It has been the 109th day of Ukraine’s resisting a full-scale invasion of russia.
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 6pm, the operational situation is as follows:
In the north of Ukraine, there are no significant changes.
The russian troops continue shelling our positions, as well as civilian infrastructure in the settlements of Khrinivka, Chernihiv oblast, and Oleksandrivka, Sumy oblast.
In the Slobozhansky direction, the enemy conducts military actions, trying to improve the tactical position, improves the engineering equipment of defensive positions in the area of Novy Burluk.
The enemy fired mortars, artillery and multiple launch rocket systems at Zamulivka, Bairak, Husarivka and Ruski Tyshky.
The russians unsuccessfully stormed Ukrainian positions near Staritsa – Rubizhne in Luhansk oblast.
Towards Sloviansk, Ukrainian soldiers successfully repelled enemy assault actions near Dovhenke – Mazanivka and Dovhenke – Dolyna.
In Donetsk oblast, the enemy’s main efforts are focused on Severodonetsk and Bakhmut. They carried out attacks on the positions of our troops along the contact line.
Towards Lyman, the enemy did not take active actions, and continued shelling our units, preparing for the offensive.
Towards Severodonetsk, the enemy continued to use barrel and rocket artillery, trying to overcome the resistance of our troops and establish full control over the city of Severodonetsk. The fighting continues.
Towards Bakhmut, the invaders conducted assault actions to cover the settlement of Vrubivka, yet failed.
When trying to resume assault actions towards Orikhove – Zolote, the enemy was rebuffed by the Ukrainian defenders and withdrew.
Towards Avdiivka, Novopavlivske and Zaporizhzhia, the enemy continues firing the positions of our troops to deter their actions and prevent regrouping.
In the South Buh direction, the invaders are trying to hold previously seized positions and carry out shelling of units of the Defense Forces.
The enemy fired using barrel and rocket artillery near Osokorivka, Trudoliubivka, Shyroke, Dobrianka and Blahodatne.
Ukrainian defenders continue inflicting losses on russian invaders in all areas where active hostilities continue.
Shevchenkove region was shelled over the past 24 hours. There were no casualties.
The invaders shelled Mala Danylivka community, Chuhuiv and Izium regions. As a result, private houses, non-residential premises and forest belts caught on fire. At night, invaders’ shells hit residential houses in Bezruky village, Kharkiv region. At around 4 am, the invaders hit Chornohlazivka village, Bohoduhiv district, with artillery. Residents’ homes were damaged.
At around 5 am, a house in Zolochiv community caught on fire as a result of shelling.
There were 4 injured in the region during the day: 3 in Kharkiv region and 1 person was hospitalized in Balakliia. Unfortunately, 3 civilians were killed: 1 in Chuhuiv region and 2 in Zolochiv settlement.
According to the General Staff Armed Forces of Ukraine, russian invaders unsuccessfully stormed positions of the Ukrainian troops toward Starytsia and Rubizhne, Kharkiv oblast. The russian troops are trying to improve the situation near Novyy Burluk. Mortars, artillery and multiple rocket launchers were launched into Zamulivka, Bayrak, Husarivka and Russki Tyshky.
Gas supply was restored to 5K residents in North Saltivka, Kharkiv.
The russian troops shelled a children’s camp in Chuhuiv region. 3 buildings were damaged and bombs left craters in the camp’s territory.
The enemy shelled our positions with mortars, barrel and jet artillery in Komyshuvakha, Hirske, Mykolaivka, and Bilohorivka. The Ukrainian troops repulsed the offensive of the occupiers in Popasna, Vrubivka, Metolkine and Mykolaivka.
Vinnytsia Territorial defense is holding the line towards Sloviansk. Ukrainian fighters share insight into the situation on the front line. Infantry has by far the most mentally challenging and psychologically difficult task. The russians are coming in tanks, constantly firing, while the Armed Forces of Ukraine are waiting for a shipment of extended range artillery from foreign partners to hit russian troops. The infantry is supported by a tank company.
On June 12, the russians killed 1 civilian in Soledar, and injured 3.
In the evening of June 11, there was power outage in the entire Donetsk oblast. Kramatorsk City Council reported absence of power supply in substation 330.
Ukraine has taken out 220 bodies of soldiers defending Mariupol (bodies of Mariupol defenders). The bodies will be identified in the upcoming months. There is still about the same number of dead Ukrainian soldiers in the temporarily occupied Mariupol.
The russian occupation administration announced a children’s department to be opened in the occupied Mariupol next to the maternity hospital they had bombed. Functioning equipment was installed in the department, and the beds were covered with linen stolen from Ukrzaliznytsia (Ukrainian Railways), Petro Andriushchenko, Mariupol’s mayor councillor, reported. It was also revealed that the occupiers plan to demolish all partially destroyed houses in the city within two weeks. They no longer promise people “compensation” and heating in winter.
The occupiers looted another batch of Ukrainian metal. The third batch of Ukrainian metal has already been sent from the port, Petro Andriushchenko, the mayor’s councillor of temporarily occupied Mariupol reported.
SES personnel evacuated 14 people from Pokrovsk and Kramatorsk regions from the zone of active hostilities.
There is no threat of encirclement of our troops in Luhansk oblast.
2 bridges leading to Severodonetsk are destroyed by the rashists. The third one is under shelling all day long, it is old and critically damaged, and trucks cannot move along it because there is a great risk of collapse. If this overpass is destroyed, the regional centre will be cut off. The troops are prepared for any possible development.
According to Oleksander Striuk, the situation in Severodonetsk on June 12, is as follows: the Armed Forces of Ukraine control a third part of the city. Medical workers remain in the hospital to provide medical assistance.
It is very dangerous to leave even from the surrounding settlements.
So far, there is no evacuation from Severodonetsk. The only way out of the city is on foot by the extant bridge, because buses will not get through. Authorities are working on the possibility of evacuation from the regional centre with Iryna Vereshchuk. Around 500 civilians, 40 of them children, remain at the Azot plant in Severodonetsk. Sometimes the troops manage to evacuate some of them.
The rashists are heavily shelling Lysychansk, and today a six-year-old child died as a result of enemy fire. Powerful shelling leaves no chance for residents to survive. Last few days there are more victims in the city, which the orcs are destroying with artillery. Over the past 24 hours, 1 woman was killed and 2 more people injured. They have already been evacuated to hospitals in other parts of the country.
Heavy combat also continues in Hirsk community. Humanitarian cargoes are daily delivered to Lysychansk, and from there they are brought in by car to other settlements in the region.
Russians are near Vrubivka, a settlement that has suffered massive damage from enemy shelling with the Solntsepek flamethrower system. In the occupied Svatove, the rashists are looting a factory, with equipment being taken out to russia. Moreover, they stole all grain from the agrarian district. Right now dozens of Kamaz trucks with Ukrainian grain are heading towards the aggressor country.
In Rubizhne, our troops hit a command post of the Chechens, the number of which is being verified. Furthermore, there have been two more such “parties” in recent days: a stadium with Wagnerians in Kadiivka and a deadly meeting in Khimik Palace of Culture, Severodonetsk.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs records many cases of deaths and injuries, particularly those occurring during fieldwork when agricultural equipment gets blown up on mines. The majority of such cases occur in Kyiv and Chernihiv oblasts.
EOD technicians at the Ministry of Internal Affairs are dealing with mine obstacles of high complexity: booby traps and decoys. Such work is done slowly because rushing it can be fatal for EOD technicians. Despite this, our specialists carry out such work urgently after settlements were shelled. This was reported today at a briefing in Ukrinform by the speaker of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Alyona Matveeva.
The President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, visited Kyiv by rail yesterday to meet with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and discuss all necessary steps for a positive decision of the EU Council regarding granting Ukraine candidate status for joining the European Union. The delegation visited Borodyanka, then Irpin where they saw devastation in the residential sector, and after that they went to Bucha where the delegation visited mass graves of civilians killed during the russian occupation.

Yesterday after 1 p.m., the enemy dropped two explosives from a drone on the territory of Velyka Pysarivka community. Immediately afterwards, they shelled the same areas with artillery. 12 strikes were recorded, said Dmytro Zhyvytskyi, the Head of Sumy Regional Military Administration.

This year, in Kirovohrad region, due to the war, four children’s health camps will not accept children for summer health and recreation. The camps will not open because according to martial law it is impossible to create a secure environment for children to rest.
There are no major changes in other regions of Central Ukraine.
The operational situation in the south-eastern direction has not significantly changed. The russian army did not conduct active hostilities.
The russian troops struck the towns Zaliznychne, Huliaipole, Polohy region, village Kamianske, Vasylivka region. There were 19 reports of destruction of houses (apartments) of citizens and infrastructure as a result of shelling. They also launched an air strike on Kamianske with a pair of Su-25 bombers.
In addition, 21 shellings of our troops along the contact line from all types of weapons in the settlements of Kamianske, Zaliznychne, Novodanylivka, Orikhiv, Olhivske, Staroukraiinka, Temerivka, Vodiane and Pershotravneve were recorded during the day.
The russians fired at the settlements of Danylivka and Temerivka with the BM-21 Grad MLRS, and Zaliznychne with the BM-30 Smerch MLRS. Enemy tanks fired in Vremivka yet again.
During the past day soldiers of the Defense Forces in the Zaporizhzhia direction killed: 19 enemy personnel, wounded 7; destroyed 3 tanks, 3 IFV, 4 units of automotive equipment. In addition, the enemy’s ammunition depot, trench lining, and enemy observation post were destroyed.
The invaders in the occupied territories continue to kidnap Ukrainian citizens and illegally deprive them of their liberty. On June 10, 2022, in the city of Berdiansk, Yerheshova Svitlana Hryhorivna, born in 1967, was taken in an unknown direction. On June 8, 2022, at the checkpoint in Vasylivka, russian military abducted Halyna Viktorivna Prystenska, born in 2001, evacuated from the village of Smirnove, Polohy region, Zaporizhzhia. On June 07, 2022 in the village of Orlyanske, Vasylivka region unknown persons from among russian servicemen abducted Olenchenko Oleksandr Volodymyrovych, born in 1984, participant of 2014 anti-terrorist operation in Donbas. Currently, the whereabouts of kidnapped people is unknown.
As of today, June 12, due to damage to power supply lines, 21 395 consumers in 76 settlements of Zaporizhzhia region have no power supply. During the past day, power supply has been restored to 465 consumers.
