On March 30, there were 79 tactical combat clashes.
The enemy launched a total of 13 missile and 56 air strikes, 57 MLRS attacks on positions of Ukrainian troops and various settlements.
Towards Volyn and Polissia, there were no significant changes. No signs of an offensive group forming were noticed.
Towards Siversk and Sloboda, the russian army maintains its military presence in the russian areas bordering Ukraine. The enemy conducts subversion, continues shelling of Ukrainian settlements from the territory of russia and increases the concentration of mining operations along the state border of Ukraine. They launched airstrikes in the vicinities of Neskuchne (Sumy oblast), and Kruhle (Kharkiv oblast). Around 20 settlements came under enemy artillery and mortar fire, specifically Bleshnia, Hremiach (Chernihiv oblast), Kucherivka, Sosnivka, Marchykhyna Buda (Sumy oblast), Kudiivka, Strilecha, and Pletenivka (Kharkiv oblast).
Towards Kupiansk, no enemy offensive operations were reported. The russian army launched airstrikes in the vicinities of Hryhorivka, Synkivka, and Petropavlivka (Kharkiv oblast). The invaders fired artillery and mortars at more than 10 settlements, including Dvorichna, Synkivka, Petropavlivka, and Pishchane (Kharkiv oblast).
Towards Lyman, the Ukrainian defenders repelled 5 assaults in the vicinities of Terny (Donetsk oblast) and Bilohorivka (Luhansk oblast), where the enemy, with air support, made attempts to breach Ukrainian defence. The occupiers launched airstrikes in the vicinities of Yampolivka, and Rozdolivka (Donetsk oblast). The enemy fired artillery and mortars at more than 10 settlements, including Bilohorivka (Luhansk oblast), Vyimka, and Rozdolivka (Donetsk oblast).
Towards Bakhmut, the Ukrainian defenders repelled 4 attacks in the vicinities of Chasiv Yar, Ivanivske, Klishchiivka (Donetsk oblast), where the invaders, using air attacks, made attempts to improve their tactical position. More than 10 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire, including Bohdanivka, Chasiv Yar, Klishchiivka, and Dyliivka (Donetsk oblast).
Towards Avdiivka, the Ukrainian defenders repelled 16 attacks in the vicinities of Berdychi, Umanske, Pervomaiske, and Nevelske (Donetsk oblast), where the occupiers made attempts to dislodge Ukrainian forces from their positions. The invaders fired artillery and mortars at around 20 settlements, including Novobakhmutivka, Semenivka, Umanske, and Netailove (Donetsk oblast).
Towards Novopavlivka, the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to block the enemy near Krasnohorivka, Pobieda, Novomykhailivka and east of Vodiane (Donetsk oblast), where the invaders, using air attacks, made over 30 attempts to breach Ukrainian defence. The occupiers launched an airstrike in the vicinity of Oleksandropil (Donetsk oblast). The enemy fired artillery and mortars at more than 10 settlements, including Krasnohorivka, Kostiantynivka, and Vuhledar (Donetsk oblast).
Towards Orikhiv, with air support, the enemy conducted 5 attacks on positions of Ukrainian defenders in the vicinities of Staromaiorske (Donetsk oblast) and Robotyne (Zaporizhzhia oblast). They launched an airstrike in the vicinity of Malynivka (Zaporizhzhia oblast). More than 10 settlements, including Poltavka, Chervone, Novodanylivka, and Mali Shcherbaky (Zaporizhzhia oblast), were under artillery and mortar fire.
Towards Kherson, the enemy executed 1 assault on positions of Ukrainian defenders on the left bank of the Dnipro. The occupiers fired artillery and mortars at more than 10 settlements, including Zolota Balka, Beryslav, Mykhailivka (Kherson oblast), the city of Kherson, as well as Solonchaky (Mykolaiv oblast).
The Ukrainian Air Force launched air strikes on 3 anti-aircraft missile systems, 11 concentrations of troops, weapons and military equipment of the occupiers.
The Ukrainian Rocket Forces hit 4 radar stations, 1 command post, 1 concentration of troops, 2 air defence systems, and 1 artillery system of the russian invaders.
Rustem Umerov, Minister of Defense of Ukraine, says thSince the beginning of 2024, 97% of Russian missiles, bombs, and drones have attacked civilian infrastructure. The total explosive power of combined air strikes on the territory of Ukraine since the beginning of the year exceeds 9 kilotons.
Andriy Gerusa, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Energy, Housing and Utilities Services, informs that due to russia’s missile strikes on the territory of Ukraine, it is necessary to create hundreds of small power plants instead of large ones. He noted that energy facilities are not classified and it is almost impossible to hide them, because you can see where power lines and high-voltage lines go.
Recent war events in the east of Ukraine
Kharkiv oblast
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, this is a third day without russian attacks towards Kupiansk. During the day, Hryhorivka, Synkivka, Petropavlivka and Kruhle were under airstrikes and more than ten settlements in the oblast shelled.
Ivan Shevtsov, Spokesman of the Stalevyi Kordon brigade, reported that towards Lyman, russia is trying to reach the administrative border of Luhansk oblast, while towards Kupiansk, the enemy is recovering from the losses.
Oleh Syniehubov, Head of the Regional Military Administration, informed that the car park of the border defenders of Kharkiv oblast and rescuers of the regional State Emergency Service has been replenished with 21 vehicles.
Volodymyr Kudrytskyi, CEO of Ukrenerho National Power Company, confirmed that they have introduced restrictions in Kharkiv oblast. The situation remains difficult and restoration works are ongoing.
About 20 settlements in Kharkiv oblast suffered enemy artillery and mortar attacks yesterday: Veterynarne, Vovchansk, Potykhonove and others. Bochkove, Uspenivka, Khrypuny, Iziumske, Zybyne and Lyman were hit by airstrikes.
At 9:50pm, Hrasvke village, Chuhuiv region, was shelled by KAB bombs. As a result, a private house burned down. There were no casualties.
At 9:19pm, the shelling in Borova village, Izium region, damaged a two-storey building of institutions, 16 private houses, 5 outbuildings and a garage. There were no casualties.
At 8:10, an apartment was damaged as a result of hostile shelling in Synelnykove, Chuhuiv region. There was no information about the casualties.
At 6pm, a residential building burned down as a result of the shelling in Hrasvke village, Chuhuiv region, by the KAB bombs. There were no casualties.
A 28-year-old man was injured as a result of the detonation of an explosive object in Pokotylivka village, Kharkiv region.
At 3:26pm, the territory was hit by an unexploded ordnance in Malynivka, Chuhuiv region. There were no casualties.
At 3:20pm, there was an artillery shelling of Kupiansk-Vuzlovyi. The boiler room of the enterprise was damaged. There was no information about the casualties.
At 1:44pm, the shelling in Kupiansk damaged the building of a 4-storey administrative building, windows and balconies of a five-storey residential building. An 87-year-old man was injured.
On 29 March at 8:30am, Budarky village, Chuhuiv region, was shelled by UAVs. One private house was damaged. There was no information on casualties.
The enemy did not conduct any offensive actions towards Kupiansk yesterday.
Combined teams of bomb experts cleared 36.34 hectares of mines and destroyed 267 explosive ordnance.
Donetsk oblast
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported in a morning briefing that russian occupation forces continue to storm the positions of the Ukrainian military in Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts. The Ukrainian military repelled 65 russian attacks.
Ivan Shevtsov, Head of the press service of the Stalevyi Kordon brigade, informed that russian occupants are now more actively attacking the positions of the Defence Forces towards Lyman than towards Kupiansk. Yesterday they attacked 16 times near Terny and Bilohorivka.
The National Resistance Centre said that russians in the temporarily occupied territories offer people up to rub 100,000 for testifying about alleged crimes committed by Ukraine.
Selydove City Military Administration, said that at night russian occupation forces launched two S-300 missiles at Selydove. There were no casualties. Then in the mroning, they fired artillery at Selydove. Residential buildings and garages were damaged.
Donetsk Regional Prosecutor’s Office confirmed that russian troops also attacked Krasnohorivka. The artillery shelling killed two people and injured another.
The Office added that russian troops attacked Kurakhove and Kostiantynivka. Four people, aged 53 to 77, were injured.
DTEK’s press service stated that in the morning, stabilisation blackouts, which were introduced on 29 March due to massive shelling of power system facilities by the russian army, were cancelled in Donetsk oblast.
Two people were also killed and one injured in the shelling of Krasnohorivka. The town was under enemy attack during the night and morning and as a result, a 70-year-old woman and a 73-year-old man were killed. Another person was injured and taken to hospital.
Novohrodivka community received 21 generators from the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ). These generators will enable critical infrastructure facilities to operate stably even during blackouts.
The operational situation in the oblast as of the morning of 30 March is as follows:
Towards Pokrovsk, in Marinka community, 1 person was killed in Maksymilianivka, a house damaged in Krasnohorivka. An administrative building was damaged in Novohrodivka. In Hostre of Kurakhove community, 2 administrative buildings, a two-storey building and an infrastructure facility were damaged. Kurakhove and Ostrivske were shelled. In Selydove, 15 private houses were damaged.
Towards Kramatorsk, in Lyman community, 3 houses were destroyed in Terny, 19 houses were damaged: 8 in Kolodiazi, 4 in Zakitne and Terny, 3 in Ivanivka. In Kostiantynivka community, Diliivka, Oleksandro-Shultyne, Chervone and Mykolaivka were shelled.
Towards Bakhmut, 12 private houses in Chasiv Yar community and a non-residential building in Siversk were damaged. Villages of Soledar and Zvanivka communities were shelled.
In just one day, russians attacked settlements in Donetsk oblast 10 times. 462 people, including 41 children, were evacuated from the frontline.
Vadym Filashkin, Head of Donetsk Regional Military Administration, reported that yesterday russians killed one civilian in Maksymilianivka.
Luhansk oblast
The invaders stormed Bilohorivka day and night. The enemy had air superiority there but all ground attempts were repelled. An airstrike was also launched on Novoiehorivka. Nevske, Bilohorivka and the territory of Serebrianka forest were under artillery attack yesterday.
Yesterday residents of Makiivka and Hrekivka received a supply of bread from Krasnorichensk military administration.
According to Luhansk Regional Military Administration, the spring wave of forced mobilisation in the so-called “lpr” began with the conscription of men born in 1994-2006. Those, who turned 18 last year or this year, will be found quickly, because the invaders have been collecting personal data of young people over the past two years, specifically through educational institutions. Their whereabouts are known.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs of the “lpr” has also received an order to take all necessary measures to establish the actual whereabouts of citizens who do not report to military commissariats and to bring them in by force.
Artem Lysohor, Head of Luhansk Regional Military Administration, reported that kremlin has once again emphasised the need for a full passportisation of the population in the occupied territories.
The 155 mm TRF1 cannon of the 12th Azov Special Forces Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine destroyed enemy artillery and positions, eliminated enemy manpower in the forests of Kreminna.
What is happening now in the north of Ukraine
Kyiv oblast
Ruslan Kravchenko, Head of Kyiv RMA, reported that Kyiv oblast continues to construct fortifications to meet the government’s objectives. The fortifications include an extensive system of trenches, dugouts and other types of shelters. Barrier lines, namely “dragon’s teeth”, anti-tank ditches and other non-explosive barriers will be installed.
Another modern anti-radiation shelter was built in a school of Kyiv oblast. It is planned to be used as a sports complex, but now it makes it possible to organise a high-quality and safe educational process. The shelter will be used as a civil protection facility for students and the staff. The works were financed from the city budget.
In 2022-2024, more than 20,000 students from Kyiv oblast were trained in mine safety. The training took place as part of the project activities of the U.S. Embassy’s Democracy Fund in Ukraine. Classes are held with an emphasis on the practical mastery of the algorithm of actions required in the event of a mine threat. The practical course on mine safety was conducted by experts from the League of Officers NGO.
According to Kyiv City State Administration, experts from the State Research Institute of Building Structures examined a multi-storey building in Kyiv on Mokra Street, which was damaged during a russian missile strike on 2 January. The building was included in the list of priority reconstruction projects.
Vitalii Klychko, Mayor of Kyiv, reported that the local Patrol Police has received 11 BMW motorcycles as a donation from the Free State of Bavaria. The motorcycles are equipped with everything necessary for patrolling the streets. The received equipment will help the capital’s patrol policemen to respond quickly to calls and be more mobile.
On the occasion of the second anniversary of the liberation of the city and the entire Kyiv oblast from russian invaders, a ceremony was held in Hostomel to commemorate the fallen heroes-liberators.
Zhytomyr oblast
There are 175 Safety Classrooms established in educational institutions in Zhytomyr oblast. The State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Zhytomyr oblast regularly conducts safety classes for students and teachers in the oblast and makes them familiar with the basic rules of mine, fire and general safety. During the training, the rescuers remind the students of the algorithm of actions to be taken when detecting explosive devices and tell them about the main places where they can be found.
Two geographical locations in Zhytomyr oblast are to be renamed: Yurii Haharin Park in Zhytomyr and Zhovtneve Botanical Reserve (named after october revolution) in Zhytomyr district. Yurii Haharin Park is to be renamed Shoduarivskyi Park, and Zhovtneve Botanical Reserve is to be renamed Kvitneve. The renaming is based on the Law of Ukraine “On Condemnation and Prohibition of Propaganda of russian Imperial Policy in Ukraine and Decolonization of Toponymy”.
Sumy oblast
At night and in the morning of 30 March, russians fired 8 times at the border areas of Sumy oblast. There were 32 attacks with mortars, MLRSs and UAVs. Myropillia, Krasnopillia, Velyka Pysarivka, Svesa, and Znob-Novhorodske communities were shelled.
It is reported that the russian military carried out 25 shelling attacks in Sumy oblast. There were 92 explosions. Khotin, Bilopillia, Myropillia, Krasnopillia, Velyka Pysarivka, Kyrykivka, Esman, Seredyna-Buda, and Znob-Novhorodske communities were shelled.
Due to hostile shelling of Ukraine’s energy system, emergency power outage schedules are being implemented in Sumy oblast. All necessary measures are being taken to stabilise the situation and restore power supply.
Chernihiv oblast
Novhorod-Siverskyi and Semenivka communities were shelled three times by russians using various types of weapons. There were 32 attacks from mortars and cannon artillery.
Viacheslav Chaus, Head of the RMA, reported that every 5th enemy UAV flying towards the capital passes through the airspace of Chernihiv oblast. Last week alone, residents of the border area heard 274 explosions from various types of weapons. On the night of 29 March alone, the enemy used 99 air attack weapons across the country – 84 of them were destroyed.
According to Ihor Smilianskyi, CEO of Ukrposhta, the company will issue stamps dedicated to Chernihiv oblast. In particular, the cities of Chernihiv, Nizhyn, Semenivka and the village of Yahidne. The stamps will be put into sale on 3 April. This is another set of stamps from the Cities of Heroes series.
Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine
Dnipropetrovsk oblast
Mykola Lukashuk, Head of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast Council, reported that last night 4 Shahed drones were shot down. They were destroyed by the Air Defense Forces over Dnipro, Kamianske and Kryvyi Rih regions. The falling wreckage caused a grain elevator to catch fire and it was quickly extinguished.
Nikopol region was also hit twice. In the evening, the occupiers shelled Chervonohryhorivka community with artillery, and in the morning, they launched a kamikaze drone at the region’s centre. An infrastructure facility was damaged in Nikopol.
There were 19 attacks on Nikopol region. During the day, the enemy launched 16 drones at the region and shelled artillery. Nikopol, Marhanets, Pokrovsk and Myrove communities were attacked. The attacks caused a fire damaging several infrastructure facilities, a farm, 3 high-rise buildings, 10 private houses, a two-story non-residential building, a fountain, a monument, street lighting, an administrative building, 2 outbuildings, a car, and 2 power lines.
Vinnytsia oblast
In Vinnytsia oblast, students of Sharhorod Lyceum are weaving camouflage nets and making trench candles for the defenders. Two nets and more than 200 trench candles have been manufactured since the beginning of March to be sent to Zaporizhzhia front sector.
In Vinnytsia oblast, Shahed drones and missiles were shot down in two regions.
Poltava oblast
Filip Pronin, Head of the RMA, reported that the enemy once again attacked the region with an UAV. It is known that there were several hits to an infrastructure facility.
Relatives and friends of war prisoners organized a rally near Poltava City Council. This event is a reminder of the soldiers who are captured and go missing.
Cherkasy oblast
A new rehabilitation centre in Cherkasy region provides free treatment for soldiers after surgery.
Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine
Zaporizhzhia oblast
In Zaporizhzhya oblast, the russian army conducted 442 attacks on the territory of nine towns and villages:
- Mala Tokmachka and Robotyne were shelled three times by aircraft and nine times by MLRSs;
- 91 UAVs attacked Huliaipole, Levadne, Robotyne, Mala Tokmachka, Malynivka and Novoandriivka;
- 339 artillery strikes were carried out in Huliaipole, Orikhiv, Novodanylivka, Mala Tokmachka, Robotyne, Novoandriivka, Malynivka, Levadne and Vozdvyzhenka.
There were 28 reports of destruction of residential buildings and infrastructure.
The State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Zaporizhzhia oblast reported that as a result of shelling in Orikhiv, a fire broke out in a residential building (from the third to the fifth floor) over a total area of 450 square metres. Rescuers extinguished the fire. There were no casualties.
Ivan Fedorov, Head of Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration reported that on 30 March, the occupying forces shelled the village of Dolynka, Polohiv region, Zaporizhzhia oblast. As a result of the shelling, a 12-year-old child sustained a contusion.
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, on 29 March the Armed Forces of Ukraine repelled two attacks by the russian army near Staromaiorsk in Donetsk oblast and northwest of Verbove in Zaporizhzhya oblast.
The occupiers are setting up firing positions fortified with concrete blocks near the cooler of the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant. They are planning to deploy machine guns and anti-aircraft guns at the firing points. Such actions of the occupiers are terrorism, as they endanger the nuclear facility. Earlier it became known that the enemy deployed tanks on the territory of the ZNPP immediately after the visit of the IAEA Director General.
Ivan Fedorov, Head of Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration reported that towards Zaporizhzhia, construction of fortifications continues. Contractors have already installed 11,000 barrier pyramids of dragon’s teeth. They are manufactured using a special technology to provide maximum strength with minimum hardening time.
Mykolaiv oblast
On 30 March, russian troops fired guided missiles from tactical aircraft in the Black Sea at infrastructure facilities in Mykolaiv oblast.
The Armed Forces of the South reported that one X-59 guided missile was destroyed. However, it was not possible to avoid a hit, and a non-residential building was damaged. There were no casualties.
The military administration noted that on 29 March at 08:31, Kutsurub community came under artillery fire. There were no casualties. That day, russian troops fired five times at the water area of Ochakiv region. At 09:35, 10:03, 10:40, 12:04, 12:27, the water area of the Ochakiv community was shelled. There were no casualties.
Volunteers from Germany brought more than three tonnes of medical and construction products as humanitarian aid to Mykolaiv. Medical supplies and medicines will be distributed to hospitals and people, while tools and equipment will be given to village councils and local fire brigades.
On 29 March, a photo exhibition MYPH: Tattoos of War, dedicated to the residents of the city and southern Ukraine. The exhibition featured projects by five authors. According to the project curator Serhii Melnychenko, it was created as part of the support programme of the Museum of Contemporary Art and UNESCO. 5 artists received subgrants of $750 to create their own artistic photo projects.
Odesa oblast
The Armed Forces of the South said that during the night attack on 30 March, two drones were shot down in Odesa oblast. The drone strike lasted over three hours. The Shahed-131/136 drones were manoeuvring in several areas, trying to both expose and bypass air defence systems.
During the night attack, energy facilities in Odesa oblast were damaged, leaving more than 68,000 families without electricity. At 10:00am, electricity was restored.
On 30 March, Yaelle Brown-Pivet, President of the French National Assembly, and Ruslan Stefanchuk, Spokesman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, visited Odesa. They discussed comprehensive support for the city. During their visit, air raid warnings were sounded several times in the city.
Kherson oblast
The occupation forces launched ballistic missile attacks on open areas of Kherson oblast. They probably used Iskander-M missiles. There were no casualties reported.
The Armed Forces of the South reported that an iranian-russian Shahed drone was shot down in Kherson oblast at night. The drone destroyed was one of the 7 downed in the JFO’s area of responsibility and 9 across the country. In total, the russian army launched 12 UAVs from Cape Chauda in Crimea.
Kherson Regional Military Administration reported that on 30 March, the russian military shelled Stanislav, Kherson oblast. A shell fell and exploded near the gate of a private house and injured a 65-year-old man.
Roman Mrochko, Head of Kherson Military Administration, said that the previous night, the russian army attacked the central district of Kherson from the temporarily occupied left bank. In particular, non-residential buildings were damaged. There were no casualties.
Oleksandr Prokudin, Head of Kherson Regional Military Administration, reported that during the day, russian troops fired at residential areas of 12 settlements of the oblast using various types of weapons. The occupiers shelled Bilozirka, Veletynske, Kizomys, Sadove, Beryslav, Zolota Balka, Novooleksandrivka, Shliakhove, Novovorontsovka, Osokorivka, Tiahyntsi and Kherson. A multi-storey building, two private houses, a mobile phone tower and a warehouse were damaged. One person was killed and another injured.
Oleksandr Prokudin, Head of Kherson Regional Military Administration, reported that while working in a field near the village of Topolyne, a tractor driver hit an explosive device. As a result of the detonation, the equipment caught fire. The man was killed.
The russian military continues their insidious and cynical policy of changing the identity of Ukrainian children in Kherson oblast, namely by taking them to “educational events” in russia in order to assimilate with russians and affect their worldview. This is part of the strategy of Ukrainian people genocide, which is being implemented right in the 21st century.
Kherson Regional Administration reported that residents of Kherson oblast whose homes were damaged by russian shelling received humanitarian aid from the Prolisok Kherson Humanitarian Centre and UNHCR Ukraine. They received mattresses, pillows, blankets, jerry cans, lamps, thermoses, construction kits for home repairs, tarpaulin and OSB sheets. In addition to the clothes and construction kits, volunteers helped the elderly people restore broken windows.

Ivano-Frankivsk oblast
10 families of Heroes went on vacation to the Carpathians within the framework of the Care for the Hero’s Family project. During the week, 11 participants of the project, seven of whom are children, will be hosted by the Bear Mountain recreation complexes in Yaremche and Phoenix Relax Park in Bukovel. Six more parents of our fallen defenders will be hosted by the Verhovel hotel in Verkhovyna for five days. Comfortable rest and interesting leisure activities are provided them. The new season of Care for the Hero’s Family started at the beginning of March. During this month, 44 relatives of our fallen defenders visited the Carpathians on vacation.
Lviv oblast
During the 25th anniversary auction within the Birds of Victory charity project, UAH 14.5 m was collected for combat drones for defenders. This is an absolute project record.
Primary school students of Lviv oblast will receive school meals, which will be co-financed with the funds of the UN program. 41 educational institutions and about 7,000 primary school students in the oblast. The World Food Program of the United Nations implements the school feeding program in general secondary education institutions. Lviv oblast will receive over UAH 14 m for this year.
Rivne oblast
Rivne community sent a Ford Expedition SUV, brought from the USA to a unit fighting in the eastern front.
Meetings with families of prisoners and missing persons are held in Rivne oblast. They are organised by the Western Regional Center of the Coordinating Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War. Representatives of the authorities, police, the Security Service of Ukraine, Centers of Territorial Completion and the International Committee of the Red Cross are invited to participate.
Ternopil oblast
In Ternopil oblast, a department for IDPs was opened in Petrikivsk geriatric boarding house. As part of the implementation of the Humanitarian Response Swiss Red Cross project in July 2023, a memorandum was signed and a contract was signed for the reconstruction of the first floor of the boarding house with beds to meet the needs of the elderly and people with disabilities from among displaced persons. Currently, 23 people live in the ward for IDPs.
Khmelnytskyi oblast
In Khmelnytskyi community, 603 children were assigned the status of victims of armed and military conflicts.
An on-site meeting of the Coordinating Center for Civilian Population Support was held in Khmelnytskyi oblast. The purpose of the meeting was to actualize the activity of the Coordination Center and discuss problematic issues at the level of the oblast, regions and territorial communities.
Chernivtsi oblast
The RMA signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with the Caritas of the Chernivtsi Diocese CF. They agreed to continue cooperation in helping and supporting people who suffered because of the war and are living in Bukovina. The cooperation includes individual and group psychosocial support for families, relatives of war victims, local residents, and internally displaced persons.
International support of Ukraine in the russian-Ukrainian war (russia’s invasion of Ukraine)
Denys Shmyhal, Prime Minister of Ukraine, announced that this month, Ukraine will receive record budget funding from our allies for the entire war and the entire history of independence, namely, over $9 bn: €4.5 bn from the EU within the Ukraine Facility, $1.5 bn from Canada, $880 m from the IMF, $230 m from Japan, and $1.5 bn from the World Bank.
Belgium will allocate €100 m to Ukraine for F-16 maintenance. Lyudivin Dedonder, Minister of Defense of the country, noted that the government approved the 25th package of support to Ukraine.
Denys Shmyhal, Prime Minister of Ukraine, announced that Ukraine imports electricity from Romania, Slovakia, Poland, Hungary and Moldova in order for the energy system to function stably.
The European Parliament called to investigate the possible bribery of their deputies by russia. Alexander de Croo, Belgian Prime Minister, said that the russian federation bribed members of the European Parliament to spread propaganda. According to him, close cooperation between the Belgian and Czech special services was established this week to efficiently defeat the russian propaganda network.
In Poland, another rally to help the victims of russian aggression was announced. The Stand With Ukraine Foundation has launched a grant competition for projects of up to UAH 100,000 for organisations providing assistance to the war victims.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President of Ukraine, gave an interview to the CBS American TV channel. He talked about the need to strengthen Ukraine’s air defence, russia’s counter offensive actions and why US support is so important for the country.
Margus Tsahkna, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Estonia, stated that the country could have repeated the fate of Ukraine and become a victim of russian aggression if it had not become a member of NATO. In this case, the independence of the state could be under great threat.
