It has been the 748th day of the Ukrainian resistance to the russian military aggression. 

What happened in Ukraine today:

Here is operational information of the General Staff as of 6 pm:   

During the day of 12 March, there were 78x combat engagements.

The enemy launched a total of 9x missile and 73x air strikes, carried out 72x MLRS attacks at the positions of Ukrainian troops and various settlements. Unfortunately, russian terrorist attacks resulted in wounded civilians. Residential private and apartment buildings, as well as other infrastructure were destroyed and damaged.

Volyn and Polissya axes: no significant changes. No signs of formation of an offensive group.

Sivershchyna and Slobozhanshchyna axes: the adversary maintains its military presence in the areas of russia bordering Ukraine. The enemy continues its sabotage and reconnaissance activities, shelling Ukrainian settlements from the territory of russia and increases the density of minefields along the state border of Ukraine. The adversary launched air strikes in the vicinities of Soldatske, Popivka, Luhivka (Sumy oblast), Muravske, Bolohivka, Odnorobivka, Kozacha Lopan (Kharkiv oblast). More than 25x settlements came under enemy artillery and mortar fire, including Sen’kivka, Khrinivka, Bleshnya (Chernihiv oblast), Seredyna-Buda, Sukhodil, Malushyne, Pavlivka, Krasnopillya, Popivka (Sumy oblast), Udy, Strilecha, Starytsya (Kharkiv oblast).

Kupiansk axis: the Ukrainian defenders repelled 4x attacks in the vicinities of Synkivka and Tabaivka (Kharkiv oblast), where the occupiers made unsuccessful attempts to dislodge Ukrainian units from their positions. The occupiers launched air strikes in the vicinities of Kup’yans’k, Kivsharivka (Kharkiv oblast). The invaders fired artillery and mortars at more than 10x settlements, including Dvorichna, Synkivka, Petropavlivka, Ivanivka, Berestove (Kharkiv oblast).

Lyman axis: the Ukrainian defenders repelled 6x assaults in the vicinities of Terny (Donetsk oblast) and Bilohorivka (Luhansk oblast), where the adversary, with air support, made attempts to breach Ukrainian defense. The adversary launched air strikes in the vicinities of Serebrianske forestry (Luhansk oblast) and Serebryanka, Proletarske, Vyimka, Rozdolivka (Donetsk oblast). The enemy fired artillery and mortars at around 10x settlements, including Nevske (Luhansk oblast), Terny, Torske, Verkhnokamianske, Spirne, Rozdolivka (Donetsk oblast).

Bakhmut axis: the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 6x attacks in the vicinities east of Chasiv Yar, Klishchiivka, Ivanivske (Donetsk oblast), where the occupiers made attempts to improve their tactical situation. The enemy launched air strikes in the vicinities of Bohdanivka, Druzhba (Donetsk oblast). Around 10x settlements came under artillery and mortar fire, including Mykolaivka, Vasyukivka, Bohdanivka, Chasiv Yar, Ivanivske, Niu-York (Donetsk oblast).

Avdiivka axis: the Ukrainian defenders repelled 22x attacks in the vicinities of Berdychi, Orlivka, Tonenke, Pervomaiske (Donetsk oblast). The adversary launched air strikes in the vicinities of Novokalynove, Novobakhmutivka, Umanske, Oleksandropil (Donetsk oblast). The invaders fired artillery and mortars at around 15x settlements, including Prohres, Vovche, Zhelanne, Myrnohrad, Novohrodivka, Umanske (Donetsk oblast).

Novopavlivka axis: the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to hold back the invaders in the vicinities of Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, Novomykhailivka (Donetsk oblast). In that area, the invaders, with air support, made 19x attempts to breach Ukrainian defence. The adversary launched an airstrike in the vicinity of Urozhaine (Donetsk oblast). The enemy fired artillery and mortars at around 20x settlements, including Krasnohorivka, Berestky, Kostiantynivka, Antonivka, Katerynivka, Zolota Nyva, Blahodatne (Donetsk oblast).

Orikhiv axis: the enemy, with air support, conducted 6x attacks on positions of Ukrainian defenders in the vicinities of Staromaiorske (Donetsk oblast), west of Verbove and Robotyne (Zaporizhzhia oblast). The invaders launched an airstrike in the vicinity of Malynivka (Zaporizhzhia oblast). Around 20x settlements, including Malynivka, Huliaipole, Mala Tokmachka, Novoandriivka, Mali Shcherbaky, Prymorske (Zaporizhzhia oblast), were under artillery and mortar fire of the occupiers.

Odesa operational-strategic group, Kherson axis: the occupiers do not abandon their intention to drive Ukrainian units out of their footholds on the left bank of the Dnipro. The enemy conducted 3x attempts to assault positions of Ukrainian defenders. More than 15x settlements, including the city of Kherson, Khreshchenivka, Dudchany, Beryslav, Stanislav (Kherson oblast), were under artillery and mortar fire of the occupiers.

During the day of 12 March, the Ukrainian Air Force launched air strikes on 9x concentrations of troops, weapons and military equipment of the occupiers.

The Ukrainian missile troops hit 1x concentration of troops, 1x artillery system, 2x air-defense systems of russian invaders.


Andrii Yusov, a representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate, reported that General Budanov has been the target of more than 10 serious assassination attempts. Unfortunately, these attempts have resulted in the deaths of Ukrainian intelligence officers over the past 10 years. According to a representative of Ukrainian intelligence, the main targets of russians are the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, the President of Ukraine and the heads of Ukrainian special services.

On 12 March, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi signed Law №10448, which provides for the possibility of saving the reproductive cells of servicemen and servicewomen in case of their death.

Recent war events in the east of Ukraine

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that the defence forces repelled 58 russian attacks in Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts on 11 March. Most of the fighting was towards Novopavlivka.

Kharkiv oblast

Oleh Syniehubov, Head of Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, said that the russian federation hit the old hangars near Kharkiv. According to him, there were three strikes, preliminary, with S-300 missiles.

Viktor Kovalenko, Head of Zolochiv community, reported that a 56-year-old resident of Odnorobivka sustained shrapnel wounds as a result of russian strikes and was hospitalised. The shelling lasted from 1am. Three houses, outbuildings were destroyed and a significant number of private houses damaged as a result of strikes by the KAB, artillery, mortars and helicopters. The railway station was also destroyed and power and gas networks damaged.

The State Emergency Service said that in Kupiansk, Kharkiv region, the russian army dropped a bomb on a residential apartment building. As of 4:15am, the fire was extinguished. Rescuers examined the damaged building and found no casualties.

Andrii Besedin, Head of Kupiansk City Military Administration, confirmed that there were no people living in the five-storey building at the time of the russian attack. The house is located near the central market which was completely destroyed, so people either moved away or evacuated. A 250kg bomb fell next to the five-storey building. Five apartments in two entrances were completely burnt down and the building will be inspected by specialists.

According to Kharkiv REgional Military Administration, yesterday about 15 settlements in Kharkiv oblast suffered artillery and mortar attacks: Synkivka, Udy, Strilecha, Starytsia, Berestove and others. The enemy launched airstrikes on Obukhivka, Ambarne, Kupiansk and Petropavlivka.

At 10pm, a private house was damaged during the shelling in Vovchansk. There were no casualties.

At 3:20pm, 1 person was killed during an enemy mortar attack and three men aged 46, 38, 46 injured in Hlushkivka village, Kupiansk region.

At 3:09pm, a 54-year-old man was killed as a result of the explosion of an unknown explosive object in Verbivka village, Izium region.

At 1:42pm, a 66-year-old woman was injured and a private house damaged in Vovchansk as a result of hostile shelling.

At 1:20pm, a private household was damaged as a result of an enemy shelling in Kozacha Lopan village, Derhachi region. There were no casualties.

At 10:39am, three private houses were damaged during the shelling in Vovchansk. There were no casualties.

At 10:14am, a car was damaged as a result of the drop of a munition in Derhachi. There were no casualties.

The enemy did not conduct any offensive actions yesterday.

Combined teams of experts cleared 14.53 hectares of territory and destroyed 281 explosive ordnance. Mine clearance is ongoing.

During the day, 19 children and their families were evacuated.

Serhii Bolvinov, Head of Kharkiv police investigation department, stated that the men injured as a result of the shelling of Hlushkivka in Kurylivka community on 11 March were working as builders. Kurylivka community was hit by artillery. Three employees of the construction company were injured and another 48-year-old man killed. 

Donetsk oblast

The press service of Donetsk police reported that yesterday the enemy attacked 8 settlements in the oblast 10 times. In total, Donetsk oblast suffered 1457 attacks.

Krasnohorivka, Kurakhove, Toretsk cities, Hostre, Zhelanne settlements, Maksymilianivka, Ptyche and Stavky villages were shelled by aerial bombs, rockets and artillery. 21 residential buildings were damaged.

Seydove was attacked by six S-300 missiles. Two women were injured. At least 59 civilian objects were destroyed, including 48 residential buildings, 18 apartment buildings and 30 private houses. One private house was destroyed by a direct missile hit. At the time of the explosion, there were two elderly people inside. Police officers and the State Emergency Service provided them with assistance.

According to Donetsk Regional Military  Administration, towards Volnovakha, a house was damaged in Novoukrainka of Vuhledar community.

Towards Pokrovsk, Selydove was hit by a rocket attack and as a result, 2 people were injured, 18 private houses, 14 apartment buildings, 2 administrative buildings damaged and another 2 houses completely destroyed. 3 houses were damaged in Hostre of Kurakhove community.

Towards Kramatorsk, the neighbourhoods of Kostiantynivka and Lyman communities were under attack, with neither casualties nor destruction.

Towards Bakhmut, a person was injured and 16 houses damaged in Toretsk. 2 private houses were damaged in Chasiv Yar. Rozdolivka, Vasiukivka of Soledar community, Pereizne and Verkhnokamianske of Zvanivka community were shelled.

In one day, russians shelled settlements in Donetsk oblast 16 times. 612 people, including 136 children, were evacuated from the frontline.

Ukrainian army serviceman Yevhen Iievliev informed that Ukrainian troops repelled one position of the russian army towards Horlivka on 11 March. Neither at night nor in the morning russian fighters returned to this position.

A book by Mariupol defender Valeriia Nava Subotina, Captivity, has been published. Her husband was killed by russians a few days after their wedding at Azovstal. The book contains the testimony of a woman who spent almost a year in enemy captivity, her memories from Olenivka and taganrog.

Luhansk oblast

According to Luhansk Regional Military Administration, the enemy focused the attack towards Lyman. With the support of aviation and artillery, they tried to advance near Bilohorivka and south of Nevske. At the same time, russians probably took a short tactical pause towards Kupiansk of the front. This applies exclusively to assault operations. The shelling and airstrikes do not stop there. Abother airstrike was launched on Kryvoshiivka.

In Rubizhne, the touring builders are carrying out demonstration repairs to the only surviving houses. In one of them, they dismantled the owners’ surviving windows and disappeared a few weeks ago. In the other, new windows were installed, but without handles, so the windows cannot be opened. To get into apartments where the owners are absent, these repairmen break down the doors. Instead, they can install a standard door, which is much lower in height, leaving large holes at the top. Until russians or collaborators move in, the keys to the apartment are kept at the commandant’s office. To get them, they force you to apply for a russian passport and now it is not enough to have all the necessary documents for real estate. The situation with personal property is the same, it disappears with the next contractor.

The soldiers of the Rubizh rapid response brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine received 5 off-road vehicles. These vehicles, worth almost UAH 6m, were purchased at the expense of the subvention. The vehicles will be used to quickly deliver ammunition or perform other tasks near the contact line, including evacuating the injured.

What is happening now in the north of Ukraine

Kyiv oblast

According to the Main Department of the National Police of the oblast, police officers found 1,590 bodies in Kyiv oblast after the de-occupation, 208 of which were military and law enforcement personnel. 307 people remain missing.

According to Kyiv Digital app, a thousand air raid alarms have been sounded in Kyiv since the start of the full-scale invasion. The one thousandth alert was announced at 11:55am. The total duration of the air alert in the capital reached 1165 hours and 26 minutes, which is more than 48 days of uninterrupted alerts.

According to Kyiv RMA, construction of a shelter for gymnasium students is underway in Fastiv district. The monolithic work has already been completed by 93%. The work is being carried out at the expense of The Fund for Elimination of the Consequences of Armed Aggression. Currently, 117 students study at the gymnasium. The educational process is carried out in a mixed form in another educational institution in the nearest settlement.

According to the Security Service of Ukraine, they neutralised a criminal organisation in Kyiv that was conducting information sabotage under the guise of the moscow Patriarchate under the order of the russian federal security service. The offenders face life imprisonment.

On 13 March, another entrance hall of Khreshchatyk metro station, which leads to Instytutska Street, will be reopened. It has been closed since the beginning of the full-scale war. 

According to the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine, the grand opening of a charity auction for women in the military will take place in Kyiv. The auction will last until 28 March to raise funds for the purchase of medicines and ammunition for the military. As of January 2024, more than 45,000 women serve in the Ukrainian army, including 13,000 who have the status of combatants and about 20,000 military medics.

Zhytomyr oblast

According to Zhytomyr RMA, in Zhytomyr oblast, it is possible to apply for one-time financial assistance from the Ministry of Veterans at one of the 50 Administrative Service Centres. The assistance is for people with disabilities caused by war and family members of defenders of Ukraine.

In Zhytomyr, the city plans to rename streets to de-russify public space. The new names will be chosen through public discussions. The Department of Urban Development and Land Relations of Zhytomyr City Council is accepting suggestions and comments from city residents.  

Sumy oblast

According to Sumy RMA, at 9:20 a.m., the russian military conducted an air strike on the Velyka Pysarivka community of Sumy district. An enemy aircraft dropped two guided aerial bombs on the residential sector of the settlement. A large family suffered as a result of the shelling: two children aged 6 and 10 and an adult were wounded. Five residential buildings and a garage were damaged.

At night and in the morning, the russians fired 9 times at the border areas and settlements of Sumy oblast. There were 96 attacks from various types of weapons. The Khotin, Bilopillia, Krasnopillia, Velyka Pysarivka, Znob-Novhorodske, Seredyna-Buda communities were shelled.

According to Sumy RMA, on March 11, russians fired 39 times at Sumy oblast. There were 265 explosions. 11 communities in the oblast came under fire: Yunakivka, Belopillia, Myropil, Krasnopillia, Velyka Pysarivka, Trostianets, Nova Sloboda, Shalyhine, Esman, Seredyna-Buda, Znob-Novhorodske. The enemy fired from mortars, artillery, MLRS, dropped explosives from UAVs, and launched 10 missiles from a helicopter. 

According to the State Emergency Service of Sumy oblast, on March 11, russian troops launched a missile attack on one of the settlements of Okhtyrka district. Civilian infrastructure, including a school, was destroyed. At the time of the strike on the educational institution, children were in the shelter – none of the students were injured. Rescuers extinguished the fire and inspected the area.

The Sumy RMA has denied the information spread by russians on social media about a massive offensive in Sumy oblast. This is a fake aimed at destabilising and increasing panic among residents of the oblast. As of today, there are no enemy strike groups near the borders of Sumy oblast. At the same time, there is still a danger of air strikes and shelling of border communities.

Student teams of the Sumy community received almost UAH 400,000 to implement their own projects related to youth development. The money for the projects will be provided under the UPSHIFT programme implemented by the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF). 

Chernihiv oblast

According to the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, russian troops fired nine times at the border of Chernihiv oblast. Semenivka and Snovsk communities were under fire. There were 48 attacks with mortars, artillery and the dropping of an unknown object from a UAV.

According to the Economic Development Department of the Chernihiv RMA, since the beginning of the full-scale war, the industry of Chernihiv oblast has recovered by 80%. However, by the end of 2022, as a result of the war, the oblast’s industry reduced production by almost a quarter, agriculture by 20%, exports fell by almost 40%, and construction, except for reconstruction projects, has almost stopped.

Oleksandr Lomako, acting mayor of Chernihiv, reported that Denmark will build 410 apartments and a 200-seat kindergarten in Chernihiv for families who lost their homes as a result of the war. Construction is scheduled to start in February 2025. According to the working plan, 7 houses and a kindergarten are to be completed by the end of the first half of 2027.

Servicemen from Chernihiv oblast have won six gold medals at the Air Force and Marine Corps Trials 2024 (AFMC) veterans’ competition in the United States. Dmytro Tereshchenko, a 20-year-old veteran, won five gold medals at the competition: four individual awards in different types of swimming and the fifth in the team relay. Ruslan Sumin, a 30-year-old veteran, won a gold medal as part of the Ukrainian national sitting volleyball team. 

Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine

Dnipropetrovsk oblast

In the evening 3 people were injured by artillery fire, 2 women, aged 43 and 48 and a man aged 49.

In total, the enemy attacked 3 times. Twice the region’s centre was hit and Chervonohryhorivka community once. A shop, 17 residential buildings, 11 outbuildings, 5 cars, 4 gas pipelines and 7 power lines were damaged, one private house completely destroyed. 1714 houses were left without electricity.

In Kryvyi Rih 2 buildings – a five- and a nine-story building – caught on fire due to the enemy attack. More than 36 people, including 7 children, were injured and 2 people killed. The rescue operation is ongoing. The State Emergency Service, doctors, all services are working.

russians attacked Nikopol region. They launched 3 kamikaze drones and fired from artillery. They hit the region’s center and Marhanets community. The enemy attacked Synelnykove region, hitting an agricultural enterprise. No one was injured.

Vinnytsia oblast

In 2023, almost 5,200 people used the Veteran service at Vinnytsia Administrative Service Center. The service provides priority service in all Transparent Offices for combatants, people with disabilities as a result of war, war veterans and fallen defenders’ family members.

Vinnytsia Lyceum No.27 raised over UAH 250,000 for the Armed Forces of Ukraine during the fair. As part of Tarasova’s Delicious Ukraine charity event the school organised patriotic karaoke, an exhibition and an auction of painted military artefacts. Guests were treated to a variety of authentic dishes from different parts of Ukraine. The fair helped to raise funds to support the army and psychologically relieve the event’s participants including defenders and fallen soldiers’ families.

Kirovohrad oblast

According to Haivoron City Council, at the session they voted for changes to the budget for 2024. Deputies unanimously supported the decision to allocate UAH 600,000 for the Armed Forces needs.

Poltava oblast

The charity auction organised by volunteers of the 4-5-0 movement in Poltava took place on 10 March. The event raised UAH 132,000. The  money will be used for the Armed Forces of Ukraine military needs. The volunteers plan to buy materials to equip dugouts.

Cherkasy oblast

In Monastyryshche, a soldier Volodymyr Dzirun was posthumously awarded the Order of the III degree. He served after signing a contract with the Armed Forces of Ukraine. At the age of 20, he was the commander of an airborne assault unit. On 15 June, 2023, Volodymyr was killed in the line of duty.

Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine

Zaporizhzhia oblast

Ivan Fedorov, Head of Zaporizhzhia RMA, reported that on 11 March, the russian military conducted 243 strikes on 14 cities and villages in Zaporizhzhia oblast. 47 UAV attacks targeted Huliaipole, Novodanylivka, Robotyne, Shyroke and Malynivka, while other settlements were subjected to missile, aviation, MLRS and artillery attacks.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine states that the defence forces repelled 7 russian attacks near Robotyne, Staromaiorsk and northwest of Verbove.

Rafael Grossi, Director General of IAEA, believes that the prohibition on Ukrainian personnel access to Zaporizhzhia NPP does not directly threaten its safety. The situation is not considered permanent in the long term. However, given the current circumstances with the station halted, the personnel present can still carry out their duties.

Mykolaiv oblast

Vitaliy Kim, Head of Mykolaiv RMA, reported that on 11 March, at 10:35am, 4:45pm and on 12 March, at 01:41am, enemy artillery shelling was recorded in the water area of Ochakiv community. Also, on 11 March at 4:05pm, Ochakiv was under artillery attack. There were no casualties. Overnight on 12 March, air defense forces shot down 4 russian Shahed 131/136 UAVs in Mykolaiv oblast.

According to the Ukrainian Naval Forces, on 11 March, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed a tanker under the russian flag, Mechanic Pogodin, near Kinburn Spit. Also russians were using it as a command post.

Odesa oblast

During the night, russians once again resorted to a combined missile-drone attack on Ukrainian territory, launching a missile and Shahed-131/136 drones toward the southern regions. As reported by the South Operational Command, the enemy attacked Mykolaiv and Kherson oblasts by drones, while a missile targeted Odesa oblast. Military personnel identified the missile as an X-59. Also russians launched it from a tactical aircraft, from the Black Sea towards Odesa, and air defence units destroyed it over the sea.

According to the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, on 12 March, employees of the Defence Intelligence of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine and diplomats evacuated another 47 Ukrainian citizens from the Gaza Strip. They were transported to Odesa. Over three mission stages, the total number of evacuated Ukrainians from the Gaza Strip reached 363 individuals.

Kherson oblast

Zaporizhzhia RMA reported that the russian military shelled Kherson, injuring a 42-year-old man. He was hospitalised with an explosive injury.

In the fields near Andriivka village in Kherson oblast, a man was blown up on a russian explosive device. It is presumed that he stepped on the Lepestok anti-personnel mine. He lost part of his leg and received an explosive injury.

Defense Forces of South Ukraine states that overnight anti-aircraft defence units shot down 2 russian Shahed-131/136 UAVs in the skies over Kherson oblast.

Oleksandr Prokudin, Head of Kherson RMA, informed that the russian military shelled 17 settlements in Kherson oblast. As a result of the shelling, 1 person was killed and 3 others wounded. 13 private houses and an educational institution were damaged. 

Yurii Sobolevskyi, Deputy Head of Kherson Regional Council, said that nearly 200 settlements in TOT of Kherson oblast are without electricity, and some also lack water supply.

Latest news for today in the western regions of Ukraine

Volyn oblast

In Lutsk, in the local history museum of Volyn, the exhibition Azov Regiment – Angels of Mariupol was opened. This is a project initiated by the families of fallen defenders of Ukraine, who united in the Heart Out public association. Over 200 photos and biographies of the killed Azov residents, who defended Mariupol in full encirclement, are collected here.

Zakarpattia oblast

Roman Sarai, Head of Zakarpattia Regional Council, together with Viktor Mykyta, Head of Zakarpattia RMA, visited one of the best rehabilitation centres in Austria, Rehabilitationszentrum Häring in the town of Bad Haring. Leaders of Zakarpattia discussed with Huber Burkhard, Director and medic of the rehabilitation centre, the possibility of sending personnel to Zakarpattia to exchange experience.

Uzhgorod City Council reported that they held a meeting of representatives of Ukrainian cities within the framework of Slovak-Ukrainian cross-border cooperation.

Ivano-Frankivsk oblast

Almost 13,000 people were rehabilitated in Prykarpattia medical facilities last year. Almost every fourth of them is a military serviceman. Currently, 20 medical institutions provide rehabilitation services in the oblast. Last year, 15 specialised departments worked, of which 6 were updated during the year. A total of 463 beds have been deployed. This year, it is planned to open 3 more rehabilitation departments in the cluster hospitals of Burshtyn, Verkhovyna and Kosov. Also recently, on the basis of the Center of Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine OKL, the Center of Excellence, one of the six in Ukraine, started working, where training is held for teams of rehabilitators with the aim of forming a capable rehabilitation network in the oblast.

Lviv oblast

The 9th session of the Ukrainian-Polish Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation was held in Lviv. The delegation of Ukraine worked under the leadership of Iryna Vereshchuk, Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine – Minister of Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine. The delegation of the Republic of Poland was headed by Krzysztof Hetman, Minister of Development and Technologies of the Republic of Poland.

Volunteers of Horodotsk community and the Borets NGO sent 13 DJI Mavic 3 Pro, 7 DJI Mavic 3 Termal and 20 FPV Thunder to the military. Employees of the Horodotsk Center of Primary Health Care sent an FPV drone to the 24th Separate Mechanised Brigade named after King Danylo. In addition, volunteers delivered 2 Ford Ranger pick-ups to the 1st Separate Assault Brigade and the 3rd Separate Assault Brigade, specifically for the 3rd SAB they also provided Starlink.

Residents of Zhovtanets community donated over UAH 60,000 for the Armed Forces. Funds were collected at a charity concert held in the People’s House of Velyke Kolodno village. Creative teams of community institutions took part in it. A fair of goodies from local housewives was also held as part of the event.

The Honorary Consulate of the Slovak Republic officially opened in Lviv oblast. Yurii Peresta became the Honorary Consul of the Slovak Republic in Lviv.

Rivne oblast

Junior Lieutenant Oleksandr Balashov was awarded with the III degree For Courage Order (posthumously). The hero was killed 10 August 2023 in Donetsk oblast.

Ternopil oblast

At night, as a result of attacks by enemy UAVs of the Shahed type, a fire broke out at one of the infrastructure facilities in Kremenets district. 19 units of special equipment, 73 personnel and a tactical robot were involved in extinguishing the fire. There were no casualties or injuries. During the Shahed attack, the electricity and gas supply was suspended in the nearest settlement to the damaged infrastructure object. A headquarters for liquidation of the consequences of an extraordinary event has been established in Kremenets region. All structures act according to their powers.

According to the conclusions of the Regional Center for Disease Control and Prevention, during the study of atmospheric air samples taken near the damaged infrastructure object, no excesses of the maximum allowable norms of the content of harmful substances were found in Kremenets region. Specialists of the State Production and Consumer Service and the State Eco-Inspection took water from local wells and open water bodies. 17 households were notified of recommendations to limit the use of water from wells for drinking and cooking. Delivery of bottled water is being organised for these residents.

Khmelnytskyi oblast

The RMA reported that at night, during an air alert, the air defence forces shot down 4 unmanned aerial vehicles of the Shahed type. There was no information about casualties or damage to property. The places where the debris fell are being established.

Oleksandr Simchyshyn, Head of Khmelnytskyi City Council, together with mayors of Stuttgart and Dresden, signed a unique tripartite agreement on solidarity partnership between the cities.

Chernivtsi oblast

The RMA held a meeting with participants of hostilities and families of the killed, who received monetary compensation for the purchase of housing in 2023. Last year, UAH 65,4m were allocated from the state budget of Chernivtsi oblast. With the funds, it was possible to provide housing for 31 combatants. Participants of the meeting discussed social issues, the importance of patriotic education of the youth, the need to unite the efforts of the public and the authorities in confronting the external enemy.

International support of Ukraine in the russian-Ukrainian war (russia’s invasion of Ukraine)

The Committee on International Trade of the European Parliament approved the proposal to extend the temporary suspension of import duties and quotas for the export of Ukrainian agricultural products to the EU for one more year, from 6 June 2024 to 5 June 2025, in order to support Ukraine in the conditions of the ongoing aggressive war of the russian federation.

Democrats in the US House of Representatives have launched an investigation into Elon Musk’s SpaceX to find out whether the company took adequate steps to prevent russia from using the Starlink satellite internet service in its war against Ukraine.

Andrii Yermak, Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, had a phone conversation with Jake Sullivan, US President’s national security advisor. They discussed the situation on the battlefield and the urgent needs of Ukrainian defenders.

Temporary protection for Ukrainian asylum seekers in Poland has been extended until 30 June, 2024. The relevant law was signed the other day by Andrzej Duda, President of Poland. The document provides for the preservation of previous conditions and benefits.

Armands Ruks, Head of the State Police of Latvia, stated that the policemen and border guards during putin’s “elections” will conduct checks of persons near the russian embassy regarding the right to stay in the country.
