It has been the 414th day of the Ukrainian resistance to the russian military aggression. 

What happened in Ukraine today:

Here is operational information of the General Staff as of 6 pm:   

The russian federation continues to wage a war of aggression.  It ignores international humanitarian law, conducts strikes and shelling not only at the positions of our troops, but also at civilian settlements. Over the last day, the enemy conducted 11 airstrikes, fired about 20 times from multiple launch rocket systems, causing civilian casualties.

There is still a high threat of missile and airstrikes throughout Ukraine.

The enemy has not yet abandoned its plans to occupy our territory, despite significant losses. It continues to focus its main efforts on conducting offensive operations towards Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Marinka. The fiercest fighting continues for Bakhmut and Marinka. Thanks to the coordinated actions of the defense forces and resilience of our soldiers, about 20 enemy attacks were repelled. 

Towards Volyn, Polissia, Siversk and Sloboda, the operational situation remained unchanged, and no signs of enemy offensive groups were detected. Some units of the territorial troops of the armed forces of the russian federation continue to be stationed on the territory of the republic of belarus. A comprehensive inspection of the combat readiness of the armed forces of the republic of belarus is underway. 

The enemy forces are still present in Kursk and Belgorod oblasts bordering Ukraine.

The occupiers fired on the settlements of Studenok, Iskryskivka, Volfyno in Sumy oblast, as well as Udy, Kozacha Lopan, Ternova, Starytsia, Hatyshche and Budarky in Kharkiv oblast.

Towards Kupiansk, Krasne Pershe, Dvorichna, Zakhidne, Masiutivka and Tabaivka in Kharkiv oblast came under enemy fire.

Towards Lyman, the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensives in the area of Bilohorivka. Novoselivske, Stelmakhivka, Nevske, Bilohorivka in Luhansk oblast and Spirne in Donetsk oblast came under artillery fire.

The enemy continues to conduct offensive actions towards Bakhmut. Heavy fighting continues for the town of Bakhmut. The enemy conducted an attack near the village of Predtechyne, but was unsuccessful. Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Novomarkove, Hryhorivka, Bohdanivka, Khromove, Bakhmut, Ivanivske, Bila Hora, Novodmytrivka, Kurdiumivka, Pivnichne and Zalizne in Donetsk oblast were affected by enemy shelling.

Towards Avdiivka, the enemy fired artillery at Stepove, Avdiivka, Vodiane, Pervomaiske and Karlivka in Donetsk oblast.

Towards Mariinka, our defenders repelled numerous enemy attacks in the vicinity of Marinka, Donetsk oblast. At the same time, Nevelske, Krasnohorivka, Marinka, Pobieda and Novomykhailivka came under enemy fire. 

The enemy did not conduct any offensive actions towards Shakhtarsk. Shakhtarske, Velyka Novosilka, Vuhledar, Prechystivka, Zolota Nyva in Donetsk oblast were attacked.

The enemy continues to conduct defensive actions towards Zaporizhzhia and Kherson. Settlements near the front line were shelled, namely Olhivske, Chervone, Huliaipole, Charivne, Mala Tokmachka, Novodanylivka, Orikhiv, Novoandriivka, and Stepnohirsk in Zaporizhzhia oblast; Stepanivka and Antonivka in Kherson oblast and the city of Kherson.

In some settlements of Troitske region, Luhansk oblast, the russian occupiers are strengthening the counterintelligence regime due to fears of information leakage about the location of their units. The number of patrols has increased. During house-to-house visits, residents’ cell phones are taken away. A ban on leaving settlements was introduced. 

Aviation of the Defense Forces carried out 3 strikes on buildups of occupiers’ personnel and military equipment, and the units of rocket troops and artillery hit 2 control points, 2 buildups of manpower, weapons and military equipment of the enemy, as well as a radar station and an electronic warfare station.


The press service of the Prosecutor General’s Office informs that victims and witnesses of russia’s war crimes will receive enhanced assistance. Previously, this applied only to the most sensitive categories of crimes: conflict-related sexual violence and crimes against children. 

Energoatom reports that a russian mine exploded near Unit 4 at Zaporizhzhia NPP. This accident resulted from the russian military’s mining the area around the ZNPP. 

Hanna Maliar, Deputy Defense Minister, informs that thanks to the medical forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the mortality rate of wounded soldiers has significantly decreased. This was achieved thanks to qualified medical care on the battlefield and properly planned evacuations, as well as the creation of a single medical space for military and civilian medical facilities.

Recent war events in the east of Ukraine

Kharkiv oblast

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, russians shelled at least 11 settlements.

The Regional Department of the State Emergency Service of Kharkiv oblast reported that the invaders attacked Kucherivka with Grad multiple rocket launchers. They hit a harvester with people in it. Three men were injured as a result of the shelling.

Ivan Sokol, director of the Regional Civil Defence Department informed that the demining group discovered an anti-tank minefield near Bairak on Balakliia – Husarivka road.

In the Kharkiv eco-park, more than a thousand pheasants, goldfinches, bone eagles, chickadees, snow buntings, and 15 squirrels rescued by volunteers were released into the wild.

On April 12, the enemy massively shelled settlements of Kharkiv, Kupiansk, Chuhuiv and Bohodukhiv regions.

According to the updated data of the Regional Centre for Emergency Medical Care, a 71-year-old man was killed in Dvorichna village, Kupiansk region, and a 75-year-old man was seriously injured and died in hospital. A 63-year-old woman was hospitalized with explosive injuries.

2 private buildings in Sotnytskyi Kozachok, Bohodukhiv region and a private building and a harvester in Ivashky village were damaged. 

A private household was damaged and a fire broke out in Kucherivka village, Kupiansk region.

Due to the shelling in Hatyshche village, Chuhuiv region, an educational institution was damaged.

De-mining is ongoing. Pyrotechnics defused 117 explosive ordnance.

Donetsk oblast

Brigadier General Oleksiy Hromov, Deputy Chief of the Main Operational Directorate of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, at a briefing at the Military Media Center, reports that towards Bakhmut, the russian military lost almost 4,500 people killed and wounded in two weeks of fighting. The total losses of the Russian Federation along the entire frontline during this period amounted to 7,700 soldiers, 35 tanks, 81 infantry fighting vehicles and more than 100 artillery systems. According to him, russian troops are advancing in the central part of Bakhmut, as well as towards Bohdanivka and Ivanivske, aiming to surround the city from the north and south.

According to the National Police Department in Donetsk oblast, russian troops attacked 10 settlements 14 times over the course of the day. A total of 23 civilian objects were destroyed or damaged.

In the middle of the night, russians launched a missile attack on Sloviansk, hitting the residential sector, damaging a school, 4 high-rise buildings and 3 private houses.

Towards Volnovakha, Vuhledar and Novoukrainka came under fire, no casualties.

Towards Donetsk, 1 person was wounded and 26 private houses were damaged in Kurakhivka. Another 2 houses were damaged in Berestky – the community was subjected to two Uragan attacks and one artillery attack. In the morning, the russians shelled  Soloviove in Ocheretyne community from Uragans.

Towards  Horlivka, the outskirts of Toretske, Chasiv Yar and Soledar communities were shelled – no casualties were reported.

Towards Lysychansk, in Siversk, a two-story building and several private houses were damaged.

Pavel Kyrylenko, Head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, reported that russians killed one resident of in Ocheretyne. Two more people were wounded in the oblast. 

Petro Andriushchenko, Advisor to the mayor of Mariupol, informs that in the temporarily occupied Mariupol, russians have started dumping sewage into a stream that flows into the Sea of Azov. This threatens to cause a cholera outbreak in the city.

Luhansk oblast

During the day, the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensives in the area of Bilohorivka. The russian army keeps hoping to capture this small town, but has been facing resistance from our defenders for months. This time, Novoselivske, Nevske, Kuzmine, Pishchane, and Bilohorivka were shelled with artillery.

In addition to artillery, the russian forces are actively using aviation in this area of the front. Over the previous two days alone, there were 17 airstrikes.

The National Information Bureau received information about the deportation of children from Luhansk oblast. A minor resident of Svatovo has been illegally moved to Saratov.

The National Guard units are fighting the most fierce and bloody battles in the area of Serebrianyi forestry, where the enemy is sparing neither its own military personnel, nor mobilized soldiers, nor mercenaries, and is conducting almost continuous assault operations. Thanks to the heroic actions of the servicemen of the 31st Brigade named after Major General Oleksandr Radiievsky and the 5th Slobozhanska Brigade, the enemy’s assault was repelled and the designated lines were held. In the course of the week, the Guardsmen eliminated 150 enemy soldiers and three units of armored vehicles. Units of the 1st Presidential Operational Brigade named after Hetman Petro Doroshenko eliminated 70 russian occupation troops and a mortar launcher in the area of Bilohorivka.

Oleksandr Striuk, Head of the RMA, says that selective checks of residents are underway in Sievierodonetsk. Only a few neighborhoods in the city are livable. It is there that the occupiers are organizing a demonstrative restoration of high-rise buildings. In total, 80% of Sievierodonetsk was destroyed. 60% of the houses cannot be rebuilt.

Brigadier General Oleksii Hromov announced during a briefing that in telephone conversations, the occupiers near Lyman are complaining about the lack of weapons and the inability to hold their positions in the event of a Ukrainian counteroffensive. 

In the temporarily occupied territories, russian occupying forces are dismissing doctors who refused to receive a russian passport and bringing in doctors from russia instead.

Towards Lyman and Kupiansk, due to heavy losses, the russians began to engage fighters from Kadyrov’s Akhmat unit, Bars special forces, and additional aerial reconnaissance means.

The Luhansk Regional Military Administration reported that in Starobilsk, the occupiers continue to form a housing stock from empty houses for touring musicians.

What is happening now in the north of Ukraine

Kyiv oblast

In Kyiv, pyrotechnics discovered the remains of a Grad multiple rocket launcher system (MLRS) during an inspection of the Mezhyhiria forestry area. The city administration reminds us that it is still dangerous in forests and green areas outside of residential areas – the capital still has a ban on visiting forests and entering them by any means of transport.

In Kyiv, churchgoers are allowed to attend night prayers in churches to celebrate Easter. The KCMA reported that those believers who came to the service before curfew can stay in a church all night until it ends. However, it is prohibited to leave churches and be on the streets or in other public places during the curfew. During an air raid alert, clergy and visitors should move to the nearest shelter.

Outpatient clinic destroyed by the invaders has been reconstructed in Makariv. The new modern outpatient clinic was built in line with the best international standards. It will serve more than 16K patients. In the near future, the medical facility will be replenished with equipment and open its doors to patients.

Kyiv received four more modern buses from German partners, which were donated by transport companies in Hamburg and Halle. According to Vitalii Klytschko, Mayor of Kyiv, Mercedes buses will soon be running on city routes. In total, since the beginning of the full-scale war, the capital has received 40 modern ambulances, 40 fire trucks, and 76 city buses from European partners.

Recently, MATRICE 300 RTK quadcopters with thermal imagers, batteries, and charging stations were delivered to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Kyiv oblast. This was made possible within the framework of the Joint Action Plan that was approved by the Memorandum of Cooperation between the SES and the Partnership for a Strong Ukraine Foundation. The project was funded by the governments of the United Kingdom, Canada, Finland, Sweden, Switzerland, the United States, and the United Kingdom.

The National Military History Museum displayed an authentic piece of equipment – a stabilizer of the Neptune rocket launcher assembly that resulted in the destruction of the russian cruiser moskva. Also, the museum displayed a life preserver and a signal beacon from the sunken flagship of the russian fleet. The items were provided by the Ukrainian Navy Command.

An Easter fair in support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was held in Desnianskyi district of Kyiv. There one could buy Easter cakes, Easter eggs, sweets, different goodies, rag dolls, and paintings – all these items are handmade by students, school and lyceum teachers, kindergarten teachers and employees of utility companies. UAH 750 K collected at the charity event will be transferred to the Come Back Alive Foundation for “Trymai”, the tactical first aid project.

Zhytomyr oblast

The Zhytomyr Regional Military Administration reported that on April 13, a French rocket “Arian-5” with a drawing of 8-year-old Yaryna Zakaliuzhna from Zhytomyr will fly into space. Her drawing won the 2021 international drawing competition of the European Space Agency. More than 2,600 children from 63 countries took part in the competition. The picture shows the planet Earth handing over a ship to Jupiter for research, and its satellites watching it with different emotions.

Three UAVs handed over by Zhytomyrteplocomunenergo employees to the military of the 95th separate air assault brigade. According to the management of the utility company, employees wrote applications to transfer their daily pay of their month salary to the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Sumy oblast

The russian forces launched 7 attacks on border communities, namely, Bilopillia, Nova Sloboda, Seredyno-Buda, Myropillia, and Esman. According to the Regional Military Administration, in total, there were 75 shells fired from mortars, artillery, and MLRS. As a result of the shelling, a petrol station and 2 private households were damaged.

The enemy continues shelling the border area of Sumy oblast. According to the regional military administration, Bilopillia and Nova Sloboda communities came under enemy fire in the morning. There were 61 shells fired from mortars and AGS.

Open Door Ukraine, Charitable Foundation from the Netherlands will grant 45 thousand euros to repair the roof of the school building in Soldatske, Trostianets community. Yurii Bova, Head of the community, reported that funds to restore the heating system, window replacement and classroom arrangement will be allocated from the community budget. The premises of the educational institution were damaged by russian shelling in the spring of 2022.

On the eve of Easter, Sumy librarians held a charity fair to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine. All items were made by the staff and members of Sumy libraries, and the raised funds will be used to support one of the newly created military units. A photo zone was set up for the fair’s guests, an exhibition of contemporary Ukrainian fiction was set up, and a concert by a choir chapel was performed.

Chernihiv oblast

The State Border Guard Service of Ukraine reported that Semenivka community came under enemy fire on April 12. The enemy shelled the territory of the community with self-propelled artillery systems. There were 5 explosions. The ‘North’ Operational Command reported that in the morning, there were 15 shelling attacks from barrel artillery recorded in the area of Halahanivka village, Semenivka community.

There are plans to create a unified Heroes Memorial Complex in Chernihiv to honour Ukrainian soldiers and create unified military traditions. Dmytro Bryzhynskyi, Head of the Chernihiv City Military Administration, the project financing, implementation, further improvement, and maintenance are currently being considered.

Employees of utility services, educational and medical institutions of Chernihiv will receive a one-time financial aid reward for their personal contribution to the restoration of the hero city from the consequences of russian military aggression. The City Council approved the list, which includes 2,270 people, for a total of over UAH 6 million.

With the support of UNICEF, five vehicles for the needs of medical institutions will be sent to the border communities of Chernihiv Oblast. As part of the “Care from Birth at Home” home visiting programme, they will be transferred to primary healthcare centres of Novhorod-Siversk, Semenivka, Snovk, Horodnya, and Ripka communities.

Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine

Dnipropetrovsk oblast

The Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration clarified the data on the consequences of the shelling of Nikopol in the afternoon of April 12. According to Serhii Lysak, Head of the RMA, in Nikopol, a private enterprise, gas furnaces and a power line were damaged.

A grenade exploded in the yard of a private house on Observatorna Street at around 10:00 p.m. the day before. An unknown person threw a grenade into a private yard. There were no casualties.

A grenade was accidentally discovered in a toilet of one of the Dnipro gas stations on Yantarna Street. The ammunition was found by the workers who were making repairs on the premises. They immediately informed the police.  The law enforcement officers found a disassembled grenade at the scene. The ammunition was removed. The authorities will investigate how the grenade ended up in the toilet, and who was involved.

In Kryvyi Rih, the Department of Press and Internal Policy of the Executive Committee of Kryvyi Rih City Council reported that 70 professions and specialties have been identified as the ones for which a voucher to fully or partially compensate for the cost of education in educational institutions can be obtained. The program applies to displaced persons and those released from captivity. 

Vinnytsia oblast

​​ It became known about the death of nine defenders from Vinnytsia: Mykhailo Krasiuk, Viktor Mykulsyn, Ivan Burdeinyi, Valery Harnov, Oleksandr Kudin, Bohdan Patsiora, Roman Kuhar, Anton Pidkapka, and Serhii Oliinyk.

Vinnytsia’s State Experimental Prosthetic and Orthopedic Enterprise manufactures prostheses for defenders from all over Ukraine. The Department of Primary Complex Prosthetics and Rehabilitation currently has a capacity of 32 beds. The prosthetics attachment is carried out entirely at the expense of the state. Defenders say that they don’t have to wait long for a prosthesis.

Borshch sublimation for defenders is prepared by the employees of the lyceum in Vinnytsia oblast. Over 700 packets were prepared by the employees of the Shargorod Lyceum.  The manufacturing process was launched last September.

Kirovohrad oblast

Yesterday, a theatrical concert “When the Cranes Fly” was held in Aleksandria. It was dedicated to the tragedy at the Oleksandriia airport, when russia attacked its infrastructure on April 15 last year. As a result, 12 servicemen were injured, and 6 killed.  At the event, UAH 36 K was collected for the needs of the military.

Poltava oblast

Oleksa Koba, soldier from Poltava, received the Steel Cross award from Valerii Zaluzhnyi for high performance in combat training and carrying out guard duty in everyday activities.

In Kremenchuk, two apartments were bought for the Heroes of Ukraine – pilots Vadym Voroshylov and Andrii Herus – at the expense of the budget of the city territorial community. The corresponding decision was first approved at a meeting of the city executive committee and then at a City Council session.

Cherkasy oblast

According to Ihor Taburets, Head of the Cherkasy State Administration, relatives of fallen Cherkasy policemen were awarded with 3rd degree orders “For Courage”.

Volunteers of Odyssey Cherkasy Charitable Foundation delivered another batch of humanitarian cargo to the east. This time, the city management joined in the formation of the cargo.

Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine

Zaporizhzhia oblast

According to the Zaporizhzhia RMA, russian troops attacked 19 civilian settlements in Vasylivka and Polohiv regions of Zaporizhzhia oblast. The enemy attacked three times from the air, once with MLRS, carried out 13 attacks with UAVs and 44 artillery attacks. Residential buildings and apartments were damaged.

The enemy attacked Orikhiv three times from the air. The private sector, high-rise buildings and a local factory were damaged. Emergency responders are already working at the site of the hits to eliminate the consequences of the enemy attack. The extent of the damage is being established. No information on casualties was received.

In the Melitopol district, russian military marauders are digging up graves for profit, breaking coffins and removing jewellery from the dead.

A russian mine exploded near the engine room of Unit 4 of Europe’s largest nuclear power plant. The sounds of the explosion were heard by Ukrainian nuclear workers who continue to work at the Zaporizhzhya NPP. After the explosion, the russians tried to ‘calm down’ the workers and quickly hide the traces so that the IAEA experts would not see it.

In Berdiansk, the invaders forced almost all representatives of religious organizations to close or go underground, except for the UOC-MP. The fate of Greek Catholic priests Ivan Levytskyi and Bohdan Haleta, who were detained by the occupiers last year, remains unknown. The fate of the pastor of the Bethel church is also unknown.

Root crops and greenhouse vegetables are exported by the occupiers from Melitopol and Kherson in incredible volumes: 500-700 tonnes of agricultural products per week.

Mykolaiv oblast

Mykolaiv RMA reported that on April 12, at 22:18, the enemy attacked the town of Ochakiv of Ochakiv community with MLRS. Information about the damage is being clarified. There were no casualties.

From Mykolaiv, volunteers sent 140 Easter cakes  to the Ukrainian Defence Forces. The Easter cakes will be delivered to soldiers from the 79th, 28th, 36th brigades and the 128th terrorist defense unit. The funds to bake them were raised as part of the Easter for the Military charity event.

An exhibition at the Vereshchagin Mykolaiv Regional Art Museum was dedicated to the anniversary of the sinking of the moskva cruiser .

Odesa oblast

According to the ‘South’ Operational Command, in Odesa oblast, the night of 12-13 April passed without any air raid alerts and, fortunately, without any shelling. However, the threat of missile and drone strikes from the enemy in Odesa region remains high. As the weather conditions are quite variable, the combat situation in the Black Sea is also constantly changing. As of the evening, the russians had put ten ships into the sea, but only one missile carrier with four Kalibres.

An ambitious project to restore Ukrainian cities was presented in Odesa. The authors already have preliminary agreements on cooperation with the authorities of Odesa, Cherkasy, and Sumy oblasts.

LBWS cats by Odesa street art artists have become chevrons and will travel to the United States to continue helping Ukrainians by drawing more attention to the war.

Borys Voloshenkov, First Deputy of the former head of the Odesa Regional State Administration,  will act as head of the region. Due to the long absence of the oblast’s top official, it is not possible to move forward with a number of pending documents. The appointment is intended to solve this problem.

Kherson oblast

According to the Kherson Regional Military Administration, russian artillery attacked the Dniprovsky district of Kherson. The enemy hit one of the parks. A man sustained injuries incompatible with life. In addition, enemy aircraft attacked the village of Zmiyivka in Beryslav region. russians hit the building of a local school with guided aerial bombs. The 62-year-old headmaster, who was in the educational institution, was killed on the spot. Another man, a 55-year-old school watchman, was wounded.

On April 12, a car carrying civilians hit an enemy mine in Kherson region. One of the men was killed and the other seriously injured. The tragedy occurred near the village of Tyiahynka, Beryslav region. A 38-year-old resident of the village of Snizhkivka, Izium region, was working in his garden when an explosion occurred. The man was injured and taken to hospital.

In Kherson oblast, the occupiers announced the so-called ‘nationalisation of Ukrainian oligarchs’ property’. Local entrepreneurs who refused to work for russia are being deprived of their businesses. The occupiers seize them and demand ‘re-registration’. However, most of the owners left the oblast at the time of the occupation, and those who remained refused to cooperate.

In the occupied Nova Kakhovka in Kherson oblast, russians continue to loot and seize offices. They are looting and taking away everything they can.

Polish philanthropists have donated 6 generators and 20 stoves to Kochubeev community in Kherson oblast. The donation will be distributed to shelters and communal facilities in the community.

Kherson oblast received the first six units of special equipment from the Japan International Cooperation Agency. In total, 2 excavators, 1 hydraulic hammer, 2 wheel loaders, 2 backhoe loaders, 3 dump trucks, 1 bulldozer and 3 tank trucks are to be delivered. This equipment will be used for emergency restoration work, debris removal, and restoration of water supply and sewerage.

Latest news for today in the western regions of Ukraine

Volyn oblast

The Main Department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine reported that rescuers from Volyn signed a memorandum of partnership and cooperation with firefighters and representatives of authorities of the Podlaskie Voivodeship of the Republic of Poland.

Volyn oblast will receive modern ambulances thanks to the funds raised through United24. In total, there are 12 cars, which, in addition to Volyn, will also be received by Ivano-Frankivsk, Rivne, Sumy, and Dnipropetrovsk oblasts.

Zakarpattia oblast

Zakarpattia oblast received two milk coolers from UNDP with the financial support of the British government.

The Regional Children’s Home received food and medical equipment for rehabilitation from Romania.

Soldiers undergoing treatment in one of the Uzhgorod medical facilities received food kits. Easter packages for defenders were given thanks to city educational institutions.

Ivano-Frankivsk oblast

Representatives of the Ivano-Frankivsk City Council went to the sister city of Nizhyn on a humanitarian mission. Easter cakes and humanitarian aid were handed over to the military through the OCU temple.

Ivano-Frankivsk oblast will receive modern ambulances thanks to funds raised through United24. In total, there are 12 cars, which, in addition to Ivano-Frankivsk oblast, will also receive Volyn, Rivne, Sumy, and Dnipropetrovsk oblasts.

Lviv oblast

About UAH 2 million was transferred from the regional budget to provide housing IDPs within the Program of Priority Infrastructure Projects in Lviv oblast for 2023.

A pilot project of the Ministry of Veterans by the Institute of Veteran Assistant will be launched in Lviv oblast. The idea is to help defenders to transit from military service to civilian life. The project provides for the introduction of the “Veteran’s Assistant” profession.

Residents of Rudkiv community bought a car worth $4,5K for servicemen from the Sambir military unit.

German partners from the municipality of Schwabisch Gmund sent 5 7.5 kW generators and one 60 kW generator for the needs of Obroshinsk community. Generators will be used to support critical and social infrastructure.

In Lviv, in the Garrison Church of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul, a joint prayer was held for the fallen soldiers of 24 separate mechanized brigades named after King Danylo. During the event, following the tradition of the brigade command and paying tribute to heroism and courage of the Heroes who were killed in the russian-Ukrainian war, another 50 families received the Hero’s Cross Order.

In Drohobych, representatives of the Children’s Parliament created Easter kits for families of soldiers who are currently on the front lines and in captivity.

In Dobrotvir community, the “Willow Bouquet for a Soldier” cultural project was organized. Willow vines were sold to collect funds for the purchase of necessary equipment for the military. Over UAH 33K was collected.

In the center of Yavorov, the “They are Watching from the Sky” rally was held in memory of the children who were killed by the russian army during the war against Ukraine. The local residents together with the priest prayed for all innocently killed children.

The 3d degree Order of Bohdan Khmelnytsky was handed over to the family of defender Myroslav Yurchyshyn. The soldier from Solonkiv community was killed on November 4, 2022.

Rivne oblast

Vitalii Koval, Head of the RMA, announced that Rivne oblast received UAH 30 million in aid within nearly a year of cooperation with the HOVERLA project. In particular, these are special rescue equipment and sets of equipment for it, computer equipment, generators, chainsaws, led lights, motor pumps, sets of rescue tools, sets of special clothing, etc.

Rivne oblast will receive modern ambulances thanks to the funds raised through United24. In total, there are 12 cars, which, in addition to the Rivne oblast, will also receive the Volyn, Ivano-Frankivsk, Sumy, and Dnipropetrovsk oblasts.

Ternopil oblast

In Ternopil, volunteers of the Unity Platform organized the Easter Charm for the Military event for the children of military personnel. Children made cards and other Easter products, which, together with Easter cakes and other goodies, were consecrated and will be sent to soldiers at the front.

Khmelnytskyi oblast

175 graduates of Kharkiv University of Internal Affairs in Kamianets-Podilskyi received their first officer rank. Due to the war in Ukraine, the University found shelter in Khmelnytskyi oblast.

Chernivtsi oblast

The RMA reported that the Regional Defense Council decided that the curfew in Chernivtsi oblast will last from midnight to 04:00 from April 15.

The Putylsk hospital received a Toyota all-terrain vehicle from the partner region of Swabia (Germany). It will be used to provide emergency aid to residents of mountainous areas.

The RMA reported that residents of Nedoboivska community sent a Mitsubishi Pajero car for the needs of the military.

Residents of Hlybocka community sent home-made pastry, canned food, essential items, hygiene kits, metal utensils, construction materials, medicines, and food to the military. Other communities also joined in collecting aid. In particular, residents of Kamianska community bought a car for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and the Yordaneshtsk school sent packages of goodies.

The Department of Health Protection of Chernivtsi oblast reported that employees of the Chernivtsi RMA once again participated in donating blood in the Chernivtsi regional blood service center

International support of Ukraine in the russian-Ukrainian war (russia’s invasion of Ukraine)

Joseph Borrell, Head of EU diplomacy, stated that the Council of the EU approved the allocation of EUR 1 billion for the provision of ammunition to Ukraine until May 31.

Denys Shmyhal, Prime Minister, announced that the World Bank will provide Ukraine with an additional $200 million to restore the energy sector. The funds will be used to rebuild the power grid and heat supply systems in Kyiv, Kharkiv, Mykolaiv, Sumy and cities of the Chernihiv oblast.

Janet Yellen, Head of the US Treasury Department, announced that in Washington, a plan has been developed to provide Ukraine with additional assistance in the form of grants, in particular to support energy security. It is planned that it will be implemented by September 2023.

Today, the first joint inter-committee meeting of deputies of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine with deputies of the European Parliament took place. According to Ruslan Stefanchuk, Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada, structural cooperation between the committees of both parliaments was launched.

The US Treasury has expanded sanctions against the russian federation.
