It has been the 1605  th day of the Ukrainian resistance to the russian military aggression. 

What happened in Ukraine today:

Here is operational information of the General Staff as of 4 pm:   

On 17 July, there were 229 combat engagements.

The enemy launched 68 airstrikes and dropped 175 guided aerial bombs. In addition, the enemy deployed 6,231 kamikaze drones and carried out 2,225 attacks on settlements and positions of Ukrainian troops.

Towards Northern Sloboda and Kursk, the Defense Forces successfully repelled two enemy attacks. The occupiers also carried out 42 attacks on positions of Ukrainian troops and settlements, including one from multiple launch rocket systems.

Towards Southern Sloboda, the enemy assaulted the positions of Ukrainian units 14 times near Vilcha, Kozacha Lopan, Lyman, Izbytske, and Synelnykove. Two engagements are still ongoing.

Towards Kupiansk today, the enemy carried out one assault on the positions of the Defense Forces towards the settlement of Shyikivka.

Sixteen attempts by the invaders to advance were repelled towards Lyman in the vicinity of the settlements of Novoselivka, Drobysheve, Lyman, Ozerne, and Yampil.

Towards Sloviansk, the Defense Forces successfully stopped 23 attempts by the invaders to move forward near Kryva Luka, Zakitne, Rai-Oleksandrivka, and Riznykivka.

Six enemy assaults were recorded towards Kramatorsk in the vicinity of Malynivka and Nykyforivka.

Towards Kostiantynivka, the Defense Forces repelled 13 enemy assaults near Kostiantynivka, Ivanopillia, Illinivka, and Rusyn Yar; another engagement is ongoing.

In total, the enemy carried out 34 attacks towards Pokrovsk. The occupiers tried to advance in the vicinity of the settlements of Sofiivka, Toretske, Bilytske, Novyi Donbas, Bilozerse, Shevchenko, Hryshyne, Myrne, Vasylivka, Serhiivka, Udachne, and Molodetske. Two engagements are ongoing.

According to preliminary estimates, 50 occupiers were killed and 11 were wounded here today; one artillery system, two units of motor vehicles, two units of special equipment, and one enemy drone control point were destroyed. One enemy artillery system and one unit of motor vehicles were damaged. 275 unmanned aerial vehicles of various types were destroyed or suppressed.

Ukrainian defenders repelled one attack by the occupiers towards Oleksandrivka in the vicinity of Berezove.

Twenty-two attacks by the occupiers were recorded towards Huliaipole in the vicinity of the settlements of Kosivtseve, Verkhnia Tersa, Tsvitkove, Hirke, Olenokostiantynivka, Vozdvizhivka, and Charivne. Two engagements are ongoing.

Towards Orikhiv, Ukrainian defenders repelled two enemy attacks in the vicinity of Novoandriivka and Prymorske.

There were no enemy offensive operations towards Kherson.

Recent war events in the east of Ukraine

Kharkiv oblast

Frontline

Over the past day, 249 combat engagements were recorded. Towards Southern Sloboda, russian troops attacked the positions of the Defense Forces 19 times in the vicinity of Starytsia and towards Izbytske, Kutkivka, Khatnye, Kozacha Lopan, Hoptivka, Radkivka, Vilcha, and Bereznyky. Towards Kupyansk, the occupiers carried out three assaults near Kolisnykivka and towards Kupyansk-Vuzlovyi and Novoplatonivka.

Shelling

Around 00:40, a russian drone attacked Zolochiv. A Nova Poshta parcel locker and a passenger car were damaged, reported Viktor Kovalenko, head of the Zolochiv Military Administration.

Around 09:10, russian troops struck Izium twice, provisionally with “Banderol” missiles. Hits were recorded in the vicinity of the Izium Optical and Mechanical Plant and the railway market. According to Izium Municipal Military Administration, there were no casualties.

In the morning, the russian army launched four strikes with KABs on the outskirts of the village of Myronivka, Zolochiv hromada. At least six residential buildings, farm buildings, and power grids were damaged. No information on casualties was received.

From 11:00 to 11:30, an FPV drone and a Molniya drone attacked the village of Kalynove, Zolochiv hromada. A private house, farm buildings, and a civilian car were damaged.

In Kharkiv, a “Molniya” drone hit an industrial zone in the Osnovianskyi district. According to Mayor Ihor Terekhov, there were no casualties.

According to Kharkiv oblast State Administration, over the past day, russian troops attacked Kharkiv and 23 settlements in the oblast. As a result of the shelling, one person was killed and 14 others were injured. The enemy used one missile, three “Geran-2” UAVs, 15 Molniya drones, nine FPV drones, and 27 drones of other types. Residential buildings, shops, cars, an emergency medical vehicle, buses, an educational institution, a grain elevator, civilian infrastructure facilities, as well as wheat and rye fields sustained damage.

The transit evacuation point in Lozova received 175 people over the day. In total, since the launch of the point, 46,128 people have been evacuated and registered.

Donetsk Oblast

Frontline

Over the past day, russian troops attacked the positions of the Defense Forces 23 times towards Sloviansk. Fighting continued towards Kryva Luka, Rai-Oleksandrivka, Pyskunivka, Mykolaivka, as well as in the vicinity of Riznykivka and Zakitne. Towards Pokrovsk, Ukrainian military repelled 37 attacks, and another 20 assaults were recorded towards Kostiantynivka.

Shelling

Around 02:50, russian troops attacked Kramatorsk. Provisionally, a child was injured, and an apartment building was damaged, the Donetsk oblast police reported.

In the morning, a russian FPV drone attacked a civilian car in the village of Iverske. Two people were killed and two others were injured, the Donetsk oblast Prosecutor’s Office reported.

According to the police, during July 16, russian troops launched 1,350 strikes against the frontline and the residential sector of Donetsk oblast. Eight settlements were under fire. One person was killed and 14 others were injured, including two children. 60 civilian objects were damaged, including 42 residential buildings.

The enemy launched 13 strikes against Kramatorsk, including eight air bomb strikes. 11 people were injured, including a boy born in 2020. Nine apartment buildings and 22 private houses, an educational institution, a post office, a cafe, an infrastructure facility, and four civilian cars were damaged.

In the village of Nadiya, a civilian was killed as a result of a “Lancet” UAV hit, and a truck was damaged. In Sloviansk, one person was injured as a result of strikes by a UMPB D-30 SN air bomb, a “Smerch” MLRS, and an FPV drone; seven private houses, a shop, and two cars were damaged. Another person was injured in Malotaranivka, where a garage was also damaged.

In Raihorodok, three private houses were damaged, in Druzhkivka — one home, in Manky — a tractor, in Spasko-Mykhailivka — a civilian car.

Evacuation by transport from Kostiantynivka has become impossible due to the security situation. According to the Donetsk oblast police, leaving the city is currently possible only on foot.

Luhansk oblast

In Luhansk oblast, russian troops carried out 25 attacks on the positions of the Defense Forces. 22 attacks using FPV drones and drone ammunition drops, as well as three mortar shellings, were recorded. Towards Lyman, the enemy tried to break through the Ukrainian defense ten times.

In temporarily occupied Luhansk oblast, the occupation administration is increasing pressure on socially vulnerable residents. In Lysychansk, representatives of the occupation authorities are conducting raids against so-called unauthorized trade; in particular, elderly women selling their own garden produce are being held accountable. For many female pensioners, such trade remains one of the few ways to cover basic needs due to low payouts, unemployment, and high prices.

The fuel crisis is also deepening in the seized territories. Due to the rising cost of fuel, carriers are raising tariffs on intercity routes, shifting additional costs onto passengers. The occupation administrations are not introducing compensation mechanisms and are actually refusing to regulate prices and support transport connections.

What is happening now in the north of Ukraine

Kyiv oblast

Kyiv RMA reported that during this week, 9 air raid alerts sounded in the capital. In total, their duration amounted to over 5 hours. As a result of the hostile russian attack on the night of July 11, there were 12 casualties in the capital, including two children. Damage and fires were recorded in several districts of the city. Due to the shelling on the night of July 16, two people were killed in the capital, and 6 residents were injured, including a 16-year-old boy. Fires broke out in Sviatoshynskyi and Darnytskyi districts as a result of hits.

Kyiv RMA reported that in Vyshhorod region on July 17, pyrotechnicians of the State Emergency Service will be destroying explosive objects. Because of this, sounds of explosions may be heard in the communities of the oblast.

The RMA reported that seventy housing purchase certificates were presented to war veterans and family members of fallen Defenders in Kyiv oblast. This year, nearly 649 million UAH of subvention was allocated to the oblast from the state budget. This will make it possible to purchase own housing for 240 families of veterans and families of fallen defenders.

During a visit to Kyiv, Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Keir Starmer attended a friendly amputee football match between the veteran teams “Shakhtar Stalevi” (Donetsk) and “Kolos-Burevii” from Kyiv oblast. During the game, Keir Starmer spoke with the veterans and their families, enquired about the stories of the military personnel, their rehabilitation, and how sports help them return to an active civilian life, the Ministry of Veterans Affairs reported.

Zhytomyr oblast

The RMA reports that short-term activations of electric sirens are possible in Zhytomyr throughout the day on July 17. Technical work to check and repair the public warning system is ongoing.

Sumy oblast

Sumy City Military Administration reported that during the night of 17 July, the russian army attacked Sumy by five guided aerial bombs, with two of the strikes hitting the city centre. Six residential and six non-residential properties were damaged, including apartment buildings, private residential houses, administrative buildings, offices, shops, a library, cafés and vehicles. A total of 268 windows were shattered and two roofs were damaged.

The guided aerial bomb attack on Sumy on 17 July also damaged the building and premises of the Regional Universal Scientific Library. Photographs of fallen Ukrainian defenders displayed on the Alley of Remembrance in the city centre were damaged. The office of local media outlet Kordon.Media was also damaged. No staff members were injured.

The Regional Military Administration informed that on the evening of 16 July, russian forces carried out four guided aerial bomb strikes on a private residential area on the outskirts of Sumy. Two people sought medical assistance: a woman suffering from an acute stress reaction and a man with injuries. Around 10 households were preliminarily reported damaged. Later that evening, a russian UAV struck an administrative building in the city centre, injuring one person.

Three people were injured in a multiple launch rocket system attack on Stetskivka Starosta District on 16 July. One man was hospitalised, while another man and a woman are receiving outpatient treatment.

According to Sumyoblenergo, large-scale power outages continue across Sumy oblast due to russia’s armed aggression. The energy company also warned of possible voltage fluctuations.

The Regional Military Administration reported that from the morning of 16 July to the morning of 17 July, russian forces carried out more than 50 attacks on 30 settlements across 15 territorial communities in the oblast. The highest number of attacks was recorded in Sumy and Shostka regions. The enemy used mortars, artillery, FPV drones, UAVs and guided aerial bombs. Air raid alerts were in effect in the oblast for 19 hours and 30 minutes over the 24-hour period.

The Regional Military Administration informed that, as of the morning of 17 July, 11 residents had been injured in enemy attacks across Sumy oblast over the previous day. Destruction and damage were also recorded:

▪️ In Sumy City community, three people were injured in a multiple launch rocket system attack. A 28-year-old man was injured in a UAV strike. A 71-year-old man was injured and a 69-year-old woman was affected in evening guided aerial bomb strikes on Sumy. A woman who had been hospitalised following a guided aerial bomb strike on 3 July died in hospital. Administrative buildings, office buildings, library premises, shops, apartment buildings, private residential houses, residential and non-residential properties, outbuildings and passenger cars were damaged.

▪️ In Shostka City community, a 29-year-old woman and a 38-year-old man were injured in a russian UAV strike near a shop.

▪️ In Bilopillia community, a 60-year-old woman was injured in a russian UAV strike. An apartment building, a private residential house, an outbuilding, non-residential premises and a passenger car were damaged.

▪️ A four-year-old girl was injured when a UAV struck near a vehicle on Sumy–Bilany road.

▪️ In Seredyna-Buda community, a 55-year-old man was injured in a mortar attack. One private residential house was destroyed and another was damaged. Two women sought medical treatment for injuries sustained during mortar attacks on the community on 15 July.

▪️ In Stepanivka community, non-residential premises and civilian infrastructure facilities were damaged.

▪️ In Richky community, civilian infrastructure facilities, private residential houses and an outbuilding were damaged.

▪️ In Krasnopillia community, a civilian infrastructure facility was damaged.

▪️ In Buryn community, a private residential house was damaged.

▪️ In Nova Slobidka community, private residential houses were destroyed.

▪️ In Khutir-Mykhailivska community, a lorry was damaged.

▪️ In Velyka Pysarivka community, a private residential house was damaged.

▪️ In Znob-Novhorodske community, private residential houses and outbuildings were damaged.

▪️ In Nedryhailiv community, civilian infrastructure facilities were damaged.

▪️ In Yampil community, a civilian infrastructure facility was damaged.

▪️ In Shalyhyne community, a civilian infrastructure facility was damaged.

The Regional Military Administration clarified that four women were injured on 16 July when a russian UAV struck a house in Richky community. Their details had been mistakenly included among the casualties in Sumy City community. Residential houses, outbuildings and property previously damaged in earlier attacks were also recorded in Seredyna-Buda, Esman, Shostka, Znob-Novhorodske and Hlukhiv communities.

According to the Regional Military Administration, Sumy oblast will receive 100 generators to ensure the operation of critical infrastructure. The first 28 have already arrived as humanitarian aid from Spain, with additional deliveries expected.

The Regional Military Administration also announced that more than 50 employees of petrol stations across Sumy oblast have completed first aid training. New training groups are now being formed, and petrol station operators are being encouraged to enrol their staff. Procedures have also been established to enable people to leave premises in advance and move to a safe distance or shelter in the event of a shelling threat.

Chernihiv oblast

Oleksandr Seliverstov, Head of Novhorod-Siverskyi Regional Military Administration, reported that russian forces attacked the settlement of Korop for the second time on 17 July. At around 4:55pm, a russian UAV crashed onto the grounds of a private household, damaging a residential house, a civilian vehicle and outbuildings. Earlier, at around 2:00pm, the enemy struck a civilian infrastructure facility in Korop.

Dmytro Bryzhynskyi, Head of Chernihiv City Military Administration, said that three explosions were heard in Chernihiv during a russian UAV attack on 17 July. A Shahed UAV crashed in a private residential area.

Chernihivoblenergo informed that more than 13,000 consumers in Chernihiv and Koriukivka regions were left without electricity following the russian attack on 17 July. Power engineers are working to restore electricity supplies.

Enemy forces attacked the territory of the starosta district in the border village of Chaikyne, where Ukraine’s second president, Leonid Kuchma, was born, with two UAVs on 17 July. The attack damaged an administrative building.

According to Oleksandr Seliverstov, Head of Novhorod-Siverskyi Regional Military Administration, at around 10:00am on 17 July, russian forces attacked a residential area in Pushkari village by a UAV. Three residential houses were damaged and an outbuilding caught fire.

During the night of 17 July, russian forces struck Chornyi Rih village in Semenivka community with a jet-powered UAV. The attack caused a fire that destroyed a grain drying complex and other buildings belonging to a local private agricultural enterprise.

Oleksandr Seliverstov, Head of Novhorod-Siverskyi Regional Military Administration, reported that two russian UAV strikes were recorded in the village of Liskonohy at around 7:20pm and 7:50pm on 16 July. One of the drones hit a school building, while the other struck elsewhere in the village.

Pavlo Miroshnychenko, Head of Koriukivka Regional Military Administration, said that medics provided assistance to two more people injured in russian attacks on Koriukivka region on 16 July. Two women, employees of one of the town’s enterprises, were wounded in the russian attack on Koriukivka.

Viacheslav Chaus, Head of the Regional Military Administration, informed that on the evening of 16 July, the enemy attacked an enterprise in Mena. A 38-year-old employee sought medical assistance following the strike. Equipment and residential property were also damaged, and the fire was extinguished.

According to Chernihiv Border Guard Detachment, on 16 July, russian forces attacked three border communities in Chernihiv oblast: Novhorod-Siverskyi, Semenivka and Snovsk. The enemy carried out mortar attacks (11 explosions), tube artillery strikes (4 explosions), FPV drone attacks (11 explosions), a Shahed jet-powered UAV strike (1 explosion), and dropped explosive devices from UAVs (6 explosions). A total of 10 settlements came under enemy fire.

Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine

Dnipropetrovsk oblast

Mykola Lukashuk, Head of Dnipropetrovsk Regional Council, reported that russian forces attacked the regional centre, Marhanets, Pokrovske rural and Chervonohryhorivka communities by drones, UAVs and artillery.

A fire broke out. A private enterprise, a post office and a petrol station were damaged. In Dnipro, a UAV attack on the previous evening caused a fire and damaged an enterprise. russian forces also attacked Hrushivka and Zelenodolsk communities by FPV drones. One person was injured. A fire broke out, damaging three lorries and a tractor.

Nine people were injured. The enemy attacked the regional centre, Chervonohryhorivka, Marhanets and Pokrovske rural communities by UAVs. Scheduled buses, an apartment building, two private residential houses, two outbuildings, vehicles and infrastructure were damaged.

A UAV attack in Petropavlivka community caused a fire. A disused building and a power line were damaged.

Vasylkivka community was struck by three guided aerial bombs. Five private residential houses, 12 outbuildings and a power line were damaged.

A UAV attack in Synelnykove caused a fire. In Dnipro, another UAV attack also caused a fire and damaged an enterprise.

Vinnytsia oblast

Awareness rallies in support of Ukrainian prisoners of war and missing defenders were held in Nemyriv and Yampil, Vinnytsia oblast. Families of service members called on the public not to forget those whose fate remains unknown and to continue efforts to locate and secure their return. 

Poltava oblast

Poltava Regional Military Administration informed that air defence forces were operating in Poltava region in the morning. Debris from an enemy UAV fell onto the grounds of a private household in the region, damaging the roof and windows of a residential house. 

Cherkasy oblast

Ihor Taburets, Head of Cherkasy Regional Military Administration, said that air defence forces shot down two russian UAVs over Cherkasy oblast during the night. 

Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine

Zaporizhzhia oblast

Zaporizhzhia RMA reported that yesterday russian forces launched 863 attacks across the settlements of Zaporizhzhia oblast. russian forces carried out 33 airstrikes on Zaporizhzhia, Malokaterynivka, Trudove, Lystivka, Dubovyi Hai, Rozivka, Barvinivka, Zirnytsia, Nizhenka, Vasylkove, Yurkivka, Smailivka, Rybalske, Yasna Poliana, Preobrazhenka, Danylivka, Tymoshivka, Shyroke, Chervona Krynytsia, Omelnyk, Chervonyi Yar, Novosoloshyne, Novopavlivka, Soniachne, and Yehorivka. 551 drones of various types, mostly FPV drones, targeted Zaporizhzhia, Vilniansk, Malokaterynivka, Trudove, Bilenke, Rozumivka, Kanivske, Richne, Novoiakovlivka, Ternivka, Hryhorivka, Matviivka, Tavriiske, Stepnohirsk, Prymorske, Stepove, Pavlivka, Lukianivske, Mali Shcherbaky, Orikhiv, Zaliznychne, Shcherbaky, Novoandriivka, Novodanylivka, Mala Tokmachka, Bilohiria, Luhivske, Charivne, Novoselivka, Huliaipilske, Hirke, Staroukrainka, Sviatopetrivka, Verkhnia Tersa, Vozdvyzhivka, Tsvitkove, and Kosivtseve. Two MLRS attacks were recorded on Novoiakovlivka. russian forces also carried out 267 artillery strikes on Richne, Novoiakovlivka, Stepnohirsk, Prymorske, Stepove, Pavlivka, Lukianivske, Mali Shcherbaky, Orikhiv, Zaliznychne, Shcherbaky, Novodanylivka, Mala Tokmachka, Bilohiria, Luhivske, Charivne, Novoselivka, Huliaipilske, Hirke, Staroukrainka, Sviatopetrivka, Verkhnia Tersa, Vozdvyzhivka, Tsvitkove, and Kosivtseve. Authorities received 111 reports of damage to infrastructure, homes, vehicles, and utility buildings. Three people were killed and five others, including four children, were injured as a result of russian strikes on Zaporizhzhia and Zaporizhzhia region.

The General Staff reported that as of 4:00 pm on 17 July, russian forces launched 17 attacks towards Huliaipole in the areas of Tsvitkove, Hirke, Olenokostiantynivka, Vozdvyzhivka, and Charivne. Four combat engagements were still ongoing. Ukrainian defenders repelled two russian attempts to advance near Novoandriivka and Prymorske towards Orikhiv.

Mykolaiv oblast

On the morning of 17 July, russian forces attacked Mykolaiv with Shahed drones. According to Mykolaiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office, three civilian vessels flying foreign flags were damaged. People were on board one of the ships, and two Ukrainian citizens were killed.

Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration reported that on 16 July, a 48-year-old man who had been injured in an MLRS strike on the city of Ochakiv died in hospital. A 65-year-old man who had been wounded in a Shahed drone attack on Novyi Buh community also died from his injuries.

Odesa oblast

On 17 July, russian forces attacked Odesa region three times. The first strike took place in the morning, when russia launched missiles at Odesa. Two people were injured, a vehicle service station was damaged, and several parked cars caught fire. The second attack occurred between 1:54 pm and 2:11 pm. According to Odesa Regional Military Administration, a 60-year-old man was killed. The third attack took place at around 4:00 pm. According to Odesa RMA, a two-story administrative building was damaged, and a warehouse was destroyed and caught fire. In addition, 13 passenger vehicles were damaged in the attack.

Odesa Regional Prosecutor’s Office reported that on the evening of 16 July, russian forces once again launched missile strikes on civilian infrastructure in Odesa. The attack damaged a kindergarten, two apartment buildings, a three-story residential building, a five-story residential building, a church, a public park, and seven parked passenger vehicles. Two people were killed at the scene. According to Odesa Regional Military Administration, 11 people were injured, including children.

Kherson oblast

Kherson Regional Military Administration reported that at around 2:40 pm on 17 July, russian forces attacked a vehicle with a drone in central Kherson. The vehicle was destroyed by fire as a result of the strike. A 68-year-old man sustained a brain contusion, head wounds, blast injuries, and an open traumatic brain injury.

At around 2:30 pm, russian forces attacked Kherson’s Dniprovskyi district with a drone. A 55-year-old man sustained blast injuries and shrapnel wounds to his legs.

At approximately 12:40 pm, russian forces attacked Khreshchenivka in Novovorontsovka community with a drone. A 41-year-old man riding a scooter sustained a concussion, blast injuries, and a closed traumatic brain injury.

At approximately 9:50 am, russian forces struck a residential building in Novovorontsovka with a drone. A 46-year-old woman sustained shrapnel wounds to her leg, a concussion, blast injuries, and a closed traumatic brain injury.

At around 9:30 am, russian forces attacked Kherson’s Dniprovskyi district with a drone. One person was killed, and six others were injured.

At around 9:00 am, russian forces attacked a man with a drone near Pryozerne. The 66-year-old resident sustained blast injuries and a concussion.

At around 7:00 am, russian forces shelled a house in Kherson’s Korabelnyi district. An elderly woman who had been injured in the attack later died in hospital.

According to Kherson Regional Military Administration, two people sought medical assistance today after being injured in previous russian attacks. A 70-year-old Kherson resident who had been attacked by a russian drone in Dniprovskyi district the previous afternoon sustained blast injuries, a concussion, and an acute stress reaction. A 41-year-old Kherson resident who had also been injured in a russian drone strike in Dniprovskyi district was diagnosed with blast injuries and a concussion.

The Police of Kherson oblast reported that yesterday, 16 July, russian attacks targeted Kherson, Antonivka, Mykilske, Kizomys, Inzhenerne, Komyshany, Sadove, Blahovishchenske, Stanislav, Oleksandrivka, Shyroka Balka, Sofiivka, Bilozerka, Dniprovske, Veletenske, Novodmytrivka, Tomyna Balka, Romashkove, Doslidne, Beryslav, Krasnosilske, Sahaidachne, Novovoskresenske, Urozhaine, Novosilka, Petropavlivka, Novovorontsovka, Shevchenkivka, Nova Kamianka, Vysoke, Virivka, Matrosivka, Lvivski Otruby, Kozatske, and Vesele. The attacks damaged six apartment buildings, a critical infrastructure facility, an administrative building, an industrial facility, an educational institution, two emergency ambulances, six civilian vehicles, two buses, and a moped. One person was killed, and seven others were injured as a result of russian aggression.

Kherson Regional Defense Council expanded the list of areas subject to mandatory evacuation due to the deteriorating security situation. According to the head of Kherson Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Prokudin, mandatory evacuation and a ban on families with children entering the area will now apply to residents of Charivne, Zelenivka, and the settlements within Khreshchenivka starosta district. In Kherson, the list was also expanded to include Tekstylnyi neighborhood and certain streets in Tsentralnyi, Korabelnyi, and Dniprovskyi districts.

Volyn oblast

An external passenger elevator has been put into operation at Kamin-Kashyr Central Regional Hospital. UAH 5m was allocated from the regional budget for the work. The total cost of the reconstruction was over UAH 6.8m. The remaining funds were financed by the local budget and the hospital itself.

Zakarpattia oblast

The RMA reported that Private Ruslan Toropov was awarded with the III degree Order of Courage (posthumously).

Ivano-Frankivsk oblast

The RMA reported that Vampire unmanned aerial vehicles with a total value of almost UAH 1.8m were transferred for the needs of the 50th Semyon Vysochan Regiment of the National Guard of Ukraine.

Lviv oblast

The RMA reported that Archbishop Paul Richard Gallagher, Secretary of the Holy See for Relations with States and International Organizations, visited Lviv.

Rivne oblast

Thanks to a state subsidy of UAH 175.5m, which was received in the region in June, veterans with disabilities of groups I–II and families of deceased servicemen receive funds to purchase apartments. 63 families of Defenders from Rivne oblast will be able to purchase housing.

Ternopil oblast

10 children from Ternopil oblast and 10 children from Ternopil went to the Republic of Lithuania for summer vacation. The trip is part of an initiative implemented by the Strong Together Lithuanian CF in cooperation with the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Lithuania in Ternopil.

Khmelnytskyi oblast

Khmelnytskyi City Council held a meeting with a delegation from the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA): Yusuke Ogawa, Head of the JICA Representative Office in Ukraine Osamu Hattori, representative of the JICA Office in Ukraine, and Alyona Tkach, project specialist of the JICA Representative Office in Ukraine. They discussed the implementation of a joint project to install heat pumps in preschool education institution №3 Firefly.

Chernivtsi oblast

In Shebutyntsyш, they said goodbye to Vadym Kozak, Sergeant of the Military Unit A1302, who was killed defending Ukraine.

International support of Ukraine in the russian-Ukrainian war (russia’s invasion of Ukraine)

The EU Council has imposed sanctions on 5 companies and their managers for the massive strikes on Kyiv on 1 and 5 July. Companies of the ABS Electro group develop and produce electronic and radio-electronic components for drones. They are involved in the creation of systems that increase the resistance of russian UAVs, such as the Shahed and Heran, to electronic warfare. Several companies of the group produce automated control systems for the russian energy sector, which is a significant source of income for the russian authorities.
