It has been the 579th day of the Ukrainian resistance to the russian military aggression. 

What happened in Ukraine today:

Here is operational information of the General Staff as of 6 pm:   

The russian occupiers continue to violate the International Humanitarian Law, as they not only shell the positions of Ukrainian troops, but also civilian infrastructure in various settlements, terrorizing civilians. Thus, russia once again attacked Ukraine with missiles and Shahed-136/131 kamikaze drones. The port infrastructure in Odesa oblast was hit. The information on the aftermath of this terrorist attack is currently being updated.

The Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to defend in the east and the south of Ukraine, conduct the offensive towards Melitopol and offensive operations towards Bakhmut. As they destroy the enemy, they liberate the temporarily occupied territories and consolidate new positions. 

There were over 32 combat engagements. The enemy launched 1 missile, 56 air strikes, 85 MLRS attacks at the positions of Ukrainian troops and civilian targets across Ukraine. The russian terrorist attacks have killed and wounded civilians. Private residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure were destroyed or damaged.

Air strikes hit Stepne, Sumy oblast, Cherneschyna, Kharkiv oblast, Novoiehorivka, Nevske, Luhansk oblast, Spirne, Klischiivka, Andriyivka, New York, Avdiyivka, Novomykhailivka, Vuhledar, Zolota Nyva, Urozhaine, Staromaiorske, Zelene Pole, Donetsk oblast, Verbove, Mala Tokmachka, Robotyne, Novodanylivka, Zaporizhzhia oblast, Beryslav, Odradokamyanka, Mykolaivka, Burhunka, Olhivka, Kherson oblast, and the city of Kherson.

Over 70 settlements in Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson oblasts came under the artillery fire.

Towards Volyn and Polissia, there were no significant changes.

Towards Siversk and Sloboda, the enemy  maintains its military presence in the areas of russia bordering Ukraine. The enemy troops conduct active subversive activities to prevent the deployment of Ukrainian troops to threatened directions. The enemy increases the density of minefields along the state border in Belgorod oblast, russia.

Towards Kupiansk and Lyman, the enemy did not conduct any offensive actions. 

Towards Bakhmut, the Ukrainian defenders successfully repelled enemy attacks in the areas east of Bohdanivka and south-east of Bila Hora, Donetsk oblast. They attempted to regain the lost position in the vicinity of Klischiivka, Donetsk oblast, to no success.

Towards Avdiivka, the Ukrainian Defense Forces are successfully holding the line and repelling enemy attacks in the vicinity of Avdiivka, Donetsk oblast. 

Towards Mariinka, the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensives in the vicinity of Mariinka, Donetsk oblast, where it made 14 unsuccessful attempts to force Ukrainian troops out of their positions. 

At the same time, towards Shakhtarsk, the Ukrainian defenders continue to hold the line and defend Ukrainian land from the occupiers.

Towards Melitopol, the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue their offensive. The Ukrainian defenders successfully repelled enemy attacks in the vicinity of the settlement of Robotyne, Zaporizhzhia oblast, and continued to consolidate their positions. 

Towards Kherson, the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to conduct counter-battery fire, destroy the warehouses, and successfully strike behind the enemy lines.

The Ukrainian Air Force launched 8 air strikes on the buildup of troops, weapons, and military equipment of the enemy.

The Ukrainian rocket troops and artillery hit 2 anti-aircraft missile systems, 4 artillery systems, and 1 ammunition depot of the enemy.


Russian soldiers tortured some Ukrainian prisoners to death. The head of the UN Commission on Investigation of the Events in Ukraine, Eric Mese, said that his team “gathered additional evidence indicating that the use of torture by the russian armed forces in areas under their control was widespread and systematic. In some cases, torture was used with such brutality that it led to the victim’s death.”

This year, for the first time in Ukraine, only domestically produced gas will be used during the testing season. Naftogaz drilled a record number of new wells and will continue this trend next year. This winter, Ukrainian gas will be used and calculations confirm that it is possible. Naftogaz Chairman Oleksiy Chernys claims that the cost of blue fuel for the population will not change. 

In Kharkiv oblast, the occupiers penetrated into the  Ukrainian territory and began to build fortifications. Towards Kupiansk, ground and air reconnaissance of the “Steel Border” brigade revealed attempts by the rashists to gain a foothold. While building a line of fortifications on the russian side, the invaders penetrated the territory of Ukraine and began to build fortifications near the border. Several invaders were eliminated by border snipers while fleeing from the territory of Ukraine and opened fire from tanks and mortars. 

Recent war events in the east of Ukraine

Illia Yevlash, Head of the press service of the Eastern Group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, stated that towards Lyman-Kupiansk, a number of russian vehicles were destroyed or damaged yesterday: two tanks, four armoured combat vehicles, two mortars, three vehicles, a warehouse with ammunition and one UAV. 145 invaders were eliminated.

The enemy launched 11 air strikes and shelled Ukrainian positions with artillery over 520 times. Near Bilohorivka, the enemy is actively using various artillery systems, looking for weaknesses in the defence.

Kharkiv oblast

Oleh Syniehubov, Head of Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, informed that the enemy shelled Kupiansk around 6:30 am, damaging an outbuilding and setting a fire.

Yesterday the enemy continued to shell settlements in Kharkiv, Bohodukhiv, Chuhuiv, Izium and Kupiansk regions.  Specifically, Kupiansk, Vovchansk, Kozacha Lopan, Dvorichna, Synelnykove and other settlements were targeted and Cherneshchyna village, Izium region, was hit by an air strike. Fires broke out near Holubivka, Blahodativka, Synelnykove and Kurylivka villages of Kupiansk region due to hostile shelling and forests and grass in the fields burned. In Kozacha Lopan village, Kharkiv region, the shelling damaged the infrastructure.

Referring to the press service of Kharkiv State Emergency Service, a combine harvester tripped over an anti-tank mine near Andriivka while it was working in the field. The explosion caused a fire which was extinguished by farmers before rescuers arrived. There were no casualties. The day before, a KAMAZ truck exploded on an explosive device during field work. The 62-year-old driver was injured and hospitalised in critical condition.

Donetsk oblast

Illia Yevlash, Head of the press service of the Eastern Group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, said that Ukrainian troops have liberated 2 kilometres towards Bakhmut.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that towards Marinka, the Defence Forces repelled 11 russian attacks yesterday. Also russian troops stormed towards Bakhmut and Avdiivka in an attempt to regain lost positions.

Ihor Moroz, Acting Head of the Regional Military Administration, said that russian forces shelled Chasiv Yar. At least four private and three apartment buildings, a kindergarten, a boiler house and an industrial building were damaged.

Yesterday the invaders shelled the civilian population of Donetsk oblast 21 times. The enemy attacked from aircraft, Grad and Uragan MRLs, and artillery.Donetsk Police Communication Department said that russian troops targeted 8 settlements: Avdiivka, Chasiv Yar cities, Kurakhivka, Niu-York, Pivnichne settlements, Bohoiavlenka, Halytsynivka, Lastochkyne villages. 18 civilian objects were damaged: 12 private buildings, an outbuilding, a tractor, a car and a power line.

Towards Volnovakha, 2 buildings were damaged in Shakhtarsk of Velyka Novosilka community. Vuhledar was shelled 31 times.

Towards Donetsk, russians shelled Avdiivka with tanks at night and with artillery and Grad MRLs in the morning, damaging 2 buildings. In Ocheretyne community 8 buildings were damaged: 6 in Novoselivka Persha and 2 in Orlivka. In Kurakhove community, Kurakhivka and Ostrivske were shelled, with no casualties.

Towards Horlivka, 5 private buildings, 2 apartment buildings and 1 infrastructure facility were damaged in Chasiv Yar community. One building was damaged in Toretsk and another in Pivnichne. In Soledar community, Rozdolivka, Vasiukivka and Minkivka were under attack.

Towards Lysychansk, 2 people were killed in Zarichne of Lyman community and a building damaged in Torske.

In frontline Kramatorsk, local musicians organised a concert to celebrate the city’s 155th anniversary and Machine Builders’ Day. Volunteers in Kramatorsk organised a fair to raise funds to buy materials for camouflage nets.

Donetsk police reported that they evacuated a couple from Avdiivka. The 61-year-old man and woman’s apartment burned down because of russian shelling. Their cat and dog were killed in the fire and their belongings burned.

The family was evacuated from Vuhledar. Due to the constant shelling and basement living, the 76-year-old man’s illness worsened and his legs began to malfunction. During the evacuation, enemy drones and artillery were operating along the route but law enforcers successfully brought the couple and their dog to safety.

Petro Andriushchenko, Mariupol Mayor’s Councillor, informed that russian invaders continue to build fortifications near the city and bring in concrete trucks to strengthen them.

Luhansk oblast

There were several powerful explosions in the occupied Sorokyne. Artem Lysohor, Head of Luhansk Regional Military Administration, said that in occupied Sorokyne, ammunition was detonating at the industrial site of the Yunist plant.

Yesterday russian troops shelled Novoiehorivka, Novoliubivka, Nevske and Bilohorivka with phosphorus-magnesium ammunition, artillery, aircraft and mortars.

The invaders launched two phosphorus-magnesium munitions at Novoliubivka which set the dry grass around the settlement on fire. There were 10 explosions in nearby Nevske and a village is under constant russian attack. Yesterday the enemy also launched air strikes on Novoiehorivka and Nevske. Nevske and Bilohorivka suffered from artillery and mortar shelling.

The invaders promised residents of the frontline towns to turn on mobile communications after the so-called “first elections”. However, now there are warnings on apartment buildings, with previously mobile coverage on their roofs, that talking on the phone in the area could lead to a basement.

In Lysychansk, locals are preparing for the second winter without centralised heating. Trees are being cut down in the middle of the city to collect firewood.

On behalf of the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Lithuania in Ukraine and the Commander of the Lithuanian Riflemen’s Union in Ukraine, Robertas Gabulas, students from Luhansk Regional Lyceum with enhanced military and physical training received a Skoda Octavia and 70 sets of military uniforms from Kaunas.

What is happening now in the north of Ukraine

Kyiv oblast

Another residential building destroyed during active hostilities in Bucha is being rebuilt with funds from the Fund for the Elimination of the Consequences of Armed Aggression. As reported by the Kyiv Regional Military Administration, the building received significant damage – broken windows, destroyed roof and inter-floor ceilings, some apartments burned down, utility networks were damaged.

A social centre for the homeless is starting to work in a new building in Kostyantynivka. The old building of the centre was completely destroyed by a russian missile strike on March 24. New beds, washing machines, dryers were installed in the new premises, and hot and cold water was provided around the clock.

Kyiv RMA reported that the process of building and repairing shelters in educational institutions in the oblast continues, so that as many children as possible can study offline. The construction of a bomb shelter in the Gogol Lyceum in the Brovary region is in full swing. Due to the lack of shelter, some lyceum students are currently studying remotely. 

The General Prosecutor’s Office reported that the investigation established the names of two russian soldiers who committed mass sexual violence against women and children in the Kyiv oblast during the occupation of the region last year. Testimony was collected regarding more than ten episodes of rape. Soldiers of the russian federation will be tried on charges of war crimes against the civilian population.

The Ukrainian Women’s Guard, in cooperation with the European University, held self-defence training for women on September 24 in Kyiv. The participants not only listened to the theory, but also practiced practical skills – they learned to correctly and quickly assess the situation, use self-defence techniques, and turn surrounding objects into self-defence tools. Within the course, classes are planned to be held twice a month for two groups until the end of the year.

Face-to-face training on providing pre-hospital care for instructors of regional emergency medical care centres has started in Ukraine. The Center for Emergency Medical Aid and Disaster Medicine of the City of Kyiv became one of the first centres in which on-site supervision of specialists is carried out. As reported by the Ministry of Health, over the next two months, 100 instructors from all regional centres of Ukraine will undergo such training, who will become certified instructors in providing pre-hospital care.

Bucha City Council reported that murals by American muralists appeared on two damaged houses in the Sklozavodskyi microdistrict in the city. They were created by well-known volunteers from the USA: BANDIT, John Ashbaugh and Tristan George to support the people of Ukraine and show the world their struggle against the aggressor.

Zhytomyr oblast

Zhytomyr RMA reported that 2,600 objects (which is 54 percent) damaged in the oblast due to the russian invasion, have been restored. Their restoration took place at the expense of the state and regional budgets through the purchase of construction materials, as well as at the expense of citizens’ own funds, balance holders, and charitable organisations.

Zhytomyr RMA reported that 476 applications for compensation for the restoration of housing with minor damage have been submitted to date in the oblast with the help of the e-Recovery public service. Commissions established in territorial communities to review applications approved payments for the restoration of 294 houses and apartments in the amount of almost UAH 27 million.

In Zhytomyr, from September 29 to October 1, the literary forum “Vidsich. DieSlovo”. Workshops, panel discussions, meetings with publishers, poets and writers, book bloggers, winners of the literary marathon of 2022 and 2023 will be held on the literary stage of the forum.

Sumy oblast

During the past day, the russians carried out 15 shelling of the border territories and settlements of the Sumy oblast, a total of 77 explosions were recorded. As reported in the Sumy RMA, the communities of Bilopillia, Khotyn, Krasnopillia, Myropillia, Seredina-Buda, and Nova Sloboda came under shelling. The enemy attacked with mortars, artillery, AGS, used a kamikaze drone, launched unguided missiles from a helicopter.

The police of Sumy oblast reported that as a result of enemy strikes in the oblast, cattle were killed, 8 private houses, 3 farm buildings, 2 greenhouses, a cultural center, a garage, a car were damaged, and forest products caught fire. According to these facts, the investigators opened criminal proceedings under the article on violation of the laws and customs of war.

The Sumy Regional Military Administration reported that the enemy shelled the Seredina-Buda community, 10 mortar explosions were recorded.

Over the past week, pyrotechnicians discovered and destroyed 20 explosive objects on the territory of Sumy oblast. As reported by the regional emergency department, dangerous finds were discovered in the territories of Sumy, Okhtyrka, Shostka and Konotop regions: artillery shells, mortar mines, rocket-propelled artillery shells, explosives, anti-tank and underbarrel grenades.

Head of the Sumy RMA Volodymyr Artyukh announced that almost 600 million hryvnias have been allocated for the arrangement of shelters in the oblast from various sources of funding this year. 

Chernihiv oblast

During the past day, the russians shelled the border of Chernihiv oblast 7 times from their territory. As reported in the SBGS, a total of 132 explosions were recorded. Three communities were shelled: Novhorod-Siverskyi (87 hits from mortars, barrel artillery, and MLRS in the direction of Yasna Polyana and Mikhalchyna Sloboda); Semenivka (15 shots from barrel artillery in the direction of Karpovychi, Zarichchya and Tymonovichi villages); Horodnyanka (30 shots from MLRS in the direction of Hasychivka).

Head of Chernihiv RMA Vyacheslav Chaus said that the enemy shelled 21 border settlements of the oblast for 59 times, a total of 672 explosions were recorded. As a result of russian shelling, civilian infrastructure was damaged: private houses, farm buildings, cars.

Chernihiv city council reported that the roofs of buildings damaged by a russian missile attack on the city center on August 19 are being actively replaced. According to expert reports, significant damage was caused to the roofs of six apartment buildings. In order to restore them, it is necessary to carry out capital works that have already been started. A total of 82 apartment buildings were damaged. It is planned to close the perimeter of the houses and complete the main works before the beginning of the heating season.

In Chernihiv oblast, since the beginning of the large-scale invasion of the russian federation on the territory of Ukraine, communities have purchased 50 drones for the needs of the Armed Forces for the amount of almost UAH 9.2 million. This is stated in the relevant tenders on the Prozorro public procurement platform. Most often, the following brands and models of drones in various configurations are prescribed in tenders: Autel EVO, DJI Mavic 3, DJI Mavic 3T.

Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine

Dnipropetrovsk oblast

Overnight the enemy attacked Nikopol region twice. They shelled Pokrovsk and Myrove communities with artillery. The shelling caused two fires, dry grass was on fire but rescuers extinguished the fires. An agricultural enterprise and a power line were damaged. There were no casualties. Our military shot down an enemy drone over Kryvyi Rih at night. A fire broke out at an enterprise. There were no casualties.

In the afternoon, the enemy attacked the villages of Marhanets community, Nikopol region, with artillery and 6 times from drones.

In the evening, the occupiers shelled Nikopol with artillery.

Vinnytsia oblast

Over 100 frameless medical stretchers for the Armed Forces of Ukraine were sewn by a private atelier in Kryzhopil over three months. The stretchers are being delivered to the defenders in Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia and Kherson. It helps to carry out the injured from the battlefield. The stretchers are made of lightweight fabric and reinforced with straps, which are stitched in squares, have six handles and two at the bottom and top. This is to make it easier to carry the injured. There is a carbine to secure the injured. The stretcher can support a weight of up to 150 kilograms. They are lightweight, compact, durable and double-sided. The stretchers have already saved many lives and are being used in Kupiansk, Selydove and Pokrovsk.

Kirovohrad oblast

Andrii Raikovych, Head of Kirovohrad Regional Military Administration, said that one Kalibr cruise missile was shot down over the region without any aftermath.

Serhii Polishchuk, Deputy Head of the RMA, reported that during the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, russian troops damaged 141 residential buildings in Kirovohrad oblast. 51 buildings were restored and one new building replaced the destroyed one.

Poltava oblast

In Kremenchuk, 98 damaged facilities were examined as a result of an enemy strike. This is about 60% of the total. Seven teams of specialists worked for several days. The work is ongoing. The estimated amount of compensation is UAH 25.5 million. This is not the final amount as the facilities are still being inspected. The needs include replacing roofs, windows and facade work. They plan to allocate funds from the regional budget for these needs. Funding is provided by the regional and city budgets.

The development of veterans’ policy was discussed at the weekly staff meeting. Poltava oblast has a complex programme for rehabilitation, integration and social protection of Ukraine’s defenders and family members of those who were killed. Social rehabilitation of disabled war veterans and their families is crucial. 74 people already used this service.

Cherkasy oblast

Ihor Taburets, Head of the RMA, informed that rescuers continue clearing the region of explosives. Most of these finds were made in Uman region which was the first to be attacked by russia. Our sappers are also actively helping other regions: in the south and east. The rotations are regular. The scale of the work is huge. Today, our rescuers have mastered new equipment for humanitarian demining provided by international partners. The equipment is robotic, with remote control, which means the operator will be safer.

Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine

Zaporizhzhia oblast

Yesterday, russian military personnel conducted 140 strikes on 23 populated areas in Zaporizhzhia oblast. Of these, 129 artillery shelling attacks targeted the territories of Levadne, Preobrazhenka, Olhivka, Charivne, Chervone, Mala Tokmachka, Kamianske, Pavlivka, Piatyhatky, and other cities and villages along the frontline. The enemy attacked Huliaipole, Novodanylivka, and Novodarivka using UAVs, and shelled Novodanylivka, Robotyne, and Poltavka with multiple launch rocket systems (RSZV). Additionally, there were five airstrikes on Orikhiv and Mala Tokmachka. Seventeen reports of damage to residential buildings, agricultural facilities, and infrastructure objects were received.

As a result of russian shelling, 11 fires broke out in Polohy and Vasylivka regions. Rescuers extinguished fires in six residential buildings, six agricultural buildings, and one outbuilding in four populated areas of Polohy region. The total area affected by the fires was 740 square meters. Emergency services extinguished a fire in two agricultural buildings with a total area of 130 square meters in the town of Stepnohirsk in Vasylivka region.

Several explosions were heard on the outskirts of the temporarily occupied Berdiansk. Deputy head of the regional council Viktor Dudukalov reported this. According to the official, the explosions were heard around 11 o’clock in the morning, and detonations continued for nearly 30 minutes. However, there is currently no official information regarding the impact location.

Mykolaiv oblast

During the night of September 25, anti-aircraft defense forces in Mykolaiv oblast destroyed a cruise missile of the “Kalibr” type. Additionally, in the morning at 04:01, the enemy shelled with artillery the city of Ochakiv. There were no reported casualties or injuries. This information was provided by the Mykolaiv RMA.

Today, on September 25, Mykolaiv and Kherson Regional Employment Centers received 2 microbuses from representatives of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in Ukraine. These vehicles will be used to provide services to residents of areas that have been most affected by enemy shelling. The handover of the vehicles took place in Mykolaiv. This was announced by the head of Mykolaiv Regional Employment Center, Dmytro Oboronko.

Demining efforts continue daily for near 10 months after the de-occupation of populated areas in Mykolaiv oblast. SES personnel are making heroic efforts to ensure the safety of the region’s residents. As of September 25, there are 9 pyrotechnic teams operating in Mykolaivoblast, comprising 45 highly qualified specialists. These brave individuals are supported by colleagues from various regions of Ukraine, including Kyiv, Lviv, Odesa, and Rivne oblasts. 52,211 hectares of land have been surveyed, with 5,181 hectares successfully cleared of mines during this time. Pyrotechnicians have extracted and destroyed 19,842 explosive devices, including 57 aerial bombs.

Odesa oblast

During the night of September 25, the russian army attacked Odesa oblast with 19 drones of the Shahed-136/131 type, two “Onyx” missiles, as well as “Kalibr” missiles. This attack resulted in destruction and damage. russian missiles hit the port infrastructure, damaging the maritime station. A fire broke out in the building of the station’s hotel, which was subsequently extinguished. A grain storage facility was also destroyed. One woman was injured, and two men were found dead under the rubble of a warehouse. This information was reported by the head of Odesa RMA, Oleh Kiper.

On the night of September 25, Ukrainian Air Defense forces destroyed 30 out of 33 enemy aerial targets. This information was provided by the press service of the “South” Air Command.

As a result of the russian nighttime attack, the electrical grid was damaged, leaving over a thousand consumers without power. Repair work is ongoing. Additionally, a gas station was damaged during the aerial battle, and approximately two thousand consumers in the suburbs of Odesa are currently without gas supply. Efforts are underway to restore gas supply to these areas.

The russian military placed two missile carriers armed with eight “Kalibr” missiles on combat duty in the Black Sea. In total, there are 11 russian military vessels maneuvering in the Black Sea, including one submarine and one surface vessel. This information was reported by the “South” Operational Command.

Kherson oblast

This morning, russian aviation attacked Beryslav. The occupiers dropped four aerial bombs on the city. One of them hit a building of the housing and utilities office. Another aerial bomb destroyed a residential building. Due to the russian airstrike on the housing and utilities office in Beryslav, two people were killed. They were inside the building at the time of the enemy strike, and two more individuals were wounded.

Today at 01:00, the enemy shelled Kherson, damaging an educational institution building. Around 05:00, the russian army conducted aerial attacks on the populated areas of Olhivka and Lvove.

Yesterday, the enemy carried out 87 attacks, firing 497 shells from mortars, artillery, “Grad” systems, tanks, UAVs, and aviation. The enemy launched 23 shells at the city of Kherson. Six private houses were destroyed by aerial strikes, and 20 were damaged in Mykolaivka. 16 houses and a farm were damaged in Lvovoe. Residential buildings and and an architectural monument were destroyed or damaged by bomb explosions in Kozatske, Kakhova region. Naddniprianske, Odradokamianka, and Olhivka were also under enemy aviation attacks. Bank premises, the territory of an enterprise, a medical facility, a kindergarten, a church, and residential buildings were damaged in Beryslav. Rocket strikes damaged the areas of factories in Korabelnyi and Dnipro districts in Kherson city, warehouse premises, the park area, and caused windows to shatter in surrounding multi-story buildings. Due to russian aggression, two people were killed, and another 11 were wounded. In the past two days, the police opened 19 criminal cases related to war crimes committed by russian military personnel in Kherson oblast.

According to the “South” Operational Command, the southern defense forces continue to carry out their fire tasks. Yesterday, the enemy lost 12 occuppiers, 1 self-propelled howitzer “Msta-S,” 3 guns, 1 anti-aircraft missile complex “OSA-AKM,” 1 BTR-82A, 2 units of automotive equipment, 1 reconnaissance drone of the “Orlan-10” type, and 1 boat.

Police evacuated three families with children from shelled areas in Kherson and Komyshany. Over the past two days, a woman with her daughter and grandson living in Kherson in the “Korabel” neighbborhood agreed to leave the shelling zone. Two more families with three children from Komyshany decided to evacuate.

Six-year-old Maryna became the first child to receive a prosthesis in Ukraine. The girl lost her leg during one of the russian strikes at Kherson oblast. The prosthesis for the girl was made to be cosmetically similar to a real leg. This will help Maryna overcome psychological fear and socialize with her peers.

Lithuanian diplomats led by a member of the European Parliament from Lithuania, Andrius Kubilius, visited Kalynivka community. During the visit, issues related to the reconstruction and development of the settlements in the community were discussed. Additionally, humanitarian aid from Lithuanian volunteer organizations arrived, including 20 beds for local residents, a “Skoda” car, and a set of tools for the utility enterprise, as well as sweets for children.

Latest news for today in the western regions of Ukraine

Volyn oblast

Last week, 9 people from Kherson oblast came to Volyn oblast, who were forced to leave their homes due to the explosion of Kakhovsk HPP. In total, 169 such IDPs arrived in the oblast. In total, Volyn received 78 613 IDPs. 50 038 people have the status of IDPs. This amounts to 35 947 families, in which 14 324 are children.

Zakarpattia oblast

The first marathon in the Western region took place in Zakarpattia. About half a thousand participants from 18 oblasts of Ukraine joined the marathon in the Western region. Participants covered the distance in support of the Ukrainian defenders. 100% of the contributions of everyone who joined the West Carpathian Marathon will be directed to the needs of the Armed Forces.

Ivano-Frankivsk oblast

Ivano-Frankivsk region became the fourth region in Ukraine in terms of the number of relocated enterprises. Over 500 requests from individuals and legal entities registered on the website of the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine were processed during the period of operation of the Business Relocation program. 80 economic entities have moved to Prykarpattia, started work and produced products.

Lviv oblast

A meeting of the Ukraine-NATO Inter-Parliamentary Council took place in Lviv oblast. Deepening non-military cooperation with NATO was discussed.

The RMA reported that in Rava-Ruska, over UAH 115K were collected for compatriots at the front during a charity fair.

Residents of Verblyany village of Yavoriv region collected over UAH 70K for the Armed Forces during a charity event. The funds were used to purchase a walkie-talkie, a drone and a car for defenders.

The RMA reported that about UAH 60K was collected for the Armed Forces during a charity concert in the village of Vysloboky, Lviv district.

Rivne oblast

The RMA reported that places of compact residence of IDPs are being checked in Rivne oblast. Over 50K IDP currently live in Rivne oblast. Some of these people live in compact housing. These are mainly families with children, elderly people, less mobile categories of the population who will continue to need help and social support.

Ternopil oblast

From September 30, Army Aid from Ternopil will be sent to the military from Ternopil in the direction of Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhya, Donetsk and Kharkiv oblast. Within the framework of this project, relatives of defenders can deliver a parcel free of charge to their relatives and acquaintances of servicemen who are currently in these directions

Khmelnytskyi oblast

An exhibition of the Bakhmut artist was opened in Khmelnytskyi Regional Art Museum. Serhii Sadchikov is currently being evacuated to Germany. Due to their large number, the artist was forced to leave his own works in the burning city of Bakhmut. And only thanks to the care and concern of volunteers, the artist’s paintings were evacuated to Khmelnytskyi.

Chernivtsi oblast

Bukovyna combat medics, who saved the lives of fighters in Kupian district, received an evacuation vehicle and the necessary medicines thanks to Chernivtsi regional organization of the trade union of healthcare workers.

An interesting vacation was organized for the children of Bukovyna defenders. Children from the Vyzhnytsk community visited Chernivtsi and Khotyn fortress, and children from Khotyn region visited the museum of ethnography and local history in the village of Podzakharichi and visited Smuhar waterfalls in the village Roztok.

Bridget Brink, US Ambassador to Ukraine, reported that the USA and Ukraine signed a joint Memorandum on cooperation to ensure the stability of the Ukrainian energy system. The Polish-Ukrainian training of rescuers of Ukraine ended in Poland. Przemysław Przęczek Z-ca MKW PSP presented certificates of completion of training to 44 firefighters from Khmelnytskyi, Kyiv, Kherson, Odesa, Ternopil and Ivano-Frankivsk oblasts as part of the “Improving the effectiveness of response of Ukrainian emergency and rescue services – Stage V” project.
