Here is operational information of the General Staff as of 4 pm:
On 26 July, the aggressor attacked the positions of the Defense Forces 61 times.
Korenok, Bachivsk, Yastrubshchyna, Tovstodubove, Ulanove, and Neskuchne in Sumy oblast, as well as Senkivka in Chernihiv oblast, suffered from artillery shelling. The enemy also launched airstrikes in the vicinity of Tovstodubove and Ulanove.
Towards Northern Sloboda and Kursk, no attempts by the enemy to advance were recorded; however, the occupiers carried out 34 shelling attacks on the positions of Ukrainian troops and settlements.
Towards Southern Sloboda, the invaders made six attempts to break through the defense in the vicinity of Starytsia and Okhrimivka. One engagement is ongoing.
Towards Kupiansk, two attempts by the enemy to advance in the vicinity of Podoly and Kurylivka were recorded; both engagements are still ongoing.
Towards Lyman, the enemy tried to advance 12 times in the vicinity of Shyikivka, Novoselivka, Drobysheve, Stavky, Lyman, Dibrova, and Ozerne. Two engagements are ongoing.
Towards Sloviansk, the occupiers made 13 attempts to push back Ukrainian units in the vicinity of Kryva Luka, Zakitne, Pyskunivka, Rai-Oleksandrivka, and Riznykivka. One engagement is ongoing.
Towards Kostiantynivka, Ukrainian defenders successfully repelled eight attacks near Kostiantynivka and Illinivka.
Towards Pokrovsk, there were 14 attempts by the occupiers to push Ukrainian warriors out of their positions in the vicinity of Shevchenko, Novyi Donbas, Pavlivka, Kotlyne, Novohryshyne, Novooleksandrivka, and Udachne.
Towards Huliaipole, the Defense Forces successfully repelled six enemy attacks in the vicinity of Ternuvate, Hirke, Staroukrainka, Tsvitkove, and Charivne.
Towards Kramatorsk, Oleksandrivka, Orikhiv, and Kherson, there were no attempts by the enemy to advance.
There are currently no significant changes in the situation in other directions as well.
Recent war events in the east of Ukraine
Kharkiv oblast
According to the General Staff of the AFU, towards Southern Sloboda, russian troops have attacked six times in the vicinity of Starytsia and Okhrimivka. As of 16:00, one engagement is ongoing.
Two more attacks are ongoing towards Kupyansk in the areas of Podoly and Kurylivka.
Over the past day, 258 combat engagements were recorded.
- Towards Southern Sloboda, the enemy attacked the positions of Ukrainian units 12 times in the vicinity of the settlements of Prylipka, Starytsia, and Vilcha, and towards the settlements of Ternova, Izbytske, and Khatnye.
- Towards Kupyansk, there was one enemy attack heading near Shyikivka.
According to preliminary data from Izium City Military Administration, around 16:20 on July 26, russian troops attacked Izium with four KABs. As a result of the hit, storage facilities were damaged. A fire broke out at the strike site, the report stated.
Veterinary doctors at the Animal Treatment Center are trying to save a German Shepherd belonging to a family whose rented house in Kharkiv was struck on the morning of July 26 by a russian Banderol jet-propelled aerial bomb. The municipal institution reported on Facebook that the dog is in critical condition and was brought to the center by police officers.
Mayor Ihor Terekhov says that the number of victims of the russian strike on Kharkiv has increased to 16. According to clarified information, medics diagnosed women aged 75 and 42 with an acute stress reaction. A 62-year-old man was also diagnosed with the same condition.
In the Shevchenkivskyi district, an enemy drone fell on a car.
As a result of an enemy strike on the Slobidskyi district of Kharkiv, a 40-year-old woman was killed. At this moment, 9 victims are known, including a 10-year-old boy and a 17-year-old girl. The boy was hospitalized with an explosive injury. The girl suffered an acute stress reaction and received medical assistance on site. Also among the victims are men aged 54, 85, and 65, and women aged 45, 65, 53, and 34. As a result of the enemy shelling, a private house was completely destroyed.
Mayor of Chuhuiv Halyna Minaieva reports that 11 private houses and an administrative building were damaged as a result of a russian UAV strike on Kamiana Yaruha, Chuhuiv community. According to her, no people were injured. Also, according to her, around 05:00 on July 26, a russian Molniya-type UAV destroyed a private house in Nova Kozacha.
Over the past day, Kharkiv and 15 other settlements in Kharkiv oblast came under enemy strikes. As a result of the shelling, 7 people were injured, including a child.

In the city of Derhachi, men aged 60 and 61 were injured; in the settlement of Slatyne, Derhachi community, a 45-year-old man was wounded; in the city of Balakliia, women aged 76 and 71 were injured; in the settlement of Staryi Saltiv, a 17-year-old boy was wounded; in the city of Kharkiv, a 43-year-old man was injured.
Medics also provided assistance to a 66-year-old man who had been injured on July 20 as a result of shelling in the village of Novoosynove, Kindrashivka community.
Viacheslav Zadorenko, Head of the City Military Administration, says that around 20 houses were damaged as a result of a russian missile strike on Derhachi on the evening of July 25.
The enemy attacked the Shevchenkivskyi district of Kharkiv with a UAV.
The enemy actively used various types of weaponry across Kharkiv oblast:
- 4 missiles;
- 3 KABs;
- 12 Geran-2-type UAVs;
- 10 Molniya-type UAVs;
- 3 FPV drones;
- 46 UAVs (type being established).
Civilian infrastructure objects were damaged and destroyed:
- In the city of Kharkiv, a car was damaged;
- In Bohodukhiv region, 5 private houses, 2 apartment buildings, and 7 outbuildings were damaged (Odnorobivka village); an apartment building, a private house, and a shop (Zolochiv settlement); 3 gas stations (Valky city, Sharivka settlement, Korsunivka village, Hontiv Yar village); and 2 outbuildings (Sinne village);
- In Kupiansk region, 2 private houses were damaged (Zhukiv Yar village, Velykyi Burluk settlement);
- In Izium region, 2 private houses, an outbuilding, a storage building, power grids, railway infrastructure, and 5 elevator warehouses were damaged (Balakliia city);
- In Kharkiv region, power grids and a private house were damaged (Derhachi city), as well as 2 storage facilities (Slatyne settlement);
- In Chuhuiv region, a warehouse was damaged (Mospanove village), a car (Staryi Saltiv settlement), and a private house (Petropavlivka village).
The transit evacuation point in Lozova received 201 people over the day. In total, since the start of operation, 47,823 people have been registered at the Point.


July 25
According to the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Russian forces attacked Kharkiv and 15 other settlements across the region. Seven civilians were injured, including one minor.
In Derhachi, two men aged 60 and 61 were injured. In Slatyne, a 45-year-old man was wounded. In Balakliia, two women aged 76 and 71 were injured. In Staryi Saltiv, a 17-year-old boy was wounded, and in Kharkiv, a 43-year-old man was injured. An evening missile strike on Derhachi damaged approximately 20 residential buildings.
Over the past 24 hours, Russian forces launched four missiles, three guided aerial bombs (KABs), 12 Geran-2 drones, 10 Molniya drones, three FPV drones, and another 46 unmanned aerial vehicles whose type is still being identified.
The attacks damaged residential buildings, outbuildings, shops, gas stations, warehouses, vehicles, power lines, railway infrastructure, and grain elevator facilities in Kharkiv, Bohodukhiv, Kupiansk, Izium, Kharkiv, and Chuhuiv districts.
Other
The transit evacuation center in Lozova received 201 people over the past day. Since the center began operating, a total of 47,823 evacuees have been registered.
Donetsk oblast
A Russian FPV drone struck a police patrol crew in Kramatorsk. One police officer was injured, according to the Patrol Police.
Enemy attacks on Donetsk Region – One Civilian Killed
On July 25, police recorded 1,267 enemy attacks.
Russian forces targeted the cities of Druzhkivka, Kramatorsk, Sloviansk, and Mykolaivka, as well as the settlements of Bilenke, Raihorodok, and the village of Maiaky.
A total of 26 civilian objects were damaged, including 17 residential buildings.
▪️ In Druzhkivka, Russian forces dropped three KAB-250 guided aerial bombs and attacked with drones. One civilian was killed. A multi-story apartment building, a private house, an enterprise, and a civilian vehicle were damaged.
▪️ In Kramatorsk, Russian forces struck with four aerial bombs and FPV drones. Damage was reported to a private house, 10 apartment buildings, an educational institution, and a civilian vehicle.
▪️ In Mykolaivka and the village of Maiaky, one private house was damaged in each settlement. In Raihorodok, two homes were damaged, while in Bilenke, a civilian vehicle was damaged.
In addition, authorities confirmed that, as a result of the shelling of Druzhkivka on July 24, one person was injured and a private house was damaged.


According to the Yellow Ribbon resistance movement, pickup points operated by Russian marketplace chains are closing across the temporarily occupied part of Donetsk Region.
Luhansk oblast
Suppliers have refused to deliver goods to the temporarily occupied city of Sieverodonetsk due to the deteriorating security situation, according to the Luhansk Regional Military Administration.
Residents who remain in the city occupied by Russian forces have begun mass purchasing “essential” food supplies.
What is happening now in the north of Ukraine
Kyiv oblast
Kyiv Mayor Vitalii Klychko reported that, on the night of 26 July, russia launched ballistic missiles at Kyiv. Three Kyiv residents were injured as a result of the enemy’s attack on the capital. One of them was admitted to hospital, whilst the other two received outpatient treatment. Damage was recorded in three districts of the city: in the Shevchenkivskyi district, a four-storey, evacuated building caught fire; in the Desnianskyi district, a fire in a warehouse, 10 cars and a lorry was extinguished; and in the Solomianskyi district, a fire broke out on the site of a non-residential development as a result of falling debris.
On 24 July, a presentation was held in Hostomel for the documentary book *Surviving in Hostomel: 21 Stories from the Hero City* by journalist and Ukrainian Radio presenter Ksenia Dvornikova. The publication brings together testimonies from residents of Gostomel and the surrounding area, military personnel who defended the town during the russian occupation in February–March 2022, and rescue workers who evacuated people from the combat zone.
Zhytomyr oblast
On 25 July, a rally was held in Zhytomyr under the slogan ‘Uncertainty and captivity kill!’ to raise awareness and show support for prisoners of war and those missing in action. Around 250 people attended the event – relatives of the defenders, local residents and servicemen from the 95th Separate Airborne Assault Brigade.
On 25 July, the second charity performance of the play ‘Everything Will Be Alright, Kisses…’ by the amateur theatre group ‘Feel Yourself’ took place in Zviahel. During the performance, 15,000 hryvnias were raised for the needs of one of the military units. The production, based on poems by the mother of a fallen soldier, was dedicated to the stories of servicepeople and their families.
Sumy oblast
Sumy City Military Administration reported that during the night of 26 July, russian forces struck a food processing enterprise, a petrol station, a vehicle repair station and a lorry in Sumy.
Mykola Noha, Mayor of Shostka, said that during the night of 26 July, russians attacked several settlements in Shostka community. A 58-year-old man was injured in Vovnianske Starosta District and was taken to hospital. Enemy strikes also destroyed a residential house and outbuildings. In Ivotskyi Starosta District, russian forces struck a residential house, while four additional houses were damaged.
The Regional Military Administration informed that since the evening of 25 July, russians have been attacking the farm of one of Sumy oblast’s dairy producers by drones. As a result of the attacks in Duboviazivka community, several cows were killed and others were injured. Farm workers found the engine of a jet-powered UAV next to one of the dead animals.

Nadiia Vailo, Head of Hlukhiv community, said that russian forces have been attacking the grounds of the local hospital for several consecutive days. On 25 July, an enemy drone struck the facility shortly after 3pm, followed by a second strike soon afterwards. The hospital’s kitchen was left unusable as a result of the attack. The previous day, russians struck the hospital’s vegetable storage facility. No people were injured.
The Regional Military Administration reported that between the morning of 25 July and the morning of 26 July, russian forces carried out more than 90 attacks on 37 settlements across 21 territorial communities in Sumy oblast. The highest number of attacks was recorded in Sumy, Konotop and Shostka regions. The enemy used mortars, artillery, FPV drones, UAVs and guided aerial bombs. Air raid alerts were in effect across the oblast for 23 hours and 47 minutes during the day.
According to the Regional Military Administration, one person was killed and eight others were injured in russian attacks across Sumy oblast over the past 24 hours. The following damage was also recorded:
- In Velyka Pysarivka community, a 53-year-old man was killed and a 76-year-old man was injured in russian drone strikes. One private residential house was destroyed, while another private residential house, outbuildings and a vehicle were damaged.
- In Bilopillia community, a 68-year-old man was injured when an enemy UAV struck a house. Private residential houses were damaged.
- In Krasnopillia community, two men aged 50 and 55 were injured when a drone struck a vehicle.
- In Sumy community, a 58-year-old man was injured when an enemy drone struck a vehicle. Non-residential premises, civilian infrastructure facilities and vehicles were damaged.
- In Mykolaivka rural community, an 11-year-old girl and a 41-year-old man were injured in a russian drone strike. Private residential houses were damaged.
- In Shostka community, a 58-year-old man was injured in a russian UAV strike. A private residential house was destroyed, while private residential houses, a shop building and a walking tractor were damaged.
- In Hlukhiv community, a medical facility, a shop building, a private residential house, an outbuilding and a combine harvester were damaged.
- In Krolevets community, non-residential premises were damaged.
- In Seredyna-Buda community, a private residential house and civilian infrastructure facilities were damaged.
- In Nova Sloboda community, a civilian infrastructure facility was damaged.
- In Konotop community, non-residential premises and a civilian infrastructure facility were damaged.
- In Buryn community, a civilian infrastructure facility and a mobile crane were damaged.
- In Duboviazivka community, an agricultural building was damaged and a cow was killed.
- In Romny community, an apartment building, a private residential house, outbuildings and a vehicle were damaged.
- In Yampil community, a civilian infrastructure facility was damaged.
- In Berezivka community, a civilian infrastructure facility was damaged.
- In Shalyhyne community, an educational institution building was damaged.
- In Znob-Novhorodske community, a private residential house was destroyed.
Chernihiv oblast
Viacheslav Chaus, Head of Chernihiv Regional Military Administration, reported that during the day on 26 July, a russian UAV struck a supermarket in Chernihiv. Two people were killed, including a nine-year-old girl. As of 5:46pm, 13 people had been injured, including a 10-year-old boy. Three people were in intensive care. Vehicles and a vehicle repair station were also damaged at other strike sites. Information on the consequences is being clarified.
The National Police Department of Chernihiv oblast informed that the Heran-4 jet-powered UAV used by russian forces to attack the ATB supermarket in Chernihiv was equipped with a video camera.


Oleksandr Seliverstov, Head of Novhorod-Siverskyi Regional Military Administration, said that at around 10am on 26 July, russian forces attacked Liskonohivka House of Culture in the border area of Chernihiv oblast. The building was damaged in the attack.
According to Viacheslav Chaus, Head of Chernihiv Regional Military Administration, on the morning of 26 July, the enemy attacked Chernihiv. The strike hit the premises of an enterprise. One of the buildings caught fire, while windows in another building were damaged.
Oleksandr Seliverstov, Head of Novhorod-Siverskyi Regional Military Administration, reported that on the morning of 26 July, a Molniya UAV attacked the border town of Novhorod-Siverskyi. A residential house and two civilian vehicles were damaged in the strike. He also reported that between 4:25pm and 4:30pm on 25 July, russian forces attacked the town by two Herbera strike UAVs. A civilian infrastructure facility was hit, while a field of crops caught fire on the outskirts of the town. During the attack, russians also used a guided rocket.
Chernihiv Border Guard Detachment informed that on 25 July, russian forces attacked three border communities in Chernihiv oblast: Novhorod-Siverskyi, Semenivka and Snovsk. The enemy carried out mortar attacks (5 explosions), tube artillery strikes (5 explosions) and FPV drone attacks (3 explosions). Five settlements came under enemy fire.

Dnipropetrovsk oblast
Mykola Lukashuk, Head of Dnipropetrovsk Regional Council, reported that russian forces attacked the regional centre, Pokrovske rural and Marhanets communities by drones and artillery. A department store was damaged. The enemy also attacked a shopping centre in Kryvyi Rih. A man was injured in a UAV attack on Pavlohrad.
Two women were injured in a UAV attack on Kryvyi Rih. Fires broke out. A shopping centre, a private residential house and a garage were damaged.
Enemy forces attacked the regional centre, Chervonohryhorivka, Pokrovske rural and Marhanets communities by drones and artillery. An apartment building, a private residential house, a passenger minibus and two vehicles were damaged. Vasylkivka community was struck with four guided aerial bombs. Infrastructure was damaged.
Vinnytsia oblast
A peaceful rally in support of prisoners of war and defenders missing in action was held in Voronovytsia settlement, Vinnytsia oblast. Family members of servicemen took part in the event.
Poltava oblast
Two servicemen from Poltava oblast have been confirmed killed in the war with russia. Farewell ceremonies will be held in Horishni Plavni community and Lubny for Yevhenii Mukovoz and Oleh Ponomarov. The defenders were killed while carrying out combat missions in Donetsk oblast and towards Sumy.
Cherkasy oblast
Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine
Zaporizhzhia oblast
Ivan Fedorov, Head of Zaporizhzhia RMA, reported that russian forces attacked Zaporizhzhia. A 46-year-old man was killed as a result of the KAB attack and 6 people were injured. Strikes on civilian infrastructure were recorded, including damage to an educational institution.
2 men, aged 38 and 25, were injured as a result of a russian drone attack on Zaporizhzhia. Doctors assess the condition of one of the injured as serious.
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, on 25 July, the Ukrainian Defence Forces repelled 27 russian attacks in Huliaipole and Orikhiv regions. In particular, russian forces assaulted in the directions of the settlements of Verkhnia Tersa, Staroukrainka, Tsvitkove, Vozdvyzhivka, Kosivtseve, Hirke and Charivne, as well as near Zaliznychne.
Ivan Fedorov, Head of the RMA, stated that on 25 July, 1 person was killed and 12 injured as a result of russian strikes on Zaporizhzhia and Zaporizhzhia oblast. In total, over the past day, the russian military launched 1,029 strikes on 50 settlements across the oblast.
Mykolaiv oblast
Heorhii Reshetilov, Head of Mykolaiv RMA, informed that on the evening of 26 July, the russian military attacked a retail facility in Snihurivka community by a Molniia UAV. As a result, 2 people were injured: a 45-year-old woman and a 57-year-old man. The injured were hospitalised.
Based on the information provided by the RMA, on 25 July, the russian military attacked the port infrastructure of Mykolaiv oblast by Shahed/Gerbera strike UAVs. As a result of the attack, 2 civilian vessels and a warehouse were damaged. There were no casualties reported. The russian forces attacked Ochakiv community by an FPV drone. There were no injuries reported.
Odesa oblast
The Air Force reported that in the morning, a jet-powered UAV was moving from the Black Sea towards the south of Odesa oblast (Vylkove and Lymanka).
The Shipping Administration reported that the vessel GOLDEN LEO, which came under a russian attack near Odesa on 19 July, has sunk. At the time it sank, there were no crew members on board. According to the administration, the vessel sustained significant damage to its hull and superstructure as a result of the strike. Following the attack, 8 crew members were evacuated during a search and rescue operation. 9 sailors and a Ukrainian pilot were killed.
Kherson oblast
According to Kherson RMA, at approximately 11:30am, russian forces attacked the central part of Kherson by a UAV. As a result of the strike, a 60-year-old man who was in his apartment was injured. He sustained a concussion, blast injuries and a closed traumatic brain injury.
At around noon, russian occupiers attacked a vehicle by a drone in the central part of Kherson. A 42-year-old man was injured in the strike. According to preliminary information, he sustained blast injuries.
At approximately 4:30am, russian occupiers carried out an airstrike on Dniprovskyi district of Kherson. At present, one injured person has been confirmed. A 44-year-old man was taken to hospital with preliminary blast injuries.
At approximately 4am, 2 men were injured in Korabelnyi district of Kherson as a result of a russian drone attack. According to preliminary information, residents, aged 41 and 70, sustained blast injuries.
2 people who had been attacked by a russian drone in Korabelnyi district of Kherson yesterday evening were injured. A 56-year-old man and a 49-year-old woman sustained blast injuries and shrapnel wounds.

Volyn oblast
19 children of Lutsk defenders and fallen Heroes went on a summer vacation to the city of Taurage, the Republic of Lithuania thanks to the many years of cooperation between Lutsk City Council with the city of Taurage and the administration of the Taurage region.
Zakarpattia oblast
The RMA reported that Private Vitaliy Loshak was awarded with the III degree Order of Courage (posthumously).
Ivano-Frankivsk oblast
An off-site meeting on veteran policy was held in Kaluska community with the participation of specialized specialists. They discussed the implementation of state and regional veteran policy, access to medical, psychological, and legal assistance, rehabilitation, the work of veteran support specialists and support mechanisms for veterans and their families.
Lviv oblast
British philanthropists have donated another 20 SUVs to Ukrainian defenders. This is a humanitarian convoy as part of the Pickups for Peace initiative.

The RMA reported that in total, 2,111 home solar power plants are operating in Rivne oblast today. This is +57.2 MW of added capacity.
Ternopil oblast
20 children from families of defenders and fallen Heroes went on a summer vacation to Lithuania. The trip is taking place at the invitation of the mayor and administration of the Taurage region municipality. They will have a vacation and get acquainted with the culture of Lithuania.
Khmelnytskyi oblast
Khmelnytskyi community has sent over 300 different quadcopters to the military since the beginning of 2026.
Chernivtsi oblast
A memorial plaque to the fallen border guard Vasyl Totsky was unveiled in Bukovina. The soldier was killed on 9 May 2023. His friends, relatives, neighbors and government officials came to pay their respects to the Hero.
International support of Ukraine in the russian-Ukrainian war (russia’s invasion of Ukraine)
The Ministry of Energy reported that during the week, Lithuania, Australia, Sweden and the UK sent energy equipment worth almost EUR 2.5m to Ukraine to restore energy infrastructure.
