What happened in Ukraine today:
Here is operational information of the General Staff as of 6 pm:
On 4 August, there were 70 combat engagements on the front line. The occupiers continue to use aviation to carry out air strikes from russian airspace, with the most active offensive actions taking place towards Pokrovsk.
In Chernihiv and Sumy oblasts, russian terrorists continue to use artillery in the vicinities of Sopich, Bachivsk, Chuikivka, and Prohres came under mortar and artillery fire today.
Towards Kharkiv, there were seven combat engagements. Ukrainian troops thwarted three russian attacks in the vicinity of Lyptsi and three attacks near Vovchansk, Hlyboke, and Tykhe. Another assault is ongoing in the vicinity of Lyptsi.
Towards Kupiansk, the enemy carried out an unsuccessful attack near Berestove. Three other combat engagements are currently taking place in the vicinities of Kruhlyakivka, Stelmakhivka, and Petropavlivka. Near Kruhliakivka and Lozova, the occupiers dropped seven guided aerial bombs.
Towards Lyman, the enemy attacked four times in the vicinities of Makiivka, Nevske, and Terny, but received a tough rebuff from Ukrainian soldiers.
Towards Siversk, the occupiers failed in five attempts to storm Ukrainian positions near Verkhnekamianske, Pereizne, Spirne, and Vyimka. Additionally, fighting continues in two locations near Vyimka.
Towards Kramatorsk, the enemy launched 10 attacks on Ukrainian forces’ positions near Chasiv Yar, Andriivka, Stupochky, Spirne, and Ivanivske. Seven engagements are still ongoing. The enemy struck Hryhorivka with unguided aerial rockets from army aviation.
Towards Toretsk, the enemy, supported by assault and bomber aviation, attacked Ukrainian positions eight times. Currently, fighting is ongoing near Niu-York and Zalizne.
The hottest spot is towards Pokrovsk. Fierce battles are taking place in the vicinities of Novooleksandrivka, Vesele, Svirydonivka, Zhelanne, Novoselivka Persha, and Karlivka. The enemy made 16 attempts to storm Ukrainian positions. In the vicinity of Oleksandropol, Vozdvyzhenka, Novohrodivka, and Hrodivka, the aggressor struck with unguided aerial rockets (NARs) and guided aerial bombs (KABs), carrying out a total of 10 air strikes.
Towards Kurakhove, seven enemy assaults were repelled near Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, Paraskoviivka, and Kostiantynivka.
Towards Vremivka, two enemy attacks against Rozdolne and Vodiane were stopped. At the same time, the invaders continue attempts with armoured vehicles to break through Ukrainian defense towards Kostyantynivka, where fighting is currently ongoing. Additionally, one engagement near Vodiane has not yet concluded.
Towards Orikhiv, three enemy attacks were repelled by Ukrainian defenders in the vicinities of Mala Tokmachka, Robotyne, and Novodanylivka. The occupiers struck with 30 unguided aerial rockets (NARs) near Lobkove.
In other directions, the situation remains unchanged.
The Main Intelligence Directorate reported that together the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, it carried out the evacuation of Ukrainian citizens from Lebanon. Twenty-one women and nine children were evacuated and are now safe.
Vadym Filashkin, Head of Donetsk Regional State Administration, reported that more than 700 children will be evacuated from four communities in Donetsk oblast. Armoured vehicles will be used for this purpose.
Recent war events in the east of Ukraine
Kharkiv oblast
Oleh Syniehubov, Head of the RMA, informs that in Kharkiv oblast, the russian army used 16 anti-aircraft missiles, 3 missiles of various types and 1 FPV drone against civilians and civilian infrastructure.
On 4 August, at 00:25am, Pishchane village, Chuhuiv region was shelled. Six houses were damaged as a result of the shelling.
The day before, at 7:28pm, Shevchenkivskyi district of Kharkiv was shelled. The shelling took place in an open area. There were no casualties and no damage.
At 11:00am the town of Chuhuiv was hit. Civilian infrastructure was damaged as a result of a missile strike. There were no casualties.
At 6:02pm Sobolivka village, Kupiansk region, was hit from outside. As a result of the shelling the grass was burning.
At 3:22pm, Derhachi community, Kharkiv region was shelled outside the settlement. As a result of the shelling the grass was burning.
At 3:15pm the town of Kupiansk was hit. The shelling destroyed a private house and two outbuildings. At 2:52pm, a house was burning as a result of UAV shelling.
At 2:42pm, in Kupiansk region, Vilkhuvata community, the vicinity of the village of Prykolotne was shelled. As a result of the shelling the grass was burning.
At 1:05pm the village of Prystin of Kupiansk region was hit. An outbuilding was on fire as a result of the shelling by the CAB.
At 1:05pm, the village of Glushkivka, Kupiansk region was shelled. As a result of the shelling of FAB-250 the grass was burning.
At 12:15pm there was a hit in Maly Burluk village, Kupiansk region, outside the settlement. As a result of the shelling, grass burned on the area of 2.5 hectares.
Towards Kharkiv, the enemy attacked the defensive lines of Ukrainian troops three times near Hlyboke, Tykhe and Vovchansk, where one firefight is currently underway.
Towards Kupiansk, the enemy conducted 14 offensives in the vicinity of Synkivka, Kolesnykivka, Hlushkivka, Stelmakhivka, Andriivka and Berestove. Twelve attacks were stopped, two are ongoing.
Donetsk oblast
According to a report by the General Staff, Ukrainian defence forces repelled 45 russian attacks towards Pokrovsk. Fighting is taking place, in particular, near Zhelanne, Ivanivka and Vozdvyzhenka.
The russians remain active towards Toretsk, where there were 20 attacks over the past day. The russian army is storming in the vicinity of Pivnichne, Niu-York, Toretsk and Zalizne.
Petro Andriushchenko, Adviser to the mayor of Mariupol, says that russians have launched a railway from russian Rostov and the temporarily occupied Mariupol through the village of Hranitne. They have been building this line for 13 months to reduce military logistics and unload the Crimean bridge.
Vadym Filashkin, Head of the Regional Military Administration, informs that children and their families are to be forcibly evacuated from 12 other settlements in Donetsk oblast. The decision of the regional commission included the villages of Hrodivka, Kurakhivka and Novohrodivka communities.
According to Oleh Kalashnikov, a soldier with the 26th Artillery Brigade, over the previous week, the Ukrainian Armed Forces neutralised about two thousand russian soldiers killed and wounded in action near Chasiv Yar. Despite the heavy losses, the russian army continues to actively fight in this area of the frontline.
Operational situation in the region as of the morning of 4 August:
Pokrovsk region. In Kurakhivka, 8 private houses, a multi-storey building and an industrial area were damaged. A house was damaged in Ukrainske of Selidove community. In Novoekonomichne of Hrodivka community, 3 houses were damaged. In Novohrodivka, 4 garages were destroyed. In Pokrovsk, 1 person was killed and 2 injured, 2 houses and an industrial building were destroyed, 21 private houses and a multi-storey building were damaged. A person was wounded in Myrnohrad.
Kramatorsk region. In Kostiantynivka, 2 private houses, a power line and an enterprise building were damaged. In Illinivka community, 6 objects were damaged: 4 in Pleshchiivka, 1 in Stara Mykolaiivka and Katerynivka.
Bakhmut region. In Toretsk a person was wounded and a house damaged. In Chasiv Yar community, 6 private houses, a multi-storey building and an industrial building were damaged. In Siversk, 3 houses were destroyed and 2 damaged.
In total, the russians fired 27 times at the settlements of Donetsk oblast. 123 people were evacuated from the frontline, including 8 children.
Vadym Filashkin, Head of Donetsk Military Administration, informs that over the past day, russians killed 1 resident in Pokrovsk. Another 4 people in the oblast were wounded over the day.
Luhansk oblast
Russians struck Serebrianka forest with two guided aerial bombs. Makiivka was hit with 15 unguided aerial missiles. Frontline villages are under constant fire from the occupiers. In particular, Nevske and Makiivka were shelled with artillery and multiple rocket launchers. About a hundred drones were used by the invaders in this area of the frontline.
Enemy attacks were repelled from Stelmakhivka, Andriivka, Nevske and Makiivka.
Artem Lisohor, Head of Luhansk Regional Military Administration, informs that back in the autumn of 2023, in preparation for Putin’s election, the so-called ‘Ministry of Industry and Trade of the lpr issued an order to suspend the growth of retail food prices in local retail chains. According to the document, businesses were allowed to make a maximum 5% mark-up on the purchase price. Since then, the cost of socially important goods has increased to 70%, instead of the allowed 5%. This applies to local supermarket chains controlled by Luhansk collaborators. They imposed the moratorium themselves, and they violated it. Ordinary citizens have to pay for this. They accused suppliers of “deliberately inflating wholesale prices”.
What is happening now in the north of Ukraine
Kyiv oblast
The Department of Agro-Industrial Development of Kyiv Regional Military Administration reported that Kyiv oblast has signed a memorandum with a mine action operator. This will allow more specialists to be involved in demining the region. As part of the memorandum, the partners plan to train deminers and engage their specialists to detect and dispose of ammunition. They will carry out all the work at their own expense.
Ruslan Kravchenko, Head of the RMA, informed that 8 communities in Kyiv oblast received school buses as humanitarian aid from the Central Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic. 12 buses will be transporting children to schools starting from the new school year. He noted that the need for school buses is extremely high – more than 33.5 children in oblast live beyond walking distance to schools and need constant transportation.
Veteran Arslan Misiratov, Head of the Crimean Organisation of the Military and Combatants, announced that Kyiv is completing the renovation of the first Muslim veterans’ space in Ukraine. It will allow tens of thousands of Muslims serving in the Armed Forces to gather, share experiences, pray and receive support, including psychological support. The space is scheduled to open in a few weeks.
On 4 August, the Ukrainian Women’s Guard held self-defence classes for two groups of women in Kyiv. The practical and theoretical parts of the course of self-defence and survival in crisis situations for womenare taught by trainer Viktor Kraievskyi. The next lesson will take place on 18 August.

Vadym Tokar, Head of Kalynivka, Makariv community, said that a renovated shelter was opened in the local kindergarten Veselka. Thanks to the support of international partners Global Emergency Relief, Recovery@Reconstruction (GER 3), the old basement of the kindergarten was transformed into a modern space where children can not only safely wait out the air alert, but also learn and develop.
Irpin City Council is initiating public hearings on memorialisation of victims of russian aggression. The Council reports that in this way, community residents will be involved in the development of events to honour those who died in the war, which will be held in the city. The public hearings will be held with the support of the Ukrainian Institute of National Remembrance.
The regional military administration reported that the first Ukrainian women’s school for construction equipment operators was opened in Kyiv oblast. On 5 August, the first year of the Alef Stroy School of Construction Equipment Operators will start at Nemishaieve Vocational College and will last for 9 weeks. This is expected to help Ukrainian companies tackle the staffing crisis during the war.
During the war, Kyiv Zoo takes in animals evacuated from the war zone. Two owlets rescued in Kharkiv oblast will be living there. They were found in one of the houses destroyed by shelling by Ukrainian soldiers of the 92nd Separate Assault Brigade during a combat mission.
Zhytomyr oblast
Zviahel Mayor Mykola Borovets said that the community is preparing for the autumn-winter period and possible blackouts by renovating heating networks, replacing old boilers, installing solar power plants and checking the operation of modular generators. The works are to be completed by 1 September.
The National Guard of Ukraine has received a mobile surgical complex for emergency care. This was made possible thanks to the cooperation of Yurii Opanasiuk, a volunteer from Zhytomyr who has been working with international foundations that help the Armed Forces of Ukraine with medical supplies for several years. Representatives of the Norwegian charity HMM Helsehlp Ukraine handed over the fourth specially designed mobile operating unit for use at the Ukrainian front.
Since the beginning of 2024, Zhytomyr Regional Employment Service has issued 400 vouchers for higher education, professional development, retraining and advanced training in blue-collar professions. In addition to people over the age of 45 who are eligible to receive vouchers to pay for education, 2 internally displaced persons, 8 people with disabilities and 14 combatants have also benefited from this opportunity.
Sumy oblast
The RMA reported that at night and in the morning, russians fired 4 times at Sumy oblast – there were 22 explosions. Three border communities were shelled. The enemy shelled Esman community from the territory of the russian federation with an FPV drone (1 explosion) and mortars (4 explosions). The russians dropped 1 mine on the territory of Khotin community. Velyka Pysarivka community was shelled with grenade launchers (16 explosions).
On 3 August, the russian military fired 37 times on the territory of Sumy oblast. A total of 126 explosions were recorded. According to the regional military administration, 12 border communities were shelled.
Nova Sloboda community: russians dropped 1 mine on the territory of the community. There were also attacks by FPV drones (4 explosions).
Krasnopillia community: an FPV drone attack was carried out from the territory of the russian federation (1 explosion).
Bilopillia community: an FPV drone attack (6 explosions), an explosive device dropped from a UAV (4 explosions), and artillery shelling (7 explosions) were recorded.
russians shelled Druzhbivka community (5 explosions), Shalyhyne community (10 explosions), Znob-Novhorodske community (14 explosions) with artillery.
Khotin community: artillery (8 explosions) and mortar shelling (10 explosions), FPV drone attack (1 explosion).
Myropillia community: the enemy conducted an air strike – launches of unmanned aerial vehicles (3 explosions), mortar shelling (8 explosions).
Yunakivka community: an air strike was recorded – launches of multiple rocket launchers (2 explosions), tank shelling (3 explosions).
Velyka Pysarivka community: The enemy dropped 7 mines on the territory of the community. There was also an attack by FPV drones (1 explosion).
Seredyna-Buda community: FPV drone attacks (6 explosions), MLRS shelling (8 explosions), artillery shelling (3 explosions) were carried out from the territory of russia.
Esman community: 13 mines were dropped by russians on the territory of the community. An attack by FPV drones was also recorded (1 explosion).
The North Operational Command reported that as a result of shelling on 3 August, critical infrastructure and transport were damaged in Sumy oblast.
In Myropillia, Sumy region, 2 buildings were destroyed by mortar shelling and guided aerial bomb attacks, and 2 tractors, 2 minibuses and a car were damaged.
In Manukhivka village of Nova Sloboda community, a critical infrastructure facility and a post office building were damaged as a result of two FPV drone strikes.
In the town of Druzhba, Shostka district, five strikes from cannon artillery were recorded, damaging a critical infrastructure facility.
According to the National Police, the russian military shelled 27 settlements in the oblast. The attacks damaged 4 private houses, 2 outbuildings, a power line, an administrative building, 2 tractors, a minibus and 2 cars. Two buildings of an out-of-school educational institution, a utility company, a building of a centre for children and youth creativity and outbuildings were destroyed.
The State Emergency Service reported that fires broke out in several buildings in Sumy district as a result of the air strikes.

The Defence Intelligence of Ukraine reported that operators of the Athena tactical group of the International Legion of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine destroyed fortifications and military infrastructure of the russian invaders near Sumy oblast. The FPV drones hit the russian invaders’ hideouts, their fortifications and military infrastructure.
Sumy Agrarian University hosted a session of canine therapy, a method of positive influence on people with the help of specially trained dogs. It was held in the form of a game for students of the Myropillya Lyceum.
Chernihiv oblast
Over the past day, russian troops attacked two border communities in Chernihiv oblast. According to the State Border Guard Service, there were 29 explosions.
Novhorod-Siverskyi community: 9 mortar attacks in the direction of the settlement of Mikhalchyna Sloboda.
Semenivka community: 20 attacks with mortars, cannon artillery and FPV drones towards Semenivka and Karpovychi.
Chernihiv Automobile Plant will produce 42 low-floor trolleybuses for Khmelnytskyi. Eight trolleybuses will be equipped with an autonomous range of up to 20 kilometres, and the rest – up to two kilometres. These trolleybuses will be able to continue running in the event of a power outage. In addition, they will have air conditioning and video surveillance cameras.
Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine
Dnipropetrovsk oblast
Mykola Lukashuk, Head of the DOC, says that at night, the defenders of the sky shot down an enemy Shahed drone over the region. In the evening, the occupiers shelled Chervonohryhorivka community of Nikopol region with artillery once again. According to the updated information, 9 private houses and infrastructure were damaged as a result of yesterday’s attacks.
During the day, the enemy army attacked Nikopol region with artillery and kamikaze drones. They hit the regional centre, Myrove, Marhanets and Chervonohryhorivka communities. Nine private houses, enterprises, outbuildings, greenhouses, power lines and infrastructure were damaged.
Kirovohrad oblast
Andriy Raikovich, Head of the oblast, informs that at night, the Air Defence Forces shot down a Shahed over Kirovohrad oblast.
An action in support of captured countrymen was held in Dolynske, Kropyvnytskyi region. This is the eleventh time that people have gathered to remember their countrymen who were captured and went missing in the war.
Poltava oblast
Philip Pronin, Head of Poltava Regional Military Administration, says that russian shelling damaged railway infrastructure in Poltava oblast. About 40 households were damaged in Myrhorod region.
Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine
Zaporizhzhia oblast
On 3 August, russian occupiers attacked Zaporizhzhia oblast 498 times.
16 settlements were under enemy fire. The russian army conducted 3 air strikes on Pavlivka and Bilohirsk. 275 UAVs of various modifications attacked Bilenke, Prymorske, Huliaipole, Zaliznychne, Mala Tokmachka, Uspenivka, Levadne, Robotyne, Novodanilivka, Malynivka, Novoandriivka and Verkhnia Tersa.
According to Ivan Fedorov, Head of Zaporizhzhia RMA, 12 attacks from multiple rocket launchers hit Huliaipole, Omelnyk, Novoandriivka, Robotyne and Novodanilivka. 208 artillery attacks were made on the territory of Huliaipole, Mala Tokmachka, Preobrazhenka, Novoandriivka, Robotyne, Novodanylivka, Malynivka and Levadne.
There were 11 reports of residential buildings being destroyed. There were no casualties.
The Air Force shot down all five Shahed-131/136 UAVs in Kherson, Dnipropetrovsk, Kirovohrad and Zaporizhzhia oblasts. The East Air Command did not specify how many Shaheds were shot down in Zaporizhzhia oblast.
Zaporizhzhia ranks fourth among Ukrainian cities in terms of the number of IDPs and the first place in terms of the percentage of the population of the whole country — 24%. Since the start of the full-scale invasion, 275,412 IDPs have arrived in Zaporizhzhia. These are mostly people from Zaporizhzhia, Kherson, Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts. The majority of them are women — 123,829 (45%). In the first half of 2024, Zaporizhzhia centres provided social and charitable assistance to 1758 adults and 1541 children. In 2024, 248 IDPs were employed at the enterprises of Zaporizhzhia.
Mykolaiv oblast
On the morning of 4 August, russian occupation forces fired mortars at the town of Ochakiv, Mykolaiv oblast. A 61-year-old woman was injured and treated on the spot. Four private houses in Ochakiv were damaged by mortar shelling.
The press service of Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration reported that Poland has announced support for Mykolaiv oblast. The oblast will be provided with the necessary assistance and resources to implement joint projects.
Vitalii Kim, Head of Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, met with foster parents of family-type children’s homes in Mykolaiv oblast. As part of the meeting, the Olena Zelenska Foundation donated household appliances, furniture, electronic, mobile and technical devices to 29 families. The funding was provided by the Foundation’s international partner, the Government of the Principality of Liechtenstein.
Odesa oblast
The Ukrainian Navy said that the russian army still has a ship with 4 Kalibrs in the Black Sea. Thus, the level of danger is high.
On 4 August, another dangerous discovery was found in Odesa oblast — an anchor mine that washed up on the coast. The munition was defused by a controlled explosion in compliance with all necessary safety measures.
Kherson oblast
The State Emergency Service of Ukraine reported that on 3 August, russians struck 755 times, firing 135 times with various types of weapons at settlements in Kherson oblast.
On 3 August, 15 people, including a child, were injured in Kherson oblast as a result of russian shelling. Zymivnyk, Pryozerne, Antonivka, Sadove, Zelenivka, Prydniprovske, Bilozirka, Dniprovske, Stanyslav, Berislav, Lvove, Bilohirka, Mykhailivka, Dobrianka, Odradokamianka, Vysokopillia and the city of Kherson came under enemy fire and air strikes.
In Kherson oblast, the russian military hit a critical infrastructure facility, a shop, residential areas, including 4 multi-storey buildings and 11 private houses. A gas pipeline, an outbuilding, a bus, private cars and an ambulance were also damaged.
It is noted that rescuers went 14 times to extinguish fires caused by ammunition. Residential buildings, outbuildings and dead wood on an area of 12.6 hectares were on fire. All the fires were extinguished by fire and rescue units of Kherson oblast and local fire brigades.
In Bilozirka, the occupiers dropped a munition from a UAV on a 12-year-old boy who was on the street. He sustained blast trauma and contusion, as well as injuries to his leg and abdomen. He was hospitalised in moderate condition. Also under attack were medics who were called to help three victims of a drone attack in Antonivka near Kherson. The vehicle was damaged. The medical team was not injured.
On the night of 4 August, russian troops fired incendiary shells at one of the districts of Kherson. The shelling took place around 1 am. A 54-year-old man was hit by the enemy. The shelling caused a fire. The victim was hospitalised.
On 4 August, the russian military dropped explosives from a drone on Sadove and attacked Bilozirka with a drone, there are victims. They were taken to hospital.
On 3 August, the russian army attacked the village of Zymivnyk in Komyshany region from the temporarily occupied left bank. As a result of the russian attack, a 68-year old local resident was injured. The power grid was also damaged, which led to a power outage in part of the village and a lack of water supply. The start of emergency repair work depends on the security situation.
Latest news for today in the western regions of Ukraine
Volyn oblast
The Department of Social and Veteran Policy held a meeting with Yuliia Chaika, representative of the Commissioner for Missing Persons in Volyn oblast, and families whose relatives were in the hostilities zone and now cannot be contacted. In total, there are 25 families whose volunteers or mobilised members disappeared this year. People learned about the algorithm for further actions after receiving an alarming message from a military unit.
Lutsk community sent 2 Motorola radio stations to the military unit A1512 thanks to the budget funds.
As of July, 79,963 IDPs were accepted in Volyn oblast. IDPs who suffered from the russian invasion of Ukraine found shelter: in Lutsk region (including the city of Lutsk) – 32,869 people, in Kovel region (including the city of Kovel) – 21,406 people, in Volodymyr region (including cities of Volodymyr and Novovolynsk) – 19,279 people, in Kamin-Kashir region – 6,409 people. According to the Unified Information Database of IDPs, 44,816 IDPs are registered, which is 32,427 families (of which, by gender, 27,126 are women, 17,690 are men, including 12,119 children under 18). Among the IDPs there are 21,440 persons of working age, 2,231 persons with disabilities, 6,819 pensioners, as well as 84 families with many children and 17 families with single parents.
Zakarpattia oblast
This week, the Owl’s Nest Humanitarian Aid Center provided IDPs registered in Uzhgorod with 30 packages with necessary things for children under 1 year old, 50 bags with grocery sets and 100 packages with hygiene kits. During the week, volunteers gave out clothes, shoes, bed linen and dishes (2,100 items) from the PDUM Partnerschaft Deutschland-Ukraine/Moldova e. V., Luftfahrt ohne Grenzen / Wings of Help eV and other benefactors.
Ivano-Frankivsk oblast
Ivano-Frankivsk City Council reported that the community sent 3 REBs and 20 drones to the Separate Platoon of Unmanned Aerial Systems SAPSAN of the State Special Transport Service.
2 families of fallen defenders went on vacation in the Carpathians thanks to the Care for the Hero’s Family project. 2 adults and 5 children will have the opportunity to recover and emotionally reset during a week. By the way, in the new season of the project, 199 mothers and children have already been provided with that opportunity.
Lviv oblast
The Defender of Ukraine Cup in bench shooting was held in Lviv oblast. In total, 58 participants competed in the tournament. These are military personnel, veterans, volunteers and professional athletes. The sports event was organised by the Department of Youth and Sports of Lviv RMA in cooperation with the School of Higher Sports Mastery within the framework of the League of the Invincibles project.
Rivne oblast
A forum of veteran initiatives will be held in Rivne oblast. During the forum, veterans will be presented with all available psychological and social support initiatives in the oblast. The event will be held on the initiative of Rivne RMA and bring together authorities, volunteers and civil society organisations that work with veterans.
Liudmila Shatkovska, Deputy Head of Rivne RMA, reported that in the oblast, 60.6% of boiler houses and heat networks have been prepared for the heating season. Water supply and sewerage systems are 61% ready.
Ternopil oblast
Ternopil City Council reported that 8 military personnel from the city will receive one-time cash assistance (UAH 10,000 each) for treatment and rehabilitation.
Khmelnytskyi oblast
Khmelnytskyi community provided assistance to 4 owners of households affected by terrorist attacks in the amount of UAH 240,000.
Chernivtsi oblast
Servicemen of the military unit 4815 were awarded medals of Chernivtsi RMA for protection of the state, patriotism and exemplary performance of official duties. The Grateful Bukovyna medal was presented to Bohdan Polskyi, Tetiana Peleh and Ivan Reshetnik.

Norway allocated $7.4m to support UNICEF in Ukraine. The organization will continue to promptly provide vital assistance to Ukrainian children and their families affected by the armed aggression of the russian federation in the fields of child protection, education, health care, social services, water supply and sanitation.
The Ministry of Reintegration reported that Norway is the 5th largest financial partner of UNICEF in the field of responding to humanitarian challenges in Ukraine.
The Ministry of Commerce of China stated that from 1 September, the country will ban the export of all drones that can be used for military purposes.
A Ukrainian Legion can be created in the Czech Republic. According to Yana Chernokhova, Minister of Defense of the country, the Czech Republic is thinking about the fact that Ukrainian refugees voluntarily, without any coercion and pressure could join the legion and thus help their homeland. Ukrainians who already have Czech citizenship could also join the legion. Karel Capek, Spokesman of the Czech Ministry of Defense, said that his department is currently considering the Polish project to create a similar Ukrainian Legion from a practical and legal point of view.
