On 22 September, the occupiers focused their efforts on Pokrovsk and Kurakhove. Ukrainian defenders tried to stop the enemy, holding the lines, and disrupting russian plans.
There were 65 engagements on the front line.
Throughout the day, several settlements in Sumy and Chernihiv oblasts suffered from terrorist attacks. Artillery strikes hit Brusky, Malushyne, Pavlivka, Zhuravka, Velyka Pysarivka, and Boiaro-Lezhachi, while airstrikes targeted Esman, Bilovody, Zhuravka, Buvalyne, and Yastrubshchyna. According to available information, russians also conducted ten airstrikes on Kursk oblast, using 12 guided bombs.
Towards Kharkiv, there were two russian attacks near Vovchansk. Fighting continues, and the situation is under control.
Towards Kupyansk, russians tried to advance towards Ukrainian positions in the vicinities of Petropavlivka, Synkivka, Hlushkivka, Kruhliakivka, Lozova, and Stelmakhivka. Five attacks are still ongoing. Overall, ten clashes have been recorded in this direction. russians dropped nine bombs in the vicinities of Kupiansk, Kupiansk-Vuzlovy, and Pershotravneve.
Towards Lyman, the aggressor increased the number of attacks to five. Fighting occurred near Cherneshchyna, Druzhelyubivka, Novosadove, and Dibrova, with two ongoing clashes.
Towards Siversk, russians attempted to breach Ukrainian defenses near Vyimka. The situation remains under control. russians also conducted airstrikes with guided bombs on Ivanivka, Sviato-Pokrovske, and Sloviansk.
Towards Kramatorsk, Ukrainian defenders continue to repel two russian attacks near Kalynivka and Klishchiivka. Five russian attacks have been stopped near Hryhorivka and Stupochky. russians used unguided rockets against Stupochky.
Towards Toretsk, russians, supported by assault and bomber aircraft, attacked four times near Dachne, Toretsk, Shcherbynivka, and Nelipivka. Fighting is ongoing near Toretsk.
Towards Pokrovsk, there was the highest enemy activity, where 21 clashes of varying intensity occurred today. Fighting is ongoing in six locations near Novotoretske, Hrodivka, Novohrodivka, and Marynivka. The russia’s aircraft targeted Oleksandropol with rockets throughout the day.
The situation remains difficult towards Kurakhove. Six assaults near Hirnyk, Tsukurine, Zhelanne Druhe, and Katerynivka were repelled, and four clashes continue near Kostyantynivka and Hirnyk.
Towards Vremivka, the aggressor is attacking the vicinities of Vuhledar and Vodiane, with four clashes ongoing. Enemy airstrikes hit the vicinities near Bohoyavlenka, Urozhayne, and Rivnopil.
Towards Huliaipole and Orikhiv there weren’t any significant activities today. russians are conducting airstrikes and artillery shelling against Ukrainian troops and settlements.
Towards Kherson, Ukrainian defenders repelled one russian assault.
Ukrainian forces continue to wear down the enemy along the entire line of contact and in the rear.
Oleksandr Khorunzhyi, SES Spokesperson reported that since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, 97 rescuers of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SES) have been killed and another 395 injured.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that more than 500,000 users have accessed information on the Care for the Serviceman service. The service offers over 90 samples of various documents, including applications, reports, certificates, and appeals.
Recent war events in the east of Ukraine
Kharkiv oblast
The General Staff reported that towards Kupiansk sector, russians dropped nine bombs and tried to advance in the areas of Petropavlivka, Synkivka, Hlushkivka, Kruhlyakivka, Lozova and Stelmakhivka – 10 firefights took place, five of which are ongoing. Two assaults took place towards Kharkiv near Vovchansk, and one battle is ongoing.
According to Oleksandr Hololobov, Head of the community, a human-sized crater was left by a russian unmanned aerial vehicle that also hit the Malodanylivka community at night. According to police, Chaikivka was hit in the community overnight, with three private houses damaged by shelling.
Volodymyr Dehtiarev, a representative of the brigade’s public relations service, says that over the past week, fighters of the 13th National Guard Brigade captured three or four russian soldiers. According to him, russia is sending newly mobilised soldiers into combat in the brigade’s area of responsibility, mostly people from places of detention.
Oleh Syniehubov, Head of the RMA, reports that the day before, at 23:01, there was a hit in Kharkiv, Shevchenkivskyi district. Residential buildings on the 16th and 9th floors were destroyed, and 7 other buildings were damaged. More than 1200 windows were smashed and 21 private cars were damaged.
21 people were injured, including 3 children (a 17-year-old boy, a 17-year-old girl and an 8-year-old girl). As of the morning, 8 people were hospitalised. Two of them (a 17-year-old boy and a 39-year-old woman) are in serious condition. The others are in moderate condition.
As a result of the shelling at 23:41 in Balakliia, Izium region, a warehouse building was on fire.

At 21:50 a house was damaged as a result of shelling in Kostiantynivka village, Bohodukhiv region.

Towards Kharkiv, the enemy attempted to storm the area near Vovchansk. In addition, enemy aircraft struck residential areas of Kharkiv with anti-aircraft missiles, causing damage to civilians and civilian infrastructure.

Donetsk oblast
The General Staff reported that the russian army has become more active towards Lyman . Over the past day, russian troops stormed Ukrainian positions in this area of the frontline 28 times, compared to 10 fewer attacks the day before.
Towards Pokrovsk, russian occupiers stormed the positions of the Defence Forces 28 times. The highest concentration of attacks was near Selidove. The russian army reduced its activity towards Kurakhove and conducted 25 attacks over the last day, with the occupants concentrating their main efforts near Heorhiivka. Ukrainian troops repelled more than 10 attacks towards Kramatorsk and Toretsk.
Soldiers of the 33rd separate mechanised brigade stopped a massive assault by the russian army towards Kurakhove. In two days, russian troops used 27 pieces of equipment and an infantry company, while Ukrainian troops neutralised 16 pieces of equipment and over 60 russian occupants.
The RMA said that a 4-year-old child was wounded in a shelling in Pokrovsk yesterday. She is in a serious condition. She was taken to a hospital in Dobropillya with a brain injury.
Five people were wounded in the shelling of Kramatorsk. The city came under enemy fire this evening. Among the wounded is a 16-year-old girl who is in serious condition. Four houses and two cars were damaged.
The Ministry of Energy reported that two women were killed in the shelling of a mine in Donetsk oblast yesterday. At that time, 371 workers were in the mine, all of them were brought to the surface.
Pokrovske RMA reported that the russian army had hit one of the community’s coal enterprises three times around 10:10 pm.
Anastasia Medviedieva, Spokeswoman for Donetsk regional prosecutor’s office informs that a 78-year-old man was killed in the morning russian shelling of Myrnohrad. russian troops hit the city, probably with cannon artillery, and damaged the road surface and private houses.
Vadym Liakh, Head of the RMA, informs that three people were wounded as a result of russian shelling of Sloviansk in Donetsk oblast. The occupiers attacked Slovkurort and Cherevkivka neighbourhoods, there were destroyed and damaged houses. Sloviansk was shelled at 11:50 a.m., preliminarily with a FAB-250 bomb with a universal planning and correction module. The russian occupiers hit the private sector of the city and wounded three women. One of them was rescued from the rubble of a house, and two of her neighbours, aged 53 and 54, were also wounded.
Velyka Novosilka village military administration reported that russian troops attacked the villages of Shakhtarske and Konstantinople with MLRS and CABS. Two people were wounded.
Petro Andriushchenko, Adviser to the mayor of Mariupol , says that in Mariupol region, the russian occupation authorities are conducting a ‘mop-up’ of the pro-Ukrainian population after hitting the Russian army ammunition depot in Hlyboke. People are being checked by the russian Guard, police and FSB. They are blocking roads to and from the city, inspecting houses, cars and phones.
Operational situation in the region as of the morning of 22 September:
Volnovakha region. In Bohoiavlenka of Vuhledar community, 1 house was destroyed and 7 damaged. A person was wounded in Velyka Novosylka community and 6 houses were damaged in Shakhtarske; 3 people were wounded in Kostiantynopol.
Pokrovsk region. In Kurakhove, 1 person was killed and 2 wounded, a shopping centre, private houses and multi-storey buildings were damaged; in Hirnyk, 2 people were wounded and 4 buildings were damaged; in Kostiantynopilske, a person was wounded and 5 buildings were damaged. In Dobropillia, 19 private houses and an administrative building were damaged. In Pokrovsk, a person was wounded, 2 houses, a social facility and an enterprise were damaged. In Udachne, 2 people were killed and 1 injured. In the morning a person died in Myrnohrad and 5 houses were damaged.
Kramatorsk region. In Novyi Lyman community, 1 house was destroyed and 1 damaged. In Kleban-Byk of Illinivka community, 2 facilities were damaged. In Oleksiyevo-Druzhkivka, a person was injured and a business was damaged.
Bakhmut region. A house was destroyed in Siversk, 2 houses and a non-residential building were damaged. In Chasiv Yar community, 14 private houses and an industrial building were damaged.
In total, russians fired 24 times at the settlements of Donetsk oblast over the last day. 600 people, including 55 children, were evacuated from the frontline.
Vadym Filashkin, Head of Donetsk Regional Military Administration, informs that over the past day, russians killed 3 residents of Donetsk oblast: 2 in Udachne and 1 in Kurakhovo. Another 12 people were wounded in the region over the day.
Luhansk oblast
Luhansk Military Administration said that russians attempted to attack near Stelmakhivka, Bilohorivka, Hrekivka, Zhuravka Balka (formerly Nevske) and Makiivka yesterday.
The occupiers are pressing from several directions. They are trying to hit the fortifications of our fighters with all available weapons and are hitting the villages around them. Kuzemivka and Makiivka are being shelled with cannon artillery and drones. Stelmakhivka and Balka Zhuravka also came under artillery fire. The latter was shelled twice by russians using multiple rocket launchers and 73 UAVs.
According to one of the decrees issued by the kremlin, additional social guarantees are provided for those russians who move to the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine. This includes the so-called ‘luhansk people’s republic’. First of all, payments are promised to those who will move with their families immediately. Money is almost the only incentive that works in the process of artificial settlement of the occupied settlements of Luhansk oblast. There is no mass return of people, which is periodically claimed by representatives of the occupation authorities of these cities.
Artem Lysogor, head of Luhansk RMA, reports that Sievierodonetsk RMA handed over 100 FPV drones and five Mavic 3Ts to the defenders. The quadcopters are already on their way to the frontline.
Artem Lysogor, head of Luhansk RMA, reports that more than 2,300 hectares of territory have burned down in the occupied part of Luhansk oblast, in particular in the Stanytsia-Luhanska community. What is happening now in the north of Ukraine
Kyiv oblast
Ruslan Kravchenko, Head of Kyiv Regional Military Administration, reported that the alert lasted for almost 8 hours at night – the enemy attacked Kyiv oblast with drones. There were no hits to critical and residential infrastructure. In two districts of the region, as a result of falling debris, grass and forest flooring caught fire, and a private house was damaged.
The RMA announced that communities and business representatives of Kyiv oblast handed over UAH 14m worth of equipment to the soldiers of the 72nd separate mechanised brigade named after the Black Zaporizhians. The soldiers, who are defending Ukraine in the east, received quadcopters, electronic warfare devices, FPV drones, and charging stations.
Kyiv City Military Administration reported that by the end of the year, Kyiv will develop a concept for memorialising the fallen soldiers in the war with russia, as well as a plan for its implementation. The goal is to honour the memory of Kyiv defenders who died defending Ukraine.
Mayor Oleksandr Markushyn informed that a Centre for Integrated Social Services will be built in Irpin on the territory of an abandoned children’s camp. Particular attention will be paid to families with children who have returned from the temporarily occupied territories and were returned from russia, children of veterans and children who lost one of their parents during the war. The territory will include 20 modular houses for families in difficult life circumstances, rehabilitation centres for children and adolescents with disabilities, a social hostel, and an inclusive sports and playground.
KCMA announced that over 300 orphans in need of parental care are registered in Kyiv. Of these, 59 are children with disabilities. At the same time, the number of people wishing to adopt a child has tripled. Intercountry adoption and adoption by Ukrainian citizens permanently residing abroad have been suspended during martial law. However, the procedure and conditions for adoption for Ukrainians remain nearly unchanged.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine reported that the competition of firefighters and rescuers was held in the capital. It consisted of individual races, tandems and relays. Veteran rescuers who suffered as a result of russian aggression joined the competition.

Zhytomyr oblast

Zhytomyr City Council reported that on 20 September, students of Zhytomyr Lyceum No. 3, together with volunteers, handed over electronic warfare equipment to the military. The funds were raised at charity and volunteer events involving students, parents, teachers and staff.
Oleksandr Kovalchuk, a 47-year-old veteran of the russian-Ukrainian war, has been working at the Daddy Fairy preschool in Zhytomyr for two months. He is the only veteran kindergarten teacher in Ukraine. Oleksandr is also the deputy head of the regional Ukrainian Military Organisation for work with preschool youth. The organisation includes combatants and war veterans who are always welcome guests in the kindergarten.
Sumy oblast
During night and morning, russians carried out 23 shelling attacks on border areas and settlements in Sumy oblast, resulting in 48 explosions. The attacks targeted Khotin, Bilopillia, Myropilia, Krasnopillia, Velyka Pysarivka, Richky, Putyvl, Nova Sloboda, Hlukhiv, Shalyhyne, Shostka communities.
During the day, 21 September, russians carried out 81 shelling attacks on border areas and settlements in Sumy oblast, resulting in 175 explosions. The attacks targeted Sumy, Mykolaivka, Khotin, Yunakivka, Myropilia, Bilopillia, Richky, Krasnopillia, Velyka Pysarivka, Buryn, Trostianets, Nova Slobidka, Hlukhiv, Esman, Shalyhyne, Seredyna-Buda communities.

Sumy Regional Military Administration reported that modern shelters are being constructed in healthcare facilities in Sumy oblast. More than UAH 45.7mi from the state budget have been allocated for creating safe conditions in three medical institutions in Shostka, Buryn, and Sumy, on the basis of co-financing. The projects include major renovations of shelters in these hospitals. The current status of project implementation, funding, deadlines, and potential risks were thoroughly discussed by Olena Boiko, Deputy Head of the Regional Military Administration, along with community and healthcare leaders. It was noted during the discussions that tender procedures have been completed, and construction work has already begun and is ongoing at all sites. Special attention to the construction of these shelters is being emphasised by both the national and regional leadership.
Chernihiv oblast
During the day, russian forces attacked four border communities in Chernihiv oblast. The fire was carried out using artillery and mortars, and drones were also used to drop explosives from UAVs.
Novhorod-Siverskyi community:
- 28 explosions, likely by 120mm mortar and three explosions, likely explosive devices from UAVs on Mykhalchyna Sloboda village;
- 1 explosion, likely by barrel artillery and one explosion, likely by a FPV-drone on Chaikyne village;
- 3 hits , likely by FPV-drones, four explosions, likely by 120mm mortar and two explosions, likely explosive devices from UAVs on Hremiach village;
- 3 explosions, likely explosive devices from UAVs on Buchky.
Semenivka community:
- 5 hits, likely by tank in Yanzhulivka;
- 3 explosions, likely by a FPV-drone, nine explosions, likely by 120mm mortar, four explosions, likely by barrel artillery on Karpovychi village:
- 4 explosions, likely by FPV-drones on Tymonovychi village;
- 8 explosions, likely by barrel artillery on Orlynivka village;
- 7 explosions, likely by MLPS on Zaliznyi Mist village.
Snovsk community:

No casualties or injuries among the local population were reported as a result of the shelling.
Volunteers collected 85 bags of trash in Central Park of Culture and Recreation in Chernihiv. Every year, on 20 September, as part of World Cleanup Day, the public organisation “Let’s do it Ukraine” gathers Chernihiv residents at various locations throughout the city. The collected waste will be sorted and then taken for disposal.
Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine
Dnipropetrovsk oblast
Mykola Lukashuk, Head of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast Council, reported that the russian army continues to terrorise the civilian population of Nikopol region. Last night, on 21 September, the occupants shot at a car with two children in it. A 12-year-old girl and a 25-year-old woman were killed. A 25-year-old man and a 4-year-old girl were injured. The child is in serious condition. In general, russian troops shelled the region centre with artillery and kamikaze drones. The Chervonohryhorivka community was hit with hail. A gas service vehicle was damaged. According to the updated information, a private house and a gas pipeline were damaged as a result of attack on Nikopol on 21 September.
On 22 September the occupiers were shelling Nikopol all day long. In total, there were almost two and a half dozen attacks. Most of them were carried out with kamikaze drones, and several times with artillery. They targeted the region centre, Chervonohryhorivka, Myrove and Marhanets communities. Vinnytsia oblast
In the week from 16 to 22 September, it became known that 22 defenders from Vinnytsia oblast were killed.
Kirovohrad oblast
Andriy Raykovych, Head of Kirovohrad Regional Military Administration, said that the Air Armed forces were working in Kirovohrad region at night.
In Kropyvnytskyi, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine is implementing the project “Friendly Support”. It helps war veterans to physically and psychologically adapt to life after returning from the frontline.
Poltava oblast
Philip Pronin, Head if Poltava Regional Military Administration, reported that at night, the russian army attacked Poltava oblast with a UAV. There is damage to the energy infrastructure in one region of the oblay. As a result, 56 residential and 30 legal consumers were left without electricity.
Another reminder campaign “Don’t be silent. Captivity Kills”. It was not the first time it was organised in the city. About 15 people gathered for the action. Participants held posters with the words “Release Azov from captivity”, “Bring Azov home”, “Captivity kills”.
Cherkasy oblast
According to Igor Taburets, Head of Cherkasy Regional Military Administration, the Air Armed forces were working in Cherkasy oblast at night. According to preliminary data, the defenders shot down 14 russian drones. In one case, the falling debris caused a forest floor of 300 square metres to catch fire.
Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine
Zaporizhzhia oblast
Yesterday, russian forces carried out 367 attacks on 12 settlements in Zaporizhzhia oblast. The invaders conducted five airstrikes targeting Zaporizhzhia, Natalivka, Orikhiv, Novodarivka, and Temyrivka. Additionally, 196 drones of various modifications attacked Huliaipole, Novodanylivka, Novoandriivka, Robotyne, Mala Tokmachka, Levadne, and Malynivka. There were five rocket artillery (MLRS) strikes on Levadne, Novodanylivka, and Novoandriivka, and 161 artillery shelling incidents across the areas of Huliaipole, Novodanylivka, Novoandriivka, Robotyne, Mala Tokmachka, Malynivka, and Levadne. Eight reports were received regarding the destruction of residential houses and infrastructure objects.
According to the General Staff, the invaders did not carry out active operations towards Huliaipole and Orikhiv fronts today but continued airstrikes and artillery shelling on Ukrainian positions and nearby settlements. Yesterday, russian invaders attempted five assaults on Ukrainian positions towards Orikhiv but were repelled with losses and forced to retreat.
In response to potential blackouts, utility enterprises and institutions in Zaporizhzhia oblast purchased over two thousand generators to ensure uninterrupted power supply. Critical infrastructure objects such as mobile operator base stations and bakeries are also being equipped. Additionally, 15 cogeneration units will be installed in 13 boiler houses with support from UNICEF, UNDP, and the Dutch government.
There is a shortage of workers in critical sectors in the temporarily occupied city of Berdiansk. According to Viktoriia Halitsyna, Head of Berdiansk Military Administration, the city faces a severe shortage of employees in healthcare, education, and public utilities. Many job positions do not require higher education.
Mykolaiv oblast
On the night of 22 September, air defense forces shot down four Shahed 131/136 drones over Mykolaiv oblast.
On 21 September, the enemy launched six attacks on Kutsurub community using FPV drones. As a result of the attack a private house, outbuildings, a garage, and a car were damaged in the village of Dmytrivka, while a fire broke out on the roof of the local cultural center in the village of Parutyne. There were no injuries.
On 22 September, the weekly reminder campaign “Don’t Stay Silent! Captivity Kills!” took place in Mykolaiv. Over 110 people gathered for the event, including relatives, friends, and acquaintances of captured or missing soldiers. The reminder event lasted an hour.

Odesa oblast
As of 6 am, there was one enemy vessel in the Black Sea capable of carrying Kalibr cruise missiles, with a total salvo capacity of up to four missiles. There was one carrier of Kalibr missiles in the Mediterranean Sea, with a total capacity of up to 16 missiles.
Over the past 24 hours, one ship passed through the Kerch Strait heading to the Sea of Azov in russia’s interests.
Kherson oblast
This morning, around 8 am, russian forces dropped an explosive from a drone on a civilian in Kherson. The victim sustained explosive and head injuries, as well as shrapnel wounds to the back. Later, Kherson RMA reported that two people were injured in Dniprovskyi district of Kherson as a result of a russian drone attack. An 86-year-old man was hospitalized with a mine-explosive injury and shrapnel wounds to his leg. A 53-year-old Kherson woman sought medical help independently, having sustained a mine-explosive injury and shrapnel wounds to her arm.
At night, the enemy dropped guided bombs on one of the villages in Dariivka community. Strikes hit the territory of a previously destroyed school and warehouse buildings, causing a fire that was promptly extinguished by rescue teams.

A civilian was injured due to a drone attack in Beryslav. A 79-year-old man was hospitalized with a leg injury and a concussion. Additionally, a resident of Romashkove, injured in a russian shelling on 20 September, sought medical attention, suffering from mine-explosive trauma and a concussion.
Yesterday, russian forces shelled or carried out airstrikes on Prydniprovske, Antonivka, Sadove, Inhulets, Komyshany, Bilozerka, Tomyna Balka, Kizomys, Veletenske, Stanislav, Beryslav, Novokairy, Dudchany, Kachkarivka, Zmiivka, Vesele, and the city of Kherson. Educational institutions, a social laundry, and a shop were hit, and five apartment buildings, 13 private homes, a gas pipeline, warehouse facilities, and private cars were damaged. Five people were wounded due to russian aggression.
Four wildfires broke out on open lands in Kherson oblast over the past day, covering 11 hectares. Also according to the State Emergency Service, a warehouse in the village of Lymanets caught fire after being hit by a russian shell. All fires were extinguished by firefighters.
The Defense Forces reported that russian forces suffered 118 casualties in the past 24 hours. Ukrainian strikes hit 11 dugouts, an ammunition storage site, a command post, four observation posts, three firing positions, a generator, and three fuel tanks.
The parish of the Holy Martyrs of the Maccabees in Beryslav, along with the Caritas Beryslav UGCC, distributed backpacks filled with school supplies to 403 first-grade students living in difficult conditions near the combat zone.

Zakarpattia oblast
This week, the Owl’s Nest Humanitarian Aid Center provided IDPs registered in Uzhgorod with 22 packages with necessary things for children under 1 year old and 50 bags with grocery sets. During the week, volunteers gave out clothes, shoes, bed linen and dishes (1,457 items) from the PDUM Partnerschaft Deutschland-Ukraine/Moldova e. V., Luftfahrt ohne Grenzen / Wings of Help eV and other benefactors.
Ivano-Frankivsk oblast
The oblast sent searchlights, special tripods and a multi-channel fast charging unit to the 1st Galicia-Volyn Radio Engineering Brigade of the Air Force. At the request of the defenders, the 42th Separate Mechanised Brigades receive laptops, tablets and monitors. The total cost of budget procurement is almost UAH 400,000.
Lviv oblast
Piotr Lukasevich, Charge d’Affaires of the Republic of Poland, in Ukraine arrived for the first time on an official visit to Lviv oblast. In the RMA, they discussed modernising and expanding some checkpoints on the border.
The European Solidarity Center, Lviv RMA and Lviv Regional Council will hold a Ukrainian-Polish exhibition in Lviv Palace of Arts. It will be held under the auspices of the Center for Freedom and Democracy, the Memorandum on the establishment of which the oblast signed in June.
The III-degree For Courage orders (posthumously) were awarded to Vasyl Kryshtal, Ivan Kachor, Ivan Strelkov, Serhii Bemba, Mykola Vanivskyi, Marian Lavriv, Ihor Maksimiv and Vasyl Kuryaev from Sambir region.
Rivne oblast
The rehabilitation of the children of Rivne oblast continues. 7 groups have already been sent to the Artek in Kyiv for a vacation. These are 49 children from the number of IDPs, low-income families, orphans deprived of parental care, families of combatants, war missing persons and war killed. 3 more military children went to the International Children’s Center Artek in Zakarpattia oblast. The wellness campaign continues, this year over 400 children from Rivne oblast visited Artek.
Ternopil oblast
The Army of Reconstruction works in Ternopil oblast. Since the beginning of 2024, local divisions of Ternopil Regional Employment Center have already concluded 278 contracts with 48 organisations, communities and enterprises. 1,518 job referrals were issued to the registered unemployed as part of the Recovery Army.
Khmelnytskyi oblast
At night, during the air alarm signal, the Air Defense Forces destroyed 8 UAVs of the Shahed type. At the same time, a residential building was damaged in Khmelnytskyi as a result of the attack. There are no casualties among the civilian population. Specialists of all emergency services are working at the scene. The size of the damage is established.
Chernivtsi oblast
In 8 months of 2024, 60 demobilised veterans found new jobs. They work in various positions such as woodworking machine operator, security guard, locksmith, driver and tractor driver. 8 veterans have received vocational training and are now working as a wire puller, storekeeper, sales consultant and other specialties. 13 combatants received vouchers for retraining, specifically for the professions of tractor driver, cook, and master of medicine.

Germany intends to approve military aid to Ukraine for almost €400m due to the deterioration of the situation at the front.
Nancy Feser, Head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, stated that to date, Germany has evacuated 1,173 seriously wounded and traumatised Ukrainian soldiers and civilians and provided them with assistance in German hospitals.
Shoko Noda, Director of the Crisis Bureau of the UN Development Program, stated that it may take 100 years to completely demine Ukraine using traditional methods. But innovative technologies will help to significantly speed up this process. According to her, the use of drones and other innovative technologies in humanitarian demining offers promising prospects. Work is also ongoing on the involvement of service dogs in demining. According to Noda, trained dogs can inspect up to 1.500 sq.m. of territory every day. That is, to do it up to 75 times faster than a human.
The EU in the OSCE called the russian attack on a wheat ship in the Black Sea an unprecedented escalation. The EU called on russia to respect freedom of navigation in the Black Sea and to stop threatening global food security and using hunger as a weapon in the OSCE region and beyond.
Ylva Johansson, European Commissioner for Internal Affairs, stated that the EU will not deport men of mobilisation age to Ukraine. This is contrary to the Temporary Protection Directive.
