It has been the 661st day of the Ukrainian resistance to the russian military aggression. 

What happened in Ukraine today:

Here is operational information of the General Staff as of 6 pm:   

The enemy continues to violate the laws and customs of war, uses terror tactics, launches strikes, and shells both military and civilian targets.

There were 71 combat engagements.

The enemy launched a total of 3 missile strikes, 47 air strikes and 38 MLRS attacks at the positions of Ukrainian troops and various settlements. The russian terrorist attacks have resulted in civilian casualties and injuries. Private residential buildings as well as other civilian infrastructure were destroyed and damaged.

The operational situation in eastern and southern Ukraine remains difficult.

Towards Volyn and Polissia, there were no significant changes and signs of formation of an offensive group. Certain units of the armed forces of belarus continue their missions in the areas bordering Ukraine.

Towards Siversk and Sloboda, they maintain military presence in the areas of russia bordering Ukraine. The enemy continues its sabotage and reconnaissance activities, shelling Ukrainian settlements from the territory of russia and increases the density of minefields along the state border of Ukraine. The invaders launched an air strike in the vicinity of Bolohivka settlement, Kharkiv oblast. Over 20 settlements came under enemy artillery and mortar fire, including Zaliznyi Mist, Hremiachka, Chernihiv oblast, Novovasylivka, Khliborob, Baranivka, Volfyne, Hrabovske, Popivka, Sumy oblast, Udy, Kozacha Lopan, Starytsia, Vovchansk, Topoli, Kharkiv oblast.

Towards Kupiansk, Ukrainian defenders repelled 11 enemy attacks in the vicinity of Synkivka, Kharkiv oblast, where the occupiers, with air support, made attempts to breach Ukrainian defense. The enemy  launched air strikes in the vicinity of Ivanivka, Pishchane and Berestove, Kharkiv oblast. The invaders fired artillery and mortars at around 10 settlements, including Dvorichna, Synkivka, Kovalivka, Petropavlivka, Ivanivka, Berestove, Kharkiv oblast.

Towards Lyman, the enemy, with air support, made attempts to breach Ukrainian defense. Ukrainian defense forces repelled 3 attacks east of Terny, Donetsk oblast. The invaders launched an air strike in the area of Serebrianske forestry, Luhansk oblast. The occupiers fired artillery and mortars at more than 10 settlements, including Nevs’ke, Bilohorivka, Luhansk oblast, Terny, Tors’ke, Serebryanka, Verkniiamiansk, Spirne, Rozdolivka, Donetsk oblast.

Towards Bakhmut, Ukrainian defenders repelled 8 attacks near Bohdanivka, Ivanivske, Klishchiivka and Andriivka, Donetsk oblast. The occupiers launched air strikes in the vicinities of Minkivka, Druzhba, New York, Donetsk oblast. Around 10 settlements, including Vasyukivka, Markove, Bohdanivka, Chasiv Yar, Ivanivske, Andriivka, Donetsk oblast, came under artillery and mortar fire.

Towards Avdiivka, Ukrainian defenders repelled 17 attacks in the area east of Novobakhmutivka, Stepove, Avdiivka, and 10 attacks in the vicinities of Nevelske and Pervomaiske, Donetsk oblast. The adversary launched an air strike near Ocheretyne settlement, Donetsk oblast. The enemy fired artillery and mortars at more than 10 settlements, including Berdychi, Stepove, Lastochkyne, Avdiivka, Pervomaisle, Karlivka, Donetsk oblast.

Towards Mariinka, Ukrainian defense forces continue to hold back the enemy in the vicinity of Mariinka, Pobjeda and Novomykhailivka, Donetsk oblast. The enemy, with air support, launched 9x failed attacks on positions of Ukrainian defenders in the area. The settlements of Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, Mariinka, Pobieda, Novomykhailivka Donetsk oblast, were under artillery and mortar fire of the occupiers.

Towards Shakhtarsk, they conducted no offensives. Around 10 settlements, including Prechystivka, Urozhaine, Staromaiorske, Rivnopil, Donetsk oblast,  came under artillery and mortar fire.

Towards Zaporizhzhia, Ukrainian defense forces repelled 10x enemy attacks west of Novopokrovka and Robotyne, Zaporizhzhia oblast. Over 15 settlements, including Levadne, Malynivka, Huliaipole, Charivne, Mala Tokmachka, Novoandriivka, Zaporizhzhia oblast came under artillery and mortar fire.

Towards Kherson, the enemy fired artillery at the settlements of Ivanivka, Antonivka, Oleksandrivka, Kherson oblast and the city of Kherson.

Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to hold their ground on the left bank of the Dnipro River, Kherson oblast and inflict fire on the enemy.

Ukrainian Air Forces launched 21 strikes on the buildup of troops, weapons and military equipment of the russian invaders.

Ukrainian rocket troops and artillery hit 7 buildups of troops, weapons and military equipment, 2 air defense systems, 1 command post, 12.artillery systems, and 2 ammunition and fuel depots of the occupiers.


We managed to bring home three more Ukrainian children. The children are currently staying with relatives.

Ukrainians collected over 26 million hryvnias in less than 3 days for 5 thousand FPV drones. 3,000 “birds” will be equipped with thermal imaging cameras to launch “fireworks” at night.

Recent war events in the east of Ukraine

Kharkiv oblast

The defense forces repelled 11 russian attacks near Sinkivka. The areas of Bolohivka, Ivanivka, Pischane and Berestove came under attack by russian aircraft. At least 15 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire.

The russian army is redeploying the reserve of assault battalions towards Kupiansk to compensate for the losses. According to him, the russian army is seeking to capture the village of Synkivka in Kharkiv oblast to create a foothold for the occupation of Kupiansk: “This is an important hub, it can become a springboard for an offensive to the west, towards unoccupied Ukraine.

The Energy Minister reports that 435.households in Kharkiv oblast do not have gas supply: a gas pipeline was damaged during russian shelling. Over 16,000 consumers remain without power as a result of the hostilities in the region.

“Over 20 settlements in Kharkiv oblast were shelled with artillery and mortar, notably Chervona Zoria of Bohodukhiv district, Kozacha Lopan, Lukianets, Zelene of Kharkiv district, Dvorichna, Synkivka, Petropavlivka, Kupyansk, Ivanivka, Berestove of Kupiansk region and others,” said the head of the Joint Forces Operation Oleh Syniehubov. 

A summer kitchen was destroyed and windows in a house were smashed as a result of hostile shelling in Kupiansk around 11 p.m. There were no casualties.

In the village of Bohuslavka, Izium region, a private house caught on fire as a result of an enemy strike (previously – a Shahed UAV strike).

Around 15:30 in the village of Donetske, Izium region, an unknown explosive device detonated in the hands of a 15-year-old teenager. The victim was hospitalised. Doctors performed surgery, the victim’s condition is moderate. 

As a result of the bad weather, 9833 consumers in Derhachiv, Blyznyiukivka, Barvinkivka, Lozova, Pervomaisk, Chuhuiv, Zmiivka, Zolochiv, Izium and Vovchansk communities were cut off from electricity.  

20 teams of 80 employees and 43 pieces of equipment are working to restore power supply. The response is underway.

SES bomb squads inspected more than 3.7 hectares of territory and defused 67 explosive devices.

Donetsk oblast

On the eastern front, Ukrainian troops repelled 82 attacks of the russian occupiers. Avdiivka and Bakhmut sectors remain the most active battle zones.

Towards Lyman-Kupiansk, russians started using “homemade” drones to replace Lancet drones. Serhiy Dibrov, spokesman for the 21st Brigade, said there are more of them and they are quite effective.

“Ukraine is rapidly developing the UAV sector and there is a technological race with russia in this area. They have an advantage in numbers, while the Ukrainian military have an advantage in the speed of decision-making and changes,” said Oleksandr Borodin, spokesman for the 3rd Assault Brigade.

In Donetsk oblast, 36,000 families do not have electricity supply. According to the DTEK company, they managed to restore power supply to 33 households for over 17,000 families.

Russians shelled the centre of Kurakhovo with fragmentation shells, damaging several high-rise buildings and private homes. This is the third massive shelling of the city in the last two days,” said Anastasia Medvedeva, spokesperson for the Donetsk regional prosecutor’s office. 

Russian troops shelled Kostiantynivka in Donetsk oblast. According to the spokesperson for the Donetsk regional prosecutor’s office, Anastasia Medvedeva, the attack was carried out by russian troops at 20:10, the type of weapon is being clarified, and no one was injured.

On the night of 16 December, russians massively shelled the downtown of Kurakhove. The strike caused a fire in an apartment building,” said Veronika Bakhal, a spokeswoman for the Donetsk Oblast State Emergency Service. 

The night in Donetsk oblast was relatively calm, with no reports of casualties.

Towards Donetsk, Krasnohorivka, Novomykhailivka and Kostiantynivka were shelled in Mariinka community. In Kurakhove, 3 houses and numerous trade pavilions were damaged. 

Towards Horlivka, 5 houses were damaged in Chasoviy Yar community, and Rozdolivka of Soledar community was shelled.

Towards Lysychansk, three streets in Serebrianka of  Siversk community were shelled. Four attacks of  Lyman community was recorded.

Luhansk oblast

Under difficult weather conditions, our troops have to repel constant russian attacks. Yesterday, the occupiers moved towards Donetsk Terny, not far from Nevske, and also tried to attack Makiivka. All these efforts were unsuccessful for the enemy. At the same time, bad weather again made it difficult to use aircraft and drones. The enemy used them once yesterday.

Nevske, Bilohorivka and the territory of the Serebriansk forest came under artillery and mortar fire.

Luhansk Military Administration reportee that forced passport registration failed in Lysychansk. “The only report that the occupiers could boast of before was the recent so-called ‘first elections’. However, even people without any documents were allowed to vote, so this figure does not reflect the percentage of passport holders. There is still no passport office in the city. People have to go to neighbouring settlements to replace their documents.”

What is happening now in the north of Ukraine

Serhii Naiev, commander of the Joint Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, reported that in the Northern operational zone, the enemy tried to hit military and civilian targets with Shahed-type UAVs towards Kyiv and Chernihiv last night. All the drones were destroyed. Of the 14 UAVs downed in the Northern Operational Zone, 8 were hit by mobile fire groups armed with heavy machine guns, man-portable air defence systems and anti-aircraft guns.

Kyiv oblast

According to Kyiv RMA, at night, the capital was attacked by enemy drones. This is the 6 air attack on Kyiv since the beginning of the month. The UAVs moved in groups from different directions in several waves. Air defence forces destroyed all enemy targets. There were no hits or damage to critical and civilian infrastructure.

According to the Brovary city council, 2 off-road vehicles have been purchased for a territorial defence unit in Brovary. The vehicles were purchased at the expense of the local budget under the Territorial Defence Support Programme. The city will also allocate UAH 12 million to purchase trucks for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

An alley in memory of the soldiers was laid in Holosiivskyi Park in Kyiv. This was done in memory of the soldiers who died as a result of a terrorist attack on the night of July 28-29, 2022, in the colony of occupied Olenivka, Donetsk oblast. The 50 viburnum bushes were planted by relatives of the Azov soldiers who died in the terrorist attack and those who are still in captivity.

A safe learning space was created for students of Hruzke Gymnasium with donations from the sale of stamps. The shelter was repaired as part of the all-Ukrainian programme ZAKHYSTOK: Safe Education” programme launched by the KSE Foundation. One hundred schoolchildren study at the gymnasium in the village of Hruzke. The renovation of the shelter made it possible to enrol students from the neighbouring village of Byshiv, whose school was destroyed by russian troops.

Zhytomyr oblast

Zhytomyr RMA reported that Zhytomyr oblast continues its successful cooperation with UNICEF. A new stage of cooperation has been launched in Korosten, which will raise more than UAH 265 million to implement joint projects in 6 communities of the oblast. The projects will be implemented in Zhytomyr, Korosten, Olevsk, Zviahel, Khoroshiv and Andrushky communities with the support of the German state bank KFW.

According to the NGO In Touch Ukraine Foundation, training of mobile medical care teams took place in Zhytomyr. On December 14, the next stage of the Restoring Access to Medical Services in Communities in Zhytomyr Oblast project began.

Sumy oblast

At night and in the morning, russians fired 5 mortar attacks on the border areas and settlements of Sumy oblast. There were 13 explosions. The Krasnopillia (2 attacks), Bilopillia (2 attacks), Esman (2 attacks) and Znob-Novhorodske (7 attacks) communities were shelled. 

According to the Sumy RMA, yesterday, the border area of Sumy oblast was shelled 11 times, with 41 explosions. Bilopillia, Krasnopillia, Nova Sloboda and Znob-Novhorodske communities were under hostile fire. The russian military used artillery (12 attacks), unguided aerial missiles (10 attacks), drones (dropping 3 explosive devices) and mortars (16 attacks). 

Chernihiv oblast

According to the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, over the past day, russian troops conducted 7 air strikes and 1 mortar attack on the border of Chernihiv oblast. The Novhorod-Siverskyi community was under enemy fire.

According to the State Service for Special Communications and Information Protection of Ukraine, during the full-scale war, four additional towers were built in the Koriukivka community on the border of Chernihiv oblast to restore broadcasting. It is noted that Ukrainian broadcasting covers more than 90% of Chernihiv oblast.

Olena Kondratiuk, the Deputy Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, reported that the Republic of Latvia has allocated EUR 5 million from its budget for the reconstruction of Chernihiv oblast. 

Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine

Dnipropetrovsk oblast

Mykola Lukashuk, Head of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast Council announced that 2 enemy Shaheds were shot down by the military over Synelnykiv district. Falling debris caused a fire in the warehouse building. Nikopol region was attacked 11 times. Three injured in Nikopol itself. The men were taken to the hospital in a moderate condition. They were provided with the necessary medical assistance. The enemy used 7 kamikaze drones in the district communities and shelled 4 times with artillery. They hit the district center, Chervonohryhoriv and Marhanets communities. As a result of enemy attacks a high-rise building, 5 residential buildings, 2 farm buildings, an excavator, 2 power lines and fences were damaged.

Vinnytsia oblast

In Vinnytsia doctors removed a metal fragment from the patient’s heart ventricle. The operation was performed on a working organ without stopping blood circulation. Currently, the man feels well, is undergoing post-operative rehabilitation and is preparing for discharge.

A safety class was opened at Vinnytsia Lyceum No. 2. Students will be taught fire safety, mine safety, traffic rules, providing first aid and evacuation rules. Classes with schoolchildren will be conducted by teachers, employees of the State Emergency Service, doctors and psychologists.

Kirovohrad oblast

A fair of alternative Christmas trees was held in Kirovohrad oblast.

The Alternative Christmas Tree fair and sale took place for the fourth time in Oleksandria, Kirovohrad region. This is a charity event to help and support the Armed Forces of Ukraine. During these days, UAH 27 K were collected and will be sent to the Coordination Center of volunteers for the military needs.

Poltava oblast

The Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that at night in Poltava region an UAV was shot down.

Cherkasy oblast

The 89th security class was opened in Cherkasy. Safety classes are equipped with thematic areas, visual material and printed products, thanks to which children will be able to learn information quickly and more easily.

Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine

Zaporizhzhia oblast

On December 15, the russian forces conducted a total of 107 strikes on cities and villages within Zaporizhzhia oblast. They used 19 drones to attack Zaliznychna, Mala Tokmachka, Malynivka, Robotyne, Novozharivka, Shcherbaky, and Novodanilivka. Additionally, artillery fire targeted Huliaipole, Orikhiv, Levadne, Charivne, Luhivske, Bilohirya, Preobrazhenka, Stepove, Plavni, and Kamianske.

A new shelter was inaugurated in Zaporizhzhia to accommodate displaced individuals, especially the elderly, with a capacity of 40 residents. The shelter has seven bedrooms, three shower cabins, restrooms, six washer-dryer machines, and a kitchen. Accommodation is provided free of charge.

Ivan Fedorov, the mayor of Melitopol, reported that in hospitals located in temporarily occupied territories within Zaporizhzhia oblast, there is a shortage of medical staff, medications, and modern equipment. Additionally, individuals are required to possess a russian passport and insurance policy to access medical care.

The Center for National Resistance reported that russians are transporting metal from captured industrial facilities in the temporarily occupied territories of Zaporizhzhia oblast. This metal is being ferried to russia through the port in Berdiansk.

Mykolaiv oblast

Vitaliy Kim, Head of the Mykolaiv RMA, reported that on December 15, the russian forces conducted four artillery strikes targeting Ochakiv and Kutsurub communities in Mykolaiv oblast. No casualties or injuries were reported. Additionally, overnight on December 16, two assault drones belonging to the russian forces were destroyed over Mykolaiv oblast. There were no reported injuries. 

According to Inshe TV, the Police Department of Mykolaiv oblast reported that on December 14, Serhiy Makhno, Chief of Police in Mykolaiv oblast, held a working meeting with David James Parker, a Quality Control Specialist in Demining from the international company Tetra Tech. Parker also serves as Head of the department for cooperation with the National Police of Ukraine. Tetra Tech, an American company and a global leader in demining, has commenced operations in several regions of Ukraine and intends to operate in Mykolaiv oblast as well.

Odesa oblast

Southern Defense Forces reported that the russian military has stationed three ships in the Black Sea on combat duty, while one ship remains stationed in the Azov Sea. Missile carriers have been placed in their respective bases.

According to the official website of Odesa City Council, in Odesa, a Center for Social and Psychological Support for internally displaced persons (IDPs) has been inaugurated. Priority for accommodation in the center is given to those who are unable to rent housing, including individuals with low income, pensioners, and large families.

Kherson oblast

On December 16, around midnight, the russian forces attacked a medical facility in Stepanivka, located in Kherson oblast, using “Shahed” drones. The hospital building and vehicles sustained damage, but patients were unharmed as they were sheltered in a bomb shelter.

Alexander Prokudin, the head of the Kherson RMA reported that two individuals were wounded in Kherson as a result of the night attack. Additionally, russian projectiles struck near the hospital in Stepanivka, injuring a doctor who was present at work. 

During a nighttime drone attack by russian forces in Kherson oblast, the anti-aircraft defense units destroyed nine russian UAVs. Debris from the downed UAVs caused damage to administrative buildings and a medical facility in Kherson district.

A fire erupted in an administrative building in Daryivka due to a drone attack. The areas under russian fire also included Stanislav, Shyroka Balka, Antonivka, and Kherson.

The State Border Guard Service of Ukraine (SBGS) reported that border reconnaissance units in Kherson oblast, aided by FPV drones, discovered and destroyed a storage depot containing ammunition for russian military.

On December 15, the russian army bombarded Kherson oblast 83 times using various weaponry, resulting in injuries to four individuals.

Also, russian forces used MLRS to shell Bilozerka, damaging a company, at least 26 buildings, and vehicles.

Southern Defense Forces reported that in on December 15, they destroyed 11 observation posts, 11 units of armored vehicles, a “Grad” rocket system, a “Murom-M” video surveillance complex, two mortars, a cannon, and eliminated 11 russian military personnel.

The Police of Kherson region reported that as of December 16, 2023, in the de-occupied territories of Kherson oblast, law enforcement authorities have identified 18 locations where russian forces illegally detained and tortured Ukrainian civilians.

Latest news for today in the western regions of Ukraine

Volyn oblast

Representatives of Lutsk City Council recently visited the fighters who defend the state in the East of the country. They visited Lyman, Kupyansk, Bakhmut, Avdiivka region. A large batch of aid worth over UAH 25 mln was sent to the front.

Zakarpattia oblast

RMA held a meeting with Jin Choi and Ninke Woppen, UNICEF representatives. In the next year, the team of the international organization in the region plans to continue its work in various directions. About 170K children in Zakarpattia received humanitarian and other aid from UNICEF this year.

Zakarpattia Regional Council based on the results of the meeting of the monitoring committee of the cross-border program Poland – Ukraine, which approved projects in the field of health care in Warsaw reported that Zakarpattia hospitals will receive several million euros from the EU. These are projects within the cross-border program Interreg NEXT Poland – Ukraine 2021-2027.

The ADRA Slovakia CF sent humanitarian aid to Zakarpattia. Patrons from Japan presented children’s gifts and grocery sets. Gifts for the Christmas and New Year holidays will be given to the children of fallen servicemen and children from low-income families.

Ivano-Frankivsk oblast

Military medic Oleh Tokarchuk was awarded with the medal “For Saved Life” and the Order of Danylo Halytskyi from Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President of Ukraine. The regional award “Knight of Combat Rank” was also presented. Since the beginning of the full-scale war, the man at the front as part of the 10th bridge has been rescuing wounded defenders.

Lviv oblast

According to the Decree of the President of Ukraine, Maksym Devizorov was awarded the Order of Merit III degree on the occasion of the Day of Ukrainian Cinema. The film and theatre actor has been defending the state in the ranks of the 103rd separate territorial defense brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine since the beginning of russia’s full-scale war against Ukraine.

The award of the President of Ukraine “Cross of Combat Merit” was awarded to Vasyl Abramiuk from the village of Novyi Yarychiv. He defended Ukraine as part of the 53rd separate mechanized brigade named after Prince Volodymyr Monomakh. Now the soldier is undergoing rehabilitation after the wound he received in the battle near Avdiivka.

In Zolochiv region, Oleh Hrytsaichuk was posthumously awarded the Order “For Courage” of the III degree. The soldier was killed on May 12, 2023, as a result of gunshot and shrapnel wounds received during rocket and artillery shelling in Donetsk oblast.

In Strii region, in the office of the Coordination Center for the Support of the Civilian Population at Lviv Regional Government, representatives of the Right to Protection CF registered 125 IDPs to receive financial assistance from the UNHCR. The fund’s lawyer also provided consultations for 8 people.

An exhibition of paintings of the wives and mothers of the fallen Heroes was opened in Lviv Palace of Arts. The I draw with My Heart exhibition will last until January 15, 2024.

As part of the Christmas Convoy project, students from Germany prepared packages of sweets and toys for more than 60 children from Rava-Ruska and Kulikivska communities who are in difficult life circumstances, people with disabilities, and IDPs.

Rivne oblast

A sports-veteran forum was held in Rivne oblast. All state services for veterans and various types of benefits are becoming comprehensive. A total of 18 central government bodies are related to veteran policy.

Ternopil oblast

Ternopil City Council has allocated over UAH 190 mln for the Defense Capability Program for 2024. The program will be aimed at material assistance to military personnel, measures for territorial defense, reimbursement of the first instalment for the purchase of apartments under the eOsel program, continuation of work on the arrangement of the Pantheon of Heroes, creation of a rehabilitation center for military personnel, and others.

Khmelnytskyi oblast

At night, during the Air Alarm signal, in the area of ​​the air defense force, 1 UAV of the Shahed type was destroyed. There were no injuries or damage to property.

40 fpv drones were sent to the military unit from Khmelnytskyi. In addition, the city council awarded the fighters with Will and Courage awards, gifts, cash prizes and diplomas.

Chernivtsi oblast

Bohdan Mahalyas, Defender from Kelmenets community, personally received the Golden Star Order of the Hero of Ukraine from Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President of Ukraine. Combat medic, junior sergeant Magalyas defends Ukraine from invaders in Kherson and Zaporizhzhia oblasts. Under constant enemy fire, a man evacuates wounded servicemen from the battlefield and provides them with first aid.

International support of Ukraine in the russian-Ukrainian war (russia’s invasion of Ukraine)

Ukraine received the 3rd tranche of $900 mln from the IMF. Ukraine has already attracted about $4.5 billion of the $15.6 billion provided for in the program.

Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Denmark has provided Ukraine with about €2.8 billion in military aid, as well as €378 mln in humanitarian support.

Jonas Haar, Prime Minister of Norway, stated that the country will allocate $1.8 billion in aid to Ukraine by the end of this year and continue supporting the country from the first months of 2024.

At the summit in Brussels, leaders of the European Union decided to allocate €50 billion to Ukraine for the years 2024-2027. For this, the Ukrainian Fund will be created. Due to Hungarian Prime Minister Orban’s veto, these funds will not be included in the EU budget, but the European Union has a backup plan. It is expected that 26 member states will allocate €1.5 billion to Ukraine from next year.

Moldova will join the agreement on the international register of damages caused to Ukraine by russian aggression. In the first reading, 56 deputies voted for the draft law on the accession of Moldova to the partially expanded agreement on the register of damages caused to Ukraine by russian aggression.

The British government updated the sanctions list, adding one of the banks of the sanctioned russian state corporation rostec to it.  – novikombank. Sanctions include the blocking of the bank’s assets in Great Britain, the prohibition of correspondence with it, and the provision of services to it by British individuals and legal entities. In addition, Great Britain extended restrictions on over 20 russian financial institutions.

In Great Britain, the creation of a coalition for the development of maritime capabilities of Ukraine was officially announced. The key tasks of the coalition are to help Ukraine win a victory at sea, ensure the safety of civilian shipping and eliminate mine danger.

The British intelligence announced that the cyberattack on Kyivstar was probably one of the largest subversive cyberattacks on Ukrainian networks since the beginning of the full-scale war. In addition to communication, the cyber attack disrupted the operation of air-raid sirens and some banks, ATMs, as well as the terminals of retail outlets.
