It has been the 556th day of the Ukrainian resistance to the russian military aggression. 

What happened in Ukraine today:

Here is operational information of the General Staff as of 6 pm:  

On September 2, the enemy launched 2 missile and 34 air strikes, 42 MLRS attacks at the positions of Ukrainian troops and peaceful settlements. Unfortunately, russian terrorist attacks have killed and wounded civilians. Residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure were damaged. 

There is still a high threat of missile and air strikes across Ukraine.

There were 15 combat clashes during the day.

Towards Volyn and Polissia, there were no significant changes. 

Towards Siversk and Sloboda, the invaders launched an airstrike in the vicinity of Chuhunivka (Kharkiv oblast). More than 20 settlements, including Khrinivka, Karpovychi, Leonivka (Chernihiv oblast), Ukrainske, Shalyhyne, Kostiantynivka, Veselivka, Riasne, Hrabovske (Sumy oblast), Kozacha Lopan, Ohirtseve, Vovchanski Khutory, Varvarivka, Potykhonove (Kharkiv oblast) were shelled.

Towards Kupiansk, the settlements of Kamianka and Berestove suffered from artillery shelling.

Towards Lyman, the occupiers conducted unsuccessful offensives in the vicinity of Novoiehorivka (Luhansk oblast). There were airstrikes in the vicinities of Cherneshchyna (Kharkiv oblast), Novoiehorivka and Bilohorivka (Luhansk oblast). The enemy fired artillery at more than 10 settlements, including Makiivka, Nevske, Bilohorivka (Luhansk oblast), Yampolivka, Dronivka, Verkhnekamianske, Vyimka, Vesele, Pryvillya (Donetsk oblast).

Towards Bakhmut, more than 15 settlements, including Vasiukivka, Hryhorivka, Chasiv Yar, Stupochky, Predtechyne, Kurdiumivka (Donetsk oblast), suffered from enemy artillery shelling.

Towards Avdiivka, the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensives in the vicinity of Sievierne (Donetsk oblast). Karlivka, Novokalynove, Avdiivka, Pervomaiske, Stepove (Donetsk oblast) were shelled.

Towards Marinka, the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensives in the vicinities of Krasnohorivka and Novomykhailivka (Donetsk oblast). The settlements of Oleksandropil, Heorhiivka, Pobieda, Kostyantynivka, and Yelyzavetivka (Donetsk oblast) suffered from the enemy artillery shelling.

Towards Shakhtarske, there were airstrikes in the vicinities of Vuhledar and Staromaiorske (Donetsk oblast). The enemy fired artillery at more than 10 settlements, including Vodiane, Prechystivka, Velyka Novosilka, Staromaiorske, Novosilka, and Zelene Pole (Donetsk oblast).

Towards Zaporizhzhia, there were airstrikes in the vicinities of Mala Tokmachka, Novodanylivka, Robotyne (Zaporizhzhia oblast). 15 settlements were shelled, including Levadne, Malynivka, Huliaipole, Novodanylivka, Mali Shcherbaky, Piatykhatky (Zaporizhzhia oblast), and Nikopol (Dnipropetrovsk oblast).

Towards Kherson, the enemy shelled more than 10 settlements, including Mykhailivka, Novoberyslav, Mykolaivka, Tyahynka, Kherson, and Pervomaiske (Kherson oblast).

Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to conduct the offensive operation towards Melitopol, consolidating their positions and conducting counter-battery fire.

Ukrainian Air Force launched 9 air strikes on buildups of russian troops, weapons, and military equipment, as well as 2 airstrikes on the anti-aircraft missile systems.

Ukrainian rocket and artillery troops hit 5 buildups of troops, weapons, and military equipment, 12 artillery systems at their firing positions, 2 command posts, 2 ammunition depots, and 1 anti-aircraft missile system of the occupiers.

Kherson Regional State Administration reports that 11 more children, aged 2 to 16, illegally detained by russia in the temporarily occupied territories of Kherson region were returned. 

Dmytro Lubinets, Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights, reports that since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, russia has adopted 386 Ukrainian children. 

Recent war events in the east of Ukraine

Kharkiv oblast

According to British Intelligence, russian troops are likely trying to distract Ukraine from a counter-offensive in the south by dividing their forces between Orikhiv and Kupiansk. According to them, russia risks dividing its forces in an attempt to prevent a Ukrainian breakthrough.

Oleh Syniehubov, Head of Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, reported that russian invaders attacked with artillery, mortars and other weapons civilians in Kharkiv, Chuhuiv, Kupiansk and Izium regions yesterday.

As a result of shelling in Vovchanski Khutory village, Chuhuiv region, a private building was damaged and a 60-year-old man killed.

A 73-year-old woman was injured in Vovchansk as a result of artillery shelling. She was hospitalized in a moderate condition.

In Senkove village, Kupiansk region, grass and bushes were on fire because of hostile shelling. A forest fire broke out over an area of 2.5 hectares in Hlushkivka village, Kupiansk region. A forest fire also broke out in Shyikivka, Izium region, as a result of shelling.

Mine clearance is ongoing. Yesterday pyrotechnics of the State Emergency Service examined more than 5.6 hectares of territory and defused 68 explosive ordnance.

The Ministry of Energy of Ukraine informed that almost 10K consumers in Kharkiv oblast are without power as a result of shelling as russians damaged a 110 kV power line. They also noted that repairs will begin when the hostilities in the area cease.

The Regional Department of the State Emergency Service reported that rescuers recorded four fires in Kharkiv ecosystems that started after russian shelling. During one of the two fires near Shyikivka, Borove community, there was a danger of fire spreading to a gas production facility but firefighters extinguished the fire under the threat of repeated shelling.

Andrii Besedin, Head of Kupiansk City Military Administration, stated that more than 4K people refused to be evacuated from Kupiansk community and more than 700 residents left. According to him, people most often justify their refusal to evacuate by domestic reasons, they do not want to leave their homes and farms. Besedin noted that more than 400 children still remain there.

In August, 43 defenders from Kharkiv oblast were killed. The deaths of Ukrainian defenders were officially reported by communities or universities.

Kharkiv oblast said goodbye to 23-year-old military pilot Ivan Yarovyi. He was one of six crew members who died near Bakhmut as a result of the crash of two helicopters.

Donetsk oblast

According to Donetsk Regional Military Administration, towards Volnovakha, Vuhledar and Novoukrainka were under attacks, with no casualties.

Towards Donetsk, 1 building was destroyed, 10 more and a church damaged in Hrodivka community. Four streets were targeted in Krasnohorivka. In Kurakhove community, the outskirts of Kurakhove, Hostre and Dachne were shelled.

Towards Horlivka, 2 buildings were damaged in Toretsk community: in Toretsk and Petrivka, while Niu-York was attacked. In Chasiv Yar community, 5 buildings were damaged.

Towards Lysychansk, 3 buildings and a non-residential building were damaged in Siversk. A building was destroyed in Zarichne of Lyman community.

Referring to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, towards Volnovakha, representatives of the occupation administration are threatening families, who refuse to send their children to school, with deprivation of parental rights.

In Donetsk oblast, over the past year and a half, russian troops have destroyed 158 educational institutions and damaged another 609. More than 92K school students have started studying in 275 schools in the region.

Mariupol City Council said that during the full-scale russian invasion of Mariupol, the invaders destroyed 180K books and four libraries. Before the full-scale invasion, the library fund of Mariupol had 360K books. Previously, 50% of the books were burnt during the shelling.

The humanitarian aid was delivered to Avdiivka residents by the White Angels police crew, who arrived in the old part of the city – the industrial zone, which is half a kilometre away from the area where the fighting is ongoing. Donetsk police reported that, despite the constant russian shelling, just under a hundred people live in the old part of Avdiivka. Most of them are elderly and there is an injured man among them.

The soldier of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and writer Vitalii Zapeka talked to children in Kurakhove and inspired them to create a library. He gifted his books and in a few weeks they were sent to Donetsk oblast from different regions of the country. Today, the children’s library has about a thousand books. There are six directors: the youngest, Yeva, is 6 years old, and the oldest, Liza, is fourteen. The initiator of the library, Vitalii Zapeka, says that there are few places, at least in Ukraine, where there is a library run by children.

Luhansk oblast

According to Luhansk Regional Military Administration, over the past two weeks, the enemy has been attacking exclusively Novoiehorivka and their activity was sporadically observed near Bilohorivka but yesterday the attacks were in another part of the frontline: north of Svatove as russians tried to advance towards Novoselivske. The enemy was actively using aviation near the above-mentioned settlements. Makiivka, Nevske and Bilohorivka suffered from enemy artillery shelling.

On 30 August, HUR MO officers in cooperation with the soldiers of the separate Omega Special Forces detachment destroyed three pieces of russian military equipment, a 9C18 Kupol target detection station, a 9K37 surface-to-air missile launcher and a Buk missile system, in the occupied part of Luhansk oblast near Svatove.

They discovered the enemy military equipment while it was moving along dirt roads outside the settlement, after which they struck the targets with kamikaze drones.

For nine years, Alchevsk has been occupied by russia but even the measures of forced passportisation have not managed to cover the entire population. For instance, only 438 elderly and disabled locals, who were visited by mobile teams, received russian passports. Meanwhile, employees of 329 polling stations in the regions of russian federation are actively searching for people who have registration in Luhansk oblast and calling for voting.

Roman Vlasenko, Head of Sievierodonetsk Regional Military Administration, reported that a lot of election-related activities are taking place in the occupied territories. In order to increase the turnout and search for voters, accompanied by the russian military, the so-called early voting within the framework of the ‘first elections’ is to begin there today. The lists of candidates include many people unknown to local residents.

Based on the information provided by Luhansk RMA, during the 2023-2024 academic year, 6303 students will study in 24 general secondary education institutions. Of these, 202 are first-graders and 417 are eleventh-graders. They will be taught by 486 teachers from Lysychansk community. The educational process will be online.

On 31 August, the Ministry of Education and Science gave 70 pieces of computer equipment to 10 lyceums in Luhansk oblast from the Permanent Establishment of Ukraine to the International Organisations in Vienna.

What is happening now in the north of Ukraine

Kyiv oblast

According to the RMA, 42 families from Kyiv oblast received new apartments as part of the regional program New Home. These are families with many children and families with children and pregnant women; families with men who are in the ranks of the Ukrainian Armed Forces or in russian captivity; families who lost relatives because of the russian federation’s invasion of Ukraine. Their housing cannot be restored by means of regular overhaul or reconstruction, or it is economically unfeasible.

Self-defense training for women was held today in an open space in Taras Shevchenko Park in Kyiv. The event was arranged by the NGO Ukrainian Women’s Guard to teach women self-defense techniques, socially unite Ukrainian women and support them during the war. The women practiced defense stances and self-defense exercises with the instructor, Sensei Viktor Kraevsky.

According to Andrii Nebytov, Head of the regional police, a local resident of Bucha, who has not been home since the beginning of the russian invasion, found a grenade in his garage. Law enforcers found a tripwire that was wedged between two plastic hangers. EOD specialists disposed of a munition.

According to the information provided by the press service of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, the university unveiled memorial plaques to three fallen graduates of the Faculty of Sociology and Law who defended the country during the russian invasion.

According to Kyiv City State Administration, almost UAH 133 million will be additionally allocated to design civil protection facilities and repair shelters in educational institutions in Kyiv. The relevant amendments to the Program of Economic and Social Development of Kyiv for 2021-2023 for the current year were approved by the city deputies at a meeting.

Kyiv Regional Military Administration reported that preparations of heat supply, water and sewerage, housing, road and bridge facilities for the autumn-winter period continue in Kyiv oblast. They are 75% ready.

Zhytomyr oblast

The police of Zhytomyr oblast reported that for over a month now, police EOD teams from Zhytomyr oblast have been clearing the de-occupied territories of Kharkiv oblast from dangerous items. Hundreds of square kilometers, where life was vibrant until recently, are completely filled with explosives. Every day police officers discover and dispose of anti-personnel and anti-tank mines, aircraft bombs, and mortar bombs that have remained unexploded in the ground.

The rector of the church of the Ovruch-Korosten diocese of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate, who incited religious hatred and distributed pro-Kremlin leaflets, was served a notice of suspicion. The investigation has found that the cleric distributed leaflets and brochures on the instructions of his metropolitan. SBU officers found pro-russian propaganda materials during security measures in the spring of 2022 and raids on the territory of the local diocese of the UOC (MP) in June this year.

Sumy oblast

As a result of the shelling of Seredyno-Buda, two power engineers were wounded. According to the Office of the Prosecutor General, on September 2, around 10:30 a.m., the enemy opened mortar fire at the city from the territory of the russian federation. Mortar bombs hit a company car of Shostka branch of Sumyoblenergo. Also, a power line, two institutions, and a local enterprise were damaged.

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as a result of the russian shelling of Seredyno-Buda, 32-year-old police captain Ruslan Faraonov, who was recording the consequences of previous shelling, was killed. Ruslan is survived by his wife, who serves in the juvenile police, and two daughters aged 11 and 12.

According to the information provided by Sumy Regional Military Administration, over the past 24 hours, the russians opened fire 22 times on the border of the oblast. In total, 147 explosions were recorded. Seredyno-Budska, Nova Sloboda, Krasnopillia, Miropillia, Znob-Novhorodske, Khotin, and Bilopillia communities were under enemy fire.

As a result of MLRS shelling of Seredyno-Buda on September 1, 16 private and 11 apartment buildings, 3 private cars, 2 shops, 10 garages, a kindergarten, an art school, the premises of the education department, a children’s library, a police station, a bank, and a housing office were damaged. 4 local residents were wounded. The enemy also attacked the community’s territory from a helicopter with unguided aerial missiles and mortar fire. 

Chernihiv oblast

Over the past 24 hours, the russians opened fire 9 times on the border of Chernihiv oblast from their territory. In total, there were 63 shells fired from barrel artillery, mortars, and multiple rocket launchers. Novhorod-Siverskyi, Semenivka, and Snovsk communities were shelled.

According to the regional military administration, in July 2023, four projects worth almost UAH 43 million were implemented in Chernihiv oblast with the funds of the European Investment Bank. These include the restoration of a medical outpatient clinic and kindergarten in Novobasanska community, a school in the village of Dorohynka in Ichnia community, and a school in Borzna in Borzna community. The oblast expects to receive UAH 110 million from the European Investment Bank to finance 40 more projects.

As part of the government’s Army of Recovery initiative, the Employment Service engages the unemployed in socially useful work to rebuild and strengthen the affected areas. This year, more than 4.7 K unemployed people in 52 territorial communities in Chernihiv oblast took part in such work.

Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine

Dnipropetrovsk oblast

According to Mykola Lukashuk, Head of the regional council,  the Air Force downed a russian UAV over Kryvyi Rih region. Nikopol was hit with a drone and shelled with artillery. 

Two men, aged 40 and 63, and a 60-year-old woman were injured. The men were taken to hospital. A communications enterprise, a shop, 14 residential buildings, 2 outbuildings, 4 cars and a power line were damaged. Myrove community in Nikopol region was also affected. A 52-year-old man was injured. A utility company, a tractor and power lines were damaged.  The enemy fired twice at Marhanets community of the region with artillery.

In eight territorial centres for social adaptation in Dnipro, women sew gloves and pillows, make mascots, and knit socks for the military. In total, they have made more than 8,000 items since the start of the full-scale invasion.

Vinnytsia oblast

​The “The Bloody Battle of Ternovi Pody” exhibition  dedicated to the fallen soldiers of the mechanized company of the Kyivska Rus 11th separate mechanized infantry battalion of the 59th separate mechanized brigade named after Yakiv Handziuk was opened on 2 September at the regional museum of local lore.

Kirovohrad oblast

In Kropyvnytskyi, virtual reality technology is to assist with psychological rehabilitation. VR helmets will be used in the Zatyshno Space centre for women and girls. The sessions are free of charge. The helmet creates the effect of being present in different locations, enabling one to see the nature of Ukraine – mountains, sea, and other landscapes.

Poltava oblast

132  IDPs from Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia and Dnipro oblasts have been accommodated in the modular town in Poltava. Housing is free of charge for them. 

Cherkasy oblast

Cherkasy Territorial Defense soldiers received the Golden Cross awards from  Valerii Zaluzhnyi, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The awards were presented to the soldiers at their positions.

Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine

Zaporizhzhia oblast

On September 1, the russian army struck 94 towns and villages in Zaporizhzhia oblast. Frontline settlements came under fire. There were no casualties. 

The IAEA has successfully rotated its experts at the Zaporizhzhya NPP. According to Oleh Korikov, Acting Chairman of the State Nuclear Regulatory Inspectorate of Ukraine – Chief State Inspector for Nuclear and Radiation Safety, this is the eleventh team.

The first digital educational centre was opened in Zaporizhzhia. The institution was opened on the basis of a school. Primary school children will attend it free of charge. In the morning, they will be able to connect to online lessons taught at their school, and in the afternoon, they will be able to improve their knowledge in the centre’s subject clubs.

Mykolaiv oblast

Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration reports that on September 1, the enemy fired artillery at the waters of Ochakiv community. There were no casualties. 

According to the press service of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, on September 1, a delegation from Save the Children International, including Maria Sorinto, its Executive Director and President, and Sonia Kaur Kush, Director of the organization branch in Ukraine, arrived in Mykolaiv on a working visit as part of the Regional Office for International Cooperation (ROC). During the meeting, the parties discussed the implementation of the organization’s programs and projects in the oblast. In particular, it was about creating training centers, repairing educational institutions and bomb shelters. 

On September 2, a charity exhibition for animal adoption was organized in Mykolaiv. Everyone could choose a pet from 85 stray dogs and cats. Most of the animals were evacuated from Kherson. The exhibition lasted four hours. 77 animals were adopted.

Odesa oblast

The Odesa National Art Museum hosts the exhibition “Study of Evil,” featuring works by artist Mykhailo Reva. They are made of what can be called ‘echoes of war’ – fragments of missiles, shell casings, and remnants of equipment. The project will be presented in Europe, because the russian world is a threat not only to Ukraine but to all of humanity. The goal of this exhibition is to prevent Europeans from getting used to war and to make them allies of the Ukrainian people not in words but in deeds, providing military support.

On August 2, Odesa held City Day celebrations. The city flag was raised near the city hall on Dumska Square and flags of all branches of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were carried as well as the flags of the states supporting Ukraine and Odesa in this fierce struggle. After the ceremony, the stamp “Odesa World Heritage Site” depicting the historic center of the city, which is under UNESCO protection, was redeemed.

Kherson oblast

The russian army struck Odradokamyanka in Kherson oblast with guided aerial bombs. A 43-year-old man was killed. Two others were injured.

Oleksandr Tolokonnikov, Head of the press office of Kherson Regional Military Administration, reported that on the morning of September 2, the russian army shelled Mykolaivka, Kherson oblast. A woman who was working in her garden was injured. 

On  September 2, around 01:30, the russian military shelled Kherson. Houses and a power line were damaged. Two people received shrapnel wounds.

On the night of September 2, russian troops attacked Kherson and Sadove. They shelled the community 12 times during the day. Antonivka and Prydniprovske were shelled.

Oleksandr Prokudin, Head of Kherson Regional Military Administration, reported that on September 1, the russian army fired at the territory of Kherson oblast 59 times. The shells hit an agricultural enterprise in Kherson region and residential areas. The shelling killed two people and injured two others. 

The State Emergency Service reported that on September 1, rescuer workers delivered 20 tonnes of drinking water to residents of Kherson and 4 tonnes of technical water to residents of Beryslav region. 

The Ministry of Environment reported that on September 1, the steppe of the Askania Nova Biosphere Reserve in the temporarily occupied Kherson oblast burned. 7,000 hectares of the Pivdenna area were destroyed. 

Activists of the Yellow Ribbon movement reported that in the temporarily occupied Henichesk, so-called ‘mobile election groups’ are visiting local residents. Ballot boxes are almost empty. People do not open their doors and close their entrances. 

Latest news for today in the western regions of Ukraine

Volyn oblast

The All-Ukrainian charity run I Honor Soldiers, I Run for Heroes of Ukraine took place in Volyn. Over 400 citizens of the oblast took part in the race to commemorate the Heroes of Ukraine.

Zakarpattia oblast

The Owl’s Nest Center for Humanitarian Aid this week gave out over 60 packages with necessary things for children under 2 years of age, 100 grocery sets, 50 hygiene kits, clothes, bed linen and dishes to IDPs registered in Uzhhorod.   2,7 K items were issued thanks to the PDUM Partnerschaft Deutschland-Ukraine/Moldova e. V., Luftfahrt ohne Grenzen / Wings of Help e.V., AMDA.

Ivano-Frankivsk oblast

The RMA representative met with Lesia Popeliuh, regional coordinator of the UNDP program in Ivano-Frankivsk oblast. They discussed assistance to IDPs, the poor, protection of children, implementation of grant projects together with international charitable organizations, etc.

2 families of fallen Heroes who defended the territorial integrity of Ukraine went to the Carpathians for rest and recovery. This project is implemented in several directions: leisure, recreation and health improvement.

Lviv oblast

German partners of the Engelskirchen community (Mogilno region) sent 3 baskets with food for long-term storage, medicines and clothes for people in need to Brody. Food and medicine from Zolochiv oblast will be delivered to the soldiers at the front.

In the Warrior’s House (Chervonohrad region), families of soldiers who have gone missing received consultations from Mariia Petryshyn, representative of the Commissioner for Missing Persons under Special Circumstances, and Maka Shonia, lawyer and expert in providing legal assistance to servicemen and their family members. It was organized by the International Renaissance Foundation.

UAH 20K was collected during the holiday parade at Starosambir School named after the Hero of Ukraine Bohdan Solchanyk. Of this amount, UAH 8K was donated to mounting a thermal imaging sight for fellow countryman Roman Kilgan. The funds were collected as part of the Instead of Flowers ­– Donation to the Armed Forces of Ukraine campaign.

The RMA reported that UAH 1.4 mln were collected during the Franco-SHARK ethno-festival in Nahuyevich. This is almost half the cost of purchasing a drone for the A1108 military unit.

In Lviv, Ukrainian military took part in the Day of Knowledge events. They  took part in the ceremony of raising the national flag together with the children of the fallen defenders of Ukraine.

Lviv National Medical University named after Danylo Halytskyi commemorated its graduate Ivan Shtokal, military medic of the Azov regiment, killed on April 20, 2022 in Mariupol from a russian sniper’s bullet while trying to save the life of a wounded soldier. The maple planted in the university yard will now remind us of the immortality of the Hero’s feat.

Rivne oblast

In Rivne oblast, 217 civil and critical infrastructure objects were damaged or destroyed as a result of the armed aggression of the russian federation. Of them, 25 are state-owned. Currently, 194 objects have been restored at the expense of local budgets, funds of legal entities or individuals. At the moment, 94 informational notices about property damage and 7 applications for receiving compensation have been submitted to the Register of Damaged and Depreciated Property.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a lesson for students of Volodymyretsk Lyceum. Although the Head of State addressed students online, it was possible to discuss and ask questions. The lesson was held in every oblast of Ukraine. Among others, students from Bucha, Hostomel, Kherson and Bakhmut were present.

Ternopil oblast

Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President of Ukraine, spoke with students of Terebovlia Academic Lyceum named after Yaroslav Stetsko and congratulated them on the Day of Knowledge. The meeting with the Head of State was held online. Volodymyr Zelenskyy presented the educational project Mriia (Dream) to students and teachers.

Khmelnytskyi oblast

The annual patriotic race I Honor Soldiers, I Run for Heroes of Ukraine took place in Khmelnytskyi. Over 300 participants, including military personnel, caring citizens, volunteers, youth, children and athletes, covered a distance of 1.6 km to commemorate fallen compatriots.

Chernivtsi oblast

Ruslan Zaparaniuk, Head of the RMA, met with Oksana Zholnovich, Minister of Social Policy. They discussed implementation of the National strategy for reforming the system of institutional care and upbringing of children. The oblast sheltered 7 family-type children’s homes and 9 institutions, in which there are 258 children evacuated from oblasts where active hostilities are taking place.

The World Bank  allocated $232 mln for emergency housing repairs in Ukraine. The Repairing Housing to Restore People’s Rights and Opportunities project provides that over 100K Ukrainian families will be able to receive assistance for the repair of housing damaged as a result of a full-scale invasion.

Matt Jones, Executive Director of Electro Optic Systems announced that they will provide the Armed Forces of Ukraine with Slinger anti-drone complexes capable of shooting down helicopters and Shaheds.

The International Olympic Committee did not allow athletes from russia and belarus to participate in the Asian Games in Hangzhou. The organization considers the involvement of russians and belarusians “impossible for technical reasons.”

Mariupol City Council reported that Ireland intends to take part in the restoration of the city.

Kaya Kallas, Prime Minister of Estonia, received a gift from the Ukrainian 24th separate mechanized brigade named after King Danyla. The cup was made from a 120 mm artillery shell as a sign of gratitude.
