It has been the 598th day of the Ukrainian resistance to the russian military aggression. 

What happened in Ukraine today:

Here is operational information of the General Staff as of 6 pm:   

The enemy continues to violate the laws and customs of warfare, using the kremlin’s signature terror tactics, launching missile and air strikes, and firing multiple launch rocket systems not only at the military, but also at numerous civilian targets in Ukraine. 

The Ukrainian defense forces continue to defend in the east and the south of Ukraine and launch the offensives towards Melitopol and Bakhmut. As they destroy the enemy, they liberate the temporarily occupied territories and consolidate new positions. 

kremlin terrorist forces cynically launched a missile attack on a children’s art center in the center of the city of Pokrovsk (Donetsk oblast). As a result of the targeted hit, more than 20 civilians were injured and two administrative buildings were partially destroyed.

There were around 100 combat engagements. The enemy launched a total of 3 missiles and 59 air strikes, 54 MLRS attacks at the positions of Ukrainian troops and various settlements. Fussian terrorist attacks have resulted in civilian casualties and injuries. Private residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure were either destroyed or damaged.

Air strikes hit Leonivka, Hremiach, Chernihiv oblast, Popivka, Sumy oblast, Synkivka, Ivanivka, Kyslivka, Pischane, Kharkiv oblast, Nevske, Bilohorivka, Novolyubivka, Serebryanske forestry, Luhansk oblast, Spirne, Bila Hora, Oleksandro-Shultyne, New York, Novokalynove, Maryinka, Avdiyivka, Novomykhailivka, Staromaiorske, Donetsk oblast, Robotyne, Zaporizhzhia oblast, Mykolaivka, Olhivka, Odradokamyanka, Kozatske, Vysoke, and Ulianivka, Kherson oblast.

About 130 settlements in Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson oblasts came under artillery fire.

Towards Siversk and Sloboda, the enenn my  maintains its military presence in the areas of russia bordering Ukraine. The enemy troops conduct active subversive activities in order to prevent the deployment of Ukrainian troops to threatened axes. They increase the density of minefields along the state border in Belgorod oblast, russia.

Towards Kupiansk, Ukrainian soldiers repelled more than 20 enemy attacks in the vicinities of Synkivka, Ivanivka, Kyslivka, Kharkiv oblast. 

Towards Lyman, Ukrainian defense forces continue to hold back the enemy’s offensive in the vicinity of Makiyivka, Luhansk oblast. The Ukrainian defenders repelled more than 5 enemy attacks in that area. 

Towards Bakhmut, the Ukrainian defense forces continue assault operations south of Bakhmut, Donetsk oblast, inflict losses in manpower and equipment on the enemy, and consolidate their new positions.

Towards Avdiivka, the enemy keeps trying to break through Ukrainian defense, to no success. The Ukrainian defenders repelled around 20 enemy attacks in the vicinities of Avdiyivka, Keramik, Tonenke, Sieverne, Pervomaiske, and Netailove, Donetsk oblast.

Towards Mariinka, Ukrainian defense forces successfully repelled around 15 enemy attacks in the vicinity of Mariinka, Donetsk oblast.

Towarfs Shakhtarsk, the enemy conducted unsuccessful assault operations with air support near Staromaiorske, Donetsk oblast.

Towards Zaporizhzhia, the invaders made unsuccessful attempts to regain the lost ground in the vicinity of Robotyne, Zaporizhzhia oblast.

Towards Kherson, the Ukrainian defense forces conduct counter-battery fire, destroy the supply depots, and successfully strike behind the enemy lines.

The Ukrainian defense forces continue their offensive operation towards Melitopol, inflicting losses in manpower and equipment on the occupation forces and exhausting the enemy. 

The enemy suffers significant losses on the battlefield. Thus, over the past 3 days alone, during the assault operations near Krasnohorivka, Donetsk oblast, the occupiers’ losses reached 100 dead, most of which due to lack of clearance of casualties from the battlefield, as well as about 200 wounded.  

Ukrainian Air Force launched 12 air strikes on the concentrations of troops, weapons and military equipment of the enemy. Ukrainian defenders also destroyed 1 russian Su-25 fighter jet and 1 Orlan-10 tactical UAV.

The Ukrainian rocket troops and artillery hit 1 command post, 1 concentration of troops, weapons and military equipment, 1 ammunition depot and 1 electronic warfare system of the russian invaders.

Recent war events in the east of Ukraine

Oleksandr Syrskyi, Commander of the Ground Forces of Ukraine, reported an escalation towards Kupiansk and Lyman. Heavy fighting continues there but Ukrainian defenders are repelling russian troops.

Illia Yevlash, Head of the press service of the Eastern Group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, confirmed that towards Lyman-Kupiansk, the enemy attacked with artillery and mortars 611 times and used aircraft 13 times. The invaders tried to advance 25 times in this area of the frontline but were repelled.

Illia Yevlash added that 206 invaders were eliminated,. 15 samples of enemy weapons and equipment destroyed. Among them are two T-72 tanks, five armoured combat vehicles, two D-20 cannons, a Nona-S self-propelled weapon and a mortar. Ammunition depots are also constantly hit and enemy UAVs shot down. 

Kharkiv oblast

Towards Kupiansk, the Armed Forces of Ukraine repelled 20 enemy attacks near Synkivka, Ivanivka and Kyslivka. The enemy is not advancing and suffers losses.

Oleh Syniehubov, Head of Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, reported that at 7 am, russian troops shelled Kupiansk-Vuzlovyi, setting a 5-storey residential building on fire.

Yesterday the enemy shelled settlements of Chuhuiv, Kupiansk and Izium regions.

Synkivka, Ivanivka, Kyslivka and Pishchane of Kupiansk region were attacked with air strikes.

Vovchansk, Ternova, Hatyshche and Pletenivka of Chuhuiv region, Kupiansk, Kupiansk-Vuzlovyi, Krasne Pershe, Fuholivka, Novomlynsk of Kupiansk region, Borova of Izium region were shelled with artillery, mortars and other weapons. Residential buildings and outbuildings were damaged, and fires broke out.

Around 11 am near Yavirske village, Izium region, a MAZ petrol truck tripped over a TM-62P3 anti-tank mine in a field. The 61-year-old driver died on the spot.

Yesterday pyrotechnics of the State Emergency Service examined 16.25 hectares of territory and defused 101 explosive ordnance.

According to Ministry of Culture, 207 cultural monuments in Kharkiv oblast were damaged and destroyed during the full-scale war. This is the largest number of objects among other regions of Ukraine. 

Donetsk oblast

Donetsk police stated that a man born in 1959 was killed in Avdiivka after russian air strike. The body is under the rubble, it is currently impossible to get it out due to constant shelling.

Yesterday russians injured 22 civilians: 21 in Pokrovsk and 1 in Avdiivka.

Yesterday morning russians hit Pokrovsk with Iskanders, injuring 21 people, damaging 2 administrative buildings and 2 residential apartment buildings. A farm was also damaged in Dachenske of Pokrovsk community.

Towards Volnovakha, Vuhledar and Bohoiavlenka were shelled, without casualties.

Towards Donetsk, Avdiivka suffered missile attacks, shelling from tanks and artillery and one person was injured. An infrastructure facility was damaged in Kurakhove community. In Novoselivka Prima of Ocheretyne community, 7 buildings were damaged.

Towards Horlivka, 7 buildings were damaged in Toretsk community: 6 in Niu-York and 1 in Toretsk. An apartment building and an industrial building were damaged in Chasiv Yar community.

Towards Lysychansk, Torske, Zarichne of Lyman community, and Siversk were under attack.

Vitalii Barabash, Head of Avdiivka City Military Administration, reported about shooting and massive shelling for the fifth day in a row. UAVs are constantly flying over the city and russians attack as soon as they see crowds of people, which is why they have suspended the delivery of humanitarian aid.

Ihor Moroz, Acting Head of Donetsk Regional Military Administration, said that international organisations are buying wood and briquettes for vulnerable people. The centralised heating system is 100% ready and some boiler houses are equipped with generators. However, during blackouts, the boiler houses may experience interruptions.

Pokrovsk City Military Administration informed that this year, all districts will have heating.

Petro Andriushchenko, Mariupol Mayor’s Counsillor, said that an entire district in downtown Mariupol is being renovated to accommodate russian citizens. All Mariupol residents of the district are either evacuated, displaced or killed. Also russian invaders are closing the entrance to Mariupol from the EU countries.

Luhansk oblast

Six KAB-500 aerial bombs exploded in Nevske after air strikes. The enemy significantly increased its influence from the air, shelling Novoliubivka, Bilohorivka and Serebrianka forestry. They also continue their assault operations near Makiivka where the Armed Forces of Ukraine repelled five more russian attacks. The enemy also opened fire on Nevske and Bilohorivka with artillery and mortars.

The occupation authorities report that power engineers have 90% prepared the power grid complex of the so-called “LPR” for winter. This includes replacing outdated equipment, repairing power grids and reinforcing power lines. These percentages do not include towns and villages occupied in 2022.

In a number of them, the population still has no electricity and in some places only a few buildings are powered. Tens of thousands of people in Kreminna, Sievierodonetsk, Lysychansk, Hirske and Popasna communities are living without electricity.

Lysychansk and Sievierodonetsk are once again left without centralised heating. At the same time, according to the documents, these cities are not frozen but “are included in the heating season, taking into account the operational situation”. In other words, they entered the heating season but without heating.

What is happening now in the north of Ukraine

Kyiv oblast

The Ministry of Health of Ukraine reported that a new innovative department was opened at the Kyiv Regional Center of Rehabilitation Medicine. Every year, more than 600 servicemen will be able to undergo free rehabilitation there. At the end of this May, the first rehabilitation department became operational – 150 Ukrainian servicemen have already received rehabilitation there.

SBI employees have completed a pre-trial investigation into six former policemen of the Berkut special-purpose company, who were the direct perpetrators of the mass shootings of Maidan activists on February 20, 2014, on Instytutska Street in Kyiv. As a result of their actions, 48 participants in the protests died and another 90 were injured by gunshots. Currently, the accused are hiding in the territory of the aggressor country and have become citizens of the russian federation.

The KCSA reported that from October 16, the capital will begin accepting applications for participation in the “70/30” energy efficiency program in 2024. The city program will enable residents of residential buildings in which condominiums have been created to implement energy-efficient measures to reduce the cost of utility services.

A social canteen has opened in Irpin, where free meals will be prepared daily for almost half a thousand people from vulnerable categories of the population. As reported in the city council, it was arranged in the premises of the college of the National University of Bioresources and Nature Management. The services of the social canteen can also be used by people undergoing rehabilitation or who cannot come to the canteen on their own due to their health.

The Kyiv City State Administration reported that on October 13, an information and educational campaign was held on Kontraktova Square in Kyiv, during which rescuers, doctors, psychologists, dog trainers and volunteers conducted trainings on safety in war conditions. Also, anyone willing could take part in a win-win lottery and donate to the treatment of the wounded.

In Boryspil, on October 12, a photo exhibition called “Guarding Life” was opened. Serhiy Kruchynin’s works depict everyday and working moments of the rescuers of Boryspil region. The exhibition was placed in the premises of the old fire station, where the Boryspil Art Gallery is located.

The KMDA reported that despite the war in Kyiv, since the beginning of 2023, communal workers have planted more than 4,000 trees, almost 47,000 bushes and about 5.5 million flowers.

On October 15, Kyiv will host a forum for young people who are looking for opportunities to make their country better – Youth Speak Forum. It will discuss the issues of employment, volunteering, aid to Ukraine, and involvement of youth in reconstruction.

Zhytomyr oblast

Dmytro Rogozhyn, director of Zhytomyrteplocomunenergo reported that in the new heating season, Zhytomyr will be provided with alternative types of electrical energy. According to him, in case of emergencies and blackouts, 43 high-power generators have already been installed in the city, and four more devices are expected to arrive. Part of the city’s boiler houses has additional boiler houses on alternative fuel, the heat of which is enough to prevent the system from defrosting.

The Korosten community handed over 10 drones to the military for a total of over two and a half million hryvnias. Money for drones was allocated at an extraordinary session of the Korosten City Council. As Mayor Volodymyr Moskalenko reported, in general, in 2023, in Korosten, UAH 70 million was allocated from the city budget to help the military.

On October 12, a presentation of a book about the russian-Ukrainian war and russia’s occupation of Crimea took place in the premises of the Zhytomyr “Gnatyuk Art Center”. The author of the book “Wild West of Eastern Europe” is journalist and TV presenter Pavlo Kazarin, who is currently serving in the Armed Forces.

Sumy oblast

During the past day, the russians carried out 22 shelling of the border. A total of 237 strikes were recorded – from mortars, barrel artillery, AGS grenade launchers, SPG, and aerial bombardment from the helicopter with unguided missles (8 explosions). The communities of Yunakivka, Hlukhiv, Velyka Pysarivka, Esman, Bilopillia, Krasnopillia, Putivl, Seredina-Buda came under shelling.

The Sumy Regional Military Administration reported that the russian military shelled the Krasnopillia community, 10 mortar hits were recorded. 

The State Border Service of Ukraine reported that in order to prevent terrorist acts in the Sumy oblast, underground in russia destroy the means of surveillance of the armed forces of the russian federation, which direct the terrorists to the objects of critical infrastructure and the Ukrainian population along the border. In particular, the SBGS showed a video showing the destruction of “Murom” stations in Tyotkino and in the Elizavetovka area.

On October 12, a 13-year-old girl was buried in the village of Uhroidy in Sumy oblast, who was wounded as a result of shelling by the russian army and died in ambulance on the way to the hospital. A fragment of a russian projectile hit Sofia while she was walking near a local school.

The regional department of agro-industrial development reported that this spring, 54,000 hectares of land were not sown in Sumy oblast due to contamination by explosives. In areas 20 km from the state border, 120,000 hectares of agricultural land need to be surveyed. More than two thousand hectares were demined this year.

Chernihiv oblast

During the past 24 hours, the russian military has shelled the border of Chernihiv oblast 6 times from its territory. As reported in the SBGS, a total of 25 explosions were recorded. 4 border communities were shelled: Novhorod-Siverskyi – 2 strikes with unguided missles launched from a helicopter; Semenivka – 5 hits from barrel artillery and mortars, an airstrike by the unguided missles from a helicopter; Snovsk – 15 shots from AGS; Horodnyanka – 3 hits from mortars.

The head of Chernihiv RMA Vyacheslav Chaus announced that more than 200 international governmental and non-governmental organizations are helping communities in Chernihiv oblast to prepare for the heating season. He noted that active preparation of all facilities of the fuel and energy complex is underway, the critical infrastructure of the oblast is provided with alternative power sources, and an action plan is being prepared in case of emergency situations.

russian imperial symbols – the icon of the last russian emperor Nicholas II and his family – were removed from the oldest Transfiguration Cathedral in Chernihiv. As reported in the reserve “Ancient Chernihiv”, the cathedral is part of the National Architectural and Historical Reserve and is state property, which was used as an active church of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (MP).

Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine

Dnipropetrovsk oblast

Mykola Lukashuk, Head ofDnipropetrovsk Oblast Council, reported that about a dozen artillery shots were launched at Nikopol. 4 residential buildings, 3 outbuildings, a greenhouse, fences and 2 power lines were damaged. A Kamikaze drone and about 20 artillery shots landed in settlements of Marhanets and Myrove communities. The shelling damaged 2 buildings, 4 outbuildings and a power line.

Ten people with disabilities are evacuated from Dnipro to a shelter in western Ukraine. The assistance programme is organised by the Vostok SOS charity foundation and the Centre for Social Adaptation of People with Disabilities. People are brought from Kherson, Zaporizhzhia and Donetsk oblasts. In the shelter, they receive help to restore their documents and are provided with essentials.

Vinnytsia oblast

Trench candles for defenders are made by students of Vinnytsia Vocational College of Food Technology. The workshop was set up in one of the classrooms.

Kirovohrad oblast

The XIII Regional Festival of Spiritual Singing, called I Pray for You, Ukraine, was held at the Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine in Kropyvnytskyi. The event was attended by 13 choirs from 11 communities of Kirovohrad oblast.

Poltava oblast

Poltava rescuers received one of 15 vehicles to teach children safety lessons. The region received a special vehicle equipped to teach school students. It is a mobile classroom that will be used by rescuers and police officers to teach, among other things, water safety, fire safety and traffic rules. Training can be conducted inside and near the vehicle.

Cherkasy oblast

A coordination centre for civilian support was launched in Cherkasy oblast. The centre was established to support and coordinate the assistance to the population affected by the armed conflict, including internally displaced persons, war veterans, people with disabilities caused by the war, people with special services to the Motherland and others.

Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine

Zaporizhzhia oblast

According to the NGO “Gulyaypolsky Antiquities”, in Gulyaypole, the russian military shelled the museum-estate of the family of Nestor Makhno. This house was repeatedly used as the headquarters of Makhno’s army.

Towards Zaporizhzhya, the State Border Guard Service shot down two russian military aircraft using anti-drone guns, and destroyed the other five.

Zaporizhzhya Military District Administration reported that   on October 13 the russian army fired 152 times at 22 towns and villages in Zaporizhzhia oblast. 138 artillery attacks took place in Gulyaypole, Orikhiv, Levadne, Chervone, Charivne, Preobrazhenka, Gulyaypolske, Lobkove, Pyatikhatky, Kamianske and other frontline settlements. 

Mykolaiv oblast

Vitaliy Kim, Head of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, said that on October 13, and on the night of October 14, russian troops shelled the city of Ochakiv and its waters with mortars and artillery. A settlement of the Kutsurub community also came under fire, damaging residential buildings and a power line. No one was injured or killed. 

The press service of the Mykolaiv City Council said that a press conference was held in Mykolaiv to report on the assistance provided by the Taiwanese government to Mykolaiv and Kherson oblast, which was received through the work of the ANTS Network for the Protection of National Interests. The organisation purchased construction materials, equipment to eliminate the consequences of the arrivals, charging stations, and laptops for online learning. Mykolaiv received 12,000 linear metres of pipes from the organisation, which it is currently using to eliminate gusts, construction materials, and six vehicles for utilities. 

On October 14, art therapy workshops were organized in Mykolaiv at the Voices of Children Charitable Foundation. The goal of the event is to help improve mental health during a full-scale war. Eight psychologists are working with the children. Classes are free of charge. Ruslana Moroz, head of the psychological program in the southern region, told about it.

Odesa oblast

The press service of the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Odesa oblast reported that Odesa rescuers have received a modern fire tanker from partners from the Netherlands. The vehicle, based on a RENAULT chassis, was donated to Odesa by The Howard G. Buffett Foundation (HGBF). In the near future, the fire truck will be on duty in one of the fire and rescue units of the garrison. 

Vasily Gulyaev, Mayor of Chornomorsk, said that the German city of Wismar has become a twin city of Chornomorsk. The solemn ceremony of signing the agreement on the establishment of sister city relations was attended by the Mayor of Wismar Thomas Bayer, members of the city parliament Frieder Weinhold and Ronnie Ortland, as well as the city’s representative for international relations Andreas Nielsen. It is worth noting that today’s Wismar is one of the most powerful shipbuilding centres in Germany. 

Kherson oblast

Oleksandr Prokudin, Head of Kherson Regional Military Administration reported that around 6:00 and around 16:00, the russian army attacked Beryslav. Two women were killed.

Around 15:00, russian troops attacked Kherson. They hit the area of one of the markets. Two people were wounded. A hit was recorded near a supermarket in Dniprovsky district.

According to the Joint Forces Operation, the russian army fired 117 times at Kherson oblast on October 13, firing 574 shells at civilian infrastructure. One person was killed and five were injured.

Latest news for today in the western regions of Ukraine

Volyn oblast

In Volyn, the process of equipping educational institutions with alarm systems continues. In 518 educational institutions of the oblast, “panic buttons” are installed to call the security service. This is necessary in order to maximally protect children and students in educational institutions under martial law.

Zakarpattia oblast

The RMA held a meeting with representatives of the regional council and Davyd Novy, Consul General of the Czech Republic in Lviv. The discussed rehabilitation of military personnel in the oblast.

Zakarpattia RMA became a stakeholder of the international project Skills2Scale, which is implemented by Uzhhorod National University. The goal of the project is to expand possibilities of high technologies for institutions of higher education.

Ivano-Frankivsk oblast

A meeting was held with the families of captured and missing defenders in Prykarpattia. It was attended by representatives of OVA, the Western Regional Center of the Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War, and Yevgenia Mnyshenko, a representative of the Commissioner of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine for Human Rights in the Ivano-Frankivsk Region. They discussed issues related to the release of Ukrainian prisoners.

In OVA, the parents and wife of Hero, junior sergeant Andrii Hnyp, who died in the war, were awarded the Order “For Courage” of the 3rd degree. The fighter from Ivano-Frankivsk was mobilized to the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in May 2022, he served in the 27th border detachment named after the heroes of Carpathian Sich. Hero died on October 19, 2022 as a result of artillery shelling in the area of ​​the village of Pershotravneve, in Donetsk region.

Lviv oblast

In Horodok, a meeting was held with families of soldiers from Komarno, Horodok, and Velikyi Lyuben, who are currently on the front lines, and families of defenders who were killed at the front. During communication with the leadership of the community, the pension fund, the police and the social protection department, relatives of the defenders discussed their problems and needs and received consultation support.

During the Harbuz-FEST festival and the charity autumn fair in support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Fairytale World Zimnovodovsk education center raised UAH 90K to the needs of the defenders.

In Lopatina, the building of the dormitory of the branch of Dobrotvir Vocational Lyceum was renovated for comfortable and safe living conditions for IDPs and students.

Mykola Pshechenko, a 21-year-old resident of Drohobych, was posthumously awarded 2 awards, namely the For the Defense of Ukraine award in accordance with the Decree of the President of Ukraine and the Cross of the Eagle award signed by the head of the Kharkiv National University of the Air Force named after Ivan Kozhedub. Mykola was killed on March 1, 2022, after an air strike on Kharkiv.

In Sambor, in the Boykivshchyna museum, the MARIIA project is exhibited – the world’s most famous exhibition about the Holodomor in Ukraine. The author of the project is Lesia Marushchak, a Canadian artist of Ukrainian origin. The mobile memorial space consists of archival photographs that convey the history and suffering of millions of people during the Holodomor. This project has already been demonstrated in nine countries.

In the Entrepreneurship Support Center of Lviv City Council, training is ongoing as part of the New Horizons: Military in Business project. During the first week, 16 participants of the first batch learned to draw up business plans and write grant applications to international entrepreneurship support funds. Over the next week, they will build a business marketing strategy, play a business game, and visit a manufacturing facility.

Rivne oblast

The RMA held a meeting with educators, representatives of the State Emergency Service and the police, heads of the RMA and territorial communities. Safety in educational institutions was discussed.

A Safety classroom was opened at Pidloztsiv Lyceum in Duben region. Rescuers gave the children their 1st lesson. Students were told about explosive objects, how to act in case of finding a suspicious object and how to stop bleeding and apply tourniquets. Those who wished had the opportunity to try on the overalls of our sappers.

Ternopil oblast

The RMA reported that one of Ternopil brigades received 5 complexes for combating UAVs, which were developed and improved by Ternopil scientists.

Khmelnytskyi oblast

From Khmelnytskyi, one of the combat units of the territorial defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine received 4 Valkyrie unmanned aerial vehicles and two launch complexes for them worth almost UAH 2 mln. It was purchased with the funds of the city budget

Chernivtsi oblast

The RMA reported that 4 SUVs were handed over to defenders from Chernivtsi oblast. High-speed vehicles were confiscated by court order. Vehicles were sent to military units of border guards, the National Guard and other formations. 

International support of Ukraine in the russian-Ukrainian war (russia’s invasion of Ukraine)

Serhii Marchenko, Minister of Finance of Ukraine, announced that since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the G7 partners have supported Ukraine in all possible directions. In total, over $30 billion were provided in almost 2 years.

Ukrainian pilots will begin F-16 training in the United States next week. Pilots will first learn the basics of operating the F-16 in the classroom and on simulators, before moving on to flying real aircraft, as is typical of any Air Force pilot training program. However, the course may be accelerated due to the urgent need to return them to the battlefield.

Mark Rutte, Prime Minister of the Netherlands, announced that the country will provide missiles for Patriot air defense systems to Ukraine.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President of Ukraine, met with Mark Rutte, Prime Minister of the Netherlands. They discussed our next possible steps regarding the F-16 coalition and increased sanctions against Russia.

Serhii Marchenko, Minister of Finance of Ukraine, met with Christia Freeland, finance ministers of G7 countries — with the Deputy Prime Minister, the Minister of Finance of Canada, Bruno Le Maire, Minister of Finance of Japan, Suzuki Shuichi, the Minister of Economy, Finance, Industrial and Digital Sovereignty of France, Jeremy Gant, Chancellor of the Treasury of the United Kingdom, Christian Lindner, Minister of Finance of the Federal Republic of Germany. Meetings were focused on discussion needs of the state budget of Ukraine next year, as well as the use of frozen assets of the russian Federation for the benefit of Ukraine.

Jens Stoltenberg, NATO Secretary General, announced that F-16 fighter jets, which partners have pledged to provide, will not be enough to protect Ukrainian skies. This requires a multi-layered air defense system.

Bulgaria introduced a tax on the transit of russian gas through its territory. A fee of $10,76 per megawatt-hour of gas of russian origin is being introduced.

Vaagn Khachaturian, President of Armenia, signed the law on the ratification of the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court. Countries that have ratified the Rome Statute are obliged to execute an arrest warrant (especially for putin) from the International Criminal Court.
