It has been the 765 th day of the Ukrainian resistance to the russian military aggression. 

What happened in Ukraine today:

Here is operational information of the General Staff as of 6 pm:   

On March 29, there were 61 tactical engagements.

The enemy launched a total of 38 missile and 59 air strikes, 72 MLRS attacks on positions of Ukrainian troops and various settlements.

Towards Volyn and Polissia, there were no significant changes. No signs of an offensive group formed were noticed.

Towards Siversk and Sloboda, the russian army maintains its military presence in the russian areas bordering Ukraine. The enemy troops conduct subversion in order to prevent the deployment of Ukrainian troops to threatened axes. The enemy continues shelling Ukrainian settlements from the territory of russia and increases the concentration of mining operations along the state border of Ukraine. The invaders launched airstrikes in the vicinities of Bochkove, Uspenivka, and Khrypuny (Kharkiv oblast). Around 10 settlements came under enemy artillery and mortar fire, including Zarichchya, Leonivka (Chernihiv oblast), Oleksiivka, Myropillya (Sumy oblast), Veterynarne, Vovchansk, and Potykhonove (Kharkiv oblast).

Towards Kupiansk, there were no enemy offensive operations reported. The invaders fired artillery and mortars at around 15 settlements, including Synkivka, Stepova Novoselivka, and Kotliarivka (Kharkiv oblast).

Towards Lyman, the Ukrainian defenders repelled 10 assaults in the vicinities of Terny (Donetsk oblast) and Bilohorivka (Luhansk oblast), where the enemy, with air support, made attempts to breach Ukrainian defence. The occupiers launched air strikes in the vicinities of Izyumske (Kharkiv oblast), Novoiehorivka (Luhansk oblast) and Yampolivka (Donetsk oblast). The enemy fired artillery and mortars at more than 10x settlements, including Bilohorivka, Nevske (Luhansk oblast) and Serebrianka forestry.

Towards Bakhmut, the Ukrainian defenders repelled 2 attacks in the vicinities of Klishchiivka, and Andriivka (Donetsk oblast), where the invaders by air attacks made attempts to improve their tactical position. The enemy launched airstrikes in the vicinities of Chasiv Yar and Ivanivske (Donetsk oblast). More than 10 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire, including Bohdanivka, Kalynivka, and Stupochky (Donetsk oblast).

Towards Avdiivka, the Ukrainian defenders repelled 16 attacks in the vicinities of Berdychi, Umanske, Tonenke, Pervomaiske, and Nevelske (Donetsk oblast), where the occupiers, with air support, made attempts to dislodge Ukrainian forces from their positions. The occupiers launched airstrikes in the vicinities of Novobakhmutivka, Mezhove, and Yasnobrodivka (Donetsk oblast). The invaders fired artillery and mortars at around 15 settlements, including Novokalynove, Novobakhmutivka, and Semenivka (Donetsk oblast).

Towards Novopavlivka, the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to block the enemy near Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, Novomykhailivka, and Vodyane (Donetsk oblast), where the invaders, using air attacks, made over 20 attempts to breach Ukrainian defence. The occupiers launched air strikes in the vicinities of Krasnohorivka, and Kostiantynivka (Donetsk oblast). The enemy fired artillery and mortars at more than 10 settlements, including Paraskoviivka, Kostyantynivka, and Vuhledar (Donetsk oblast).

Towards Orikhiv, with air support, the enemy conducted 2 unsuccessful attacks on positions of Ukrainian defenders in the vicinity of Staromaiorske (Donetsk oblast) and northwest of Verbove (Zaporizhzhia oblast). The russian army launched airstrikes in the vicinities of Orikhiv, Novodanylivka and Robotyne (Zaporizhzhia oblast).  Around 10 settlements, including Malynivka, Chervone, Bilohiria and Shcherbaky (Zaporizhzhia oblast), were under artillery and mortar fire.

Towards Kherson, the enemy launched 2 assaults on positions of Ukrainian defenders on the left bank of the Dnipro. The occupiers fired artillery and mortars at more than 10 settlements, including Tyahynka, Ivanivka, and Mykilske (Kherson oblast).

The Ukrainian Air Force launched airstrikes on 1 enemy command post, 1 anti-aircraft missile system, 10 buildups of troops, weapons and military equipment.

The Ukrainian Rocket Forces hit 2 buildups of russian troops, 2x anti-aircraft missile systems, and 1 artillery system.

Andriy Nebytov, Deputy Head of the National Police, says that there are 50150 people missing in Ukraine. This is four times more than before the full-scale invasion – 12292.

The Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War reports that Ukraine has returned the bodies of 121 fallen soldiers. In particular, 12 bodies of soldiers who fought in Luhansk sector, 107 fallen in Donetsk sector and two soldiers from Zaporizhzhya sector were repatriated.

Recent war events in the east of Ukraine

Kharkiv oblast

The press service of the city council said that in Kyivskyi district, utilities and volunteers have covered all the windows broken as a result of the attacks on 27-28 March and are completing the work in Shevchenkivskyi district. In total, almost a thousand windows were broken due to the attacks.

Oleh Syniehubov, Head of Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, reported that a FPV drone strike was recorded in Vovchansk on 28 March and as a result, a man died in an outpatient clinic.

The press service of the State Emergency Service in Kharkiv oblast reported that an OFAB-250 high-explosive fragmentation bomb was found in a garden in Ruska Lozova. The munition was seized and defused. To protect people, traffic was blocked for the duration of the war, and locals evacuated.

The press service of the Regional Prosecutor’s Office said that an 87-year-old man was injured in the shelling of Kupiansk. According to the press service, russians shelled the town by artillery at 1:35pm. An administrative building and residential buildings were damaged.

About 20 settlements in Kharkiv oblast suffered artillery and mortar attacks: Veterynarne, Vysoka Yaruha, Krasne, Synkivka, Stepova and others. Borova and Kupiansk were under airstrikes.

At 3:58pm, 11 private houses were damaged in Vysoke village, of Kharkiv region, as a result of an X-35U rocket attack. A 70-year-old woman was injured and hospitalised.

At 2:42pm, a private house was damaged as a result of russian aerial shelling of Kurylivka village, Kupiansk region. Two women, 53 and 55 years old, were injured.

At 2:35pm, three apartments were damaged in Kupiansk as a result of shelling by a UAV. A 42-year-old man and 1 other civilian were brought to the medical institution with injuries.

At 2:10pm, as a result of shelling in Monachynivka village, Kupiansk region, two private houses and an outbuilding were damaged. A 57-year-old woman died as a result of the injuries. A 31-year-old man was injured.

At 1:56pm, the enemy dropped a shell from an FPV drone on the primary healthcare centre in Vovchansk, Chuhuiv region. The roof of the building was damaged and a 59-year-old man killed.

At 12:30pm, a 53-year-old man sustained mine-blast injuries in the forest in Snizhkivka village, Izium region. He was hospitalised.

At 10am, at least 10 private houses and two civilian cars were damaged as a result of massive hostile artillery shelling in Vovchansk, Chuhuiv region. A 60-year-old and a 48-year-old man sustained gunshot and explosive injuries.

The enemy did not conduct any offensive towards Kupiansk yesterday.

Combined teams of bomb experts cleared 32.75 hectares of mines and destroyed 339 explosive ordnance.

As of today, 159 children have been evacuated from two communities: 39 from Vilkhuvatka and 120 from Velykyi Burluk.

Donetsk oblast

Commander Yurii Fedorenko reported that russian occupation forces continue to storm the positions of Ukrainian troops towards Bakhmut. They have concentrated their main efforts near Chasiv Yar.

Dmytro Petlin, Head of the operational and emergency service department of Donetsk oblast State Administration, informed that since the beginning of 2024, more people have left Donetsk oblast than have returned. This trend was formed due to the activation of the front line. At the same time, more than 3,000 children remain along the contact line in Donetsk oblast.

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Ukrainian military has restored the stele at the entrance to Donetsk oblast and installed flags of the Defence Forces.

The operational situation in the oblast as of the morning of 29 March is as follows:

Towards Pokrovsk, a person was injured in Novooleksandrivka of Hrodivka community. In Kurakhove, 20 private houses were damaged, Hirnyk and Yantarne shelled.

Towards Kramatorsk, in Lyman community, 2 people were injured and the administrative building damaged in Drobysheve; 2 private houses were destroyed and 4 damaged in Kolodiazi; 5 houses were destroyed and 2 damaged in Terny; 1 house was destroyed and 4 damaged in Ivanivka. In Mykolaivka, a person was killed, 11 apartment buildings and 12 private houses damaged. The outskirts of Kostiantynivka community were under attack.

Towards Bakhmut, 13 private houses were damaged in Chasiv Yar community. Siversk, the outskirts of Soledar and Zvanivka communities were targeted.

In total, russians attacked settlements in Donetsk oblast 15 times yesterday. 507 people, including 29 children, were evacuated from the frontline.

Vadym Filashkin, Head of Donetsk Regional Military Administration, informed that yesterday russians killed 1 civilian in Mykolaivka. Three more people were injured in the oblast over the day.

Luhansk oblast

Around Nevske, there were numerous artillery attacks yesterday. Also russians attacked the village from the air. Nevertheless, in the afternoon weekly bread was delivered to Nevske and Novoliubivka. It was distributed to every resident. Luhansk police also documented another war crime committed by the invaders in Nevske, another destroyed house.

There was fighting near Bilohorivka, where another russian invasion was repelled.

rtem Lysohor, Head of Luhansk Regional Military Administrative, reported that the so-called “lpr” adopted a “law” that provides for the identification, use and deprivation of ownership of residential premises where the owners do not appear.

According to Luhansk Regional Military Administration, the occupation administration of Rubizhne has started an inventory of social infrastructure facilities, like buildings, structures and premises of financial organisations, banks, pharmacies, trade enterprises and shops. In the absence of the owner or tenant, they will make the acts on the impossibility of establishing the owners of real estate and enter them into the occupation’s unified register of ownerless property. In the future, they will approve the right of municipal ownership of these objects.

 

What is happening now in the north of Ukraine

Kyiv oblast

The Head of Kyiv RMA Ruslan Kravchenko reported that during the night, the enemy launched a combined mass attack using rockets and drones. In the Kyiv oblast, the alarm was announced three times and it lasted almost all night. Air defense forces worked in the oblast. In several regions, operational services recorded falling debris from downed targets, two private houses were damaged. Hits to residential and critical infrastructure objects were not allowed.

The SBGS reported that during another enemy attack in the Kyiv oblast with strike drones, border guards of the Zhytomyr detachment shot down the “Shahed-136/131” unmanned aerial vehicle. Fighters of the border unit shot down the UAV with small arms, as a result of which it fell into the water area of the Kyiv Reservoir.

As a result of russian aggression, more than 3,300 objects were damaged in the Irpin community, including 3,100 apartment buildings and private houses. Through joint efforts, 1,600 objects were restored there, including more than 1,500 housing units. Also, 23 educational institutions, 13 health care institutions, and 5 administrative buildings and health centers were restored. This was discussed at the event “Every brick is important”, which took place in Irpin and was dedicated to the second anniversary of the liberation of the city and the restoration of the damages.

The Head of Kyiv RMA Ruslan Kravchenko, after a meeting with the German Ambassador to Ukraine Martin Yeger, said that Germany will continue to help Kyiv oblast in the process of reconstruction. According to him, they are planning to create an international rehabilitation center in Kyiv oblast, which requires significant investments. After the meeting, Martin Yeger visited Bucha and Irpin and familiarized himself with the progress of restoration works.

The State Emergency Service of Kyiv oblast reported that a fire-tactical training of rescuers and operational services of the enterprise took place in Boryspil region on the basis of a warehouse. A training situation was being worked out when, as a result of the debris of a downed enemy UAV falling onto the roof, an ignition occurred with the subsequent burning of the roof and the burning of the debris itself next to the warehouse.

Kyiv City Mayor Vitaly Klychko announced that Paris Mayor Anne Hidalgo visited the Ukrainian capital. Ann Hidalgo is visiting Kyiv for the fourth time during the full-scale war. Her first visit took place in April 2022, when the cities signed the Agreement on Friendship and Cooperation.

Bucha city council reported that information stands were set up in the center of the city, which tell about the hero cities of Ukraine and depict the heroic resistance of the Ukrainian people to the hostile russian invasion. They posted photos and a chronology of events that took place during the invasion of russian troops in Bucha, Hostomel, Irpin, Mariupol, Volnovaha, Kharkiv, Kherson, Chernihiv, Mykolaiv and Okhtyrka.

Zhytomyr oblast

On March 27, the Ovruch community opened a space for psychosocial support “I take care of myself”, where people traumatized by the war will be consulted. The space was equipped with the support of USAID on the basis of the communal non-profit enterprise “Ovruch center of primary medical and sanitary care” as part of the project “Development of a sustainable public health system”.

A training seminar on social work with military personnel and their family members was held at the training center of the Zhytomyr Regional Center of Social Services. The participants of the seminar considered in detail the important aspects of the organization of work in the field of veteran policy.

Sumy oblast

 On the night and morning of March 29, the russians carried out 7 shellings of the border areas of Sumy oblast, 35 hits from self-propelled artillery and mortars were recorded. Khotyn, Myropillia, Krasnopillia, Velyka Pysarivka, Znob-Novhorodske and Seredina-Buda communities came under shelling.

Sumy RMA reported that during the past day, the military of the russian federation carried out 28 shellings of the oblast – a total of 167 explosions were recorded. 12 communities of the oblast were shelled: Mykolayivka, Khotyn, Yunakivka, Bilopillia, Myropillia, Krasnopillia, Velyka Pysarivka, Putivl, Nova Sloboda, Shalyhine, Esman and Seredina-Buda.

The team of the humanitarian center “Proliska-Sumy” reported that the consequences of shelling of the village of Yunakivka with russian guided bombs are being eliminated. In the morning, the center’s workers brought construction kits for emergency housing repairs to the community and helped repair broken windows, roofs, and doors. The report says that as a result of the shelling, about 10 private residential buildings were damaged, and all residents of the village were left without electricity.

Sumy RMA reported that the first regional office of the “Made in Ukraine” platform has been opened in the oblast. It is aimed at micro and small businesses. Entrepreneurs will be able to receive qualified advice and information about support programs.

Chernihiv oblast

Chernihiv RMA reported that over the past 24 hours, russian troops have carried out 12 shelling of the border of the oblast. 4 communities were under enemy shelling – Novhorod-Siverskyi, Semenivka, Snovska and Horodnyanka. A total of 88 hits from mortars, barrel artillery and FPV drones were recorded.

Chernihiv RMA reported that Koropy community received two Mercedes ambulance vehicle. The history of these cars connected several countries and many caring people: an ethnic Ukrainian woman from Ripky, who lives in Germany, handled the paperwork, a charity fund from Norway bought the ambulance vehicles, partners from Germany helped with transportation, volunteer drivers drove them to Ukraine.

A youth judo tournament was held in Chernihiv in memory of Lieutenant Andriy Yurchenko, who died on August 30, 2023, during a combat mission in the Zaporizhzhia oblast. As reported in the Chernihiv Regional Council, in addition to honoring the memory of the Chernihiv hero and popularizing sports, the tournament was aimed at raising funds for a car for Andrii’s stepfather, who is currently in the ranks of the Armed Forces in the Zaporizhzhia direction.

Zinaida Maksymenko, director of the Mena Zoo in Chernihiv oblast, informed that the number of visitors to the zoo decreased by 64% compared to before the full-scale invasion. According to her, the problem of a shortage of male workers remains today due to their mobilization. Heavy physical work in the zoo is performed by women.

Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine

Dnipropetrovsk oblast

Mykola Lukashuk, Head of the oblast council, says that at night, the military shot down 1️0️ Shahed drones and 4️ missiles in Dnipro, Pavlohrad, Kryvyi Rih and Kamianske districts. However, the enemy hit the energy infrastructure. They attacked Kamianske region. Five people were wounded there, including a 5-year-old child. Two men, aged 36 and 47, were hospitalized. One of them is in serious condition. A country house burned down, 3 houses were destroyed, 4 more damaged, and 3 cars hit. In Kryvyi Rih region, an enemy attack also resulted in a wounded man, who received the necessary medical assistance.  The occupiers also fired at Nikopol region. They shelled it with artillery and a kamikaze drone at the regional centre. A shop and a trade pavilion were damaged in Nikopol.

In the afternoon, the russian army attacked Nikopol region again. A 39-year-old man was killed in Myrove community when an enemy kamikaze drone hit his car. A 43-year-old man was also wounded. He was hospitalized in moderate condition. In total, the occupiers launched 1️5️ kamikaze drones at Nikopol region in the morning, dropped a shell from a drone and fired about three dozen artillery shells. Nikopol, Myrove, Marhanets and Pokrovsk communities were hit. 12 private houses, a car and a power line were damaged.

The second recruiting centre of the Ukrainian army was opened in Dnipro. The purpose of creating such centres is to build a new model for attracting citizens to military service.

Vinnytsia oblast

Serhiy Borzov, Head of Vinnytsia Regional Military Administration, says that a private house was hit in Vinnytsia oblast as a result of nighttime hostile fire. 

The State Emergency Service informs that the explosion shattered windows, damaged the house, garage, fence and gas pipe. The fire was prevented. 17 houses remain without electricity in the village

.Kirovohrad oblast

Andrii Raykovych, Head of the Kirovohrad Regional Military Administration, reports that at night, four aircraft were shot down over Kirovohrad oblast. The drone fragments damaged the premises of one of the institutions in Oleksandriia region, breaking windows.

Andrii Raykovych, Head of the Kirovohrad Regional Military Administration, reports that due to the difficult situation in Ukraine’s power system, Ukrenergo has introduced emergency power outage schedules throughout the region. 

Kirovohrad oblast is among the five best regions in Ukraine where regional strategies for barrier-free accessibility have been approved. This was announced during a regular meeting of the Barrier-Free Council.

Poltava oblast

Filip Pronin, Head of Poltava Regional Military Administration, says that during the day, the air alert was announced 8 times in Poltava oblast and lasted more than 11 hours. 

The East Air Command reports that the Ukrainian military destroyed Shahed-136/131 drones in the oblast. 

Filip Pronin, Head of Poltava Regional Military Administration, says that Poltava region received electric scooters for social work specialists. The vehicles will be distributed among 18 communities in all regions of the oblast. This became possible thanks to a UNDP project in Ukraine with the support of the Government of Japan.

Cherkasy oblast

Ihor Taburets, Head of Cherkasy Regional Military Administration, at night, air defence forces shot down 6 enemy shaheds. The falling debris destroyed a non-residential building and smashed windows in a private household. In addition, the military shot down a cruise missile in Uman region. There were also missile hits on an energy infrastructure facility.

Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine

Zaporizhzhia oblast

Yesterday, the enemy launched 386 attacks on 9 settlements in Zaporizhzhia oblast. The russian military carried out 8 airstrikes on Komyshuvakha, Malynivka, Mala Tokmachka, and Robotyne. 27 UAV attacks targeted Huliaipole, Levadne, Robotyne, Mala Tokmachka, Malynivka, and Zaliznychne. 5 MLRS bombardments hit Mala Tokmachka, Robotyne, and Novoandriivka. Huliaipole, Mala Tokmachka, Robotyne, Novoandriivka, Malynivka, Levadne, and Chervonodniprovka were shelled with 346 artillery strikes. There were 56 reports of damage to residential buildings and infrastructure. A 67-year-old man was injured due to the crash of a UAV in Polohy region.

The General Staff reported that Ukrainian positions were attacked 8 times towards Robotyne, northwest of Verbove, and north of Priutne in Zaporizhzhia oblast. 

Border guards and fighters from the 23rd separate brigade of the Hortsia National Guard discovered and destroyed another long-range visual observation complex, Murov-M, during combat operations on Zaporizhzhia front. The complex was destroyed using a kamikaze drone.

UAH 1.3bn from the budget was allocated to construct fortifications in Zaporizhzhia oblast. According to Ivan Fedorov, Head of Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, fortifications are being built in three shifts by military and civilian engineers.

Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration announced the second batch of tenders for purchasing pickups, drones, FPV drones, and antennas. UAH 150m will be allocated to buy equipment for the military who fight on the Zaporizhzhia front.

A two-way traffic will be opened on the cable-stayed bridge in Zaporizhzhia on 30 March. Previously, it was one-way. This is done to relieve the traffic of cars passing through the Dnipro HPP and reduce traffic jams on Zaporozhzhia bridges as much as possible.

It is reported that the russians exported over 2.5 million tons of Ukrainian grain and about 200 tons of fruit and vegetables from the temporarily occupied territory of Zaporizhzhia oblast. According to Victoria Halitsyna, Head of Berdiansk City Military Administration, the invaders export and sell about a million tons of products to countries in Africa and the Middle East, and another million to russia. The russians use the ports of Berdiansk, Crimea, the Caucasus, and Anapa to transport grain products from the occupied part of Zaporizhzhia oblast.

Experts from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), who work at the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant, cannot access all areas of the station due to lack of access to verify information about the presence of russian troops and equipment in one of the turbine halls of the nuclear power plant. The agency’s team also reported that explosions were heard daily at various distances from the station over the past week.

Mykolaiv oblast

A delegation from Germany, led by Bundestag Deputy Beate Müller-Gemmeke, visited Mykolaiv. The German deputy noted that the purpose of her visit is to learn about the challenges currently facing the city.

The memory of those killed in the missile strike on the Regional Military Administration building was honoured in Mykolaiv. Today, 29 March, it is the second anniversary of the terrible terrorist attack carried out by the russian army, which struck the building of the RMA with a cruise missile. The search and rescue operation lasted for five days. 38 people were killed, and more than 30 people injured as a result of the tragedy. Colleagues and friends of the victims came to the site to lay flowers and commemorate the victims of the terrorist attack with a minute of silence on the anniversary of this tragic event.

Throughout 28 March, the russian army attacked Ochakiv and Kutsurub communities in the oblast.

The Regional Military Administrations and the South Operational Command inform that on the night of 29 March, air defence forces destroyed five Shahed-131/136 combat drones. 

On 28 March, at 09:53, the enemy shelled Ochakiv community’s waters. There were no casualties. Also, at 22:31, there were artillery strikes on the territory of Kutsurub community. There were no casualties.

Odesa oblast

Referring to the South Operational Command, after a week-long pause, the russian army deployed a submarine missile carrier in the Black Sea. It is equipped with up to four cruise missiles of the Kalibr type. The level of missile threat is very high. 

As Oleh Kiper,  Head of Odesa Regional Military Administration, reports, the russian army launched two guided aviation missiles from the Black Sea waters towards Odesa. They were intercepted and shot down. Debris fell in some areas of the city. Five people were injured, including three children. 

Oleksandr Kubrakov, Minister of Infrastructure, says that more cargo was exported in 7 months of the Ukrainian corridor operation than in a year of the “grain initiative.” The corridor accommodated 1140 vessels, which transported 33.8 million tons of cargo to 40 countries worldwide. Of these, 23.1 million tons were products of Ukrainian agrarians. 

Kherson oblast

This morning, russian forces attacked Beryslav with drones. Around 8am, a 45-year-old man was injured as a result of an explosive dropped from a drone. He sustained explosive trauma, as well as injuries to his hand and leg.

On 29 March, around 1:40pm, a tractor driver was killed while performing spring fieldwork in a field near one of the settlements of Vysokopillia community. While operating the machinery, the man ran over an explosive device left by the russian army, which detonated.

Yesterday, 1 person was killed, and 8 others injured due to russian aggression. According to Kherson Regional Military Administration, the enemy shelled Kizomys, Beryslav, Zolota Balka, Dudchany, Mykilske, Tiahynka, Novovorontsovka, Antonivka, Prydniprovske, Stanislav, Mykhailivka, Lvove, and the city of Kherson. The russian military targeted residential areas of settlements in the region and damaged 21 private houses. Also administrative buildings, a higher educational institution, critical infrastructure objects, a cellular tower, an agricultural enterprise, a farm, a store, garage and warehouse premises, and cars were damaged.

Oleksandr Prokudin, Head of the regional military administration, reported that 3 more children were evacuated from the temporarily occupied territory of Kherson oblast. The parents of the boys aged five, eleven, and fourteen addressed the Save Ukraine organization asking for help to leave the occupied territory. Currently, the families are in a safe place, where psychologists will work with them and provide rehabilitation.

Workers of Kherson museum have already identified 100 art works that were stolen by the russian military during their escape from the city. Like previous works, these paintings were recognized in videos by propaganda media. According to the museum staff, the video was shot at the Central Museum of Taurida in September 2023. Among the recently identified works are paintings by Ivan Shulha “Fishermen on the shore of the sea,” Yefrem Zverkov “Cloudy day,” and Venera Takaieva “Gyuzel’s Daughter.”

Volyn oblast

Reinforced concrete fortifications are being built in Volyn, including command and fire posts. Construction workers work on the sites on a daily basis and about a hundred special equipment are involved.

Zakarpattia oblast

Uzhgorod city territorial community allocated UAH 5m from the budget to support defenders. In particular, additional UAH 2m was allocated to implement the Program for the Organization and Support of Territorial Defense Units for 2022-2024 for measures in the field of defence capability and security of the country, and UAH 3 m was also provided for the Program for the Provision of Logistical Assistance to Chop Border Detachment for 2021-2024 .

Representatives of the RMA met with representatives of the Ukrhazvydobuvannia JSC. They discussed strengthening the energy stability of Zakarpattia by using natural gas to produce electricity at gas-fired power plants.

The RMA reported that Oleksandr Zinchenko, famous Ukrainian football player, joined the team of the 4.5.0 Recovery Center project.

Ivano-Frankivsk oblast

In Ivano-Frankivsk oblast, air defence forces shot down several enemy missiles aimed at an energy facility. There were no casualties.

In Ivano-Frankivsk, memorial bells rang out in memory of defenders who gave their lives for Ukraine. During the Bell of Remembrance, each Hero was remembered in a joint prayer. Families of the fallen servicemen were presented with posthumous awards, which are awarded for courage and selfless actions shown in the defence of state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.

Lviv oblast

That night, Lviv oblast was attacked by 11 enemy drones and two Kinzhal missiles. All 11 unmanned aerial vehicles were destroyed. The missiles were not shot down. Fragments of enemy weapons damaged critical infrastructure. There were no casualties or injuries. The life support systems of Lviv oblast are working normally.

Another Safety and Protection of Ukraine classroom was opened in Pustomytiv community. The updated room was equipped with simulated explosive objects, an interactive shooting range, and air rifles, as well as means of protection to provide first medical aid and learn how to operate drones.

Rivne oblast

Due to a possible increase in enemy attacks on military and civil infrastructure facilities, an operational headquarters was created in Rivne community to coordinate actions in case of threats and emergency situations and provide prompt response and eliminate potential consequences.

Rivne oblast will meet the 2nd evacuation train from Donetsk oblast. On this occasion, Serhii Podolin, First Deputy Head of Rivne RMA, held a meeting with specialised units and services. This time, people will be settled in five communities of Duben region. Previously, private houses and places of temporary residence were prepared in the communities.

Oleksandr Koval, Head of the RMA, announced that in February, residents of the region accommodated 3,910 IDPs in their homes. In this regard, Rivne RMA submitted an application to the Ministry of Reintegration for compensation for the housing costs in the amount of UAH 1.65m.

Ternopil oblast

Dentists from Ternopil City Dental Polyclinic went on another trip to the front to treat defenders of Ukraine. It was their 17th trip there. Currently, the dentists provide surgical and therapeutic care in Donetsk oblast. Almost 2,300 defenders have been treated on the front line due to the campaign launched.

Khmelnytskyi oblast

During the repulse of the air attack, 3 enemy targets were shot down within the oblast. 6 private residential buildings and the swimming pool of the children’s camp were damaged. Windows and roofs were damaged. There are no casualties.

Chernivtsi oblast

In Chernivtsi oblast, air defence forces shot down enemy missiles aimed at an energy facility. Employees of the main offices of the State Emergency Service and the National Police are working at the site of the rocket debris fall. There are no casualties reported. Investigation is ongoing. Currently, the oblast’s energy system is operating normally.

Chernivtsi City Council will send 160 quadcopters, 4 hand-held anti-aircraft LED searchlights and tires to the military. In addition, UAH 5m was allocated to support the Armed Forces. According to the requests of the military, 125 quadcopters will be purchased.

International support of Ukraine in the russian-Ukrainian war (russia’s invasion of Ukraine)

Germany announced a new supply of military aid to Ukraine, which includes 5 Warthog all-terrain maintenance and evacuation tracked vehicles, 9 Warthog all-terrain command tracked vehicles, Leopard 2 A6 tank ammunition, 18,000 155mm artillery rounds, 14 Vector reconnaissance UAVs with spare parts, 30 RQ-35 reconnaissance UAVs Heidrun, 5 anti-UAV jamming generators, 180 RF 360 field kits – UAV detection systems, 6 WISENT 1 tank minesweepers, 2 BIBER armoured bridge layer and spare parts for them, one Bergepanzer 2 BREM with spare parts, 9 minesweepers, a SATCOM surveillance system, 330 infrared cameras, 3 border patrol cars, 6 Zetros tankers, 2,000 RGW 90 Matador hand-held anti-tank grenade launchers, 24,000 40 mm ammunition, 70 GMG grenade launchers and 2 emergency power generators.

Ukraine received a $1.5 bn loan to support its development policy from Japan and Great Britain through the mechanism of the World Bank. The prerequisite for receiving the tranche was the fulfilment of the necessary 8 requirements under the program, in particular, harmonisation of  Ukraine’s customs and tax legislation with EU norms, improvement of fiscal policy and regulation of capital markets, ensuring transparency and accountability in the electronic procurement system.

Ukraine signed an agreement with the US on the postponement of payments on the national debt. According to information on the website of the Ministry of Finance, Ukraine’s national debt to the US at the end of February this year amounted to UAH 0.2 bn.

Japan extended trade sanctions against russia for a year. The term of validity of the anti-russian restrictions imposed by Tokyo is one year, after which the country’s government extends them for the next year. That is, the current decision became the second extension of the sanction period.

The IAEA‘s report dated 28 March 2024 stated that experts, who were on the site of the temporarily occupied station, recorded the sounds of artillery fire from the territory of the ZNPP.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President of Ukraine, met with the delegation of the Renew Europe political group of the European Parliament led by Valerie Aye, President of the group. They discussed in detail the acceleration of military aid to Ukraine, possible ways of countering russian propaganda in Europe, as well as the European integration of Ukraine.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President of Ukraine, had a phone conversation with Mike Johnson, Speaker of the House of Representatives. The President told him about the situation on the battlefield and emphasised that only last week Ukrainian cities and communities were hit by 190 rockets, 140 Shahed and 700 anti-aircraft missiles. The largest Ukrainian hydroelectric power station is out of order.

Oksana Zholnovych, Minister of Social Policy of Ukraine, met with Agnieszka Dziemyanovych-Bonk, Minister of Family, Labor and Social Policy of the Republic of Poland. Several joint decisions were made at the meeting, which directly affected the well-being of Ukrainians in Poland, in particular, of children without parental care.
