What happened in Ukraine today:

Here is operational information of the General Staff as of 6 pm:   

On September 4, the russian army launched 5 missile and 68 air strikes, 42 MLRS attacks at the positions of Ukrainian troops and various settlements. Unfortunately, the russian terrorist attacks have killed and wounded civilians. Residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure were damaged. 

There is still a high threat of missile and air strikes across Ukraine.

During the day, there were 22 combat engagements.

Towards Volyn and Polissia, there were no significant changes. 

Towards Siversk and Sloboda, the invaders fired mortars and artillery at more than 15 settlements, including Karpovychi, Prohres (Chernihiv oblast), Nova Huta, Romashkove, Buhor, Malushyne (Sumy oblast), Udy, Vovchansk, Vovchanski Khutory, Hatyshche, Ohirtseve, Ternova (Kharkiv oblast).

Towards Kupiansk, the russian army launched an airstrike in the vicinity of Budarky (Kharkiv oblast). More than 10 settlements suffered enemy artillery fire, including Fyholivka, Dvorivhna, Kindrashivka, Synkivka, Kyslivka (Kharkiv oblast).

Towards Lyman, russian occupiers conducted unsuccessful offensives in the vicinities of Novoiehorivka and Bilohorivka (Luhansk oblast). The adversary launched air strikes in the vicinities of Bilohorivka (Luhansk oblast), Yampolivka and Spirne (Donetsk oblast). More than 10 settlements, including Nevs’ke, Bilohorivka (Luhansk oblast), Verkhn’okam’yans’ke, Spirne, Serebryanka, Rozdolivka (Donetsk oblast), were shelled with artillery.

Towards Bakhmut, Ukrainian Defenders successfully repelled russian attacks in the area north of Klishchiivka. The enemy launched an airstrike in the vicinity of Ivanivske (Donetsk oblast). More than 15 settlements, including Min’kivka, Vasyukivka, Bohdanivka, Chasiv Yar, Bila Hora, Pivnichne (Donetsk oblast), suffered artillery shelling. 

Towards Avdiivka, the enemy launched an airstrike in the vicinity of Avdiivka. The occupiers fired artillery and mortar shells at the settlements of Oleksandropil, Novokalynove, Keramik, Avdiivka, Pervomaiske, Sievierne (Donetsk oblast).

Towards Marinka, the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to hold back the russian offensive in the vicinity of Marinka (Donetsk oblast). The invaders launched an airstrike in the vicinity of Krasnohorivka. The invaders fired artillery at the settlements of Krasnohorivka, Mar’inka, Hostre, Novomykhailivka (Donetsk oblast).

Towards Shakhtarsk, the occupiers launched an airstrike in the vicinity of Vuhledar. More than 10 settlements, including Vuhledar, Vodyane, Shakhtars’ke, Novoukrainka, Urozhaine (Donetsk oblast), were shelled.

Towards Zaporizhzhia, the invaders launched airstrikes in the vicinities of Mala Tokmachka, Orikhiv, Robotyne, Stepnohirsk (Zaporizhzhia oblast). The enemy fired artillery at more than 15 settlements, including Novodarivka, Olhivske, Zaliznychne, Mala Tokmachka, Robotyne, Kam’yans’ke (Zaporizhzhia oblast).

Towards Kherson, the enemy launched air strikes in the vicinities of Tiahynka and Molodizhne. The settlement of Burhunka came under artillery and mortar fire.

Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to conduct the offensive operation on Melitopol axis, consolidating their positions and conducting counter-battery fire.

The Ukrainian Air Force launched 11 air strikes on buildups of russian troops, weapons, and military equipment, as well as 2 airstrikes on the anti-aircraft missile systems. 

Ukrainian rocket and artillery troops hit 11 artillery systems at their firing positions and 4 command posts of the adversary.

Deputy Defense Minister Hanna Malyar says that over the week, the Ukrainian Armed Forces liberated 3 more square km towards Bakhmut. In total, 47 square kilometers have been liberated during Ukraine’s counteroffensive near Bakhmut. 

Recent war events in the east of Ukraine

Illia Yevlash, Head of the Press Service of the Eastern Group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, reported that towards Lyman-Kupiansk, russian troops attacked Ukrainian military positions over 700 times using various artillery systems, shells and rockets, and launched 15 air strikes. The Armed Forces of Ukraine eliminated 67 russian soldiers, BPM-3, MSTA-S, four vehicles, an engineering vehicle and one ammunition depot.

Kharkiv oblast

Hanna Maliar, Deputy Minister of Defence of Ukraine, said that the Armed Forces of Ukraine are repelling several russian attacks a day towards Kupiansk and preventing russia from advancing. According to her, the number of russian attacks remains high.

A tractor of a local agricultural company exploded while working near Basove village at 11:30 am. Viktor Kovalenko, Head of Zolochiv City Military Administration, reported that the tractor driver is in a stable condition but the equipment was damaged.

Oleh Syniehubov, Head of Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, informed that russian invaders shelled Shyikivka village, Izium district, last night, around 2 am. The building of the canteen was damaged. There were no casualties.

Yesterday the enemy shelled settlements of Kharkiv, Bohodukhiv, Chuhuiv, Kupiansk and Izium regions.

A 59-year-old civilian man was injured and hospitalized as a result of shelling in Kupiansk. A commercial facility was destroyed in the city.

In Cherneshchyna village, Izium region, 2 private buildings were destroyed by a guided bomb.

In addition, Udy, Vovchansk, Hatyshche, Budarky, Vilkhuvatka and other settlements were under enemy attack. Civilian infrastructure was damaged and forest fires broke out.

Ihor Terekhov, Kharkiv Mayor, confirmed that after the first of September, another class was enrolled that will study in a mixed format, attending part of the lessons in the subway: there are 61 classes that will be taught in the “metro school”. According to Olha Demenko, Head of the City Department of Education, the class was formed of seven eleventh-graders. Additionally, seven more classes can be formed to study in the metro.

Donetsk oblast

Hanna Maliar, Deputy Minister of Defence of Ukraine, reported that Ukrainian troops liberated 3 square kilometres towards Bakhmut over the past week.

According to Donetsk Regional Military Administration, towards Volnovakha, buildings on two streets in Vesele and a warehouse in Shevchenko village of Komar community were damaged. In Vuhledar community, Vuhledar, Novoukrainka and Prechystivka were under attack.

Towards Donetsk, russians attacked Kurakhove and Vovchenka and there were isolated attacks on Avdiivka and the outskirts of Ocheretyne community.

Towards Horlivka, 7 buildings in Toretsk and a substation in Dyliivka were damaged. In Kostiantynivka community, the church in Oleksandro-Shultyne was damaged. In Chasiv Yar community, 2 private buildings, an industrial building and 5 garages were damaged.

Towards Lysychansk, russians shelled Lyman community 7 times and Siversk once.

Mykola Kovalenko, Head of Ocheretyne Village Military Administration, said that 116 children remain in the community. Also russian troops are constantly shelling the community’s settlements with all available weapons, including heavy artillery and MRLs.

Oleksandr Shevchenko, a public figure, stated that on 2 September, a powerful generator was installed in Novohrodivka City Hospital of Pokrovsk Community. It will ensure the operation of the medical facility in case of a blackout. According to him, the medical facility received the important device from philanthropists as humanitarian aid.

Two russian pilots, who were shot down and taken prisoner in Donetsk oblast, have been exchanged. One of them is retired Major Fedorchukov, whose attack aircraft was shot down on 18 June 2022 near Svitlodarsk. The other is Captain Semykin, a helicopter pilot who was captured near Volnovakha. The Main Directorate of Intelligence showed the questioning and details of the capture in the documentary “Downed russian Pilots”.

Referring to the National Resistance Centre, in the occupied territories of Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts, russian invaders called all so-called law enforcement officers back from their holidays to enhance the administrative regime for the period of the “elections”.

Luhansk oblast

According to Luhansk Regional Military Administration, the enemy has been storming our positions near Novoiehorivka since the middle of the week before last. The defense forces repel dozens of attacks a day and the enemy fails to advance. russian invaders only manage to lose strength and resources.

Bilohorivka was hit by aviation and artillery. The invaders also shelled Nevske with various artillery systems.

In Lysychansk, the invaders have set up a network of metal collection points, which is in demand. Firstly, russians destroyed a significant number of industrial facilities, providing plenty of opportunities to make money. Secondly, most people have evacuated from the city.

Hundreds of houses and thousands of apartments were left empty. Those who later return to their homes find that they don’t even have cutlery and gardening equipment, not to mention anything more valuable.

Military commissariats in the so-called ‘lpr’ received instructions to speed up the measures of forced mobilization. Therefore, during the voting, which has been delayed for 10 days, they check voters’ military records and verify the lists of those who can still be recruited. Some need to increase turnout, others need to increase recruitment.

In Cherkasy in August, 240 IDPs from Luhansk oblast received mattresses, pillows, bed linen and blankets. They also received 2,564 food parcels. Clothes were given to 567 resdents. Ukrposhta JSC registered 4,230 parcels for delivery. The International Organisation of Migration provided 192 packages of baby diapers and 22 packages for adults. The Right to Protection Charitable Foundation provided mattresses, pillows, bed linen, blankets, crockery and canisters. A lawyer, a psychologist, representatives of the Pension Fund of Ukraine and the Employment Centre, and a phthisiologist were operating. 39 IDPs received medicines from a nurse, 24 received glasses and prescriptions were issued under the Affordable Medicines programme. In Novomoskovsk, 2,117 food parcels were distributed. Clothes and toys were given to 137 people. Our IDPs in Kharkiv received 2,039 food parcels. 110 people aged 60+ and 12 children received thermal clothes. Family hygiene kits from the International Organisation of Migration were provided to 148 families. Clothes were provided to 52 IDPs. Three people reported about damaged or destroyed property. The activities of these hubs are managed by Popasna community.

What is happening now in the north of Ukraine

Kyiv oblast

According to the information provided by Kyiv RMA, Kyiv defense forces will conduct military exercises in one of the capital’s districts for four days. The purpose of the exercise is to improve combat capabilities during the preparation and execution of a defense operation.

The Ministry of Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Development reported that in Stoianka, all four lanes of the repaired bridge over the Irpin River on the M-06 Kyiv-Chop highway destroyed at the beginning of the russian full-scale invasion have been opened for traffic. This will increase the capacity of the bridge on one of the main transport arteries of Ukraine and improve communication between the settlements of Kyiv oblast.

The regional military administration reported that a first meeting of the IDP Council, created to provide comprehensive support to internally displaced persons in Kyiv oblast, was held. During the meeting, the main priorities were identified: solving the housing problems of internally displaced persons, employment and support for their businesses, legal and psychological support.

The 28th humanitarian aid from the German Foreign Ministry and Ukraine Art Aid Center was handed over to Ukrainian museum workers at St. Sophia of Kyiv. Overall, more than 500 Ukrainian museums have already received humanitarian aid, including those located in the frontline and border areas and affected by russian armed aggression.

British actor and writer Stephen Fry announced his arrival in the Ukrainian capital. According to the managers of the third First Ladies and Gentlemen Summit, he will be the host of the event, which will take place on September 6 in Kyiv. Fry has consistently supported Ukraine in its struggle for independence and sovereignty, and participated in the ShelterBox initiative, which collected donations to buy warm clothing and repair destroyed homes in order to help Ukrainians survive the winter.

According to Kyiv RMA, Kyiv police received threats that all secondary schools and colleges in the capital were rigged with bombs. After a thorough check, the information was found to be false.

According to the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine, Kyiv Symphony Orchestra took part in an anti-war concert held in Prague Castle under the patronage of Czech President Petr Pavel. The event took place on September 3 in the solemn Wladyslaw Hall of the Old Royal Palace, where Benjamin Britten’s War Requiem was performed by 220 musicians.

Zhytomyr oblast

Zhytomyr Humanitarian Hub handed over 35 Mavic 2 Enterprise Advance + Fly More kit drones to Ukrainian Air Assault Forces. Modern technology will allow our forces to track the enemy’s movements from a safe distance, locate equipment and manpower, and conduct surgical artillery strikes.

Vitalii Bunechko, Head of Zhytomyr Regional Military Administration, the German company Bayer is investing more than EUR 60 million to expand its facilities in Zhytomyr oblast. According to him, this will help create new jobs, increase tax revenues to the budget, as well as foreign exchange earnings, which is important for the Ukrainian economy in times of war.

Sumy oblast

As a result of russian shelling of Druzhba, Shostka region, a 47-year-old woman was wounded in her yard. According to the Prosecutor’s Office of Sumy oblast, the artillery shelling on civilian infrastructure in Druzhba took place on September 4 at about 8 a.m. from the territory of the russian federation. 7 private houses were damaged.

According to Sumy RMA, at night and in the morning, Seredyno-Buda, Putivl, and Druzhbivka communities came under enemy fire. russian troops opened fire 6 times at the border areas of the oblast. In total, there were 19 explosions recorded.

On September 3, the enemy shelled the border of Sumy oblast 20 times. 137 explosions were recorded. Khotin, Bilopillia, Krasnopillia, Znob-Novhorodske, Esman, Svesa, and Velykopysarivska communities were shelled. Private houses and outbuildings were damaged in Bilopillia community as a result of the shelling.

In Yampil, the funeral of 32-year-old investigator Ruslan Faraonov, who was killed on September 2 while documenting the shelling in Seredyno-Buda, was held. The russian military shelled the city again when the investigation team was working there. As a result of the shelling, Ruslan Faraonov sustained injuries incompatible with life, his colleagues were injured.

According to Sumy Oblast State Emergency Service, since the beginning of the year, there have been 524 incidents involving the discovery of explosive devices in the oblast. Over the past week, artillery shells, mortar shells, artillery and aircraft rockets, explosives and hand grenades were discovered in Sumy, Okhtyrka, Shostka, Romny, and Konotop regions.

Chernihiv oblast

According to the State Border Guard Service, russian forces fired 9 times at the border of Chernihiv region from their territory. There were 52 attacks from mortars and barrel artillery against Novhorod-Siversk, Semenivka, Horodnya, and Snovsk communities.

Owners of small businesses in Chernihiv that were affected by a russian missile strike on August 19 can apply for a grant program from the International Organization for Migration (IOM) and receive up to €4,500. Chernihiv City Council reported that the funds can be used to repair the premises or purchase damaged equipment. The grant program is funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) through the KfW Development Bank.

Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine

Dnipropetrovsk oblast

According to Mykola Lukashuk, Head of the regional council, the occupiers shelled Nikopol twice with unmanned aerial vehicles. A car was damaged. The third time they shelled Marhanets community with artillery. An infrastructure facility, 2 private houses, and a power line were damaged.

Serhii Lysak, Head of Dnipropetrovsk RMA, announced that during a morning drone attack on Dnipropetrovsk oblast, one of them hit Mezhova community in Synelnykove region. The debris of the downed UAV also fell there. A farm was damaged, and 1,500 tonnes of grain spoiled. 

Vinnytsia oblast

​​Vinnytsia zoo reported that crowned cranes and black squirrels were evacuated from zoos in Kharkiv and Zaporizhzhia oblasts. The cranes with a fluffy red crown over their heads can be seen in the open enclosure today. They have survived the transfer well and are getting used to the new conditions. 

Kirovohrad oblast

Senior Inspector for Special Assignments of the Human Rights Compliance Department of the National Police of Ukraine, Police Captain Mykola Sulzhuk reported that Kropyvnytskyi policemen found 79 torture chambers in the de-occupied territories of Ukraine.

Poltava oblast

According to Dmytro Lunin, Head of Poltava Regional Military Administration, Poltava resident with the call sign “Speaker” is one of the winners of a grant to develop his own business from the Ukrainian Veterans Fund. For several years, the man has been manufacturing mobile field simulators for training grenade launchers and operators of ATGMs and man-portable air defense systems. Participation in the ‘Varto’ programme is a chance to launch the production of training weapons for patriotic education clubs, training centres and volunteer battalions for training both in the field and indoors. 

According to Dmytro Lunin, Head of Poltava Regional Military Administration, Ukraine’s first educational and research centre for mental health has been launched in Poltava oblast. It was opened on the basis of Poltava State Medical University since the centre involves seven departments of the university. The goal is to teach people how to overcome stress and the consequences of trauma, and to prevent the development of mental and behavioural disorders. 

Cherkasy oblast

As reported by Ihor Taburets, Head of Cherkasy RMA, 3 groups of sapper rescuers from Cherkasy oblast have left for a rotation to the de-occupied territories. They will substitute their colleagues who have been working there for several months. 

Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine

Zaporizhzhia oblast

The Ukrainian Armed Forces continue their offensive operation towards Melitopol. Ukrainian troops have achieved success towards Novodanylivka and Novoprokopivka in Zaporizhzhia oblast. They are consolidating their positions on the achieved front lines.

Yesterday, the enemy conducted 104 artillery strikes on 30 settlements in Zaporizhzhia oblast. The russians launched a rocket strike on Verkhnia Tersa, shelled Chervone and Stepove with MLRS, and carried out six aerial attacks on Orikhiv. They also attacked Shcherbaky, Charivne, Olhivske, and Piatyhatky using drones (UAVs). Additionally, there were 88 artillery bombardments targeting areas such as Huliaipole, Zaliznychne, Novodanylivka, Pavlivka, Zatyshshia, Levadne, Bilohiria, Piatyhatky, Plavni, Lobkove, Stepnohirsk, and other frontline towns and villages. There have been  31 reports on destruction. A 51-year-old woman was injured as a result of an aviation strike on Orikhiv. Furthermore, a 68-year-old woman and a 71-year-old man were injured during an artillery shelling of Mala Tokmachka. They were transported to medical facilities.

More than 11K objects in Zaporizhzhia oblast have been included in the registry of property damaged or destroyed as a result of the armed aggression by the russian federation against Ukraine. Residents of Zaporizhzhia oblast have submitted nearly 700 applications as part of the compensation program for damaged housing. 165 families have received compensation totaling more than UAH 8 million, while another 120 families have received approximately UAH 7.6 million for repairing damaged housing.

Mykolaiv oblast

On September 4 at 1:43, a russian reconnaissance UAV of an unidentified type was destroyed in Mykolaiv oblast. On September 3 at 8:27, the enemy launched attacks on the coastal area of Ochakiv. At 9:35, the enemy conducted artillery shelling in the waters of Ochakiv community. At 12:42, enemy artillery targeted Kutsurub community. As reported by Mykolaiv RMA, there were no casualties

Mykolaiv Lyceum named after Oleh Olzhych collected funds and essential items for the defenders of the 59th brigade, fighting against russian occupiers on the Eastern front. They managed to raise UAH 13,100. With these funds, they purchased medicines, cleaning supplies, laundry detergents, hygiene kits, tea, coffee, mosquito repellents, instant soups, and four gas cylinders with burners.

The first 23 assistants to veterans completed their training as part of an experimental project in Mykolaiv. The graduation ceremony for the participants of a three-week course took place at the Petro Mohyla Black Sea National University on September 1. These graduates will now work in community service centers, where they will assist military personnel in transitioning to civilian life. Each assistant can be assigned to help approximately one hundred veterans. 

Odesa oblast

Tonight, russian occupiers once again attacked civilian infrastructure in the southern part of Odesa oblast. According to the National Police in Odessa oblast, preliminarily, there were no casualties. Warehouse buildings, agricultural equipment, and repair shops were damaged. Firefighters have extinguished the fires, and the police are currently at the scene. Law enforcement officers are conducting inspections of the damage, documenting the consequences of the enemy attack, and collecting material evidence of this latest crime committed by the russian federation.

During the night of September 4, while russia was launching attacks on Odesa oblast, russian UAVs crashed and detonated on the Romanian territory. This is further confirmation that russian missile terror poses a significant threat not only to Ukraine’s security but also to the security of neighboring countries, including NATO member states. This information was provided by the spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Oleh Nikolenko, referring to the State Border Guard Service.

As part of the First of September Without Flowers campaign, the lyceum in Znamianka, located in Berezivka region, collected UAH 35K to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Students have been participating in similar campaigns for the second year in a row, and encouraging others to join their initiative.

The Ukrainian Sea Ports authorities report that the infrastructure of Odesa seaport is planned to be restored and developed with the assistance of experts from American ports in South Louisiana and New Orleans. A corresponding memorandum of understanding has already been signed. 

Italy is eager to become a patron in the restoration of Odesa and the Odesa Transfiguration Cathedral, which suffered damage due to russian attacks. Work on finding appropriate economic and technical solutions for the restoration of this important historical site has already begun.

Odesa-based designer and street artist Vadym Luhovtsov (VAUD) dedicated his latest graffiti to the President of Poland, Andrzej Duda. His portrait is depicted against the backdrop of the Polish flag, and above it, it says, “Thank you!” in Polish and Ukrainian languages. The graffiti was symbolically created at the intersection of Kachynskoho (Polish) and Hretska streets.

Kherson oblast

Yesterday, the enemy carried out 57 shelling attacks, firing 271 shells from mortars, artillery, Grad rocket launchers, drones, and aviation. Lvove, Odradokamianka, and Olhivka were under enemy aviation attacks. The russians shelled Burhunka and Bilozerka with artillery fire. The enemy fired 10 shells at the city of Kherson. russian forces targeted residential areas of settlements in the region, a poultry farm building in Kherson region, an administrative building in Beryslav region, educational institutions, and a joint-stock company building in Kherson. Due to russian aggression, one person was killed, and 5 others wounded, including 1 child. An 11-year-old boy in the village of Soniachne was injured by enemy fire, suffering from a mine explosion and leg injuries. The police documented 20 war crimes committed by the russian army against the peaceful population of the right-bank of Kherson oblast.

The operational situation in the area of responsibility of the ‘South’ Operational Command remains tense but stable. There have been no significant changes in the state, composition, or nature of the enemy’s actions, and there are no signs of them forming offensive groups. South Ukrainian Defense Forces continue counter-battery combat while fulfilling their fire missions. Yesterday, Ukrainian defenders have eliminated 67 occupiers, 2 self-propelled artillery units Msta-S, 2 cannons, 4 pieces of automotive equipment, 1 small-sized boat KS-701 Tuna, and 1 boat, 2 reconnaissance drones, and 1 Lancet-type strike drone, 1 Murom-M video surveillance complex.

Oksana Pohomii, a deputy of Kherson City Council, reports that the third day of pseudo-elections in the temporary occupied part of Kherson oblast is proceeding like the previous two: so-called ‘mobile election commissions’ accompanied by armed russian military personnel conduct house-to-house visits and force people to vote. According to her, collaborators demand that people vote for the united russia party, even though there are several parties on the ballot.

Juvenile police officers evacuated a woman with two children from the most heavily shelled area of Kherson. A resident asked to be taken with her 3 and 13-year-old sons to a safe zone from the Korabel neighborhood. Juvenile prevention workers responded to the report and transported the family with maximum safety measures: they equipped the mother and children with protective helmets and vests before taking them in a specially equipped vehicle to a safer area.

Mobile clinic doctors visited several villages in Beryslav region, including Chervonyi Maiak, Monastyrske, Sablukivka, Chervonyi Yar, Krupytsia, and Stepne. In total, specialists conducted 171 consultations. In addition, residents of the villages received 248 individual home first-aid kits.

The residents of Bilozerka community received food kits and 4 pallets of various types of food. This is not the first time the aid is provided for the right-bank communities. Along with food, people receive drinking water in areas where centralized water supply has not yet been restored. Humanitarian shipments will continue as long as people need them.

40 cubic meters of drinking water were delivered to Novovorontsovka. Water tanks have been installed in the village, from which people can collect the necessary amount of clean water themselves. The containers are located at four locations, and today, several more tanks to be inspected for filling them with water.

Children from Kherson oblast will spend their autumn holidays in the Artek sanatorium in Zakarpattia. For three weeks, thirteen young residents of the region will be enjoying unique nature, mineral water springs, nature reserves, historical landmarks, and temples.

Volyn oblast

The RMA reported that preparations for the start of the 2023-2024 heating season are underway in Volyn. In particular, the readiness level is 83%.

Zakarpattia oblast

The RMA reported that Zakarpattia Regional Hospital named after Andrii Novak received words of thanks from the A4219 military unit and a flag with a signature from the 128th Mountain Assault Brigade.

Ivano-Frankivsk oblast

The RMA held a meeting with heads of structural divisions of RMA, regional departments, services and departments. They discussed the work of rehabilitation centers, support for IDPs, humanitarian aid from international benefactors, etc.

Lviv oblast

The RMA held a meeting with Davide La Cecilia, special envoy of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Italian Republic for reconstruction and strengthening the stability of Ukraine. They discussed reconstruction of affected territories of Ukraine and contributions that Italy plans to make in this direction.

The RMA reported that during the Strength in Unity bike ride in Strii region, over UAH 100K were collected to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

In Medenitsa community, socially vulnerable sections of the population were provided with humanitarian aid, namely, food and hygiene kits, from the Solidarites International organization.

Mykola Matiyev, military serviceman of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, from the village of Lybohori received the For Exemplary Service badge from the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.

Rivne oblast

Since the war began, there have been 479 air alarms in Rivne oblast. In August: a total of 37 alarms (14 alarms were in July); the longest alarm was recorded on August 30 (2 hours 40 minutes); the shortest alarm – August 25 (11 min); alarms were announced 6 times during the day on August 25; the maximum number of days without alarms is 4 days. The “mode of silence” lasted from August 11 (10:34) to August 15 (15:26).

A comprehensive program for married couples of veterans is being launched at Rivne Regional Clinical Medical and Diagnostic Center. Rehabilitation involves a comprehensive examination of spouses, diagnosis, treatment of concomitant diseases and assisted reproductive technologies (so-called artificial insemination). The risk of infertility in veterans after military service is twice that of the general population. And for many later, conceiving and having children without the help of reproductive medicine may become practically impossible. That is why the RMA will develop this direction in the oblast.

In Rivne Regional Specialized Dispensary for Radiation Protection of the Population, a project was presented, within the scope of which psychosocial services will be provided for military personnel and their families. Victims of hostilities will receive complex services free of charge.

Rivne once again hosts a delegation from the city of Essen (Germany). This is already the 11th visit of foreign partners to Ukraine with a humanitarian mission in Rivne. Benefactors brought a Ford Tranzit car, medicines, wheelchairs, crutches, an ultrasound machine, hospital couches, orthopedic equipment, clothes for adults and children.

Ternopil oblast

Since the war began, over 200 business entities from the oblasts where hostilities are taking place have been re-registered in Ternopil oblast. As part of the Government program, 60 enterprises were relocated.

The police of Ternopil received a report about the mining of 27 schools in the city. The relevant services are inspecting buildings.

Khmelnytskyi oblast

At the beginning of the academic year, 11 more safety classes were put into operation in educational institutions of Khmelnytskyi oblast. In total, there are already 36 such classes in the oblast.

Chernivtsi oblast

Chernivtsi Regional War Veterans Hospital received humanitarian aid, namely, medicines, food products and personal hygiene, from German partners. 

International support of Ukraine in the russian-Ukrainian war (russia’s invasion of Ukraine)

Oleksii Reznikov, Head of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, announced that during the full-scale invasion, Ukraine received $100 billion in military aid.

The US intends to transfer $1 billion of sanctioned russian assets to Ukraine. “We stopped flights in Switzerland and the Middle East. We arrested smugglers in Italy, Germany, and Latvia. We brought charges against those who laundered money in Great Britain. In this way, we showed that they will not be able to hide anything,” – said Lisa Monaco, US Deputy Attorney General.

Ukrzaliznytsia will receive EUR 100 mln for the restoration and modernization of infrastructure. These are loan funds from the European Investment Bank. The funds will be used for the construction, modernization and repair of railway infrastructure facilities, as well as for the purchase of freight cars and other means of transportation.

The Netherlands will provide grants to companies that plan to participate in the reconstruction of Ukraine. The program is called Ukraine Partnership Facility. This year, the budget of this program is EUR 25 mln.

David Jares, spokesman of the Ministry of Defense of the Czech Republic, announced that the country is sending a military attache to Moldova against the backdrop of russian aggression.

Nikol Pashinyan, Armenian Prime Minister, said that his country’s policy of relying exclusively on russia to guarantee its security was a strategic mistake.
