On 24 July, the aggressor attacked the positions of the Defense Forces 52 times.
Artillery shelling of border areas continues. In Sumy oblast, the settlements of Bachivsk, Neskuchne, Sopych, Korenok, Seredyna-Buda, Tovstodubove, Sopych, Iskryskivshchyna, and Bezsalivka were affected; in Chernihiv oblast – Arkhypivka.
Towards Northern Sloboda and Kursk, the enemy launched one airstrike, fired one missile, and carried out 36 shellings of settlements and positions of Ukrainian troops, including one shelling using a multiple launch rocket system.
Towards Southern Sloboda, the invaders made three attempts to break through the defense in the vicinity of Starytsia.
Towards Kupiansk, there was one enemy attack heading towards Kupyansk.
Towards Lyman, Ukrainian warriors repelled seven attempts by the invaders to advance towards the settlements of Drobysheve, Novoselivka, Stavky, Lyman, and Ozerne. One attack is still ongoing.
Towards Sloviansk, the Defense Forces repelled 12 enemy attacks in the vicinity of the settlements of Zakitne, Kryva Luka, and Riznykivka, and towards Mykolaivka and Rai-Oleksandrivka. Three engagements are still ongoing.
Towards Kramatorsk, russian invaders launched one attack in the vicinity of Fedorivka Druha.
Towards Kostiantynivka, Ukrainian defenders repelled 10 attacks in the vicinity of the settlements of Kostiantynivka and Illinivka, and towards Mykolaipillia and Vilne. One engagement is ongoing.
Towards Pokrovsk, since the beginning of the day, the occupiers have made 13 attempts to push Ukrainian warriors out of their positions in the vicinity of Dorozhne and Udachne, and towards the settlements of Shevchenko, Novooleksandrivka, Vasylivka, and Serhiivka.

Kharkiv oblast
Frontline
Over the past day, there were 233 combat engagements at the front. Towards Southern Sloboda, the Defense Forces repelled 11 attacks by russian troops in the vicinity of Vovchansk, Vilcha, Starytsia, and Lyman, as well as towards Khatnye. Towards Kupyansk, the enemy conducted no assault operations.
Four service members of the Rifle Battalion of the 57th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade were able to exit positions in Vovchansk after a month.
Shelling
24 July
russian troops launched four strikes with guided aerial bombs on the village of Svitlychne, Zolochiv hromada. Two two-story residential buildings, private houses, and an administrative building of an agricultural enterprise were damaged. According to local authorities, there are no people left in the village following evacuation.
Around 05:00, a Molniya drone attacked Zolochiv Hospital. Windows of the medical facility were damaged; there were no casualties.
Near Pysarivka, an FPV drone attacked workers of an agricultural enterprise during field work. One of the men sustained severe injuries with traumatic amputation of both legs, the second — shrapnel wounds, an eye injury, and a closed traumatic brain injury.
In Berezivka, Zolochiv community, a car blew up on an unknown explosive object. Two people were injured.
In Kyivskyi district of Kharkiv, the driver of a car hit by a russian drone strike died.
In Izium, as a result of a strike, provisionally with a Banderol drone-missile, an Ukrposhta branch was damaged. People were not injured.
russian aviation also struck a freight branch of Nova Poshta in Izium. A fire broke out over an area of about 700 square meters. The company reported that it will compensate clients for the cost of destroyed shipments and has already engaged backup logistics routes to minimize delivery delays.
23 July
According to Kharkiv RMA, russian troops attacked 20 settlements in the oblast. Nine people were injured, including a child.
In Zolochiv, men aged 52 and 92, a 66-year-old woman, and a 16-year-old boy were injured. In Andriivka, Balakliia hromada, women aged 70, 48, and 42 were injured. In Maksymivka, a 34-year-old man was injured, in Bilyi Kolodiaz — a 67-year-old man.
Around 23:20, an FPV drone hit an emergency medical care vehicle heading to a call in Zolochiv. The 52-year-old driver and paramedic suffered concussions; the vehicle was damaged.
Over the day, russian troops used three KABs, four Geran-2 UAVs, one Lancet UAV, seven Molniya UAVs, seven FPV drones, and 17 more drones of other types. Residential buildings, cars, an emergency medical care vehicle, a post office, a farm, warehouse premises, power grids, property of a farm enterprise, and other civilian infrastructure facilities were damaged in Bohodukhiv, Kupyansk, Izium, Kharkiv, Lozova, and Chuhuiv regions.
Other
The transit evacuation point in Lozova received 207 people over the day. Since the launch of its operation, 47,400 evacuees have been registered.

Donetsk oblast
Frontline
Towards Pokrovsk, the Defense Forces repelled 36 russian attacks. Towards Sloviansk, the Ukrainian military stopped 19 assaults towards Kryva Luka, Zakitne, Riznykivka, Pyskunivka, Mykolaivka, and Rai-Oleksandrivka. Towards Kostiantynivka, the enemy launched 16 attacks, and 15 towards Lyman.
russian troops launched a massive tank assault towards Dobropillia, deploying dozens of armored vehicles. The offensive was stopped by pilots of the “Phoenix” border unit together with adjacent units. According to the military, nine tanks, two armored vehicles, and three Grad MLRS launchers were destroyed, and several dozen occupiers were eliminated.
Shelling
Around 10:40, russian troops launched an airstrike with two FAB-250 air bombs with UMPK on the city. A 66-year-old man and a 75-year-old woman were killed; the identities of three more deceased are being established. Nine people were injured — five women aged 23 to 52 and four men aged 27 to 46. Ten private houses, a consulate building, an enterprise, a wholesale base, and eight cars were damaged.
According to the police, on July 23, russian troops carried out 1,334 strikes against the territory of Donetsk oblast. Six settlements were under fire. One person was killed, and 21 others were injured. 62 civilian objects were damaged, including 45 residential buildings.
In Sloviansk, as a result of strikes with KABs and drones, one person was killed and 15 others were injured. Eight apartment buildings, five private houses, an excavator, and a civilian car were damaged.
In Kramatorsk, four civilians were injured due to artillery shelling, airstrikes, and drone attacks. Two private and four apartment buildings, as well as five cars, were damaged.
In Druzhkivka, two people were injured as a result of strikes with a KAB-250 and drones. 11 private houses and an enterprise were destroyed.
In Raihorodok, 14 private houses were damaged. In Oleksandrivka, an FPV drone damaged a civilian car.
Other
Donetsk Oblast Prosecutor’s Office has launched an investigation into the execution of a Ukrainian prisoner of war. According to the investigation, on July 13 near the village of Yalta, Komar community, the russian military shot a captured Armed Forces of Ukraine soldier after interrogation. Proceedings were opened under the article on a war crime that caused the death of a person.
Luhansk oblast
Combat Operations
russian troops shelled Ukrainian positions in Luhansk oblast 36 times. The enemy carried out ten shellings from tube artillery, five from mortars, used six FPV drones, and dropped explosives from drones 15 times. Towards Lyman, the Defense Forces repelled 15 attempts by russian troops to break through the Ukrainian defense.
Occupation
The so-called “LPR” authorities expanded the mechanism for appropriating the property of Ukrainian citizens, allowing the confiscation not only of abandoned housing, but also of all movable property inside it. After taking inventory, furniture, household appliances, and other items are planned to be transferred along with the apartments to new residents on the housing waitlist.
The occupation administration claimed to have received over 55,000 applications from prospective students to “LPR” educational institutions. However, these figures do not correspond to the demographic situation of the region, which hundreds of thousands of residents left after the start of the full-scale war, including young people and families with children.

Kyiv oblast
According to Kyiv RMA, in the afternoon, the russians attacked the territory of a private training ground in Bucha region with ballistic missiles, where events were taking place. Ten people are known to have been killed and about one hundred injured. As a result of the shelling, 27 private houses and 44 vehicles were damaged. Information regarding the number of killed and wounded is being clarified.


Kyiv City Express reported that in the coming days, forced stops of ring electric trains during air raid alerts in the capital are possible. The company explained that russian troops are carrying out targeted strikes against infrastructure, so trains will be stopped for the safety of passengers.
Kyiv City State Administration reported that in Kyiv, work continues to eliminate the consequences of the pollution of Lake Kyrylivske caused by russian shelling on July 2. The volume of petroleum products in the body of water was reduced by more than 12 times. The State Emergency Service completed the emergency rescue stage of the work, during which the contamination was localized and the main mass of the oil-water emulsion was pumped out. Going forward, work will continue to clean the reservoir, monitor its ecological state, and eliminate the remaining contamination.
Zhytomyr oblast
According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, on July 23, as a result of enemy shelling in Zhytomyr oblast, a fire broke out at a fuel infrastructure facility. Firefighting efforts were complicated by constant threats of repeated strikes. All fires have been extinguished. There are no casualties or injuries.
According to the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, in Zhytomyr oblast, 11 educational institutions were designated to receive funds for backup power supply systems funded by a state subvention. This will allow educational institutions to operate and continue in-person learning even in the event of power outages during the autumn-winter period. All equipment is scheduled to be installed and commissioned by November 15, 2026.
Sumy oblast
Andrii Bieliaiev, Head of Shostka Regional Military Administration, reported that at around 2:00am on 24 July, russian forces struck Shostka by a UAV. Five houses were damaged and outbuildings were destroyed.
The Regional Military Administration informed that between the morning of 23 July and the morning of 24 July, russian forces carried out nearly 90 attacks on 24 settlements across 12 territorial communities in Sumy oblast. The highest number of attacks was recorded in Sumy and Shostka regions. The enemy used mortars, artillery, multiple launch rocket systems, FPV drones, UAVs and guided aerial bombs. Air raid alerts were in effect across the oblast for 22 hours and 54 minutes during the day.
According to the Regional Military Administration, as of the morning of 24 July, six civilians were injured in russian attacks across Sumy oblast over the past 24 hours. The following damage was also recorded:
- In Nova Sloboda community, a 49-year-old driver was injured when an enemy drone struck a Ukrposhta mobile post office vehicle. A private residential house was destroyed, while private residential houses, passenger cars and Ukrposhta vehicle were damaged.
- In Velyka Pysarivka community, a local woman was injured in a russian drone strike.
- In Esman community, a 51-year-old woman and a 33-year-old man were injured when an enemy drone struck a vehicle. The vehicle was damaged.
- In Krasnopillia community, a 64-year-old woman was injured when an enemy drone struck a house.
- In Krolevets community, a 41-year-old man was injured in a UAV attack.
- In Richky community, a tractor was damaged.
- In Bilopillia community, non-residential premises, private residential houses and an administrative building were damaged.
- In Sumy community, civilian infrastructure facilities, non-residential premises and a passenger car were damaged.
- In Putyvl community, a civilian infrastructure facility was damaged.
- In Hlukhiv community, passenger cars and an apartment building were damaged.
- In Trostianets community, a lorry was damaged.
Over the past 24 hours, local authorities, together with units of the State Emergency Service, the National Police and non-governmental organisations, evacuated 14 people from border communities.
Chernihiv oblast
The 105th Border Guard Detachment named after Prince Volodymyr the Great reported that operators of Khymera unmanned systems unit destroyed russian military vehicles and artillery in Bryansk oblast, russia, which borders Chernihiv oblast.
Chernihivoblenergo informed that following a russian strike on an energy facility in a neighbouring oblast on 24 July, around 87,000 consumers in Nizhyn, Koriukivka and Novhorod-Siverskyi regions were left without electricity. Power engineers are working to restore the electricity supply.
Oleksandr Seliverstov, Head of Novhorod-Siverskyi Regional Military Administration, said that during the day on 24 July, the enemy attacked Semenivka by FPV drones. Two strikes were recorded, at around 12:35pm and 1:20pm. One civilian vehicle caught fire, while another civilian vehicle was destroyed.
According to Chernihivoblenergo, on the morning of 24 July that around 150,000 consumers in Chernihiv regions and Chernihiv city were left without electricity after an energy facility was hit.
Oleksandr Seliverstov, Head of Novhorod-Siverskyi Regional Military Administration, said that on the morning of 24 July, russian forces attacked a private boarding house in Radychiv village, Ponornytska community, by four Heran UAVs. Desna boarding house caught fire as a result of the strikes.

The State Emergency Service of Chernihiv oblast reported that between 23 and 24 July, enemy drone strikes caused a fire at a petrol station in Koriukivka region and set dry vegetation alight in Chernihiv region. All fires were extinguished.
Chernihivoblenergo informed that a russian attack on 23 July damaged an energy facility, leaving more than 70,000 consumers without electricity in Chernihiv city, Chernihiv region and Koriukivka region.
Oleksandr Seliverstov, Head of Novhorod-Siverskyi Regional Military Administration, said that at around 7:00pm on 23 July, russian forces struck the centre of Semenivka by an Upyr FPV drone, damaging a private household. In another attack at around 9:00pm involving an Upyr FPV drone, a 30-year-old man was injured.
According to Chernihiv Border Guard Detachment reported that on 23 July, russian forces attacked three border communities in Chernihiv oblast: Novhorod-Siverskyi, Semenivka and Snovsk. The enemy carried out mortar attacks (2 explosions), tube artillery strikes (9 explosions), Molniya UAV attacks (1 explosion), FPV drone attacks (8 explosions), Upyr FPV drone attacks (3 explosions), and dropped an explosive device from a UAV (1 explosion). Eight settlements came under enemy fire.

Dnipropetrovsk oblast
Mykola Lukashuk, Head of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast Council, reports that the occupiers struck with drones and artillery against the region center, as well as Chervonohryhorivka and Marhanets communities. An unused building caught fire. An apartment building, 4 private houses, a gas station, and an outbuilding were damaged. A fire broke out in Novopillia community as a result of a UAV attack.
In Pokrovske rural community, a woman was injured after the enemy hit a car with a drone. In Nikopol, a man was wounded.
The occupiers fired artillery and drones at the region center, as well as Chervonohryhorivka, Marhanets, Pokrovske rural, and Pokrovske urban communities. A fire broke out. A truck was destroyed. An apartment building, 2 private houses, a shop, a humanitarian center, a garage, a minibus, cars, and equipment were damaged. As a result of a UAV attack in Pavlohrad, a fire broke out.
Drones struck Hleiuvatka, Zelenodolsk, and Devladove communities. Fires broke out, and infrastructure was damaged.
Kirovohrad oblast
According to Kirovohrad RMA, as a result of an enemy attack in Nadlak community, a private house was damaged. One of the enterprises in the Kropyvnytskyi raion also came under strike.
Cherkasy oblast

Zaporizhzhia oblast
On 24 July, russian forces attacked Zaporizhzhia with guided aerial bombs (KABs). According to Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration Head Ivan Fedorov, there were casualties, and private homes were destroyed and damaged.
The State Emergency Service in the region reported that the number of people injured in yesterday’s russian airstrike on Zaporizhzhia rose to 31.
Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration reported that yesterday, 23 July, russian forces launched 1,001 strikes on 48 settlements across Zaporizhzhia oblast. russian troops carried out 14 airstrikes on Zaporizhzhia, Malokaterynivka, Novomykolaivka, Bilenke, Yurkivka, Zapasne, Rybalske, Preobrazhenka, Yehorivka, Chervonyi Yar, Mala Tokmachka, Chervona Krynytsia, and Mykilske. 740 UAVs of various types (mostly FPV drones) attacked Kalynivka, Malokaterynivka, Kushuhum, Bilenke, Richne, Novoyakovlivka, Hryhorivka, Novooleksandrivka, Odarivka, Rezedivka, Pidhirne, Adrianivka, Stepnohirsk, Prymorske, Stepove, Pavlivka, Lukianivske, Mali Shcherbaky, Orikhiv, Zaliznychne, Shcherbaky, Novoandriivka, Novodanylivka, Mala Tokmachka, Bilohiria, Luhivske, Charivne, Novoselivka, Huliaipilske, Hirke, Staroukrainka, Sviatopetrivka, Verkhnia Tersa, Vozdvyzhivka, Tsvitkove, Kosivtseve, and Dobropillia. Two MLRS strikes hit Novodanylivka. russian forces also carried out 245 artillery strikes targeting Richne, Veselianka, Hryhorivka, Novoyakovlivka, Stepnohirsk, Prymorske, Stepove, Pavlivka, Lukianivske, Mali Shcherbaky, Orikhiv, Zaliznychne, Shcherbaky, Novoandriivka, Novodanylivka, Mala Tokmachka, Bilohiria, Luhivske, Charivne, Novoselivka, Huliaipilske, Hirke, Staroukrainka, Sviatopetrivka, Verkhnia Tersa, Vozdvyzhivka, Tsvitkove, Kosivtseve, and Dobropillia. Authorities received 250 reports of damage to infrastructure, homes, vehicles, and outbuildings. One person was killed, and another 34 were injured as a result of russian attacks on Zaporizhzhia and Zaporizhzhia region.
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as of 4:00 pm on 24 July, Ukrainian Defense Forces were repelling two russian attacks toward Charivne, Huliaipole sector. On 23 July, Ukrainian forces repelled 12 russian assaults towards Huliaipole and three more towards Orikhiv.
The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) reported that centralized water supply was cut off in the temporarily occupied city of Enerhodar and at the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant due to damage to the power grid. Water from underground wells is currently being used to cool the reactors.
Mykolaiv oblast
Acting Head of Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration Heorhii Reshetilov reported that during the day, russian forces attacked Mykolaiv with Shahed-type UAVs. The port infrastructure was targeted.
Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration reported that yesterday, 23 July, and this morning, russian forces attacked the region with Shahed/Gerbera-type attack drones. The port infrastructure was targeted. No casualties were reported.
This morning, russian forces attacked Snihurivka community with a Molniya-type UAV. The attack damaged a gas station building. No casualties were reported.
Yesterday, russian forces carried out three FPV drone attacks on Ochakiv community. No casualties were reported.
Odesa oblast
Odesa Regional Military Administration reported that on 24 July, russian forces once again attacked Odesa. A furniture store was damaged, and two people were injured.
During the night, russian forces launched another massive attack on Odesa oblast using missiles and attack UAVs, striking residential areas and industrial infrastructure. A woman and a four-year-old child were injured. The attack damaged the roof of an apartment building, private homes, passenger vehicles, and the grounds of one of the enterprises.
Kherson oblast
Kherson Regional Military Administration reported that on 24 July, at around 1:00 pm, russian forces once again attacked Korabelnyi district of Kherson with a UAV. A 60-year-old man sustained blast injuries and shrapnel wounds to the head, neck, torso, and limbs.
At approximately the same time, russian forces shelled a hospital in Bilozerka with artillery. Two nurses suffered blast injuries, concussions, and traumatic brain injuries.
In the morning, russian forces attacked Tsentralnyi district of Kherson. A 68-year-old man sustained a concussion, shrapnel wounds to the shoulder blade, an arm contusion, blast injuries, and a closed traumatic brain injury. A 60-year-old driver employed by a medical facility sustained blast injuries and multiple shrapnel wounds to his back and arms.
At around 6:00 am in Korabelnyi district of Kherson, russian forces attacked a man with a drone. The 56-year-old resident sustained blast injuries and shrapnel wounds to his leg.
Today, six residents of Kherson oblast sought medical assistance for injuries sustained in previous russian attacks. Two men who had been injured the previous afternoon in russian drone strikes on Korabelnyi district of Kherson were diagnosed with blast injuries and concussions. Three more people sought treatment for injuries sustained during the russian airstrike on central Kherson, bringing the total number of people injured in yesterday’s airstrikes on the city center to 10. A woman also sought medical assistance after being injured in a russian drone strike on Dniprovskyi district of Kherson on the afternoon of 22 July.
The Police of Kherson oblast reported that yesterday, 23 July, russian attacks targeted Kherson, Molodizhne, Bilozerka, Antonivka, Kizomys, Prydniprovske, Nadiivka, Poniativka, Komyshany, Zelenivka, Dniprovske, Veletynske, Tomyna Balka, Romashkove, Stanislav, Oleksandrivka, Shyroka Balka, Sofiivka, Osokorivka, Khreshchenivka, Zolota Balka, Lvivski Otruby, Charivne, Novoraisk, Novovoznesenske, Vysoke, Matrosivka, Tavriiske, Kozatske, and Vesele. russian attacks damaged six apartment buildings, 36 private homes, a medical facility, two educational institutions, a fire and rescue station building, an administrative building, a hotel, a shopping center, and nine vehicles. Twenty-one people, including a police officer, were injured as a result of the russian attacks.

Volyn oblast
After a large-scale reconstruction, a renovated department of the Olynsk Regional Center for Orthopedics, Traumatology and Arthroscopy was opened, where the most severe injuries are treated. About 1,500 complex surgeries are performed here every year and after the start of a full-scale war, the department became one of the key ones for treating patients with severe injuries, including military personnel.
Zakarpattia oblast
The RMA reported that Private Vitalii Kutsaev was awarded with the III degree Order of Courage (posthumously).
Ivano-Frankivsk oblast
A regional forum was held in Prykarpattia with the participation of representatives of territorial communities, digital leaders and IT infrastructure specialists. Participants focused on the development of digital infrastructure of communities, the implementation of modern electronic services, digital solutions for management, as well as on cybersecurity issues. Separately, they presented the capabilities of the regional European Digital Innovation Hub (EDIH), which helps communities implement modern technologies.
Lviv oblast
In Strii region, families of fallen soldiers were awarded high state awards (posthumously). Taras Tymkiv and Yaroslav Oblonenko were awarded the Knight’s Cross medal.
Rivne oblast
216 residents of Rivne oblast returned to active life this year thanks to free joint replacements. Such operations are fully covered by the Medical Guarantees Program and the necessary endoprostheses are centrally purchased by the state. In total, 475 endoprostheses are planned to be installed in the oblast this year.
Ternopil oblast
50 children from Ternopil community went on a summer vacation to the Forest camp. These are children from privileged categories. All tickets were purchased with funds from Ternopil City Council. The 1st health shift ended the day before – 60 children who went to the camp on 18 June. Now another 50 young Ternopil residents are starting their summer adventure.
Khmelnytskyi oblast
Khmelnytskyi City Council has made changes to the Defense Forces Support Programs. It is about voting on a benefit for the third industrial park of the community. This is an important economic step that can provide up to 500 new jobs and over UAH 400m in investments.
Chernivtsi oblast
The 1st regional event The Power of Families was held in Bukovina. The event brought together foster families, family-type orphanages, adoptive parents and foster carers from across the oblast and evacuated regions. Entertainment locations were organized for children on the site and parents had the opportunity to talk with representatives of the authorities and specialized services.
International support of Ukraine in the russian-Ukrainian war (russia’s invasion of Ukraine)
Ukraine has received the second tranche from the IMF under a new four-year program for $690m. The funds will be used to support macro-financial stability, including financing priority expenditures.
