It has been the 609th day of the Ukrainian resistance to the russian military aggression. 

What happened in Ukraine today:

Here is operational information of the General Staff as of 6 pm:   

On the night of October 25, russian terrorist forces launched another airstrike against Ukraine, using 11 Shahed-136/131 attack UAVs. Air defense shot down all the kamikaze drones. Unfortunately, debris from the destroyed UAVs injured civilians. 11 apartment buildings and 9 private houses, 2 educational institutions, 2 fire stations, 1 police station and other civilian infrastructure were damaged in the cities of Slavuta and Netishyn (Khmelnytskyi oblast)ю

The operational situation in east and south of Ukraine remains challenging.

On October 25, there were 66 combat clashes. The enemy launched a total of 47 air strikes and 25 MLRS attacks at the positions of Ukrainian troops and various settlements. Unfortunately, a guided aerial bomb strike on a residential area in the city of Beryslav (Kherson oblast) killed and wounded civilians. Private houses and other civilian infrastructure were destroyed and damaged.

Towards Volyn and Polissya, no significant changes. No signs of formation of an offensive group. Certain units of the armed forces of belarus continue their missions in the areas bordering Ukraine.

Towards Siversk and Sloboda, the adversary maintains its military presence in the areas of russia bordering Ukraine. The enemy continues to shell Ukrainian settlements from the territory of russia and increases the density of minefields along the state border of Ukraine. More than 30 settlements came under enemy artillery and mortar fire, including Senkivka, Klyusy, Leonivka (Chernihiv oblast), Bachivsk, Studenok, Starykove (Sumy oblast), Vovchansk, Okhrimivka, Kruhle, Budarky (Kharkiv oblast).

Towards Kupiansk, the enemy conducted unsuccessful assault operations in the vicinities of Synkivka, Petropavlivka and Ivanivka (Kharkiv oblast). Ukrainian defenders repelled 11x enemy attacks in that area. The russian occupiers also launched an airstrike in the vicinity of Novoselivske (Luhansk oblast). The invaders fired artillery and mortars at around 10 settlements, including Kindrashivka, Kyslivka, Krokhmalne, Pishchane, Berestove, Ivanivka (Kharkiv oblast).

Towards Lyman, the Ukrainian defense forces repelled all enemy attacks in the vicinities of Nadiya and Makiivka (Luhansk oblast). The occupiers launched air strikes in the area of Serebryanka forestry (Luhansk oblast), Hryhorivka and Verkhn’okam’yans’ke (Donetsk oblast). The invaders fired artillery and mortars at more than 10x settlements, including Makiivka, Nevske, Bilohorivka (Luhansk oblast), Tors’ke, Spirne, Vyimka, Fedorivka, Rozdolivka (Donetsk oblast).

Towards Bakhmut, the Ukrainian defenders repelled 7x adversary attacks in the vicinities of Bohdanivka, Ivanivske, Klishchiivka, Andriivka (Donetsk oblast). The adversary launched an air strike in the vicinity of Khromove (Donetsk oblast). Around 20 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire, including Minkivka, Bohdanivka, Klishchiivka, Andriivka, Kurdyumivka, Druzhba (Donetsk oblast).

Towards Avdiivka, the enemy conducted unsuccessful assault operations with air support in the vicinities of Avdiivka, Stepove, Tonenke, Sjeverne (Donetsk oblast). The Ukrainian defenders repelled 12 enemy attacks in the area. Also, the occupiers launched an airstrike near Novobakhmutivka (Donetsk oblast). The invaders fired artillery and mortars at more than 10 settlements, including Ocheretyne, Semenivka, Avdiivka, Sievierne, Opytne (Donetsk oblast).

Towards Marinka, the enemy conducted unsuccessful assault operations with air support in the vicinities of Marinka and Novomykhailivka (Donetsk oblast). The Ukrainian defense forces repelled 14x enemy attacks in the area. Around 10 settlements, including Hostre, Heorhiivka, Marinka, Pobjeda, Novomykhailivka (Donetsk oblast), were under artillery and mortar fire.

Towards Shakhtarske, the invaders conducted unsuccessful assault operations with air support in the vicinities of Vodyane, Novoukrainka, Staromaiorske (Donetsk oblast). Also, the adversary launched an airstrike near Volodyne (Donetsk oblast). Around 10 settlements, including Vodyane, Vuhledar, Prechystivka, Zolota Nyva, Blahodatne, Urozhaine (Donetsk oblast), came under artillery and mortar fire.

Towards Zaporizhzhia, the Ukrainian defenders repelled 1 enemy attack near Verbove (Zaporizhzhia oblast). The invaders launched air strikes in the vicinities of Novodarivka and Novodanylivka (Zaporizhzhia oblast). More than 20 settlements, including Novodanylivka, Novoandriivka, Mali Shcherbaky, Stepove, P’yatykhatky (Zaporizhzhia oblast), came under enemy artillery and mortar fire.

Towards Kherson, the occupiers launched airstrikes with over 25 guided aerial bombs in the vicinities of Zmiivka, Beryslav, Odradokamianka, Mykolaivka, Ol’hivka (Kherson oblast). The settlements of Chervonyi Maiak, Antonivka (Kherson oblast) and the city of Kherson came under enemy artillery and mortar fire.

At the same time, the Ukrainian defense forces continue offensive operations towards  Melitopol, offensive (assault) operations towards  Bakhmut, inflicting losses in manpower and equipment on the occupation forces, and exhausting the enemy along the entire front line.

The Ukrainian Air Force launched 7 airstrikes on buildups of enemy troops, weapons and military equipment.

The missile troops hit 3 ammunition depots, 6 artillery systems and 1 air defense radar station of the occupiers.


The Ministry of Reintegration held a regular meeting of the Commission on establishing the fact of captivity. At its meeting on October 24, the Commission for Establishing the Facts of Deprivation of Personal Liberty as a Result of Armed Aggression against Ukraine established the relevant facts in relation to 78 people released from Russian captivity and 264 people currently illegally detained by Russia. In addition, the Commission recognized 76 people as family members of prisoners.

Oleh Nikolenko, Spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, informs that the number of confirmed Ukrainian citizens killed in the Hamas attack on Israel has risen to 19, with one more person still missing. It is known about 3 dead Ukrainian citizens who were in the Gaza Strip. Ukraine confirmed the deaths of two Ukrainian children born in 2014 and 2017. Almost 350 people with Ukrainian citizenship have agreed to evacuate from Gaza. 

Ukrainian soldiers have had their treatment periods extended: in medical institutions and on medical leave – at least 1 week, but no more than 4 months in a row. Treatment abroad, including the time of transfer from one foreign institution to another and the waiting time between scheduled surgical interventions is a maximum of 12 consecutive months. Vacation leave is granted without taking into account the time required to travel within Ukraine to and from the place of vacation, but not more than 2 days one way.

Recent war events in the east of Ukraine

Kharkiv oblast

Referring to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Ukrainian soldiers repelled 11 enemy attacks near Synkivka, Petropavlivka and Ivanivka towards Kupiansk, the General Staff reported.

Kharkiv Regional Military Administration reported that another person, injured in the attack on the Nova Poshta terminal near Kharkiv, will be released from hospital. There are 13 injured in the hospital: seven in intensive care and six in the surgical department. The RMA added that two Nova Poshta employees are in an extremely critical condition in intensive care but have started breathing without the support of ventilators.

The press service of Kharkiv State Emergency Service informed that a 57-year-old man died on the spot after tripping over an anti-personnel mini Butterfly mine in a field near Yaremivka, Izium region.

The collection’s catalogue for 2023 said that Paris municipality purchased the works of Kharkiv artist Vladyslav Krasnoshchok for its collection. These are three photographs taken in early 2022 in Kharkiv of the city living under russian invasion and defending itself from shelling.

Oleh Syniehubov, Head of Kharkiv RMA, stated that a decision is being prepared on the forced evacuation of families with children from 10 settlements of Kupiansk, Kindrashivka and Kurylivka communities of Kupiansk region as there are 275 children there.

During the day, russian invaders fired at settlements of Kharkiv, Chuhuiv, Kupiansk and Izium regions. As a result of the artillery shelling of Podoly village, Kupiansk region, 2 civilian men aged 57 and 50 were killed. A private building, outbuildings and 2 cars were damaged. The enemy attacked Borova village, Izium region, with multiple rocket launchers last night, after 11 pm. Preliminary, there were no casualties.

In addition, Pletenivka of Chuhuiv region, Kozacha Lopan of Kharkiv region, Chuhunivka, Dvorichna and Petropavlivka of Kupiansk region and other settlements were under hostile shelling.

Mine clearance is ongoing. Yesterday pyrotechnics of the State Emergency Service examined more than 15 hectares of territory and defused 194 explosive ordnance.

Donetsk oblast

The enemy sentenced the commander of the Armed Forces of Ukraine’s Naval Forces, Ihor Mykhalchuk, to 23 years in prison in a strict regime colony. Since September 2023, 19 Ukrainian servicemen were convicted in “LDPR” and 18 more since the beginning of October. In russian-occupied parts of Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts, Ukrainian servicemen are “accused” and “”judged” by so-called courts under the same scenarios, either killing civilians due to hostility or damaging property.

Vitalii Barabash, Head of Avdiivka City Military Administration, said that russian troops do not control the slagheap near Avdiivka, this territory remains a ‘grey zone’. When russian sabotage groups try to enter it, the Armed Forces of Ukraine strike them with artillery and other weapons.

Mykola Trofymenko, Rector of Mariupol State University in the russian-occupied city, said that at least 18 teachers, staff and students of the university were killed and there is no information about 250 other students. According to him, 90% of the teachers continue to work. The university is now in Kyiv.

Mariupol City Council informed that the invaders in Mariupol announced the start of the heating season and the launch of 39 boiler houses but locals deny this information.

Mykola Kovalenko, Head of Ocheretyne Military Administration, confirmed that 4 days after the shelling, two people were reported killed in Stepove, a village 10 kilometres from Avdiivka. A shell hit a house where an elderly couple was hiding. The information about the casualties was reported by their son, who was hiding in another place.

In the morning, russian invaders attacked Zaporizhzhia village of Pokrovsk community and also shelled Markivka and Hirnyk with artillery. In total, russian troops shelled 12 towns and villages in Donetsk oblast yesterday.

Towards Volnovakha, Vuhledar suffered 3 mortar attacks, 3 attacks from an automatic grenade launcher, 1 artillery shelling and 1 kamikaze drone attack yesterday. A building in Velyka Novosilka was damaged.

Towards Donetsk, 1 person was injured in Soloviove in Ocheretyne community. Novomykhailivka, Antonivka and Paraskoviivka in Marinka community was under attack. Avdiivka suffered massive shelling in the morning and Hirnyk of Kurakhove community suffered 2 air strikes.

Towards Horlivka, 3 buildings and a shop were damaged in Markove of Kostiantynivka community. In Chasiv Yar community, 2 apartment buildings and 1 private building were damaged. In Soledar community, Rozdolivka, Vasiukivka and Minkivka were targeted. A building was damaged in Druzhba of Toretsk community.

Towards Lysychansk, 15 buildings in Lyman, 2 buildings and a non-residential building in Siversk were damaged.

Ihor Moroz, Acting Head of Donetsk Regional Military Administration, stated that yesterday russians injured 1 civilian in Soloviove.

Luhansk oblast

According to Luhansk Regional Military Administration, within four hours, russian invaders shelled Nevske six times with KAB-500 bombs. Two buildings were completely destroyed in the village. Also russians hit previously damaged buildings and households.

The enemy became active again near Makiivka, where they continued their offensive. But both there and near Nadiia all these attempts were repelled by our military yesterday.

In addition to Nevske, the territory of Serebrianka forestry was hit from the sky. Bilohorivka and Nevske were under enemy artillery and mortar attacks.

Not only Ukrainian justice but also russian one is hunting for collaborators. Recently, a former head of the road department of the so-called “LPR” was detained in the capital of russia, who tried to stay there after his release. He is charged with embezzlement of public funds on a particularly large scale.

What is happening now in the north of Ukraine

Kyiv oblast

The “uncanned” FSS intelligence-combat group, which was preparing sabotage at the facilities of the Armed Forces and the Ministry of Defense in Kyiv oblast, was eliminated in Kyiv. The SSU reported that the group included three people who were preparing a series of powerful explosions at Ukrainian military facilities. To commit sabotage, the perpetrators planned to use up to 10 drones, which they specially equipped with homemade explosive devices.

The State Recovery Agency reported that a major renovation of a 9-storey building for 420 residents, three floors of which were damaged due to the shelling by russian troops in the spring of 2022, began in Bucha.

With the funds of the Fund for Elimination of Armed Aggression Consequences, another residential building is being restored in the town of Vasylkiv, Obukhiv region – a 10-storey building with 120 apartments on Dekabristiv Street. At the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the russian federation, part of the building was significantly damaged by the blast wave.

The Office of the Prosecutor General reported that  the court sentenced a military officer of the russian federation to 12 years of imprisonment under the article on violation of the laws and customs of war. In March 2022, during the temporary occupation of the village of Bohdanivka, Brovary region, the convict robbed civilians, held them captive, tortured and threatened to kill them.

Ruslan Kravchenko, Head of the Kyiv regional military administration, said that a waste processing facility is going to be built in the oblast. They will start with the construction of a modern waste processing plant. Assistance in the construction of the waste management system was offered by the international company Miyamoto International, which specializes in recovery after natural disasters, military conflicts and disasters.

Zhytomyr oblast

There are 17 more educational institutions in Zhytomyr oblast, which will be able to work in full-time and mixed formats – another 2.5 thousand children aged 3 to 17 were provided with the opportunity to attend educational institutions. As reported in Zhytomyr RMA, in the oblast, the offline-mixed format of instruction has been approved for 1,153 or 88% of preschool, general secondary, professional, professional pre-higher, after-school and higher education institutions.

Zhytomyr RMA reported that social institutions in the oblast are provided with heating supply. To date, 928 boiler houses are already operating in the region, which is 100% of the planned number for this heating period.

The State Archive of the Zhytomyr oblast signed an agreement on cooperation with the FamilySearch International corporation (USA). Subsequently, the implementation of an important project to digitize documents, create a user fund and expand access for users to the information of digitized archival documents online will be started.

Sumy oblast

 Sumy Regional Military Administration reported that in the morning, the russians shelled the Velyka Pysarivka community, 25 explosions from the AGS were recorded.

During the past day, the russians carried out 27 shelling of the border territories of the oblast, 126 hits from mortars, barrel artillery, shelling from a tank and AGS were recorded. The Bilopillia, Krasnopillia, Khotyn, Myropillia, Velyka Pysarivka, Seredina-Buda, and Shalyhine communities were under enemy shelling.

The regional police reported that on October 24, as a result of russian shelling, six private residential buildings and a grain cleaning facility were damaged in Sumy oblast. Police officers document the consequences of shelling from the russian side.

Sumy RMA reported that there is a social support line at Sumy Regional Territorial Center for Staffing and Social Support. This line provides quick processing of appeals and informing citizens of the oblast on issues of military duty and service, training and mobilization, as well as social support for conscripts, servicemen and persons released from military service, and their family members.

Sumy RMA reported that a meeting was held with the delegation of the international organization Save the Children International. Prospects of expanding assistance to children and disadvantaged sections of the population, as well as programs for business were discussed. New programs of providing a 3-month monetary support were presented in the amount of UAH 3.6 K for residents suffering from shelling.

Chernihiv oblast

SBGS reported that during the past day, the russians shelled the border of Chernihiv oblast 8 times from their territory, there were 86 explosions. Three communities came under shelling: Novhorod-Siverskyi – 5 mortar hits, Semenivka – 23 mortar hits and unguided missles, launched from an enemy helicopter, Horodnyanka – 59 AGS hits.

Chernihiv RMA reported that the forest area covered by fire during the full-scale invasion has almost tripled. The number of forest fires increased tenfold. One fire damages the forest by about UAH 2 million. Shelling is the main cause of large fires. 

Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine

Dnipropetrovsk oblast

At night, the invaders attacked Marhanets community of Nikopol region with artillery. They launched more than half a dozen shells. There were no casualties or destruction.

During the day, the enemy attacked Nikopol region three times with drones and artillery.

In the morning, a drone attack in one of the villages of Marganets community damaged 4 residential buildings, 2 outbuildings and fences. Nikopol was attacked by a Kamikaze drone in the morning and artillery in the afternoon. Three buildings and an outbuilding were damaged.

Vinnytsia oblast

Vinnytsia Lyceum No. 3 donated an off-road vehicle to the 59th Separate Mechanised Brigade named after Yakiv Handziuk. The vehicle was purchased at the expense of a school fair that raised UAH 156K. The vehicle is on its way to our defenders along with blindage staples, trench candles, camouflage netting, flags and treats.

Kirovohrad oblast

Soldiers from five communities in Kirovohrad oblast were killed in the war with russia. Serhii Bilyk, born in 1989, a resident of Salkove village of Zavallia community, was killed on 19 October near Avdiivka, Donetsk oblast. Viktor Dzhuhostranskyi from Dolynska community was killed on 17 October 2023 while performing a combat mission. Oleh Korinenko, born in 1971, from Oleksandriia, was killed on 23 October near Avdiivka, Donetsk oblast. Chief Sergeant Yevhen Bazhenov from Novoarkhanhelsk was killed as a result of a serious illness on 23 October. Mykola Shamshur, born in 1993, from Kropyvnytske village, Hannivka community, was killed on 20 September 2023.

Poltava oblast

People say farewell to the soldiers from Poltava oblast who were killed in Donetsk oblast. Serhii Pankratiev was killed as a result of a russian mortar attack near Avdiivka, Donetsk oblast, on 20 October 2023. Roman Dmytrenko was killed as a result of a missile attack near Avdiivka, Donetsk oblast, on 21 October 2023. Ivan Mordovin, a junior sergeant, was killed during a combat mission near Novomykhailivka village, Donetsk oblast, on 17 October.

Cherkasy oblast

An exhibition dedicated to military chaplains was opened in Cherkasy Local History Museum. The exhibits include the belongings of chaplains who were in the war zone, saving soldiers’ lives and their shrines. Among the exhibits are icons, a Bible and altar crosses from churches destroyed by russia. 

Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine

Zaporizhzhia oblast

Ukrainian defense forces continue their offensive operation towards Melitopol, achieving partial success to the west of Verbove. They are inflicting casualties and damage to the occupying forces’ troops and equipment while wearing down the enemy along the entire front line. Additionally, our defenders repelled all enemy attacks in the area southeast of Mala Tokmachka.

Yesterday, the occupiers carried out 181 strikes on 21 settlements in Zaporizhzhia oblast. These included 157 artillery shelling incidents on the territory of Huliaipole, Zaliznychne, Novoandriivka, Malynivka, Bilohiria, Levadne, Shcherbaky, Poltavka, Kamianske, Stepove, Piatyhatky, and other frontline towns and villages. The enemy launched two rocket strikes on Zaporizhzhia, conducted 14 UAV attacks on Novodarivka, Mala Tokmachka, Charivne, Malynivka, Chervone, Novodanylivka, Mali Shcherbaky, Stepove, and Kamianske, as well as seven MLRS shelling incidents on Robotyne, Novodarivka, and Mala Tokmachka. Furthermore, the enemy used aviation munitions against Novodanylivka. There were 19 reports of damage to residential buildings and infrastructure, without casualties.

Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have destroyed several units of russian heavy armour towards Zaporizhzhia worth USD 25 million over the course of the week. In collaboration with defense units, they eliminated BM-21 Grad, BM-27 “Uragan,” TOS, and counter-battery radar systems Zoopark-1.

Representatives of municipal services are conducting inspections of buildings and apartments in Tokmak, Zaporizhia oblast, to prepare them for the heating season. They identify debtors and check meters. Buildings and apartments that are unoccupied are sealed, and a few days later, russian occupiers move into these premises. Often, the occupiers move in with their wives and children. Typically, these are military personnel from depressed regions of russia, including Buryatia, Udmurtia, and Chechnya.

It is reported that russian occupiers have set up mobile checkpoints in Rozivka, Zaporizhzhia oblast, and are conducting screening measures among their own terrorists to locate a group of russian military personnel who recently committed the murder of an occupational police officer in Berdiansk and stole his car.

Mykolaiv oblast

On October 24, russian armed forces shelled Mykolaiv oblast twice. The artillery fire affected Ochakiv community. There were no casualties reported. Additionally, from October 24 to 25, South Air Command units shot down two russian  Shahed-131/136 drones over Mykolaiv oblast. This information was reported by Mykolaiv RMA.

A resident of Mykolaiv, Daniel Bodu manufactures 3D-printed prosthetics and charging stations for both civilians and the military in Mykolaiv, which is approximately 50 kilometers away from the front lines. He worked in the field of energy efficiency for six years. After the start of the full-scale invasion, he lost his job. Undeterred, he decided to start his own business, and launched his project due to a grant.

The process of demining the liberated territory continues in Mykolaiv oblast. Ten demining units are working there. Alongside Mykolaiv-based sappers, specialists from four other regions, including Odesa, have been assigned to work in the region. As of October 25, a total of 54,114 hectares have been surveyed, with 5,712 hectares cleared of mines. Pyrotechnicians have safely removed and destroyed 20,382 pieces of ordnance, including 59 aerial bombs, in accordance with established procedures. Odesa oblast

Natalia Humeniuk, the head of the United Coordination Press Center for of the South Operational Command reported that russian aviation dropped unknown explosive devices in the vicinity of a humanitarian navigation corridor. She noted that russian forces used guided bombs and air-based rockets in an attempt to create an artificial food crisis in the world and enhance their own grain exports..

Activists of Odesa formed a team and created a drone mine detector capable of remaining in the air for 30 minutes on a single battery charge. With spare batteries available, the drone can work for as long as necessary to complete its task. It has a speed of 6-7 km/h. The fully operational device has undergone a series of tests on an improvised range, successfully locating metallic objects (essentially mine replicas). Soon, the inventors plan to hand it over to demining experts for further testing in actual mine clearance operations.

362 Invincibility Centres are ready for operation in Odesa. They are equipped with heaters, firewood, generators, food supplies, and medication. According to Odesa City Council, centres will open within two hours after the decision is made by the city commission for technogenic and environmental safety and emergencies.

Kherson oblast

At around 7:20 in the morning, the enemy dropped a guided bomb on a residential district in the city of Beryslav. The target was a building, and a 42-year-old man received fatal injuries.

Yesterday, the enemy carried out 86 artillery attacks, launching 389 projectiles from mortars, artillery, Grads, tanks, aviation, and UAVs. The enemy conducted airstrikes on Beryslav, Zmiivka, Kozatske, and Vesele. Four guided bomb explosions caused damage to a factory building, the plant’s premises, a fire station, and engineering and technical structures of an agricultural facility in Beryslav. Another airstrike damaged a cultural center, a kindergarten, and seven private houses in Zmiivka. Four buildings were significantly damaged by guided bomb explosions in Vesele. The enemy fired six shells at the city of Kherson. Occupiers attempted to destroy vital facilities in the city and targeted peaceful residential areas in Dniprovskyi and Korabelnyi districts, as well as the city downtown and suburbs. Multi-storey and private houses in the regional center suffered damage from enemy shells. During the past 24 hours, the police initiated 12 criminal proceedings related to war crimes committed by russian military forces on the territory of Kherson oblast.

Southern defense forces continue to carry out their fire tasks. Yesterday, our defenders eliminated 81 occupiers and destroyed 3 Grad MLRSs, 1 tank, 1 BMP-3, 4 self-propelled artillery installations, 19 cannons, 1 Orlan-10 UAV, 10 armoured vehicles, and 1 boat. Additionally, 2 UAV control points were destroyed.

Yesterday, residents of the liberated territories received humanitarian aid, including 2680 food kits, 5753 loaves of bread, 250 servings of hot meals, 2200 cans of preserves, and 22096 liters of drinking water. People were also provided with 26 OSB sheets, 15 building kits, 3 window films, 50 cubic meters of lumber, 234 battens, 40 meters of tarpaulin, 105 bags of cement, and 50 repair kits.

Construction workers from Chernivtsi have already restored 24 dwellings in Zarichne, Beryslav region. A total of 112 residential facilities in Zarichne are next in line for restoration.

The GEM volunteer team provided comfortable mattresses to the residents of Berehove and Kizomys. Volunteers also delivered family kits to Kherson.

Volyn oblast

Lutsk City Council held a command and staff training. They discussed readiness of management bodies, forces and means of specialized civil protection services, critical infrastructure facilities for actions in blackout conditions. The purpose of the event is to practise joint actions in the event of an emergency situation with a long-term power outage and termination of heat and water supply services.

Zakarpattia oblast

The Ministry of Health, in cooperation with the World Bank, purchased a computer tomograph for Uzhgorod City Multidisciplinary Clinical Hospital.

Ivano-Frankivsk oblast

Within the framework of the Side by Side project, Ivano-Frankivsk oblast helped to restore the village of Davidiv Brid, Velyka Oleksandrivka community (Kherson oblast). In order to help with the restoration of residential buildings, over UAH 11 mln was directed, of which UAH 5 mln were sent from the regional budget, the rest of the funds – from communities of Prykarpattia. Currently, there are 22 craftsmen in the south of the country, 10 of them repair roofs of buildings, 8 repair facades, and 4 help with organizational issues. So far, the restoration of 9 residential buildings has been completed; 2 residential buildings have had their roofs repaired, work on capital repair of facades, replacement of windows/doors is ongoing; 12 design and estimate documents for repairs of other residential buildings were prepared.

Lviv oblast

Lviv RMA allocated UAH 3,275 mln to the needs of the 80th separate amphibious assault brigade. The funds were spent on the purchase of weapons for paratroopers, in particular, hand grenade launchers. Some of them have already been put into service.

Employees of Pustomytiv City Council’s education department together with the Nasha Halychyna CF purchased a car for soldiers on the front line. The fuel was bought by employees of Pustomytiv City Council.

The RMA reported that during a military orchestra concert and the Drohobych shop fair over UAH 30K was collected for the needs of the military.

The Honoured Carpathian Song and Dance Ensemble of Ukraine Verkhovyna during charity performances in France in Sable-sur-Sart and Le Mans were collected EUR 12K to build housing for IDPs.

The RMA reported that in Zhydachivskyi City Public Library, trench candles are again being made for defenders.

In Lviv oblast, new curfew passes began to operate. The new type of passes has several levels of protection.

The XXI international conference Fat&Oil Industry-2023 was held in Lviv. Over 150 representatives of the oil and fat segment from 14 countries of the world took part in the conference. During the event, alternative export routes, global changes in the geography of sunflower oil export, changes in the structure of oil and grain production, new projects, etc. were discussed.

Rivne oblast

The campaign Warrior’s Warmth has started in Radyvyliv community. In just a few days, it was possible to produce 1K trench candles and 3 camouflage nets. Employees, parents and students of Lyceum #2, the Usmishka kindergarten #2, Nemyrivskyi Lyceum and Sestriatynsk Gymnasium participated in the production of these items.

Ternopil oblast

The RMA reported that seminars will be held in Ternopil to discuss the basics of veteran policy and the results of a nationwide survey of veterans, their family members, those of the deceased, and veteran public organizations.

Khmelnytskyi oblast

For the 4th day in a row, the enemy is attacking Khmelnytskyi. Air defense was on alert. In Shepetiv region, as a result of the downing of enemy air targets, they fell on the territory of a critical infrastructure object. In the city of Slavuta, 11 multi-apartment and 9 private buildings, 2 educational institutions, a shop and cars were damaged due to the fall of UAV debris. In addition, as a result of the explosion, windows in the administrative, household and laboratory buildings were damaged. Also, in Slavuta and Netishyn, the premises of the fire and rescue units and the building of the police department were damaged by the blast wave. 1,86K consumers were cut off in cities of Slavuta and Netishyn of Khmelnytskyi oblast. 20 residents from nearby houses with various injuries sought medical help at the hospital.

Chernivtsi oblast

11 vocational and technical education institutions of the oblast received 7 kW generators worth EUR 13 772 thanks to the EU4Skills: Best Skills for Modern Ukraine EU program, the European Commission and within the framework of cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine. 

International support of Ukraine in the russian-Ukrainian war (russia’s invasion of Ukraine)

The Ministry of Defense of Australia reported that the country allocated a package of military aid to Ukraine worth over $12 mln. It includes equipment for demining, portable X-ray machines, a 3D printer for metal and anti-drone systems. In addition, Australia sent its E-7A Wedgetail reconnaissance aircraft to Germany to protect humanitarian and military aid supplies entering Ukraine.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President of Ukraine, met with Troels Lund Poulsen, Minister of Defense of Denmark. Military support was discussed.

Andrii Yermak, Head of the Office of the President, held a phone conversation with Celso Amorim, chief adviser to the President of the Federal Republic of Brazil. They discussed the situation at the front and the preparation of the 3rd meeting of national security advisers in Malta regarding the implementation of the Ukrainian peace formula.

Herman Halushchenko, Head of the Ministry of Energy, met with Jorg Kukis, State Secretary of the Office of the Federal Chancellor of Germany. Germany is interested in the production of “green” hydrogen in Ukraine and its transportation to the EU in order to get rid of dependence on russian energy resources.

The Enerho company imported from Poland the 1st 38K tonnes of the planned 210K tonnes of coal for the heating season.

A fund to support the Georgian Legion fighting for Ukraine was created in Tbilisi. This fund will meet the needs of Georgian soldiers. In addition, the platform will become the main source for obtaining information about the Georgian Legion.

A forum on Ukrainian-Polish cooperation was held in Rivne with the participation of entrepreneurs from both countries. The key topic of the forum is investing in Ukrainian business.
