It has been the 761st day of the Ukrainian resistance to the russian military aggression. 

What happened in Ukraine today:

Here is operational information of the General Staff as of 6 pm:   

During the day of 25 March, there were 45x tactical engagements. 

The enemy launched a total of 4x missile and 56x air strikes, 43x MLRS attacks on positions of Ukrainian troops and various settlements. Unfortunately, the russian terrorist attacks have killed and wounded civilians. Residential apartment blocks and private houses got destroyed and damaged.

This morning, the enemy fired two ballistic missiles at Kyiv. The Ukrainian air defence forces shot down both missiles. In the evening, the enemy launched another ballistic missile attack at the territory of Ukraine. The aftermath of this attack is being determined.

Volyn and Polissia axes: no significant changes. No signs of formation of an offensive group. 

Sivershchyna and Slobozhanshchyna axes: the adversary maintains its military presence in the russian areas bordering Ukraine. The enemy troops conduct subversion in order to prevent the deployment of Ukrainian troops to threatened axes. The enemy continues shelling of Ukrainian settlements from the territory of russia and increases the concentration of mining operations along the state border of Ukraine. The adversary launched air strikes in the vicinities of Popivka and Iskryskivshchyna (Sumy oblast). More than 20x settlements came under enemy artillery and mortar fire, including Moshchenka, Kostobobriv (Chernihiv oblast), Havrylova Sloboda, Demianivka, Stepok (Sumy oblast), Shevchenka, Kudiivka, Krasne, Hatyshche (Kharkiv oblast).

Kupiansk axis: no enemy offensive operations reported. The adversary launched an airstrike in the vicinity of Makiivka (Luhansk oblast). The invaders fired artillery and mortars at around 10x settlements, including Synkivka, Ivanivka, Stepova Novoselivka (Kharkiv oblast).

Lyman axis: the Ukrainian defenders repelled 13x assaults in the vicinities of Bilohorivka (Luhansk oblast), Terny, Yampolivka, Rozdolivka and north of Vesele (Donetsk oblast), where the enemy, using air attacks, made attempts to breach Ukrainian defence. The enemy fired artillery and mortars at more than 10x settlements, including Bilohorivka (Luhansk oblast), Terny, Yampolivka, Spirne (Donetsk oblast).

Bakhmut axis: the Ukrainian defenders repelled 2x attacks in the vicinity of Klishchiivka (Donetsk oblast). The enemy launched air strikes in the vicinities of Novomarkove, Chasiv Yar, Pivdenne (Donetsk oblast). Around 10x settlements came under artillery and mortar fire, including Bohdanivka, Kalynivka, Klishchiivka, Chasiv Yar (Donetsk oblast).

Avdiivka axis: the Ukrainian defenders repelled 3x attacks in the vicinities of Berdychi, Pervomaiske (Donetsk oblast). The occupiers launched air strikes in the vicinities of Oleksandropil, Arkhanhelske, Ocheretyne and Umanske (Donetsk oblast). The invaders fired artillery and mortars at around 20x settlements, including Novobakhmutivka, Semenivka, Umanske, Nevelske (Donetsk oblast).

Novopavlivka axis: the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to block the enemy near Novomykhailivka, where the invaders, using air attacks, made 15x attempts to breach Ukrainian defence. The occupiers launched air strikes in the vicinities of Krasnohorivka, Kostyantynivka, Urozhaine (Donetsk oblast). The enemy fired artillery and mortars at around 20x settlements, including Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, Paraskoviivka, Kostyantynivka (Donetsk oblast).

Orikhiv axis: the enemy, with air support, conducted 3x attacks on positions of Ukrainian defenders in the vicinities of Staromaiorske (Donetsk oblast), southwest of Bilohiria and northwest of Verbove (Zaporizhzhia oblast). The adversary launched air strikes in the vicinities of Mykilske and Robotyne (Zaporizhzhia oblast). Around 20x settlements, including Chervone, Bilohiria, Robotyne, Shcherbaky, Piatykhatky (Zaporizhzhia oblast), were under artillery and mortar fire of the occupiers.

Kherson axis: the enemy did not conduct offensive operations. The occupiers fired artillery and mortars at more than 10 settlements, including Solonchaky, Ivanivka, Tiahynka (Kherson oblast).

During the day of 25 March, the Ukrainian Air Force launched air strikes on 9x concentrations of troops, weapons and military equipment of the occupiers.

The Ukrainian Missile Forces hit 1x air defence system, 1x artillery system, 1x electronic warfare station, 1x concentration of troops, 1x UAVs control station of the russian invaders.


YASNO General Director Serhii Kovalenko said that DTEK lost 50% of its generating facilities during the russian attack on 22 March. This is the biggest attack on the energy sector since the war began. It is still being investigated how much time and money will be needed for the restoration.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that over the past week, russia has launched almost 190 missiles, 140 Shahed drones and 700 KAB bombs at Ukraine. Recovery efforts are currently ongoing in some oblasts after russian strikes on the night of 22 March.

Recent war events in the east of Ukraine

Kharkiv oblast

According to the evening report of the General Staff, there were no russian assaults towards Kupiansk over the day. About 14 settlements in Kharkiv oblast were under artillery and mortar attack.

The press service of the Ministry of Energy reported that 215,800 consumers have no electricity in Kharkiv. According to the city council, almost 80% of consumers have been supplied with power by now.

The press service of the heat and power plant said that the restoration of CHP-5 after russian spelling will take more than a year.

According to the director of CHP-5 Oleksander Minkovych, the restoration of the centre involves the manufacture of exclusive equipment for power units, including turbines and generators.

During the week of 18-24 March, six residents of Kharkiv oblast were killed by russian strikes. Another 21 people were injured as a result of shelling and explosions of russian munitions. Most cases of deaths or injuries were recorded in Kharkiv during the week.

Oleh Syniehubov, Head of Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, reported that at the invitation of the RMA, the Food Train team prepared hot meals on the train for several weeks for residents of the de-occupied Izium region. After the invaders cut off the power supply to Kharkiv, the team arrived in Kharkiv and in three days prepared almost 15,000 meals for hospital patients and IDPs in dormitories.

At around 1pm, the invaders attacked Vovchansk, Chuhuiv region. A 65-year-old man was killed in the shelling.

The SES press service informed that the GCS-200 mechanised demining vehicle exploded on an anti-tank mine in Izium region. They added that the rotor of the vehicle was damaged but no one was injured.

On 25 March, a tractor tripped over a TM-62P anti-tank mine in a field near Pryshyba village, Izium region. The tractor driver was injured.

Oleksandr Kulik, Spokesman of Derhachi City Council, said that the private sector was hit. At least two houses were destroyed and about ten private households damaged. Four people suffered light injuries and stress.

About 15 settlements in Kharkiv oblast were hit by enemy artillery and mortar attacks yesterday: Veterynarne, Borysivka, Ambarne and others. Kozacha Lopan, Zolochiv and Starytsia were hit by airstrikes.

At 10:02pm, 5 private houses were damaged as a result of enemy KAB attack of Zolochiv village, Bohodukhiv region. There were no casualties.

At 9:15pm, the enemy shelled Kozacha Lopan village, Kharkiv region, by KAB bombs. An open area was hit, no casualties.

At 6pm, Kurylivka village, Kupiansk region, was targeted, with no casualties.

Yesterday towards Kupiansk, the enemy launched an unsuccessful attack near Synkivka.

Combined teams of bomb experts cleared 15.77 hectares of the territory and defused 167 explosive ordnance.

157 children were evacuated from two communities: Vilkhuvatka – 37, Velykyi Burluk – 120.

Power engineers continue working 24/7 to eliminate the consequences of russian attacks. At the moment 220,000 consumers are with no electricity.

Donetsk oblast

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that Ukrainian troops repelled 51 russian attacks on the frontlines of Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts. Most of the fighting was towards Novopavlivka.

Oleh Kalashnikov, Spokesman of the 26th Artillery Brigade, stated that towards Bakhmut, russian troops are storming the positions of the Ukrainian military near Chasiv Yar. The capture of this town will allow them to reach Kramatorsk and Sloviansk.

Over the previous week, specialists were able to repair a number of damages to the power supply system and restored electricity to 32 settlements where 4,872 families live.

The operational situation in the oblast as of the morning of 25 March is following:

Towards Pokrovsk, in Marinka community, 3 people were injured in Krasnohorivka, and Zoriane and Maksymilianivka shelled. 7 houses were damaged in Kurakhivka.

Towards Kramatorsk, in Lyman community, 5 houses were destroyed and 1 damaged in Ivanivka, 11 houses destroyed and 1 damaged in Terny, 4 houses destroyed and 5 damaged in Yampolivka. Mykolaivka and Dyliivka of Kostiantynivka community were under attack.

Towards Bakhmut, 2 apartment buildings and 2 private houses were damaged in Chasiv Yar. An infrastructure facility was damaged in Toretsk community. A house was damaged in Siversk.

1038 people, including 155 children, were evacuated from the frontline.

Vadym Filashkin, Head of Donetsk Regional Military Administration, informed that yesterday russians wounded 3 civilians in Krasnohorivka. 

Luhansk oblast

In the villages of Krasnorichensk community, there are many completely destroyed or mutilated households. The villages suffer from russian shelling several times a day. This is recorded by local authorities and Luhansk police, who document every such crime of the invaders. Last week, the enemy destroyed a residential building in Makiivka and two more earlier in Nevske.

Artem Lysohor, Head of Luhansk Regional Military Administration, reported that throughout the day, russians stormed our positions in Bilohorivka, where at least 5 enemy attacks were successfully repelled.

The enemy used aviation near Bilohorivka and Serebrianka forest. Makiivka was under artillery attack.

According to Luhansk RMA, taking into account the number of completed ballots, more than 1.5m people allegedly took part in the voting on the territory of the so-called ‘”lpr”. However, last year alone, about 600,000 of them applied for russian passports. In addition, it is known that in 2022, less than 300,000 people received passports in all the territories occupied at that time. This is about 50% of the total number of those who voted.

Collaborators in the occupied Luhansk oblast continue to give away the oblast’s coal mining enterprises for nothing. The investor is chosen independently and no bidding is held. The relevant law was adopted last year, which is as opaque as possible. Six mines already have new owners. Applications have been submitted for five more.

What is happening now in the north of Ukraine

Kyiv oblast

The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that around 10:30am, the russians attacked Kyiv with two ballistic missiles from the temporarily occupied Crimea. The Air Force of Ukraine destroyed the targets.

In the capital, as a result of a rocket attack, a high-rise building in Pecherskyi district was damaged. Falling debris was also recorded in Solomyanskyi and Dniprovskyi districts. In Pecherskyi district of the capital, there were 10 victims, two of whom were hospitalised. Debris clearance continues.

The Ministry of Culture and Information Policy reported that part of the building of the M. Boichuk Academy of Decorative and Applied Arts and Design in Kyiv was destroyed as a result of russian rocket shelling. The central part of the building was destroyed – the sports hall, congress hall and exhibition centre were completely destroyed. The premises of the departments and the auditorium of the institution were also significantly damaged.

DTEK reported that energy workers have restored power supply to buildings in Kyiv oblast, which were cut off as a result of a missile attack by russian troops on 24 March. Debris from enemy rockets damaged power grids in the oblast, leaving 1,460 families without power. Currently, all homes have electricity again.

The US Ambassador to Ukraine Bridget Brink visited a water filter production enterprise in Kyiv oblast. The company resumed production after the destruction of the facilities with the help of USAID, regaining market share and saving more than 200 jobs.

In Bucha, a major overhaul of a five-story building on Kyivo-Myrotska Street, which was damaged by shelling in the spring of 2022, is in progress. Before the war, more than 100 people lived in a high-rise building with 48 apartments. This is one of the objects that are being rebuilt at the expense of the Fund for the Elimination of the Consequences of Armed Aggression.

Zhytomyr oblast

Zhytomyr City Council reported that in Zhytomyr, they farewelled Serhii Petruk, who was killed almost a month and a half ago, on 12 February, while performing a combat mission. The soldier was buried at Smolianske Military Cemetery.

Sumy oblast

Sumy RMA reported that on the night and morning of 25 March, russian invaders carried out five attacks on the border territories of the oblast and 11 explosions were recorded. The enemy fired mortars at Shalyhine, Nova Sloboda and Seredyna-Buda communities, and shelled Svesa community by artillery.

During the past day, 24 March, the russian military shelled territory of three communities 12 times, a total of 50 explosions were recorded. As reported in the regional military administration, the enemy fired a mortar and launched an airstrike on the territory of the Velyka Pysarivka community. On the Krasnopillia community, the enemy dropped a VOG from a UAV and shelled it with artillery.

On the afternoon of 24 March, the russian army hit the village of Peremoha in Bilopillia community by three guided aerial bombs. As a result of the shelling, the energy infrastructure facility, private houses and commercial buildings were damaged.

In Chernechchyna community of Okhtyrka region, they plan to build a modern outpatient clinic with a shelter. Since October 2023, the institution has been operating in a new modular dispensary, installed on the site of a building destroyed by the russians, which will later be converted to meet the needs of rehabilitation. The implementation of this project became possible thanks to the United24 initiative.

Volunteers of the Sumy regional organisation of the Red Cross Society of Ukraine and the Pluriton NGO transported residents of Velyka Pysarivka community from Okhtyrka to Sumy. Next, people will go to the village of Bilivtsi, Chernivtsi oblast. This is the first such evacuation of families with children from Velyka Pysarivka community to the west of the country. In total, the volunteers took out 10 adults and 13 children, including a one-month-old baby.

Chernihiv oblast

During the past day, russian troops shelled three villages of Semenivka and Snovska communities. As reported by the SBGS, in total, the enemy launched 13 mortar strikes and 49 grenade launcher strikes.

Viacheslav Chaus, Head of Chernihiv RMA, reported that over the past week, the enemy shelled 20 settlements in the oblast 46 times. During this period, 274 explosions were recorded, including 9 airstrikes. Four people were injured. As a result of shelling, the cultural centre was destroyed, critical infrastructure objects and civilian transport damaged.

Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine

Dnipropetrovsk oblast

In the evening and late at night the enemy attacked Nikopol region 3 times. The occupiers fired about a dozen artillery shells and hit from Grad targeting the oblast’s centre, Marhanets and Myrove communities. There were no casualties or damage. 

From morning to eveningm russians continue to attack Nikopol region. They carried out about a dozen attacks, launched kamikaze drones and fired from artillery. Nikopol, Marhanets and Myrove communities were hit. An agricultural company, 5 private houses, a shop, a car, 2 power lines and a gas pipeline were damaged. There were no casualties.

Vinnytsia oblast

Vinnytsia municipality sent another aid package for 3 military units. This time 12 Bandera Power 225S multi-channel fast charging units, 7 searchlights, 11 thermal imaging monoculars, 3 DJI Mavic 3 Thermal quadcopters were sent to the defenders.

Kirovohrad oblast

Andrii Raikovych, Head of the RMA, reported that during the day there were explosions in some communities of Kirovograd oblast. There were no casualties or damage.

Poltava oblast

The Azov Regiment – Angels of Mariupol exhibition was presented at the Kredmash Palace of Culture in Kremenchuk. It is dedicated to the fallen soldiers of Azov. It features more than 200 photos with fallen soldiers’ biographies from all over Ukraine. Vira Lytvynenko, the author and its promoter, claimed that the exhibition will run for about 2 weeks and will be extended if necessary.

Cherkasy oblast

In Monastyryshche, the fallen soldier Oleksandr Zaitsev was posthumously awarded the Order for Courage, III grade. The state award was given to the defender’s mother. Oleksandr was killed in action on 16 January, 2023 in  Luhansk oblast.

Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine

Zaporizhzhia oblast

Yesterday the russian military launched 258 strikes on 9 settlements in Zaporizhzhia oblast. Military personnel conducted 6 aviation strikes on Malynivka, Robotyne and Mala Tokmachka. Additionally, 22 UAVs attacked Huliaipole, Levadne, Robotyne, Mala Tokmachka, Malynivka, and Novoandriivka. Artillery strikes targeted the territories of Huliaipole, Robotyne, Novoandriivka, Malynivka, Mala Tokmachka, Levadne, Priutne, Verbove and Novodanylivka. There have been 5 reports of damage to residential buildings and infrastructure, but civilians were unharmed.

According to General Staff, russian aggressors attacked the positions of Ukrainian forces three times near the populated settlements of Staramaiorske in Donetsk oblast and Robotyne in Zaporizhzhia oblast. They used air support during assault attacks.

A special headquarters has been established to fully restore traffic flow through the DniproHES dam. Currently, two lanes are operational, allowing vehicles to pass with restricted speed. Various traffic options via bridge crossings are also being considered to expedite passage across the Dnipro River.

The concentration of petroleum products in the Dnipro River has decreased following the russian rocket attack on Dnipro Hydroelectric Power Station on 22 March. Laboratory tests conducted by the State Water Agency and State Ecological Inspection show gradual improvement in water quality indicators in the Dnipro River as of 24 March.

A fire broke out at the Central Market in Berdiansk. Approximately 10 roller shutter kiosks selling clothing were engulfed in flames on the market premises. The occupation authorities have not disclosed the cause of the massive fire.

Huliaipole Antiquities NGO is urging residents to evacuate family archives from the city or other settlements along the frontline. They recently removed another extensive family archive from Huliaipole, consisting of 5 albums with old photos illustrating the family’s history throughout the 20th century. The scanning and analysis of these materials are currently underway. Such materials are invaluable for the history of the region and the reconstruction of events throughout the 20th century.

Mykolaiv oblast

Vitalii Kim, Head of Mykolaiv RMA, reported that on the night of 25 March, air defence units destroyed 4 russian Shahed 131/136 drones in Mykolaiv oblast. Also russian forces targeted energy infrastructure facilities. Debris from the downed Shahed 131/136 UAV fell on the private sector, causing a fire in residential houses and 2 cars. The fire was promptly extinguished. 11 people were injured, 9 of whom received medical treatment on-site and 2 hospitalised.

Odesa oblast

According to the Ukrenerho, on the night of 25 March, russian forces attacked energy infrastructure facilities, mainly in southern Ukraine. Due to equipment damage in Odesa and the oblast, power companies are forced to apply emergency power outages and extend the period of consumption restrictions. This is necessary to protect the surviving equipment from overloading, which can cause additional technological damage. 

Yurii Vaskov, Deputy Minister for Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Development of Ukraine, said that 90% of external trade is currently conducted through Danube and Greater Odesa ports. February marked a record for Ukrainian exports, reaching 8m tonnes. A similar trend is expected in March. Today, Danube ports are exporting 1.8-1.9m tonnes, which is 50% (4m tonnes) of their maximum in the wartime period. The reason behind this decrease is the blockade of Odesa ports.

Kherson oblast

Yesterday the enemy shelled Novovorontsovka, Oleksandrivka, Novoberyslav, Shyrokа Balka, Veletenske, Poniativka, Sadove, Sofiivka, Zolota Balka, Dniprovske and the city of Kherson. The russian military personnel targeted residential quarters in the settlements of the oblast, resulting in damage to one multi-story building and four private houses. Also, critical infrastructure objects and vehicles were damaged as a result of the attacks. The police documented 5 war crimes committed by the russian army against the civilian population on the right bank of Kherson oblast.

Daily counter-battery combat continues in the operational zone of the Southern Defense Forces. The enemy launched an assault on the left bank of the Dnipro River. After suffering losses, they withdrew to their original positions.

The Southern Defense Forces continue to deliver fire strikes on the enemy’s deployment areas, firing positions and rear areas. Yesterday the enemy lost 112 occupiers and 27 pieces of armament and military equipment towards Orikhiv and Kherson.

Roman Mrochko, Head of Kherson City Military Administration, said that the heating season ended on 25 March. This year, the season started on 21 November, 2023. Heat was supplied to 1200 multi-story buildings, all medical facilities and some educational institutions. Overall, the heating season proceeded smoothly. However, people spent two to three days in cold homes due to damage to the heating mains caused by shelling. Damages to the heating networks due to shelling were repaired weekly by utility workers.

The sowing campaign for the 2024 harvest continues in Kherson oblast. This year, the total sown area of ​​agricultural crops is expected to reach 153,000 hectares. Winter crops are supplemented with spring cereals, legumes, and industrial crops. Additionally, watermelons, melons, and vegetables are being planted.

Latest news for today in the western regions of Ukraine

Volyn oblast

The RMA reported that relatives of Oleksii Khodyrev, Denys Kostiuk and Vitalii Shevchuk, fallen defenders of Ukraine, were presented with their awards – III degree For Courage orders (posthumously).

Zakarpattia oblast

Zakarpattia RMA is strengthening its partnership with the Step by Step international association (ISSA) and the Partners Hungary Foundation. From now on, cooperation will continue in the direction of supporting the early development of children belonging to national communities, as well as in the field of preventing and combating discrimination against their representatives.

A special officer of the Special Operations Center “A” of the Security Service of Ukraine was presented with a certificate for housing. An apartment in a new building in Uzhhorod was given to a military man who is currently undergoing rehabilitation after being seriously wounded on the front line.

A delegation from the Czech region of Vysochyna paid a humanitarian visit to the Office of the Patrol Police in Zakarpattia oblast and the outpatient clinic of general practice – family medicine in the village of Lyuta. Two ambulance vehicles were handed over to patrolmen and medics from the hinterland.

Ivano-Frankivsk oblast

In Ivano-Frankivsk, in the Obelisk park, the annotation boards of Oleksandr Bostan, Andrii Shchaslivy-Fedoriv, ​​Volodymyr Beley, Roman Podobnyi, Roman Krychuk, Volodymyr Oleksyn, Dmytro Yevdokimov, Vasyl Kostyshyn, Mykola Ivasiuk and Liubomyr Zamorzevych from the village of Bratkivtsi, were opened.

Lviv oblast

Over 400 people climbed the highest mountain in Ukraine Hoverla and thus raised UAH 220,000 for a thermal imaging drone for the 80th separate amphibious assault brigades. Such a quest was organised by the youth and sports department of Lviv RMA together with partners to support the legendary Halytsia brigade within the framework of the 60th anniversary of Hoverliana. The youngest climbing participant is 5 years old. The oldest is over 80. 40 fighters of the brigade also climbed to 2,061 metres above sea level. These are defenders who are currently on rotation or rehabbing after an injury. Pavlo Luchkiv, champion of the Invictus Games and veteran of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, also participated.

The Memorial of Chess Warriors international charity chess tournament was held in Vynnyky, dedicated to the memory of the heroes of the russian-Ukrainian war who were killed at the front and went missing. All tournament contributions, as well as funds from the charity auction, were given to the soldiers of the 125th brigade of the Territorial Defense Forces. Martyn Kravtsiv, winner of the competition in the men’s category, donated his monetary reward, amounting to UAH 20,000, to the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Students of Murovanskyi Lyceum, together with their parents, organised a screening of the children’s fairy tale opera Thumble (based on the work of the same name by Andersen). Students performed for their fellow villagers on the stage of the educational institution. At the end of the event, a charity fundraiser took place among the audience. The collected UAH 15,265 will be donated to the needs of the defenders.

Rivne oblast

Rivne oblast received the first evacuation train from Donetsk oblast this year. 59 people arrived in the oblast, including 25 children and 6 people with disabilities. The largest number of people were settled in Hoshchansk and Zdolbuniv communities.

Farmers of Rivne oblast received state support. 24 representatives of family farms in the oblast received over UAH 159,000. This is an additional payment of the single social contribution for the II and III quarters of last year.

Ternopil oblast

Representatives of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine and the Consultative Mission of the European Union visited Ternopil oblast. Possibilities of civil defence services to respond to threats of radiation and chemical contamination were discussed.

Ternopilelectrotrans of Ternopil City Council sent equipment, namely, a power compressor, a grinding machine, a brushless cordless screwdriver-drill, an angle grinder, a set of extractors, sets of keys, multimeters, shields of an electric welder, manual jigsaws, a BOSH charger, etc., worth UAH 50,540 to the military.

Ternopil City Council reported that 47 children of defenders and Heroes of Ternopil went on vacation to a health camp in the Carpathians. For eleven days, a rich program awaits young tourists with excursions, ski races, bathing in thermal waters and much more.

Khmelnytskyi oblast

Khmelnytskyi City Council reported that the community sent 8 AUTEL 4 PRO MAX T quadcopters worth UAH 1.8m to the military. Since the beginning of 2024, the community has already sent 148 quadcopters and over 1,400 FPV drones worth over UAH 52m.

Chernivtsi oblast

All oblasts of Ukraine, including Chernivtsi oblast, are involved in the construction of fortifications. Subcontractors are involved in the execution of works on specified fortification and engineering facilities. Representatives of the Department of Capital Construction of Chernivtsi oblast are also seconded to coordinate the work. All works are supervised by the Ministry of Defense.

International support of Ukraine in the russian-Ukrainian war (russia’s invasion of Ukraine)

At a meeting in Tallinn on 23-24 March, the Standing Committee of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly decided to grant the Ukrainian delegation to the PA the status of a candidate for NATO. The number of delegates from Ukraine to the NATO PA will be increased from 8 to 12, which will correspond to the number of delegates that the member countries of the alliance have.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President of Ukraine, had a phone conversation with Pedro Sanchez, Prime Minister of Spain. They discussed Ukraine’s need to strengthen air defence.

Adrian Efros, Minister of Internal Affairs of Moldova, announced that border guards of Moldova plan to cooperate with the Ukrainian authorities and help catch evaders trying to escape from Ukraine through the Transnistrian region.

Alexander De Croo, Prime Minister of Belgium, stated that the EU should abandon nuclear fuel from russia. He admitted that changing the supply system in nuclear energy is a difficult task, but it must be done promptly.

In Thessaloniki, Ukrainians held a protest against russian shelling. Ukrainians marched along the central streets of the city to once again remind Greek society and foreign tourists about the war in Ukraine and draw the attention of local authorities, mass media and public figures to the terrorist actions of the russian federation, which it constantly commits in Ukraine.

A protest against Mondelez International took place near the Cadbury World chocolate museum in Birmingham, England. It was organised by members of the Ukrainian diaspora in Great Britain. They emphasised that Mondelez publicly promised to reduce its activities in the russian market, and instead paid £48m of income tax to the kremlin in 2022 and is developing the activities of 3 factories on the territory of russia.
