It has been the 1493 rd day of the Ukrainian resistance to the russian military aggression. 

 

What happened in Ukraine today:

Here is operational information of the General Staff as of 4 pm:   

On 27 March, the number of enemy attacks stood at 66.

Shelling of border territories continues. Today, in Sumy oblast, the settlements of Korenok, Bachivsk, Tovstodubove, Ryzhivka, Volfyne, Doroshivka, Hirky, Rohizne, Sosnivka, Vyntorivka, Studenok, and Esman sustained strikes. In Chernihiv oblast, Mykhalchyna Sloboda and Zoria came under fire.

Towards Northern Sloboda and Kursk, two combat engagements with the adversary are ongoing. Today, the enemy conducted 50 shellings of settlements and our troops’ positions, five of which involved MLRS.

Towards Southern Sloboda, the adversary attacked once in the vicinity of Zybyne.

Towards Kupiansk, the adversary carried out four assaults on our troops’ positions in the vicinity of Petropavlivka, Kurylivka, Podoly, and Novoosynove. One combat engagement is still ongoing.

Towards Lyman, the enemy has attacked our defenders’ positions six times in the vicinity of Novoserhiivka, Stavky, Drobysheve, and Lyman, and in the vicinity of Serednie. One battle is ongoing.

Towards Sloviansk, the adversary attacked twice in the vicinity of Rai-Oleksandrivka. One battle is still ongoing.

Towards Kramatorsk, the enemy conducted three offensive actions in the vicinity of Markove and Chervone.

Towards Kostiantynivka, the invaders carried out 22 offensive actions in the vicinity of Kostiantynivka, Ivanopillia, Illinivka, Stepanivka, and Novopavlivka, and in the vicinity of Pleshchiivka, Rusyn Yar, Yablunivka, and Sofiivka. Two combat engagements are still ongoing.

Since the beginning of the day, the Defense Forces repelled 22 enemy assault actions towards Pokrovsk in the vicinity of Nykanorivka, Myrnohrad, Rodynske, Pokrovsk, Hryshyne, Kotlyne, Udachne, Muravka, and Novomykolaivka, and in the vicinity of Kucheriv Yar, Bilytske, Nove Shakhoive, Novopidhorodne, and Novopavlivka. Four combat engagements have not yet concluded.

Towards Oleksandrivka, the enemy conducted no offensive actions. Airstrikes hit Pokrovske and Levadne.

Towards Huliaipole, four attacks took place in the vicinity of Staroukrainka, Zelene, and Zaliznychne, and in the vicinity of Myrne. The enemy launched an airstrike in the vicinity of Tvitkove.

Towards Orikhiv, no active enemy offensive actions were recorded. The enemy launched airstrikes on Orikhiv and Preobrazhenka.

Towards Kherson, the adversary conducted no offensive actions.

In other directions, there are currently no significant changes in the situation. No enemy attempts to advance have been recorded.

Ukrainian troops are exhausting the enemy along the entire line of combat engagement and in the rear.

Recent war events in the east of Ukraine

Kharkiv oblast

According to the Joint Forces Group, between 10 and 20 russian servicemen may remain in Kupiansk, hiding primarily in basements. Meanwhile, russian propaganda has already declared some of them dead, although, according to spokesperson Viktor Trehubov, they may still be alive.

During the past day, there were 150 combat engagements.

Towards Southern Sloboda, russian troops twice assaulted the positions of Ukrainian units in the vicinity of Starytsia and Zybyne.

Towards Kupiansk, the russian army attacked once in the vicinity of Novoosynove.

In Oskil, a russian KAB strike wounded a 90-year-old woman, a 67-year-old woman, and a 19-year-old man. The women were hospitalized with explosive injuries and concussions, while the man received medical assistance on-site.

In the village, more than 20 houses and outbuildings were damaged.

In Balakliia, russian drone strikes on residential areas were recorded twice within a 24-hour period. On the night of 26 March, a drone hit a house, wounding a man; on the morning of 27 March, there were no casualties.

Over the past day, the russians attacked Kharkiv and 16 settlements in the oblast. As a result of the shelling, 25 people were affected: in Kharkiv, two sustained injuries and 16 others suffered acute stress reactions; in Oskil, two women and a man were wounded; in Pydvysoke, two people were injured; and in Vyshneve, one woman was wounded.

The Russians struck the Slobidskyi and Kyivskyi districts of Kharkiv. For these attacks, they employed an Iskander missile, 11 KABs, Geran-2, Lancet, and Molniya type UAVs, FPV drones, and other unmanned aircraft.

Damage was recorded to residential buildings, a restaurant, and over 13 vehicles in Kharkiv, as well as facilities in the Bohodukhiv, Izium, Lozova, and Chuhuiv districts. Specifically, 21 houses were damaged in Oskil, residential buildings in Balakliia, and an apartment block and an enterprise in Lozova.

On 26 March, the russians also twice attacked the Zolochiv community with drones. Houses, agricultural enterprise warehouses, outbuildings, and power grids were damaged; there were no casualties.

A 22-year-old man who sustained injuries during evacuation from the Kupiansk district sought medical assistance in Kharkiv.

The transit evacuation point in Lozova received 262 people over the past 24 hours. A total of 25,012 individuals have been registered there.

In Kharkiv oblast, there are plans to allocate over 482 million UAH this year for the reconstruction and repair of protective structures.

Donetsk oblast

On the approaches to Hryshyne towards Pokrovsk, russian units launched an assault using motor equipment. The Defense Forces repelled the attack. According to the 7th Air Assault Forces Corps, during the repelling of two assaults, Ukrainian defenders eliminated approximately 50 occupiers and destroyed over 10 motorcycles and two vehicles.

Towards Kostiantynivka, during the day, russian troops launched 23 assaults on Defense Forces positions in the vicinity of Pleshchiivka, Illinivka, Berestok, Stepanivka, Novopavlivka, and Sofiivka. Towards Pokrovsk, 42 engagements were recorded, and Ukrainian military personnel repelled another 10 attacks towards Oleksandrivka.

Ukrainian units also repelled a combined russian assault in Kostiantynivka. According to the 28th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after the Knights of the Winter Forced March, the Defense Forces destroyed a decoy tank and infantry groups, taking one occupier prisoner.

A civilian was injured due to the russian shelling of Kostiantynivka. In the morning, Russian troops struck the city with tube artillery; one of the shells hit a courtyard where civilians live, reported Horbunov, head of the Military Administration.

On 26 March, police recorded 1,611 russian attacks along the front line and the residential sector of Donetsk oblast. Nine settlements came under fire.

In Lyman, russians killed one person. In Dobropillia, an enemy FPV drone wounded a civilian. In Kramatorsk, drone attacks damaged an auto parts store and two civilian vehicles, while in Sofiivka, an outbuilding was damaged.

russian troops dropped two KAB-250 bombs on Sviatohirsk. A post office building, a garage, and an infrastructure facility were damaged. In Sloviansk, a private house was destroyed. In the evening, the russian army also attacked the city with two Molniya-2 drones, damaging private houses.

Russians attacked Mykolaivka three times. Two apartment buildings, one private house, and an educational institution were damaged.

The White Angels evacuated five people from Druzhkivka. More than 7,000 residents remain in Druzhkivka. People are leaving slowly, but the evacuation continues.

From Mykolaivka, White Angel crews, together with the Red Cross Rapid Response Unit, evacuated 16 people. The city is under daily strikes from KABs and drones, and the use of tube artillery is now also being recorded.

Pokrovsk Military Administration continues to review applications from displaced persons for temporary residence in social housing in Dnipro. This applies to IDPs from Pokrovsk who did not own their own homes in the community and are ineligible for state compensation for destroyed or damaged property. Since the beginning of March, the administration has reviewed over 70 applications; some were rejected due to non-compliance with program conditions.

Luhansk oblast

On the night of 26 March, the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck a Tor-M1 surface-to-air missile system in the vicinity of Novopskov in temporarily occupied Luhansk oblast. Additionally, ammunition depots were hit in the vicinity of Makedonivka and Buriakova Balka in the occupied part of Donetsk oblast, along with two logistical supply depots and the location of a russian repair unit in the temporarily occupied territories of Luhansk and Donetsk oblasts. Furthermore, the Ukrainian military launched strikes against occupier concentration areas near Kamianka in Luhansk oblast and Luhanske in Donetsk oblast, as well as fuel and lubricant depots in the vicinity of Aidar and Raihorodka.

Fighters from the 3rd Directorate of the SBU in Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts, together with service members of the 1st Separate Center for Unmanned Systems of the AFU, destroyed a Russian railway echelon carrying fuel at a station in temporarily occupied Luhansk oblast. The strike resulted in a large-scale fire. Additionally, Ukrainian border guards from the Phoenix unit in Luhansk oblast destroyed a rare Russian R-416G-MS mobile radio-relay communication station.

Over the past day in Luhansk oblast, russian troops attempted to find weak points in the defenses in the vicinity of Nadiia and applied pressure from the direction of Tverdokhlibove. The occupiers used tube artillery three times, struck with mortars four times, employed automatic grenade launchers, and directed 15 UAVs and FPV drones toward Defense Forces positions.

In temporarily occupied Luhansk oblast, the russian authorities owe nearly 170 million rubles in back wages to employees of the Tsentrvuhillia and Antratsyt coal enterprises. Meanwhile, the occupiers continue to close mines, dismantle equipment, cut staff, and prepare workers for forced mobilization.

The russians are also increasing pressure on the civilian population in occupied Luhansk oblast. Specifically, they plan to “nationalize” up to 50,000 apartments due to utility debt. In the Markivka district, the militarization of children and teenagers is becoming systemic, characterized by the presence of military personnel in schools, war propaganda, and recruitment for service in the Russian army.

What is happening now in the north of Ukraine

Kyiv oblast

Residents of high-rise buildings in Kyiv will be able to install their own boiler houses with partial funding from the city. Kyiv City Council passed the relevant resolution during its session on 26 March. From now on, co-owners can receive city support not only for repairs but also for setting up autonomous heating. Specifically, this applies to the installation of boiler houses and necessary equipment, electricity, heat, gas, and water supply networks, as well as metering units.

Kyiv Oblast State Administration reported that it is accelerating the provision of generators to communities for backup power of mobile base stations. While communities previously collected the generators themselves, centralized delivery directly to the sites has now been introduced to maintain momentum. On 26 March, the second large-scale transfer took place, with over 50 generators delivered to the communities of the Boryspil district.

Kyiv Oblast State Administration reported that the oblast is working on expanding a program to provide free dental care to Defenders of Ukraine. A pilot project for dental prosthetics and planned medical assistance is being implemented in the region. Additionally, the Kyiv Oblast Targeted Program for Supporting Defenders of Ukraine and Their Families for 2026–2027 is in effect, providing reimbursement for dental services and prosthetics, as well as materials for treating maxillofacial injuries.

Zhytomyr oblast

According to the Regional Military Administration, on 27 March, job fairs for veterans will be held in 12 cities and towns across Zhytomyr oblast. The fair’s program includes presentations from nearly 50 employers and current vacancies, information on training, vouchers, grants for starting a business, mini-training sessions and seminars, and individual consultations with specialists. Furthermore, veterans and their families who have already successfully transitioned to civilian life, started businesses, or gained new professions will share their stories.

Sumy oblast

The Regional Military Administration reported that on 27 March, russian forces attacked critical infrastructure facilities in Shostka community by UAVs. As a result of one of the strikes, two civilians — a woman and a man — were injured. They are receiving medical treatment in hospital. Generators are being used to ensure the operation of life-support systems.

Oleh Hryhorov, Head of the Regional Military Administration, said that on 26 March at around 4pm, russian forces struck Mykolaivka rural community by a UAV. Two civilians were injured. A man born in 1971 died in hospital from his injuries.

Women aged 36, 38, 41, 44 and 74 sought medical assistance after being injured on 25 March as a result of a drone strike in Seredyna-Buda community. A 61-year-old man also sought medical assistance after being injured in Verkhnia Syrivatka community on 24 March following a UAV strike.

On 26 March, in Seredyna-Buda community of Shostka region, a man was injured after detonating a russian mine. He was hospitalised with injuries to a lower limb. According to the Regional Military Administration, the enemy is actively using mines, including remote mining. Since the beginning of the year, there have been eight incidents involving civilian mine explosions — two people were killed and eight injured, including one child.

Between the morning of 26 March and the morning of 27 March, russian forces carried out nearly 90 attacks on 35 settlements across 17 territorial communities of the oblast. The highest number of attacks was recorded in Sumy and Shostka regions. The enemy used mortars, artillery, FPV drones, UAVs and guided aerial bombs. Over the past day, the air raid alert in the oblast lasted for 18 hours and 51 minutes.

Civilian infrastructure was damaged and destroyed:

  • In Znob-Novhorodske community, a private residential house was destroyed, and another private residential house, an outbuilding and civilian infrastructure facilities were damaged;
  • In Berezivka community, civilian infrastructure facilities were damaged;
  • In Seredyna-Buda community, private residential houses were damaged;
  • In Esman community, a private residential house was destroyed and a vehicle was damaged;
  • In Sumy community, non-residential premises, passenger cars and a truck were damaged;
  • In Stepanivka community, a civilian infrastructure facility was damaged;
  • In Bilopillia community, civilian infrastructure facilities were damaged.

Over the past day, local authorities, together with units of the State Emergency Service, the National Police and public organisations, evacuated 61 people from border communities.

The Prosecutor’s Office informed that law enforcement authorities in Sumy oblast have issued a notice of suspicion in absentia to the commander of the 1st Tank Army of the Western Military District of russia on charges of waging an aggressive war. According to the investigation, troops under his command killed 137 civilians in the oblast during the first month of the full-scale invasion, including eight children. According to the Security Service of Ukraine, units under the command of Kisiel attacked settlements in Chernihiv and Sumy oblasts.

Chernihiv oblast

The State Emergency Service reported that on the morning of 27 March, russian forces struck one of the settlements in Koriukivka region by a UAV. As a result of the strike, a residential house caught fire. At the scene, rescuers discovered the body of a man born in 1931.

Oleksandr Seliverstov, Head of Novhorod-Siverskyi Regional Military Administration, said that at 08:55am on 27 March, an enemy UAV attacked Ivanivka village in the border Semenivka community. As a result of the strike, a grain storage facility caught fire and sustained significant damage.

At 9pm on 26 March, russian forces attacked residential areas in Mamekyne village, Novhorod-Siverskyi community. Following a strike by Heran-type UAVs, a house caught fire.

Viacheslav Chaus, Head of Chernihiv Regional Military Administration, informed that during the day of 26 March, russian forces attacked Chernihiv by Heran-type UAVs. At around 3pm, a strike hit the territory of a food enterprise, damaging a warehouse, equipment and products. In the evening, the enemy struck transport infrastructure, injuring a 36-year-old railway worker. He is currently receiving treatment in hospital.

According to Oleksandr Seliverstov, Head of Novhorod-Siverskyi Regional Military Administration, at around 7:10pm on 26 March, an FPV drone strike was recorded within the city of Semenivka. Infrastructure facilities were targeted. No casualties were reported. According to the Regional Military Administration, the enemy struck a mobile communications facility and a boiler house in Semenivka community.

According to Chernihiv Border Guard Detachment, during 26 March, russian forces attacked four border communities of Chernihiv oblast: Novhorod-Siverskyi, Semenivka, Horodnia and Snovsk. The enemy carried out strikes using Shahed-type UAVs (2 explosions), Molniia-type UAVs (1 explosion) and FPV drones (21 explosions). Nine settlements were under enemy fire.

Viacheslav Chaus, Head of Chernihiv Regional Military Administration, reported on a meeting with Director-General for Crisis Prevention, Stabilisation, Peacebuilding and Humanitarian Assistance at the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs Julia Monar and Deputy Representative of UNHCR in Ukraine Alexander Mundt. According to him, another batch of energy equipment from partners is expected to arrive in the oblast in the near future. Over the past month, 140 generators with capacities ranging from 6.5 to 440 kW have been delivered to Chernihiv oblast from Germany.

Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine

Dnipropetrovsk oblast

Mykola Lukashuk, Head of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast Council, said that in Marhanets community, a 17-year-old girl was injured as a result of shelling. In Nikopol, a 26-year-old man was also injured due to previous attacks. Occupying forces primarily used FPV drones, as well as multiple launch rocket systems and artillery, targeting the district centre and the Marhanets, Myrove, Pokrovske rural and Chervonohryhorivka communities. An enterprise and two vehicles were damaged. Additional damage to a private house was recorded following evening attacks.

In Kryvyi Rih, a private house, a vehicle and infrastructure were damaged as a result of a UAV attack. The enemy also struck Zaitsivka community by UAVs. A fire broke out and infrastructure was damaged.

In Nikopol, four people were injured: an 11-year-old girl, a 45-year-old man, a 50-year-old woman and a 58-year-old man, who was hospitalised in critical condition.

Occupying forces also carried out drone and artillery attacks on Marhanets, Chervonohryhorivka and Pokrovske rural communities. Fires broke out. Two apartment buildings and six private houses, a hairdresser’s, a petrol station, two shops, an outbuilding, vehicles and power lines were damaged.

Pokrovske community was attacked by FPV drones and a guided aerial bomb. A 37-year-old man was injured. Fires broke out. Two private houses and an outbuilding were damaged.

In Kryvyi Rih, a UAV attack caused a fire and damaged transport infrastructure. The enemy also struck Novopillia community. In Hrushivka community, critical infrastructure was damaged as a result of an FPV drone strike.

Vinnytsia oblast

In Yampil, a peaceful rally titled “We Pray. We Believe. We Wait” was held for the first time this year in support of Ukrainian servicemen who are in captivity or considered missing.

Kirovohrad oblast

Andrii Raikovych, Head of the Regional Military Administration, reported that Kirovohrad oblast will receive UAH 105m. for winter preparation as part of the Regional Resilience Plan.

Poltava oblast

A defender from Kremenchuk region was killed in the war. Serviceman Andrii Hubaidulin from Omelnyk village, Kremenchuk region, was killed while carrying out a combat mission at the front. He was 34 years old.

Cherkasy oblast

In Cherkasy, residents paid tribune to fallen sergeant Serhii Prykhodko. He was killed on 7 December 2024 as a result of russian assault operations towards Northern Sloboda and Kursk while carrying out a combat mission.

Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine

Zaporizhzhia oblast

On 27 March, russian forces carried out a drone strike near a public transport stop in Kushuhum, Zaporizhzhia oblast. According to the head of Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, Ivan Fedorov, two women were injured as a result of the explosion.

As reported by Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, yesterday, 26 March, the occupiers carried out 971 strikes on 42 settlements in Zaporizhzhia oblast. russian forces conducted 17 airstrikes on Veselianka, Liubytske, Novosoloshyne, Shevchenkivske, Svitla Dolyna, Zaliznychne, Preobrazhenka, Verkhna Tersa, Dolynka, Novoselivka, Tsvitkove, Kopani, and Huliaipilske. 717 UAVs of various modifications (mostly FPV) attacked Zaporizhzhia, Lysohirka, Tavriiske, Lukasheve, Yasna Poliana, Novooleksandrivka, Chervonodniprovka, Bilenke, Stepnohirsk, Prymorske, Stepove, Pavlivka, Lukianivske, Huliaipole, Orikhiv, Zaliznychne, Shyroke, Shcherbaky, Novoandriivka, Novodanylivka, Mala Tokmachka, Charivne, Myrne, Huliaipilske, Zelene, Staroukrainka, Sviatopetrivka, Tsvitkove, Varvarivka, Dobropillia, and Nove Zaporizhzhia. There were four MLRS strikes on Kanivske, Mala Tokmachka, and Charivne. 233 artillery strikes targeted Stepnohirsk, Prymorske, Stepove, Pavlivka, Huliaipole, Orikhiv, Zaliznychne, Shcherbaky, Novoandriivka, Novodanylivka, Mala Tokmachka, Charivne, Myrne, Staroukrainka, Varvarivka, and Dobropillia. 110 reports were received about damage to infrastructure, residential buildings, vehicles, and outbuildings. Three people were injured as a result of enemy attacks on the Polohy and Zaporizhzhia regions.

The General Staff reported that as of 16:00 on 27 March, the russians attacked near Staroukrainka, Zelene, Zaliznychne, and Myrne towards Huliaipole. Over the past day, 26 March, the Defense Forces repelled 22 russian attacks towards Huliaipole direction and three more towards Orikhiv.

The Special Operations Forces reported that units of “Middle-strike” carried out strikes on the russian combined-arms training ground “Vostochnyi” near the village of Novopetrivka in Zaporizhzhia oblast. Personnel, equipment, and materiel of the enemy were located at the training center.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that on the night of 27 March, the Defense Forces struck a russian logistics warehouse in the area of Novoselivka. The extent of the damage and russian losses is being clarified.

The head of the Regional Military Administration, Ivan Fedorov, reported that since the beginning of March, 333 people were evacuated from frontline areas of Zaporizhzhia oblast, including 140 women and 28 children. According to him, all families with children were evacuated from particularly dangerous communities, and forced evacuation without parental consent wasn’t  carried out. Evacuees are taken to a transit hub in Zaporizhzhia, where they are helped to find housing or relocate to safer regions.

Mykolaiv oblast

Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration reported that over the past day, 26 March, seven strike UAVs of the Shahed-131/136 type and various types of decoy drones were shot down or suppressed in Mykolaiv oblast.

Yesterday, the enemy also attacked Kutsurub community with an FPV drone. There were no casualties.

Kherson oblast

Kherson Regional Prosecutor’s Office reported that on 27 March at around 14:30, russian military forces dropped explosives from a drone near the settlement of Komyshany in Kherson region. As a result of the attack, a 60-year-old man sustained fatal injuries.

Kherson Regional Military Administration reported that on 27 March, at approximately 10:00, russians attacked a man with a UAV in Novoraisk. He sustained shrapnel wounds, a concussion, blast injuries, and a closed traumatic brain injury.

According to Kherson Regional Military Administration, today, russian forces attacked Korabelnyi district of Kherson. As a result of a UAV strike at 10:10, a 53-year-old man who was driving a civilian car was injured. He sustained shrapnel wounds to his arms, a concussion, blast injuries, and a closed traumatic brain injury. In another attack at 09:40, a 72-year-old man sustained blast injuries. A residential building was also damaged.

The Police of Kherson oblast reported that on the morning of 27 March, russian forces attacked a children’s hospital in Dniprovskyi district of Kherson with a strike drone. A Molniya-type UAV flew into a window but did not detonate. There were no killed or injured.

People injured in previous days as a result of russian attacks also sought medical help. A woman who came under shelling on 19 March in Dniprovskyi district of Kherson sustained blast injuries and contusions to the chest, lower back, and arm. A 77-year-old resident of Bilozerka, whose house was shelled on the morning of 25 March, was hospitalized with blast injuries and a concussion.

The Police of Kherson oblast reported that yesterday, 26 March, the russian forces attacked Kherson, Sadove, Prydniprovske, Novodmytrivka, Sofiivka, Antonivka, Dariivka, Zymivnyk, Dniprovske, Molodizhne, Bilozerka, Yantarne, Veletenke, Rozlyv, Tomyna Balka, Stanislav, Oleksandrivka, Shyroka Balka, Naddniprianske, Kizomys, Beryslav, Novovorontsovka, Novoraisk, Osokorivka, Liubymivka, Rakivka, Khreshchenivka, Nadiivka, Kozatske, and Vesele. As a result of the shelling, two apartment buildings, 10 private houses, a critical infrastructure facility, an administrative building, and a vehicle were damaged. One woman was killed, and another man was injured due to a mine explosion.

Latest news for today in the western regions of Ukraine

Volyn oblast

Volyn oblast will receive UAH 64.4m for priority work related to preparations for the next winter. The funds will be directed to protecting energy infrastructure, developing distributed generation, providing backup power sources for heat and water supply facilities and decentralizing heat supply systems.

Zakarpattia oblast

The regional council has agreed to co-finance the construction of a veterans’ space in Uzhhorod. The amount of assistance is UAH 51m.

Ivano-Frankivsk oblast

In Ivano-Frankivsk, during the XI charity auction, it was possible to collect over UAH 7.7m in support of the military. In total, 46 unique lots were presented. The most expensive lot of the evening was a special lot – an old Gospel, dated 1923 and written in Church Slavonic.

Lviv oblast

Lviv oblast will receive state funding to protect energy facilities, develop distributed generation, and prepare critical infrastructure for next winter. This includes additional power sources for heat and water supply facilities, as well as decentralization of heat supply.

Roman Dmytryshyn, soldier of the 24th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after King Danylo from Slavsk, was awarded with the For Conscientious Service honorary medal.

Rivne oblast

In Rivne oblast, the reception of documents to the Council of Veterans has been completed. The reception lasted until 4:00pm on 27 March. The next stage is the verification of the received documents, which will last up to 5 calendar days. The list of candidates admitted to participate in the regional meetings, scheduled for 9 April, will be published next.

Ternopil oblast

A memorial service for the fallen defenders of Ukraine, The Light of Prayer in the Darkness of War, was held in Ternopil. The memorial service was held near the Memorial Stele To the Soldiers Who Were Killed for the Freedom of Ukraine. Participants of the event prayed together and remembered by name the fallen compatriots who gave their lives in March in different years, starting from 2014.

Khmelnytskyi oblast

Khmelnytskyi City Council voted to provide over 80 housing vouchers for combatants with IDP status. It is planned to complete the consideration of all applications, of which there were over 400, in the next 1-2 meetings of the executive committee.

Chernivtsi oblast

Defense Council of Chernivtsi oblast reported that the Defense Council of Chernivtsi oblast has allocated UAH 2m to special forces units of the Department of Security services of Ukraine in Chernivtsi oblast to perform operational and service tasks and ensure a stable security situation in the oblast.

International support of Ukraine in the russian-Ukrainian war (russia’s invasion of Ukraine)

Britain allowed the interception of the russian ‘shadow fleet’. This means new powers for the military and law enforcement – they will be able to detain russian ships under sanctions during transit, including in the English Channel.

Ukraine and Saudi Arabia signed an agreement on defense cooperation. The document lays the foundation for further contracts, technological cooperation, and investments, and strengthens Ukraine’s international role as a security donor, the president noted.
