At present, the enemy has attacked the positions of the Defence Forces 113 times.
The russian artillery shelling has affected the border areas of our country, in particular the settlements of Boyaro-Lezhachi, Nova Huta, Novovasylivka, Bobylivka, and Sytne in Sumy oblast; Zoria, Arkhipivka, and Zarichchia in Chernihiv oblast.
Towards Northern-Slobozhanske and Kursk, the enemy troops attempted 5 assaults. Enemy aircraft carried out four air strikes, dropping a total of 12 guided bombs. The enemy also conducted 8 shelling attacks, including five from multiple launch rocket systems.
Towards Southern-Slobozhanske, Ukrainian troops repelled seven enemy assaults near Kamianka, Zakhidne, and Kutkivka, as well as in the direction of Kolodiazne and Bologivka. Three more combat clashes are still ongoing.
Towards Kupiansk, the enemy has attacked five times near the village of Pishchane and in the direction of Petropavlivka and Novoplatonivka since the beginning of the day.
Towards Lyman, Ukrainian units repelled three enemy attacks in the direction of Drobysheve and near the villages of Serednie and Kolodyazi. One attack is still ongoing.
Towards Sloviansk, Ukrainian soldiers repelled four enemy attacks — the occupiers’ units tried to advance in the areas of Yampil, Pereizne, and Vyimka.
Towards Kramatorsk, there were two combat clashes with the enemy in the areas of Stupochky and Orikhovo-Vasylivka. One combat engagement is still ongoing.
Towards Kostyantynivka, russian occupiers stormed the positions of our defenders seven times in the direction of Kostyantynivka and near Shcherbinivka, Pleshchiivka, Rusyne Yar and Poltavka. Ukrainian units repelled five attacks, two more enemy attacks are still ongoing.
Towards Pokrovsk, the occupiers have carried out 47 attacks on the positions of our defenders in the areas of the settlements of Volodymyrivka, Nove Shakhov, Nikanorivka, Chervonyi Lyman, Sukhetske, Mykhailivka, Novoekonomichne, Promin, Lysivka, Pokrovsk, Zvirove, Kotlyne, Udachne, Molodetsk, Gorikove, Novoukrainka, Filiya, and in the direction of Novopavlivka since the beginning of the day. Holding back the enemy’s advance, Ukrainian defenders have already repelled 39 attacks, the fighting is still underway.
Towards Oleksandrivka, the invaders attempted to advance on the positions of Ukrainian troops near the settlements of Yalta, Sichneve, Sosnivka, Novomykolaivka, and Poltavka nine times. Four combat clashes are still ongoing.
Towards Huliaipole, the enemy did not conduct any offensive actions today.
Towards Orikhiv, the enemy attacked twice near Stepove. The settlement of Novoandriivka was hit by an air strike.
Towards Prydniprovsk, the invader’s aviation struck Olgivka with unguided air missiles.
Ukrainian soldiers released from captivity, in need of medical treatment, will receive an additional payment of UAH 50,000. The payment will be valid for the entire duration of continuous treatment (including transfers between hospitals). The relevant bill was approved by the Verkhovna Rada. In case of suspicion of crimes against national security or war crimes, payments will be suspended and, in case of a conviction, cancelled.
Deputies supported a resolution allowing critical enterprises to give reservation to employees with improperly executed registration documents for 45 days.
The Verkhovna Rada voted in favour of the president’s bill on sending Ukrainian Armed Forces units to other countries, namely the United Kingdom and Turkey.
Recent war events in the east of Ukraine
Kharkiv oblast
Frontline
At 16:00, in the South Slobozhanskyi direction, Ukrainian troops repelled seven Russian attacks near Kamianka, Zakhidne, and Kutkivka, as well as in the direction of Kolodiazne and Bologivka. Three more combat clashes are still ongoing. Since the beginning of the day, the occupier has attacked five times in the Kupiansk direction in the area of the settlement of Pishchane and in the direction of Petropavlivka and Novoplatonivka.
Over the past day, 190 combat clashes have been recorded.
Towards Southern Slobozhanske, there were 15 combat clashes in the areas of Vovchansk, Kamianka, Kutkivka, and in the direction of Bologivka, Dvorichansk, and Kolodiazne.
Towards Kupiansk, five attacks by the occupiers took place over the past day. Defence forces repelled enemy assaults in the areas of Kupiansk, Petropavlivka and in the direction of Kurylivka.
Attacks
Oleh Syniehubov, Head of the RMA, said that in Novomykolaivka, Shevchenkove community, russian troops attacked a car with a drone. At least one person is known to have been injured.
Over the past day, the city of Kharkiv and eight settlements in Kharkiv oblast were hit by enemy strikes. As a result of the shelling, 62 people were injured.

In Kharkiv, men aged 79 and 68, women aged 75, 73, 44, 69, and 74 were injured, and 50 hospital patients suffered acute stress reactions. In Kupiansk, women aged 78, 58, and 71, and men aged 57 and 72 were injured.

Seven people were injured and another fifty suffered acute stress reactions as a result of the russian strike on a Kharkiv hospital on the evening of 13 October — all of them were patients at the facility.
The enemy attacked Kyivskyi district with a UAV and Saltivskyi district with two KABs.
Electricity supply was restored to all consumers after the enemy shelling of Kharkiv.
The enemy actively used various types of weapons in Kharkiv oblast:
▪️2 KABs;
▪️17 Geran-2 UAVs;
▪️4 FPV drones.
Civilian infrastructure facilities were damaged and destroyed:
▪️in Kharkiv, a dormitory, an enterprise, an educational institution building, a hospital building, a farm building, 2 non-residential buildings, power lines, and 24 cars were damaged;
▪️in Kupiansk region, a car (Blahodativka), a private house (Kupiansk), 2 private houses, and 2 farm buildings (Velykyi Burluk) were damaged;
▪️in Kharkiv region, a private house (Kozacha Lopan) was damaged.

Evacuation
On 14 October, 40 settlements in Kupiansk region announced the mandatory evacuation of families with children. Here is a complete list of settlements from which compulsory evacuation has been announced.
According to Oleh Syniehubov, Head of the Regional Military Administration, the mandatory evacuation zone for families with children has been expanded in Kupiansk region: now families with children will be forcibly evacuated from 27 settlements in Velykyi Burluk, six in Vilkhuvatka, and seven in
Shevchenkove communities. The decision was made due to the deterioration of the security situation.
Evacuation has been announced for all settlements in the border community of Vilkhuvatka. Previously, mandatory evacuation of families with children had been announced for 24 settlements in the community. On 14 October, the Regional Defence Council decided to expand the evacuation zone due to the deterioration of the security situation — the remaining six settlements of Vilkhuvatka community were included in the expanded zone.
Donetsk oblast
Syrskyi, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, informed that Defence forces advanced 1.6km in certain areas of Pokrovsk region over the past day.
The Ukrainian military also repelled a mechanised assault by the russian army near Novotoreck and Volodymyrivka, destroying 11 out of 12 russian military vehicles.
Dmytro Zaporozhets, Spokesman of the 11th Army Corps, reported that since the beginning of October, russian occupiers have reduced the number of assaults on Ukrainian positions towards Sloviansk. However, their personnel losses have increased. The Ukrainian military has also increased the number of reconnaissance drones and shahids belonging to the russian occupiers that have been destroyed.
Referring to the 7th Corps of the Airborne Forces, russian troops attempted to break through to Myrnohrad on vehicles from two sides — from the east and north. The assaults were carried out on multi-purpose transporters and motorcycles. The Defence Forces repelled both attacks and prevented the occupiers from breaking through to the city. According to the military, the russian army has accumulated armoured vehicles near Pokrovsk agglomeration and plans to intensify assaults in that direction.
According to the morning report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the russian army increased the number of attacks in the direction of Kostiantynivka over the past day. The occupiers carried out 21 assaults near Predtechyne, Oleksandro-Shultyne, Shcherbinivka, Rusyn Yar, Poltavka, Berestok, and Mykolaipillia. The day before, there were 14 attacks.
There were 65 battles towards Pokrovsk and almost 30 towards Oleksandrivka.
Attacks
According to the Ministry of Defence, at around 2:50am, russian troops struck the central part of Sloviansk with a Geran-2 drone. The occupiers hit an administrative building. At 10am, russian troops shelled Sloviansk for the second time in 24 hours. The occupiers struck Skhidnyi microdistrict with ballistic missiles, damaging houses, according to the MBA.
The RMA reported that on 14 October, russian occupiers shelled Kostiantynivka with barrel artillery. Two civilians were wounded.
Two people were killed and five more were wounded and Donetsk police documented the consequences of russian shelling.

On 13 October, russia launched 1,856 strikes on the front line and residential areas.
Nine settlements were under attack: Dobropillia, Kostiantynivka, Kramatorsk, Lyman, Sviatohirsk, Oleksiievo-Druzhkivka, Kamianka, Molocharka, and Novyi Kavkaz.
Thirty-eight civilian objects were destroyed, including 21 residential buildings.
Four pigs were killed in the russian shelling of Novyi Kavkaz over the past day. Employees of the State Emergency Service of Donetsk Oblast managed to save five more animals.
The russians struck Kostiantynivka with eight KAB-250 bombs and three FPV drones, killing two civilians and injuring four more. Ten apartment buildings and two private houses, a shopping centre, a shop, a church, and three civilian vehicles were damaged.
One person was wounded in Lyman, which the enemy attacked with an aerial bomb and an FPV drone. An educational institution and non-residential premises were damaged.
The occupiers directed five drones – UAVs Geran-2 and Molniya-2 – at Kramatorsk, damaging two administrative buildings and a shop. In Sviatohirsk, two private homes were damaged by an Italmas UAV strike.
In Oleksiievo-Druzhkivka, an apartment building and a garage were destroyed. In Molocharka, three private homes were damaged by a KAB strike. Russia targeted Novyi Kavkaz with four Geran-2 UAVs, which damaged two non-residential buildings.
Russian troops dropped a KAB-250 bomb on Dobropillia, damaging three apartment buildings. In Kamianets, an FPV drone damaged a non-residential building.
Other
Police officers from the White Angel crew evacuated two families with five children, the youngest of whom is only two years old, from Druzhkivka. Housing has already been found for them in safer regions of Ukraine.
According to Druzhkivka City Council, the Pension Fund of Ukraine branch is temporarily suspending the reception of citizens. This decision was made due to the deterioration of the security situation. Community residents can contact the PFU hotlines for advice.
Luhansk oblast
Yesterday, russians carried out 14 attacks towards Lyman of the front line. Seven attacks were carried out towards Sloviansk. They stormed our positions towards Hrekivka. The occupiers’ combat tasks were carried out by 14 unmanned aerial vehicles, FPV drones, which they directed towards Ukrainian defenders. The enemy also used barrel artillery seven times.
Ukrainian partisans set fire to a relay cabinet on the railway and made it difficult for russian occupiers to deliver ammunition and fuel towards Svatove.
In the new academic year in the so-called “lpr”, 65% of the total number of budget places in specialised vocational education institutions are allocated to technical specialities. Over the past three years, this percentage has gradually increased at the Kremlin’s behest. The russian Ministry of Education emphasises that 100,000 students from these institutions, including those in the occupied territories, are being recruited to work in russian defence industry enterprises instead of studying.
There is a significant shortage of medical workers not only in the territories captured by russia in 2022, where hospitals have been destroyed and critical infrastructure has not been repaired. Doctors are resigning and seeking a better life even in cities occupied 11 years ago that have been spared from combat operations. For instance, the central city multidisciplinary hospital in Sorokyne is only 47% staffed.
What is happening now in the north of Ukraine
Kyiv oblast
On 13 October, Kaja Kallas, the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, arrived in Kyiv. At a meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, they discussed energy issues, ways to increase pressure on russia, the adoption of the 19th sanctions package, frozen russian assets, the SAFE programme, Ukraine’s path to the EU and the opening of negotiation clusters, and defence support.
According to the city’s mayor, Vitalii Klychko, Kyiv has already allocated UAH 2.7 billion to protect infrastructure facilities,. The city has adopted ‘consolidated decisions’ to protect not only municipal facilities, but also critical state and privately owned infrastructure. After the first level of protection was put in place and approved by a commission involving the State Special Communications Service, a programme was developed for backup power supply and protection of the most important second-level facilities.
According to the Kyiv City Council, deputies approved uniform standards for monuments on columbarium niches for urns with the ashes of Ukrainian military personnel, which are being installed in landscaped areas. This decision was made in order to create unity in the architectural style of memorial areas and equal conditions for honouring the memory of fallen soldiers.
A new shelter has been built on the territory of one of the educational institutions in Vyshhorod. It is a modern protective structure that meets the highest standards of safety and comfort. According to the RMA, it is designed for 210 people and is fully inclusive. The project was implemented thanks to co-financing from the state and local budgets.
Representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs took part in the Kyiv Marathon of Indestructibility – 2025. Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Leonid Tymchenko, together with Ministry of Internal Affairs rehabilitation specialist Anatoliy Varfolomeyev, who lost his sight, took part in the half marathon and covered a distance of 21 kilometres. As part of the marathon, a symbolic race called ‘Take the Next Step’ was held, in which veterans and wounded servicemen of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the National Guard covered 100 metres as a sign of personal trials and recovery from injuries.
Zhytomyr oblast
In Zhytomyr oblast, during the autumn-winter period of 2025-26, power outage schedules will be introduced for consumers. Outages may occur even if the energy facilities located in the region are not damaged by russian attacks. According to Zhytomyroblenergo JSC, the power will be cut off in the event of a significant capacity shortage in Ukraine’s unified energy system.
On 20 October, a meeting with the families of prisoners of war and missing defenders will be held in Zhytomyr. The attendees will meet with a representative of the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights and members of the regional working group of the Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War. This is the tenth meeting with the families of military personnel from Zhytomyr oblast since the beginning of 2025. Similar meetings have been held in all districts of the oblast.
On 12 October, at the Polissky Dragon dragon boat rowing festival in Zhytomyr, 30,000 hryvnias were raised for a neurostimulator for Ivan Nedobryk, a veteran of the russian-Ukrainian war. According to the Zhytomyr City Council, the purchase of the neurostimulator will cost more than 1.2 million hryvnias, so anyone who wishes to contribute to the collection can do so.
Sumy oblast
In the morning update on 14 October the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that six combat engagements took place towards Northern Sloboda and Kursk. Enemy forces carried out six airstrikes, dropping a total of 11 guided aerial bombs and conducting 157 artillery attacks, including two using multiple launch rocket systems.
The Regional Military Administration informed that emergency power outage schedules in Sumy oblast have been cancelled. Electricity supply in the oblast has been partially stabilised, though more than 20,000 customers — mostly residents of the five-kilometre border zone — remain without power.
In Shostka, an energy coordination headquarters continues to operate daily following russian attacks. In cooperation with Sumyoblenergo specialists, the State Emergency Service, and local authorities, decisions are being made promptly to restore electricity, though the situation remains challenging.
Between the morning of 13 October and the morning of 14 October, russian forces launched nearly 110 attacks on 37 settlements across 15 territorial communities in the oblast. The highest number of strikes occurred in Sumy and Shostka regions. The enemy actively used guided aerial bombs (up to 10 strikes) and multiple launch rocket systems (30 strikes), as well as FPV and other unmanned aerial vehicles. As a result of the russian attacks, non-residential buildings were damaged in Sumy community.
During the day, local authorities, together with units of the State Emergency Service, the National Police, and public organisations from border communities, evacuated four people.
Police explosives experts in Sumy oblast neutralised the warhead of a downed enemy drone that had fallen near one of the villages in Sumy region without detonating. Specialists from the Explosive Ordnance Disposal Department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Sumy oblast arrived at the scene.

Chernihiv oblast
Chernihiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office reported that in Nizhyn region, 30 settlements remain without electricity after russian forces attacked energy infrastructure facilities in the area by drones on the evening of 13 October. The strike caused a fire at the facility, which was later extinguished by the State Emergency Service.
That same evening, russian drones struck a private enterprise in the city of Novhorod-Siverskyi, damaging warehouse premises.
Chernihiv Border Detachment informed that throughout 13 October, russian forces attacked four border communities in Chernihiv oblast: Novhorod-Siverska, Semenivska, Horodnyanska, and Snovska. The enemy carried out mortar shelling (25 explosions) and artillery strikes (24 explosions), launched FPV drone attacks (14 explosions), and dropped explosive devices from unmanned aerial vehicles (five explosions). A total of 13 settlements came under enemy fire.
According to the Regional Military Administration, in Chernihiv oblast, recovery works continue at energy infrastructure sites. Hourly power outage schedules remain in effect. The regional power company redistributed consumers among different outage groups to balance the load.
The State Environmental Inspectorate in Chernihiv region stated that as a result of a strike using two russian drones on an enterprise in Chernihiv, fuel ignited, releasing nearly 600 tonnes of harmful substances into the atmosphere and causing environmental damage exceeding UAH 5m.. State inspectors conducted an on-site assessment of the impact area.
Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine
Dnipropetrovsk oblast
By night and into the morning, russian forces continued attacks on Nikopol area, targeting the regional centre and Pokrovsk community by drones. A private house was damaged. Strikes also hit Synelnykove region, where guided aerial bombs were used against Pokrovsk community. Two men, aged 26 and 32, were injured, and infrastructure was damaged.
It was loud in Pavlohrad, where infrastructure sustained damage. Around 15 attacks targeted Nikopol area. The occupiers terrorised the regional centre, Marhanets, Myrove, and Pokrovsk communities using drones and artillery. In Nikopol, a 75-year-old woman was killed. Fires broke out, damaging six private houses, three outbuildings, two utility structures, and three greenhouses.
Strikes also hit Synelnykove region, where a guided aerial bomb targeted Pokrovsk community, damaging a gas pipeline.
Vinnytsia oblast
Serhii Morhunov, Vinnytsia Mayor, reported that another delivery from Vinnytsia has been made to two military units — the 22nd Separate Mechanised Brigade and the 3rd Border Detachment named after Vinnytsia native and Hero of Ukraine, Colonel Yevhenii Pikus. The aid includes 400 FPV drones and five Matrice 4T units.
Kirovohrad oblast
The enemy continues to destroy critical infrastructure facilities in the oblast, this time in Dolynska and Novoprazka communities. According to preliminary reports, there were no casualties. Several buildings were damaged, and five settlements remain without electricity. Fires at the affected sites have been extinguished.
Evacuation of residents from Donetsk oblast to Kirovohrad oblast continues. Overnight, another 13 internally displaced persons arrived. As of today, 270 people have been evacuated, including 15 children and 67 with limited mobility. All evacuees are being accommodated in local communities, provided with humanitarian aid, assisted with documentation, and, most importantly, offered safe living conditions.
Andrii Raikovych, Head of the Regional Military Administration, informed that since the beginning of the year, a total of 5,872 internally displaced persons have relocated to Kirovohrad oblast.
Poltava oblast
Ihor Anikiienko from Machuhy community was killed on 6 June 2025 near Muravka village in Pokrovsk region of Donetsk oblast while carrying out a combat mission.
In Poltava, an oak alley was planted in Peremoha Park to honour the soldiers who died defending Ukraine. A total of 35 oak saplings were planted. The ceremony was attended by relatives of the fallen servicemen and students of Poltava State Medical University.
Cherkasy oblast
Zhashkiv community paid tribute to fallen defender Senior Sergeant Oleksandr Lavreniuk. He had been considered missing in action since 24 April 2024, after failing to return from a combat mission near Novomykhailivka in Donetsk oblast.
Fallen defender Oleksandr Kravchenko from Kalynopil was posthumously awarded the Cross of the Hero. The award was presented to his mother and son. On 28 December 2024, while carrying out a combat mission in Donetsk oblast, Oleksandr sustained fatal injuries.
Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine
Zaporizhzhia oblast
A 63-year-old man was injured as a result of a russian army attack on Ternuvate in the Zaporizhzhia district, reported the Head of the Regional Military Administration, Ivan Fedorov. The settlement was attacked by strike drones. The blast wave and debris damaged houses and farm buildings, and fires broke out.
The Defense Forces repelled four russian attacks near Stepove in the Orikhiv direction. In the Hulyaipole direction, russian troops did not conduct offensive actions, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
During the day on October 13, the russian army carried out 532 strikes on 14 settlements in the Zaporizhzhia region. In particular, seven airstrikes targeted Barvynivka, Hulyaipole, Malynivka, and Bilohirya, reported Ivan Fedorov, Head of the Regional Military Administration.
Mykolaiv oblast
Six times during the day, the russian army attacked the territory of the Ochakiv community with FPV drones. No injuries were reported, according to the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration.
Odesa oblast
President Volodymyr Zelensky announced the creation of a City Military Administration in Odesa. According to him, this decision was prompted by numerous security challenges that had long remained without proper attention.
“Odesa deserves greater protection and support,” the President emphasized. The head of the newly established administration will be appointed soon.
Kherson oblast

Zakarpattia oblast
A solemn initiation ceremony for lyceum students took place at the newly established Velykoy Bereznyansky Lyceum with enhanced military and physical training. 69 young men and women from six regions of Ukraine swore allegiance to the Ukrainian people for the first time.
Ivano-Frankivsk oblast
From now on, Prykarpattia is officially represented in Brussels. As part of the European Week of Regions and Cities, the opening of the Yaremche territorial community’s representative office at the EU Committee of the Regions took place.
Lviv oblast
A concert and fair were held in Sosnivka for City Day, raising almost UAH 30,000. During a charity event for Youth Day in Rava-Ruska, almost UAH 19,000 were raised.
Pidberiztsi Youth Council donated over UAH 12,000 for the front-line needs of soldiers from the community. The funds were raised during an open-air film screening on the occasion of Youth Day.
Bibrsk City Council has approved assistance to soldiers in the total amount of UAH 2.5m. These funds will be used to purchase UAVs as part of the Birds of Victory charity project.
Rivne oblast
Rivne oblast received UAH 7.6m to prepare housing for IDPs. Work is underway in Rivne oblast to find premises suitable for IDPs. District commissions have inspected another 20 buildings.
Ternopil oblast
Training has begun in Ternopil as part of the Improving the Phytosanitary System in Ukraine project.The event brought together specialists from different regions of the country and representatives of the State Plant Protection Service of the Republic of Latvia to discuss modern approaches to integrated plant production, crop protection, and ensuring phytosanitary safety in the EU internal market.
Khmelnytskyi oblast
This week, Khmelnytskyi community sent 200 ten-inch FPV drones worth over UAH 2.5m to the military.
Chernivtsi oblast
The RMA reported that soldier Shkrab Mykhailo has been awarded with the For Military Service to Ukraine Medal.
