It has been the 753th day of the Ukrainian resistance to the russian military aggression. 

What happened in Ukraine today:

Here is operational information of the General Staff as of 6 pm:   

During the day, there were 63 combat clashes.

In total, the enemy launched 7 missile and 55 air strikes, carried out 62 MLRS attacks on the positions of our troops and populated areas. As a result of russian terrorist attacks, unfortunately, there are dead and wounded among the civilian population. High-rise and private buildings were destroyed and damaged. 

Towards Volyn and Polissia, the operational situation has not changed significantly. No signs of the formation of enemy offensive groups were detected. 

Towards Siversk and Sloboda, the enemy maintains a military presence in the border areas, conducts sabotage and reconnaissance activities, shells settlements from the territory of the russian federation, and increases the density of minefields along the state border of Ukraine. The enemy carried out airstrikes in the areas of the settlements of Lukashivka in Chernihiv oblast and Velyka Pysarivka, Popivka, Oleksandrivka, Luhivka in Sumy oblast. More than 20 settlements were hit by enemy artillery and mortar fire, including Kliusy and Hirsk of Chernihiv oblast; Pustohorod, Iskryskivshchyna, Popivka of the Sumy Oblast; Kozacha Lopan, Starytsia, and Hatyshche of Kharkiv oblast.

Towards Kupiansk, the enemy carried out 2 unsuccessful assaults on the positions of the Defense Forces in the area of the settlement of Synkivka, Kharkiv oblast. It carried out an airstrike in the area of the settlement of Basove, Kharkiv oblast. More than 10 settlements, including Synkivka, Ivanivka, and Berestove of the Kharkiv oblast, came under artillery and mortar fire.

Towards Lyman, our soldiers repelled 1 enemy attack in the area of the settlement of Rozdolivka, Donetsk oblast, where the enemy tried to break through the defense of our troops. More than 20 settlements were affected by artillery and mortar shelling, including Bilohorivka in the Luhansk Oblast, Terny, Yampolivka, Torske, Serebryanka, Spirne in Donetsk Oblast.

Towards Bakhmut, our soldiers repelled 7 enemy attacks in the areas of Ivanivske and Klishchiivka settlements of Donetsk oblast. About 10 settlements, including Chasiv Yar, Ivanivske, and Niu York of Donetsk region, came under artillery and mortar fire.

In the Avdiivka direction, our defenders repelled 11 enemy attacks in the areas of Berdychi, Tonenke, Pervomaiske, Orlivka, Oleksandropil and Nevelske settlements of the Donetsk oblast. The enemy carried out airstrikes in the areas of Netaylove and Novoselivka Persha settlements. About 20 settlements, including Novobakhmutivka, Netaylove, Pervomaiske of the Donetsk oblast, were hit by artillery and mortar shelling.

Towards Novopavlivka, the Defense Forces continue to restrain the enemy in the areas of Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, Novomykhailivka and Pobieda, where the enemy, with the support of aviation, tried to break through the defences of our troops 25 times. The enemy also launched an airstrike in the Shakhtarske area. About 20 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire from the occupiers, including Krasnohorivka, Kostyantynivka, Vuhledar, Prechystivka of Donetsk oblast.

Towards Orikhiv, the enemy attacked the positions of our defenders 5 times in the areas of Robotyne and northwest of Verbovo, Zaporizhzhia oblast. It carried out airstrikes in the area of the settlement of Staromayorske, Donetsk oblast. About 15 settlements, including Poltavka, Charivne, Huliaipole, Mala Tokmachka of Zaporizhzhia oblast, were hit by artillery and mortar shelling.

Towards Kherson, the enemy carried out 3 attacks on the positions of our troops on the left bank of the Dnieper.  More than 10 settlements were hit by artillery and mortar shelling, including Ochakiv, Mykolaiv oblast; Kozatske, Tyaginka, Ivanivka, Sadove of Kherson oblast.

The Air Force of the Defense Forces struck 6 buildups of enemy personnel, weapons and military equipment. 

Units of rocket forces inflicted damage on 2 buildups of enemy personnel.


Chiara Dezzi Bardeschi, Head of the UNESCO Office in Ukraine, states that since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, russia has damaged 346 cultural sites in Ukraine. She also notes that UNESCO has repeatedly condemned attacks on Ukraine’s cultural heritage and World Cultural Heritage sites.

Ukrainian GDP grew in January-February 2024 at 3.6%. This was announced by the Minister of Economy Yuliia Svyrydenko. This was facilitated by investment demand, favorable weather conditions for construction work, exports of agricultural products, the operation of the Ukrainian sea corridor, the expansion of production capacities in the mining industry and stability in the energy sector.

Recent war events in the east of Ukraine

Kharkiv oblast

Oleh Syniehubov, Head of Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, reported that russians fired at a temporary station of medical assistance in Buhaivka village, Vovchansk community, at 9:15am. A 36-year-old paramedic and a 56-year-old ambulance driver were injured. They are currently being treated in a hospital in Kharkiv. The one-storey house where the medical workers were staying, the buildings nearby and two ambulances were damaged.

The press service of the Regional Prosecutor’s Office informed that a 62-year-old resident of Kivsharivka, Kupiansk region, was injured in the morning. The attack was allegedly carried out by MRLs. Residential buildings and an educational institution were damaged.

Kharkiv police said that a 72-year-old man was injured as a result of the strikes on Vovchansk by the KAB bombs at around 3:30pm The strike caused a fire in a private house.

About 15 settlements in Kharkiv oblast suffered russian artillery and mortar attacks yesterday: Synkivka, Ivanivka, Lukianets, Berestove and others. The enemy launched airstrikes on Starytsia and Lyptsi.

At 4:14pm, Lyptsi village, Kharkiv region, was attacked. As a result of the enemy aerial shelling by KAB bombs, an educational institution and a private house were damaged. There were no casualties. As a result of russian strikes, windows were broken in Lyptsi lyceum, the premises and furniture damaged. At least 15 houses were destroyed and the road damaged.

At 8:35pm, Dovhenke village, Kupiansk region, was shelled. There were no casualties.

The enemy did not conduct any offensive actions towards Kupiansk yesterday.

Combined teams of bomb experts cleared 20.28 hectares of mines and destroyed 382 explosive ordnance.

5 children with their families were evacuated over the day. To date, 134 children have been evacuated from two communities: 33 from Vilkhuvatka and 101 from Velykyi Burluk.

Donetsk oblast

Anastasiia Blyshchyk, Spokeswoman of the 47th Brigade, confirmed that towards Avdiivka, after a period of small-scale reconnaissance attacks, the invaders began to advance with larger forces and heavy equipment.

Vasyl Chynchyk, Head of Toretsk Administration, stated that more than 400 people have been injured and at least 130 killed in the community since the start of the full-scale invasion.

Ukrainian partisans raised a blue and yellow flag in occupied Makiivka. Activists of the Yellow Ribbon movement said that it was installed on a mountain near the road in one of the neighbourhoods of the occupied city.

Donetsk police reported that russian occupation forces shelled residential areas of Donetsk 10 times. The shelling damaged 22 civilian objects. They attacked 1518 times along the frontline.

Donetsk police added that yesterday the russian army attacked Selydove by a UMPB-D30SM planning bomb. The strike destroyed and damaged eight apartment buildings, an educational institution, two administrative buildings and a power line. A water pumping station was also de-energised, leaving more than 12,000 customers without water supply.

Towards Volnovakha, a non-residential building was damaged in Novoukrainka of Vuhledar community.

Towards Pokrovsk, in Ocheretyne community, 1 person was killed and 1 injured in Novoselivka Persha. 1 person was injured in Krasnohorivka of Marinka community. A person was injured, 3 administrative buildings and 8 apartment buildings damaged in Selydove; 3 buildings of an agricultural enterprise were damaged in Tsukuryne. 4 houses were damaged in Kurakhivka of Kurakhove community. A person was injured, 3 administrative buildings, 8 apartment buildings and 2 shops damaged in Myrnohrad. Two houses were damaged in Kalynove of Novohrodivka community.

Towards Kramatorsk, a school was shelled again in Terny of Lyman community. The outskirts of Kostiantynivka community were under attack.

Towards Bakhmut, 5 private houses and an industrial building were damaged in Chasiv Yar community. A house was damaged in Toretsk.

In total, russians attacked settlements in Donetsk oblast 14 times over the day. 872 people, including 101 children, were evacuated.

Vadym Filashkin, Head of Donetsk Regional Military Administration, reported that yesterday russians killed one civilian in Novoselivka Persha. 4 more people were injured in the oblast over the day.

Luhansk oblast

Yesterday russians focused their attack exclusively on Bilohorivka, which was repelled by Ukrainian defenders. There were no combat engagements registered in other sectors. The enemy used aircraft to attack Novoiehorivka. They fired more than 70 times at the liberated Nevske, Makiivka and Novoliubivka.

According to Luhansk Regional Military Administration, the decision to establish Luhansk cadet corps of the Investigative Committee of the russian federation has already been approved by the occupying government. They will try to make it by the beginning of the new year. They will select young men and women who are susceptible to russian propaganda.

Artem Lysohor, Head of Luhansk RMA, said that Novopskov community was occupied in the first days of the war. Almost all critical infrastructure has survived. However, the population is forced to use water from wells, mostly those who have them.

The powerful generators were delivered to Bilokurakyne and Lozno-Oleksandrivka village military administrations of Svatove region. The equipment was provided by Luhansk regional organisation of the Ukrainian Red Cross Society. Specifically, a 37kW generator on a trailer was delivered to Bilokurakyne for the needs of the village administration. Lozno-Oleksandrivka received a 60kW generator.

Roman Vlasenko, Head of Sievierodonetsk Regional Military Administration, reported that in the temporarily occupied Sievierodonetsk region, the turnout during the illegally organised presidential election was formed by russian citizens, including the military of the occupying army who are in the occupied settlements.

What is happening now in the north of Ukraine

Kyiv oblast

A performance took place in Kyiv near the Taras Shevchenko National Academic Theater of Opera and Ballet. People came out to commemorate the second anniversary of the airstrike on the Drama Theater in Mariupol, as well as to support captured Ukrainian soldiers. A symbolic inscription “CHILDREN” was created near the building.

In Darnytskyi district of Kyiv, units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are conducting training. Kyiv City Military Administration reported that these are planned measures of the military. Residents of the city are urged to remain calm.

Representatives of the international organization UNIDO visited Irpin. The delegation was headed by the senior coordinator of the institution in Ukraine Stefan Sikars. As reported by the City Council, the main purpose of the visit is the implementation of the project to create a new educational and industrial hub. On the basis of the hub, all interested parties will be able to acquire theoretical and practical skills in 3D modelling, laser engraving, learn to create a product and test its production.

Kyiv will cooperate with leading accessibility experts during the reconstruction of public spaces. It is planned to start with facilities near medical institutions where Ukrainian defenders undergo treatment and rehabilitation. The relevant memorandum was signed on March 15 by the Department of Environmental Protection and Adaptation to Climate Change of the KCSA and the Superhumans Center.

On 19 March, DonorUA will organize a blood donation in the Church of St. Nicholas in Kyiv. The blood collection procedure will be carried out by specialists of Kyiv City Blood Center. Anyone can help military and civilians in Kyiv hospitals with prior registration.

Social workers from 18 communities of Kyiv oblast will receive electric scooters. On 14 March, an official ceremony was held to hand over electric scooters, the purchase of which was made possible thanks to UNDP Ukraine/UNDP in Ukraine and funding from the Japanese government.

Zhytomyr oblast

Philanthropists from Zhytomyr oblast donated a thousand Ukrainian-language children’s books to Shostka Library. Currently, the Independent Professional Union “Kromberg and Schubert” and Zhytomyr Center for Creativity of Children and Youth are supporting border libraries to free the shelves of book collections from russian-language editions and fill them with modern Ukrainian-language literature. Residents of Zhytomyr oblast join the collection.

Valentin Kovalchuk, artist from Andrushyvka, creates pictures depicting the events of the war in Ukraine in the genres of surrealism and abstraction. Starting from February 2022, the artist has created 10 canvases, and in the fall he plans to hold his own exhibition.

Sumy oblast

Around 3:50pm, two explosions rang out in Sumy during an air raid. As reported by the Regional Military Administration, the enemy struck the city’s infrastructure. All necessary services are working at the site of the impact. The consequences of the enemy attack are clarified.

Andrii Druzhchenko, Head of Vorozhba community, announced that the russian military bombarded the city of Vorozhba twice with Hrad MLRS and artillery. They hit a private enterprise, and private houses of local residents were also damaged.

Sumy RMA reported that at night and in the morning, the russians carried out 19 shelling attacks on the border areas and settlements of the oblast. A total of 98 explosions from various types of weapons were recorded. Bilopillia, Krasnopillia, Velyka Pysarivka, Nova Sloboda and Esman communities came under shelling.

On 16 March, the russian military carried out 66 shelling attacks; 286 explosions were recorded. 14 border communities were shelled, namely Myropillia, Yunakivka, Khotyn, Bilopillia, Vorozhba, Krasnopilska, Trostyanets, Velyka Pysarivka, Nova Sloboda, Shalyhine, Esman, Seredina-Buda, Svesa, and Znob-Novhorodske.

In the evening of 16 March, the General Staff reported that the russian SRG tried to penetrate into Ukraine in Sumy oblast twice, but were stopped by Ukrainian units.

In Sumy, emergency and rescue work was completed at the site of the impact of the Shahed type UAV on a five-story building on 13 March. As reported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs, 15 residents were injured during the attack: three people died, and 12 are in medical facilities. One person is considered missing. Two entrances to an apartment building (30 apartments) were destroyed and two apartment buildings were damaged.

Specialists of the State Emergency Service worked for four days at the place where the enemy drone was hit. The rescuers carried out the dismantling of the destroyed building structures and cleared the scene from the debris of the building structures. All damaged windows have been closed, water, gas, heat and electricity supply has been restored (with the exception of destroyed entrances). In the Invincibility Centre deployed by rescuers, 308 citizens were consulted, and 60 received psychological assistance. Residents of the affected apartments were temporarily relocated.

Sumy branch of Gazmerezhi reported that due to the massive damage to networks and buildings, Velyka Pysarivka is disconnected from gas supply – 1,375 consumers are without gas in the settlement. There is no information on gas shutdowns in other border settlements of Sumy oblast, because energy companies do not have access to these settlements due to the security situation.

The National Police reported that as of March 17, 190 people, including 26 children, were evacuated from Velyka Pysarivka community. The law enforcement officers noted that they primarily pay attention to families with children.

Chernihiv oblast

Vyacheslav Chaus, Head of Chernihiv RMA, said that on the night of 17 March, russian troops hit the oblast with two Kh-59 guided air missiles. A family with a 6-year-old child was left without a home. As reported by the regional police, as a result of the impact, a residential building, an outbuilding and a garage with a car belonging to local residents caught fire. None of the family members were injured – they managed to escape from the burning house in time.

Chernihiv border detachment reported that over the past day, russian troops attacked three border communities of Chernihiv oblast – Novhorod-Siverskyi, Semenivka, and Snovsk. A total of 79 hits were recorded from mortars, barrel artillery, drones, MLRS, and a rack-mounted automatic grenade launcher. 

Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine

Dnipropetrovsk oblast

Mykola Lukashuk, Head of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast Council, says that at night, a russian drone was shot down over Dnipropetrovsk oblast. On 17 March, 5 residents were injured in the city. In the morning, enemy kamikaze drones hit a gas station. Three men, aged 32, 43 and 67, as well as a 26-year-old woman, were injured there. 

The enemy also directed another drone at a high-rise building. A 65-year-old man was injured and taken to the trauma department in moderate condition. In total, there were 10 attacks in the area during the day. They sent 8 kamikaze drones and fired twice with artillery. They hit the regional center, Pokrovsk, Myrove and Marganets communities. An infrastructure facility, a gas station, a truck, a high-rise building, a private house, an outbuilding and a power line were damaged.

Vinnytsia oblast

In Vinnytsia oblast, police officers Roman Fedorenko and Serhii Khomenko, who died during the rocket attack on Odesa on 15 March were paid tribute.

Poltava oblast

As part of the “Don’t be silent.Captivity kills” campaign, a rally in support of prisoners of war was held in Kremenchuk. More than 30 cars took part in the action. It was organized by the families of prisoners of war of Mariupol garrison.

Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine

Zaporizhzhia oblast

On 16 March, russian occupiers launched 415 strikes on 10 settlements in Zaporizhzhia oblast. russian military personnel executed 2 airstrikes on Mala Tokmachka, carried out 13 artillery strikes on Robotyne and Mala Tokmachka, and attacked Novodanylivka, Huliaipole, Malynivka, Robotyne, Mala Tokmachka, Levadne, and Charivne with 124 drones. Additionally, 276 artillery strikes targeted the territories of Huliaipole, Robotyne, Malynivka, Mala Tokmachka, Novodanylivka, Verbove, Levadne, Kamianske, and Piatyhatky. There have been 8 reports of residential buildings and infrastructure objects being destroyed.

The General Staff reported that the enemy attacked the positions of Ukrainian defenders four times near Robotyne and northwest of Verbove in Zaporizhzhia oblast. 

Mykolaiv oblast

The enemy attacked Mykolaiv with two ballistic missiles, presumably Iskander-M, launched from the temporarily occupied Crimea. The russian tactics are identical to the strike on Odesa. Residential buildings, civilian vehicles, and infrastructure objects were damaged, with at least 6 local residents reported injured.

Mykolaiv Military Administration reports that on 16 March, at 09:31 and 14:15, the enemy conducted artillery shelling near the settlements of Kutsurub community. There were no casualties. At 14:20, artillery shelling targeted the city of Ochakiv, damaging a building. Additionally, on 16 March at 21:53 and the following day at 01:35, the enemy shelled the waters of Ochakiv community. During the night of 17 March, the air defense forces shot down a Shahed 131/136 UAV.

 The embassy of Denmark reports that the country transferred a batch of electrical equipment to the police and the State Emergency Service of Mykolaiv oblast. Ambassador Ole Egberg Mikkelsen assured that the Danish government would continue providing systematic support needed for the recovery of communities in Mykolaiv oblast. 

Odesa oblast

The South Operational Command reports that during the night of 16-17 March, russian forces attacked Odesa oblast with drones launched from the temporarily occupied Crimea. Two decommissioned agricultural enterprises were damaged. Fires occurred at the impact sites but were promptly extinguished, and no casualties were reported. According to the command, the drone combat operation lasted for about three hours, during which 13 drones were shot down over the region.

Odesa Customs reports that a memorial sign to the Odesa Customs service dog named Botsman was installed at Orlivka checkpoint, located at the customs border of Ukraine. This loyal four-legged assistant stood guard over customs security for many years and faithfully served his country. On 28 September, 2023, Botsman was killed as a result of a russian drone attack.

Odesa City Council reports that representatives of Norway were visiting Odesa on 15 March, when russians shelled the city. The diplomatic mission, led by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Norway to Ukraine Ms. Helena Sand Andersen, arrived in Odesa to discuss support for the recovery of Odesa city. During a meeting with representatives of the Odesa City Council, Ms. Sand Andersen expressed condolences over the tragedy. She noted that the people of Norway sympathize with Ukrainians and provide comprehensive support. 

Oleh Kiper, the head of Odesa Regional Military Administration, says that fortification structures are actively being built, and defensive barriers such as “dragon’s teeth,” anti-tank ditches, and other non-explosive obstacles are being installed in Odesa oblast to strengthen the region’s defense capabilities. About 150 people and 80 units of equipment are involved in these efforts. 

Kherson oblast

The russian military dropped an explosive from a drone at the village of Lvove. A 43-year-old man was injured, diagnosed with explosive trauma, shrapnel wounds, and an open leg fracture.

On 16 March, the enemy shelled Tiahynka, Shliakhove, Beryslav, Zolota Balka, Dudchany, Antonivka, Osokorivka, Olhivka, Veletenske, Yantarne, Sadove, Stanislav, Havrylivka and the city of Kherson. 2 multi-story buildings, 4 private houses, port infrastructure, and vehicles were damaged due to russian attacks. Four people were injured.

Intense daily counter-battery combat continues in the operational zone of the Southern Defense Forces. On 16 March, the enemy made 2 attempts to storm positions on the left bank of the Dnipro. They retreated to their original positions after suffering significant losses.

Our fighters continue maintaining and strengthening their positions, delivering fire strikes on enemy locations, firing positions, and rear areas. The enemy lost 142 occupiers, 1 Tor-M2 surface-to-air missile system, 6 cannons including Msta-B, 2 mortars, 1 boat, 4 portable electronic warfare systems and 24 units of armoured vehicles. Two field supply buidlups were destroyed.

133 families in Muzykivka community received solid fuel. The East SOS charity fund  purchased 266 cubic meters of firewood worth over 375 thousand hryvnias. The fuel was provided to residents of Muzykivka, Miroshnykivka, Vysuntsi, Skhidne, and Zahorianka, subjected to constant enemy attacks.

Employees of Kherson Art Museum identified two more stolen paintings in videos from propaganda media. Among the identified paintings stolen by russian troops during their escape to the left bank are the work of Czech painter Yaroslav Prokhazka “View from the Hill to Prague” and the painting of Kherson nonconformist artist Ivan Starenkov “Green Day”. As of 15 March, 2024, 96 stolen works were identified by employees of Kherson Museum.

Latest news for today in the western regions of Ukraine

Volyn oblast

The RMA held a meeting with Serhii Lozinskyi, Head of Volyn Border Detachment. They discussed the procedure for issuing passes for staying in a five-kilometre section from the state border within the oblast.

Lutsk City Council sent 3 DJI MAVIC 3 Fly More Combo quadcopters to the A1788 military unit and 2 DJI MAVIC 3T Enterprise (Thermal) and 2 DJI MAVIC Fly more combos to the A1910 military unit.

Zakarpattia oblast

The regional clinical centre of neurosurgery and neurology in Uzhhorod will cooperate with the Sharite clinic (Berlin). The relevant Memorandum was signed by health care institutions in Berlin the other day. In total, 10 Ukrainian medical institutions and 2 leading German hospitals agreed on a medical partnership.

Ivano-Frankivsk oblast

In Ivano-Frankivsk, on the facade of Krykhivetskyi Lyceum, an annotation board was opened to Vitalii Dzybiy, activist of the Union of Volunteers of the Carpathians, soldier of the 1st Special Forces Regiment Safari, soldier of the 78th Separate Airborne Assault Regiment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The hero was killed as a result of a wound he received in battle in Zaporizhzhia oblast.

Lviv oblast

In Yavoriv region, 4 defenders were posthumously awarded the III degree For Courage Order by the President of Ukraine. Volodymyr Taliar, resident of the village of Porudenko, was killed 31 August, 2022 in the southern direction of the front. Taras Ledvii, originally from Yavoriv, was killed as a result of artillery shelling in the village of Orikhove-Zolote, Luhansk oblast. Oleh Voznyi, resident of the village of Starichi, was killed 31 March, 2022 while performing a combat mission in Donetsk oblast. Yurii Seyidov, originally from Mostysk, on 16 September, 2022, defender went missing near the village of Ternovyi Pody, Mykolaiv oblast. His body was found on the battlefield on 15 February, 2023.

In Borynsky school, Sambir region, a memorial plaque was opened in honour of Ihor Izhik, graduate of the school. He was senior lieutenant, commander of the 2nd rifle company of the 1st rifle battalion, was killed on 26 June, 2022 in the village of Vovchoiarivka, Luhansk oblast. Awarded the Hero’s Cross orders (posthumously), the III degree Bohdan Khmelnytskyi (posthumously).

Rivne oblast

The number of shelters is increasing in Rivne oblast. Only in the last six months, 109 such objects appeared. The level of provision of medical facilities in the oblast with protective structures is 95%.

There is a working group in the oblast that deals with the housing issues of IDPs. In particular, the formation of an appropriate fund for temporary residence. At the 1st stage, a list of hostels in the oblast was prepared and objects that could be transferred to communal ownership and used for accommodation were analysed. Such housing will be provided for a period of 1 year with the possibility of extension

Ternopil oblast

The RMA held a meeting with representatives of the city of Stavanger, Norway. Support for Ukraine was discussed. In addition, the Cars for Ukraine fund (Norway) donated a batch of sports ammunition for schools in Ternopil and 10 cars for defenders at the front.

Ternopil City Council reported that over UAH 3.6 m has been allocated for reconstruction and repairs in schools and kindergartens in the city. Thus, UAH 1,854,000 was allocated for the purchase of fixed assets, as well as reconstruction and major repairs in kindergartens No. 3, 5 and 32.

Khmelnytskyi oblast

Khmelnytskyi City Council reported that 172 communal workers of the community are fighting in the ranks of the Armed Forces. Since the beginning of the war, 6 soldiers have been killed, and 2 missing. 16 communal workers lost their closest relatives in the war. 10 utility workers, together with the head of the enterprise, are now performing important tasks almost on the front line. Brigades of the community quite often went to rebuild de-occupied, bombed-out cities and build fortifications.

Chernivtsi oblast

Ruslan Zaparaniuk, Head of the RMA, met with Alexandru Viktor Mikula, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Romania to Ukraine. They discussed cooperation at the state and regional levels, the continuation of joint projects and the initiation of new initiatives within the framework of economic, educational, and cultural cooperation.

 

International support of Ukraine in the russian-Ukrainian war (russia’s invasion of Ukraine)

Nikos Dendias, Greek Minister of National Defense, met with Arvidas Anoushauskas, Minister of National Defense of Lithuania. Greece’s participation in Ukraine’s demining program was discussed.

Andrii Yermak, Head of the president’s office, had a phone conversation with Jake Sullivan, National Security Advisor to the President of the US. They discussed the situation on the battlefield and the urgent needs of Ukrainian defenders.

Most of Germany‘s ruling coalition supported the resolution in the European Parliament regarding the transfer of Taurus missiles to Ukraine.

Stephane Dujarric, Spokesman of the UN Secretary General, stated that Antonio Guterres condemned the kremlin’s attempts to hold “elections” for the president of the aggressor russia on the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine.

Grant Shapps, British Defense Minister, during a visit to Ukraine, cancelled a trip to Odesa due to the russian missile threat. This is reported by The Guardian. The defence chief rescheduled his visit after being warned by British intelligence that the Russians had become aware of his travel plans.

The first Lithuanian volunteer who was killed defending Ukraine was buried in Vilnius. The farewell lasted two days in the church of St. Ignatius, the temple of the Military Ordinariate of Lithuania. Gitanas Nauseda, President of Lithuania, also came.
