the aim of blaming Ukraine for them.

The russian military is creating a new threat to environmental and radiation safety on the ash dumps of the Zaporizhzhia Thermal Power Station in Enerhodar. For the past month, residents of the city have regularly observed significant smog on the streets caused by the spreading of dust from the ash dumps of the Zaporizhzhia TPP. Ash dumps are storage areas for ash and slag generated during the combustion of solid fuel at thermal power plants. These waste materials contain high concentrations of toxic substances.

Wives of deceased servicemen may join the “Beloved, I’m Alive” project in Zaporizhzhia, which provides support for rehabilitation after loss. This project is an initiative of Aliona, the wife of the fallen hero Ilia Voloshyn, and is designed to assist the wives of fallen heroes.

Mykolaiv oblast

On July 18, russian forces conducted strikes on the city of Ochakiv. There were no reported injuries. During the night of July 18, two “Shahed-136” drones were shot down over Mykolaiv oblast. As a result of the aerial battles and the falling debris, there was a fire at recreational facilities in the Kobleve community. According to Mykolaiv RMA, two people were injured, with one of them being hospitalized.

Today, enemy forces shelled a five-story building in the center of Ochakiv. According to the Chief of the National Police in Mykolaiv oblast, Serhii Shaikhet, there are injured people. As of the evening of July 19, the police and the State Emergency Service (DSNS) are working at the site of the shelling.

A 19-year-old young man from Snihurivka was killed in Mykolaiv oblast. An unknown object that he found on the outskirts of the settlement detonated in his hands.

Odesa oblast

During the night attack on July 19, the russian army struck Odesa oblast with “Oniks” cruise missiles from a coastal complex in Crimea, as well as with X-59 and X-22 missiles from strategic aviation. Simultaneously, the attack involved the launch of Shahed-136 drones towards the south. The explosions caused damage to several multi-story buildings and hit grain and oil terminals, warehouses, and industrial infrastructure. Ten people were reported injured, including a 9-year-old boy. As reported by Odesa RMA, early three thousand people in the region were left without electricity due to the damage caused by the missile attack

The russian army attacked grain terminals and infrastructure at the ports of “Odesa” and “Chornomorsk.” The information was reported by the Ministry of Development of Communities and Territories and Infrastructure of Ukraine. The attack damaged grain infrastructure belonging to international and Ukrainian traders and carriers such as Kernel, Viterra, and CMA CGM Group. The port infrastructure involved in the operation of the “grain corridor” was attacked the previous night, resulting in damage to tanks and docks at the port of Odesa. According to the Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, Mykola SolskyiIn 60K tons of grain were destroyed in the port of “Chornomorsk”. This grain was supposed to be loaded onto a large-tonnage vessel and sent through the grain corridor 60 days ago.

Kherson oblast

Today, the russians shelled a gardening community in Ivanivka, Dariivka community. A local resident was injured.

During the night, the russian army attacked Kherson with Shahed UAVs. Around 2:00 AM, there were direct hits in the Shumensky neighborhood. The attack caused a fire in the House of Culture and damaged a two-story building. The State Emergency Service staff managed to rescue an 89-year-old woman who was trapped under the debris of her home.

Yesterday, the enemy launched 72 shelling attacks, firing 449 shells from mortars, artillery, “Grad” rocket launchers, aircraft, tanks, anti-tank guided missiles, and UAVs. russian forces conducted artillery shelling on the village of Veletenske and launched aerial attacks on the towns of Kozatske and Odradokamianka. The attacks resulted in damage to residential buildings. At least 8 houses were damaged in the village of Tomyna Balka due to enemy shelling. The city of Kherson was attacked with 31 shells. As a result of the russian aggression, one person was wounded. There are 34 criminal investigations opened regarding war crimes committed by russian forces in Kherson oblast.

The russian occupiers continue to plunder the civilian population, appropriating grain harvest from Ukrainian civilians. Since July 10, the russian occupiers have intensified the use of the port in temporarily occupied Skadovsk for exporting grain harvest to their ports.

The destruction of the Kherson Hydroelectric Power Station by russian forces left agrarians in Kherson oblast without irrigation. The total area of irrigated land in the region is 427K hectares, with 320K actively used. Most of these lands are on the temporarily occupied left bank of the region. The area of irrigated land on the liberated right bank is only 45K hectares. This year, only 131 enterprises sowed crops on the right bank, which is only 30% of the agrarians who were working before the full-scale invasion. The restoration of the irrigation system for the region is crucial. The lack of irrigation has become critical for growing vegetables, horticultural products, corn, and soybeans. Without the reconstruction of the Kherson Hydroelectric Power Station, it will be possible to restore irrigation using water from the Ingulets River and the lower part of the Dnipro River on an area of approximately 25K hectares. According to preliminary estimates, around 100 million hryvnias are needed for the initial measures and the restoration of irrigation on the right bank of Kherson oblast.

The repair of six medical institutions in the de-occupied territories of the region has been carried out with the support of charitable foundations. Over 4 million hryvnias have been invested in the renovations. The repairs have already been completed in the Kyselivka outpatient clinic, Myroliubivka and Olhyne FAPs (first aid points). Repair teams continue their work in Khrystenivka, Biliaivka, and Novovoskresenske.

Volyn oblast

In Kherson oblast, restoration work has begun. To this end, 17 residents from Volyn came there to help rebuild housing for the local population. In Blahodativka, 94 houses need to be restored. One of them is a paramedic-midwifery station, the rest are residential buildings. Among them, 17 structures were completely destroyed.

Lutsk and the German city of Schweinfurt officially became twinned. The agreement provides for the development of friendly relations and cooperation between partners based on principles of mutual respect, equality and mutual benefit, implementation of useful initiatives and projects, and cooperation in areas of common interest.

Zakarpattia oblast

Povazska Bystrica (the Slovak Republic) became a sister city of Uzhhorod. Implementation of joint cultural and sports projects is planned in the future.

A photo-documentary exhibition Communism of the 20th century = racism of the 21st century was opened in Uzhhorod. The purpose of the exposition is to draw parallels between the crimes of the ussr and modern russia.

Ivano-Frankivsk oblast

The military received 2 HP laptops and Canon multifunctional devices worth almost UAH 85K. Funds for the purchase of equipment were allocated from the regional budget.

The RMA reported that Ivano-Frankivsk Region received UAH 43 million in subsidies for the purchase of housing for 22 families of military personnel and veterans.

Lviv oblast

The 7th Carpathian detachment of the border service received 3 drones with optical cameras and 3 more with thermal imaging cameras worth about UAH 2 mln from Lviv IT Cluster.

The 710th military brigade of the State Special Transport Service received a pickup truck, batteries for radio stations and drones, a generator, food products, medicines, hygiene products, etc., from Chervonohrad region.

The military received two cars, a charging station and a DJI Mavic 3 drone from Drohobych region.

The regional clinical hospital received VAC machines from the KOLO CF. Thanks to new devices, the healing process of complex wounds in hospital patients will be reduced by 3-4 times.

Over 300 cyclists took part in the Gran Fondo cycling race in Lviv oblast. They covered 85 km and collected UAH 150K for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

In Zolochiv community, a project on the adaptation of veterans from the Union of Volunteers All-Ukrainian public organization will be implemented. Financial support will be provided by the Ukrainian Veterans Fund, Zolochiv community and the MHP-Community Foundation. Veterans will be provided with legal support and psychological assistance, advice on employment or starting their own business, as well as organizing activities for children and communication between families.

The RMA reported that two soviet-era monuments were dismantled in Strii region as part of the decommunization process.

Rivne oblast

The RMA held a meeting of heads of the security and defense sector of the oblast. Together with the military and border guards, they synchronized current needs for strengthening border protection. In particular, tetrahedrons, concrete blocks, concrete blocks, inconspicuous obstacles (confusion), barricades, etc. will be purchased with the funds of the defense budget. Separately, they talked about strengthening the protection of the sky in the north of Rivne oblast.

40 IDPs from Dnipropetrovsk oblast arrived in Rivne oblast. These are wards of Kryvyi Rih Psychoneurological Boarding School of Dnipropetrovsk Regional Council. Wards were provided with 24-hour accommodation in Rivne psychoneurological boarding school, 4 meals a day, hygiene products and rehabilitation products.

Ternopil oblast

Oleksandr Lypko from Ternopil oblast received the Golden Cross from Valerii Zaluzhnyi, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The defender voluntarily has been defending Ukraine from the enemy since 2015.

Khmelnytskyi oblast

Khmelnytskyi oblast has already allocated over UAH 24 mln to the restoration of Visokopill. With these funds, it is planned to carry out construction and repair works, purchase construction and other materials necessary for restoration works on residential objects.

Chernivtsi oblast

The delegation from Chernivtsi, headed by Mayor Roman Klichuk, is on an official visit to the sister city of Mannheim. They discussed prospects and directions of urban development, possibilities of further cooperation in the spheres of culture, education, sports and health care, and exchanged experience and ideas.

International support of Ukraine in the russian-Ukrainian war (russia’s invasion of Ukraine)

The Ministry of Defense of Spain reported that the country sent a field hospital to Ukraine, and next week will send four more Leopard 2A4 tanks, 10 armored personnel carriers and other equipment.

Kaisa Ollongren, Minister of Defense of the Netherlands, announced that the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg will send repaired M113 tracked armored personnel carriers to Ukraine in the near future.

Kostiantyn Koshelenko, Deputy Minister of Social Policy, reported that thanks to the yeDopomoha platform, over 5K volunteers from 54 countries helped almost 30K families from Ukraine.

The State Border Service reported that for 5 weeks, Ukrainian border guards underwent a military training course at the Infantry Academy of the Army of the Kingdom of Spain. Fighters practiced tactical medicine according to the MARCH algorithm, defensive and offensive actions, combat shooting. Practical classes were held on the territory of the military training ground.

Leo Varadkar, Irish Prime Minister, arrived in Ukraine and met with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to show solidarity with the people of Ukraine. He will also meet with Denys Shmyhal, Prime Minister, and Ruslan Stefanchuk, Parliament Speaker.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President of Ukraine, met with Akihiko Tanaka, President of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). They discussed the involvement of Japan in the production of demining equipment, the development of a network of rehabilitation centers for veterans and military personnel, as well as the production of energy equipment.

Ihor Zhovkva, Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, held a meeting with Karen Maktire, Head of the NATO Representation in Ukraine. They discussed key results of the Vilnius NATO Summit in the context of Ukraine’s interests and coordinated further steps to implement the relevant decisions made in Vilnius.

Andrii Yermak, Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, had a phone conversation with Jake Sullivan, US President’s national security advisor. The NATO summit that took place last week in Vilnius was discussed.

Ihor Zhovkva, Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, held an online conversation with Helen Blake, Deputy State Secretary for International and European Affairs of the Office of the Prime Minister of Ireland. They discussed, in particular, Ukraine’s next steps on the way to joining the EU and the state of adaptation of EU law.

Frano Matusic, State Secretary for Political Affairs of Croatia, announced that the country offered its own ports and railways for the export of grain from Ukraine.

Ireland is investigating how her company details ended up in a russian kamikaze drone. “We know about the downing of that drone; we are conducting an appropriate investigation.
