Air and missile strikes on military and civilian targets on the territory of our state continue.
Towards Volyn and Polissia, there is a threat of missile and air strikes by the enemy from the territory and airspace of the republic of belarus.
Towards Siversk, the enemy shelled Tovstodubovo, Vilne and Shevchenkove of Sumy oblast, to demonstrate its presence in the area and deter the actions the Defense Forces units.
Towards Kharkiv, the enemy used barreled and reactive artillery to destroy the areas of Bazaliivka, Borshchova, Cherkaski Tyshky, Dementiivka, Kostiantynivka, Kalynove, Lebiazhe, Oleksandrivka, Pryshyb, Shestakove, Svitlychne, and Verkhniy Saltiv. Enemy aircraft struck near Mospanovo and Zalyman. The areas of the settlements of Chuhuiv, Derhachi and Oleksandrivka were subjected to missile strikes.
The invaders unsuccessfully tried to conduct an assault towards Dementiivka. They were rebuffed and withdrew.
Towards Sloviansk, the enemy tried to destroy civilian infrastructure near Cherkaske, Dmytrivka, Kurulka, Mazanivka, Nortsivka, Petrivske, Ridne, firing from barreled artillery and MLRS. They attempted an offensive towards Brazhkivka. The invaders had no success, suffered losses and withdrew.
Towards Kramatorsk, enemy artillery shelling was carried out in the areas of Spirne, Siversk and Tetianivka. The enemy used aircraft to strike near Ivano-Darivka. The invaders launched an offensive towards Hryhorivka. They had no success and retreated.
Towards Bakhmut, there was shelling near Bakhmut, Kodema, Soledar, and Yakovlivka. After the strikes of enemy aircraft, our defenders repulsed the enemy’s offensive towards the settlements of Soledar and Zaitseve.
Towards Avdiivka, the enemy tried to destroy important infrastructure, inflict losses on our units in the areas of Avdiivka, Krasnohorivka, Novobakhmutivka, Niu York and Toretsk, using the fire of tanks, barreled and rocket artillery. There were airstrikes launched near Marinka and Nevelske. By conducting offensive actions, the enemy tried to advance towards the settlements of Nevelske and Oleksandropil, but failed and withdrew.
Towards Novopavlivka, near Novomykhailivka, Pavlivka, Velyka Novoselka, and Yelizavetivka, enemy units continued shelling with available means of fire. The enemy used aircraft to strike Volodymyrivka area. They fought an offensive battle towards Prechystivka and Pavlivka. The enemy had no success and withdrew.
Towards Zaporizhzhia, the enemy shelled Chervone, Novodanylivka, Novoukrainske, Novopol, Preobrazhenka, Shevchenko, Stepnohirsk, Vremivka, Yanvarske, and Zhaliznychne. The settlements of Huliaipole, Novopil, Novodanylivka and Olhivske were hit by aircraft.
In the South Buh, the enemy continues to focus its main efforts on preventing the advance of our troops, shelling from tanks, barreled artillery and MLRS along the line of contact. There were airstrikes launched near Olhyne, Pervomaiske, and Velike Artakove.
In the Black and Azov Seas, the situation has not changed significantly. The enemy’s ships are conducting reconnaissance and blocking civilian shipping in the northwestern part of the Black Sea.
The russian occupation forces’ death toll is growing. In this regard, the command of the invaders expands the practice of postponing rotations of advanced units indefinitely.

Russia is conducting a powerful information special operation against Ukraine and its military-political leadership, in particular – against President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. According to NSDC Secretary Oleksii Danilov, one of the narratives promoted by russian propaganda is that the world is tired of the war in Ukraine. Danilov stressed that this war should never be “frozen”, since “russia will sooner or later encroach on our land anyway.”
“The russian occupiers are running out of precision weapons, and there are almost no reserves for some types of missiles”, – said the Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. According to the calculations of our intelligence officers, the enemy has no more than 45% of those missiles that were before the start of the war. The situation with Iskanders and Kalibrs is especially difficult. Because of this, the enemy uses X-22 and S-300 missiles in the ground version. But even these reserves are already running out.
Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal says that the next heating season may be the most difficult in the history of independent Ukraine. The greatest risk is russia’s terrorist attacks against critical infrastructure. Therefore, the government will allocate UAH 1 billion 409 million for the purchase of a strategic stock of material reserves, which will allow responding promptly to challenges. Currently, readiness for the heating season is 75%.
Eastern regions
Kharkiv oblast
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, russian invaders shelled at least 20 settlements in Kharkiv oblast with different types of weapons. The enemy’s attempts to attack in the direction of Brazhkivka and Dementiivka failed as the Armed Forces of Ukraine made them withdraw.
The enemy continued shelling Bohodukhiv, Chuhuiv, Izium and Kharkiv districts. Houses, farm buildings, civilian and industrial facilities were damaged. Fires occurred as a result of the shelling.
In the Bohodukhiv district, one of the russian missiles hit a tractor in a field. A man was killed. A warehouse with sunflower seeds caught fire in the Izium district due to the shelling. About 500 tonnes of sunflowers were saved.
Head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleh Syniehubov, reported that two rockets hit the road in Kyiv and Osnova districts. Nearby houses were damaged. In the Osnova district, one of the shrapnel hit the window of a flat and a woman was injured.
Kharkiv Mayor, Ihor Terekhov, said that the invaders shelled the house of merchant Adam Piotrowski. Currently, the Kharkiv City Bureau of Technical Inventory municipally owned corporation is located there. A crater was created on the spot. The blast broke the windows of at least five shops located on the ground floor of a residential apartment building. One woman was injured with shrapnel wounds.
The enemy struck the Shevchenkove district with a cluster missile from the Urahan multiple rocket launcher, hitting an enterprise. There were no casualties or fires.
The invaders shelled Donets settlement, the Izium district, and Zolochiv city, the Bohodukhiv district, from MRLs. In Zolochiv, a shell hit a residential house. A woman was killed. A man was injured in Donets.
Based on the information provided by the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office, in Kharkiv, a 43-year-old resident of Slatyne settlement was detained who during the occupation of the settlement on his own initiative provided the invaders with information about the Armed Forces of Ukraine positions. The man was exposed when he moved to Kharkiv while running away from the front line.
Donetsk oblast
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in Donetsk oblast, Ukrainian troops successfully repelled an enemy offensive in five directions and forced the invaders to retreat.
Head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, Pavlo Kyrylenko, informed that russians killed two civilians in Bakhmut. Another 12 people were injured.
Head of the Sloviansk City Military Administration, Vadym Liakh, reported that russian invaders shelled Sloviansk. The ordnance hit near the railway station and a train with ceramic products. A private house was burnt down. There were no casualties.
Referring to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, the enemy also shelled Bakhmut. A five-storey apartment building was partially destroyed as a result of the explosions. One person may be under the rubble.
Luhansk oblast
Head of the Luhansk Regional Military Administration, Serhii Haidai, reported that russia intensified its firepower, but had no operational success on the front. The invaders are not preparing for the heating season in the occupied settlements in Luhansk Oblast. Residential buildings are still without windows and with destroyed walls.
Overnight, the enemy launched three tank offensives and 23 artillery strikes using multiple rocket launchers. They also launched four missiles. On the border of Luhansk and Donetsk oblasts, Ukrainian defenders repelled all enemy attacks. The invader’s aviation was active near six other cities and villages.
Northern regions
Kyiv oblast
Mine clearance activity continues in Kyiv Oblast. Within a day, State Emergency Service units were responding to calls from citizens and worked in Bucha, Vyshhorod, Fastiv and Brovary regions. 252 explosive objects have been found and cleared.
A Luhansk oblast resident accused of active collaboration with the enemy will face trial by the Kyiv City Prosecutor’s Office. The pre-trial investigation has revealed that the suspect agreed to assume the position of ombudsman of the self-proclaimed LPR, supported russia’s armed aggression against Ukraine, and spread anti-Ukrainian propaganda.
The National Museum of the Revolution of Dignity and partners conducted a patriotic marathon I Honour Warriors and Run for the Heroes of Ukraine in Kyiv. Around 100 people took part in the event, including relatives of the servicemen and activists. According to the marathon rules, participants had to provide the name of the hero they wanted to honour.
A mural honouring the Ghost of Kyiv has been created in the central area of Kyiv. It was sponsored by the For My Ukraine charitable foundation that supports children of fallen pilots. The Ghost of Kyiv depicted on the mural is not a specific person, but an impersonation of the entire 40th Tactical Aviation Brigade defending our capital.
Zhytomyr oblast
This week, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Portugal João Gomes Cravinho and Ambassador of Portugal to Ukraine António Vacco Alves Machado visited Zhytomyr oblast. They discussed the restoration of the 25th Lyceum and other educational institutions in the oblast. The possibility of introducing modern European educational programs for lyceum students was also discussed.
A demonstration in support of Ukrainian prisoners of war took place in Malyn. According to the Malyn Town Council, more than a hundred local residents gathered in the town center. As part of the event, there was an exhibition of photographs by Dmytro Kozatskyi, who defended Mariupol and is currently a POW in russia.
A charity fair for internally displaced persons was held in Zhytomyr at the initiative of the Real Ukrainians Foundation. With the help of the Estonian NGO MONDO partners, they managed to collect a lot of clothes and shoes, which were donated to internally displaced people. There was also a children’s area at the fair.
Sumy oblast
russian troops fired small arms, automatic grenade launchers, mortars and rocket artillery at the border areas of Sumy and Chernihiv Oblasts. As reported in the SBGS, the communities of Velika Pysarivka, Myropillia, Khotyn, Krasnopillia, Bilopillia and Shalygine came under enemy fire.
The Sumy RMA reported that the enemy shelled the territory of the Shalyhine community with machine guns, and the territory of the Bilopillia community with mortars. The mental health service in Atynske was once again damaged by russian invaders. The buildings of the medical center, a canteen and the main building were damaged.
The State Environmental Inspection of the region reported that 212 trees were destroyed on the territory of the recreation center Soniachna Poliana near Sumy due to an enemy airstrike in March. Several people were injured, infrastructure objects were destroyed and damaged, and part of the forest was destroyed due to the strikes. According to the ecologists, the total amount of damages is almost UAH 2 million.
A charity bike ride in support of the military took place in Sumy. Funds were collected for first-aid kits for soldiers who had completed a course in tactical medicine. A fitness warm-up and master classes on providing medical assistance were also held.
The people of Sumy finished their performance at the World Cup in sports radio direction finding in the Bulgarian city of Borovets. The participants put gold, silver and bronze medals in the treasury of the national team. According to the coach, the athletes count on medals at the World Championship, which will start on August 30.
Mykola Ivanovych, an 85-year-old resident of Sumy, sold an apartment and a country plot and donated $35K (about UAH 1.4 million) to help the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This was reported by the Sumy Public Fund, to which the man entrusted the funds.
Chernihiv oblast
The State Border Service reported that the enemy shelled the border areas of Sumy and Chernihiv oblasts with small arms, grenade launchers, mortars and artillery. Once again, the Semenivka community came under enemy fire.
In Chernihiv, 16 residential apartment buildings damaged by shelling are planned to be repaired with state funds. Repair work is ongoing at all the facilities. In general, the state allocated UAH 250 million from the reserve fund for reconstruction of priority critical infrastructure facilities in Chernihiv oblast.
A 20-meter sinkhole, which was formed at the beginning of June after torrential rains began to eliminate in Novhorod-Siverskyi. In a month and a half, it advanced another 5-7 meters. Head of the community, Liudmila Tkachenko, informed about this. The cost of repair operations is UAH 6 million.
Ukrainian stars visited Chernihiv border guards. Tina Karol, Monatik, Pianoboy, the band “Kazka” and “Kvartal 95” performed for the Ukrainian military, which defends the northern border.
Central regions
Dnipropetrovsk oblast
The head of Dnipropetrovsk Regional Council reported that the enemy again shelled Kryvyi Rih and Nikopol districts at night. They shelled the Nikopol district from barrel artillery 7 times. In Nikopol, a dozen residential buildings were damaged. Power lines were also damaged, leaving several thousand residents without electricity. An educational center was also affected.
The Kryvyi Rih district was shelled from the Urahan (Hurricane) MRLS. Buildings in a garden company and power grids were damaged.
The occupiers also attacked Chervonohryhoriv and Marganets communities. A residential building, an outbuilding and a car were damaged. People were not injured.
An energy company was shelled in the Zelenodolsk community. There were no casualties.
Towards Kryvyi Rih, the occupiers tried to conduct reconnaissance in the Potiomkyne region, which is 25 km from Zelenodolsk. The enemy was detected and eliminated.
The enemy is constantly shelling the Kryvyi Rih district to prevent the advance of our troops into the territory of Kherson Oblast.
Vasyl Stuzhenko, a veteran from Kryvyi Rih, who competes as part of the Kryvyi Rih team Kryvbas Neskoreni, won three gold medals in the swimming competition during the Warrior Games in the United States of America. He wrote about it on his Facebook page.
Vinnytsia oblast
Volunteers from Vinnytsia handed over a periscope made with the help of 3D modeling to the east. This was reported by the Podilska Hromada foundation. The military also received generators, walkie-talkies and power banks.
Kirovohrad oblast
Head of the Kirovohrad Regional State Administration Andrii Raikovych announced that Kirovohrad Oblast received another evacuation train from Donetsk Oblast. In total, since the beginning of mandatory evacuation, the region has sheltered more than 2,100 residents of Donetsk Oblast, including more than half a thousand children, many large families and people with disabilities.
Poltava oblast
Poltava oblast received another 30 tons of humanitarian aid from UNICEF, including cooler bags for transporting medicines, hygiene products for adults and children, and household equipment. All help is being delivered to the regional hospitals. More than 9,000 packages of diapers will be handed over to a children’s home in Kremenchuk. According to Dmytro Lunin, Head of Poltava Oblast, the oblast monthly receives humanitarian cargo of various types from UNICEF.
Cherkasy oblast
After a month-long break, Cherkasy actors are preparing for the opening of the theater season. It will begin with the premiere of the performance “Rhinoceros”. The first rehearsals have already taken place on the stage of the theater. The chief director Stanislav Sadakliev noted that the audience should be ready for experiments on stage.
Southern regions
Zaporizhzhia oblast
At night, the russian occupiers fired at infrastructure facilities in Zaporizhzhia and its surroundings. A total of 16 hits were recorded.
On August 26, the russian military shelled residential buildings in the temporarily occupied village of Kamianka. So far, five killed are known, including two children. Oleksandr Starukh, the head of Zaporizhzhya RMA, reported about this. People may still be under the rubble. Shelling was carried out from the occupied territory exclusively on residential buildings.
The russian forces shelled civilian infrastructure in the areas of Stepnohirsk, Huliaipole, Orikhiv, Mala Tokmachka and Malokaterynivka. Residential buildings, as well as one infrastructure object, were damaged. There are wounded among the civilian population.
The situation at the Zaporizhzhia NPP remains tense. Currently, the 5th and 6th power units of the station, which were temporarily disconnected from the network, are operating.
The Zaporizhzhia RMA reported that the population living in a 30-kilometer zone around the NPP is provided with necessary medicines for 120% of the need in case of an emergency.
During the day 1,615 people, including 446 children, were evacuated from the temporarily occupied territory.
Mykolaiv oblast
The enemy shelled the Mykolaiv district with Urahans and Hrads. The building of one of the village schools was damaged. There are no casualties.
The enemy fired 2 missiles from the Smerch multiple rocket launcher at Mykolaiv. There are no losses and destruction.
At night, the settlement of Shyroke was shelled. Agricultural buildings were hit. Police and rescue units are working at the scene.
A 66-year-old woman was injured as a result of enemy attacks on Bereznehuvate. Private residential buildings were destroyed.
A 50-year-old man was killed in the village of Pervomaiske due to shelling by russian troops. A private enterprise and a garage were damaged.
The Security Service of Ukraine detained a russian agent who “directed” missile strikes at schools in Mykolaiv. The perpetrator also collected intelligence on the deployment, movement and armament of the Defense Forces of Ukraine in the south. On his “tip-off”, several objects of military infrastructure were destroyed and damaged in Mykolaiv, and two schools were hit.
All city educational institutions of Mykolaiv will start the academic year online. This was reported by the Mykolaiv City Council. The format of study may change during the year. The main condition for mixed or face-to-face study is the availability of an equipped shelter, a basement or basement premises.
Odesa oblast
A ship group of the enemy fleet in the amount of 12 units continues to maneuver in the Black Sea. 2 surface and 2 underwater missile carriers keep 24 Kalibr missiles at the ready.
The National Police reported suspicion of collaborative activity to a man who was actively spreading content on social networks in support of the armed aggression of the russian federation.
The Security Service of Ukraine also exposed an anti-Ukrainian Internet agitator who publicly justified russia’s armed aggression.
The American organization OSF HealthCare handed over three ambulance cars for Odesa oblast. Cars are equipped with pacemakers, defibrillators, etc. Two cars will go to the front, another one – to the Bilhorod-Dnistrovsk district.
Kherson oblast
A subversive and reconnaissance group of the enemy in the number of about 10 people tried to conduct an assault towards Visokopillia – Dobrianka. The enemy failed and left.
Ukrainian missile and artillery units targeted the checkpoints of the battalion tactical groups of the 83rd and 11th airborne assault regiments in Novovoznesenske and Dudchany. 11 occupiers, a portable anti-aircraft missile system and several units of armored vehicles were eliminated.
Ukrainian tactical aviation struck enemy air defense facilities in Kherson, a stronghold and a buildup of manpower and equipment in Novopetrivka and Olhyne.
Missile and artillery units performed more than 250 fire missions. Confirmed losses of the enemy are 24 soldiers, 2 “Smerch” anti-aircraft guns, 3 “Hyacinth” self-propelled guns, “Pion” self-propelled artillery gun, “Nona” self-propelled artillery and mortar installation, 5 units of armored and automotive vehicles. Warehouses with ammunition were destroyed in the area of Inzhenerne and Chornobaiivka.
The Kherson regional prosecutor’s office informed a resident of Kherson oblast about suspicion of collaborative activity in absentia. The former policeman went over to the side of the enemy and headed the so-called “Henichesky RO GU of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Kherson Oblast”. In particular, the suspect is involved in the illegal forced passporting of citizens of Ukraine with passports of the aggressor state.
As of today, 2,617 civilian objects have been partially or completely damaged in Kherson oblast. There are medical and educational institutions, administrative buildings, bridges, railway stations, and the airport among them.
Employees of the Biosphere Reserve Askania-Nova reported that they managed to collect most of the necessary funds for the purchase of veterinary drugs in 10 days, thanks to caring citizens.
Western regions
Volyn oblast
Since the beginning of the war, 72 012 internally displaced persons (IDPs) have been resettled in Volyn. 59 860 people have the status of IDPs, of which 18 408 are children. In total – 42 119 families.
52-year-old Valentyn Voichun from the village of Hat of the Torchyn community helps Ukrainian soldiers with food. During six months of the war, the man sent 1,5 tons of meat and at least 1,5K cans of stews and porridge to the defenders.
The Volyn photographer presented the media project Survive about displaced children. The media project consists of portraits and a video in which children read Taras Petrynenko’s poem Ukraine.
A 300-kilogram soviet star was dismantled at the Slava Memorial in Lutsk.
The sculpture of the three sisters, which symbolized “unity” with russia and belarus, was decommunized in Kovel. The sculpture was radically updated, changing its concept – the sisters were dressed in harmony with the patterns of three different regions of Ukraine.
In Kyiv, from now on Rostovska street will be called Lutska. This is related to the renaming of 95 streets, alleys and squares, the names of which were associated with russia.
Zakarpattia oblast
Territorial communities of Zakarpattia can receive a grant for placement of recycling centers. This was discussed during a meeting of First Deputy Head of the RMA Myroslav Biletskyi with Hungarian partners.
The director of the Department of Education and Science, Youth and Sports of the Zakarpattia RMA Maryana Marusynets reported that 99% of educational institutions in Zakarpattia oblast (1 246 out of 1 253) had already been checked by the commission regarding readiness for the start of studies. How many institutions will start working in the full-time mode will be decided by September 1.
Uzhhorod joined the all-Ukrainian race I Honor the Warriors, I Run for the Heroes of Ukraine, dedicated to the Day of Remembrance of defenders of Ukraine who died in the struggle for Ukraine’s independence.
Ivano-Frankivsk oblast
Humanitarian aid – food and hygiene products – was sent from Dolyna to the servicemen of the 104th OMBr.
Carpathian rescuers joined the all-Ukrainian patriotic race I Honor the Warriors, I Run for the Heroes of Ukraine organized by the civil organization Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Union of Family Members of the Dead, Deceased and Missing in the ATO Zone.
Lviv oblast
The Simulation Training Center for Emergency Medicine opened in the Second Medical Association of Lviv. Here, doctors from all over Ukraine will study how to provide emergency care using ultra-modern mannequins and simulators.
The Ukrainian Leadership Academy together with the Department of Youth and Sports of Lviv oblast and the Lviv Regional Youth Center conducted training for 30 young people from towns and villages of the Zhovkiv community. This is the first field training within the regional project United.
Youth workers will be given a free educational training (No) Trifles in Relationships. Participants will be taught how to recognize, prevent and confront psychological violence in relationships. The training is implemented by MoloDvizhCenter.Lviv in cooperation with UNFPA Ukraine within the framework of the project No trifles.
The Lviv Regional Youth Center and the headquarters of volunteers of the Powder Tower center, with the support of the Youth and Sports Department of the Lviv RMA are preparing to set a national record for weaving camouflage nets – they want to weave 2K square meters of nets in two days.
On the occasion of the Day of the City, the Stryi community honored the citizens who actively helped the front.
Rivne oblast
49 133 displaced persons live permanently in the oblast. 189 locations are provided for the accommodation of internally displaced persons in Rivne oblast. There are currently 5 432 more vacancies.
Rivne chefs, volunteers and employees of the vocational college of economics and business have been preparing meals for the military almost since the beginning of the war. Since February 28, Volunteer Kitchen has prepared over 28K meals for the military.
In Rivne, the implementation of the NEFCO project Implementation of Energy Saving in Establishments and Institutions Belonging to the Communal Property of the Ccity of Rivne and Modernization of Street Lighting continues. The Northern Environmental Finance Corporation (NEFCO) provided the city with grants of 1 million 200K euros on an irreversible basis.
At the PHCC Yuvileinyi within the Ukrainian-Swiss project Development of Medical Education, the powers of nurses were expanded by providing them with “electronic keys”. This will make it possible for nurses to provide patients with a list of services even without participation of a doctor, for example, to conduct annual medical examinations to determine the physical group, etc.
A concert by Nino Katamadze took place in Rivne. The singer donated the proceeds to help victims of russian aggression and support the Armed Forces. The jazz performer from Georgia is the ambassador of the national rehabilitation center UNBROKEN.
Major Bohdan Dronov, a native of Rivne oblast, commander of a separate motorized infantry battalion, received the title of Hero of Ukraine and the Order of the Golden Star from President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
Head of the Rivne RMA Vitalii Koval announced that 96% of early grain was threshed on all farms of Rivne Oblast. The crop was harvested from an area of over 188K hectares.
Ternopil oblast
The RMA reported that there are 55 enterprises operating in Ternopil Oblast from the regions where active hostilities are taking place.
The Diya.Business support center for entrepreneurs organized an economic forum in Ternopil for owners of small and medium-sized businesses, entrepreneurs and managers. The main goal of the event is to help businesses adapt to wartime conditions.
The soviet MIG-17 without a power plant and attachments is put up for sale through an electronic auction. The plane used to be located on Stepan Bandera Avenue. The starting price of the lot is UAH 245 376. With the funds received, it is planned to purchase an army of drones for the Armed Forces.
In Lanovechchyna, children collected and sent 127 kilograms of raspberries in one day. The young volunteers donated all their funds to the needs of the Armed Forces.
Khmelnytskyi oblast

Chernivtsi oblast
Mayor of Chernivtsi Roman Klichuk announces that the city is 80% ready for the heating season. Thanks to the timely cleaning of pipes from scale, the projected gas savings will be 30%.
