At this time, the enemy has attacked the positions of the Defense Forces 99 times.
Border areas of our country have suffered from Russian artillery shelling, particularly the settlements of Studenok, Chuikivka, and Stara Huta in Sumy region. The enemy also carried out an airstrike on the city of Sumy.
In the Northern-Slobozhanskyi and Kursk directions, enemy aviation conducted six airstrikes, dropping a total of 12 guided aerial bombs. The enemy also carried out 121 shelling attacks, including five using multiple launch rocket systems.
In the Southern-Slobozhanskyi direction, Ukrainian forces repelled eight enemy assaults near Vovchansk, Vovchanski Khutory, Kamyanka, Kutkivka, and toward Okhrimivka, Odradne, and Bologivka. Two more battles are still ongoing.
Since the beginning of the day, the enemy has attacked once in the Kupiansk direction, near the settlement of Stepova Novoselivka.
In the Lyman direction, Ukrainian units repelled six attacks in the areas of Hrekivka, Kolodiazi, Novoselivka, and Derylove. Two more attacks are still ongoing.
In the Sloviansk direction, Ukrainian soldiers repelled five enemy attacks — the occupying forces are trying to advance near Serebrianka, Yampil, Dronivka, Vyimka, and Fedorivka. Two battles continue.
In the Kramatorsk direction, there was one combat engagement with enemy forces attempting to advance toward Predtechyne.
In the Kostiantynivka direction, Russian occupiers launched 19 assaults on the positions of our defenders near Pleshchiivka, Shcherbynivka, Kleban-Byk, Oleksandro-Kalynove, and Rusyn-Yar. Ukrainian units repelled 15 attacks, while three combat engagements are ongoing.
In the Pokrovsk direction, since the beginning of the day, the occupiers have carried out 31 attacks on the positions of our defenders near Volodymyrivka, Nykanorivka, Myroliubivka, Novoekonomichne, Promin, Lysivka, Pokrovsk, Zvirove, Chunyshyne, Udachne, Kotliarivka, Orikhove, and Filiia. While holding back the enemy’s pressure, Ukrainian defenders have already repelled 26 attacks.
In the Oleksandrivka direction, the invaders attempted 17 assaults on Ukrainian positions near Zelenyi Hai, Ivanivka, Oleksandrohrad, Sichneve, Sosnivka, Oleksiivka, Novomykolayivka, Novohrhorivka, Malynivka, and Poltavka. Five battles are still ongoing.
No combat engagements were recorded in the Huliaipole direction.
In the Orikhiv direction, the enemy attempted four assaults near Kamianske, Plavni, and Stepove.
In the Prydniprovske direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled three enemy attacks. Enemy aircraft dropped bombs on Novovorontsovka, Apostolove, and Radushne.
A mandatory evacuation has been announced for 40 settlements in Kharkiv region. Due to the worsening situation in the Kupiansk direction, the territory of mandatory evacuation for families with children has been expanded. It now covers 40 settlements in the region. The decision to carry out forced evacuation was made at a meeting of the Regional Defense Council, according to Oleh Syniehubov, Head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration.

Kharkiv oblast
Frontline
During the past day, 182 combat engagements were recorded.
In the Southern-Slobozhanskyi direction, there were 16 combat clashes near Vovchansk, Kamyanka, Zapadne, and Kutkivka, as well as in the directions of Kolodiazne and Bologivka.
In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy launched nine assaults over the past day. The Defense Forces repelled enemy attacks near Pishchane and Kupiansk, and in the directions of Petropavlivka and Novoplatonivka.
Shelling
Over the past day, five settlements in Kharkiv region came under enemy fire. Two civilians were injured as a result of the attacks.
In the village of Nechvolodivka (Kindrashivka community), a 54-year-old man and a 52-year-old woman were wounded.
The enemy actively used various types of weapons against Kharkiv region, including:
▪️ 11 Geran-2 attack UAVs;
▪️ 1 Lancet loitering munition;
▪️ 2 FPV drones.
Civilian infrastructure was damaged and destroyed:
▪️ In the Kupiansk district, a car (Nechvolodivka) and a private house (Shevchenkove settlement) were damaged;
▪️ In the Izium district, a civilian enterprise and a warehouse building (Izium city) were damaged.
Evacuation
The transit evacuation point in Lozova received 179 people during the past day.
36 people remain at the site. Since the beginning of its operation, a total of 7,540 people have been registered there.
From the Velykyi Burluk community, as part of the expanded evacuation zone for families with children, 426 minors are planned to be evacuated, said Viktor Tereshchenko, Head of the Civil-Military Administration.
Donetsk oblast
Frontline
The Defense Forces repelled 11 attacks near Lyman over the past day. Russian troops attempted to advance near Serednie, Shandryholove, Kolodiazi, Torske, and in the direction of Drobysheve, according to the morning report of the General Staff.
The heaviest fighting — 69 clashes — took place in the Pokrovsk sector of the front.
Shelling
The Defense Forces struck a Russian ammunition depot near the temporarily occupied Makiivka in Donetsk region, the General Staff reported.
Russian forces dropped a FAB-250 aerial bomb with a correction module on a residential apartment building in Kostiantynivka. The strike damaged five buildings; no casualties or injuries were reported, according to the Military Administration.
In the morning, Russian troops carried out an airstrike on Dobropillia, damaging a fire and rescue station building, according to the Donetsk region State Emergency Service. Windows were shattered, and doors and ceilings were damaged, but rescuers and equipment remained unharmed.
Overnight, the Russian army attacked Druzhkivka, Lyman, and Ocheretyne, the Donetsk region police reported. The occupiers damaged private houses and infrastructure.
On October 14, police recorded 1,920 enemy strikes along the frontline and in residential areas.
Eleven settlements came under fire: the cities of Dobropillia, Druzhkivka, Kostiantynivka, Kramatorsk, Lyman, Sviatohirsk, Sloviansk; the settlements of Raihorodok, Raiske; and the villages of Bohorodychne and Stepanivka.
A total of 51 civilian objects were damaged, including 39 residential buildings.
In Dobropillia, Russians struck with a KAB-250 bomb and Smerch MLRS, killing one civilian and damaging one apartment building and eight private houses.
In Raiske, one person was killed and another injured after an FPV drone strike.
In Kostiantynivka, the enemy attacked civilians with FPV drones and artillery, injuring three people and damaging a private house and a civilian car.
In Kramatorsk, occupiers shelled the city with drones, including V2U models, damaging 12 private houses. In Stepanivka, five Geran-2 drones struck a business facility, two non-residential buildings, a workshop, and a utility structure.
In Sloviansk, shelling damaged an administrative building and an educational institution; in Druzhkivka, a private house and a former cinema were hit. Russian forces dropped two KAB-250 bombs on Raihorodok, damaging eight private houses.
In Sviatohirsk, an FPV drone hit a private residence. In Lyman, a strike with a UMPB D-30 SN bomb damaged a garage.
Additionally, after midnight, Druzhkivka, Lyman, and Ocheretyne again came under Russian fire. Residential buildings and infrastructure were damaged. No casualties have been reported so far.
Luhansk oblast
Over the past day, Russian forces conducted 17 assaults in the Lyman and Sloviansk directions, targeting areas near eleven settlements. Our defenders continue to repel enemy attempts to advance. In their attacks on villages and Ukrainian fortifications near the front line, the invaders mostly used artillery systems and unmanned aerial vehicles, according to the Regional Military Administration.
Water Supply Crisis in Occupied Luhansk (“LNR”)
Weekly, new water supply problems arise in the so-called “LNR,” especially in areas occupied 11 years ago, where Russia has done nothing to maintain infrastructure. Currently, an emergency has affected water pipelines serving 24 settlements, including eight cities.
- Drinking water is unavailable to 200,000 residents.
- 16 villages and settlements and five cities are completely cut off from water.
- More than half of the residents of Bryanka, Kadiivka, and Alchevsk have no water in their taps.
Healthcare Shortages in Severodonetsk
Over the past year, the number of Russian doctors in Severodonetsk has decreased, as occupiers stopped paying for their work. To address the shortage of specialists in local healthcare facilities on occupied territory, authorities try to manage using doctors from Luhansk, including a urologist, neurologist, ENT, and surgeon. Currently, these doctors are available for one day only, for four and a half hours. A Russian passport is required to attend an appointment.
Propaganda Activities in Occupied Luhansk
Fifteen schoolchildren in temporarily occupied Luhansk region were issued Russian passports. This symbolic action was carried out by the Russian-installed authorities during a presentation of the “achievements” of Putin’s propaganda project “Movement of the First”, the National Resistance Center reported.
Over the past year, Russian authorities have conducted more than 70,000 “educational” events for schoolchildren in occupied Luhansk.
What is happening now in the north of Ukraine
Kyiv oblast
On 15 October, emergency power cuts were introduced in Kyiv and oblast due to the challenging situation in the power system. The lights will be turned off without warning without any schedules in effect. The measures were introduced by order of NEC Ukrenergo.
On the evening of 14 October, on the right bank of the capital, due to an emergency situation in the city’s power system, the pressure in the water supply system had to be reduced to a minimum. After the power engineers repaired the damage, the utility workers quickly restored the water supply to consumers.
According to the RMA, in Irpin, veterans engage in sports free of charge, recover from injuries, and return to life at the Brama fitness club. Professional trainers and sports rehabilitation specialists work with the veterans there. Today, Brama presented the trailer for the documentary film Second Breath. Its heroes are Ukrainian soldiers who, after serious injuries, conquered one of the highest peaks in Africa – Kilimanjaro.
A delegation from the Belgian capital, led by Brussels Mayor Philippe Close, arrived in Kyiv. The guests of the capital honoured the memory of the fallen defenders of Ukraine by laying flowers at the Memorial to the Fallen Defenders of Kyiv. According to Kyiv Mayor Vitalii Klychko, Brussels will transfer four ambulances to Kyiv. The city also received 3,000 non-military bulletproof vests to protect medical personnel, emergency workers and utility workers during the aftermath of attacks.
Ukrinform correspondent Olga Zvonaryova, seriously injured last April and underwent lengthy rehabilitation, completed the 10-kilometre Heroes of the Nation distance at the 15th Kyiv Marathon of Indestructibility 2025. The journalist said that she was motivated not only by her recovery from injury, but also by her desire to set an example for others.
A regional archery tournament for veterans and people with disabilities, ‘Circle of the Unbreakable,’ was held in Bohuslav. The tournament was attended by 40 veterans and people with disabilities from the Kyiv, Kharkiv, Poltava, Cherkasy and Lviv regions, as well as guests from the United Kingdom. The event was attended by professional archers and amateurs, wounded military personnel, adults and children.
Zhytomyr oblast
Oleksiy Sheketa, chairman of the board of JSC Zhytomyroblenergo, announced that on 15 October, power cuts began in Zhytomyr and oblast. Emergency power cuts are being implemented for consumers in stages 1 and 2.
According to the volunteer centre ‘Unconquered Ukrainian Women,’ which has been operating since the start of the full-scale russian invasion of Ukraine, 25 women work every day without days off to weave camouflage nets for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In three and a half years, they have woven more than two and a half thousand camouflage nets.
Sumy oblast
On 15 October, the enemy carried out a combined strike on Sumy community, damaging a private household. No casualties were reported. Power supply disruptions were recorded in the city and Sumy region, with backup sources being used.
Oleh Hryhorov, Head of the Regional Military Administration, reported that on the same day, the enemy targeted a civilian car by a drone in Putyvl community. A 63-year-old woman and two men aged 32 and 49 were injured and hospitalised. Medical staff are providing the necessary care.
According to the Regional Military Administration, on 14 October, a 31-year-old man was injured in a russian drone strike on Myropillia community. In Seredyna-Buda, two people were injured in another drone attack. Sumy Regional Prosecutor’s Office informed that two more people were wounded in Shostka region following a drone strike.
Sumyoblenergo reported that on the morning of 15 October, emergency power outage schedules were introduced in Sumy oblast. According to the Regional Military Administration, energy workers continue continuous efforts to stabilise electricity supply in Shostka town.
Between the morning of 14 October and the morning of 15 October, russian forces launched more than 40 attacks on 23 settlements across 12 territorial communities in the oblast. The highest number of strikes occurred in Sumy and Shostka regions. The enemy actively used guided aerial bombs (nearly 20 strikes) and carried out attacks by FPV and other unmanned aerial vehicles. Over the past 24 hours, the air-raid alert in the region lasted for 14 hours and 3 minutes.
Consequences of russian attacks as of the morning of 15 October:
- In Krasnopillia community, residential buildings were damaged.
- In Seredyna-Buda community, residential buildings were damaged.
- In Bilopillia community, a truck was damaged.
- In Mykolaivka rural community, private houses and a car were damaged.
The Regional Military Administration informed that a 47-year-old man who was injured in a russian drone strike on a household in Seredyna-Buda community on 14 October has died in hospital. He had suffered severe injuries, and doctors were unable to save him.
During the day, local authorities, together with units of the State Emergency Service, the National Police, and public organisations from border communities, evacuated five people.
Sumy oblast has received 12 diesel generators to strengthen the energy resilience of critical infrastructure. The assistance was provided with the support of the Partnership Fund for a Resilient Ukraine. The equipment will be used to ensure the uninterrupted operation of critical infrastructure facilities.
Deputy Prime Minister for Ukraine’s Reconstruction and Minister for Communities and Territories Development Oleksii Kuleba said that a total of 1,600 families from Sumy oblast have received housing certificates worth UAH 2.4 b. to purchase new homes to replace those destroyed. In addition, 6,500 families in the oblast have received compensation for damaged housing amounting to over UAH 450 m.
Chernihiv oblast
Oleksandr Seliverstov, Head of Novhorod-Siverskyi Regional Military Administration, reported that during the night of 15 October, the russian army struck a residential building in Semenivka town by a drone.
Viacheslav Chaus, Head of the Regional Military Administration, said that overnight, russian strike drones also targeted petrol stations in Chernihiv and a nearby community. In Semenivka, a UAV hit a residential building. Thanks to the prompt actions of rescuers, the fires that broke out after the strikes were quickly extinguished.
Units of the State Emergency Service have completed extinguishing a fire at a civilian infrastructure facility in Nizhyn region. Restoration work on the oblast’s power grid continues, and hourly power outage schedules remain in effect.
Chernihiv Border Detachment informed that throughout 14 October, russian forces attacked three border communities in Chernihiv oblast: Novhorod-Siverska, Semenivska, and Snovska. A total of 32 strikes were recorded. The enemy used artillery, FPV drones, and dropped explosive devices from unmanned aerial vehicles. Eight settlements came under enemy fire.
On 14 October, Chernihiv residents paid tribute to 47-year-old energy worker Anatolii Savchenko, who was killed during a russian drone attack on the border area of Chernihiv oblast. On 10 October, at around 10:30pm, a team from Chernihivoblenergo was returning from emergency repair work in the village of Zhadove in Semenivska community. According to company spokesperson Kateryna Drozdova, russian forces carried out a double strike, deliberately targeting people rather than equipment.
According to the Regional Police in Chernihiv oblast, police explosives experts neutralised unexploded warheads from russian strike drones shot down by Ukraine’s Defence Forces in the area. The warheads that failed to detonate were destroyed through controlled demolition.
By early October, despite shelling and difficult conditions, Chernihiv oblast farmers had harvested over two million tonnes of grain and leguminous crops. Agricultural producers are continuing to harvest late crops and sow winter crops for the 2026 harvest, with more than 240,000 hectares already sown.
Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine
Dnipropetrovsk oblast
Explosions were reported in Kamianske, Pavlohrad, and Slavhorod community of Synelnykove region. Drone attacks damaged infrastructure, as well as transport and industrial facilities. A 19-year-old man was injured. Synelnykove region’s Mezhivska community was also targeted, where a private house was damaged. According to updated information, infrastructure in Pokrovsk community was damaged in the previous day’s attacks.
In the evening and into the morning, the enemy continued strikes on Nikopol area, targeting the regional centre and Pokrovsk community by drones, while Marhanets was shelled by multiple launch rocket systems.
Throughout the day, the enemy did not cease attacks on Nikopol area, carrying out around 35 strikes. Drones and artillery targeted the regional centre, as well as Marhanets, Pokrovsk, and Myrove communities. Fires broke out, damaging seven private houses, two outbuildings, two apartment blocks, one enterprise, and one unused building. Synelnykove region also came under attack — a drone strike on Shakhtarske damaged an apartment building and a car. Pavlohrad was hit as well, with infrastructure sustaining damage.
Vinnytsia oblast
The deaths of nine defenders from Vinnytsia oblast have been reported: Volodymyr Hudyma, Maksym Mosenza, Yurii Fertiuk, Mykola Sirko, Ruslan Movchan, Oleksandr Kryvyi, Denys Pavlenko, Serhii Melnyk, and Mykola Pashevskyi.
Kirovohrad oblast
Svitlovodsk, Petrivka, Novomyrhorod, and Oleksandrivka communities paid tribute to fallen soldiers Leonid Harkavenko, Vitalii Pushka, Mykola Kramarenko, and Oleksandr Kochetov.
Leonid Harkavenko was killed on 30 September near Hlushkivka village in Kupiansk region of Kharkiv oblast.
Vitalii Pushka died on 6 October 2025 while carrying out a combat mission near Serebrianka village in Donetsk oblast.
Mykola Kramarenko was killed on 8 October near Sofiivka in Kramatorsk region of Donetsk oblast.
Oleksandr Kochetov went missing on 28 August 2024 during a combat mission near Mala Loknia village in Sudzha region of Kursk oblast, russia. His body was identified through DNA analysis, with confirmation received on 7 October 2025. It was established that Oleksandr was killed on 28 August 2024 as a result of the detonation of an unguided aerial projectile.
Oleksandrivka, Dobrovelychkivka, Petrivka, and Svitlovodsk communities also paid tribute to soldiers Oleh Hupalo, Vladyslav Donii, Volodymyr Vovk, and Serhii Kutsyba.
Oleh Hupalo was killed on 10 October in Kinetspil village in Mykolaiv oblast.
Vladyslav Donii was killed on 12 October 2025 in a russian drone strike near Hryshyne village in Pokrovsk region of the Donetsk oblast.
Volodymyr Vovk died on 10 October in Prymorske village in Vasylkiv region of Zaporizhzhia oblast while building fortifications.
Serhii Kutsyba had been listed as missing since 4 August 2024. His death was later confirmed through an identification procedure.
Poltava oblast
Communities in Poltava oblast reported the deaths of three servicemen. Private Maksym Narizhnyi was killed on 8 October 2025 while carrying out a combat mission in Donetsk oblast.
Sergeant Roman Didenko died on 3 October 2025 as a result of mine-explosive injuries.
Artur Ivakhno had been listed as missing since July 2025 following battles near Serebrianka village in Bakhmut region. DNA analysis confirmed that he was killed on 2 July 2025.
Cherkasy oblast
Cherkasy paid tribute to Ukrainian defender Sergeant Serhii Romanenko, who was killed in Dnipropetrovsk oblast on 5 October 2025.

Zaporizhzhia oblast
Today, 15 October, russian forces shelled the village of Huliaipilske in Zaporizhzhia oblast. A man was injured.
Yesterday, 14 October, the occupiers carried out 649 attacks on 16 settlements in Zaporizhzhia oblast. russian forces launched 9 airstrikes on Orikhiv, Bilohiria, Novoandriivka, Malynivka, and Poltavka. 423 UAVs of various types (mostly FPV) attacked Ternuvate, Ternivka, Tavriiske, Plavni, Stepove, Huliaipole, Orikhiv, Shcherbaky, Novodanylivka, Mala Tokmachka, Novoandriivka, Charivne, Bilohiria, Malynivka, and Poltavka. Four MLRS attacks targeted Natalivka, Novoandriivka, Mala Tokmachka, and Malynivka. There were 213 artillery strikes on Plavni, Stepove, Huliaipole, Shcherbaky, Novodanylivka, Mala Tokmachka, Novoandriivka, Charivne, Bilohiria, Malynivka, and Poltavka. Twenty-six reports were received regarding damage to homes, vehicles, and infrastructure. One person was injured as a result of an enemy attack on Zaporizhzhia region.
As of 22:00 on 15 October, the enemy launched five assaults in near Kamianske, Plavni, and Stepove towards Orikhiv. Over the past day, 14 October, the Defense Forces of Ukraine repelled five russian attacks towards Orikhiv.
The russian occupation court in the temporarily occupied territory of Zaporizhzhia region, sentenced Enerhodar resident Ruslan Lavryk to 16 years in prison. He had worked as a radio and television engineer at the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant. The russians accused him of allegedly transferring funds to the Armed Forces of Ukraine and providing Ukrainian special services with information about the location of russian troops. After a long period of captivity and torture, the resident of Enerhodar now has heart problems and requires hospitalization.
Mykolaiv oblast
Yesterday, the enemy carried out nine FPV drone attacks on Ochakiv and Kutsurub communities. It also launched one artillery strike on Kutsurub community. There were no casualties.
Two shelters were opened in the lyceums of Bashtanka region. The work was carried out as part of the “Housing and Social Infrastructure Restoration” project, implemented by UNOPS with funding from the Government of the Kingdom of Denmark.
Odesa oblast
As reported by the press service of the State Environmental Inspectorate of the Southwestern District, environmental damages resulting from the russian attack on a brandy production enterprise in Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi region amount to 300 thousand hryvnias. Around one hundred tons of harmful substances, including 95 tons of carbon dioxide, were released into the atmosphere.
Four new modular shelters were installed at the Odesa port. All needs of the Odesa port for mobile protective structures for personnel were met. Employees can access safe locations throughout the port area, even in remote production zones.
Fallen serviceman from Odesa oblast Oleksandr Doksov, was awarded the Order “For Courage” Third Class. The state award was presented to his family.
Kherson oblast
Today, 15 October, at around 10:00 am, russian forces carried out a drone strike on Zolota Balka in Nova Oleksandrivka community. A 75-year-old man sustained a blast injury, wounds to his face, abdomen, and leg, and a fractured shin bone.
At 7:00 am, russian forces attacked a man in Kherson with a drone. The 36-year-old resident suffered a concussion, a leg injury, and blast and closed head trauma.
Yesterday, 14 October, three people were killed and 15 were injured in Kherson oblast due to russian attacks, including a one-and-a-half-month-old girl, utility workers, and postal employees. The occupiers shelled the right bank of the region with various weapons – artillery, aviation, and different types of UAVs. Kherson, Prydniprovske, Kizomys, Bilozerka, Dniprovke, Rozlyv, Antonivka, Sadove, Shyroka Balka, Inzhenerne, Sofiivka, Novodmytrivka, Romashkove, Mykilske, Beryslav, Zaporizhzhia, Novovorontsovka, Tiahynka, Olhivka, Mykolaivka, Odradokamianka, Kozatske, and Vesele were attacked. russian strikes caused damage to five apartment buildings and 12 private houses, a critical infrastructure facility, a gas station, two trucks of a humanitarian mission, a civilian vehicle, and a postal service vehicle, as well as a tractor.

Holiday concerts were also held in Hlynyan community. In Hlynyany, over UAH 10,000 were raised to the military, and in the village of Kurovychi, participants of the holiday concert raised over UAH 30,000 to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The President of Ukraine awarded Yaroslav Telenko, soldier of the Separate Assault Battalion AREY, from Lviv oblast with the III degree For Courage Order.
Rivne oblast
21 healthcare institutions in Rivne oblast are ready to join a pilot project to support IDPs. This is a project on long-term nursing care for internally displaced persons. It is being implemented by the National Health Service of Ukraine together with the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Social Policy.
Ternopil oblast
Ternopil City Council held a meeting with families of the fallen servicemen. 21 state awards were presented (posthumously): For Courage, Military Cross, Cross orders and the For Conscientious Service commander’s award.
Khmelnytskyi oblast
In Khmelnytskyi, the Honorary Citizen title was awarded to 75 soldiers (posthumously). The awards were presented to their families. The title also includes a payment of 20 minimum wages.
Chernivtsi oblast
The RMA reported that Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine awarded the Combatant’s Cross to soldier Yevhen Liannyi.

Ukraine has received an Alkmaar-type mine-clearing ship from the Netherlands. Oleksii Neizhpapa, Commander of the Ukrainian Navy, reported that expect the transfer of another one by the end of the year. The training of the crew is already underway.
The United Kingdom sent over 85,000 drones to Ukraine in the last 6 months.
