Russian troops shelled 9 settlements: the towns of Kurakhove, Myrnohrad, Selydove, Toretsk, the village of Shcherbynivka, the villages of Antonivka, Dachanske, Rozlyv, and Uspenivka.

Luhansk region

Almost every day, new consequences of hostile shelling are revealed in frontline villages. According to the RMA, these are mostly hits by enemy shells to previously damaged buildings and structures that could not be repaired. The majority of the village is almost completely destroyed. Russians regularly hit the surviving households.

Yesterday, Nevske and Makiivka were shelled with cannon artillery. The invaders also used 47 drones in the area of these villages.

The enemy attempted to conduct offensive actions near Stelmakhivka, Makiivka, Nevske, and in Bilohorivka.

In the 10 years since the capture of the city, russians have not paid attention to the infrastructure. Over the past two years, they have only been engaged in demonstrative repairs in the centre, until one of the bridges over the Luhan River began to collapse recently. It was closed and they promised to try to rebuild it in a year. They also checked the condition of the other bridges, three of which, ‘surprisingly’, also turned out to be in disrepair. So far, they have not completely blocked the traffic, as it would have caused a transport collapse in the city. However, vehicles weighing more than 3.5 tonnes were banned.

The situation on the border of the so-called ‘luhansk People’s Republic’ with the russian federation is not changing for the better. Luhansk residents are outraged by kilometre-long queues and thorough checks at checkpoints. They say that despite the occupation authorities’ promises to simplify control, nothing has changed in two years: ‘russians continue to treat the occupied territories as a reservation’.
