It has been the 962th day of the Ukrainian resistance to the russian military aggression. 

What happened in Ukraine today:

Here is operational information of the General Staff as of 6 pm:   

It is reported that the russian invaders continue to storm positions of Ukrainian defenders with 94 combat clashes since the beginning of the day. Most of the fighting was taking place in Kurakhiv direction.

Today, enemy artillery and mortar fire in Chernihiv and Sumy oblasts affected, specifically, communities of Chernatske, Kliusy, Hremyach and Obody. Areas of settlements of Richki, Katerynivka, Bunyakyne, Volfine, Budky, Shalyhine in Sumy oblast, Kupiansk-Vuzlovy, Podoli, Kivsharivka, Kruhlyakivka, Pershotravneve in Kharkiv oblast, Torske, Yuryivka, Toretsk, Petrivka, Mirnohrad, Selidove, Rivnopil in Donetsk oblast; the regional centre and Mala Tokmachka of Zaporizhzhia oblast; Lviv, Poniativka, Kherson oblast.

Towards  Kupiansk, today the russian occupiers have conducted ten offensive operations near Petropavlivka, Stepova Novoselivka, Lozova, Pischany, Vyshnevo and Myasozharivka. Seven clashes are still ongoing.

Towards  Lyman, the enemy attacked 11 times near Novomykhailivka, Hrekivka, Nevsky, Novosadovo and Torsky. The situation is under control.

Towards  Siversk, the Defence Forces repelled three attempts by the aggressor to advance near Verkhnyokamyanske, Ivano-Daryivka and Vyimka. Two battles in the area are still ongoing.

Towards  Kramatorsk, there have been eight clashes so far in Kalynyvka, Chasiv Yar and Stupochky regions.

Towards Toretsk, the occupiers, with the support of bomber aircraft, attempted to dislodge our units from their positions in Toretsk and Petrivka regions nine times, but were forced to go away.

In Pokrovsk, the enemy carried out 14 assaults in the areas of Myrolyubivka, Lysivka, Krutiy Yar and Mykhailivka settlements. The Defence Forces of Ukraine restrained the onslaught of russian troops and repelled 13 attacks, currently there is still one battle going on near Selidovoy.

Towards Kurakhove, the invaders attacked 32 times in Izmailivka, Hirnyk, Kurakhivka, Zhelanne Druge, Tsukuryne, Novodmytrivka, Novoselidivka, Heorhiivka, Kostiantynivka and Antonivka regions. Half of the occupiers’ attempts to advance have already been repulsed. The fighting continues – the most intensely at the moment near Katerynivka.

In the Vremivka direction, the enemy once stormed Ukrainian positions near Bohoyavlenka in vain.

One enemy attack was repulsed in the area of ​​Robotyne in towards Orihiv.

In other areas, the operational situation has not changed significantly.


The UN Monitoring Mission reported that in September 2024, the largest number of civilians was killed in a year. In September, at least 208 civilians were killed and 1,220 received injuries of various degrees of severity.

The Prosecutor General’s Office reported that the criminal proceedings opened due to  Ukrainian journalist Victoriia Roschyna’s disappearance have been upgraded in connection with the information about her being killed in the russian federation, – now the Security Service will investigate a war crime combined with intentional murder. Information about the killing of Ukrainian journalist Victoriia Roschyna, who was illegally detained by the russian federation, was published in the media on 10 October. Victoriia went missing on 3 August 2023, during a trip to the territories occupied by russia.

The press service of the Ministry of Energy reported a power outage in 5 oblasts over the past day, due to hostilities. Power outages occurred in Dnipropetrovsk, Sumy, Donetsk, Zaporizhia and Kharkiv oblasts.

Recent war events in the east of Ukraine

Kharkiv oblast

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported at 16:00pm that seven battles continue towards Kupyansk. In total, the occupiers carried out 10 offensive operations here in a day near Petropavlivka, Stepova Novoselivka, Lozova, Pischany, Vyshneve and Myasozharivka. During the day, 12 October, the russians launched artillery strikes at Kupiansk-Vuzlovy, Podoliy, Kivsharivka, Kruhliakivka and Pershotravnevo.

According to Volodymyr Tymoshko, Head of the police of Kharkiv oblast, on 11 October, the russian federation dropped 13 aerial bombs on Kupyansk, two of them  ODAB-1500. He noted that the number of injured increased to 12, a man and a woman was killed.

According to the police, on 12 October, a woman was injured in Kruhliakivka, a woman and a man were injured in Kupiansk-Vuzlovy, three men were injured in Kolisnykovka, and a man was injured in Bezruky.

Oleksandr Hololobov, Head of Mala Danylivja community, said that electricity supply is being restored in Cherkasska Lozova after the night shelling as a result of the russian strike, the power line was cut. He noted that about 10 houses in the village were damaged, one was destroyed. Cars were also damaged.

Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office reported that around 1:15pm, the russians hit a civilian car with an FPV drone in Kupiansk: a 77-year-old female passenger was injured, and the 52-year-old driver suffered an acute stress reaction. 

Oleksandr Hololobov, Head of Mala Danylivka community, reported that in Mala Danylivka community, the russians hit residential buildings, a fire broke out. Another air bomb hit the territory of the community, on the territory of the garden building. The victim of the attack was 57 years old, he was hospitalised. 

Vyacheslav Zadorenko, Head of Derhachi community, reported  that the russian federation hit the outskirts of Derhachi or neighbouring communities with an anti-aircraft missile. information about the destruction and victims is being ascertained.

Kharkiv RMA reported that around 4:00pm, the russians shelled the village of Cherkaska Lozova of the Mala Danylivka community. The injured man is in serious condition. As a result of a russian hit, a private residential building and dry grass caught fire in the village.

On 11 October, at 9:48pm, the city of Kharkiv was shelled, hitting a forest strip in the Shevchenko district of the city. There were no casualties.

At 1:30am on 12 October, Kupiansk-Vuzlovyi settlement, Kupiansk community, Kupiansk region, was shelled. As a result of the shelling, the farm building was on fire. An 82-year-old woman was injured.

At 11:30pm, Cherkaska Lozova village of Kharkiv oblast was shelled the day before, on 11 October. As a result of the shelling, a fire broke out in a private house.

At 10:40pm, Cherkaska Lozova village of Kharkiv oblast was shelled. Hitting the ground on the territory of a private homestead, a residential building was damaged.

At 5:45pm, Kupiansk region, Kupiansk-Vuzlovyi settlement was shelled. The house was on fire as a result of the shelling.

At 6:18pm, Kupiansk-Vozlovyi village of Kupiansk region was shelled. As a result of the shelling, a partially destroyed building was on fire.

At 4:00pm, Kupiansk, Kupiansky region, was shelled. As a result of shelling, the house was partially damaged. The victim is a 68-year-old woman.

At 4:00pm, Kupiansk,  Kupiansk region was shelled. A 67-year-old man was killed as a result of the shelling. The injured woman is 76 years old.

At 3:58 pm,  Kupiansk,  Kupiansk region was shelled. As a result of the shelling, an economic building, the roof of a house and a private house were on fire. 3 people were injured.

At 3:55 pm, Tymofyivka village of Bohoduhiv region was shelled. As a result of shelling, one house was partially damaged.

At 12:40pm, Kozacha Lopant village of Kharkiv oblast was shelled. A 38-year-old man was killed as a result of dropping ammunition. A 56-year-old woman was injured.

At 12:06pm, Kozacha Lopan village of Kharkiv oblast, was shelled. As a result of the reset, an 86-year-old man was injured.

At 11:20am, Shuivka village of Izyum region was fired upon. A 67-year-old man was injured as a result of the shelling.

At 11:00am, Kyrulivka village of Kupiansk region was fired upon. A house was on fire as a result of the shelling.

Towards Kharkiv, the enemy once unsuccessfully tried to storm near the Tyche village.

The enemy became more towards Kupiansk. 23 attacks by invaders took place during the day. The Defence Forces repelled assaults near Petropavlivka, Stepova Novoselivka, Kolisnikivka, Lozova, Kucherivka, Sinkivka, Kruhlyakivka, Novoosynovo, Vyshnevo and Pischany.

Donetsk oblast

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said that after the occupation of Vuhledar, the russians increased pressure on the village of Bohoiavlenka. Just last day, the occupiers conducted 15 assaults on the Vremiv defence line.

It is reported that russian troops carried out the most attacks during the day in the Kurakhiv direction. Here, the Ukrainian military repulsed 32 assaults, specifically near Kostiantynivka, Katerynivka and Vodyanyi.

Another 21 times, the occupying army attacked in Lyman direction near Terni, Hrekivka, Bilohorivka, Zarichny and Makiivka.

In Pokrovsky direction, the russians stormed 20 times. The Ukrainian defenders repelled most of the attacks near Selidovoy and Lysivka.

Stepan Barna, Commander of the Barni unit of the 10th Separate Mountain Assault Brigade Edelveis reported that the russian army is regrouping to increase the pressure on Siver defence line.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported over the past four days, the occupying army conducted 6 infantry assaults in Siversk direction, specifically, on 9 and 11 October, no attacks were recorded in this area.

The regional prosecutor’s office reported that 2 people were killed and 10 were injured in Donetsk oblast as a result of shelling by the occupiers during 12 October. A 19-year-old man was killed by an FPV drone in the Volnovaha region and an 84-year-old woman was killed in Kurakhivka during artillery shelling. Wounded — in Selydovo, Siversk, Myrnohrad and Shevchenko villages.

The 15th brigade of the National Guard KaraDag reported that their fighters destroyed the base of the russian REB near Tsukuriny in Donetsk oblast. The base was destroyed by kamikaze drone strikes.

Donetsk Regional Emergency Department reported that as a result of yesterday’s attack by the russian army on Kostiantynivka, the russians damaged the fire station. The air raids on Friday, 11 October, knocked out almost all windows and doors, damaged the roof and gates of the garage. The rescuers were not injured.

Operational situation in the oblast as of the morning of 12 October:

Towards Volnovaha. 2 people were killed and 4 houses were damaged in Bohoiavlenka of Uhledarsk community.

Towards Pokrovsk. Kurakhove was subjected to numerous shillings, 3 two-story buildings were damaged in Kurakhove.

Towards Kramatorsk. A house and a power line were damaged in Pyskunivka, Mykolaiv community. In Kostiantynivka, a person was injured, 3 high-rise buildings, 2 private houses, 3 administrative buildings and an infrastructure object were damaged. A person was injured in Pleschiivka of Illiniv community.

Towards Bakhmut. 2 houses were damaged in Siversk. In Chasiv Yar community, a person was injured, 11 private houses, a high-rise building and an industrial building were damaged.

In total, the russians shelled populated areas of Donetsk oblast 21 times during the day. 293 people, including 68 children, were evacuated from the front line.

Vadym Filashkin, Head of Donetsk oblast, reported that over the past day, the russians killed 3 residents of Donetsk oblast: 2 in Bohoiavlenka and 1 in Ivanopil. Another 8 people in the oblast were injured during the day.

Luhansk oblast

Having concentrated their offensive efforts in Lyman region, the enemy tried to advance in areas of Hrekivka, Makiivka, Balka Zhuravka and Bilohorivka. The territory near each settlement is under constant fire from russian artillery. The invaders hit Balka Zhuravka from the rocket salvo system. 46 drones were deployed towards the village.

Luhansk RMA reported that at the school №11 in Khrustalny (formerly Krasnyi Luch), a class with enhanced military training was opened. Officially, its activities will not be supervised by the army of the russian federation, but by the so-called Ministry of Internal Affairs of the People’s Republic of China, and they will not train tomorrow’s fighters there, but only cadets. However, starting from the 5th grade, daily two-hour military training classes are provided for students. The program also includes the study of martial arts skills.

The territory of occupied Siverskodonetsk is served by only two district medics. The city is divided into 13 districts, where these two therapists work. Another provides assistance in Borivskyi, Bobrovy, Syrotyny and Oskolonivka. Before the full-scale invasion, about 50 family medics provided services in the community, with an average of over 2,000 declared patients. 25 times more. The situation with medical care in the city is critical.

Artem Lysohor, Head of Luhansk, reported that tonight, an attack was made on a warehouse of fuel and lubricants in the area of ​​the city of Rovenki in the temporarily occupied territory of Luhansk oblast. Oil and oil products were stored at this base, which were supplied, in particular, for the needs of the russian army. A fire is recorded on the territory of the object. Results of the damage are being clarified. The task was carried out by the forces and means of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine in cooperation with other components of the Defence Forces.

Luhansk RMA reported that towards Siversk, the UAV Unit of the 4th Battalion of the Operational Assignment of the Rubizh Brigade destroyed the dugout where the invaders were hiding.

What is happening now in the north of Ukraine

Kyiv oblast

Kyiv Regional Military Administration hosted a meeting with Arad Benko, Austrian delegation headed by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Austria to Ukraine. Parties discussed expanding cooperation and implementing new projects. These projects include educational and healthcare, civil protection, and providing Kyiv oblast residents with alternative sources of electricity.

The official portal of Kyiv reported that residents of the capital’s high-rise buildings received or applied for compensation for the cost of over 400 units of independent power sources in 2024. The units include generators, solar power plants, and charging stations. In total, during 2023-2024, the city reimbursed the cost of over a 1,000 pieces of equipment.

Valentyna Hinzburg, Director of the Department of Health, reported that in Kyiv, from 10 to 17 October, municipal medical institutions have drawn up schedules for psychologists to see patients on World Mental Health Day. Kyiv residents and internally displaced persons can receive free and full consultation by appointment. She reminded that since June 2022, a Crisis Centre has been operating in the city to help those who have survived the occupation or evacuation, been in the war zone, experienced the loss of a loved one, or become victims or witnesses of physical/sexual violence.

The Office of the Prosecutor General reported that law enforcement officers served a notice of suspicion to a russian military officer who is accused of violating the laws and customs of war, combined with premeditated murder. In March 2022, during the occupation of the town of Bucha, the suspect saw two local residents cooking over a fire near one of houses due to the lack of electricity and gas supply. Without warning, the soldier opened aimed fire from an automatic small arms in their direction. One civilian was killed on the spot from gunshot wounds and another was injured.

The Department of Youth and Sports of Kyiv informed about the killed of Denys Skliarenko, coach of the Troyeschyna football club, at the frontline. After the start of the full-scale invasion of russian troops, he voluntarily joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine, where he served in the 112th Brigade. He was awarded the Golden Cross for his services. The soldier was killed in Kupiansk region.

The VI Regional Veterans’ Event Modern Principles and Opportunities of Adaptive Sports and Rehabilitation was held in Bucha. The event, in the format of a panel discussion and locations with practical opportunities, brought together over 150 veterans from Kyiv oblast, their relatives, volunteers, doctors and government officials. 

Kyiv City State Administration, referring to the organisers of the Run Ukraine event, reported that Kyiv Charity Marathon of Unbreakable Love will take place in the capital this weekend. Traffic will be partially limited. 

Zhytomyr oblast

Zhytomyr RMA reported that as of 10 October, residents of Zhytomyr oblast had submitted 1,267 applications for financial compensation for housing damaged or destroyed by shelling by the russian army. Specially created commissions made 804 decisions to pay compensation totalling UAH 81,1m.

Temporary educational centres were opened in three communities in Zhytomyr oblast (Stanyshivska, Pulynska and Zvyagelska). Centres provide a range of educational services for children who need to make up for educational losses. Their opening was made possible thanks to the efforts of the regional and local authorities, as well as the team of the Lumos Ukraine CF, with the financial support of the Humanitarian Foundation for Ukraine.

The Ministry of Veterans Affairs of Ukraine announced that the Veterans Games will be held in Zhytomyr in November. This year, they will be held in four oblasts of Ukraine and will end with the All-Ukrainian competition in Kyiv. Participants will compete in two disciplines: CrossFit and eSports.

Sumy oblast

Sumy Regional Military Administration reported that on the evening of 11 October, the russian forces launched a missile strike on a residential neighbourhood in Sumy. As a result of the shelling, two women – aged 77 and 30 – were injured. Two houses were destroyed, and another 10 houses, a residential complex, a car, two administrative buildings, a garage, and a cultural centre were damaged. Additionally, there were reports of people with shrapnel wounds who refused hospitalisation, and two others were in shock. Emergency services personnel responded to all the impact sites. The fires that were detected were quickly extinguished, and all areas were inspected. The first aid was provided to the affected individuals. Furthermore, a fire caused by the strike inside one of the buildings was also extinguished.

During night and morning, russians carried out 18 shelling attacks on border areas and settlements in Sumy oblast, resulting in 40 explosions. The attacks targeted Sumy, Mykolaivka, Yunakivka, Bilopillia, Myropilia, Krasnopillia and Shalyhyne communities.

During the day, russians carried out 98 shelling attacks on border areas and settlements in Sumy oblast, resulting in 216 explosions. The attacks targeted Sumy, Khotin, Myropilia, Bilopillia, Krasnopillia, Velyka Pysarivka, Nova Slobidka, Shalyhyne, Esman, Svesa, Seredyna-Buda and Znob-Hovhorod communities.

Myropillia community: airstrikes by GAB (1 explosion), FPV-drones struck (18 explosions).

Khotin community:  airstrikes by GAB (1 explosion), dropping of anti-aircraft missile (VOG) from UAV (3 explosions), tank shelling (4 explosions), mortar shelling (3 explosions).

Velyka Pysarivka community: the enemy fired by artillery (18 explosions), mortars (5 explosions). FPV-drone (6 explosions).

Esman community: the russians hit by barrel artillery (29 explosions). As a result of shelling, 1 civilian was injured. There was also an FPV-drone strike (1 explosion), mortar fire (4 explosions).

Krasnopillia community: FPV-drones struck (12 explosions), VOG dropped from UAVs (2 explosions), artillery shelling (12 explosions), mortar shelling (7 explosions).

Svesa community: the enemy hit by barrel artillery (10 explosions), mortars (2 explosions), FPV drones (2 explosions).

Nova Slobidka community:  airstrikes by GAB (4 explosions), strikes of FPV-drones (2 explosions).

Chernihiv oblast

Throughout the day, the russian army attacked four border communities in Chernihiv oblast: Novhorod-Siverskyi, Semenivka, Snovsk and Horodnia. Thirteen villages came under fire.

Novhorod-Siverskyi community.

21 explosions (probably by 82mm and 120mm mortars, the dropping of an explosive device from an unmanned aerial vehicle) occurred in Hremiach, Buchki and Mikhalchyna Sloboda.

Semenivka community.

26 explosions (probably by barrel artillery, 120mm mortars, drop of an explosive device from an unmanned aerial vehicle and an FPV-drone)  in the area of ​​Yanzhulivka, Karpovichy, Prohres, Mykolaivka, Leonivka, Zaliznyi Mist and Hremiachka.

Snovsk community.

13 explosions (probably by 82mm and 120mm mortars) towards Huta Studenetska and Kliusy.

Horodnia community.

2 explosions (hits, probably dropping an explosive device from an unmanned aerial vehicle) towards Senkivka.

No casualties or injuries among the local population were reported as a result of the shelling.

In Chernihiv, a photo exhibition titled Life Goes On was opened, dedicated to veterans and their families. The project was organised by the Sertsevir veteran space. A total of 15 families were photographed, one of whom is still awaiting the return of their defender from captivity.

Chernihiv Regional Military Commissariat reported that on 12 October, residents paid tribute to two Ukrainian soldiers, Vasyl Nadtochii and Hennadii Karpenko, in Chernihiv oblast. They were killed while performing combat missions in Kharkiv oblast. 

Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine

Dnipropetrovsk oblast

Mykola Lukashuk, Head of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast Council, reported that the facade and windows of a high-rise building in Dnipro were damaged as a result of an enemy attack. There is also damage to property in Pavlograd region. Windows in a private house were smashed. At night and in the morning, the occupiers shelled Nikopol and Myrove  communities with artillery. 

The enemy attacked Nikopol region almost two dozen times. They used artillery, kamikaze drones, and dropped ammunition from drones. They targeted the region centre, Marhanets, Myrove and Pokrovsk communities.  Also during the day, 12 October, the defenders of the sky shot down 3 enemy UAVs over the oblast. Among them were a “Shahed” and a reconnaissance drone.

Vinnytsia oblast

​​Vinnytsia Lyceum №35 held a charity fair to raise UAH 280,000 to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

In a stabilisation centre in Donetsk sector, medics from Chervona Kalyna brigade, which is based in Vinnytsia oblast, sometimes work for 27 hours. The injured are brought in around the clock, examined, diagnosed, provided with the necessary assistance, stabilised and sent to military hospitals and clinics. 

Kirovohrad oblast

The Alley of Honourable Graves at the Far Eastern Cemetery in Kropyvnytskyi said goodbye to Volodymyr Krasiuk, member of the Luty assault brigade and senior police lieutenant who was killed in Donetsk oblast. The 29-year-old policeman was killed during the defence of Toretsk.

Cherkasy oblast

In Uman, Ihor Mytchenko, fallen soldier, was laid to rest. He was injured in the fighting in Sumy oblast. The day before, the city was in mourning.

Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine

According to the Southern Defence Forces, on 11 October, the Ukrainian forces in the south destroyed 10 howitzers, 4 UAVs, 19 motorcycles, 2 buggies, 4 boats and 11 units of russian military vehicles. Also, 96 russian occupiers were eliminated.

Zaporizhzhia oblast

Ivan Fedorov, Head of Zaporizhzhia RMA, reported that 4 people were injured as a result of a night shelling of Zaporizhzhia. Among the injured is a 12-year-old child.

The regional police reported that, preliminarily, russian forces carried out 3 strikes by guided air bombs on Zaporizhzhia.

According to the evening briefing of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Ukrainian Defence Forces repelled a russian attack near Robotyne in Orikhiv axis of Zaporizhzhia oblast.

Mykolaiv oblast 

Based on the information provided by Mykolaiv RMA, during the night of 12 October, the Air Defence Forces in Mykolaiv oblast shot down 3 Shahed-131/136 drones.

On the same night, russian forces attacked Snihurivka community by Shahed drones. One drone strike caused a fire at a farm.

Also, at 3:35am and 3:52am, the russian military attacked Kutsurub community with FPV drones. There were no injuries reported.

Odesa oblast

According to the Ukrainian Navy, there are 2 russian ships in the Black Sea, capable of carrying Kalibr cruise missiles with a total salvo of up to 8 missiles.

Kherson oblast

Roman Mrochko, Head of Kherson CMA, informed that as a result of shelling in Kherson community, a power supply facility was disabled. Power outages are possible in Tekstylne and Zelenivka villages and part of Tavriyskyi district of Kherson.

According to the State Emergency Service, on the evening of 11 October, a warehouse and an open storage area for production waste caught fire in one of Kherson’s districts due to russian shelling. Due to repeated shelling, rescuers had to retreat to a safe location several times before returning to extinguish the fire.

Volodymyr Litvinov, Head of Beryslav RMA, said that today, a military funeral was held in Kherson for Volodymyr Volovyk from Novoolksandrivka community. He was killed on 6 October while carrying out a combat mission in Kharkiv oblast.

Volyn oblast

Lutskspetskomuntrans sent a KAMAZ truck to the newly created military units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Zakarpattia oblast

The construction of 10 houses for IDPs has been completed in Neresnytsk Community. 37 people will live here, among them mostly families who left their homes because of the war. The project was implemented over a year thanks to the support of local and regional budgets, as well as charitable assistance from the Caritas organisation of the Czech Republic. The Lyudyna u Skruti NGO also joined the cooperation, providing furniture and equipment. To date, 7 houses have been occupied, 3 more will be sent to new residents after the selection of candidates.

Ivano-Frankivsk oblast

Specialists of the RMA held a meeting with the displaced people who currently live in Rozhnyativ community. By the way, 800 IDPs found shelter in the community. Family food kits from the Global Empowerment Mission American CF and the HowardGBUFFETT Foundation were handed over to IDPs.

Lviv oblast

An inclusive eco-space for residents of the district and patients of the military hospital was built near the military hospital in Lviv with grant funds. And today, a symbolic tree gledychiya was planted here in memory of four fallen defenders who lived in the houses next to the square.

The delegation of the First Medical Association of Lviv visited Polish partners from the Cardinal Stefan Wyszynski Voivodeship Hospital in Lomza. Medics signed an agreement within the framework of the Interreg NEXT Polska-Ukraina project, which provides financing for the purchase of medical equipment.

In Lviv oblast, a trip to the waterfall was organised for the families of military personnel. 30 people took part in the hike. In addition to the servicemen, there were families of the killed and missing defenders. Participants covered a route 6 km long. All trips for defenders are free of charge and are financed within the limits of the regional target program for the development of tourism.

Rivne oblast

This year, 551 children with disabilities underwent rehabilitation in Rivne oblast. Almost UAH 11m were allocated from the state budget for this. In the near future, we plan to carry out rehabilitation for over 200 children. In general, for 2024, UAH 15.3m were earmarked for this.

Ternopil oblast

A meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of India to Ukraine, Ravi Shankar, took place at the OVA. Technological projects, economic and educational opportunities were discussed.

Khmelnytskyi oblast

Two new recruiting centres of the Ukrainian army have been opened in Khmelnytskyi. They worked in Kamianets-Podilskyi and Shepetivets. In such centres, summonses are not distributed, and citizens can receive informational and advisory services regarding service in the defence forces and, if they wish, can be recruited for a selected military unit and position. This is part of the all-Ukrainian network, which already has 42 centres across the country. Over 20,000 citizens have already used the services of such centres.

Khmelnytskyi City Council allocated an additional UAH 10m from the city budget for payments to military personnel and families of the fallen. In addition, UAH 22m was additionally allocated for shelter in educational institutions.

Chernivtsi oblast

Chernivtsi Regional Center of Emergency Medical Aid and Disaster Medicine received an ambulance thanks to the support of the Olena Zelenska Foundation. It is designed as a mobile intensive care unit and equipped with all the necessary equipment, including a resuscitation unit with a ventilator and a defibrillator. The centre already has 99 sanitary vehicles, 14 of which were purchased in 2023 with funds from the state budget.

International support of Ukraine in the russian-Ukrainian war (russia’s invasion of Ukraine)

Almost 60 countries and organisations have confirmed their participation in the conference on mine action in Ukraine. The conference will be held on 17-18 October in Lausanne, Switzerland.

Slovakia wants to expand the repair base for Ukrainian military equipment in Mykhailivtsi. At the same time, Germany will finance the repair of equipment and Slovakia will provide premises.

Vucic, pro-russian president of Serbia, condemned russia’s actions and signed a declaration in support of Ukraine.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President of Ukraine, met with Frank-Walter Steinmeier, Federal President of Germany. Key topics of negotiations are the security situation in Ukraine, needs against the background of constant russian attacks on the energy network and active combat operations at the front, as well as the development of regional partnerships.
