It has been the 1513  th day of the Ukrainian resistance to the russian military aggression. 

 

What happened in Ukraine today:

Here is operational information of the General Staff as of 4 pm:   

On 17 April, the aggressor attacked the positions of the Defense Forces 41 times.

Artillery shelling of border areas continues. In Sumy oblast, the settlements of Tovstodubove, Bachivsk, Iskryskivshchyna, Volfyne, Ryzhivka, and Kruzhok were affected; in Chernihiv oblast – Bleshnia.

Towards Northern Sloboda and Kursk: The enemy carried out 46 shellings of settlements and Ukrainian troops’ positions, four of which involved multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS).

Towards Southern Sloboda: The adversary launched two assaults on Ukrainian units’ positions near Symynivka and Starytsia.

Towards Kupiansk: The enemy attempted once to improve its tactical position near Podoly.

Towards Lyman and Sloviansk: The enemy conducted no active operations.

Towards Kramatorsk: The enemy attacked the Defense Forces’ positions twice near Minkivka and Nykyforivka.

Towards Kostiantynivka: Invaders carried out eight attacks near Kostiantynivka, Pleshchiivka, Stepanivka, Sofiivka, and Novopavlivka. One engagement is ongoing.

Towards Pokrovsk: Occupiers attempted 17 times to push UKrainian warriors from their positions near Rodynske, Udachne, Novooleksandrivka, Pokrovsk, and Kotlyne. Three combat engagements are still underway.

Oleksandrivka Direction: Ukrainian defenders successfully repelled one enemy attack near Kalynivske. Airstrikes hit the settlements of Pidhavrylivka, Velykomykhailivka, and Pokrovske.

Towards Huliaipole: The Defense Forces repelled six enemy attacks near Zaliznychne, Huliaipole, Staroukrainka, Zarichne, and Tsvitkove. One battle is ongoing. The enemy launched airstrikes near Vozdvyzhivska, Kopani, Vasylivske, Tavriiske, and Rivne.

Towards Orikhiv: Vasynivka and Tavriiske were subjected to airstrikes.

Towards Kherson: The enemy conducted three unsuccessful assault operations toward the Antonivka Bridge and Bilohrudyi Island.

The situation in other sectors of the front has not undergone significant changes. There were no enemy attempts to advance.

Ukrainian troops continue to exhaust the enemy along the entire line of contact and in the rear.

 

Recent war events in the east of Ukraine

Kharkiv oblast

Frontline

As of 22:00, Russian forces had carried out six attacks in the Kharkiv region. On the South Slobozhanskyi axis, they launched three assaults on Ukrainian positions near Prylipka, Symynivka, and Starytsia; one engagement is ongoing. Another three attacks were conducted on the Kupiansk axis, toward Petropavlivka, Podoly, and Kurylivka.

Earlier, as of 16:00, the General Staff reported two Russian attacks near Symynivka and Starytsia, as well as one attempt to improve their tactical position near Podoly.

Over the past 24 hours, 153 combat engagements were recorded along the frontline. On the South Slobozhanskyi axis, Russian forces attempted four times to break through Ukrainian defenses near Starytsia, Vovchansk, and Vovchanski Khutory. On the Kupiansk axis, the occupiers attacked twice toward Novoplatonivka.

Additionally, soldiers of the 57th Brigade restored control over parts of the streets in Vovchansk that had previously been held by Russian forces. According to the military, the situation in the city and in the forest areas to the west has been stabilized after establishing additional blocking lines and creating a layered defense. However, Russian forces continue to infiltrate in small groups.

 

Shelling

On April 16, Russian forces attacked the Zolochiv community with “Molniya”-type drones. In Pysarivka, four strikes were recorded, damaging a cultural center, an outpatient clinic, residential buildings, and private households. Around 10:00, a drone struck Riassne, damaging an apartment building, хозяйственные structures, and power networks. In Karasivka, a private house and outbuildings were destroyed as a result of the strike, causing a fire. No casualties were reported.

Around 16:00, Russian forces carried out an airstrike with a guided aerial bomb (KAB) on the Borova community, with the impact recorded in an ecosystem area between Borova and Horokhovatka. According to preliminary information, there were no casualties.

In the morning, Russian drones attacked Merefa. As a result of the strike, one woman was killed and six people were injured. Among them were four women with injuries of varying severity and two men who suffered acute stress reactions. A local enterprise was damaged.

Russian forces also struck the central part of Kharkiv with a drone. In the Kyivskyi district, a hit was recorded, causing fires in a private house and a three-story building. According to preliminary data, the drone was an “Italmas”-type UAV equipped with a Starlink terminal.

In the morning of April 16, a Russian drone struck the territory of a garden cooperative in the Saltivskyi district of Kharkiv. The explosion caused a fire in an outbuilding and damaged windows in a nearby apartment building. There were no casualties.

Over the past 24 hours, Kharkiv and 14 settlements in the region came under Russian attacks. Four people were injured — in Kharkiv and Merefa. Russian forces targeted the Nemyshlianskyi, Industrialnyi, and Saltivskyi districts of the city with drones.

Across the region, Russian forces used missiles, guided aerial bombs (KAB), “Geran-2” and “Molniya” type drones, FPV drones, and other UAVs. As a result of the strikes, residential buildings, educational institutions, enterprises, warehouses, vehicles, and energy infrastructure were damaged in several districts.

In April alone, Russian forces have attacked Kharkiv more than 60 times, mostly using drones and missiles. Compared to last year, the intensity of strikes in the region has increased by nearly 68%.

Other Updates

The Pechenihy dam remains closed to civilian traffic following a Russian attack, with access restricted to emergency services. Logistics routes in the area have been adjusted.

The transit evacuation center in Lozova received 214 people over the past day. Since the start of its operation, 28,521 people have been registered there.

Over the past week, nearly 57 hectares of land in the Kharkiv region have been cleared of mines, and 1,072 explosive objects have been neutralized.

Families with children in the Velykyi Burluk and Shevchenkove communities of the Kupiansk district have approximately 30 days to evacuate following the expansion of the mandatory evacuation zone.

Donetsk oblast

Frontline

Over the past 24 hours, Russian forces carried out 36 assault attempts on the Pokrovsk axis. Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled attacks near Rodynske, Pokrovsk, Udachne, Hryshyne, Muravka, Novomykolaivka, Molodetske, and Filiia, as well as in the direction of several other settlements. Another 14 combat engagements were recorded on the Kostiantynivka axis.

In the area of temporarily occupied Donetsk, Ukrainian forces established drone control over Russian military logistics. Strikes on equipment were recorded near Donetsk, Zuhres, and Horlivka.

In Chasiv Yar, Ukrainian troops destroyed a Russian ground-based robotic system “Impulse-M,” one of the occupiers’ newer developments.

At approximately 16:45, Russian forces carried out an airstrike on the center of Sloviansk, with a hit recorded in a residential high-rise area. There is currently no information about casualties.

Russian troops are attempting to entrench themselves in the center of Hryshyne and advance north of the village, where small-arms fighting is ongoing. At the same time, Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to hold positions on the northern outskirts of Pokrovsk.

Shelling

In the morning, Russian forces also attacked Krasnotorka with drones. Fires broke out at the impact sites, and residential buildings and outbuildings were damaged.

 

Shelling and Civilian Impact

Russian forces attacked a civilian car near Shchurove in the Lyman area — a woman was injured and evacuated to a hospital.

On April 15, Russian forces carried out 1,436 attacks along the frontline and on residential areas in the Donetsk region. Druzhkivka, Mykolaivka, Sloviansk, Oleksiievo-Druzhkivka, and Seleznivka were under fire. A total of 82 civilian objects were damaged, including 60 residential buildings.

In Sloviansk, Russian forces launched four strikes, including with guided aerial bombs (KABs). Two people were injured, among them a child. Dozens of apartment buildings, administrative buildings, an educational institution, and vehicles were damaged. One of the injured, in serious condition, is planned to be evacuated to a hospital in Dnipro. Due to the shelling, disruptions in electricity and water supply were reported in the city.

In Druzhkivka, three people were injured as a result of KAB and FPV drone strikes, and residential buildings were damaged. In Oleksiievo-Druzhkivka, one person was injured due to an FPV drone attack.

In Mykolaivka, residential buildings and infrastructure were damaged, while in Seleznivka Russian forces struck with two aerial bombs, damaging 13 private homes.

As a result of a Russian airstrike in Sloviansk, a 19th-century architectural landmark — the former “Smirnov House,” which housed a children’s sports school — was also destroyed.

 

 

 

Evacuation and Civilian Situation

In six settlements of the Donetsk region where the forced evacuation of families with children is ongoing, 55 children still remain, according to Acting Head of the Children’s Services, Yuliia Ryzhakova. She noted that, in total, 10,099 children remain in the areas of Donetsk region under Ukrainian government control. More than 3,000 children remain in the Kramatorsk community, over 4,000 in the Sloviansk community, just over 200 in Novodonetske, and more than 700 in the Oleksandrivka community.

In the village of Nekremenna in the Oleksandrivka community, 267 people currently live there, according to village head Kateryna Miliuta. Before the full-scale invasion, the population was around 400. Located about 40 kilometers from the frontline, on the border between Kharkiv and Donetsk regions, the sound of artillery fire can be heard in the village. Some houses have been damaged by Russian shelling. Residents continue to plant gardens, care for livestock, and hope they will not have to leave their homes.

A 69-year-old man, Mykola Matvieienko, who evacuated from the Chernihiv region to the Kirovohrad region, was gifted a new car. He became the subject of a viral video after traveling approximately 700 kilometers in a 43-year-old vehicle together with 18 chickens, a rooster, and a dog while fleeing shelling. His car broke down in Kyiv and had to be towed to a service station. The new vehicle was donated by Oleh Horokhovskyi, along with a full tank of fuel and additional support. The car has already been registered in his name, and he was able to drive it to his new place of residence. Mykola says he has not yet decided what to do with his old car, but calls the new one a “luxury.” He is now settling into his new home, having effectively been the last resident of his frontline village.

Mykolaivka in the Donetsk region has been without electricity for 12 days due to damage to a high-voltage line caused by Russian shelling. Around 5,000 people remain in the community, including eight children, with up to 20 residents evacuating daily. According to the military administration, nearly 99.8% of residential buildings in the town have been damaged. Restoration work is ongoing but complicated by constant attacks. Despite this, some municipal services continue to operate, and humanitarian aid is being delivered. Preparations for the heating season are currently virtually impossible due to the security situation.

Luhansk oblast

Russian fuel train echelons near temporarily occupied Luhansk were destroyed by the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) together with the Unmanned Systems Forces. According to the SBU in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions, the Russian army had accumulated tank wagons with fuel intended to supply its frontline operations.

Separately, the Luhansk Regional Military Administration reported that more than 3,000 children and young people have undergone military training at the Russian “Voin” militarized center in the occupied part of the region. According to Ukrainian officials, the occupation authorities are preparing them for future deployment to the front.

 

What is happening now in the north of Ukraine

Kyiv oblast

According to the regional police, on the night of 15 April, the Russian army launched a combined strike on Kyiv using ballistic missiles and drones. Four people were killed, including a 12-year-old child. Sixty-two people were injured, including four minors aged 5 and 9, and 16 and 17. Damage has been reported in the Podilskyi, Obolonskyi, Shevchenkivskyi and Desnianskyi districts. In total, according to the city prosecutor’s office, 17 high-rise and 10 private houses, a hotel, an office centre, a car showroom, a petrol station and a shopping centre were damaged in the capital.

A non-residential building was hit in the Podilskyi district. As a result of debris falling in various locations: a fire broke out on the ground floor of a residential building; windows were damaged in another high-rise; a three-storey mini-hotel was partially destroyed; and neighbouring buildings were damaged. Debris from the missile struck the sixth floor of a 16-storey residential building. A private house was also partially destroyed; a child and her mother were rescued from the rubble.

In the Obolon district, a warehouse was damaged, leading to a fire that spread to the building’s structures and parked cars, as well as a tyre-fitting shop and a retail outlet. While clearing up the aftermath of the strike, four medics and two police officers were injured due to renewed shelling.

In the Dniprovskyi district, rocket debris was found in an open area.

In the Desnianskyi district, a fire broke out in a two-storey residential building as a result of falling rocket debris.

In the Shevchenkivskyi district, a strike hit a children’s playground and the area near a residential building.

According to the Kyiv City State Administration’s Department of Health, two people have been killed in the Podil district – a 12-year-old boy and a 35-year-old woman. Two more people have been killed in the Obolon district – they were security guards at a car dealership. Twenty-six people were taken to hospitals in Kyiv following the russian shelling. Three police officers, four medics and two foreigners were among the injured.

According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, as of 9.45 am, rescue workers in Kyiv had extinguished all fires caused by russian shelling. Emergency rescue operations to clear rubble and structural debris are ongoing at two locations. Sixty fire engines and specialist vehicles, as well as over 300 personnel, are involved in the operations.

Following a massive combined strike launched by russian forces on Kyiv during the night of 16 April, a DTEK production site was damaged. One employee was injured, the company reported. Several administrative buildings and production workshops were destroyed, and 15 vehicles were damaged. Repair crews are clearing up the aftermath of the attack.

The Regional Military Administration reported that on the night of 16 April, russian troops launched a massive combined strike on Kyiv oblast. There were no fatalities or injuries as a result of the attack. In Bila Tserkva, the company’s production facilities and a private house were damaged; in the Brovary district, four private houses, outbuildings and a car. Work is ongoing at the sites to clear up the aftermath of the shelling.

Zhytomyr oblast

According to the Zhytomyr Regional Bureau of Forensic Medical Examination, on 16 April, forensic pathologists and police officers began autopsies and the identification of the deceased soldiers, whose bodies had been transported to the Zhytomyr region from the Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia areas. These are the bodies of fallen Ukrainian soldiers who were exchanged on 9 April 2026. Before the bodies are taken to the mortuary and placed in a refrigerated unit, bomb disposal experts are at work – they are scanning the body bags and bodies with a metal detector to identify any explosive devices. Toxicology experts are identifying toxic substances that have entered the soldiers’ bodies.

The Zhytomyr Medical Institute reported that the Students staged a charity performance of ‘Mina Mazailo’ and raised over 15,000 hryvnias for the family of the fallen soldier. The fundraising initiative was launched by the students themselves.

Sumy oblast

Olena Sitalo, Head of Vilshanka village, reported that at approximately 2:20pm on 16 April, russian forces struck Vilshanka village in Velyka Cherechchyna starostat by an FPV drone. The drone hit the territory of a private household. A greenhouse, a fence, and a summer kitchen were damaged.

Oleh Hryhorov, Head of the Regional Military Administration, said that on 16 April, the enemy carried out a strike by a UAV on Buryn community. A man and a woman were injured. A 53-year-old man with severe injuries was transported to Sumy for further treatment. A 45-year-old woman was also injured and hospitalised.

On 16 April, russian forces struck a petrol station on the outskirts of Sumy community. As a result of the first strike, a petrol station employee sustained an acute stress reaction. During a subsequent strike, a 26-year-old man was killed and his 54-year-old father was injured.

The Regional Military Administration informed that a russian UAV also attacked a civilian vehicle in Mykolaivka rural community. The driver was injured and hospitalised with severe injuries.

According to the City Military Administration, at approximately 9pm on 15 April, russian forces struck a parking area in Zarichnyi district of Sumy by Heran-2 UAV. A passenger minibus caught fire. At around 4pm, a fire also broke out in Sumy following a UAV strike. Additionally, an FPV drone struck a civilian vehicle in Stetskivskyi starostat of Sumy community, damaging a nearby residential building.

On the evening of 15 April, a russian UAV strike in Sumy damaged a private medical centre. Windows were shattered and the facade was damaged.

The Regional Military Administration stated that as a result of russian shelling across Sumy oblast over the past day, 15 April, no civilian casualties were reported.

Over the past day, from the morning of 15 April to the morning of 16 April, russian forces carried out more than 40 attacks on 19 settlements across 10 territorial communities of the oblast. The highest number of attacks was recorded in Sumy and Shostka regions. The enemy used mortars, artillery, FPV drones, UAVs, and guided aerial bombs. Air raid alerts in the oblast lasted for 19 hours and 35 minutes over the day.

Civilian infrastructure facilities were damaged and destroyed:

  • in Esman community, private residential houses and outbuildings were destroyed;
  • in Hlukhiv community, a multi-apartment residential building was damaged;
  • in Seredyna-Buda community, a residential house, a civilian infrastructure facility, and a vehicle were damaged;
  • in Shalyhyne community, a private residential house was destroyed;
  • in Znob-Novhorodske community, a civilian infrastructure facility was damaged;
  • in Shostka community, an administrative building was damaged;
  • in Sumy community, private houses, a medical facility, an administrative building, civilian infrastructure facilities, non-residential premises, and vehicles were damaged;
  • in Bilopillia community, a civilian infrastructure facility was damaged;
  • in Velyka Pysarivka community, a private residential house and a civilian infrastructure facility were damaged.

Over the past day, 61 people were evacuated from border communities by local authorities in cooperation with units of the State Emergency Service, the National Police, and public organisations.

The Regional Military Administration reported that in Sumy oblast, an experimental project to supply the population with liquefied gas is ongoing. Implementation is carried out in cooperation with Ukrgasvydobuvannya, the Ukrainian Red Cross Society, and BVS Retail. To date, 1,950 gas cylinders have been distributed to residents. In Okhtyrka district, 1,200 people received assistance, and in Sumy region, 750 people were supported.

 

Chernihiv oblast

Viacheslav Chaus, Head of the Regional Military Administration, reported that during a large-scale russian attack on Ukraine over the course of 15 April, some strike UAVs entered via the territory of Chernihiv oblast. The Defence Forces destroyed more than 85% of the drones in the oblast.

Oleksandr Seliverstov, Head of Novhorod-Siverskyi Regional Military Administration, said that during the night of 16 April, russian forces attacked a household in Chaikyne village by FPV drones. A fire was recorded at the site.

On 15 April, russian forces struck an energy facility in Nizhyn region. According to JSC “Chernihivoblenergo”, the facility was damaged, leaving more than 5,000 subscribers in the region without electricity. Emergency repair work will begin as soon as the security situation allows.

The National Police informed that as a result of russian attacks on 15 and 16 April, two people were injured in Chernihiv oblast. In Semenivka, a woman was injured following a strike on a hospital, while in Horodnia community a 41-year-old man was injured after a drone struck a vehicle.

In Ivanivka community of Chernihiv region, private houses and a vehicle belonging to local residents were also damaged.

According to Chernihiv Border Guard Detachment, over the course of 15 April, russian forces attacked four border communities of Chernihiv oblast: Novhorod-Siverskyi, Semenivka, Horodnia, and Snovsk. The enemy conducted UAV strikes of the Molniya type (3 explosions), carried out FPV drone strikes (10 explosions), and dropped explosive devices from UAVs (11 explosions). Eight settlements came under enemy fire.

 

Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine

Dnipropetrovsk oblast

Mykola Lukashuk, Head of Dnipropetrovsk RMA, reported that as a result of a night attack in Dnipropetrovsk oblast, 5 people were killed and two 28-year-old men are in serious condition. In Nikopol, a 66-year-old man was injured. A 47-year-old man from Pokrovske community sought medical assistance. From evening until morning, the enemy attacked the regional centre, Pokrovske rural, Myrove and Chervonohryhorivka communities by drones and artillery. Fires broke out. A multi-apartment building, a private house, a non-operational building and vehicles were damaged. According to updated information, 30 people were injured in Dnipro. Also, a 14-year-old girl was injured in a UAV attack in Novooleksandrivka community. An extension to a house was destroyed and a private home was damaged.

 

17 high-rise buildings, a private house, 12 educational institutions, a kindergarten, administrative buildings, an outbuilding, a museum, a hospital, 18 garages, a shop, 2 bank branches, 25 vehicles, 2 shopping centres, a residential facility for the elderly and a power line were damaged. The occupiers attacked the oblast by drones and artillery, targeting Nikopol, Pokrovske rural, Chervonohryhorivka, Marhanets and Myrove communities. 

A private house and enterprises were damaged, and there was damage in a modular town for internally displaced persons, affecting vehicles and infrastructure. As a result of a UAV attack in the Pishchanska community, fires broke out. A garage and a car burned on the territory of a private household. 2 private houses, vehicles and a power line were damaged. A 67-year-old man was injured. Pokrovske community was struck by KABs. Cars burned, a house and a garage were destroyed and 3 outbuildings were damaged. Petropavlivka community was attacked by UAVs. An outbuilding was destroyed and a house was damaged. Zelenodolsk community was attacked by FPV drones. A private house and a truck were damaged.

Vinnytsia oblast

After more than 2 years in russian captivity, 38-year-old defender Vasyl Kramar returned to Vinnytsia. Today he was welcomed by relatives, friends, neighbors and residents – with flowers, flags and bread.

 

In Kalynivka, Vinnytsia oblast, a meeting was held for families of prisoners of war, veterans and those released from captivity. Participants discussed how to cope with waiting, how to properly support relatives after their return and how to avoid common mistakes.

Kirovohrad oblast

In Kropyvnytskyi, residents welcomed serviceman Yevhenii Kodenets, who was released from russian captivity on 5 March. He had spent 1 year and seven months in captivity.

Poltava oblast

According to Poltava Regional Military Administration, in Kremenchuk region, falling debris damaged the roof of a residential building. In Poltava oblast, debris damaged the roof and windows of a two-storey residential building.

Cherkasy oblast

Ihor Taburets, Head of Cherkasy RMA, stated that air defence forces destroyed 4 russian missiles and 30 UAVs over Cherkasy oblast. Due to falling debris and the blast wave, there are consequences for industrial infrastructure.

Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine

Zaporizhzhia oblast

Ivan Fedorov, Head of Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, reported that a 49-year-old man was killed and 8 civilians were injured as a result of a repeated attack by 3 KABs on Zaporizhzhia. 6 women and 2 men are currently under medical supervision. A shop and other facilities were damaged.

In Preobrazhenka, a russian FPV drone injured a 44-year-old man. In Bilenke, a 50-year-old woman was killed by a drone strike.

 

At around 11:30am, the russian military attacked Zaporizhzhia. A two-year-old boy was injured. A public transport stop and a nearby building were damaged. 8 high-rise buildings were damaged.

 

A 45-year-old man was injured as a result of a russian attack on Zaporizhzhia oblast. A private house was destroyed.

 

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, on 15 April, Ukrainian Defence Forces repelled 12 russian attacks in Huliaipole region. Fighting took place near Huliaipole, Zaliznychne, Pryluky and in the directions of Dobropillia, Olenokostiantynivka, Huliaipilske, Staroukrainka, Hirske and Tsvitkove.

 

Ivan Fedorov, Head of the RMA, stated that 1 person was killed as a result of a russian attack on the regional centre. On 15 April, russian forces carried out 711 strikes on 35 settlements in Zaporizhzhia oblast.

Mykolaiv oblast

Based on the information provided by the Regional Military Administration, in the evening, Mykolaiv was attacked by drones. There were no casualties reported.

 

In Novyi Buh on 15 April, a family was injured: a 36-year-old man, a 35-year-old woman and their 8-year-old son, who suffered an acute stress reaction. 6 private houses were damaged. As of the morning of 16 April, their condition is satisfactory.

 

As a result of falling debris in Pervomaisk region on 15 April, a private house, a garage and a power line were damaged. 3 settlements were left without electricity, but power has since been restored.

 

Yesterday, Kutsurub community was shelled by artillery and attacked by FPV drones. In Dmytrivka, houses, an outbuilding and a garage were damaged.

 

In Halytsynove community, russian forces attacked an industrial facility by a Molniia UAV.

Odesa oblast

Referring to Odesa City Military Administration, 9 people were killed and 26 injured as a result of overnight attacks on Odesa by drones and ballistic missiles. Port, critical and residential infrastructure were damaged. In Khadzhibey district of Odesa, infrastructure facilities and a residential building were damaged, and more than 300 windows were shattered in several buildings by the blast wave. Damage was recorded in one of the parks in Prymorskyi region. The blast wave damaged windows of buildings in the district.

The RMA reported that as a result of a morning russian attack, a UAV hit a civilian cargo vessel under the flag of Nauru. One of the containers caught fire on board – the crew extinguished the fire and the vessel continued its journey. There is no information about casualties.

Kherson oblast

According to Kherson Regional Military Administration, at around 3:50pm, russian forces attacked utility workers by a drone in Novoraisk. 2 men, both aged 40, sustained concussions, blast injuries and closed head injuries.

 

At around 11:20am, russian forces struck Korabelnyi district of Kherson. Women aged 71 and 45 sustained concussions, blast injuries and closed head injuries. At the time of the attack, they were inside a house.

 

At around 11am, russian forces attacked a public transport stop in Kherson by a drone. A 57-year-old woman sustained a blast injury, concussion and arm contusion.

 

At around 9:45am, russian forces attacked a civilian car in Korabelnyi district of Kherson by a UAV. A 53-year-old man and a 52-year-old woman sustained blast injuries and concussions. The man suffered shrapnel wounds to the back.

 

At around 9am, russian forces attacked another civilian car in Dniprovskyi district of Kherson. A 73-year-old man sustained a mine-blast injury and shrapnel wounds to the torso, while a 71-year-old woman sustained a mine-blast injury and shrapnel wounds to the torso, head and limbs.

Volyn oblast

In the village of Horodyshche, an Alley of Memory was opened to commemorate fallen compatriots, defenders of Ukraine. The stands feature portraits of 60 fallen heroes, residents of Horodyshche community.

Zakarpattia oblast

Another UAH 2,25m from the Uzhhorod budget will be allocated to relatives of the fallen Defenders of Ukraine, as well as to the military for special services to the Motherland. The decision was supported at the regular session of the city council.

Ivano-Frankivsk oblast

Prykarpattia continues to receive people from frontline oblasts. 14 residents of Donetsk oblast have arrived. People were accommodated free of charge in temporary accommodation facilities of Rohatyn and Bilshivtsi communities. They were provided with proper living conditions, as well as social support – assistance with registration of IDP status, access to medical, psychological and humanitarian services.

Lviv oblast

A special visual project from the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine was opened at the Zenyk Art Gallery. It is dedicated to those who hold the border line every day and, side by side with other units of the Defense Forces, repel russian aggression.

Rivne oblast

4 more Ukrainian soldiers were laid to rest at the National War Memorial Cemetery. The ceremony was held with full military honors.

Ternopil oblast

12-year-old Ivan Strykhalsky was presented with a commemorative watch. His father was killed a year ago – on 11 April, 2025 in Sumy oblast. Volodymyr Strykhalskyi served in the 44th Separate Artillery Brigade since 2014. He received the Bakhmutskyi Rubizh medal.

Khmelnytskyi oblast

Khmelnytskyi community has handed over a multifunctional ground robotic complex worth UAH980,000 to the military. The complex has a range of 30 km, a load capacity of up to 300 kg, increased cross-country ability and additional batteries.

Chernivtsi oblast

Chernivtsi community has taken Artur Tomashevsky, junior lieutenant of the Military Unit A4447, to his final earthly journey. The soldier was killed in February 2024 while performing a combat mission in Donetsk oblast.
