It has been the 201st day of Ukraine’s resistance to the russian military aggression.

Ukraine briefly

Here is operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 6pm:

The enemy continues to focus on establishing control over the territory of Donetsk oblast, holding the temporarily occupied territories and disrupting the offensive of our troops in certain directions. The enemy conducts aerial reconnaissance, continues to destroy positions of our units, trying to take measures to restore the lost position and moving its troops. There is a constant threat of air and missile strikes throughout Ukraine.

The russian occupiers continue their tactics of terror and intimidation of the civilian population of Ukraine. Unable to respond on the battlefield, russian occupiers once again targeted the critical infrastructure of peaceful Ukrainian cities with missiles. Rockets and volleys of multiple launch rocket systems hit power and water supply facilities, factories and residential buildings in the cities of Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, Kostiantynivka, Sloviansk and Kramatorsk. The infrastructure in the settlements of Pervomaiske, Bilohorivka, Liubomyrivka, Partizanske, Sukhyi Stavok, Shyroke, Vesela Dolyna, and Zaitseve was damaged.

In total, the enemy inflicted 5 missile and more than 10 air strikes, conducting over 20 attacks from multiple launch rocket systems on military and civilian targets on the territory of Ukraine.

In Volyn and Polissia, the situation has not changed significantly.

In other directions, the enemy fired at military and civilian infrastructure from tanks, combat vehicles, barreled and jet artillery, namely:

towards Kharkiv, Kostiantynivka and Udy;

towards Kramatorsk, the settlements of Staryi Karavan, Sloviansk, Tetianivka, Pyskunivka, Raihorodok and Kryva Luka;

towards Bakhmut, the settlements of Bakhmutske, Bakhmut, Mykolaivka Druha, Rozdolivka, Soledar, Vesele and Zaitseve;

towards Avdiivka, areas near Krasnohorivka, Marinka, Novomykhailivka, Pervomaiske and Vodiane;

towards Novopavlivka, Nikolske, Prechistivka, Velyka Novosilka and Vuhledar;

towards Zaporizhzhia, the settlements Huliaipole, Mali Shcherbaky, Malynivka, Novoandriivka, Novopil, Poltavka, Vilne Pole, Vremivka and Zelenyi Hai.

Towards the South Buh, the occupiers fired barreled and rocket artillery along the entire contact line. In addition, the enemy conducted aerial reconnaissance with the UAV, conducting 56 flights.

The military command of the russian federation suspends sending new, already formed, units to the territory of Ukraine. The current situation in the theater of military operations and distrust of the high command force a large number of volunteers to strongly abandon the prospect of serving in combat conditions. The situation is influenced by information about the actual death toll, while losses from among private military companies and those mobilized from the temporarily occupied territories are considered at all. The situation is deteriorating due to the general attitude towards their own wounded. In particular, russian hospitals deliberately simplify diagnoses and the nature of combat injuries, and do not provide time for rehabilitation to quickly return servicemen to the combat zone.

The defense forces successfully repulsed enemy attacks in the areas of Bakhmut, Krasnohorivka, Marinka, Maiorsk, Mykolaivka Druha, and Novomykhailivka.

To support the actions of ground groups, the Defense Forces aircraft carried out seven strikes, hitting five strongholds and buildups of manpower and equipment; two positions of enemy air defense were destroyed.

Fire damage inflicted by our rocket forces and artillery successfully destroyed control points of various levels, buildups of enemy manpower,  air defense means, electronic warfare, artillery units, ammunition, fuel and lubricant depots.

In the liberated areas, mopping-up operations continue, there is a high risk of mine danger. Mass crimes of the enemy on Ukrainian soil, facts of violation of international humanitarian law and rules of warfare are recorded. Representatives of military administrations, together with the Defense Forces, are doing everything possible to avoid a humanitarian catastrophe, resulting from constant shelling, missile and air strikes of the enemy, lack of electricity, food and medicine in the former russia-occupied territories. Evacuation of civilians from the combat zone is ongoing.

IAEA Director General Rafael Mariano Grossi announces that consultations on creating a nuclear and physical security zone around the ZNPP have started. The situation at the station remains unstable. Several weeks of shelling of the ZNPP area resulted in damaging its vital power infrastructure. Even when all reactors are shut down, power is still needed to cool the last reactor and maintain the systems needed to prevent a nuclear accident. Therefore, it is important to create a security zone as soon as possible.

Spokeswoman of the press center of the ‘South’ Operational Command Natalia Humeniuk reports that the Armed Forces of Ukraine liberated at least five settlements of Kherson Oblast and about 500 square kilometers during a counterattack in southern Ukraine. The settlements of Vysokopillia, Novovoznesenske, Bilohirka, Sukhyi Stavok and Myroliubovka have already been liberated today. She also adds that the enemy is trying to enhance filtering measures, in particular around Kherson, taking the city “under siege” with a belt of checkpoints and patrols. The Armed Forces of Ukraine keep this territory under fire control.

The ‘South’ Operational Command reports that in Kharkiv region, enemy units are trying to find ways to get in touch with our units and negotiate their disarming. Head of the press center of the Security and Defense Forces of the ‘South’ Operational Command, Natalia Humeniuk adds: “We continue to advance and this movement is quite convincing. It has an impact not only on the geographical movement of hostile positions, but also on the invaders’ psychological condition…”

Luhansk oblast

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine says that during their retreat, russian troops hastily abandon their positions and flee deep into the temporarily occupied territories or to the russian federation. This trend continues. Thus, in Luhansk oblast, the russian military and their families left Svatove. Only servicemen of the so-called “people’s militia” from among the local residents remained.

 Head of the Luhansk RMA Serhii Haidai says that the occupation authorities confirm the movement of the military and collaborators deep into Luhansk oblast.
